So welcome back to the Zach Nichols podcast.
And I got a big news.
First of all, Norese canceled on us for today.
Bro.
That's the first big news.
She couldn't get a dog sitter.
But don't worry.
So be back.
No, no.
She's still coming on the show.
She just couldn't find a dog sitter, which I can, like Josh said, I have empathy for.
Like, I can empathize with you for that, but I don't have sympathy.
Okay.
Chees dick.
Secondly, very important news.
We have a godfather on the couch today.
Oh, shit.
And I don't think this was ever announced.
But Jenna and I sat down and we decided that the godparents for Vince and John Nichols,
I forgot who the godmother was.
But the godfather is the one and only the big fetid one.
I'll take some applause for me.
Yeah, that is huge.
It's a big deal to me.
The fact that he's my only Catholic friend had nothing to do with it.
No, but for real.
When I brought it up, because like, here's the gist of it is,
I don't, I'm not Catholic.
I'm not.
My wife is, my kids.
You got baptized.
My kids are.
But Jenna, you know, Italians and they're in the mob.
So they do all the crazy.
Hell yeah.
And so I have not picked out a single Godparent for any of our kids.
Not because like I don't care.
I really don't.
But because I don't really know anyone that's Catholic.
So they're trying to figure it out.
And like we have, you know, 300 kids.
So there's no, like the options, Jenna's like,
all, you know, like we can start doubling up.
I was like, no, Pierre's going to be the godfather.
And everyone in the room was like, that is a great idea.
And so the only godparent for any of my kids, that's 10 godparents.
Yes.
The only one that I picked is my PIC.
Hell yeah.
And I'm excited to be Vincent's godfather.
So for me, this is a tremendous, tremendous honor.
And I'm really excited because it gives me and Jenna something to text about.
Because it's all this thing.
I'm like, what are we doing for the birthday?
Like, what are we doing for the baptism?
I am locked in.
And it is a tremendous honor for those of you guys who are cast, like you know,
like I take it very, very, very seriously, both on a, you know, leading him to salvation
and the afterlife, all that stuff.
Well, also, showering him with gifts and cash and everything he needs to be a bad, you know what I'm saying?
Bad man, majammer, which he will be.
So I'm super excited to be in his life and thank you.
And it means a lot.
It actually means equally as much that you accepted, but not only accepted you enthusiastically.
accepted, which was...
Oh, I am stowed.
Yeah, so the funny part is, is, you know, if me and Jenna die, which let's hope that
doesn't happen anytime soon, I'm going to have to look down on my kids and they're going
to be being raised by Jenna's family, except for the youngest.
And I actually, in a way, would love to see how that experiment came out.
Because I guarantee you, if I came back from the dead, that one would probably be
wearing a jersey of some sort.
Totally.
That probably a Michigan State jersey to piss me off.
That's like how you'd get back at me in my grave.
He's like an all-American tight end from Michigan State.
Yeah, I'm going to be dead and Pierre's going to,
the kid's going to get a scholarship anywhere and he's going to go to Michigan State
because that's where his godfather told me it was the best place to go.
But yeah, he's going to have gold chains,
probably some really weird of his favorite TV show Insignia.
And he's going to have slick back here.
But you know what?
He'll golf once a week.
Oh, yeah, he'll definitely golf once a week.
And I'm not going to, how about this?
I'm literally not going to let him golf with me for like years.
because I'm like, you cannot take any of this.
Like, you play marketably worse when we play together.
Me?
You.
Anyone that plays with me plays worse because you play down to my level.
Like, unofficially.
Like, in unintentionally.
I mean, unless we're playing together on a team.
But my point is, is that don't pick up bad habits.
We're going to get him a great coach.
He's going to be on tour by the time he's 15 or 16.
The PGA tour.
And I will be happy from the grave.
But anyways, guys, enjoy.
That might be a tier two exclusive.
Enjoy the podcast.
Enjoy Tier two.
Can we announce that now?
Yeah.
Tier two is the Pitbull, the Polish Pitbull himself.
That's right.
Derek Kaczynski.
That's right.
That's right.
We're excited to drop that.
It was good we had it.
Doesn't he remind you a little bit more of, like,
it was so funny when we were interviewing him,
and I'm just going to say it.
In my head, I'm like, gosh,
If I, if this was, like this is probably, this is, I feel like I'm talking to Joe Pesci.
Yeah.
Pierre literally says it on the podcast.
He's like, bro, you were just like Joe Pesci.
Not sure Derek received that as a compliment.
He didn't seem like it was like kind of bounced off him a little bit.
It did kind of bounce off him, which to me it totally was a compliment, which is you seem
small in stature, powerful and impact.
And also maybe a little bit irritable at times.
But that's what, where the fire fucking comes from.
That's what makes him the dog that he is.
So I really loved chatting with him, and I hope you guys enjoy it too.
But that is our tier two exclusive this week.
Yeah.
So grab that and hump it into submission.
Enjoy it, dude.
Enjoy it.
That crossover you guys have been finally waiting for is here.
Yeah, a couple more announcements.
Number one, get your tickets to San Diego.
We're going to be announcing at least two, if not three more people within the next week.
So get your tickets, San Diego.
They are going to be from 42.
We're going to be a party.
We're going to have a lot to talk about.
And if you haven't already bought your tickets,
don't even wait for the new additions.
Because any time,
I'm just going to be honest with you.
If you watched our podcast with Leroy and Johnny,
like I don't think me and P.
are actually stopped laughing for an hour and 45 minutes.
This show is going to be, as the kids would say,
lit.
Oh, it's going to be lit.
Because Johnny and Leroy in the same room is electric.
Is there any better way to describe it?
I mean, that, I'm pretty sure the challenge is built on that.
friendship, one of. So it's a great, it's a great thing to have and, you know, you might get the
X-rated stories. Who knows? Leroy and his trusty sidekick. That's right. Also, really quickly,
we are going to do a 99 to beat coverage podcast called 99 problems. We filmed it with
Cara this morning, which is awesome. It's going to be for free on YouTube and we'll put it on Patreon
for free also, but go on YouTube and watch it. So there you go. Yeah, you guys, you should really,
we should really, really focus on 99 to beat your ass because our very own
Big Fettuccini is on season two.
Monty,
he's the star.
He actually wins.
I am the star.
Yeah.
And I do have a chance to win.
But yeah.
1% chance at a million,
which is more than a lot of people I've ever had.
It's true.
Because sitting right here,
I have a 0% chance at a million dollars.
Bro, how am I on a show before you?
How does that even make sense?
The odds of like when we started ZMP in,
August, 2023.
Shout out to three years, by the way.
We didn't have a chance to celebrate that.
Three years of the pod.
Round of applause for three fucking years.
I fucking love you guys.
180, what, how many episodes?
A lot of shit.
Great times.
But who, the odds of me getting a show before you is wild shit.
Wild shit.
I think you're bragging right now.
No, no, no.
And I could, no, no, no, no.
But I could totally shut this down in a second.
Do you want me to?
What?
What are you saying?
Like, I'm so proud of you, first of all.
Oh, man.
Like, my dad always said, like, when I got on a TV show, he was like, I'm proud of you because you did that.
You put yourself out there.
You impressed enough people to get there.
There's a lot of people that would sit there and wonder, could I get it?
Could I get it and never try?
You tried, you did it?
And not only did you do it, you put yourself in a very uncomfortable situation and hopefully you thrived.
I'm sure you did because you're a creep.
But proud of you.
Fucking awesome.
However, I was offered a spot on 99 to be.
with here.
They offered me a spot.
I reluctantly turned it down.
I had some other things going on at the time,
but that's not why I didn't go.
The reason why I didn't go is because
they don't pay Jack shit to show up.
So I was like, yeah, no, I'm going to have to sit that one out.
Not only that, I wanted more so,
this was your thing.
You did this.
You needed to be in the spotlight for this.
I can go on 99 to beat season three, four,
or five, if I really wanted to,
we all know I can sue in an interview.
That wasn't the point. The point was
A, I actually had another job
that I couldn't lose, which is my
day job. Which I don't.
I'm unemployed.
He's independently wealthy.
And B, it just
didn't feel
like it felt like I'd have been
forcing it. Because you had
already gotten along in the interview process
and I'm not a swagger jacker.
and I wanted you to do this and experience it.
Me being there,
I feel like that would have been like annoying of me.
And I know you don't see it that way, but I did, but I wanted,
I more so was like, you know what, like,
I also didn't really have a passport at the time and that didn't help.
But I mean, I got that like three days later.
But my point is, is this was your thing.
Thank you, man.
And me being there, if me being there helped one of us win, yes,
but like I'd have been the first guy bounced.
No, no.
Oh, for sure.
I don't know a lot.
I don't know how long or how it would have been.
I know it would have been a lot of fun to have you there.
We would have had crazy, crazy stories.
But I do appreciate everything you said.
But let's just be real.
Like you were on a cast of seven, then, you know, 18, not 100.
I think you probably had to do five shows before you worked with 100 different people.
It's just a different show.
But this show is intense.
You guys have not watched 9-9 and I'm reviewing season one right now.
And it's crazy.
It's basically it's just like every challenge is a purge, which I'm actually really good at purges, but I don't love them.
So for the sake of my mental health, I'm better off as a fan of 99 to be.
Yeah, and you are a fan and a co-host, and we did ask Kara, our friend, my inspiration to go on the show, and she is joining us.
So our first episode is kind of covering in her journey in generalities, and then we will kind of interview some of season one people before season two airs, and then we'll cover season two while it's airing, and it'll be a lot of fun.
So lock in for that.
We love you guys.
Appreciate it.
Okay.
Fuck all that bullshit.
Let's get back to the challenge.
Episode six.
And as soon as we're back in the house,
Nellie acts like he's taking this dub and moving on,
but also is using this elimination win as leverage to try for a mutiny and Carr is completely on board.
Thoughts on this plan and how it played out.
Well, A, it played out worse than any plan I've ever seen in my life.
This is the thing that it's like, we don't see it all,
but like, first of all, remind me to come back to Cara's reaction.
Got it.
For Nelson, he's like, all Josh needs is, like, this is why I don't like the mutiny rule.
Because if all you need is one person to say no, that, guess what, Michelle is never going to say no to Tori being taken out of captain ship.
And Lettie is not going to say no to Josh.
Because like, it's like, if Lettie's like, yeah, let's mutiny and put some.
someone else in he's protecting you now the guy that's protecting you is like what the fuck so now
he's got no alliance to you and they got to know that nelson's going to protect kara and so now
them saying they want a girl to do it you really think josh is going to be like you know what nellie
that sounds good i'll go into every other elimination round for you no like Josh needs just to be like
listen it is what it is you lost the vote get everyone on your side like that's what i would have
said i wouldn't have even been like oh i love hearing this i'll emphasize with you
you. I'll do this. No, I'd have been like, bro, I'm protecting her. She's got my back. I have her back.
You're not going to change anything. So these little kumbayas aren't going to work. They're not.
It's not going to work. Like, Nelson, stop. If the, like, you got to go about it a different way.
And there's, like, and I also think, I don't know this for sure, but my mind I'm watching
this is I'm like, Josh being the captain and Letty backing him so hard because Anna Lee's
like, like, kind of like on the rocks about it too, because she's like, well, wait, I'm not
his number one.
So, like,
we,
you know,
this has,
like, bananas all over.
I mean,
I smell bananas all over this.
Bananas wants Josh in power.
Bananas is
hooking up with Lettie.
And he's telling her,
like,
and no way,
shape, or form,
do you give Nelson any power?
Keep it in Josh's hands.
And so I just wish
that concludes
the free preview
of the Zach Nichols podcast.
So go to Patreon
and subscribe to see the rest
of the shit that we talk.
Go do it.
Now.
Thank you.
