Demi Vollering's average speed. Now it was a short time trial. I don't think that matters. I mean, she looked amazing. Her average speed in this time trial, 51 kilometers an hour. I remember doing time trials at 51 kilometers an hour. That is fast. That's very fast folks. If y'all think in miles, that's what is that? 30 over 31 miles an hour with corners you know this was they had a roundabout
turnaround like that that means she's rolling down the road probably on average
at 55k an hour 34 35 miles an hour
all right everybody welcome back to the move. Talking about stage two and stage three. You heard that right? We talked about it yesterday. Today was a double day. Maybe the most hated thing for a rider in professional cycling. But more importantly, Mel, tell us where we went, not just on stage two, please, but also stage three. Stage two. Dordrecht to Rotterdam. Dordrecht to Rotterdam.
Stage three.
Rotterdam to Rotterdam.
Rotterdam to Rotterdam.
I mean, that's so mean, getting the French lady to try to pronounce like a Dutch town.
It'll be good when we get to France.
It's going to be a few days.
We've got a few days until we get to France.
But hey, first things first.
Charlotte, cool. how cool is that?
I already did that joke yesterday.
No, it's cool. I know, but it just got cooler. Now it's twice as cool.
She must be, she must be, um, look, I mean, she wins yesterday.
There's been, uh,
she has a history with Lorena Wiebes being her lead out person before.
And everybody says, Oh, you won because aren't you lucky?
She dropped her chain or had a derailer problem.
And now today comes back and just confirms.
Yeah.
I mean, by the way, that was a real win.
Like that was not.
And she came from so far back too.
I mean, when they were going into the last couple of kilometers and she wasn't in good position, I just thought, Oh no.
You know, and then she fixed it all within like 500 meters and we couldn't see it underneath the trees.
But it was impressive.
Yeah.
You know what?
We got to do a little bit of business for it.
But that's the high level.
Well, the other high level is Demi Vollering stamps her authority on this tour to France so far.
But, Allie, should we start with a little business?
We like business.
Business time over here but uh also i did notice wahoo being very trusted in the pro peloton
of course um doing the gold decals on kristen faulkner's bike and so we saw a lot of gold
wahoo and by the way i actually do have a gold wahoo i prefer the element rome because i like
to well i get lost you know me yeah right the mapping i do and i can only imagine the mapping
system there but um the wahoo bike computers are proven in the pro peloton you are a big fan and
as well as we are a big fan of speedplay pedals i have been riding them since 2009 and you 2012
i was a late convert compared to you yeah it's okay i'm i catch on these trends earlier than
you you are cutting edge. I am cutting
edge. So, um, but we were very thankful for Wahoo for sponsoring this podcast. Wahoo cycling products
are trusted by the pro Peloton, as we're just saying, blinging out bikes, but also we're seeing
incredible podium performances. We see Wahoo's element bolt GPS by computer in the handlebars
of world tour teams. Like I just said, also on my bike. So, you know, I'm pretty proud of that.
Pretty much.
Now you can save 20% on select full price products

I love that.
Also today brought to you by AG1.
By the way, while we're talking about AG1,
we have a teammate from AG1 coming on the show tomorrow
to talk about this amazing product.
And my first question tomorrow, just a little teaser,
is because I talk about it all the time,
is just taking control of your health.
Like, what does that mean to them?
I know what it means to me. A big part of me taking control of my health is a whole lot of things, but morning routines are critical. One of the most important
parts of my routine is drinking my AG one on a daily basis. Got it right here. I drink it before
working out right before making my coffee and it makes me feel ready to take on my day, just like I'm doing something good for my body.
By the way, you missed the coffee this morning.
Yeah.
You didn't make me coffee.
It was a bit of a time crunch today because we had two stages and it's not normal, but the coffee was good.
But before that, my AG1 was even better.
Well, tomorrow you make me AG1.
I'll do that.
Thank you. It's a foundational nutritional supplement that delivers daily nutrients and gut health support and is backed
by multiple research studies. So you can absolutely trust what you're putting in your
body. If there's one product that I trust to support my whole body health, it is AG1. And
that's why I've partnered with them for so long. It's easy and satisfying to start your journey with AG1. Try AG1 and get a free
one-year supply of vitamin D3K2
plus five
free AG1 travel packs with your first
purchase. Head on over to drinkag1.com
slash
themove. That's drinkag1.com
slash themove
and tune in tomorrow. We can hear
more about this amazing product.
Alright, look, double day.
Awful.
I did love Demi Bullard saying,
and I don't even know exactly how long there was between the two stages,
but for you folks who are looking for ways to improve your performance,
she said she took two power naps between the two stages.
That was impressive.
By the way, I think one nap is an excellent idea. If you're that calm and that relaxed
where you can squeeze in two, she's homegirl is, is, is on point.
We've said it before. Namaste bitches. Yeah. Namaste. By the way, too. And I saw the graphic
this morning on Peacock, acock through those first two stages.
And, you know, look, I'm obviously a dude.
I've ridden the Tour de France, the dude's Tour de France.
So I'm always looking at average speeds.
These women aren't messing around, right?
Through two stages, 44 kilometers an hour, average speed.
They're keeping a really good chase out there.
The racing's been so awesome. I think it's, you know, these stages in Holland, we showed the map yesterday.
There's so many turns and people, you have to be at the front.
That just increases the speed.
Everybody wants to be at the front, so the whole peloton's just going to go faster.
Well, and the roads have been so narrow and so technical.
It's been exciting to watch.
Tons of fans.
The teams are just getting everyone up there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The Uzbeks are still struggling.
I saw one of the Uzbekis go off the back today.
She finished, though.
She did.
Good.
Yeah.
I've still yet to Google where that place is.
That's your homework for tonight.
That's where you need to know because we raised that.
I did have an interesting fact, though, that the last time, because we were talking about these double stages, I have apparently done them more than you, which you do take a nap, have coffee.
I do want to talk to you about the stress on the staff because that's preparing multiple bikes.
Good point.
Millions.
So I want to talk about that.
But I found a fact and you like it when I find facts.
But the last time the Tour de France, the dude version, has had a double stage was 1991.
I was barely born, but, you know, 1991.
And it was a short road race in the morning and a team time trial in the evening.
Wow.
That sounds miserable.
Yeah, that sounds terrible.
It is rare.
That was quick on your math.
Yeah.
Well, I, yeah.
You already knew that fact.
I was born in 71, so it's not too hard to just add 20. That was quick on your math. Yeah. Well, I, yeah. You already knew that fact.
I was born in 71, so it's not too hard to just add 20.
I'm right there with you.
So yeah.
Charlotte, cool.
I mean, that's, that's for a Dutch girl in Holland.
It's big.
And the crowds have been, not surprisingly, I mean, the Dutch fans are always so supportive.
They love cycling. It's one of their, I think it's probably a top three sport uh in the country and and whether they
really i remember we started the tour to france there and um i want to say 2010 and the crowds
were insane uh great to see so and and then we also know in holland it can rain a lot nice to
see dry roads especially on a time trial like that.
By the way, Grace Brown, Olympic champion in the time trial, flatted.
You just don't see a lot of flats these days with all the new technology.
Bad luck for her.
Yeah, it took 19 seconds for the bike change, which actually was pretty quick.
But when you're looking at a time trial at that duration.
Morale killer.
I mean, you get back on the bike and you're like, well,
I guess I'll just soft pedal in and keep thinking.
She didn't soft pedal in that's for sure.
But it,
she definitely,
I mean, it had to be a huge hit to her motivation.
And obviously,
yeah.
And,
um,
I think another thing too,
our silver medalist in the time trial,
Anna Henderson,
she crashed in the first or the second stage,
but the stage first stages today,
um,
she crashed and she
had uh maybe get some stitches in her elbow so can you imagine how it is to get in the tt bars
with that and you're looking at the silver medalist so well and i think they got lucky that
the the weather was so good because you know if it had rained or something in that roundabout that
they had the there were uh the railroad tracks and stuff which i thought was kind of crazy to have in the middle of a time trial but yeah well they got lucky yeah what's
going going back to the to the morning stage like what is going what do y'all think i want to hear
both y'all's opinion like what's going through lorraine lorraine a webis is webis let me say
that one more time lorraine a webis's head' head. They said it on the coverage this morning.
I think it's right.
Like she probably expected to roll up and win all of these stages,
these flat stages, and now she's 0 for 2
and certainly just straight up got beat this morning.
What must she be?
I mean, I think you're right.
Coming into this race, everyone thought she was going to dominate the sprints.
She's been so dominant this whole year.
And so to get beaten like that has got to be a shock to her,
but to Charlotte,
it definitely propelled her to another level,
especially the way she figured out how to win that sprint today.
A little boxed in.
You see that move?
She was boxed in and the commentators just weren't like,
well,
look at this sportsmanship.
I was like,
I don't think there's a whole ton of sportsmanship in the sprints, but she just managed to get out. Well, I think she had a lot. I think
she probably felt like she had a lot to prove, you know what I mean? Cause yesterday after winning
the way she did, which was a great sprint that she did, we, this wasn't there because of the
mechanical. So I think, you know, probably in Charlotte's mind, she had a lot to prove.
And, you know, unfortunately for we, this, it just, you know, she's, she thought she had it.
She went early again. She did it, you know, so.
I think I thought she went a little early.
I think that she had the rage of God and her soul to win. And I mean,
at least reading what she said and listening to what she said,
she just said that the, she got. And she had a clean sprint.
She went as hard as she could.
What's going in her head is she actually did her best today.
And she said that the yellow jersey must give Charlotta wings,
is how she said it.
And she probably thought she would have the jersey after today.
And look, we've all been there when your season just isn't going the way you wanted it to.
But out of nowhere, and for whatever reason,
you just have a good day,
which happened to Charlotte yesterday.
Yeah, she got a little lucky
with we was having the technical or the mechanical,
but you just get a little bit of,
there's a little hope.
And you're like, oh, okay, hang on.
And all of a sudden, I mean,
you're physically the same person, but mentally you're like, hang on a second.
She's riding the momentum.
Yeah.
And it's a big deal.
But I think it also shows the whole field, though, that SDWorks can be beaten.
So I think in the next few stages, you're going to see people trying to take those opportunities and feel like they have a chance to do it.
I still do want to do a little a little asterisk here on looking at Voss getting third and third in these sprint stages and getting the intermediate sprint points,
which means she is green jersey focused as well as still going to stage hunt. But when those stages get harder, which we'll talk about in a little bit, she's going to be going going for that for sure
i think oh yeah i mean i think that green jersey is you know well within you know keeping it on
her back is something that she's going to focus on and i know yesterday um i did not put this on
the note sorry um that's it's better when you i like to keep some stuff in reserve just so and
everybody's like whoa he didn't put that on
the whiteboard put it on the board just write them down real small and don't say anything
so okay so teen names get complicated so lance and i have gone on like multiple tirades on how
like what if it's just like franchised and you're like i don't know rooting for the
ravens i don't know i was making up animals but i i in this respect though i want to say the name
right because charlotta cool has been so dominant in these first two sprint stages so team dsm
ferment chick post nl okay so i wanted to say it and then i'm going to go back to team dsm
um they just announced in 2025 um that the they are going to pay minimum salaries equally for both men and women's
teams wow because there's because there's some minimum salary mandated by the UCI in the men's
peloton and women's okay world tour both the men's is probably much higher I think that track is also
has done that too I think that a lot of the men's teams are doing that with their women's teams. I mean, it's great to.
Yeah. I think it would shock people to know that you're competing at what is arguably
the hardest sporting event in the world. And by the way, too, is very dangerous.
So what I, what I read is numerically, it's not the biggest financial jump in the world.
The women's world tour minimum salary for employed riders for 2025 is 38,000 euro, while the men's world tour equivalent salary is 44,150.
So DSM is saying we understand that 6,000 euro is not a lot, but just to make sure that both teams are on the equal playing field.
And so it's giving athletes the same access to wages, opportunities, resources, and Trek has done that as well.
But I feel like I've heard of a couple of teams doing that.
Yeah.
Well, speaking of men and women being equal, I could not help but notice Demi
Vollering's average speed.
Now, it was a short time trial.
I don't think that matters.
I mean, she looked amazing.
Her average speed in this time trial, 51 kilometers an hour.
I remember doing time trials at 51 kilometers an hour.
That is fast.
That's very fast.
Folks, if you all think in miles, that's, what is that, over 31 miles an hour.
With corners, you know, this had a roundabout turnaround like that.
That means she's rolling down the road probably on average at 55K an hour, 34, 35 miles an hour.
Yeah, with the accelerating coming out of those corners and stuff, it's pretty incredible.
That's wildly impressive.
I just sort of floated the question yesterday like is she the overwhelming favorite well i think i got my answer today yeah i mean she was even
said she surprised herself you know that she was going to kind of just get through these first few
days which is kind of what i had thought was going to happen too and i definitely had my money on
chloe and for her to beat her by that much was she had an impressive ride.
I mean, she was very emotional at the, at the, at the finish line, the interview.
I love how emotional she is. It's so cute.
Yeah. She's really cute about that, but that was surprising to me how emotional she would be. And I,
I think it's just being from that area and winning and getting the yellow Jersey,
but I assume those emotions would be seen later in the stage race
um than today and um but chloe did have a stellar ride we marie and i and lance were watching it and
we were i mean she looked smooth she still got a little road rash from her crashes she had in the
olympics but she looked amazing and that was it was a close margin you know what else she did i
tell you this this girl i don't really know her.
I've met her.
This homegirl doesn't like to lose.
No, she does not.
She was in the hot seat and Demi came through.
I was like, oh, shit, I'm glad I'm in Aspen, Colorado.
Like she was.
By the way, I love that.
Like if I could throw the towel down, storm off.
Like she hates to lose.
She hates to lose.
That is awesome.
It is awesome.
It was a little bit difficult when she was a junior.
I mean, not having to deal with her now, but you know, when she was a lot younger, it was
kind of, it was hard, but I mean, but she wanted to win.
That was.
I thought you were going to keep going with this.
Well, no, she would just, she would, you know, sometimes you don't want all your emotions coming out,
you know,
and having everyone know what you think.
And cause I,
cause my feeling was is,
Hey,
if you look too emotional,
they might come after you like in a different way that they know you,
they got you or something.
But you know,
as she,
you couldn't stop her.
And you also,
it was also very difficult to direct her because she had her own ideas of how
she wanted to.
And if you can do it,
you know, she always came through.
I don't know anybody that's ever been that way.
I gotta think.
As a young kid, pretty defiant, didn't take direction, hated to lose.
What's changed?
Hmm.
Anyways.
Well, and it was kind of similar, you know, I just everything that I thought was a normal way to deal with things.
She was just on a different she had a different mentality and I was, you know, trying to figure out how to manage that kind of personality.
And she's obviously still got that kind of fire and hates to lose to anybody, which is why she's such a champion.
I would like to, though, just also talk about our third place today.
Hell of a race.
By the way, second through eighth or ninth place, we're all five.
So first to second, five seconds.
Second to ninth or tenth was five seconds.
That just shows you how dominant she was.
But the rest were really tight.
Yeah.
I mean, the quality of the field, there's so much more depth now.
And it's an awesome thing to see with the Women's World tour that the level is starting to get more depth in it not just a few good people at the top but but the woman that
spent most of the time in the hot seat lois um yes lois yeah okay i'm gonna go with lois i want
to try yeah you want to try i had a uh at a geest okay a d e g e e s t at the geest yeah these names i thought i
practiced it and then i i failed but um anyway getting third but she sat in the hot seat
only to be pummeled by chloe but by a very short margin which is the world champion in the time
trial and looking at her she's a um she races for fdj she's a speed
skater um which is also damy was a speed skater maybe that's a dutch thing i don't know it is a
dutch thing but looking at her results she is um world champion esports the last two years
yeah and we've seen more i mean we've we've had the Zwift stuff where they recruit people. And it's actually worked.
I mean, and it's a real sport, too.
I mean, UCI has sanctioned it.
And we have these events.
So, I mean, power is power, right?
You still have to find your way in the peloton and manage riding around with 100 or 200 other people.
But it's definitely an interesting way to find talent.
Yeah, power is power.
Yeah.
So, I think that's really cool and something that we should applaud Zwift for,
you know,
you know,
being the title sponsor of the two restaurants from a Vic Zwift,
but like also.
Zwift has changed everything up for all of us though.
Yeah.
I mean,
do you remember spending hours on the trainer,
like looking at your wall or your TV,
trying to watch a movie?
Yeah.
I mean,
yeah.
So this changes it.
Let's,
uh,
before we talk about tomorrow's stage, cause it is, this one snuck up on me.
I opened it up and I was like, oh, damn, this is a, this is hard.
But before we do, let's do a little more business, Allie.
I know you want to talk about, y'all spend a lot of time talking about your skin.
And I listen.
I don't ever say anything, but I just want y'all to know
that I am listening.
Like there's times I see myself,
I'm like,
look at my hands.
Do they look like shit or what?
No, they actually look pretty good.
I'm almost 53.
53 year old.
We are 53.
God.
Almost.
Next month.
Well, I mean,
we do talk about skin a lot.
Mari and I like self-care
from riding bikes to spa days to, Mari and I had a really good day month. Well, I mean, we do talk about skin a lot. Mari and I like self-care from riding bikes to spa days to...
Mari and I had a really good day yesterday, actually.
You missed out. We did a nice ride.
We didn't hit the spa, though.
We didn't hit the spa yet.
We spent a lot of time in the sun, though.
And Mari's always been very advocating that I should take good care of my skin.
And so I'm so thankful that One Skin is a sponsor of this show
because it's amazing and it's part of my daily routine.
So it's the OS1 peptide that they have in their product.
And this is one that targets those zombie cells
that we just learned about yesterday.
So basically sloughing off old cells that cause lines, sagging i don't like to use no no nobody
whenever i would talk about it during the menstrual is like oh that it's hard to say that line like
sagging oh man hey we have we have a hack we also love i love hacks and i mean well this os1 peptide
that one skin has developed is amazing and i love all their products so i use the eye the face the
body and mari just got me
really into the body parts on there that like the body parts, but places that, you know, you can,
you can put this on. So it's, it's been an amazing product. So one skin is more than skincare. It's
about skin longevity, targeting the root causes of aging to help you look and feel your best at
every age. And apparently we're all different ages. Get started today with 15% off using the code FEMS, F-E-M-M-E-S at oneskin.co.
That's 15% off oneskin.co with code FEMS, F-E-M-M-E-S. And so we're still on the cusp of
summer. So let's keep that sun going, but also take care of your skin with UV protection,
hydration,
and cellular,
cellular.
I can say that.
Cellular support.
And so it's time to expect sunscreen.
Hashtag hack the sag.
You folks over one skin.
I know you probably hire all these smart marketing people.
Has anybody come up with hashtag hack the sag like i'm t-shirts that's hack this i don't know you don't know i've said
zombie and sag today i am in body parts yeah also today brought to you by roca they do make the best
stuff i mean let's just be real like whether it's reading glasses, which I have to constantly have on me,
just hanging out glasses, walking around town,
and then the performance stuff.
You see a lot of this in the women's peloton.
Rob and his whole crew down in our hometown of Austin, Texas,
have completely changed the game.
It is a new class of eyewear.
Unbelievably lightweight.
You literally forget you're wearing them.
They do have the best optics on the market.
No other sunglasses compare.
Crystal clear, fog resistant, and scratch resistant.
Also, too, they never slip.
They've got these little rubber things behind the ears,
and they just never slip off.
They're always staying right there.
Just did Ludville.
They stayed right on.
Never slipped.
Didn't lose them.
And they look totally badass head on over to
roca r-o-k-a.com enter the code the move at checkout that gets you 20 off that's roca.com
the code is the move keep doing uh all the great stuff rob and team uh let's talk about tomorrow
i think just pull up this profile this this is what i looked at and and i was like it's gonna be a hard day it's a hard day almost 2 000 meters of total vert
but right away climb climb it just starts climbing this this part of the world it's
interesting too if you if you're watching the show and you look at the profile so many people
know cycling fans know this area around the edge which is which is that part of Belgium is called the Ardennes.
This stage actually starts in Holland. And if you see down there at the bottom left,
it's called Limburg. So that's the Limburg region of Holland. It's, it's there right across the
border from the Ardennes. It's the same thing. I mean, it's just a different country with a
different flag, but it's, it's the short, steep climbs that you have to be in front for those
by the way rain is in the forecast which is going to make things which makes it very interesting
very small narrow road short punchy climbs 2 000 meters of vert how many categorized climbs
so the opening four climbs are three cat fours and then um there's only usually a cat three in
the amstel gold so there's gonna they're adding 3 in the Amstel Gold.
So they're adding more climbs than you would normally see even in Amstel Gold in a shorter distance.
Right.
Eight categorized climbs.
Time bonus towards the finish.
I mean, and these are all for those who do follow either the Amstel Gold race or Liege or Fleche Wallonne.
This is kind of a hybrid of those three races.
I think it's amazing.
I mean, you'll recognize a lot.
I mean, look, they go up La Redoute.
They go up Cote d'Ivoire.
These are all climbs that you would have watched in those races.
They're hard.
They're hard climbs, and they're even harder if you're struggling or fighting for position, potentially, in the rain.
Yeah.
Did you notice what the temperature was supposed to be?
I mean, I know we looked at the rain forecast, i mean that could be interesting too because they're going from hot weather cold weather this little supercomputer over here you're quick on it
it's supposed to be on airplane mode it is on airplane you can still get on wi-fi
it's it's not it's uh in 74. So it's not that.
I mean, that's a big difference from low 60s.
But nonetheless, it's about wet roads potentially and just being in position.
So I think when you're talking about Cote de la Root.
How do you say that?
La Root.
Yeah, that one.
So that's 1.6K, 9.4% gradient.
But that climb has been used by a couple women in the Peloton to win and sell gold, including Annemiek van Vleuten, who is not in the Peloton currently, but she has won via launching there, Damien Bollering and Lizzie Deigman.
They love it.
It's a tough day.
Short stage, too. they love it it's it's uh it's a tough day short stage to 122k so if you think about the total vert
it condensed into a shorter stage i mean the profile speaks for itself it's just
it looks like a saw blade yeah and demi said she was looking forward to this
in her interview she said this was the stage that she was i think for a gc contender there's always
sort of that first stage you're like okay this is where the one I'm looking forward to, or I can assert myself.
Now, she surprised herself today.
Great.
But tomorrow's stage is the one where she was thinking, this is where I'm going to show people who the boss is.
This is where her race is going to start.
Yeah.
Well, when we had her on the podcast, she did talk about riding the Ardennes and the man telling her that she could never race. You know, when she was on her podcast about that.
And then the final climb of the day was a cat too.
And Mel needs to pronounce it for me, but it's Cote de la Roche-en-Fausson.
And it's 1.3K, but 11%.
Yeah.
Not far from the finish.
13.3 kilometers in the stage.
And it's the same finale as Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Yeah.
So you're looking at like that.
Yeah, it's crazy.
Anyway.
I think we'll also start seeing some of the climbers like Katarina and these people coming out to start playing a little bit.
So it should be exciting.
Yeah, we love to have people play.
Speaking of climbers, Gaiaia riolini we talked about this
yesterday were we right or were we right we were it was just a huge question mark and early on just
it was a it was a fine but the commissars came out and said they doctored 20 seconds
um looks like a pure climber to me i don't it is her first tour i don't know a ton about her but
you wonder you look at her she'd i don't maybe 90 pounds a stage tour. I don't know a ton about her, but you wonder, you look at her, she maybe 90 pounds, a stage like this.
She's out her hundred pounds.
Position is absolutely critical. Can she maybe,
obviously as a strong team, but hard to stay in position for a 90 pound.
This is going to be a hard race for her for sure. I think it's going to be
difficult. I did have one other thing. And I, okay.
But we're.
Another fact.
Yes.
Another fact.
Just because Mari was correcting me yesterday on Charlotte's wins because I said 19.
She's like, well, now it's 20.
But I do think we have limited amounts for success for sprinters in the rest rest of the tour but there's a couple opportunities maybe one uh but uh weebus has over 89 wins wow yeah so i mean that's a big
difference from coming from a lead out rider to you know this the pure sprinter and i actually
did think that weebus was very positive today like knowing that she gave her best. So that's why I, I, I'm going to give a Charlotte a cool honorable
mention for the boomstick.
Can I do honorable mention first?
Cause Mari is that 21 wins now she's had, but 20, I think right.
21.
Yeah, you're right.
Sorry.
Two, but two tour de France from X-Wift wins.
That's a big deal.
But boomstick. I'm sorry. I'm going with our girl. Tour de France of X-Wift wins that's a big deal huge but Boomstick
I'm sorry
I'm going with our girl
I'm going with Amy
because
Lance
yeah
I'm going to call it a prologue
it was a
you know
some people call it a time trial
but
Amy
going in
full send
in a
short time trial
taking risk
and you were on the edge
of your seat
I know
some of those corners
like whoa easy and she whacks the world champion in the wax in a very small margin but she beats
the world champion the time trial well she beat her by almost a second a kilometer i mean that
that's that's always a rule of thought when you look at that if it was 30 kilometers you beat
them by 30 seconds i mean that's second is the second part i mean by the way when you're good you're good right when your form is perfect you can do you kind
of can do everything right you can would you have taken that much risk you got the prologue though
in 99 right yeah i mean i liked um you like winning i liked when yeah i was like i hate
no i i actually hate losing uh more than i like. Anyway, Boomstick 100% goes to Volarine.
But for people that don't think Lance is sweet,
he did want to make sure Charlotte got the honorable mention as well.
Because there are two people today that just outperformed everybody else.
And we are so proud of both of them.
Boomstick.
I think it's awesome that
she came back and confirmed. I'm sure she was highly motivated. Oh, right. Yeah. Big deal.
And you're right. There are not a lot of other stages. There's a sprint stage,
sprint ish stage after tomorrow, but it has a slight uphill finish. I just peeped. So, uh,
maybe not a traditional sprint day. So, uhne Voss, if she can stay in there.
It's a power sprint, more of a power sprint.
But that will be the first stage we get to France, finally,
for the Tour de France.
We're going to go to France on stage.
We'll be in five.
Also, newsflash here from the move.
We're going to have some other guests on this week,
but we have a very special guest on Friday that you should not miss.
We're not going to tell you who it is.
We're all so excited.
It's very exciting.
How much have I been jumping around all day?
Yeah.
I bet nobody can guess, though.
This is one that I don't think people would guess.
Well, you know, let's ask people to guess.
Oh, please guess, actually.
This is a little fan engagement.
But yes, Friday.
Friday. Very special guest.
I think you're pretty excited about.
I am.
No, I think I am.
I am.
Yeah. I was impressed by you sliding into there.
I'm not going to say him or her.
Their DMS.
I was.
Watch out when I slide into those DMS.
Whoa.
George, put your phone away.
Who's your other, who's your man?
What's it?
Who's the one that you always talk about?
Oh, that's right.
Vanderpool.
Yeah.
Matthew, please stop, but just don't look at Instagram for the next few days.
Blaze is going to get mad.
All right, Blaze.
Sorry.
All right.
We're in for a big day.
We're starting out tomorrow.
I love stages.
They're fun to watch.
A stage like tomorrow.
And look at it right from the start.
This is just a fun stage to watch.
It's going to be action.
We're all going to be sitting around a fire drinking coffee and and watching on television
but you as you're sitting there on the couch you're like wouldn't it be cool if it just rained
a little in here in the race like please don't you see the clouds you're like just please don't rain
but you know it's going to be well you always like to rain anyway but you guys also if you're
like a one-day classic like we got a, two solid days that are borderline spring classic style in a stage race.
So that's exciting.
Yeah.
Any, any other business?
Well, people need to listen to the podcast.
Well, that's right.
And there is that.
If you like it, please, if you're loving the show, I should say subscribe wherever you get your podcast, Apple, Spotify, iHeart.
And, you know, whatever y'all do on those, like, I, I heart, uh, and you know,
whatever y'all do on the, like, I gotta be honest.
Like, I don't know how this shit works.
Like social media, media stuff.
I like the best at this.
I'm good.
But like Lance just text me only when he needs something.
So his phone is a guy.
So hit like, is it, do you hit like on all these things, but subscribe, I know subscribe.
That'd be good.
Um, anyways, all those, all those platforms, Apple, Spotify, iHeart.
And yeah.
I don't know.
Mari and I will probably go for a ride.
How early do we have to get up tomorrow?
Not as early.
Well, not you.
By the way, partial boomstick to Mari Holden for actually being awake.
I had to see it live.
When the morning stage was happening live.
Yes.
The thorns out here on either side of the road
watched it on replay because we were asleep.
Homegirl was awake.
Yeah, you know, I felt like I had to give it my all.
So I needed to be there to see it live.
Man, Mari.
Mari does get partial boomstick.
Lance, you're in a good mood today. That's interesting. That's because I'm going to play golf. See you live. Man, Mari. Mari does get partial boomstick. Lance, you're in a good mood today.
That's interesting.
That's because I'm going to play golf.
Yeah, see.
Well, Mari and I are going to go ride bikes and, you know, do all our things.
We'll take it.
Four o'clock finish tomorrow in Europe.
So four is eight o'clock.
Well, we will do.
Yeah, we'll have to start early.
Okay.
Well, you make good coffee.
I'm on it.
Somebody's got to put you to work.
Yeah.
All right, everybody.
Thanks for tuning in.
We'll see you all tomorrow.
All right. Bye.
