Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, everybody, on February 28th, myself, Pierre, Michael, are going to be doing a mashup with Champ Camp. ZMP combined with Champ Camp, Gilbert, Arizona, February 28th. If you're not there, fuck you. Hi, my name is Victor. I'm from Big Brother, the Challenge, Amazing Race. Here to give you a little inside look at my life, reality TV, and what we're up to now. All right. Welcome back to the Zach Nichols podcast.
Starting point is 00:00:23 I'm here with the podcast, Fatty. We'll explain that in a second. There's some back story. I like the round of applause. That was awesome. More importantly, Big Brother and Challenge Star, Victor O'Royle. Anything more important than that. He is a father, a policeman, well, a husband, policeman, and a farmer now.
Starting point is 00:00:48 A farmer. You are everything that's right with America. Can we get another round of a partner? You are America, right here, baby. Back to blue. Dude, listen, I give you a lot of credit for, a father-husband thing, that's the hardest thing in the world, but a cop. And then all of a sudden, just on your free time now, you're running a farm.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Dude, I, people, that's the question that I get asked. Did you ever imagine your life as a cop and a farmer? No. In Ubley, Michigan. In Ubley, Michigan. Which is, by the way, those of you that I don't know Ubley, it is a wonderful spot up in the thumb of Michigan. And if you don't know, Michigan looks like a mitt.
Starting point is 00:01:25 It's up here somewhere. I love it there. Been there a few times. Yeah, it's nice. You know, we're in the sticks. It is the country, but we got a nice 10-acre property. You know, we got our house on the hill with the farm. I mean, it's really the American dream.
Starting point is 00:01:39 Bro, that's what they write country songs about. For real, like, like, for real, for real, like, can we just have another round of applause? Because he made it a little trek to come out here. Not easy. The guy has a family. The guy has a very serious, important job. If you would have been in that group chat, I told him, I said, you're a real-life hero, dude. Listen, wife is pregnant with twins.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Congratulations. Yeah. Yeah, she's due. I mean, the C-sections plan for maybe like a less than two weeks from now. So any time between now and then. Yeah. So will this be three and four? Two and three.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Oh, two and three. Okay, okay. I'm trying to find people that match his, but you're right there. Dude, you're going for the, you're like, your Tom Brady. You're collecting rings out here, just like you. Yeah, I got four right now. Dude, I look at your life and you have a wife that's, they on social media. She does a social media thing, and then you have your own thing.
Starting point is 00:02:27 and I feel like we mirror that in a different way. Yeah. And I feel like you probably have the same pain points of doing shit with your wife on social media or ads and being like, don't feel like doing that. Yeah. Where are we putting these boxes? How many more boxes? Dude, when I tell you, our trash comes on Thursday, by Saturday, we have two big trash cans.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Both of them are filled up. And most of it's boxes that come in the mail. It's terrible. I bought a dumpster. So, like we. Real Mr. Gander over here. The trash cans, yeah, there was no way. There's nowhere to put the stuff.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Like, you know, I try to burn as much boxes as I can, like the good stuff to burn. But everything else, dude, I tell Nicole all the time, why the hell? She's more. And not on top of the ads. It's like the Amazon stuff, too. And then with the baby stuff, I'm like, hold on. Do you say burn it? Are you a bonfire guy?
Starting point is 00:03:20 Yes. Dude, dude. You need to hang out, bro. We need to hang out. This is awesome. We didn't even mention the lion. gear, dude. I know you're a Lions fan. That's why I came correct. I respect
Starting point is 00:03:31 the gear. Yeah, I was, you know what? I'm hot. It's hot in here. But I get some sweat through here, so don't mind me. Dude, I mean, if it's anything like your first season of Big Brother, the ladies want you to take that shirt off, dude. I did some research, and you wore this
Starting point is 00:03:47 stud muffin of this season. Do you know how jealous I was when I rolled up on Vendettas with a hedgehog haircut, and he had a full flow? I was like, okay, they're trying to replace me. with the hair. Dude, we're all three former long hair guys. I miss it.
Starting point is 00:04:03 You do, right? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm actually starting to grow mine back out. Not that long, though. Mine was about as long as yours at its longest. But, yeah, not going that long, but I've been bald for, what, like three years now? I shaved it once a week with no guard.
Starting point is 00:04:19 And now I'm, Jenna's like, no, you got to grow it out a little bit. But you know how awkward it gets when you go bald to get? I was going to say there's that awkward phase where you have to. to wear hats for a while because you can't really style it right. And you're waiting for it to drop. Firmly in it. My awkward style last two years, pretty much. It's going to be a long two years.
Starting point is 00:04:37 I feel like the older that we've gotten, the harder it is to get through it. But it's awesome. Well, anyways, real quick, one more round of applause. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you. Making the effort to come out here. And we're going to talk about all things in terms of your reality TV career, where you're at with life.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I mean, let's start right at the beginning. How old were you when you first, you know, I sent a tape for Big Brother? So I actually when I graduated or I was about to graduate college Let's say that was 2019 Finance he knows about money guys finance yeah fine you saw that oh I did a little bit of research So when I graduated or I was graduating I applied for Big Brother 16 and I made it through the whole process They flew me out to L.A. I don't know if people probably have heard that before but there's steps to it and that's the final step That's the final step that you get flown out to L.A. You're like whole shit. It's actually real. Yes and then as I'm
Starting point is 00:05:25 going through the process, I didn't make it through, right? And that was 26, 2019, let's say. My dates are terrible. And I didn't think about it because I didn't watch Big Brother. The only reason I did it is because at the time to make extra money in college, I did background, stand in, photo double, because there was a big film industry in Louisiana. And so in that circle of people, they're like, hey, you should apply for Big Brother. So that happened. That didn't work out. I went to L.A. I was working over there in finance. I didn't like it. It wasn't, me. The theory was a lot more fun in college than the practical in-person stuff. It wasn't for me. I came back to Louisiana. A year later, they were casting again. And it was an open casting
Starting point is 00:06:06 call. I had worked that day. I was working at a gym and I wasn't going to go, actually. And I talked to a buddy of mine that was working. I was like, man, I'm thinking about going to this open audition. I don't know. He's like, go. I'll cover for you, man. Don't know. Don't worry about it. And I was like, I bet. And I went. And I waited in line with everybody else. I got in. even though you had gotten to the final stage before. I didn't say anything until I got into the room. And when they were doing like, it's like a speed date. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:32 So there's like four people. Hey, tell me why you would. And so when they asked me, I was like, well, I made it to finals a year ago. Yeah. And so now I'm here. And they, oh, and they got interested. And then I looked completely different.
Starting point is 00:06:43 When I was about to graduate college, I was string bean, short hair, not really much going on, just a normal guy. When I came back to second time, I had a little flow. I had gained some muscle. I'd been working at the gym. Spring bean to beef cake, my heart. man you were, bro, I was watching this back. I'm like, whoa, he's jacked.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Yeah, that's once upon a time, man. Jacked. I mean, I saw a little bit of the weight confirmation, getting fit, journey, but bro, you, you make everything, you know what I'm saying? Like, you're a son out here, bro. For real, I was like, for me, obviously not being in the new seasons. And I'm like, first of all, you look back on that season that you were on, five people get casted. What made that cast so castable for the challenge? I mean five people that made it onto the show.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Yeah, you know, and I don't know. I honestly have no idea. I was surprised when they called. One of them flew all the way there. He made the whole trip. And right before we walked on set, they're like, you know what? Never mind. Actually, there's a story behind that.
Starting point is 00:07:43 What had happened was, you know, we went to New York. Everybody flew into New York. Okay. I was with, and I was a maybe. I was the maybe. They were in. I was the maybe. That's right.
Starting point is 00:07:54 You said that. We were in the lobby of the hotel. It was one of the, I don't know if it was like a casting person and maybe like one of their assistants or something like that. The assistant had an allergic reaction. She ate something and she was going into like shock, right? Oh my gosh. You're right. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:10 So she, so I talked her and coached her through it. We got her some medicine. I went to the, I hopped in the ambulance with her. We went to the hospital. That whole ordeal that casting person was watching and was there. and she was freaking out. She, you know, and that's what changed her mind, I think.
