Starting point is 00:00:00 I wish I could make a video on how to be perfect. I wish I could make a video telling you the A through Zs of how you can wake up on time every single day, how you can be on top of everything, be super productive, but I cannot. Because I am human. And the bane of the human existence is that you are going to make mistakes, not a matter of if, a matter of when. My mistake? I went to bed late, 1.30, which has been. my muse as of recent.
Starting point is 00:00:32 I love going to bed at 1.30 because, you know, I hit midnight and I know I should go to sleep. I know I should put the phone away. But that scroll, though! Dude, have you ever hit like a late night scroll? It is so good.
Starting point is 00:00:49 It's so good. It is so brainnumbing. It is so addicting and beautiful. And I forget everything that I watch. It's awesome. But when you wake up the next day and you realize that your entire day is screwed, it really makes you question
Starting point is 00:01:09 why you are on this planet, why you can't get anything right. But I've learned something that I want to pass down to you. I've learned something about the relationship with myself. And I think that once you figure out a way to master this, especially now where maybe you're feeling really bad, and you're feeling really, really defeated by yourself, which is like the worst.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Aren't you supposed to be your best friend, your own best friend? I want you to accept it as is. I want you to accept it as is. And by it, I mean the late time that you woke up. The fact that it is 11 a.m. on a Monday. the fact that it is, you know, noon on a Tuesday. I don't know. The fact that it happened.
Starting point is 00:02:16 It happened. You woke up late. It happened. You wanted to have a productive start. You wanted to be out of the house by 10 a.m. And it's 2 p.m. You have an option. And one of those options is to continue to
Starting point is 00:02:36 I just got to roam around, yeah? Yeah, yeah, I'm just recording something. Is that a license? A light? What is why? What's on? You're watching YouTube or something? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Watch this. This is about to be awesome. Dude's got four dogs. What? Okay. Back to what I was saying. Accepting it as is, man. It's going...
Starting point is 00:03:07 Dude, you are not going to be perfect. You won't. I promise you, if there's one thing in this life, You got to understand. It's that you have to deal with your mind, your body, as if they are different entities of yourself. And even though your will might want you to be productive and your soul is telling you, I got to lock in, sometimes you won't be able to. You won't.
Starting point is 00:03:35 And it's okay. It's fine. I have learned that when I accept my situation as is, whether that is me waking up late, whether that is, you know, a potential business partner putting me, you know, giving me a cold shoulder, whether that is like a crush not responding to a message, you know, like you have to accept it as is, you got to accept your situation for what it is. And sometimes that is a very sobering thought and a sobering realization
Starting point is 00:04:12 because maybe you realize, dang, I'm not doing good. And maybe you realize that, you know, your pursuit of whatever you're trying to go after, it needs to take a break because you've got to sort yourself out. I think a lot of people are quick to diminish how they feel or they're quick to, you know, look at themselves as if they're a robot. I should be able to do this.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Like, you cannot. You can't. You can't. Rosen lasagna, medium power, 15 minutes. Sounds like Ojo time. Let's play. Feel the fun with Play-O-Jo. The online casino with all the latest slot and live casino games.

Amazon presents Jeff versus Taco Truck Salsa, whether it's Verde, Roja, or the orange one. For Jeff, trying any salsa is like playing Russian roulette with a flame-fellette. Luckily, Jeff saved with Amazon and stocked up on antacids, ginger tea, and milk.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Habaniero? More like habanier, yes. Save the everyday with Amazon. Welcome aboard Via Rail. Please sit and enjoy. Please sit and stretch. Steep. Flip. Or that. And enjoy. Via Rail, love the way. And sometimes you'll have situations where, you know, you just got to do something for yourself. You got to put like a half rep in for yourself. And that's what I'm doing right now today. You know, I'm low energy. It's muggy out.
Starting point is 00:06:26 I can find every reason to complain. But you know what? I accept it as it is. I'm like, all right, well, yeah, all of that is true. But I love the Zirky Show, fam. I want to do the Zerky Show. I love it. So I'm going to do it. Even if it's, you know, rough in the moment, it's fine. It's okay. But it's going to take me double the time. That's fine. I'm going to be patient with myself.
Starting point is 00:06:52 You know, if it takes me four hours to do it instead of one hour, that's fine. At least I'm going to do it. You know, oftentimes we make a lot of plans for our own life and we set deadlines with ourselves and we say, oh, we want to do this in this amount of time. want to make this much money we want to we want to have be settled by this but like there are so many things in our life that are so unpredictable I had no idea I was going to feel like this yesterday yesterday I was like oh I'm going to be locked in but I woke up today and I'm like oh oh hell no huh huh like super drawn out super tired super lazy oh my gosh you know how incredible incredible the the human experiences that we can just like lay in bed. Isn't that awesome?
Starting point is 00:07:50 And now we have a laptop that can play any piece of media ever made? It took a lot for me to come out here. Let's just say that. But accepting your situation as is is really the first step to being able to do something about that situation. For me, the first thing I had to accept is like, all right, I didn't wake up on time. that is okay. And my second train of thought was, all right, you know, it's like 930. Let me at least get out of the house. Let me at least go for a walk. And I went up for that walk. And I was like, okay, this is good. Let me call my grandparents. I haven't talked to my grandparents in a long time.
Starting point is 00:08:34 I said I was going to do that. It's not something that's like the top of the priority list, but I can do it. I'm on this walk. Why not? So I, hello, jean dober. You know, it's my grandparents because they speak Polish. and it was so awesome. I caught up with them for like, you know, an hour while I was walking. It was beautiful. It was great. Went home, started cooking.
Starting point is 00:08:57 I made some Japanese curry. By the way, I was put on by my roommate, Dylan, these Japanese curry cubes. You can buy them at your local supermarket, but essentially what you do is you cook, you know, meat and stuff. You cook like carrots, onions, potatoes. You boil them a little bit. this is sounding crazy like, I don't want to do this. Bro, it takes 20 minutes, 20 minutes. And trust me, it is so good.
Starting point is 00:09:21 And then you put in the Japanese curry paste, you know, cubes. And, bro, you have a restaurant-level dish. So for those of you out there who eat chicken thighs and rice every single day, air-fried chicken thighs and rice, like me, bro, switch it up. It literally, it's like a, you know, $5 investment. And I promise you it is so worth it. But anyways, I told myself like, all right, let me at least make myself some good food, made myself some good food. And then it was like 1.30.
Starting point is 00:09:54 And I'm like, all right, it's time to do something. Let's at least do something for a little bit. Let's just try. And now I'm out here. We outside. Famously, we outside. And, you know, I had a choice. As soon as my eyes opened, I could have laid in my eyes.
Starting point is 00:10:14 bed and looked at the clock and been like, oh my goodness, I'm just like a failure and relished in all of my negativity and self-hatred. Or I could have been like, all right, like, sucks, but I mean, I woke up at nine. That's life. RBC Training Ground has discovered potential in over 20,000 Canadian athletes and counting. It's never too early to plan your summer story in Europe with WestJet, from rolling countryside to cobblestone streets. Begin your next chapter. Book your seat at westjet.com
Starting point is 00:11:00 or call your travel agent, WestJet, where your story takes off. That's life. I can work on maybe tonight going to sleep earlier. I can work on maybe tonight taking care of myself a little bit. So I'm not as stressed. So I'm not using, you know, my night scroll as like a cope, you know, for stress. I can do that. That's within my control. But the fact that I woke up super late, it happened. I can't like, you know, travel back in time and wake up at six.
Starting point is 00:11:29 It's not done. It's over. It's the same thing with, you know, when you're in a relationship and your significant other breaks up with you, it's done. It's over. You can relish in it. And it's good to have emotions of like I'm long. for this person, I'm yearning for this person, but like, at the end of the day, the first step towards doing something in your life and changing something is accepting where you're at.
Starting point is 00:11:57 It really is. Because it is so easy to just lie to yourself and be like, oh, well, you know, yeah, I'm working on it. Like, no, you're not. You're not working on it. You know? Yeah, well, I'm trying. But are you really?
Starting point is 00:12:16 Are you really? Because I don't know if you are. And the solace you get in accepting that you are not where you want to be is like the best. It is the best thing. Because oftentimes when we do that, it's like we alleviate all of the standard that we've tried to hold ourselves to. We alleviate and get rid of all of the pre assumptions and all of the mistakes that we made because we just we accept it as it. is and we meet ourselves where we're at. You know? We're like, okay, I'm not doing very good, cool. I don't need to have a super productive day today. What can I do today? What can I just do for myself? You know what?
Starting point is 00:13:06 I can at least clean up my living room. Let's do that. I'm going to throw on some vapor wave. I'm going to throw on some, you know, chill lofi beats to study too. I'm just going to clean my living room. And then after I clean my living room, I'm feeling a little bit better. You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to call my friend.
Starting point is 00:13:21 I'm going to see what's up with them, catch up with them for a little bit. I don't feel too bad. Okay, now it's like 5 p.m. Yeah, I'm not feeling too bad. You know what? I'm going to go to the gym. I'm not going to go work out. I'm just going to go walk on the treadmill.
Starting point is 00:13:33 I'm just going to hang out for a little bit. I'm going to watch my favorite show. Hey, you just had a really good day. You just had an incredible day. you powered through it because you accepted the situation as is and you were like okay yeah all those things I had planned
Starting point is 00:13:55 not happening but you know what is happening something else something else I can do and I think and I think this is the same for any kind of pursuit of anything a lot of us will be humbled very quickly when we step into our adult lives of you know our finance
Starting point is 00:14:17 Oh, dude. If you're in college, bro, enjoy it because life is expensive. It's expensive. And not like, oh, Rangerover. Oh, Bugatti. No. Like eggs at the grocery store are expensive. They're not cheap.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Get ready. I'm kidding. You guys are going to be fine. We're going to be fine. Hopefully. No, we will. But accepting it as is is the base. man because this is how you actually form a working relationship with yourself this is how you form a
Starting point is 00:14:53 good coexistence with the cynical part of you the negative part of you because there is that part in all of us i mean it's just it's how we are right like there is a part of us that will fight us on every decision that will make us feel like we're not good enough oh my goodness hi you oh okay again bro Like, you know, the dogs were just attacking each other, but I'm accepting it as is, all right? It's a great part of this video. There's another one. Again, I'm accepting all of that as is, you know? It's a part of the video now, you know?
Starting point is 00:15:34 But yeah, it's the cynical part of us that wants us to relish in this feeling of like, oh, no, I can't do it all. like, oh man, my standards were so high and I can't, I can't even get to 1% of it, so I'm just going to give up. But it's not how you make progress. It's not how you look out for yourself. I've found that when I'm forgiving of myself and when I meet myself like where I'm at, I'm able to get so much done. I'm able to just focus on the next step. I'm not preoccupied and, you know, drowning myself and my sorrow of, oh, why didn't I do a cold shower today? It's fine. It's cool, dude. I find that when I meet myself where I'm at, it honestly helps me still do the things that I want to get done. Prime example, right? Sometimes I wake up and I do not want to leave my bed. I love how comfortable I am in my bed. I'm sore, whatever, my excuses, or my valid excuses, right?
Starting point is 00:16:39 Like, I'll just bring my laptop to my bed. I'll work for my bed. Cool. I can stay in my bed. That's fine. But if I want to still get my work done, Just bring my laptop to my bed. And hey, usually I'll work for like an hour and then I get tired and I'm like, all right, it's time to get up, you know. It's about finding that balance of like what your mind needs, which oftentimes is rest, what your body needs, which also is oftentimes rest. And granting that permission. And sometimes that will not happen in the most opportune times. Like, so, you know, for a lot of us, we can't schedule that. We can't.
Starting point is 00:17:21 We just got to, we got to listen to our body and understand when it's time to take a break. Rewa! We have to listen to our body and understand when we have to take a break. Because it is so easy to just keep grinding the gears and overworking yourself until you just, you can't. And then you're just going to, you know, give it up. So finding that kind of balance and that, ability to rest is so important. And just finding like what you like.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Not what you think you like, but what do you actually like using that? Maybe your motivation to get your work done is buying a latte at your favorite coffee place. Maybe that's what's going to get you out of the house. Maybe your favorite motivation is being able to take, you know, a be real in a beautiful place. And that's what gets you to go for a walk in the morning. You know, find it. Find it because the more you buy into unrealistic standards that don't work with how you naturally live life, the harder it's going to be.
Starting point is 00:18:31 And I'm not saying that, you know, it's impossible to change and you should just accept that your bad habits are your bad habits. I'm saying like, notice what is causing the bad habits. Notice what is causing you to live life in this way and see if you can work with it or if it is something that you just have to figure out a different process for, a different kind of thing for. You know, I have certain habits that are bad. You know, I don't sleep with my phone in my room because I'll be tempted to go on there and look at things I shouldn't be looking at at 3 a.m. You know, doom scrolling. So I keep my phone out of there, you know. I could be like,
Starting point is 00:19:16 oh no I'm going to keep my phone there and I have to have the mental toughness to not touch it and that'll probably work for a day and then I'll feel stressed and be like oh oh algorithm feeding me videos don't mind if I do and I'll you know reach in do it a little bit of this and then it's 5 a.m and I'm like that's me in the morning so accept it as is man accepted as is your crush isn't texting you back But I know he's at the phone. Yeah, he doesn't want to talk to you. I don't know what to tell you. You know, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:19:57 Use that time for yourself. Like, go and do something you want to do. They don't want to talk to you. That's fine. You have a life. You have, like, things to do. And if you don't have things to do, that is your job. Go find things to do.
Starting point is 00:20:11 In the end, you can chase the optimal morning routine. You can chase the best day of maximum product. productivity or the more realistic thing to do, you can just accept it as is. You can look at yourself as a human being that makes mistakes and be like, you know what? All right. I didn't wake up on time, but I'm still going to make the things I want to do happen today. Zerky Show. We did it. We totally did it. Was it pretty? No. Was it beautiful? No. But it's still nice. in its own vein and look there's a little schlaug come on now did you know the zirky show is everywhere bro i actually did zirky because i'm an o g okay respect but for those of you who don't know

There's so many good things to do in this world. I love you. I believe in you. And also, take a break, man. take a break it's okay you can relax once in a while
Starting point is 00:21:50 nothing's gonna happen actually it'll help you boot yourself back into doing things that you love Zerky Show I am sending you love and peace
