What's up? This is Cedric back on the Zach Nichols podcast talking about you'll have to tune in to figure it out. No teasers over here.
Welcome back to Zach Nichols podcast. I'm here with my co-house. The Big Fettuccini. What up, though. More importantly, hot off the sophomore slump. We got Cedges.
Yeah. Welcome to the club. I had a sophomore slump as well. Hey, look. You know? It's tough. You know what, though? It wouldn't have been a sophomore slump if you went home last season.
You see what I'm saying? Yeah. So you made to a final. That's tough to do.
season after season. But anyways, congratulations on being on season 42. Thank you. Thank you.
How'd you like Thailand?
Thailand was a fun time. It was a cool. I mean, you know, for me, it wasn't the funnest time,
clearly. But Thailand's super dope. It was really cool. I enjoyed it. Yeah, it's hot as heck, though.
Oh, yeah. No, I know. Oh, yeah. I did three tours. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Go ahead. No, you go, but we were going to say, I stood outside. Like, we had to, you know,
sometimes you got to go to a hotel first. I was like so, like, so.
Locked in.
I was standing outside trying to prepare for the weather.
Like,
I'm going to lock in.
It's not going to be hot when I get there.
Shit,
still melting me.
No,
it's always going to be hot in Thailand.
It could be midnight and it's like 105.
You're like,
the hell.
Yeah,
that's crazy.
Well,
one thing about you,
I know you're always going to have a good time
no matter where you're at.
You're very easy to get along with.
As a matter of fact,
so this is a true, true story.
I got to start the podcast with this.
So I picked Cedric up from the airport yesterday.
We're like, hey,
hey,
what you want to eat?
He's like,
man,
something fast food style.
I recommend Chick-fil-A.
We agree.
We're going to Chick-fil-A and Novi, right?
We're in the line.
It's a tough one to get in and out of.
It is.
It kind of took a little minute.
Especially with your driver.
Which, no, no, no.
Let's not do that.
So we get there and we're in the line.
And Chick-fil-A, there's a little line.
And we got the windows open and we're having like somewhat of a,
I think, looking back on it, kind of a louder conversation.
Yeah.
And this car from front of us goes like, hey, and I turn.
The side, the side of us.
I'm sorry, on the side of us, but a little bit in front of us.
but a little bit in front, but like enough to be able to see into the windshield.
She goes, hey, like, you know, I turn my head and goes, can I get your snap right away?
Not you.
Him.
And she was trying to holler at Cedric, you know?
You probably don't have a snap because you're so old.
Oh, I have a snap.
Plug it right now.
Yeah, I'm at night.
Hey, bro, these people, you saw what I said.
You showed you yesterday.
Y'all be whiling out with this book.
What you send me?
Don't send me stuff.
From, stop me, bro.
Hey, cut that.
Hey, yo.
That's a hip-o violation.
Bleep that shit.
Bleep that shit.
Get it.
Hi,
Hi,
now we got to tell you.
I got,
I got explicit stuff sent to me yesterday.
We laughed about it.
That name is getting bleeped out.
So anyways,
so this chick goes,
Not a hippo violation.
So this chick goes,
not you,
him over there in the driver's seat.
And talk about the reaction.
What happened after that?
Yeah, so, you know,
I'm just in there.
Really, I'm hungry.
I'm stomach growling,
you know,
feelings hurt a little bit.
And she's like,
yeah,
let me get your snap and I look over.
I'm like, how old are you?
You know what I mean?
Like I could tell for sure.
Like it was given could be freshman year in college,
could also be junior in high school.
You know what I mean?
Something like, uh,
she reads it to a sophomore level.
Literally, no, literally though.
That's crazy.
So I was like, I don't think you're old enough.
Yeah, you know, you look a little young.
Yeah, you look, you look young, right?
And she's like, well, how old are you?
I was like, I'm 23.
And then so, you know, I start that little laugh.
Her and a car girl.
they start dying laughing.
Yeah, yeah.
She's like, hey, J,
nothing but a number.
I was like,
baby, so is a prison sentence.
That is a number too.
Hold on, hold on.
What did she say back?
I don't remember.
No, I remember what she said.
She goes,
not in Michigan.
Not in Michigan.
Yeah, she said that.
Bro.
Is that true?
The age of consent in Michigan
is 16, I believe.
But, like, the fact that she basically said,
like, no, you're legally in the clear.
Like, fuck with me.
You know what I'm saying?
Like to make it clear I did not absolutely.
Yeah.
You stiff arm this chick.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You gave her the strong Heisman.
You rode the window one.
And then Leo and then Leo jumped out of the trunk,
popped into their car.
You haven't seen them since.
Oh, no.
Shout out to Leo, bro.
Leo from Lob Island.
That should be the hashtag.
Yeah, there's this episode.
There's these things in business called barriers to entry.
Leo doesn't seem to look at those.
He just tries to entry.
And we'll get to all.
All that.
Maybe not even try.
A little bit.
We'll get to all that a little bit later.
We are going to cover the app first.
We're going to cover the app first and then we'll do some deep dive into, into Cedric.
So, four starts off immediately to the Daily Challenge.
We'll try love as a viewer.
Let's get right to it.
Are you watching the season of Big Brother?
Here and there.
I was going to bring up what happened last night.
No, BB.
We can still talk about it, but.
Devin's a savage.
Oh, with the diamond joint?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
We'll talk about that later.
We'll talk about that later.
So episode four of season 42,
Make sure you go get it, Paramount Plus.
If you're not watching, you're fucking up.
It's really good.
It starts off immediately at the Daily Challenge,
which I love is a viewer, get right to it.
I saw some people hating on that, though.
They said they wanted breakfast drama.
No, I like how they went right to it.
I do too.
I like the competition.
Start it up.
Enjoyable.
It's called infiltration drive.
You swim from the beach to dock.
Everyone's got to get there.
Then dock to other dock.
Only stopping for air in the air bubbles,
which is heavy McDonald's playplace vibes
if you know about it.
McDonald's with the with the bubble.
A little joint on the top.
You're looking out.
They still had those.
You were a kid?
Yeah.
I used to,
I used to hack it.
I used to take the trays.
You know what I'm talking about the food trays?
And go down the slide on the food tray.
Bro,
that shit is a boost pad dog.
Used to like shoot out the end for a seat.
Bro, you're a liability problem on that.
But I didn't have a dad to stop me.
Like,
I wasn't allowed in those play pens.
You were too fucking tall.
No, my mom was like, you're going to get too many germs from all those balls.
Oh, that's crazy.
So anyhow, then once everyone finishes phase two, while getting the prizes, the rest of the team can go back.
Thoughts on this daily.
What did you think about this?
This is, this one's tough.
Finally, they're getting some hard shit.
This is very difficult.
And Tori even made a post that was like, you have no idea, like, they didn't show it,
but like a lot of people struggled to do this.
I'm sure there's people that had to take, like, they had to come up and try again.
This is hard.
Yeah.
Diving is hard.
Yeah.
What did you think about this one?
Is this one,
do you think you would have done well at?
Oh,
I mean,
I think I would have killed it.
I love these type of challenges.
It's a difficult challenge.
Yeah,
but those are the ones I love,
like the ones that people have to think,
like, oh,
I might not be,
because I don't have that,
like, oh,
I can't perform kind of vibe.
So I love it
because it psyches everyone else out.
There's challenges you can show up to
and just do kind of an autopilot.
This is one where you have to,
like, put yourself
in a very uncomfortable situation.
And they've done something like this before.
They did it on bloodlines.
And it was in the ocean on the agency off of Turkey and it was like you had to first person had to swim
Find the bubble and then wait for the next person and you could only leave that bubble when the other person came in
They used the same bubbles and Jenna got in there and said it was terrible I didn't do this one
I've done diving challenges before and they're not my favorite yeah this is water and claustrophobia
This is a tough challenge. It's a tough challenge and especially if you're not used to diving like it's not a it's a trippy feeling I scuba dive
scuba certified you know you want to you want to go for an adventure click in with me got to wait
be 16 in michigan to do that though got to be 18 everywhere to do it with cedric i'm not playing
okay but yeah it's a super unfamiliar feeling and like you get tripped out because it's a it's not
like it's a covered bubble either it's clear so you still feel like you're under the water and
you're breathing so and the other thing too is there's only a certain amount of oxygen in that bubble
and if you're like the last person to go like you're basically breathing in everyone else is a CO2
Yeah, pure carbon dioxide in there. I mean, I don't know how much is actually in there.
So that's what I was thinking. I'm like, how much action is there?
Yeah, they're not pumping it back in. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's a limited supply.
Unless they did, but I don't think they did. Yeah. I love, personally, I love this. A team challenge is really hard. But it still focuses on individual performance. So you could be, you know, we saw Chris.
Oh, definitely showed who's got it. Who's got it. Who doesn't? Yes. Yeah. We saw Chris and he's, you know, the caboose for the, the, uh, the great team. And he's just waiting. It doesn't matter how good you are, bro. The rest of the,
team still has to finish. So two questions. And I'm going to go right into you first is we see
some people life jacket and some people not. Are you choosing for you specifically? Are you doing
jacket or no jacket for this? It depends on how far it is. Like the swim out, I think it's always better
to wear a life jacket than not. 99.8% of the time. Like the point two, if you're an immaculate
collegiate level swimmer and you just are locked in. Like a good example is Jeremy. He did like this
crazy hard swim course for the Marines.
core. It's like if you can do that and perform, it's fine. I think everybody else should wear a life
jacket because it all is doing is making it easier to swim, like to stay above.
You're exerting less energy before you do something very tough and frightening.
Right. So this one, like you said, because there was a period where you were just standing
on the dock, why wouldn't you wear a life jacket? Right. It's just going to make you more
buoyant. You're going to be less tired from the swim out there. And you can take it off on your dive.
Exactly.
I didn't take it off.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
This is a no-brainer.
Yeah.
I mean, we see.
We're the life jagger.
We just,
we saw, you know,
Letty, she was flying.
Obviously, Justin.
She was flying, you know.
Justin.
Lemon and working out.
Like,
yeah.
It's more of like a flex in this one to be like,
oh, I didn't need a life checker at all.
Right.
For me.
But you did see there was current.
Yeah.
Like,
there was current above the water,
which makes things incredibly more difficult.
Like,
like in Thailand,
like in Thailand,
there's always a current.
And you're like,
the fuck is this water going?
From where?
Where are you going?
We see Lettie.
She dominates.
Justin's right behind her.
Lettie starts to bust it open when she gets to the platform.
Got to celebrate the small wins if you're on Team Blue.
Theoretically, this should be an advantage for Blue because they have less people.
I do have a question for you, though.
You were well regarded as one of the best swimmers on 41.
You know, famously you crush the Water Tower Challenge.
Everybody said you're one of the few, if maybe one of the only ones, to go straight through and then out,
which people struggled with.
But like, are you the best swimmer from 42 amongst the men?
No, no, no, I'm sorry, from 41 amongst the man.
No, no, Jeremy's definitely better swimming me.
Like, hands down.
But Justin Leo will, you're taking you?
No, I think we're all pretty like Justin, Leo and Will, I think we're all in the same tier.
Like, if we were to swim 200, we would all probably finish one or two strokes with each other.
Okay, very humble. I like that.
I'm a realist.
Yeah, is it real?
theoretically should be an advantage for blue they have less people right i mean yeah so basically
the way you think about it is that concludes the free preview of the zack nichols podcast so go to
