Starting point is 00:00:01 Tucker is back on the podcast and Brett is here doing the intro for us today. Hi, B. Hi, I missed you so much. I missed you more. This is our last month living together. I really can't talk about it. I might start crying. It hasn't hit me yet.
Starting point is 00:00:26 It's starting to kind of hit me. It really hasn't hit me yet. And it's really making me sad, but. I push. Yeah. That's what Alicia from Rhode Island taught me. Just push it down. Push it down.
Starting point is 00:00:36 I'll do that for the next few weeks. Yeah. What's the point in being miserable? It's too much going on, yeah. But you are very stressed today. Yeah, I just have a lot. There's a lot going on. Well, you have a lot going on too.
Starting point is 00:00:49 You're about to leave. I've changed. My personality has shifted a lot these past few months. Why do you think? I'm vintage shopping now. Right? That's the shirt. Yeah, vintage, you guys.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I only shop at one vintage store, which I know takes away the whole point from vintage shopping. Actually, I would say my vintage journey started maybe at the beginning of this year. I think it started in Japan. It started in Japan and on Deepop. Right. And I just took it to a level where it's like, I feel like, my issue with vintage shopping is I feel like I need it all.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Right. Because it's like one of one. And it's like so cool. It's like pieces like are like cooler. Yeah. I'm like I don't know where this is from. But it spoke to me. Remember when we went to the Silver Lake flea market and Vintage.
Starting point is 00:01:35 stores in college and I bought that Chicago Bulls shirt that I like was it so hot it was hot it was senior year why don't I remember that wait yes I and I bought the the three mendis shirt do you wear it still like not as much as I used to I like lived in that shirt senior year and we were like oh my God like yeah because it's like one of one it's like where'd you get this yeah I don't know people know this but do people know your mom is Tucker's number one fan I don't think people know can you explain so So my mom discovered role model last year. No, maybe a year and a half ago.
Starting point is 00:02:12 But she was, she was early on it for like the moms. Like he has a big mom audience. He has a big mom audience, but she was early on it. And she like became obsessed and like obsessed with his new album. And like she loves Tucker so much. She knows all his songs. And Jake once nicely got her. A video message?
Starting point is 00:02:34 Yeah. Jake got her. video message from Tucker and she calls him Tucker, not Roll model. But should we ask her what her favorite song is? Should we see if she picks up? I think she would appreciate that. Yeah, just speak her phone at. I'm here with Jake. Hi, Jakey. Hi, Motto. And we are recording the intro to the therapist episode with Tucker. And we wanted to know what your faith, we wanted to know what your favorite thing about Tucker is and your favorite song.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Okay, but before I do that, can we just take a beat, Jake. Are you aware of how good you look and do you feel as good about yourself as you look currently? You know what? Today I felt it.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Today I felt it. Are you hearing me? No, and I need to hear you more because I do have, I'm still having negative mindset. Okay, well baby steps, but I want to tell you. Thank you. Sort of like Brett had a moment when
Starting point is 00:03:35 She just, like, her authentic sunshine returned. And I feel like that's where you are right now. Yes. Thank you. Oh, you really feel that way? I wouldn't say it if I didn't, honey. Oh, that's nice, Mom. I love you, Mocho.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Thank you. You guys know that. All right. Tucker, like, I have to be careful because I'm a 62-year-old grandmother. I got to be careful because it's very sexual, but, like, he just, does this little thing with his mouth that sends the crowd spinning. And he is, he's a wordsmith, which I know you guys appreciate because of Taylor. He has written powerful lyrics that we all want to sing from the top of our lungs, and that is rare.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Yes, he's a rarity. What's your favorite song? If you have to choose. I only do one. You can do two. You can do two. Can I do early Tucker and then new Tucker? Yes, please.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Please. Yeah. Okay. All right, but I want to get the correct because the lyrics are in my head rather than song titles. So let me do a little research and I will do a group text to you guys. Okay, that's fine. And he has sold out the salt shed before Mocho could get tickets.
Starting point is 00:05:00 So I'm going to lean in, guys. when that's in September. Tucker. What's the salt shed? A venue in Chicago. He's playing this venue in Chicago, which is outrageous and cool.
Starting point is 00:05:14 And, I mean, I was talking, okay, I played Tucker's, the video that you got for me, Jake, at a party on the 4th of July because the girls were like, oh my God, Motel, we're totally in a role model because of you. And I'm like, yeah, well, his name is Tucker.
Starting point is 00:05:30 He's on my phone. And they're like, why don't you put that on social media? I go, because that's not for social media. That's for me and you because I've had two cocktails. Yes. Love. Okay, well, we'll get you to Tucker in Chicago, Mom. Love you.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Oh, my God. All right, so I will send, I know the words, but what are the words? The title of the song, you'll know the lyric. Some pretender, that one? No. Just don't. I'm going to do it. I'm in the middle of an insurance assignment, but I will do your assignment.
Starting point is 00:06:02 As soon as I'm done with this. All right. Okay. Love you. Bye. Love you, Mocho. Where were you just? I was just in Switzerland and Croatia.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Oh, yes. Brett, Brett. Brett. Brett. I can't speak to. Wait, did you see I got Katras in Switzerland? I did see that and I'm realizing I can't speak because I'm high. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I'm like, why can't I speak? Like, why aren't my thoughts connecting to my? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's because of mine. Did you end up smoking earlier at like 11? Yeah. I did. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:33 It's the summer. When it's the summer and it's hot out, you just want to be high, like, in the sun. And by the way, I've been getting some color on my face. Like, I woke up with some freckles. Love. Oh, I've been watching Skins, UK. Have you ever seen?
Starting point is 00:06:46 No, was that on MTV? So there was a U.S. version on MTV. Oh. And that was very poorly received. Yeah, I remember. Very, very, very poorly received. I remember my mom used to tell me if I saw Skins on the TV guy, and I couldn't press the...
Starting point is 00:07:02 the show. I couldn't watch it. Well, you know today in TV shows, they like outright say things because they assume that you're on your phone. Did you know this? They give like extra exposition. I actually did know this. Like they give like, and I'm in the restaurant. Like they like shit like that. So because they assume people are on their phone. Whereas if you're back in the day, if you're, I'm watching skins and I'm like, oh, I have to like put my phone down and lock in because I'm like going to miss some like minor detail that explains that implies and explains that. this because each episode's a different character.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Oh my God, Skins is amazing. Louise, you would die. How have you not seen Skins? Wait, what? I've seen it like four times. Oh. Like, when it was airing. Well, I'm on a skin's journey.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Well, I don't want to change the subject. You can change the subject. The new Hunger Games movie is going to change your life. Wait, why? Because the book? The book. Have you read it? I haven't read it, but I've been following your story.
Starting point is 00:07:53 No, no, no, no. Like, you don't understand it's about Hamich's games. The book is... Should I read the book? Like, maybe. Have you been reading? No, but. Fuck it.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Like, what else am I going to do? It is so good, so fucking sad. Okay. So good. And the movie comes out in November and I'm so excited because I know you love the Hunger Games and I do too. I love the Hunger Games. It's got to like, it's got to change lives.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Maybe I'll give it a read. Yeah. Easy read. I mean, did you read the original Hunger Games? Yeah, easiest reads ever. Then yes. It's very similar to the first one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I'm sold. Yeah. I read it on vacation. It was amazing. You need to watch skins though. Okay. It's old though. It's like from 2007.
Starting point is 00:08:32 then. Like, I don't know if you're down for that. No, that's fine. I'm, I'm rewatching, or actually, no, I'm not rewatching. I'm watching entourage right now with math. Oh, then you can definitely do skins. Skins walk so Euphoria could run. Or honestly, vice versa. Skins is like actually, like, no offense to Euphoria. Like, Euphoria is great, but Skins is like, changed my life. Like, skins is like, I'm watching it and I'm like, oh my God. Like, the way these people live, like, yeah, you could argue that it's bad because they, like, kind of are so day by day. day and like but not everything is the end of the world like things kind of just happen in skins and life moves on do you know what i mean that's a good message like life moves on like no one in
Starting point is 00:09:12 the show is like oh my god it's the best show i've ever seen it's amazing the theme song's like a banger i'm seeing if my mom has texted us she has it we've loved role models since senior year of college yes r x what was our favorite what was our favorite song off that oh she just responded my mom said Life is Funny, number one, early Tucker with Say It First, Close, Second. Current Tucker, some protector. Oh, she's like going. With High Hope's 3,000 in second by a nose forever and more. Oh, wait, give me, give me, give me.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Ooh, and never let you go. And die for my bitch. And who hurt you? Wait, my favorite is, um, that album is so good. Oh, I think my favorite was RX. Do you remember I loved RX? Yeah. We would listen to this on the way to berries.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Never let you go. So good. So good. But, okay, at this current time, I'm in France. And if France is still in the World Cup. Oh, it's going to be insane. It's going to be insane. I'm going to be having the time of my life.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Well, because everyone says Mbapé is, like, the best player. And he's French. Yeah. And I'm going to be French. Do you think they're going to, like, have it on, like, every bar? Yes, I think so. I think they go crazy. Oh my God, I was in France during the fucking heat wave.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Which is going to be sick. Which is genuinely like we didn't talk about it enough. Because I shut my mouth. I didn't complain. Yeah. But I, we don't talk about the fact that I was there for Louise. I mean, Brett. Wow.
Starting point is 00:10:45 When I left my hotel, I couldn't. I actually couldn't leave my hotel. No. You know, I can't even put, there was no one on the street. Nobody was. It was like 105 degrees. It was. crazy crazy crazy like crazy like i've never been so hot in my entire life i was out at night one night
Starting point is 00:11:06 the one night i went out i was drinking wine and all of a sudden i feel a drop and my back had been dripping sweat everywhere and then i just looked around and everyone's back with dripping sweat everyone's dripping sweat and i was like okay i guess i'll lean into the sweat yeah you kind of have to it makes going out a tad more vulnerable and a tad more fun i would say actually as well like when i was out and I was sweating. I was like, I'm out. And I'm sweating. And I feel like I'm letting myself.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Oh, the new Majan album is amazing. Speaking of sweating. Have you heard? Speaking of Sweating. Have you heard the new Madonna album? I've listened to like three songs. Lowery sad. I haven't listened.
Starting point is 00:11:44 It's so good. It's so good. Read my lips. Oh, good for the soul. Like, oh, you've been like listening to this album. Dude, I've been listening to this album. Wow. Well, what I love about the album is,
Starting point is 00:11:57 it's really helping me deep dive into Madonna. And I'm, like, so fascinated about her early days in New York in the 80s and late 70s. I'm, like, fascinated by it. Yeah. Oh, when you are away, are you going to be using my Shake and Train with Jake Shane series on the Allo Wellness Club app? Yeah, of course. I already have a downloaded. Really?
Starting point is 00:12:17 Yeah. Oh, thank you. Oh, of course. What's crazy about the Allo stuff is actually one of the first people to compliment me on my workout journey was Tucker. in that very first episode. And my body has transformed so much since then. So I just am really excited that I got to do this. Because I'm like, I feel, I've never felt comfortable with my shirt off, as you know.
Starting point is 00:12:41 It's so full circle and amazing. Allo has been such a big thing for you. Biggest. Yeah. Every morning. Are you going to Allo? Yeah. Every single morning. It's really a routine.
Starting point is 00:12:50 And I got to shoot it in the South of France. Which is amazing. Which is amazing. Yeah. And if you guys want to check it out for yourself, you can go to the Allo Wellness Club.com slash Jake to download the app and do my shake and train with Jake Shane series today, as well as 4,000 other classes that include Pilates, strength training, yoga, bar, mat, everything you need.
Starting point is 00:13:10 And it's free. I thought a fun way to stay in touch when you move, despite you saying, like, I know you're like, it's close by. We should send each other what song we're listening to that day that were hyperfixated on. Yes. Because we both always hyperfixate on a song of the day. So we should always just like wake up and send the song. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:25 And I think that's a beautiful way to stay in touch. Let's do that, please. But I was telling Max today that I'm just, like, so overwhelmed with, like, things that I have on to, or I have going on to. And he said, well, it's better that to be underwhelmed. Yes, always. I was like, you're so right. Always.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Joan Rivers' biopic, she'll point to the page of nothing and say, this is my worst nightmare. Yeah. Yeah. So you got to just be grateful. Yeah. And power through. Well, should we say our favorite Tucker song in honor of the third episode? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:55 What's yours? I think forever and more. Mine's Sally. Oh, well, of course, because you were the first Sally. Ever. Yeah. And, like, never forget it. No.
Starting point is 00:14:04 So, my favorite is Sally just because of what it means to me. I love you so much. I love you more. Enjoy the episode, Pussies. Hey, guys, welcome back to Therapus, the new season, and now exclusively on Netflix. And I'm here with Jake, my friend now. I even want to hear it. We're friends now.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Okay, continue with your intro. I'm sorry. The first time we did this, we were strangers. Complete. We've gotten to know each other. And your phone's buzzing a lot. We keep in contact. How is moving the phone from one side of the octabust to the other?
Starting point is 00:14:48 Could to stop it from buzzing. I don't know what to do with it. I'm sorry. But I'm happy to be back. I know we, our thing, maybe that we're, we sort of go at it with each other a lot. Oh, is your new era about kindness? And so now I just think that maybe we could open this episode with kindness.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Oh, okay. And being sweet to one another. My hands are a little balmy. Oh, yours are too. Bomby? Bomby. Gross. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:18 So I'd like to just start. His new album, Chuck Timely and the Hourglass, is out August 7th. Please give it up for Tucker, role model, Pillsbury. well, I have to do that. Okay. But like I was saying, I think that we could just start with kindness. I just want to start by saying, I'm proud of you. You're a very hard worker.
Starting point is 00:15:44 You've done so much more than make TikToks impersonating things. Thank you. Well, okay, so if we're opening this up with kindness, I am very proud of you. You've been singing it all around the town everywhere. And people know every word. Oh, yeah. Every word.
Starting point is 00:16:06 I will say there's one other thing I want to just start off with. Remember when you called me when Nile Horn was on here? Yeah, are you trying to clear the air on the... Yes, because I caught shit. I know you did. And people didn't take the joke. But understand this. I was in the studio and I was working.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Jake called me. I didn't answer. He called me again. I didn't answer. And before I could even text him and be like, hey, I'll call you later. Nile Horn calls me for the first time ever. Yeah. He's never called me.
Starting point is 00:16:40 And so obviously in my head, I go, oh, they're on the podcast. This would be funny if I pick up for him and not for Jake. And it was funny. And it was funny. Did people actually get angry about it? People were like, he's like the worst friend ever. Oh, this is like too far. It's like, out of everything.
Starting point is 00:17:01 out of everything. It's just... Any new tattoos? What? No new tattoos. I heard you want to get it ear piercing. I remember you called me and asked if that would be a good idea. I don't even remember.
Starting point is 00:17:16 Did you say yet? I think you were doing a mass calling of like everyone you know to be like, is it weird if I get my ear pierce? And what did you say? I think I talked you out of it. You don't think so? Because you were talking about a single earring and I was just... Yeah, like one right here.
Starting point is 00:17:29 I know. Don't you have one? but your ears are pierced they used to be when'd you get them out um you know it's funny is as soon um i did a movie with lena i know you uh-huh way long time ago when she the first time she ever called me about it and was like i have this movie blah blah blah talk to me about it it wasn't even like confirmed that i'd be in the movie it was just the possibility i was like i got off the phone and and I took my earrings out, and I was like, I want them to heal before I shoot a movie because I don't want to look like a douchebag in a movie with Natalie Portman.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Did they heal? Kind of, but I think you can still see the little dot. Yeah, I can. Unfortunately. I don't think it's unfortunately. I just thought maybe I just needed to grow up a little bit. So, Lena Dunham is the reason I did it. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:18:26 It's a cool, fun fact for the therapist. I still hear your phone buzzing, buzz, buzz, buzz. I can't do anything about it. You can't put your phone out. Do not to serve? You can just throw it out there. I'm sorry. I like your ballet shoes.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Thanks. My, they're my lemon pepper stepers, I was told. What? They're my lemon pepper stepers. What do you mean lemon peppers? What's a lemon pepper step? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Someone on my touring team said you got the lemon pepper stepers. Are you excited to go back on tour? I am excited to go back on tour. I'm very excited. We just did some festivals. I saw. in Europe and it got me very excited but it was fun so like let's just sit with it for a second okay
Starting point is 00:19:13 because i'm just i thought by now you'd be better and i just saw it in your eyes of you just searching for and it's just it hit me and i was like oh he's probably seasoned by now he's like he's probably got this down but i just got to sit with it for a sec because i don't think you do okay what if we Go back to our roots for a second. Yeah. And play the game. What game? Three, two, one game.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Sure, I would love that. Okay. Three, wait, your word. Mm-hmm. Three, two, one, sneaker. Wood and sneaker. Three, two, one, golden goose. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Okay. Three. I'm already there. You're not there. Three, two, one. Sandal. gardening and sandal. Three, two, one,
Starting point is 00:20:12 Rake. Okay. Soil and rake. Three, two, one, flower. How long did it take us the other time? Like two hours. But then when we got it, it was amazing. Let's just start again, really quick.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Okay. Oh, my wrist. Have you heard about my wrist? No. Let's go. Let's come back to this game, talk about the wrist. Okay. Three, two, one.
Starting point is 00:20:39 No, no, no. Come back to the game. Talk about your wrist right now. Oh, okay. Let's come back when we sync up. I have Dequarevins tendonitis. You did tell me about that. And it hurts, look.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Is that what it's shaking? This tendon, so inflamed. Oh, Jake. I know. I've been run ragged. And how do you help it? What? How do you help the wrist?
Starting point is 00:21:04 What do you do? Oh. Physical therapy, steroid shot. Okay. I have a brace I sit I'm sorry have you ever hurt a part of yourself
Starting point is 00:21:16 I have broken a lot of bones what bones my knee my wrist my arm I broke my wrist yeah I broke it multiple times and I have scars on my wrist
Starting point is 00:21:28 from it and then when did you break your knee I just this is not what people want to hear I know okay so what do you think people want to hear I don't know
Starting point is 00:21:37 like the Sally thing is just run dry, huh? How do you feel about that? The Sally thing ending? You started the Sally thing. How does it feel that it's now ended? Like, good?
Starting point is 00:21:47 Because every time you brought up a different Sally on stage, I would be like, okay. Yeah, you'd be like, okay. And then you didn't end it with me, which would have been sweet. And now neither of us are going to have anything to talk about in interviews. Have you officially, like, killed it? Yeah, it's done. I think it's important to know when to end a bit. So who is your final Sally?
Starting point is 00:22:07 Who is the last one? I didn't think about it at the time, but it was Robert Irwin. And it was truly, I think aside from Olivia Rodriguez, it was the craziest response to a salary. Watch it. No, I'm just saying the pride of his nation. Nation. A country, nation. Was he from New Zealand, Australia?
Starting point is 00:22:32 Australia. Yeah. What do you? I'm on my pager. That's not a pager. It's not a pager. Is that for your diabetes? How is Nick Jonas?
Starting point is 00:22:44 He's diabetes. Yeah, we spoke about it, actually. We spoke about his diabetes. And he remembered meeting me. Yeah. I didn't think he would... Oh, from Vegas? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:55 I know. He said he's like... And you were there, too. We talked about that. And you said, you remember me, but I know you did it. I do. I remember exactly where you were on the plane. The back?
Starting point is 00:23:05 No. I was in the back. Okay. Three, two, one. For a book. Fork and book Let's keep going Let's just
Starting point is 00:23:15 Okay Do you want to Okay so you said you had questions About my candy Yeah I'm just curious It's creative officer Chief creative officer Oh I see your name is on it
Starting point is 00:23:27 Yeah Jake Shane Tauropus It's amazing Okay You let me know when you want one I will let you know Let's go back Because we talked about being nice Yes sorry
Starting point is 00:23:37 I feel like I'm being a little mean Yeah I know I feel like I being mean like I came into this thinking you were going to come for me. No, I wanted to try and be nice today because I feel like... I want one. They're just so good. They're just so good.
Starting point is 00:23:56 I can't look at them and not eat them. What we time? Yeah, make sure you eat it into the mic too. You know, the guy just ripped off his headphones. I can't even imagine what you just went through. That kills me. Let me get comfortable. That was tough.
Starting point is 00:24:25 That was not a cleanser. How's the east side of Los Angeles? It's good. I have a house now. You have a house? I have a house. So you do make money? It's nothing like yours.
Starting point is 00:24:37 I've lived in the same house since you've known me. I've seen yours. I've lived in the same house since you've known me. I know. And it's always been impressive. But you lived here with a lot of people and now you pretty much are about to live here alone. I know. What are we going to do?
Starting point is 00:24:50 Which proves. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know why you live. live out here. I'm not going to dox you, but I don't know why you live. Where I live? Because you're such a social butterfly that I would think you'd want to be near. What's your favorite memory with me since we last recorded? I enjoyed, I remember you, on my birthday last year.
Starting point is 00:25:18 So fun. Well, I had a, I don't love celebrating my birthday, so I just, had a dinner with what was about it was going to be me and my four friends make it five i remember you called me and you're like it's your birthday and i was like yeah i'm going to dinner and he was like i'm coming and then jake showed up and it was actually like really fun and um you got to meet like kai and it was fun and i love kai yeah i love kai he's been a lot of time with kai i do it's my it's my bestie do you miss him right now i do i haven't seen him in what two days No, I was seeing him in like five days.
Starting point is 00:25:58 I miss him. That's how I feel about my best friends, too. They're in New York. Yeah, you, you know. I know. You know. Well, I got a place in New York. I found that out recently.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Because any time you'd FaceTime me, when you were in New York, the background and stuff, is what I imagine. Like, I just imagined you were staying with Tate McCray. Staying. That's yours. It's my. You can say it proudly.
Starting point is 00:26:26 It's my apartment. that I got after I did Broadway. Period. Well, where's your Birkin? I was going to bring it because we talked about I wanted to sell it to you. I don't. Can I be honest? I thought you were going to like midway through that episode be like, I have a surprise for you.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Give it to you? Yeah. Well, funny story. I was going to do a music video that I'm not going to do anymore, but I had a music video and my dream is to have sexy red in a music video. And I just, I love her. I think she's amazing. And what I was going to do, my pitch,
Starting point is 00:27:08 was I was going to give her the Birken to just be in the music video. Yeah, you know, Neon gives Alabama Barker Burkins all the time. I don't know. That doesn't come across your desk? Neon the streamer. Thank you, Ckekeke for spot. sponsoring tonight's episode.

I don't know if you've heard, but I have a new workout. series with the Allo Wellness Club app called the Shake and Train with Jake Shane series. It is four 10-minute workout sessions to our strength training, two are Pilates, and I have such an incredible time filming them in the south of France with Louis Chandler and Bianca. It was seriously one of the most fun days of my entire life, and that whole trip in general
Starting point is 00:28:43 was just incredible. But if you listen to this podcast, you know that I've had a really important relationship with working out over these past three years, and that's all thanks to the Allo Wellness Club, both in Los Angeles. and New York and all the trainers there. They really helped shift my mindset on working out, which has been, like, honestly, consistently working out has been a struggle for me throughout my entire life. I finally feel like I'm out of place because of the Allo Wellness Club and these trainers.
Starting point is 00:29:09 I'm really proud of my progress that I've made. Also travel a lot. When I travel, it's hard for me to consistently go to the gym if I don't have a routine. And the Allo Wellness Club app helps me have a routine because even if you don't like my series, which is so fine, there are a four. 4,000 other classes that you can do from yoga, strength training, Pilates, Matt, bar, like anything you need, the Allo Wellness Club app has and helps you stay on a good workout schedule, even if you're just in your room, or even if you only have 10 minutes, like the classes are
Starting point is 00:29:42 only, some of the classes are only 10 minutes. Classes I do, there are four classes. They're 10 minutes each. You can do only one of them and still have a great workout. Also, the great thing is I wanted to make the series feel like my podcast meets me working out in a way. So I feel, I hope that they make you laugh as hard as I laughed while filming them and working out because working out is also about having fun. Also, the best thing is, it's free. You can just go to Allo Wellness Club.com slash Jake and download the app today to start
Starting point is 00:30:11 working out with me. That's Allo Wellness Club.com slash Jake. Thank you again, Allo, for working with me. This has been such a dream. I hope this is only the beginning. I think what we feel, what I feel right now is like, okay, the first two were amazing, and now it's like the third, and it's like a lot has changed, and it's like, well, what now? Let's talk about that because I, there's a, now, I'm just going to, the internet's very predictable. I'm sure you know that as well. It's going to be, this is going to be the fall off episode of us too. You think?
Starting point is 00:30:45 I kind of had that feeling this morning. I woke up and I was like, are people, is it going to, is this it? They're just, it's just predictable. They're going to be like, oh, I liked it better when they were strangers and they were, like, flirting with each other. And it was like, yeah. And now they're going to be like, it's on Netflix. Right. They hang out.
Starting point is 00:31:03 You think the Netflix has changed stuff? I'm excited to be on Netflix. I can say hi to. Say hi to Netflix. My family. You're already on Netflix twice. You know that. I'm going to be on there for real.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Three times. I do miss. see you though. I never see you. I know. But we face time. We're busy. You have to, it's... I always face it. We're always on a flight. You like flying? I hate flying. No, I hate traveling. Um, I really hate traveling. Can I say, my new take that I'm realizing is like, I was just in Europe and I, and it's beautiful. Especially like the shows there are very fun.
Starting point is 00:31:48 The crowds are like completely different. Yeah. There's no phones, which I don't care. You can have your phones out. But there's no phones. I mean, God willing, or else Sally wouldn't be a thing. And they like dance with each other. It's like communal.
Starting point is 00:32:02 It's like amazing. But I will say as far as just like being out there and I'm just sitting in hotel rooms. And I will say I just, I weirdly miss America. And then I get back here and you land and land. like an American airport and I see the McDonald's and I see the shitty little food things and it just like makes me happy and I like oh you like are happy when you land back here I think I'd like America and it's such a weird thing to say and I'll probably get in trouble for saying it but I think I've just come to the realization that I'd like well here's what I like about America more than
Starting point is 00:32:43 Europe great hit me with it they have air conditioning here let's go down together let's talk about How much we love. They have air conditioning here. That? When you ask for a drink, they give you ice without even asking for the ice. I like that. I like that they put a lemon in the Coke thing automatically. You still, you, you, what, Diet Coke or Coke?
Starting point is 00:33:03 I don't even know that about, right. They do Coke zero, though. I know. But that doesn't make a difference. Do you think that makes it different? It doesn't make a difference. I like that when you, I don't like when you postmates over there, You just don't, it's all unfamiliar.
Starting point is 00:33:18 I don't even try. You could be like ordering from the worst place on earth. There could be rats in the box. And you don't know because you just judge it on pictures. Like you're ordering. Wait, wait. Do you understand what I'm saying? You're angry because you don't know about the reputation of a restaurant
Starting point is 00:33:35 because you don't live there. I order off postmates a lot when I'm overseas. And the problem is I don't know any of these restaurants. So like I could be ordering from a dinner from like a 7-Eleven and not knowing it. You know there's like Yelp. I don't know. You never yelped? I've truly never been on one of those.
Starting point is 00:33:55 A food review site? Yeah. So whose fault is that for not? It's mine. I'm just saying, yes, I'm lazy, but I like the comfort of knowing. I like the, I think I like America. I get it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:34:10 I like saying it, but I think I do. L.A. or New York? New York. Really? But you live here. Full time. If I'm in album mode, I'm working Monday through Friday for like month-long lockouts. So it says I don't even, it doesn't matter that I live here.
Starting point is 00:34:31 I'm not going outside. So it's fine. But then if I have too much downtime, then I need to leave and I go home or I go to. Maine. I go to Maine or I go to New York, yeah. Maine. Maine. I'm going to go next week.
Starting point is 00:34:45 You excited? I am. You can get a lobster roll. It's my favorite place. I don't eat seafood. Did we cover that before? I'm sure. I just don't do it.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Oh, you're not allergic. You just don't do it. I just don't do it. I've never had it, and I just, it's one of those things. You do eat meat. I eat meat. I've never had seafood, and I just never want to have an idea. I just don't like.
Starting point is 00:35:10 What? I don't like the idea of it. Of seafood? Like, what about the idea that do you not like? I don't know. Most of it's the smell. I also just like crustaceans. It's like, to me, that's like an insect that you're cooking and then you're eating.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Like I just like lobsters are insects. They're bottom feeders. Fun fact. They used to feed prisoners, lobsters, long time ago. And I'm just going to throw it out there early 1900s maybe. But they used to feed prisoners, lobsters. or dinners because it was it was like their bottom feeders and so they were like
Starting point is 00:35:50 thought of as a shitty thing that you get into. But now it's the most expensive thing on the menu. But now it's like someone like you eats it. Been working out. Oh my God, you have been working out. Oh, that's what I was going for. That's what you're Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:07 That's what I was going for. Yeah. Except somebody online said I reverse body dysmorphia. No, you look healthy. It's not, it's, what? It's not unhealthy. I look healthy? I'm saying you had a, uh, a phase.
Starting point is 00:36:27 You got very fit and muscular. Yes. And it's not a scary muscular. Okay, thank you. It's not like clobicular. No, you, you look like you work out. I don't know how else to put it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:36:40 You still like poppy, I see? Yep. Is that the pride one? No, it's the love. Pryd Polly. Pride, Poppy. How are you celebrating Pride? Rolling out an album.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Mm-hmm. And then just be in there for you. I need it. I know, and I'm here for you. You know, I'm going to be... The month. The month. I'm here for you all month.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Good. I'm happy to do it. I called you gay in an interview recently. I am gay, so... I know. Were you nervous? No, it was really funny. I screenshotted the thing of you being like, you called me gay.
Starting point is 00:37:24 Something, something. It really, like, made me laugh out loud. It made my dad laugh, too. He called me about it. It really did make me laugh. You know, Tucker and I do have, we do have a bit. What? Do you know what I'm talking about that we always do when we see each other?
Starting point is 00:37:39 Mm. Please. I'm thinking. Fucking rip your face off. Bitch. Of course. Every time. Every time we see each other once a year.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Well, now I saw you at the Dior show. Oh, yeah, we said it. And we said, I'm like, fucking rip your face all, bitch. Are you a Marvel fan? No. Why? I was watching it to ease my anxiety last night. Which movie?
Starting point is 00:38:11 Marvel is the... Avengers Infinity War and Tang Game. Got it. Doesn't do it for you? Can't relate to it or nothing. That you... Superhero, you can't relate to them? Yeah, I can't relate to it.
Starting point is 00:38:23 You can't? I feel like their whole thing, though, is about, like... What's your favorite part of it? My favorite part of Marvel? I like... He's over there. Go get him. That line.
Starting point is 00:38:33 I love it when he says that. Who says that? The Hulk. Remember the Hulk is like, he's over there, go get him. You like, fucking with me in one movie does he say that? That's what I'm saying. It's just a bullshit movie.
Starting point is 00:38:48 What's... My favorite part is anything with Wanda. Okay. I love Wanda. Okay. She's the most powerful being in the universe. I watched this documentary recently called Streetwise, and it's unbelievable, and I think you should watch it. It gets really sad, but it's about the homeless.
Starting point is 00:39:14 It's like homeless teens, young teens in Seattle in the 80s, and it, like, follows them around and it's like a documentary, but it feels like a movie because there's like arcs and there's like some of them meet each other and like fall in love. And there's like, it's amazing. Is it a docu series or a movie? It's a documentary. Okay. One. Yep.
Starting point is 00:39:39 You watch a lot of documentaries? No. No. No. I liked that one. I just wanted to, in my head I was like, make sure you do a movie wreck. Yeah. In the podcast.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Make sure you clear up the Nile Horn thing. Yeah, you were stressed about that. I could feel it. You never even texted me about it, though. And asked Jake how he feels about Sally ending. I was sad. I think you know when to end a bit, too, though. I do.
Starting point is 00:40:10 You stop doing your impressions for a period, and then, like, you'll bring them back here and there. Just to remind people why I'm here. Where you came from. Yeah, just to remind people. I respect that. You watching any TV right now? Right.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Um, what am I watching? No, I'm not. Watching any movies right now? I just watch backrooms. Oh! I watched that too. Um. You know the guy who's making my show, his wife produced it.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Very cool. Yeah. Not that you give a fuck. Can I make, like, a small cameo? Tucker, I would be honored. Yeah. Just thought you'd be too busy for me now. Yeah, I think it'd be fun.
Starting point is 00:40:50 You want to make a small cameo in episode, one. Maybe I could be like a janitor or something. And I go and you're kind of like walking out of the school and I'm like, hey kid. And you'd turn around and like happy pride. And then like a song plays and it's like a beautiful moment. What song do you want to play of yours? Of mine. I'm just saying like a song plays after I say happy pride. Like maybe it's what would be a pride friend. song like born this way hey kid happy pride and then born this way starts playing yeah yeah that'd be cool i think it'd get yeah do you how's your love life horrible what's going on talk to me about it um okay well i mean i guess if we're just gonna i was seeing this guy we went on one date and then he was like
Starting point is 00:41:46 never mind and then i listened to thank you next uh all the way through until Until the end of my car ride back from Boston with Louise. And Louise. On a train right to Boston. And I'm telling you, baby, this is the part where I run. It's the part where they run. That part. That messed.
Starting point is 00:42:14 What's next? Oh, yeah, we did American Idol one time on here. Do you want me to sing for you? Yeah, let's bring. Just bring back old bits. We need. But I don't even understand. He's nervous, too.
Starting point is 00:42:26 It's not just me. I'm not nervous. I'm just like, is this our final bow? This is our final bow. Like you think people are going to be, I like Tucker, I've been feeling that way lately. But I just, I do, I get annoyed when a mass army on Twitter all of a sudden, like, pretends to care about something. Have you experienced that ever? I don't think so, but I think this is the album where I'm sure I'm sure it's like the point.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Oh, you think it's over? Post Sally, I think people are going to be like, let's take them down. I want to be in a music video. I keep thinking you're going to ask me, and you never do. It's my gay dar. I got to think about that. I don't know if we have. Everyone would love it.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Yeah, I don't know if we have a role for you. I think. It's fine. You hear that a lot. Oh, we could. I'd be so good I know I know I know I dance I know show oh yeah show us
Starting point is 00:43:36 because you've been you told me you've been working on your dance moves I never told you that and I was like I would love to see some of those that you've been working on no I've never told you that well because you're saying that you've like the Pilates and stuff has helped you
Starting point is 00:43:51 with dance and so I'd like to see some of it really this is what we're going to do you're going to make me get up and dance for you? You said you've been working on it. Okay, well, sing a song then. Well, not yet. What song do you want to sing?
Starting point is 00:44:06 You have to tell me so I can prep my dance moves. Maybe you guys sing something for Pride Month. Okay. What are you going to sing? It's original. Here we go. Stand up. Whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:44:20 It's okay to be gay. Whoa, whoa. Oh, it's okay to be. Can we just go back? to the singing bit where I sing for you, like, I don't like the dancing. That was the funniest thing I've seen you do, though. That dance was, like, very cute. Dude, can we just do it one more time?
Starting point is 00:44:46 Whoa, whoa. I wish I could get a camera to show your eyes when you do it. You look at me, and you have, like... Whoa, whoa, it's okay to be gay. Whoa, whoa. It's okay to be gay, whoa, whoa. It's okay to be gay. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Your eyes, I've never seen your eyes light up the way they did. I love to dance. So maybe you, yeah. And I love you. I love you. What are you therapists about today? I'm constipated. And I know that people online are going to clip that and be like,
Starting point is 00:45:48 what the fuck is the show even about? Because they do that all the time. They're predictable. And it's just me. But I'm constipated. And it really sucks. And that's what I'm pissed about. I woke up thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:45:59 I'm thinking about it right now. My friend goes through that. Right, because you don't poop. I don't. I know. That's what I just said. Except when you shit in the river in Maine. That was made up.
Starting point is 00:46:14 I made that up to get clicks. But I personally have never. Never. It's okay. I'm a singer. Uh-huh. I play guitar and I sing and I write music. And I go on romantic dates and stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:30 I wonder I have time to be so disgusting. I guess you don't. I guess I have all the time in the world. I would never. So what are you pissed about? Nothing? Today I just, I'm on my head. I don't like being on my phone.
Starting point is 00:46:44 I know we've talked a lot and we talk a lot about how I don't have anxiety. The only thing that, like, really fucking gets my heart right up is my phone, which... I think you're a tad more anxious. I'm not. I'm just... I get overwhelmed very easily. So what do you do when you get overwhelmed?
Starting point is 00:47:05 Well, now I have a new... My new hobby. And now I fish. Which you faced on me one night when I was fishing. I said I wanted to fish with you. I know. I said, how funny would that be if we went fishing for episode three? I just said we're back here.
Starting point is 00:47:19 That is amazing Fishing It's the best It's quiet, dead quiet And you're by yourself And you have to be focused And you don't think of anything else My mind all of a sudden
Starting point is 00:47:33 Kind of goes blank and I love that Do you listen to music while you fish? No, what? I just said it's dead quiet You hear the birds, you're outside The river Does no one listen to music while they fish? I'm sure someone does
Starting point is 00:47:45 But I'm just saying That would defeat the purpose for me Have you ever a raw dog to flight? I don't know if we talked about this, but I've fainted on flights many times. Because you're diabetic? No. Oh. It's connected, though.
Starting point is 00:47:59 I used to smoke weed a lot. I still do. I'm back on the wagon. It's all right. You look amazing. It's okay. Okay. But I used to smoke weed a lot, and then I kind of stopped smoking, and I just was doing edibles.
Starting point is 00:48:14 And I would fly, and I would take edibles, and sometimes I'd be a little. okay and then sometimes I would have the most insane panic attack where my music my heart rate would start going I would start my whole body would break out into a sweat like a crazy cold sweat I hate a cold sweat and then the music I'm listening to
Starting point is 00:48:39 would like start to distort into like dark like demonic like scary horror sounds and then and then I would get in my head and be like oh my god I'm about to have a seizure I think my blood sugar is low because it's like a similar feeling is that what happens when your blood sugar gets too low you have seizures start like shaking you have and you have and you get like a cold sweat sometimes and like you feel it's to me feeling like too high felt similar to having like a really low blood sugar oh how interesting I would get a panic attack and I would pass out
Starting point is 00:49:15 on the plane and then I'd wake up and the flight attendant would be like Are you okay? Yeah. And you'd be like, oh my God. But how embarrassing would that be now, imagine? Why, because you're famous? Getting recognized and you're like, you faint, running to the bathroom. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:49:31 You fainted on your way to the bathroom. Yeah. It happened multiple times. And now someone would be like, I saw a role model faint on a plane. Oh, my God, I know. It'd be good for the album. I was about to say. Well, congrats.
Starting point is 00:49:45 You just debuted on Billboard. Yeah. I know. It's all right. Jake, hungies. I am hungry. No. I'm not hungry.
Starting point is 00:49:59 It's because I eat too much. You want to phone a friend? Do you still... Call people? Do you still do the thing where you... Was it people called you or left voice mail? No, I would call people. I haven't done it in a while.
Starting point is 00:50:13 So you don't do it anymore. Do you remember the Jalloyne girls? They used to eat up time. we remember you brought up an idea a long time ago of us doing a like a travel show yes i want to do that i i was thinking because i remember you first brought it up to me and i was like no okay and now i'm thinking and then i was thinking about the other day and i do i do think it would be funny do you ever feel like if all goes wrong at least we have each other whoa it's okay to be
Starting point is 00:50:48 Whoa, whoa. It's okay to be gay. Whoa, whoa. Do you sample anything on the new album? No. All originals. It's all originals. So who's the hourglass?
Starting point is 00:51:03 Who? Who's the hourglass? This is not a who. It's just a what time? Chuck timely and time. Chuck timely and the time. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:17 Ha, hopes. What knows I could do some? What are you listening to it? Nothing you like. What do you think about my strokes era? That surprised me that you knew every word to a stroke song. That took me by surprise. That was very cool.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Yeah, I felt cool. That was, yeah. Cool points for that. Oh, Mike says I'm lacking in depth. Hey, welcome. What? Welcome. I'm, I'm, I'm, uh, do you want to just give us your name where you're from and a little
Starting point is 00:51:56 about yourself? I'm Jake. I'm from Kansas City, Kansas City, Missouri. Nice. And I've always had dreams of being a singer. Nice. And says here that, um, you actually walked here. I did.
Starting point is 00:52:12 My bike broke. Oh. It says you walked here to raise money for a foundation. for Pride Month. No, I walked her to audition for American Idol. Oh, okay. So are you ready for me to sing? Yeah, give us whenever you're ready.
Starting point is 00:52:26 Okay. Give us a song suggestion for me. Oh, you're just supposed to bring one in, but whenever you're ready, take your time. Please, please, please, please don't prove I'm right. Please, please don't bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so not.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Well, I can't. Sorry. I actually thought the first part sounded quite good. Yeah, that was awesome. It's Jake, right? Yeah. I think that's awesome. I think you gave up on that song pretty easy.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Okay. Could you give us just a little bit more of something? Okay. And really feel that because you have this rasp in your voice that I really like. Oh, she's raspy today. You ever see that? You ever seen that? I can make your face out.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Bitch! You haven't seen the Jojo Siwa thing where she's like, where she's like, whoa, whoa, she's raspy today. Have you seen the Jojo Siwa Cruz? Yes, yes, yes. Have you seen the Jojo Siwa Cruz? No. That hasn't come across your desk.
Starting point is 00:53:40 She provides us so much entertainment. What do you think about Haunted virus? I don't know what happened to that or something. I mean, listen, let me tell you something. I am an expert in pandemics. I know how to, because I used to play the pandemic, play game on my phone, and I've seen Contagion five times. I just watched Contagion two nights ago.
Starting point is 00:54:04 The best movie of all time. I know, but it really freaks me out because then I stopped touching things. See, I feel like I'm, like, giving you stuff. No? I'm giving you a hauntavirus. I'm singing. I'm dancing. I'm, like, doing a lot for you right now.
Starting point is 00:54:18 What do you want to, should we do the tell me what's wrongs? Tell me what's wrongs? Tucker, don't even fucking play dumb with me right now. I don't even, please. That's what I was asking. Do they still do that? Yes. Okay, let's do that.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Let's do that. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Whoa, whoa. You're a handful. It's okay. Be okay. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:54:40 I'm a kiss and teller. Like sharing every detail with anyone in my life who will listen. I know I probably need to stop or just slow down, but it already caught back up to me. I saw this guy I hooked up with at the bar. I went over to his, went over to him to say hi. and he was being super weird. I asked him, what's up? And he told me that because I started yapping to everyone,
Starting point is 00:54:59 it got back around to his girlfriend. Right. Now it's so messy because, like, we are also good friends. I just need prescriptions. No advice, please. I'm obsessed with her. She's like, I don't want any advice. I know.
Starting point is 00:55:14 What does prescriptions mean? Hooker, please. Like, you what she needs, but she doesn't want advice. Go watch Marvel from start to finish. It takes up a lot of time. And I've done it. You got Captain America. You got Iron Man, he dies.
Starting point is 00:55:32 You got, who else? Spider-Man. Ant-Man. Wonder Woman. No, that's D.C.? Oh, okay. Guardians of the Galaxy. If you were in a Marvel movie, who...
Starting point is 00:55:50 Who would I be? Yeah, I'm sure. I'd be Wanda's friends in WandaVision that are, like, in psychosis. Like housewives? Like a housewife? No. Do you watch housewives? No.
Starting point is 00:56:03 You haven't seen any housewives? No, I'm just, I was asking if her friends are like... No, she'd like... You've never seen Wanda Vision? No. Well, I can't spoil it. It's like literally one of the best shows I've been made. For sure.
Starting point is 00:56:14 For me, you can. Okay, so basically what happened? You're not going to get it because you don't understand vision. All right, forget, forget. I was just trying to spark a conversation and say, hey, what would your superpower be? Oh, what would my... My superpower...
Starting point is 00:56:26 My superpower would be... Telekinesis. I always wanted... You're fucking talking. Yep, yep, yeah. No, I want it. I've always wanted... Hyper speed talking.
Starting point is 00:56:33 I want to control stuff with my hands. Like, that's what I always want to do as a kid. I would always try it as a way like... You know what I mean? I kill myself. I want telekinesis. Telekinesis. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Watch Marvel. Help. My boyfriend and I are talking about getting engaged. I'm so happy. I love him so much. But we strongly disagree on one thing. The ring. He is from a small town and believes that they are a waste of money
Starting point is 00:57:02 and wanting a nice expensive ring is vain. IDKY, but having a nice ring has always been something I've dreamed of. For context, he works at a very good job, so it's not like affording it would be a problem. Am I being shallow and materialistic, or is a ring something worth splurging on? Team ring. What are your thoughts on marriage?
Starting point is 00:57:20 Do you want to get married? Yeah. You do? Mm-hmm. Well, I haven't had a boyfriend yet, still. That's something that hasn't changed. I'm struggling with relationships currently. But do you have dreams of...
Starting point is 00:57:35 Getting married? I want children. I want two babies. Do you want to be married? I don't know, but I know I want babies. You know you want babies. Theodore, Theo for short, and Annabelle. Anna B for short.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Do you want babies? My dream has always been to be a single father and to have a daughter and to raise a daughter by myself. would be really fun. Her name's Winnie. You want to be a single father. I want a daughter that's ideally mine, and then I thank whoever had it for me. Maybe I give them...
Starting point is 00:58:11 Like a surrogate? Maybe a Venmo, sirgit. Shake their hand, thank you. You can see her in a couple, every once a year, if you want. Maybe that would be destructive for the kid, but I just want to raise a child by myself. because then you can kind of just like mold them into your best friend.
Starting point is 00:58:32 It's like your best friend. And you, and it's like you, you know, I just think they'll be really fun. Three, two, one, Wall. Book, wall.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Three, two, one, Bookstore. Three, two, one, bestseller. Three, two, one, crime. Three, two, one, us. Three, two, one, murder. I genuinely believe I am meant to be famous. I have no trained talents, no passion for any celebrity careers,
Starting point is 00:59:19 and I hate the internet, but I still have this weird feeling I was meant for something more. Is this just narcissism or a calling? A calling. So once again, I'm going to use this to make it about us. Do you like being famous? More than, yeah, probably more than anything I've ever liked ever in my entire life. Yeah, I know, I know.
Starting point is 00:59:37 It's probably my favorite thing to ever happen to me. I feel that. Yeah. From you. Do you? I think there's parts of it that I like, but I don't ever want to not be, like, I don't want to not be able to do things because I'm famous.
Starting point is 00:59:56 I don't want to not be able to go places or do things. You have to find other things that bring you joy. My friends. Maybe you could get into fishing. I don't want to fish. Friends, that's true. I like to cook. That's good.
Starting point is 01:00:10 Okay. She's giving me a little. look. I have cooked in the past. Yeah. Do you cook? Yeah, you cook like meat and potatoes and rice. I'd like, I want to see what you are like on dates. I'm so curious. Or it's horrible. Maybe we roll play. Okay, that's fine. A date. Let's do that. Ready? So are you here? Maybe I'm already at the restaurant.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Okay. I sit up for it. Oh, hey. Hi. Hi. I'm so sorry. I'm late. Hi. Tucker. Sorry, I'm just a fucking mess. Jake. Nice to meet. you. Nice to meet you. You spilled my water when you. Oh my God. Have you been here before?

Starting point is 01:01:05 Well... At this? Yeah. Yep. Nice. That's... Do you get a drink? Are you drinking?
Starting point is 01:01:13 I definitely need a while. I'm, like, nervous, actually. Okay. So what do you do? I'm in finance, so I just It's like boring I glad it's going to go so above my head But like explain it
Starting point is 01:01:23 Try to explain it to me So People will bring me numbers And I will pretty much Sort through those And make sure that everything is adding up Correctly But it's boring
Starting point is 01:01:35 I like I feel stupid I should probably not even talk about it right now No continue I think it's charming I don't know It makes good money And like I live off it So it's fine
Starting point is 01:01:45 Do you feel fulfilled? I uh yeah I guess so I don't know this is now you ask what I do So what do you do you're a member here You must like make a million dollars You must make a million dollars I I'm an artist

Starting point is 01:02:23 I feel like everyone's like digital artists now, and so it's cool that you like... I think digital art is definitely cool. I wouldn't rag on digital art. No, I wasn't sorry. No, it's okay, it's okay. I wish I could start over. I'm like...
Starting point is 01:02:36 We can start over. I feel like I'm saying this dumbest shit. No, not... On the fucking date. Dumbass. All right. I'm changing. Hey.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Sorry, I'm so late. Are you Jake? Yeah, I'm Jake. Yeah, I'm sorry. Nice to meet you. Oh, you spilled my... You're... Your soda water.
Starting point is 01:02:54 Yeah, sorry. Do you drink? No, I do. I was just waiting for you. I didn't order yet, but do you drink. Such a gentleman. Yeah, I do drink. What was your drink?
Starting point is 01:03:03 I mean, like, if I wasn't trying to impress you, I'd get a Red Bull vodka, but because we're on a date, I'll get a dirty martini with vodka. Here comes the waiter right now. Oh, hi. Hello. Hello, what can I get you guys? You first. Shoot.
Starting point is 01:03:17 Okay, I didn't look at the drinks. Do you want to just go really quick? Can I get an extra dirty martini? with Grey Goose vodka, please. Of course. And he'll do the same. Yeah, that's fine. Come on right up.

Starting point is 01:03:51 Sorry. Oh, I'm an artist. Like, oh, I will not an artist. I sell art. I'm a galleryist. Oh, wow. Yeah. So I like open galleries and I sell art.
Starting point is 01:04:01 And, um, yeah, it's super fulfilling and interesting and I love it. One day I, I tried to be an artist in my own right and it didn't really work out. And I kind of just love being able to share other people's stories through art. That's really cool. I wouldn't have taken you for an artist. But then I, you do have like paint all over you. I know. I was just, I came from the studio.
Starting point is 01:04:22 That's great. Cool. Yeah. Where are the drinks are taking forever? Diabetes? Uh, no. It's a nicotine patch. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:04:32 I need it, like, straight to my blood. Oh, okay. What's your favorite painting of all time? Favorite painting? Geez, I'm like a numbers guy, so I don't even, the Mona Lisa. I feel stupid. Why is the Mona Lisa, too? Really?

Yeah. What about you? I really, like, liked talking to you for the past, like, week.
Starting point is 01:06:06 And I thought we, like, really connected on, like, a cool level. Sorry, I'm nervous. And it's cool. I just wanted to say, like, I'm really happy, like, we finally got to get drinks. I know you're busy and stuff. We just sat down. No, I know. We're not leaving.
Starting point is 01:06:24 Oh, you're just thinking. Oh, I'm, yeah, I thought you were trying to. I don't know. It's okay. I don't know. I feel stupid. It's got an last question, shall we? So what do you think of our date?
Starting point is 01:06:35 It's good. I wanted to, like, really kind of see how... Okay, so we can continue on the date. I'm just like, you're thanking me for my presence. You're not asking me anything about myself. I wanted to see how you would react to someone being honest to you and being like, hey, thank you for making time for this. Like, I really enjoyed talking to you, and I'm glad we're here.
Starting point is 01:06:51 I'd love to go on a second date with you. You would? Yeah. But I just wanted to say, I don't really, like, I'm not just trying to hook up. Oh. I probably wouldn't want to do that until maybe like our fourth date. Are you okay with that?
Starting point is 01:07:05 Yeah. Let's get to know each other before we hook up. Be real. What? Be real. What do you mean? What would you do if I said that? I'd be like, really?
Starting point is 01:07:21 Am I that ugly that they don't want to kiss me until the fourth date? They're just making shit up at this point. Okay. That's what I would think. I'd be like, oh my God, he didn't even want to kiss me. Maybe you should be more ugly. Maybe you should be more open on your dates, and maybe that's not why you have.
Starting point is 01:07:32 That's why you haven't found fucking love yet, okay? Tucker. Be more open to that. Maybe someone just wants to get to know you before they start. Start what? You missed it. It was really funny. You had to be there.
Starting point is 01:07:50 You had to see it. You'll see it in the cut. Do you want to play pretend in another situation? Should we play improv? Ooh, yeah. Let's do some improv games. Okay, shout out a place. Air one.
Starting point is 01:08:01 So, so. I'll have the sushi. I just took the last one Why did I say that? I'm so sorry You could have it if you want I'm allergic to literally everything else I can only have rice and then like uncooked seafood
Starting point is 01:08:17 So I just It's fine though Like I It's fine Maybe the improv needs to just come to us naturally Maybe the improv is the friends we made Along the way I was seeing an obsession and the theater was packed.
Starting point is 01:08:36 I swear to God, no one would shut the fuck up. I didn't want to make a scene, so I left and told a manager. That's why I don't go to movies. I'm team her. She then came into the theater and stopped the movie. But this bitch walked in right after me, and obviously everyone's eye complained and they booed me. What the fuck is wrong with everyone?
Starting point is 01:08:54 Why were you still in the theater? I know, just leave. Just leave. I was with her until she went back to the theater, but I don't understand. Whatever. I watch movies on my phone. What?
Starting point is 01:09:07 I watch every movie on my phone. You don't go to like a movie theater ever? No, I don't have a TV. Still? I don't have a TV and I have an iPad that's been in a box for a year and a half. So I just watch all my movies. Well, you would be very comfortable. But let me tell you, have you ever watched Interstellar on your iPhone?
Starting point is 01:09:25 Because it's amazing. No. Sounds is perfect. Okay. Well, I... Do you know that everyone had a bit of a scare because they thought I-Pick was closing? It just rebranded the cinemas.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Ooh. I love I pick. I don't know it. What? I don't know it. You know what an I pick is? I don't know. It's a luxury movie theater.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Me personally, I'll be watching that on my phone with the rest of us. I mean, I feel like people have televisions. I mean, I'm a people's person, so I'm just going to check it out on my phone. I'm going to watch... A people's person. I've been doing two on my phone.
Starting point is 01:10:02 Have you ever seen Dune One? Yeah, I saw Dune One. I love Dune 2. I heard Dune 2 is amazing. It's great. I like it when he gets mean. He's going to be really bad on the third one. Timmy?
Starting point is 01:10:12 Mm-hmm. He's going to be a bad guy. Really? Ooh, I'm interested. He's the bad guy? Shaves his head. What? Shaved his head.
Starting point is 01:10:21 He did? For the role. Yeah. He works so much. How did you like being on a movie set? Um, I... I was very, very nervous on my first day. Aw.
Starting point is 01:10:37 Like, haven't been that nervous in years. And then after the first day, it was like... Tucker Pillsbury, call time, 6.30 a.m. My bag. Your bag. I would walk in. Yeah. Hair and makeup.
Starting point is 01:10:52 Hey. Hey. Just me again. Shooting a movie. Yeah. You go through your sides. I know, but, like, I was, like, at that point, I was like, I don't know him. But the first day, it was, like, so.
Starting point is 01:11:04 So scary. And then it was really fun. One last time, I need to be the one who takes you home. One more time, I promise after that I'll let you go. Baby, I don't care if you got her in your heart. All I really care is you wake up in my arms. One more time. Oops, I need to be the one.
Starting point is 01:11:39 That live tonight, like my fucking hole is going to split open. Oh, my God. Like my hole is literally going to evaporate. Oh, my word. Like, you know it's true, too. Woo! I'm so excited. I'm like sweating for it.
Starting point is 01:12:02 Jake. Oh, my God. The next one. you know how long it took me to understand what nix in five meant do you want me to explain it to you no i know now so what does it mean people they're in game five no there's it's best of seven so if the nicks won so that's why people were like nicks and four because if they won the first four they won four out of the seven games and they win the championships but because they lost the third then it became nixen five nope but then people were saying nix and six
Starting point is 01:12:35 So, but it became Nixon 5 once they won the fourth game that I was at. It's like, I can't. I didn't know what it meant for a long time, and it was just, it was also so weird to see so many people all of a sudden, like you, caring about sports. I'm from New York. All of a sudden, where are you from in New York? Washington Heights.
Starting point is 01:13:01 I think that's valid. I think that's hometown pride, but I just, it was like weird. It was just so weird. all of a sudden, everyone cared about basketball. It was so strange to me. Because it's summer. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:34 It's community. I just, I'm not in that. It's like, oh, my God, that's all cheer and dance. It's like we're at a concert. But they're playing sports. There's no, dancing. There's dancing. I'd probably be into it. Yeah, no, there is. I post Nixon 5 on my story like everyone. You did? No, I said I would if there was dancing. It's that, like, my Panera commercial ran during the next commercial, I screamed. I know. I told you. I've heard good things, but I haven't seen it. Have ever had friendlies? Yeah, I used to go there for my birthday as a kid.
Starting point is 01:13:50 That's where I wanted to go every single time. You know, that's one of my favorite restaurants in the entire world. Where are they now? They're gone. All of them? No, there's some left. We should go to one. I used to love it.
Starting point is 01:13:59 They have the crazy ice cream sundaes. Yeah, with the face? The face. Yeah. The milk, the mint chocolate one? Yeah. Please call me with Tucker. I have nothing to look forward in life besides this.
Starting point is 01:14:14 That's it? Oh, call. Oh, we got a phone number. I talk. Hey, this is Jake Shane's assistant. Real quick. I'll be right back. Oh.
Starting point is 01:14:31 Interesting. We saw that you submitted to call when Tucker was on the show. So we just wanted to give you a ring because we have Tucker on the show now. Shut the fuck up Are you lying? Yeah, do you want to talk to him? Are you him? I'm not lying.
Starting point is 01:14:48 Yeah, I am. Oh my God, hi. Hi. Is this fake or is this real? FaceTime her. Face it's high! I didn't know I was supposed to FaceTime you. Do I do that?
Starting point is 01:15:00 Oh, you can if you want, but I mean... I'm uncomfortable. I don't know. That's okay. Oh my God, wait, this is crazy. I feel like I submitted that years ago. So you keep them on hand? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:15:13 Nolan pulled them out. Hi. Jake's here. Oh, my God. Is that Jake? Yes. Hi. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:15:22 What's your name? Mandy, it's so nice to meet you. So nice to meet you. Oh, my God. I'm going to cry. This is crazy. Wait, I'm so happy. You're so happy.
Starting point is 01:15:34 I'm so happy. Well, how's your day going? It's good. I literally was just telling my friend that I was manifesting going to meet you in New York City. Oh, my God. Wait. Are you from New York? No, I'm from Minnesota, but like, I, I'm going to New York to see Harry Styles in September.
Starting point is 01:15:55 So I was like, I'm going to manifest to see Jake. Well, now I feel really bad because Tucker called. He's upset. But, like, this is crazy, though. I mean, like, how is his Bonner set? Was that amazing? Oh, my God. See, she's locked in, Tucker.
Starting point is 01:16:07 I don't even want to talk to her now. Tucker, stop. Okay, he's being a diva, but that's okay. No, we've had nothing to talk about this entire time. It's been dead silent. Oh, my God. That's so funny. Wait, this is so crazy.
Starting point is 01:16:23 This, like, just made my entire life. Oh, my God. This is insane. I wasn't going to answer because I thought it was spam, because everything's spam nowadays. Everything is spam nowadays. Like, literally, it's insane. It's insane.
Starting point is 01:16:37 Probably spam. You got a call it. Did this say probably spam? No, it didn't. Right, because it's Nolan. Maybe it's like, I thought it was like my insurance agent calling to give me a quote, but, like, it wasn't. So this is even better.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Oh my God. Tucker, tell her. You go ahead, sorry. No, you go ahead. What were you saying? No, nothing. I mean, like, I'm just in shock. I'm in disbelief.
Starting point is 01:17:02 Do you want FaceTime? I mean, like, I look like a bald eagle, but sure. Hi! Hi, Tucker. It's so nice to meet you, even though you don't look that happy. Tucker. Perk up a bit. Seriously.
Starting point is 01:17:23 Why did you? react to him the way you did and not me. Okay, I was going to say because it's Jake Shane, but like, also it's Tucker. Wait. You want, can I send you some
Starting point is 01:17:38 cachas? Yes, wait, yeah. I'll send you some cauchess. That's my girl. I'm excited. If ever you want to come back to me, yeah. I will. I love you, Mandy. I love you. Is it okay if my screenshot? Is that fine?
Starting point is 01:17:53 Yeah. Say smile, Tucker. Okay. Okay, thank you so much for calling. This was insane. Oh, my God, I'm so happy. Maybe we'll run into each other when you go see Harry Styles in New York. You want to give a little...
Starting point is 01:18:07 Chances are not. Of course. Do you want to get a little bye pussies? Bye pussies. Oh my God, this is crazy. Love you. I love her. Oh, my God, I got so excited that I dropped my cards. God, I missed that.
Starting point is 01:18:27 God, I should start calling people more. How much time have we done? What are you thinking about? Three, two, one. FaceTime. Three, two, one. Kindle. Three, two, one.
Starting point is 01:18:50 iPad. Thank you guys so much. My album comes out, August 7th. Chuck timely in the hourglass. And I'm going on tour and hitting the road right after. I'll see you there. Wait, what did we learn today? I think people will use my name to get to you.
Starting point is 01:19:08 I mean, Mandy came to my Minneapolis show. I think it's shallow. She didn't even have, she'd never even been to my show. No, she said, how was your Bonaroo show? Yeah, she didn't see it. She wasn't there. She was asking how it was. Well, not everybody can get to Bonaroo.
Starting point is 01:19:21 If I could get to Bonneroo, I'd go to Bonner. Not everyone can get to a Jake Shane show, but she could. Well, because I stop in every city. So do I. Really? Yeah, when I'm on tour. Okay, I'm sure you do. I'm just saying, don't trust everyone.
Starting point is 01:19:33 I don't trust everyone. I don't trust everyone. That's what I learned. My girl. And you got way, and you were way too into that too. I was excited. I know, but I saw you, you got hard from, like. What?
Starting point is 01:19:47 The excitement, like, did something to your body. I'm gay. Half of this episode was about how I'm gay. Full body chills. You had, like, in a adrenaline rush, and your face was, I've never seen someone put their mouth so close to a fucking camera. That poor girl saw your fucking tonsils. I love you, Jake.
Starting point is 01:20:03 I love you. Give me a big hug. And thank you so much. Wait, you have to say bye pussies. Bye pussies.
