Something that's been normalized in our culture that I think is diabolical is the lack of punctuality, people being late.
And there's a very simple fix for this that I think everyone can tap into.
Be on time.
Well, but traffic, but 15 minutes early.
Leave 15 minutes early.
Early bird gets the worm. Be on time.
But I'm totally projecting.
because I'm never on time.
I am the guy who's always late.
I'm late one minute.
I'm late five minutes.
I'm late 10 minutes.
I'm late an hour.
Hi, I'm the problem.
It's me.
Why should you be on time?
It's a good question.
Because if we've normalized being late and you can pull up whatever you want to,
then what is the incentive to be on time?
It's about respect.
It's about respecting other people's time and your own.
Because I've said it time and time again.
Time is the only thing we don't get back.
You don't get it back, right?
2016, summer 2016 came and went, okay?
Playing dirty, not clean, okay?
It's gone.
2016 was 20 years ago.
Feel old yet?
Yeah, thought so.
When you're on time, you show that you've received.
the plans that were created and the time that was set.
You show that it actually matters to you.
You don't have to spend five to ten minutes explaining why you were late.
People will be like, well, I took the wrong exit and then I didn't know it was here.
No, you did.
You did.
You're lying because I do that.
I lie about that.
I'll be like, well, yeah, I was so hard to get here.
No, it wasn't?
You have Apple Maps and Google Maps.
Two of the best navigational softwares ever.
How is it hard for you to get here?
You're a cap.
You're a capper and it's fine.
It's fine.
Just say I was late, you know.
Or, or you can avoid all of that and just be on time.
How do you tap in to being on time as a question?
You've got to answer for yourself.
I don't know.
For me, like, I have to add probably like 20 minutes to everything.
Even if a drive is 20 minutes, I have to like mentally add 20 more minutes because I'm always like putzing around before I exit the crib.
I'm never like early.
I'm never ready right when I should leave.
I'm always like, oh, I should grab this or like, oh, what if I get cold?
It's better to be sitting in the car listening to Sabrina Carpenter and then turn your car on when it's time to go than to like be running into the room and being like,
like a donkey from Shrek.
Shrek.
And it's a good habit to get into real talk because there are things you can't be late for in life.
What?
Minion Dave.
What?
Rosen lasagna,
medium power,
15 minutes.

Um, yeah, job interviews.
You can't be late for that.
You got to be on time.
You got to be like early.
Hashtag pre-order.
Like a GameStop pre-order.
You got to be early.
Do y'all remember?
in pre-orders at GameStop.
That was like the worst experience ever.
Maybe I'm alone on this,
but I would get the FIFA every year
because I'm a big football fan.
And I was playing up until like FIFA 18.
But I would get the FIFA every year
and they would always try to sell me
every single credit card.
And I was like 11.
And my dad's like,
I want to buy the game for my son.
And they'd be like, well, yes,
you could buy the game,
but there's also,
you could save 1.3%
if you get the game game bucks card.
And then you could,
get the beta early before the pre-release. It's like, what are you talking about? I just want the FIFA
with Messi on the cover. Truly, be on time. Respect yourself. Get there early. Getting there early is
also a great opportunity to scope things out if you're going to a new place. I love getting places
early because you can just walk around and you kind of calm your nerves. I feel like when you're always
rushing somewhere, it's hard to kind of catch your breath.
you're always in the state of like, I don't know what's going on.
You know those commercials where they'll be like, it's like for an exotic location,
they'll be like on a beach and it's like two people sitting on a, you know,
beach chairs and like a little umbrella.
That's what happens when you're early.
You just get to be a D1 chiller because you're early.
You've done the work.
You've already got there.
Now, do you need to be early to everything?
No.
Like if you want to be, you know, late to getting groceries for the week from H.E.
that's that's fine or marianos i don't know where you live but or jewel osco or crogrey i'm going to list
every single grocery store if you want to be late to that that's fine but if something is time sensitive
get on that get on that another thing about being on time it doesn't just mean events it means opportunities
yes it means opportunities it means when you meet somebody and they say we should hang out or we should
coffee, you follow up and you're on time with that and you're like, yeah, we should. Hey, what about this
day? Hey, are you free on Tuesday? Yes, I am free on Tuesday. Perfect. Let's go grab coffee.
There are a lot of things in life that are time sensitive that nobody tells you they are.
Creative things is a prime example if you want to create an awesome video montage of 2024.
2024 season has now come to a close. You can't wait until 2025 till
like February to do it. No, you got to tap in like yesterday because 2024 season is over and it's
coming to an end. So you got to be intentional about that. You have to be on time about that. There are
so many projects and things that I've done in my life that I did like super, super late. Why? Because I
wasn't on time. I wasn't respectful of my own time. And it starts small. The respect starts small.
It starts by you being on time to soccer practice.
It starts with you being on time to responding to an email.
It starts with you being on time to give yourself some self-care.
Like watching a movie, watching Chimp Crazy documentary, which is insane and you should watch it because it's crazy.
But if you are on time for yourself, you will be on time for other people.
Because think about it, would you be late for other people if it mattered?
No.
Of course not.
You would be there like yesterday.
So treat yourself the same way.
Be on time for yourself.
For me, it's staying up late.
I love staying up late.
I just, the feeling of burning that midnight oil and you're like,
you know, you know you should sleep, you're so tired,
but you're like fighting it.
It's kind of awesome.
But it's not good.
It's not respectful of me.
I'm not being on time.
Internal dialogue that I have in the morning is
coffee oh
like it's lame
whole lot of lame
whole lot of mid
moral of the story is beyond time
you will gain so much respect
from your peers
from your family
from the old heads at the ymca gym
that you go to that seem to never have a job
because they're probably retired and they're like in their
80s and they're always like oh you
you know i used to bench two plates too
when i went to notre dame in 71 bruh
Can I buy your company?
Can I buy your house for $15,000?
Because a house now is $375,000.
Can I buy it for 15?
Well, you know what?
You're a good kid.
I'll sell it to you for 15.
Score!
How to solve the housing crisis.
Tap into old people.
I'm trolling. I'm trolling.
No, but be on time.
It's so good for you.
I know that if you're watching this,
you want to be a better person.
You want to...
The little things matter to you.
If you're more on time,
I promise you it will change your life.
At least that's my opinion.
Zirky's show, like a broken text to speech on a live stream.
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.
Stay grounded, do the things that you love that matter to you, and block out the noise,
because there's a lot of noise in this world that you frankly don't need.
Also, we are in unprecedented times, but the good news is there are other ways to tap
in to the Zerky show. One you can watch, the other you can listen out now. So tap in. Last but not
least, coming from you live in Austin, Texas, Joe Roganville Cyber Truck City here at
Mount Benal. Go outside and explore. Peace.
