Starting point is 00:00:00 Each team is going to have a different style. And maybe you work better in a style that's more, I don't want to say, like, touchy, feel, but kind of more emotional, like Demi's versus maybe a more, you know, Belgian kind of environment. So I think, you know, you got to find what works for you and your personality and training style and go for it. But I also hear what you're saying about Paula's team, too, about UAE, because that's the opposite of what's going on emotionally from Demi's team, you know, where you have three. different leaders and you saw today, well actually now two different leaders and you have Paula working on the front today, which makes no sense. And we are back. Take two.
Starting point is 00:00:45 I'm not sure if the world knows that this is take two, but it is take two. I'm Lance Armstrong, Mari Holden, Alison Tetrick. Talking about stage two of the Tour de France fam of X Zwift, Mel, where'd we do? Four Mel. From Egl to Geneva. Egl to Geneva. Okay. Oh, I said Geneva.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Geneva. We say, we Americans say Geneva. Incredible. Incredible. When by Lorena Wevis, what we did not need today was a photo finish. No. Actually, a photo finish would have been interesting just to count exactly how many bike links she won by. I mean, I just generally said five plus. It might have been eight.
Starting point is 00:01:36 It was a lot. Five plus, yeah. What a dominant, dominant performance. And two in a row and winning in yellow. A nail biter for Rianna Marcus. We didn't actually get a see the catch, unfortunately. So it was very close. And like you said, Lance, until it was not close at all.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Which makes you wonder why they were doing it. Yeah, that's weird. I want to get into that. Who even wants to bring Wevis to the line when you know she's that dominant. But, fun fact, today is her 133rd career win. Wow. Yes. Her 15th win of the season.
Starting point is 00:02:10 And this would be her seventh Tour de France Femme, Avex-Zviz, stage win. So she is leading that competition. The second best would be Damie and Voss with both three stage wins. Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah, I mean, that is the question is, well, I do think Rihanna-Marcus wrote an incredible race. I want to hear in a little bit, I would just want to talk. about the dynamics of being not just in a breakaway, but even a solo breakaway.
Starting point is 00:02:37 You know, she seems like a specialist. If you're really a specialist, there is a way to play it. But I just want to tease that out and we'll get into it. She looked like she had played it. But as is the case most of the time, and I get a lot of questions from just the casual watch. How is it that they always catch them right at the end? Of course, today, in this case, they were helped. I mean, I think we're all sitting here scratching our heads going, why?
Starting point is 00:03:02 Why would anybody? I mean, you saw the result, right? And I think everybody there. Well, and we saw SD works, like, lose the ability to chase. Right. Right. So if you're the other teams, I mean, the head scratcher is, is why contribute. Just let them do the work.
Starting point is 00:03:18 By the way, fast forward, your rider won by eight banklings. I don't know. I really don't. I'm confused. It was a head scratcher. I feel like maybe they just don't like women. That's what I was thinking. Like, I think Rihanna Marcus is a nice girl, so maybe they're not trying to chase her, but why are they bringing the fastest sprinter in the world to the line to then just wax the competition like that?
Starting point is 00:03:41 And at the end, it was Livolula Jaka doing the taking over for SDWorks when they blew up and they get fifth. Yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, it kind of goes against what you were raised, you know, to believe and to do. Like, try your best. We have to try. But in this case, this is cycling, right? There is strategy. There are tactics.
Starting point is 00:04:04 There are ways to, I mean, you just let the other team. I mean, it seemed like panic, though. You know, I mean, it just seemed like that team thought all of a sudden that, oh, my God, the win is up the road. And they just went into panic mode and started chasing because why else we know, do you really think their director was back in the car? Like, putting them all in the front saying, like, when they saw how Evas sprintered yesterday. Or all year. Yeah, exactly. Like why would they be the ones to try and do this?
Starting point is 00:04:32 Well, it is interesting. We don't have, at least I haven't heard yet this year, the radio community, you know, during the Tour de France fam or Tour de France of Ekmen. Yes, I want. Not a lot, but there's a fair amount of public broadcast of the race radio. I haven't heard that yet. So we don't know. Yeah, we don't know. I'd be curious.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Ben, I'm just curious, too, why there's not more efforts early in the race to get away. Like, you know, obviously, Rihanna Marcus, she did do that and she wrote an incredible race. But why is that not 20 riders? I mean, you see it in the men's tour going 30, 40, 50 guys up the road. This is something we haven't seen yet. And this is only stage two. But these breaks are, I'll be honest, they're not threatening breaks. There's no one in the break that is going to contest overall.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Although, like Amanda Spratt got in it a couple times. I mean, there were some riders who got in there who are a concern. But they had, you know, five women in the break. then they lose a couple on the hills and a couple more bridge up. It was never something where it was going to be out of control, you know, and then until Rihanna went. So if you're these other teams on a stage like this where, I mean, it's built for Wevis. We saw her yesterday, conquers the climbs.
Starting point is 00:05:43 She's the fastest sprinter in the world. What do you do? I think no team did anything to beat Wevis today. They didn't make the race hard enough. They didn't do anything except Rianna Marcus definitely gave a run for her money, for sure. Two-time Dutch National Time Trust. champion. Lance, you'll love this. She's also races, those beach races, you love so much.
Starting point is 00:06:02 And get this. I feel like we've talked about this before. I know. I know. That would be very hard, by the way. Yeah. Yeah. So you know she can do the power, right? She looks great on the bike. I mean, I comment and I was like, wow, look at it looked effortless. Beautiful rider. And she
Starting point is 00:06:17 is actually her younger sister races for SDWorks. So her younger sister was actually chasing her. Oh, gosh. But today was announced her younger sister is leaving for Melissa bike as leaving a S-D-Works singer. You know, you were saying earlier, Allie, how maybe they just don't like women. I mean, I think I thought that that was kind of a ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:06:38 I thought it was kind of a silly comment, but really if people didn't like women, they would have let, you know, SDWorks die and let Trek get the win because like that would be not liking that team or not liking women. That's true. Instead, they actually love SDWorks and are working really hard to make it so they don't have to do anything to win a race. I mean, it just made no sense. Thanks for helping my really bad joke. Because there was some girl fights yesterday. There were some, there was some, you know, girl fights. We're getting into this, you know. There was that crash 1.4K to go. And so I was just
Starting point is 00:07:11 asking, you know, what, what do these teams do? And Lisa Balsamo from Little Trek says, you know, well, there's always this one rider that is causing these crashes. When you look at it, you go, okay, you're talking about Patternoster who's on live, Alula Jacob, who got fifth today. And I'm like, why you call this out? And also then maybe don't get on our wheel. Get on somebody else's wheel. So are you saying then that live chased because they don't like track? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Maybe that. Even though they knew they weren't going to win, they're going to like make it so they don't win. I think that they just started way too late, did not make the race hard enough for Wevis. Right. And I just don't know, Lance, what would you do for these teams? How do you beat Wevis? That is the question. How do you beat Wevis honestly?
Starting point is 00:07:50 You would not chase for SD works. No, you wouldn't help. You wouldn't help at all. You wouldn't, I mean, you would try to put people on the. break, you would have more people on the break. And if it's coming down like it did today, I mean, Rihanna Marcus was holding 30 seconds right up until three or four kilometers to go. I'm watching this going, she might make it.
Starting point is 00:08:13 But just to back to the breakaway thing, and for people who are maybe just getting in cycling, are you young kids out there? There are specialists that get in breakaways. And they know, they sort of know. the flow of the race. And I was sort of questioning whether, as I'm watching her, I'm like, does she, she might have this, she might know the flow, right? And the flow is, you get in the break, one would think, go as hard as you can all day long and hope you stay away. That's one thought. Now, the true breakaway specialist doesn't do that. They try as hard as they can to get in the
Starting point is 00:08:47 breakaway. They establish a gap, which is whatever it is, one minute, two minutes, five minutes, and then they back off because they know that the Peloton is backing off, right? The Peloton is saying, okay, we'll let them sit. We'll let them sit out there and stew. The smart breakaway rider says, okay, I know you're letting, quote unquote, letting me stew, but I am also going to regulate where you are. They're going to keep you there. So you're also saving, like they are saving, the 100% effort or the maximum effort
Starting point is 00:09:19 until the end when they start to accelerate. So you really just try to. to Shadowbox with the Peloton. And I'm watching this going as it stayed 30 seconds. And there was a few kilometers where she started to actually put. I was like, wow, she might be one of these specialists and knows how to Shadowbox. You know, again, a bunch of teams jumps in. Well, she's done it before.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Yeah. I mean, it can be done. Yeah. I mean, she's done it before. And so watching her do it again, I mean, at first I thought for sure there was no way she was going to make it. But like you said, when she was holding it there and then kind of extended it a little bit, was pretty shocking.
Starting point is 00:09:52 You know, you know how to be sitting in the car, just going, yes. I know. We were cheering for. We were cheering for. I mean, should we just, can I call her? Does that make that mean? No. You're giving the boomstick?
Starting point is 00:10:03 I'm going to give the boomstick. I mean, I do love 133 career wins and, you know, 15 wins this year, seven to her different stage wins to Lorraine Owebis. But I feel like she just took that easy. So I'm going, boomstick, move of the day to Rianna Marcus. Okay. And I think, well deserved. Well deserved. But I want to bring it back one second to SD work.
Starting point is 00:10:22 because they actually put Anna Vannebrigen up there too. And when they started doing that, their GC rider, who's also an incredible time trialist, and they couldn't bring it back as a group. That was pretty interesting, I thought. And then Capecki came up and, you know, did a really great pull. Until her two teammates from Lyft took over and helped. Well, they talked about that on the peacock coverage.
Starting point is 00:10:45 It was surprising that Van der Brigham was up there. Yeah, would you do that? Would you be pulling back a break as a GC rider? Probably not in lieu of, and we, of course, at the end of the show, second half the show, we're going to look at tomorrow's stage. I mean, in lieu of that, I mean, I'm looking at tomorrow's stage, just here on my screen, uphill to start. Like, probably not.
Starting point is 00:11:06 No, probably not. But they probably had to. Yeah. And I would think that they think that this is their best chance, like having the jersey right now, getting their stage wins. Yeah, they got to go for it because Van der Braygan's good, but it's not like she's been as good as Demi. No, that's right.
Starting point is 00:11:25 She said her best goal is top five. So in lieu of the UCI weighing Webus' bike and disqualifying her, what other way do you beat her in a sprint? She's that good. Not possible. Wait for an uphill finish. Yeah. The whole Peloton is working for her to win.
Starting point is 00:11:43 And we're happy for it. Today's show brought to you by Pioneer Pastures, full disclosure. I love this product so much. I invested in the company. Have we tried to yet? No, you haven't invited me over.
Starting point is 00:12:32 I think Bolch brought me. We have something. Yeah. You'll like it. I'm really excited. You'd be a believer. You know, I think, though, before we jump in on tomorrow stage, Lance, your favorite topic, the UCI. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:43 I know. Started. We started at the UCI headquarters. Yeah. Good luck. Because they knew that because yesterday four yellow cards, 2250 francs and fines. Some I found pretty interesting. Like our girl Pauline gets a warning for jumping on a sidewalk.
Starting point is 00:13:01 And normally you go, okay, don't jump on sidewalks to gain position. You know, we know that's a no-no. She got on a sidewalk to avoid the crash. Her and Lily Williams get this warning from the UCI, like, fine, whatever. At least they didn't lose UCI points or get dock points. You know, it would be nice if they would spend some time worrying about things that actually matter. Of course marshals.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Yeah, like making it safe for riders, so you're not getting in situations like that. I mean, you know, they blame a lot on the athletes, but at the same time, they need to take some responsibility for things. By the way, kids, it may not be necessarily encouraged to jump on sidewalks, but if you have to get in position and you are not finding a way to get in position on the road and there's a sidewalk. Yeah, of course, if there's a crash, you've got to get around the crash. but if you have to be in position, go on the sidewalk.
Starting point is 00:13:50 One of my best breaks that I've got in the world was on a sidewalk and got me to the friend. Pay the fine. If it's that critical and you have to be in position, pay the fine, go on the sidewalk. I made it to the cobblest first, worth the fine. I'll tell you that. And then I was a little confused because we had all those fun stats yesterday about the best young rider jersey and just interested. Then I got home and I saw Paula Blossie was in the white jersey and I thought, oh, that would have been interesting to talk about. then I realized, wait, why is she in the best young writer's jersey?
Starting point is 00:14:19 So it turns out, she didn't even know, she barely made the podium presentation because they forgot to update the race Bible from last year. So you technically could be, this year it's a U-2-4, U-2-3 jersey instead. So she is 23 years old currently, but she's not under 23. Yeah. So that's so confusing to people. It's so confusing. So much as to people, like you're supposed to.
Starting point is 00:14:44 to like the information you hand out as a rule book should be the rules. I mean, you know, unless they update you and tell you the day before that the rules have changed. Yeah. I think it's all so confusing. But I mean, I'm happy she's in it. But I also think it's totally amazing because we talked about this yesterday and not so much what the rule is and where we draw the line and you were born on what day. I don't know. I don't know. What's interesting is that the Peloton is trending being younger. And so should they lower that? My point yesterday was I feel like that the Tour de France Famovac Swift is sort of setting the trend. And I think that will extend to the men's tour. I wake up today and I'm like, oh, God. There's another thing. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:28 But with the U2.3, so she is 23 years old. But Little Trek, though, goes to the podium to take the Canadian Isabella Holgram and says, okay, here's her, she's the best young writer. And they go, No, no, Paul Blassey has it. And he's like, what? They did say something in the manager's meeting. So I guess Little Truck didn't listen in the manager's meeting. But it's not U2-3. But if they went with U-2-3,
Starting point is 00:15:49 would take the 26 eligible riders I talked about yesterday, which is 17.7% of the Peloton, and it would only be 12 eligible riders this year. Okay. So anyway. Just calm down, Spencer. All right. I found it interesting.
Starting point is 00:16:03 I don't want the hat. I don't want to wear the hat. I don't want it. I don't know. I don't want the propeller. color head. I don't know. Let's look at tomorrow's stage because out of the gate. Ouch. Yeah. The field's going to be this like decimated by the 24th kilometer.
Starting point is 00:16:22 And this should be, this should, people should be just out the back immediate, right out of the gate. They were out the back today and I'm already worried. Yeah. So this then, and there are a few things about tomorrow stage that's interesting. I mean, obviously kicking off with an 11.4K climb at 6.3% category one. earlier stages 156 kilometers long this the top of this is 23 they have to sort out the rest of the day and then you have what three more categorized climbs you have a points bonus for green jersey sprint and then oh yeah at the very end just past that cat last category four you actually have a time bonus sprint for gcccc which after that category too there's also another uncategorized like yeah it's never what it's showing 2 500 meters so we're looking at 8000 feet of climbing. It's a lot of climbing. It's a lot of climbing.
Starting point is 00:17:10 It's a lot of 905 degrees. It's going to be, most of the day. I think that really starts to be. These stages are later. They finish later. They start later and finish later than the men's tour, about an hour later. So, you know, the men's tour roughly every day they try to finish about 5 p.m. These are all scheduled to finish at 6 p.m.
Starting point is 00:17:32 What does that mean? That means that they're just in the sun even longer. It's going to be actually hotter for them. then for the men. It's going to be hot, hot. I mean, it's 95 degrees basically all day long. If you finish at 6 o'clock, this stage starts at 1 or 2 p.m. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Ouch. Well, watching them today, they were dumping water on themselves, like, from the first 30Ks. I mean, they were really working hard. It was 94 degrees today. Win wasn't a factor like we thought it might be. Good news. Tomorrow, 4KN. We enter France.
Starting point is 00:18:03 I was going to say, we do go back to France. Take the words. Why is that good news? I don't know, but the Tour de France Femme, Zift is now officially in France. It always confuses me when it's a tour de France and then we're in like Switzerland, we're in like Bulgaria, we're in Italy, we're in London. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Bulgaria. I made that on it. Maybe Bulgaria will host a stage. Also though, this first climb we do 11.4K, 6.3% cold of Fasil, the tour de France has done it 41 times at back to the men. So Lance, I bet you have done this, but we would have to ask you on one. I don't remember. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I have no idea. And I will not know when I watch it. Well, what do you think? Who wins tomorrow? I think it's for. That's a good question. Here's the thing. It's it.
Starting point is 00:18:50 There is after a hundred, I mean, if I'm looking at this, I'm going, geez, the race really does. I mean, it has a huge downhill up to 131K. So it's going to be a hard race until then you have this big downhill and then it kind of rolls to the finish. But I don't know. It'll be a GC group. Is it? You think? You don't think so?
Starting point is 00:19:10 No, I don't, or a breakaway. I don't, but somebody has to. I would think it's someone like Longo Borgini. Okay. I guess I've said her name a couple times now, but I think in a small group, she can make it, if she can make it over the climbs. I thought Lamborghini looked great yesterday.
Starting point is 00:19:24 She looked good today. They look good to me. And yeah, and I think this bonus sprint is going to keep the group together because that's at 132.4K. It's 150C. I've got 20K in between the bonus point. And that's after a climb.
Starting point is 00:19:36 And it's 600 meters after. the crest of the climb. So I think it's going to be a reduced bunch sprint of GC contenders and strong classic type riders. Because I just wonder if people who can make it over those first few climbs, even if they regroup on the descents and stuff, the group that you're going to end up with is concerned about the time trial the next day because if it's a group of 10 or something like that or 15, most of them probably think that they can do pretty well in the time trial and want to see what's going to happen there versus going off in a break. But it would be totally wrong. I'm going to go with Kim LaCourt.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Okay. That's a good call. Yeah. Our African Jersey, Yellow Jersey. Mauritius. Mauritius. Riter from last year. Remember last year we looked it up and put that picture up?
Starting point is 00:20:20 I know. I know. Kim, let us know when the train camp is. But if a break were to go, you would think like it would go around that 95 after they regroup on that descent. And the time bonus. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Because right after the time bonus. It's an uphill time bonus. Yeah. It's up hill sprint. Oh, it would be exciting, guys. I think tomorrow's going to show some cards. It starts to get a little spicy. Not just UCI yellow cards, I hope.
Starting point is 00:20:49 All right. I hear we got some callers on the line. Not on the line. That would be fun. Live calls. No, I do not want live. Be careful what you wish for, Lance. You don't want them live either.
Starting point is 00:21:04 I don't know. I don't know. our number to give us a call. 970-7182736. Colton, caller number one. Hi, my name is Kenzie, calling from Montana, and I am a first-time fan watcher and a bit of a nub when it comes to cycling.
Starting point is 00:21:23 And I was hoping that you would discuss the team dynamic a little bit. I know in the past, Demi-Bullering has had some challenges with teams and not feeling very supported. And I just am curious about that dynamic. Thanks so much. Super excited for more fun.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Aw, thanks, Kinsey. That's cool. Speaking of girls, not liking girls. I made it such a bad joke. I apologize, people. I thought it was funny. It's you. Bad jokes?
Starting point is 00:21:47 It's you. No, it's, you know, you're, you know, the zero filter. When you said it, I was like, wow. Personally, I mean, she said that out loud. She did say it out loud. Mari tried to protect me, like the nice person she is. I'm not very nice. And she's, she's exact.
Starting point is 00:22:02 I think it was her name was Kinsey. She's exactly right about the team dynamic. And, but I think, you know, you guys know a lot more than me, um, feels like she's found her place. Like, and everybody knows, uh, what everybody's doing and. And she's very happy in her. Seems, yeah, she seems very happy in her team. And they definitely go out of their way to, you know, make her comfortable.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Like we were talking about the other day where at her team camp, she was allowed to kind of bring in her boyfriend or her husband and like letting her kind of have somewhat feeling like home there. think she seems really happy in that environment. Yeah, but I think she, you have to find that right team. And Mari, you know, you've been a team director. You've been an Olympian, world champion professional writer. Lance, you know, you've dealt with team dynamics too.
Starting point is 00:22:48 And there's multiple leaders. You want to build a team. You know, you've kept George around this long, right? You know, you build people around that you trust that you enjoy spending time with, even though you don't ride together that much anymore. But, yeah, there you go. But there is something about building that team. It's up to the support staff.
Starting point is 00:23:05 like the directors, the team owners and the riders, and depends how much leadership that rider has. I can see Damie now having much more leadership and ownership of this team. And I think that does come to be interesting when we're going to look at what UAE, what happens to UOE and these dynamics. And I'll say personally, it's just like working on any company or any team that you are on. Like there's going to be some people you like better than others. And some you're going to be more competitive with and some that you want a room weight with
Starting point is 00:23:33 than some that you don't. Well, and I guess that's one of the things that is so important is putting yourself in the right situation. So if that's the question that Kenzie is asking it, like, how do you get in the right team situation? I think it would be finding the environment that's right for you because each team is going to have a different style. And maybe you work better in a style that's more, I don't want to say, like, touchy feeling, but kind of more emotional like Demi's versus maybe a more, you know, Belgian kind of environment. So I think, you know, you got to find what works for you. your personality and training style and go for it. But I also hear what you're saying about Paula's team, too, about UAE, because that's the
Starting point is 00:24:12 opposite of what's going on emotionally from Demi's team, you know, where you have three different leaders and you saw today, well, actually now two different leaders, and you have Paula working on the front today, which makes no sense. And Demi was, of course, did bring, specialized with her, which I think that's a big deal, just knowing, because it isn't just a bicycle and a helmet and a pair of, shoes or, you know, whatever. It's, it's everything that specialized brains, right? You've got the people, the technical people that you're used to dealing with and making sure that your equipment is dialed. This is going to be. Well, and now Red Bull, too. But Red Bull coming in, you know, probably via Kate Courtney,
Starting point is 00:24:49 but it starts to look really, really cool. And of course, on the technical piece, this is for the first time ever is going to be a key factor in two days with the time trial. Like she would have, Yeah. Yeah. That's a very, very specific piece of technology for, you know, for a bike and for the fit. Yeah. So I also think that Demi with her, she's been very public about her mental health and, you know, what's important to her. I mean, a lot of her posts are about, you know, mental wellness.
Starting point is 00:25:20 And so I think that she's found her thing. That's a really important, like, piece for her and being successful. Great. Leadership styles, team dynamics. I don't know. I've been a domestic and a GC rider and I have hated working for some of my leaders. So we'll tell you that. It's good to like the people you're working for.
Starting point is 00:25:36 All right. Caller number two. Hi. My name is Greta and I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina. Me and my family are wondering how the girls go to the bathroom when they're riding their bikes. Oh, Greta. Greta. Greta sounds like she's young.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Yeah, I love Greta. Greta, have you ever gone camping? Greta, I don't know if you're watching or not, but I'm going to stay out of this one. Yeah, nature brakes on the bike are just similar to camping. There's a good time in the race where things are slowing down and hopefully you're not in somebody's front yard. But most of our bibs have a contraption that I call free to pee with like a magnet or something in the back that you can unhook your bibs, pull them down. So you have to unjip your jersey because you think about your radio and all this stuff. This is new news.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I did not know this. You did not know that. My specialized bibs have this. I just assumed you just stripped down. Listen, that's be real. The one thing I can say to Greta, we got a decipher between number one and number two. Oh. Now, we're not going to talk about number two.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Thank God. Well, Damie did have black shorts on today. She changed her white shorts to black shorts today. Okay. Well, we're also not going to get into that. But we're just going to stick with number one. here. Okay. Thanks for the clarification. I was going to stick with number one as well. With the number one. I didn't know that. Yeah. Yeah. That's, wow. It's a whole thing in women's
Starting point is 00:27:05 I mean, it makes sense. These stages are three, four, five hours long. These, these women are obviously fully have to be fully hydrated. There is going to have to be some. Yeah. So it's similar in the men's peloton as far as the dynamic when the appropriate time to take a nature break is. Like the race isn't going full gas. You usually look for team leaders, whether that that's the yellow jersey or like a matriarch of the peloton. Like I always know who I can trust if they're peeing. I can pee when they're peen because then I'm not going to get dropped because the peloton will wait or their team cars are trustworthy enough that you can get back in.
Starting point is 00:27:38 You are looking for modesty issues because it's a little more difficult for women to have those nature breaks because even with the free to pee part where you can pull down your bibs without completely disrobing, we do not have external plumbing like the men. So, well, you know, thanks for sustaining the obvious. Oh, my God. I'm hitting them all today. I'll tell you what. You know, just going back to what I said earlier, you know, you kind of grow up, taught certain things and you learn things.
Starting point is 00:28:10 And, you know, you learn something every day. You learn something new every day. And so today's here to teach you. I did not know it at this. So Greta, I am so thankful that you clarified this. Like my wife, Anna, she rides all the time. She doesn't have one of these contraptions. or maybe it's just...
Starting point is 00:28:24 Well, they're just a part of it now. Like, the way the... Well, I don't know. Not all the brands to have... A lot of women's shorts now tend to have something that you can pull it down. Or just elastic that stretches more or something like that, whether it's a, you know. And then, of course, probably help. I mean, all these jerseys are full zip jerseys, right?
Starting point is 00:28:43 So if you, you know what? Or they're wearing skin suits and stuff so you have to pull down. Boy, this is... You got radios and snacks in your pocket. Like, it's very complicated to take this nature breaks. They raise them. Real curious in Charlotte. Greta, we love your question.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Thank you. Thank you. Oh, hell. You're over there in George country. So, hell. Now, let me get this straight. How's these women doing this over here? You know, on the bike all day and the hydrate?
Starting point is 00:29:08 I think my favorite one was we were riding once. Don't shoot the balloon. We had to, we wanted a nature break. And I think it was Kristen Armstrong, and she did not want the nature break. So she's like, no, we. we go full gas, right? And the peloton's like, we want this nature break. She goes, if you need a pee, you're not riding hard enough.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Go. So we went to the front. It is. That is true. If you go hard enough, you will forget. So she sends us our whole team to the front and go full gas because she's like, we're not stopping these ladies, she said. That didn't make many friends. No.
Starting point is 00:29:42 That was not real. Getting back to friendship here. All right or forget that. Well, we kick off and we got the mountains to Marvin. And, you know, I'm looking at this, but looks like the mountains to me. Back in France, 8,000 feet, hot. Hats, hot, hots, hots. And, you know, I also love it that we kind of can't figure out what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:30:03 Still, no idea. Could be a break. Could be, you know. A small group. That's why they have the bike race, so we can wake up early and watch it. Could be completely decimated tomorrow. Like, we have no idea. It brings up a good point.
Starting point is 00:30:15 I don't know how they, I mean, I, I'm never that popular on the other set, the Tour de France of Ekman. I think if you got a time cut, you got a time cut. And if that's time cut, that's time cut. And you miss the time cut. You're out. Yeah. Right. You look at this profile.
Starting point is 00:30:31 You're like, uh-oh. There's going to be a group. Somebody or some people are going to be missing the time cut. There was a time cut. There was a time cut. Two minutes outside of it. There's going to be some sad panic. This is one of those stages where you see people out warming up.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Yeah. Ouch. Well, they would have to. It's almost like stage three, the. real Twitter phones, Phamabex Swift starts. Okay, here we go. All right, everybody. Thanks for tuning in, and we will see you tomorrow in three, two, one.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Bye!
