Hey, this is Danielle, the messy trader herself, legendary Big Brother player.
Tune in because I'm spilling a lot of tea today.
A lot.
Piping hot.
Piping hot.
All right.
Welcome back to Zach Nichols podcast.
Super Saturday edition.
We're here with reality TV legend.
Pioneer.
Pioneer.
Danielle Reyes.
Reality TV goat, one of the greatest of her time, undoubtedly.
So happy to have you here.
Glad to be here.
You transcend
Decends decades on reality TV
Like I mean
Not very often
We had Mark Long
And I know you probably know of him
Oh cool
The Godfather
Yeah season one
But you're season three of Big Brother
Yes
So where are we gonna start
Do we want to start with that bitch
Alan Cummings?
Oh shit
I love me some Alex
No me too I do too
He was out of turn
He was out of hand with that one
With the saying I was the worst traitor
Yes
Yeah it's so funny when I watched it
I'm like first of all
he didn't even know my name.
Yeah.
This is my word.
I was like, rude, Alan.
And then so when I watched it, he was like that.
And then Andy's like, Danielle.
I'm like, no.
I think what people need to understand, I am not the worst trader.
Not even close.
I think.
It's Dan Geasling by far.
All right.
Just kidding.
We love Dan.
Dan, I think it's people need to say, I am the most hated trader.
I think people need to change that because I wasn't the worst trader.
No.
I was the most hated trader.
traitor because I lasted all I outlasted all the other trader you you you were scrambling for weeks
which that's tough and you know what I think because serifields was the first trader that we watched
right and she's a psychopath and I don't say that in a mean way I say that in the most respectful way
because if you've done reality TV and what we're seeing right now is like I think rob is a great
traitor but you can see how and I don't think pierre understands this but when you have to play
a game where you have to lie and you have to maintain that for weeks on end, it wears on you.
It does.
And Rob is cracking.
And why I say Surrey feels as a psychopath is because she never cracked.
No.
She never cracked.
No.
And she never really had to scramble.
But you had to, you were like.
I was playing traitors and faithful.
Yeah.
You were in the paint for weeks.
I was in the paint.
You know, when we first started, first and foremost, when we got in a turret, it was
Bob the Dry Queen, Carolyn and myself, right?
And we were on Big Happy Family, and then of course, Boss and Rob comes in.
And in the beginning, we were like, we're going to watch each other back, you know?
So if someone said our names, we're going to immediately tell them, right?
And people forget this and they don't understand.
Nikki, people remember Nikki Garcia?
When we put her in a coffin, the reason why we put her in a coffin, she said Carolyn's name.
Right.
I ran and told Carolyn immediately.
And then that scene where you know, Jeremy was clocking me.
Yeah.
He told Carolyn, Carolyn didn't come tell me.
And so if you watch that scene, I always tell people, watch that scene,
Bob the drag queen's telling me, Jeremy said your name.
And then Carolyn comes in.
And I said, did Jeremy say my name?
She goes, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, he said your name.
And I'm like, well, when did he say my name and why am I just not hearing it now?
Right.
So right there, I'm kind of not feeling comfortable about Carolyn.
That was like one thing.
Boom.
And then if you watch the Bob the drag queen and Boston Rob going at it, right?
Before that all happened, you see the scene where Boston Rob brings Carolyn and I to say, hey, people are saying Bob the drag queen.
I'm like, oh, no, no, we're good.
We're going to go after Sierra.
And then we got Nikki.
We're all good.
We're all good.
Right?
But if you watch it, I leave.
He and Carolyn stays and continue the conversation.
And it was a blindside when we went to that roundtable for me.
Right.
I was not expecting that.
So now I'm sitting there clocking Bob, Boston Rob,
just took out my ride and die Bob the Drag Queen.
And there's two survivor players and it's just me left.
Big brother, right?
And as you can see, I'm small and stature.
So I got these two big, you know, Carolyn's tall.
So I got these two survivor players and I went,
well, the fables are slurping on Boston Robb.
So I can't really go after him directly.
And to me, it's like chess.
I was like, I need a week in him.
So I went after Carolyn because I felt like Carolyn did not have my back.
Right.
It was based on those two incidents, I was little leery of her, right?
And my goal was to weaken Boston Robb.
And I figured if I got Carolyn banished, no matter who they brought in as a traitor,
because he already established that he cannot ride and die with the traitor crew,
that they would align with me immediately.
So it didn't matter who, I didn't care who was going to come in and tear it.
As long as I got rid of her to weaken him,
so I can bring somebody else to go after him.
That was my point.
Right.
So people are like, why would you go after Carolyn?
And after DeBobb the Drag Queen banishment, there's a scene where I'm trying to go to Carolyn
seeing like, because I'm scared.
To be honest, I'm scared because I don't know what's going on.
So I was like, so, you know, that banishment last night, she goes, oh, yeah.
She didn't give me nothing.
And if she would have said, we got to go after Boston Rob, boom.
That's all she had to say to me.
But Carolyn, the one thing about Carolyn, and it took me a while to realize how she plays the game,
she's so honest and true that when she does not want to lie, she makes the goofy face.
Yeah.
She makes the goofy face.
And I'm telling, I clocked it.
It's like a-ha moment.
So you say, you know, I'm being delicate because I don't know she's aligned with Boston Rob.
So I have to make sure where I'm saying to her, I'll be delicate.
Because if I say, we got to go after Boston Rob, Rob, she tells Boston Rob, Rob, I'm dead woman.
walking, right? So I'm like, so yeah, that banishment. She's like, oh, yeah. And she started
making the faces. And I'm like, so you think she's, yeah, girl. Well, he said he's going to work
with me. Now, you just told me he said he's going to work with you. He didn't have that
conversation with me. Right. So now I'm really thinking they're really together. So I'm concerned.
I am concerned. So people always say, why did you go off the Carolyn? That's why I did it.
Because my back was against the wall.
Yeah.
Well, I've seen four seasons in.
When you're a trader, it's usually like everyone always comes in and works together.
But the traders that do better are the first ones to kind of flip.
But not aggressively like Boston Rob did.
Like he made a scene of I'm going to get Bob the Dragon.
But what he should have done is he should have been more subtle about it, in my opinion.
But what we've seen with Rob C this season or Rob R this season is he did it.
And when he's a traitor, he's like, yes, I'm working with you, but I'm not sacrificing my game to work with you.
Yeah.
And that's what I think has kept him.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Because if you go against what the people you're closest with in the house do, red flag right away.
You're exposed.
So that's what I'm kind of learning is as a trader, you kind of have to turn on them when the time comes.
Or you just got to let it go.
Or you, yeah.
You just got to let it go.
And I think Carolyn in her mind, because she's like, you know, Danielle was my person.
I was never your person.
Because your person, you say everything too.
Right.
Right.
It's like at any game you're playing in a reality show, if someone's going against your person, you're like, yo, let me, hey, you got to watch this person.
She never came and told me that.
Yeah.
And so with that, I didn't trust her.
Right.
So I, Carolyn can always say, oh, but Danielle turned on me, but she was more.
No, girl, I was never your person.
You were going to let me be banished, which I'm okay with that because that's game played, right?
But at least own it.
Exactly.
Just freaking on it.
Yeah.
Right.
Don't sit there.
I was, she was my girl.
I was never your girl.
It's almost like gaining sympathy of people afterwards.
Right.
Which pisses other reality people off.
Now, what I've learned through my reunions and my 10 seasons is when I make a shady move, the first thing I do is like, yeah.
That was shady.
My bad.
I lied right to your face.
And they actually, then it ends all the conversation.
Right.
Because you own the shadiness and everyone's like, yeah, I guess it was a game move.
But when you go out afterwards and you try to be like, I don't know why.
why that would have happened.
I hate that.
Yeah, just own it.
You know, and I, if she would have said, yeah, you know, I just wanted you banish,
I would like, game.
Right.
Respect.
Yep.
Wouldn't been happy, but I'm like, I get it.
But at this day, she's holding on to the fact that, you know.
I don't, I don't know if she's still, I think she is.
Yeah.
Basically, she's like, oh, that's my story.
I'm sticking to it.
But in your opinion, you're playing this team trader game.
Right.
Someone's throwing the first stone here.
And by essentially not giving you this information, she's not,
can I help you. And that's the way you perceived it at the time.
Right, right. And then people give Boston Rob all this.
Oh, he's this great person. But when I do it, it's like...
