50-50 if my zippers up or down anymore.
Take my pants off at home.
They come off easy.
I'm like, I thought was four hours I was walking around.
Netflix is a joke presents.

I think it's because I'm peeing so much longer.
I watch young people come and go.
I'm like, tell my family I'm okay.

Hi Pussies. Welcome back to Therapus. I just wrapped tour. I literally just landed. I am so exhausted, but I'm so happy to be home. I had such an incredible time on tour, meeting all of you guys and like making you guys laugh. Like hearing you guys laugh in real time was like the greatest gift I could have ever received. It was so, it was like a once in a lifetime experience. And I had so much stage right before. And I think it kind of.
one away, but it definitely dissipated a bit.
So I'm really happy I conquered that.
And you guys just made it so easy.
You made me so comfortable.
And every environment of every show was just so awesome.
And everyone was so nice to each other.
And I only, during the meet and greets, I would hear people tell me that they made friends.
And it was just so lovely.
And I'm so grateful.
So to anyone that came to live with Jake Shane, thank you so much.
It was so, it was a life-changing experience.
And obviously, thank you to Matt, Louise.
Manny, Meg, John, Ethan, Omead, any, the entire crew for the entire tour.
Thank you so much.
They couldn't have been done without you and you guys really made it what it was.
This week on Therapus B of Haim, who just released their fourth studio album, I Quit, which is incredible.
I'm not even just saying that.
It is really so amazing.
I was literally listening to Cry on the way here, which is my favorite song off the
album, but I just adore them.
I literally am obsessed with them.
They are so funny, awesome, and talented, and just such good people.
They are also about to embark on their I quit tour.
If you want to get tickets, it's there.
It's literally amazing.
I'm so sorry, I'm so out of it.
I haven't eaten all day, and I just landed, and I literally am not a person yet.
But I love you guys.
Thank you so much for everything.
Hopefully I will be able to go on tour again one day.
Yeah, enjoy the episode.
To submit and tell me what's wrong, go to pass that post.com and leave a name and number if you're feeling fancy.
Okay, enjoy the episode.
Love you, Bussies.
I can't believe we're dope so much.
I know.
I'm so happy from our dinner, from our dinner at Little Dog.
I know.
That was a long dinner.
I know.
But we had a lot to talk about.
We had a lot to talk about.
We talked a lot about Bravo.
Are you still watching?
I make a rule, because we were just.
talking about tour. Are we doing this right now? Are we in? Oh, God, we're in. Okay, we're going to
love it. Um, I make a rule that I stop watching Bravo when I know I'm about to go on tour because
I want to bank episodes so I can binge. So I have fallen off so hard, but I am the biggest
housewives fan, but I'm, I'm literally, we're leaving like tonight. I'm leaving tonight. And I'm
going to watch so, because I also get low key airplane anxiety. Oh, really? I get kind of nervous on,
I don't, it's like kind of like a new thing.
I get nervous on planes now.
And so I like need comfort shows.
Right.
So it's like a lot of below deck, a lot of summer house.
I have so much summer house to catch up on all the housewives.
Or you can just get a VPN, which is what I've done.
Do those work?
Yes.
What is a VPN?
I don't know.
But it's the thing that allows me to watch TV shows that I watch in the States
that I can't watch overseas.
I feel like you are the only sister that knows how to do this.
I don't know how to do that.
I know how to do it.
I would be the one.
I, because I, you have restraint.
If I want to watch something, I want to, I need to watch it.
What do you watch it?
I'm what, well, on, because we don't have, we don't have HBO.
We don't have HBO overseas.
Right.
I love The Last of Us.
I'm not caught up.
I'm not cut up to say anything.
Well, what episodes are you on?
I watched the, there was an episode last night.
And was it good?
So good.
Don't say anything.
Okay, fine, I won't.
You just, you just started the sentence with, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know.
I don't want to know where they go.
What episode did you make it to?
Have you even started season two?
Again, I'm binging.
So, like, I haven't even started season two.
How have you not even heard anything?
Because I haven't started.
Okay, and it's one of my favorite shows to you guys.
I'm very, I'm.
I love Pedro Pescal.
Me too, more than anything.
Yes.
I love him more than anything.
And also Bella Ramsey is so fucking good.
So yeah, this is like, it's my truly like my Super Bowl.
I get in my, I get like, under my covers and my little clamshell.
I have,
I like take a fuck ton of insulin
and then I eat a bunch of sour patch kids.
This is like the one day,
it's like I save up the diabetes points.
For Sunday, I sit,
I watch The Last of Us,
and then I watch 90 day fiancé.
I've never seen 90 day fiance.
I have never seen.
That's where we lose them.
That's where we lose them.
I just don't believe it.
It's not real.
It's not real.
What do you mean?
It's not real.
It's not real.
It's not.
No.
It's not.
I mean.
What does that mean?
I don't know.
It's, I think, I just think that like, it's, it's the most scripted, non-scripted shows that I've
ever seen. Like, I can tell that they're acting, at least on other shows. Like, I know, like,
they're being produced. Like, housewives. Housewives. Yes. Like, I know they're being produced.
But we want them to be produced. We want it. But this is, like, blatant, like, okay,
character A is going to say to character B this. How can you tell? The acting is.
not there. I also love that we've all,
all three of us have never seen the show, so we're just
taking your word for it. We're like, oh, okay. Well, when
you watch it, you can take notes.
And everything, you said that it's not real. I just,
but I, but I just love
the love the love story.
Because it's, it's, it's, you've 90
days to figure out if you want to get
married. You love a time limit.
Do they ever get married? Sometimes they do.
Sometimes they do. And sometimes they have
kids. Sometimes it like lasts
for like, there's like 90 day fiancee
babies. What? Yes.
children, like in their teens, maybe even.
Maybe that's not teens.
No, it's on TLC.
Checks out.
But it's on, which means it's on HBO.
Yes.
Wait, TLC's HBO.
Yes.
Well, HBO is now finally renamed HBO.
It's Max.
I know, sorry, sorry, sorry.
No, it's back now.
Oh, now it's back to HBO?
It's the HBO Max.
But it just says Max on my level out.
No, no, no, it's about to change.
It's about to change.
It just read about this.
Okay, okay.
For such an HBO fan, I can't believe you didn't know.
It's a huge news.
Sorry, guys.
Huge years.
I did not read the Indo newsletter.
Where do they explain that HBO Max is now HBO Max?
No, it was like, it was, it was confusing.
It was easy to miss, but it was there.
Okay, great.
Sorry, I've been, I've been so, like, tunnel vision, well, last of us.
That's all I've been thinking about.
It's all I've been watching.
I love that show so much.
Did you see Bella Ramsey's when they did take on me?
You guys, is this a spoiler?
No, no, no, no.
When Bella Ramsey.
Oh, oh, no.
Yes.
Well, it's on a spoiler.
When they sang it on the guitar.
Yes.
Okay, this is a spoiler because I have no idea.
Well, it's on, yeah, it is on the show.
Uh-huh.
Yeah, she sees it.
No, trust me, that's not a spoiler.
It's over.
I actually got, like, the biggest spoiler spoiled for me.
You guys, you did?
What do you mean?
Yeah, I was sitting at dinner with, no, I won't because I would never dare.
But I was sitting at dinner with my roommate Brett, and she was like, can you believe that happened?
I was like, oh.
Don't you hate when that happens?
You're like, no, I can't believe because I didn't know.
No, I'm like, and it was the ultimate spoiler.
Oh no.
For that show?
Yeah.
Oh, I know exactly what you're talking about.
Don't say it.
I won't, but it is tragic.
Tragic.
Well, guess what I'm going to be wearing?
Just you guys know.
Also, we are fucked up in the game.
I'm going to be some kooky things.
My brain is scrambled eggs.
Are you guys just in like album mode?
We are in album mode officially.
And what's that like?
It's crazy.
I mean, the thing is, like, this is a lot different to our last album
because with Women in Music Part 3,
we made it, it came,
we announced the album.
We announced the album March, like, 6.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, March 2020.
Yeah.
We were like, our album's coming out.
We were like, our album's coming out.
We were like, our album's getting out.
We were so excited.
We announced day, and we, like, it's coming out.
And then, obviously, we all know what happened.
I'm looking at that.
On my birthday.
We obviously know what happened.
No, your birthday was March 13th.
March 14th.
Couldn't be worse.
I know.
Because at least March 13th,
you could be like, well, at least it's my birthday.
And then like March 14th.
You're in it now.
Can you imagine?
I literally baked myself a little cupcake.
I had, I found, I literally found like a candle, like a random candle that I got from
IKEA lit it.
I ordered a balloon.
Thank God Postmates was like still working that day.
Right.
I ordered balloons for myself.
And you were alone.
We were isolated.
Yeah, we were isolated.
Yeah, because we.
No one knew.
Yeah.
Everyone was like, oh, we are.
We also had just come back from New York.
So like New York, it was like, everyone needs to quarantine.
I was in New York during that.
I had to fly into New York.
Me too.
Oh my goodness.
I got COVID.
During that first round.
Yeah.
So we were, so we were.
Do you lose your taste?
Taste smell.
I remember like, I think something about talking like about COVID.
Like, I don't know.
It feels weird.
It feels weird.
It's the weird time of my life.
I don't like it.
I don't like it.
I don't like.
Is it making you uncomfortable?
No, but I was just, I was going to say that like so, okay.
I don't like, I'm like, I don't like, I'm like,
I'll change the subject.
No.
No, but what I was going to say, so like that happened.
Our album comes out during the pandemic, and then we had to wait two years to tour.
So basically, like the world of women and music part three lasted like almost five years.
Were you super over it by the end?
No, I wanted to keep going.
Because we, I mean, not to talk about COVID anymore, but when we were in it, we, I fully thought like live music is never going to come back.
Right, ever.
I was like, I can't even believe that we had live music before.
And now it's just, I don't think it's ever going to come out.
Like, it's not going to come back.
And so, like, that heartbreak every day because there was no information.
Like, we, no one knew the answer.
And so when we actually had the opportunity to go back on tour, I was like,
we were so happy.
Yeah.
Once in a while.
When you believe.
I was like, I was Anne Hathaway in the Princess Diaries.
Thank you.
I needed that.
Again, my references are going to be really hard to get by it.
That's why SD's here.
I got you.
So with this, it's like our album is coming out and then we're immediately going on tour.
So I'm like ecstatic.
I'm like, this is.
So you can like ride the wave instead of like riding one wave sitting and then waiting for the next one.
Yeah, this is like a more normal way of releasing a record.
It's like you put it out and you tour it and then we'll see what happens.
You know what I mean?
Do you guys get along on tour or do you ever fight?
We do.
No, no, no, we do.
Because we're also just so tired.
I can't imagine you guys fighting.
Oh, we fight.
We're human.
We're human.
Essie thought that I stole her jacket this morning.
S.
C rolled up to my house.
She just brought this jacket.
And I also knew.
It's such a cute.
It is a really cute jacket.
Essie had brought this jacket to my house.
I knew that it was important.
If I know, first of all, I always never touch Essie's things because
Essie's very particular about her things.
You learn people's triggers, you know, and you go on with life.
I knew she loved this jacket.
I was not touching this jacket.
Right.
Okay.
She shows up to my house today.
She goes, where's my jacket?
I'm speaking for you.
Where's my jacket?
And I go, I used a sentence that my mom has used since I was a child.
I was like, did you leave it here?
And she goes, yeah, I left here.
And I go, well, it didn't walk out of the house.
I went, it didn't walk out of the house.
And let it be known.
It was nicely hanged on a clothing rack.
Hung.
Hung.
But again, you guys, bear with me.
Also, I'm getting coffee in a second.
I think that was what she just went out to go back.
To the viewers, I'm getting coffee.
I will, my go-go juice is on its way.
So, okay, when you did Woman of Music Part 3 tour,
did that coincide with when you opened for Taylor at the Ares tour,
or was it?
No, we did the West Coast and it was so fun because we got to watch the show every night.
I'm so jealous.
We got to watch it like 10 times in a row.
I mean, I saw you guys three nights in a row.
I saw, I went to L.A. three nights in a row.
It was the best.
Yeah.
That was also the first time I'd ever been.
No, straight up.
It was the best tour.
I mean, we got to be on the.
1989 tour, which was also the best tour of my life.
I didn't get to see it.
I didn't get to see it.
I didn't get to see it.
I didn't see live music at all
until I, like, started, like, making money of my own.
Wait, what was your first concert?
Same with that.
Really?
Like, I went to a music festival.
I would go to, like, that's what I would save all my money for.
So, like, for governor's ball,
I'd be like, okay, I'm going to buy a three-day pass to Gov Ball.
And then I would see, like, like,
I think the only concert I saw was Azelia Banks when I was 14.
So funny.
Yeah.
Like right when 2-1-2 came out?
No, no, no, no.
It was way after.
It was right when broke
with expensive taste came out.
Oh, okay.
Terminal 5.
Yes.
Well, we copied passes
and we also just
snuck in.
Like, we would climb over fences.
Right.
We would climb up trees.
At the Greek,
there's a whole,
like, you can,
you heard it here first.
I don't know,
but this is also back,
we, like,
they might have more security now.
So when I was in high school,
we would climb the trees
in the back of the Greek
and just watch the shows.
Oh,
That's amazing.
Inside a tree.
Saw so many good shows.
I wasn't old enough.
I feel like Kesha came along.
Kesha had taught us how to do all this stuff.
Yes.
She would just be like.
No fear.
We've been friends with Kesha.
Yeah.
Kesha.
We've been friends with Kesha since 2004.
Oh, what?
Wait, you told me this.
I'm like forgetting that we had a three hour dinner.
She's the best.
She met her the week she moved to L.A. when she was like 17.
When Kesha moved to L.A. from Nashville.
We, oh.
The second time this has happened this week.
Well, you really let it chill, too.
I know.
I liked your style with it.
You didn't.
Because for me, I'd be like, oh, no, oh, no.
And you just let it right.
Did you tap the top?
No, am I supposed to do that?
Yes, that gets rid of it.
You tap the top.
Did these, like, get delivered in a hurricane?
Oh, no.
In a cyclone.
It's okay.
It's okay.
You know, it's okay.
I like this attitude.
Yeah, it's okay.
It's okay.
We're just going to clean it up and it's going to be fine.
It's okay.
Thank you.
I'm sorry.
I don't know.
Okay, so you've been friends with cats
since 2004.
Yes.
We've been friends with Keshe since 2004.
I met her at a, like, a street festival in Silver Lake.
Mm-hmm.
Chaka Khan was playing.
Shaka Khan was playing.
She was like, I want to go see Shaka Khan.
I was like, I want to go see Shaka Khan.
And so we...
But you're holding this like a cigarette.
Oh, yeah.
You're gay Pride Straw.
I see his little as she's like, let me tell you.
So I went to go see Shaka Khan.
Let me tell you about it.
I don't tell you.
Actually, this would be a really sick...
Right.
Like, cigarette.
Like, Marla deville.
So, we went together.
Let me help you.
Held hands.
We held hands.
How'd you guys meet though?
You just like ran into it.
Literally at the festival.
Like at the festival.
One random mutual friend that I was seeing there.
It was called the Sunset Junction Festival.
Yeah.
I wish you was still.
Yeah.
Sure.
Yeah.
I'm like mom.
Thank you.
Let's get out of the shot.
Okay.
Yeah, I had one mutual, like we had one mutual friend.
I saw her and I was like, oh.
It was like love at first sight.
It was love at first sight.
completely.
Like, have you ever had that with someone when you, like, you see someone and you're like,
I know that this is going to be my best friends.
Yes.
And then they are.
And then they are.
And then they are. And so all of my friends had moved to New York to go to college.
So I had no friends.
Dan Alana, we're in high school.
Right.
I had no one.
And I meet this girl.
And literally she was like, first of all, we go see Shrek Khan.
And then she goes, I just stole a bottle of gold shlogger from the liquor store.
Do you want to just drink gold slugger with me outside of my apartment?
and I was like, I never asked.
Yeah, I thought you would never ask.
That's kind of amazing.
So we got drunk on Goldschlager outside of her apartment on Sunset Boulevard.
And then like there was a party at her apartment complex.
There was like a gravitron outside of her because it was a street first.
She was like leaving on the apartment.
Anyway.
So and then from there.
She just taught us how to be confident.
We just hung out.
And then I would bring Danielle and Alana to go hang out with Kasha also.
And then we all became friends.
Right.
And then I met all of Keshe's friends.
And we just became this gaggle of gals that would run around Echo Park, sinking in everywhere.
I mean, Alana was, like, 13.
I had braces.
Dingell was 17 still in high school.
And, like, I got them both fake IDs.
I also had a fake ID when you were 13.
I had a fake, well, also, my fake idea when I was 13 was not like, it was an ID that both
Essie and Danielle had found on the floor.
No, it was a real ID.
It was a real ID that you guys had found on the floor to have, like, passed through all.
the siblings.
But it said, I was, again, 13.
It said that I was 27.
Yeah.
I'm sorry.
And it worked.
It worked.
I feel like things used to work way better back then.
It's true.
It was before scanners and all that stuff.
The scanner.
That's the issue.
It's what you're sneaking into shows today.
You can't scan a new barcode.
It was just like a bartender or like a security guard.
Like looking and like looking at you and being like, am I going to be mean or am I
going to be nice?
Right.
Like sometimes it really did not work.
obviously I had braces like Essie would be like don't open your mouth yeah but yeah no it was it was a
wild fun time he had so much fun she taught us how to like sneak into concerts and stuff it was really just
like the Hollywood Bowl was especially like easy at the time wait I don't think it is any more though
there was let me break it down yeah okay do are you this I don't think it's around anymore it's not
don't try because it's not around anymore I don't think it's around anymore this was 15 to 20 years ago
Yes.
Like we,
so we snuck in to see the strokes and Tom Petty.
Oh,
that's amazing.
At the ball.
Okay,
the best night of my life.
And so this is what I remember happening.
Back in the day,
if you went early enough,
it was unlocked.
Okay.
This door leads to like,
like an electrical closet.
Got it.
Scary.
Yeah.
There's tarantulas.
There's like tarantulas.
There's poisonous things in there,
whatever.
But if you can brave it,
which we did,
because we had no money
and I really just wanted to see the strokes.
Mm-hmm.
And Tom Petty.
You walk.
call it 20 paces.
On your left-hand side, there's a door.
It's the door for the bathroom.
Yeah.
The women's bathroom in the bowl.
You open it.
You're in.
How close are you guys to the stage?
Well, that was the point you don't have tickets.
So you kind of have to like maneuver.
This is the issue that they had with bringing me around is that I have a face for you're not supposed to be here.
Like I don't know.
Even to this day, like, even to this day, like, I have crazy, like, I just, I, I have no poker face.
Like, and I've seen it.
Like, I start getting, like, very, I see and Danielle cool, common collective.
Like, what just happened with the peach vibe?
Like, it was like, we're going to be fine.
Yeah, yeah.
Don't worry about it.
We're going to get in.
And I think that, in my mind, I'm like, I look so cool right now.
Like, I'm going to be, I'm just going to get in.
But, like, what's happening out here is, like, I'm literally, like, shaking.
No, want to start sweating.
Right, right, right.
Like, something's wrong.
They're like, you guys are cool.
Cool, what's up with your friend?
What's happening over here?
What does not belong?
It all came to a head.
We went to see Prince at the forum.
Before like the forum was redone.
Yeah, before the forum was redone.
It was an actual arena.
It was an arena and they just, I mean, honestly,
they just really put in like a better sound system.
Got it.
At least that's what I think it was.
There wasn't like a huge, it didn't, it still has like its charm.
Yeah, it does.
Like it's like forum charm.
But like it just wasn't, you know.
But we like brought our parents.
It was like us and our parents.
We bought nose leads.
Our parents didn't know.
We bought like nosebleed, nosebleed.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We were like up in the rafters.
But our parents also did not know what we were doing as children.
They didn't know that we were at this point because we went to the show, what year?
This was like way later in 2009.
Yeah.
We had been like 10.
We had been like sneaking into places.
My parents had no idea.
They would have been mortified.
They would have, we would have killed us.
They would have been like, you're going to get arrested.
Or like, what are you doing?
Right, right.
What are you doing?
So we're like in literally like, we got tickets and it was like in the nosebleeds.
And then at the, basically at the end of the show, I feel like you can do a better prince.
I don't want to.
Well, I have the birds I view.
Any of us can do a prince impression.
I'm not even going to try.
But what I will do is I will say what he said, which was if all the hot ladies in the audience, I want you on stage right now.
And when I do.
tell you. Okay, so like, now let's like go to like my perspective. So like I'm sitting here,
my sisters just sitting next to me. I hear this happening. I look. I see my sisters. I turn back
to Prince and I go back. They're gone. Yeah. We have. They have sprinted. Right. Sprinted. What do they do?
They like me because they knew you're going to keep what, you're going to hold us back. Right.
You're going to hold us back. My parents, also my parents basically held my arm and they were like,
you are not going. And I was like, here we go. How old were you? I mean, I was like in my team.
You, I think we're still in high.
I was in 2009.
I was a junior.
Yeah, you were a senior in high school.
So I am watching my sisters.
Like, literally, it's like a ballet.
Right.
They're going like this down.
To give you some, just for what I was wearing,
I was wearing Jeffrey Campbell Litas.
Oh yeah.
Do you know what those are?
You know what they are.
If you saw them, you know what they are.
Can someone describe?
The platforms that are laced up.
Oh, yes, I know what a job.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know what I just.
They're like ankle boots.
Right.
Okay.
They were, I mean, I saved up all my money.
But again, not really conducive to like sprinting.
Right.
Yeah.
No, no.
I was worried about my ankles.
Me and Danielle, but did not care, we sprint down the stairs.
And then at the forum, there's like, there's like the, like, seated seats up top.
And then there's just like general seating on the bottom.
But in order to get down there, you have to get past a security guard.
Right.
We don't do that.
I literally swing like monkey bars.
Me and Danielle both swing down.
onto the floor with my hands land on both feet.
It's like Mission Impossible.
You were literally like parkour.
To be fair, it was like, it was so chaotic because everyone in the arena was like,
I want to be on stage with Prince.
Yeah.
So everyone kind of doing the same thing.
Right.
So like, I would see a security guard go that way and I'd be like,
damn, we have to go to the same.
Yeah.
I was like, yeah.
And then finally we get to like the purple velvet ropes.
Uh-huh.
And I'm like, we're on the floor.
We're in like there was like the VIP.
It was like the beehive.
but for Prince.
Yeah.
The Peahive, if you were.
Yeah.
It was the Peahive.
So we're in the Peahive.
And I'm watching this first idea.
My parents are having a heart attack.
They're like, what is going on?
But to be fair.
We did it.
We made it.
You got on stage?
No, no.
We made it.
I see this happening.
This is what happens.
I'm watching Esty like a hug because I'm like, Danielle.
Okay, here's the difference between Esty and I.
Once we get into the circle, I'm like, we made it.
We did it.
I'm like, fine.
I'm like,
I want to somehow just camouflage,
like I'm just going to watch
the rest of the show
from this inner cert,
like from the soul.
Right, right.
No.
ST wants to end,
he said,
come on stage.
ST is determined.
He said,
hot ladies,
come on stage.
That's the difference between you and I.
I was like,
she is,
it's honestly kind of like
Mission Impossible.
Like you literally were like,
I was like triangulating.
Yeah.
So there was like a production table.
You know about production.
There's a production.
table and then the stage.
Right.
Okay.
I'm like, I have these Litas.
They're given me six inches.
If I can get onto the production table,
I can then hop on stage.
Right.
I can hop on stage.
Were there people on stage at this point?
Yes.
They were getting people were pulling.
And me and D.
And me and Dian were like, oh my God, please like give me your hand.
No one was looking at us.
So I was like, I need to take matters into my own hands.
So I have, I'm like, okay.
I think I've done the math correctly.
I'm going to put one foot on this table, one hand on this stage, hoist myself up.
Great.
I do that.
One Lita on the table, one hand on the stage, hoist myself up.
She sees glory.
I'm like, and I am watching it.
D'L is like 20 feet away from me watching everything because she doesn't want to get on stage.
Then I just get a hand.
I see the security guard just clock up.
clock, like, and clock me hand in face.
I fall backwards into more security.
Like basically what is happening like next to me.
And I fall, I'm like an angel falling from grace.
It's like that.
I'm like, lay out.
I'm literally like this.
And then they take, they like take me like this.
They basically like handcuff her.
Yeah.
They like hold me like this.
And then I kid you not, I'm going like this.
There's like two security guards like this.
I'm like hobbling.
I'm like, no, let me.
Let me, Danielle!
Danielle!
And meanwhile, I'm, like, dancing, but then also, like, everyone else in the circle's like,
who is that woman?
Do you know that woman?
And I'm like, no.
Danielle literally could not have to give a lot of a show.
Watching my parents, having my mom is, like, crying, like, oh, Donna.
She's going to jail.
Like, my parents are like, what is going on?
They were like, what were you going to do to prince?
What were you going to do?
I was like, what are you talking about?
He said hot girl.
You were like, Estigo's like,
Ouch, he said hot ladies on the stage,
Ouch.
I took it personally.
I tried to barter my insulin pump.
I was like, you can have my insulin pump.
Just please let me go back out there.
They kept me back there, like, in quarantine.
How late into the show was this?
There was probably like,
It was like another couple songs.
Yeah.
But I missed Raspberry Beret.
I really wanted to see.
But you know what?
It was glorious.
You take chances.
You take chances.
I do.
Me and Danielle don't take chances.
People would say yes, have a,
Are you the most adventurous out of?
100%?
Yes, absolutely.
I think I take the most risks, that's for sure.
Yes, I would say yes.
Especially in, we need it, like, out of the three, like, what our jobs are in high.
I'm like, Esty is the one that's like, we can do this.
We're going to do this.
You just need to go.
We just need to go, do it.
Those are things that can happen.
Then it's a no.
Yes.
Right.
I wish I felt like.
For me and Noah's like, I am going to crawl into a ball.
Like, I can't take rejection.
Well, no can be chic sometimes.
Really?
No, can be...
Well, if you're saying it.
Oh, no, it's so chic when you're saying it.
No, when you're saying, I'm just saying hearing, it makes me feel sad.
No, no, no.
But it was a complete sentence.
I always try to...
No, it was a complete...
And it's the shortest, shikest word in the English language.
But you...
Maybe SD hears no.
S.E. Here's no and is like, I'm going to get on stage with Prince.
Yeah, now I really want to go on stage with Prince.
Now I really want to do it.
I almost did.
And then from then on, like, we would be around Prince.
And I would...
There was a...
one time where he was at the
Bird Awards and we were there and he came
towards me. I had to
physically restrain, Esty. Because he was
present, okay, to our, two
me and Danielle's credit, he was literally
about to present an award and
and Esty was trying to go up to
Prince and I had to
physically restrain. I was like, Esty, he's
doing a job and she was like,
I had to put all my pressure on it
and I feel like to this day she's bringing up because
she's still mad at me. I'm angry. How mad were you in the
moment? She was so mad. So pissed, yeah.
So pissed.
I was like, I could have literally told him how much he means to me.
Which is what you've always wanted to do.
Two second span of time.
It felt very Kathy Hilton at the fashion show.
Oh my God.
At Sutton's fashion show.
Who got up and spoke to Sutton again?
It was Kathy.
No, Kathy came in and she was talking to someone's mom, I think, and she was saying like,
it's so good to see you.
And the models are coming.
And that's what Dianel and Lana didn't want to happen.
But I totally would have done that.
I would have done the same thing as well.
Right?
And when did you guys start?
It was 2009 or 2007?
2007.
But you were in a band before.
Yes, for their parents.
But then one of you was also in a band.
Do you remember?
I toured a lot.
Like, I was in Jenny Lewis's band.
And then I was in Julian Casablanca's from the Strokes' band.
That was it.
Yes.
Yes.
And I was like 20.
I was like the best job of my life.
Right.
I toured the world with another band.
It's okay.
I was in college.
I was a senior in high school.
And then how did you guys like get together and start?
Well, I mean your sister.
Danielle, when she...
By the way, we've had people ask us how we met.
No, you haven't.
Yes.
Yes.
I swear to God.
I swear.
Very smart people, by the way.
Like, what do they say?
No, but not only that, it's like, it's fine if someone asked if they have no context,
but like it was someone who was like trying to work with us in the music business.
Yeah.
Literally.
I was like, we had a meeting with somebody and after like an hour and a half of talking to
them. They were like, so
how did you guys meet?
And we were like, this is not a joke.
I thought it was like, I thought I started laughing
because I was like, how that's a lot of was a good one.
It's a good one. And we were like, what do you mean?
And he was like, well, how did you guys meet?
You obviously started a band together. Like, what, how did you mean?
And I was like, we were like, we were like,
we literally were sisters. And then he was like, oh, also
I feel like we look alike. You do look alike.
Right? I don't know. I feel like we don't look
that much different. Like one of us
I didn't put an ad on Craigslist with a photo.
It'd be like, join my band.
Searching for a band member.
Yeah.
No.
But no, we basically officially started when I was a senior in high school.
And I kind of knew I didn't want to go away for college.
I wanted to do like, well, you didn't get into college.
Both you and me didn't get into college.
Nice try.
Didn't get it.
How many colleges did you guys apply to?
I applied to.
Well, my parents wanted us to go to college.
I said, I went to college.
So like my parents, I don't remember how many.
I graduated.
She's the genius of the family.
It's a hard school to get into.
It's a really hard school to get into.
No, me and Danielle, we were like,
well, Danielle was a senior when I was a freshman,
and Danielle basically, we never went to school.
She was my carpool driver.
She was by carpool driver.
I needed school.
And I just knew I didn't want to go to college.
But yeah, I was, Alana's, I drove carpool when I was a senior.
And Alana was a freshman.
And I just, basically, I would, like, drop the other kids off.
And I'd look at Alana, be like, do you want to go to start?
Literally, it was like Starbust.
We don't even do anything.
We would just sit at Starbucks and like read magazines.
Yeah, that was all we did.
It was way better than Starbucks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Now at this point I'm like I feel like I should have gotten the class more because
no,
I hated it.
I know.
She could,
which is so funny because I feel like Danielle,
you would be like the person that would have.
No,
I hated school.
So we were like in a family band with our parents,
but we never wrote songs.
Our parents were never songwriters.
They just loved the act of like playing covers with us like in the living room.
Right.
Yeah.
And we played shows,
but it was always for charity.
So like it was kind of an epiphany.
I was like, wait, I think I want to try writing a song with my sisters.
So it was really us starting to write songs that we were like, well, maybe we should
perform them as a band in L.A.
And I had just graduated high school.
And so from basically 2007, which is when I graduated high school, and then until we got signed
in 2012.
So for basically five years, we just gigged in L.A.
Like anywhere we could get.
gigs every venue like parking lot every parking lot literally parking lot um yeah
troubadour and a lot on the east side yeah the smell the echo silver lake lounge the satellite
satellite satellite you played a pancake breakfast which was called space land early in the morning
like seven in the morning we played a show it was so fun I mean the roxy like anywhere and also
anywhere that would have honestly I forgot how many times we played the hotel cafe I passed by on
Kowanglia there. I was like, oh my God, how many guys we played that hotel cafes?
We were like, we would open up for anybody that would just let us open up for them.
I was like, we would never headline.
We honestly didn't headline a show until our album came out of.
We could hardly headline a venue in L.A.
No one wanted to give us like a headlining spot.
Yeah.
But it wasn't until we finally released our EP that we started getting attention.
And then it was like easier to book shows and then basically got signed out of the UK first, not even in America.
No one here wanted to sign us here.
Was it online?
attention.
It was basically like the online attention that helped us eventually get signed.
Was it Tumblr?
Because it wasn't, we were just, you know what?
Was it Tumblr?
I feel like we were in the Tumblr.
We were in the Tumblr.
We were in the Tumblr.
But no, our songs started getting played this like lovely amazing woman named Marianne Hobbs,
who was a DJ on XFM in the UK, found our EP.
It was like a free.
We just put her up for free.
We were like, yay.
And she started playing on the radio.
She started playing one of our songs called Better Off on the radio in the UK.
And we were playing to like four people in L.A.
Right.
And but like all of a sudden getting played on the radio.
We were like a lot of people from like England are liking our like my space.
Like what?
At the time and we were like, oh my gosh.
So we ended up playing the Great Escape, which is like the South by Southwest of the UK.
It's in Brighton.
And then that we got signed out of the UK.
But still no one in America wanted to sign us.
Yeah.
It wasn't until the next year that America was the label.
here were kind of like, oh, we should sign this hand.
But did you feel like, were there ever, was there ever a moment where you're like,
well, not to be like, whatever, because it's your album title now, but where you wanted to quit?
Oh my God, we wanted.
Honestly, I have this weird delusion.
We were delioloo bears.
Like, I, when I think about it, I'm like, we really just had this like fire in us that
we were like, we're going to do this as hard.
Like, we're just going to keep going until we're bleeding, like, until like blood comes
out of our eyes.
Like, we just never wanted to stop
because we had so much fun playing live.
We were like,
we were happy to have day jobs
and play live on the weekends.
Like, that was like a happy place.
Like, the fact that we got to go on tour
was such a gift.
And like, when we got signed,
like, but when I say like,
when we were playing all those venues in L.A.,
like, there was never a point where we were like,
we don't want to do this anymore.
We were like, just happy to play.
Right.
Right.
I was like working at Crossroads Trading Company.
S.E. was working at Wastey, I mean,
Essie worked at the Cheesecake Factory.
And I worked at the Daily Grill.
The Daily Grill.
The counter, the counter.
I know the counter is so good.
I honestly, yes.
It's the Bill Joan burger.
Yeah, cheesecake is like that.
Oh, cheesecake is amazing.
What was your cheesecake order?
Oh, I know mine.
As a diabetic, again, shout out to my diabetics.
I love the Oreo cookie cheesecake is my favorite.
But I was talking about this the other day.
So I worked with the one at the Glen, at the Sherman Oaks Gallery in Sherman Oaks.
And back in the day, it was attached to, well, still, there's still, there's still
a movie theater there, but back then it was like the arc light.
Oh, I passed this movie theater.
It was a Pacific theater.
It was a Pacific theater.
No, it was an Arclet.
Not yet.
Not why you worked there.
Essie, I was the queen of the
Galleria. Essey, it was a Pacific
theater.
Pull it up.

I loved the,
um,
oh,
the,
no,
no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
the clam chowder.
Clam chowder.
When you were a hostess at the cheeseing factory,
like, it was such,
it was like so fun to go there with my friends.
Yes.
Oh my God,
it was the coolest.
It was the coolest thing that you were the hostess there.
Why?
Because it'd be like, I'll bump you up on the list.
No,
well,
well, well,
well,
well, well,
well,
and free drinks.
And Cokes.
Because there would be, we had to go cups.
So I would give, like, I would make Shirley Tamples for Alana.
Yeah.
And all of her friends.
Yeah.
All of my friends.
They would all come in, like, 20 of her friends.
Notariously, no dudes ever wanted to make out with me in seventh grade.
So having a sister that worked at the cheesecake factory, like, I would somehow think
that, like, my sister working at the cheesecake factory is going to get these dudes
to think that I'm cool.
So I would bring, like, all the hot guys.
And I'd be like, Esty, can you just?
She'd be like, again, Alana.
Oh, really?
Bringing 25 people here.
that I gave them again.
25, like, 13-year-old boys with braces.
And I'm like, just, just this one,
just, please, this one, please just give me some French fries.
And who, and I did.
She did every time.
And I did.
She did every time.
I feel like we were in a fight like two seconds ago and I didn't like it.
I apologize.
It's fine.
But I just, I don't want us to fight anymore.
I feel like you're standing up.
You're like literally like closing yourself off to me right now.
I see it.
I'm apologizing.
I know.
We're making it.
We're making up.
Give me my go-go juice and maybe I'll feel better.
Okay.
You deserve it.
Thank you.
You deserve it.
Have a sip.
Okay.
You can talk about your story that you want to say.
So, okay, so on Valentine's Day, what I did, because Chesa Factory doesn't take reservations.
They don't, huh?
No reservations.
Yeah.
Genius.
Yeah.
So these men would come in at like five, on Valentine's Day, February 14th, like, the day of love.
You've known that it's this day.
It doesn't change.
It's the same day every single year.
Right, of course.
And all the girlies were all,
there were like five hostesses
because it's a giant restaurant.
We're all standing there.
And we start to see these men coming in being like,
okay, I know that it's like a 30 minute wait,
but is there any way that like,
like, I know it's Valentine's Day.
And like, I have a movie at the Pacific theaters
that I really have to make.
And if it's a 30 minute wait,
I can't go.
And we were like,
okay so they were leveling you like i didn't make a reservation yeah well because there is no you can't
make a reservation right so she's a factory so they're like so anyway and like us we were at first we were like
sure okay sure i'll like try to get you in 20 minutes earlier and then by like six me and all my
gal pals were like what the fuck like how dare you not get a reservation for these magical magical ladies
Yeah.
Like, you could figure out the movie,
but you couldn't figure out a reservation.
I'm sorry.
No more.
And then when the men would come up and be like,
oh, can you please?
We'd be like, so this was what I started saying.
There's a menu.
It's really thick.
There's a lot of things to buy at the Cheesecake Factory.
You're going to open it.
You're going to put a $100 bill in there,
and then you're going to give it back to me.
And then we'll see how quickly I can get you
reservation.
How many men do you think did that that night?
I, how many?
23 men.
No.
23 men.
I made 2300.
But I had to split it with the other gals.
Because it was for all of us.
I'm a team player.
No, but we actually, because I was, I was, I, I knew that this happened, but we just
ran into Estes hostess.
Carolyn.
Shout out to Carolyn.
And she was like, remember Valentine's Day?
Like, it's like a thing that, like, remember, like, remember, like, like,
Remember what we did on Valentine's Day?
We made these men suffer.
Yeah.
And did you get in trouble for it?
No.
No.
No.
And you know what?
Get a reservation.
Get a reservation.
Get a reservation.
For your significant other on Valentine's Day.
Make a reservation.
Make a reservation.
Don't go to the cheesecake factory.
You're going to pay.
And you know what?
No.
Or go to the cheesecake factory.
Absolutely.
But like.
Get there early.
Get there early.
Have a plan.
Have a plan.
Have a plan.
Have a plan.
I was like these.
Anyway, so I made a lot of money that night.
And I think I bought a Michael Corr's purse with the money.
Oh, cute.
I went to Macy's and I bought my first Michael Corse purse.
All from, all from blood,
from men's tears.
Men's tears.
Men's sadness.
Wait, so who, which have you lived in New York again?
I just did a stint in New York.
No, but like early on.
Didn't you live in New York for a minute?
I lived in New York a little bit when I was touring with Julian
because he's kind of like Mr. Manhattan.
Right.
Because the Chisay factors remind me of,
did you ever go to Hale and Hardy?
No.
I like wasn't that deep.
I heard about it.
Isn't there like, there's like,
What is, wait, what is it?
It closed down.
Is it, was it a chain?
Yes, it was a chain.
It was the soup and sandwich place.
Yeah.
No, I want to try it.
It's fun.
I know we're such,
we really want to be New York girl.
I mean, at least, I'm speaking for myself.
I do love soup.
And we love soup.
And we love soup.
And we love soup.
Where's your favorite soup in L.A.?
She makes soup.
Oh, wait, what is your favorite soup in L.A?
Oof.
I love the Viet noodle bar chicken fa.
Where?
It's a, it's in the water.
It's in that water.
But there is one on the west side, too.
I think there is too.
Controversial statement, I don't like soup.
What?
I know, it's crazy.
It's weird.
I don't like, I don't know what it is about.
It's just too hot.
I only like hot beverages.
Like, even if it's hot outside, I want a hot coffee.
There is not, that's where, that's where you guys.
But I respect, I respect it.
Like, it could be 100 degrees out and you'll be having a hot coffee.
Yes, she's one of those people.
I wouldn't have like a hot coffee.
I'd have like a hot espresso.
If it's like boiling and I need some caffeine,
like I wouldn't, you know what I mean?
You know actually that technically cools you down?
Yes, it does.
It cools you down.
Because it's, too.
It raises your core temperature or something.
Yes, and then like you're not as hot as that.
It's something weird goes on.
I can't.
I can't.
I can't.
The outside somehow feels colder.
Yes, science.
Yeah, because your core is so.
I know, you guys went to school.
We did that.
We did that.
We did go to school.
We did.
We did.
We did.
We need help.
We did.
We need help.
Me and Danielle, we need help.
It's okay.
Wait, so, I'm, tell me about the album title then.
I quit.
I quit.
So, you go first.
Okay, I quit.
It's kind of been like a sister inside joke since we were like children.
Oh, that's sweet.
Because we watched this movie.
I don't know if you've seen, have you seen that thing you do.
Okay.
Everybody go watch.
Yeah, I need a night.
Go watch that thing you do.
It's an amazing movie.
Tom Hanks.
He wrote it.
He wrote it.
He directed it.
directed it.
But it's about this band.
Like, we were also, like, young girls that, like, loved watching movies.
I mean, it's like, you love watching movies about, like, musicians.
Like, I love All Most Famous.
I love that thing you do.
But it's about a band that comes together.
They write a song called That Thing You Do.
And it skyrockets through the charts.
They get number one.
There's, like, there's a, Liv Tyler's in it.
Oh, I love her.
You guys in the leftovers?
I mean, I love that.
HBO.
I love it.
And we're back.
HBO Max.
HBO Max.
No, the leftovers, I just finished leftovers, life changing.
It's so good.
So.
So.
Hoth person on God's Green Earth.
You guys are gonna need to offline about this.
It makes me sick.
I know we'll offline about it.
Yeah, he's sexual.
It's weird because I'm sort of friends with him.
No.
I know.
I'm sort of, sort of.
Like we have a lot of mutual friends that I've hung out with him a couple times.
I've had conversations with him.
Nice, nice man.
Maybe saying friends is like one step too far, but I do know him.
He's everything to me.
He's everything.
He's everything to me.
And he's nice.
He seems it.
He's so nice.
He seems it.
Like the scenes of him getting out of the bathtub butt naked.
Stop it.
Don't you wait.
What?
Spoiler.
I need to watch it.
You guys, he comes out.
He's like slathered in like water and oil.
His abs are like wash for.
Oh my God.
I know.
Like, oh my God.
I know.
I know.
And then there's a scene where he's running down.
Don't you even.
He's running.
And his bulge, his bulge is like swinging back and forth.
I'm clenching.
No, you guys, I'm clutching.
My pearls.
Like, it is like, I watched that and I rewind it.
I was like, did I just see what I think I saw?
Yes.
I'm like going to be sick.
We're adding another thing for me to watch so that.
Thank God for HBO math.
No, thank God.
You guys, any Madman fans out there?
Yes.
I never got behind Madman.
That's for me and Danielle connect.
I never got behind it.
I don't know why.
My parents were like, how could you not?
And I was like, I don't know.
You know what?
I'm sort of with you.
I did love the show.
I did love the show, but not as much as the leftovers.
The leftovers like changed my perspective on life.
Yes.
I was like, oh my God.
Brewery in concept.
Yes.
Really in concept for a show.
And like also like, have you ever met a sadder character than Carrie Coons on that show?
Never.
I'm like, my life is great compared to hers.
That was also the reason I watched season three of Writers.
She killed it.
She's phenomenal.
I've never met her.
if Carrie, if you're watching, I also want to be your tangential friend.
Like, I'll adjust and throw.
Like, we can be at that level and I'll be fine.
Like, you guys, like, you will be sick too.
No, I know.
I love what, Liz Tyler has started this whole tangent.
Like, I love, I mean, Liv Tyler is also just such a babe.
Oh, the hot is definitely.
Wait, sorry.
Sorry, sorry.
You quit.
Yeah, we can y'all?
We're literally screaming.
Has there ever been a more chaotic episode?
No, this is an instant classic already.
I'm telling you right now.
Literally.
She's like geeking out.
Okay.
You tell us if we're being too much.
I am going to explain.
This couldn't be more perfect if it tried.
Like really and really,
I'm like happy.
Okay, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great.
I know you would tell me.
Yeah, I would.
I know you would tell me, like, get it together.
Okay, so let me explain our album title.
Okay, okay, okay.
Sorry, Justin.
Okay.
Okay, so our album title,
I quit starts with this movie called that thing you do.
Live Tyler, we stand.
But,
There's this scene at the very end where Jimmy, who is the lead singer of The Wonders, the band in this movie, he's told by Tom Hanks to make a song that's peppy and snappy.
Because they're basically a one hit wonder.
They're a one hit.
You need another hit.
You need another hit.
We want something peppy.
We want something snappy.
Right.
And Jimmy wants to notoriously like do like a song that's sad and slow.
We hate Jimmy.
We love the actor, but we hate Jimmy as a character.
And he comes up to the mic and it's like one of those hanging mics.
so it's like this.
Yeah.
It's like this.
He's like Capitol Records Studio.
And he goes, okay, ready?
I'm trying to get a good angle.
Here you go.
I quit.
I quit.
I quit.
I quit.
I quit Mr. White.
And it was like a thing that me and my siblings, honestly, thank you.
Yeah, that was awesome.
If you watched the movie, you're going to be like, that was a perfect representation.
I'm a set designer.
Set design was great.
But basically, like, growing up,
when we would have to like check a mic or we would like be in the studio like checking the mic we
would always say I quit I quit we would like sing the song and so while we were making this album
we started doing that and then one day we were like why don't we just like for the like for right
now let's name it I quit like let's just like put it as the file right right right like the working title
working title I quit and then once we were listening like finally like when all the songs were done
and we were listening back to all the songs.
All of the songs had,
like, it was like we were quitting something
that would make our lives better.
Like, every song kind of has this, like,
one thing where it was like, oh, we quit that
while we were making the album.
And then we, like, look to each other and we're like,
should we name the album I quit?
And it, like, kind of took on.
And it kind of made us laugh.
It made us laugh.
And if something kind of makes us laugh,
we're like, maybe that's good.
Our last album was Women in Music Part 3.
Like, it made us laugh.
This one made us laugh.
And that's what we know that, like,
things are, you know, in the right direction.
I love the album.
I love my, I'll tell you my favorite songs.
Tell me right now.
Love you right.
Oh.
Oh my God.
Cry's my favorite.
Cry's my favorite.
I sing that one.
Yeah, it's my favorite on the album.
It's the first time.
I was like, this was my favorite.
Esty, that's the first time Esty singing lead on an album.
Yes, cry's my favorite.
It's so good.
It's my favorite.
Love You Write and Cry.
Those are my two.
Oh, I love that.
incredible, but those two really, like, hip for me.
Oh, I love that.
Yeah, it's beautiful.
Thank you so much.
It's, like, Cynthia.
It's, like, cool.
It's, yes.
I mean, I put, like, talk about, like, tears.
Lots of, like, lots and lots and lots of S-D-Ters went into making that song.
Do you, did you write it all yourself?
No, no, no, no, we write everything together.
Okay.
But we talk about, I come into the studio.
Very upset that day.
After kind of getting a really shitty text from.
an ex that I hadn't spoken to in a long time.
Why was it so shit?
We can cut it.
We can cut it.
I'm just kind of curious.
He basically,
he basically was like,
I basically caught him cheating.
And I told all of his friends that he cheated on me.
And then he was like,
you're a piece of shit for not keeping this.
Like,
just like what you're such a like,
you're so immature.
Like, why did you have to like tell everyone
and like air out this dirty laundry
and I was like, are you fucking kidding me?
You're fucking kidding.
If SC, if SC could buy a billboard
and put his face on it and say,
cheater, she would.
Yeah, I totally would.
I mean, I would never give him that sort of energy
as he doesn't deserve it.
But it really like, it cut me in such a way
where I, because I was already like grieving this.
I had just found out,
this was like months after we had broken up,
but I had just found out that like he was cheated.
on me the entire time.
Right.
It's really bad.
And so I was just like, I was confronted with that.
And then on top of that to then get a text from him that was like, you're the piece of shit.
You're the problem.
Right.
I was like, devastated.
I was like, I can't believe you're turning this around on me.
Right.
In what world?
So I just came in and I was like, I can't stop.
I would just literally could not stop.
And it was, like, put in a song.
Like, keep going.
Like, yeah, I was like, here's the mic.
I literally.
Okay.
So literally.
So anyway, so yeah.
And then I cried.
And then you wrote cry.
And then she cried.
And then I cried.
And then I wrote a song about it.
And then, and honestly, I know that a lot of artists talk about it.
But like, it really is the most cathartic thing.
Yeah.
To do is to like just get it out and like write about it, sing about it.
Talk about it.
I'm lucky that like, as collaborating.
Daniel and Alana, I don't think any of us are ever like, like, we don't poo-poo anything.
We're never like, absolutely not.
It's like, try it.
And then you can hear if it works or not.
And like, so we always are just experimenting in the studio.
And yeah, I mean, that's all of our music, I think.
So wait, what year was this?
This was 2020.
Two to three.
Yes.
And three.
Yeah.
Until the like beginning of 24.
The whole god-dainel is still single.
I'm so pretty, please.
Wasn't that the theme of your birthday?
Yes.
Yes.
And no, I have, I've never been more single.
But you read out.
I kissed a bunch of hot men.
Wait, is that guy we were talking about come?
Oh my God, I don't remember.
Wait, which guy?
No, I don't think so.
You know exactly who I'm talking about.
Oh, no, he didn't.
I think I remember who you were talking about.
No, no, no, no, no.
No, but Danielle was like, Danielle thought, like,
Danielle's DMs are open.
you guys, can people just slide into Danielle Z.
The way in which, like, I don't know.
Mine are dry as fuck.
I don't even.
I'm, like, helpless.
Why?
I don't know.
I don't know.
What is going on?
Two, you are the most amazing people.
Like, you guys need, what is happening.
But my thing is when I start, I don't know if you're the same way.
When I start talking to someone and they start giving me the time of day, I'm like, I'm over it.
Oh, no.
I'm not like that.
Like, literally, like, no, I want to be wanted.
Danielle's.
Daniel is serial monogamous.
But, right.
I don't know what's going on.
I think the universe is telling you that you, I mean, not to be like so universe,
but like I feel like the universe is telling me that you need to be single.
I need to be single.
Sure.
Fine.
So I was like, fine.
I'll take it.
I guess single for.
Since 2022.
Oh, you're fine.
I know.
No, I woke up like three mornings ago actually just being like, you know what?
I'm actually so excited for single summer.
I'm excited.
Yeah.
I'm ready.
Look out.
It is.
It's high summer.
It's hard summer.
It's everything summer.
It's all the summers.
Like, it's a yearning summer.
summer. Yes. I'm ready to yearn. I love that. And for someone to yearn for you, by the way.
And for you to accept that someone is yearning for you. I know, but I just like, I get the ick
so easily. I know. I know. Okay. I got it the other day and I was like, oh, God damn it.
When did you meet your loving fiance? My loving fiance? I met my loving fiance in
23. So I was basically single for a year and a half. I see got swooped. I did. I did. But listen,
the time before I met my fiancee was really.
real fun.
Oh.
It was really,
really fun.
I loved it.
We wrote many,
many a song about it,
but then I met,
I met my fiance
and he's the best
and he's really one of the good ones.
Oneheim down.
One time down.
Two to go.
Two to go.
Two to fucking go.
But yeah,
not uncuffing this one.
No.
No.
Is that what relationships is about?
Relationships is more like towards.
But actually,
relationships was for Women in Music
Part 3.
We started in like a 20.
It's an older song.
older song. But like some songs on albums, I mean, I feel like everyone kind of goes through
this, but like there's always like a problem child. Like there's always like one song that you can't get
right. And relationships was like so hard to figure out, but we knew it was a good song because we loved
it so much. And we just like, there's like 17 versions of it or like 18 versions of it. And then
we brought it to Ross Dam our producer and he like helped us organize our thoughts about it.
But yeah, no, it took a long time to get that song. Right. Up and running. But yeah.
Okay, question.
Okay.
Did you guys,
and this is so off topic,
I'm so sorry.
No, please.
But now that I have you here,
I have to ask.
Tell me.
Evermore is my favorite Taylor Swift album of all time.
Did you guys do
No body,
no crime in studio with her?
No,
it was COVID.
No, it was COVID.
But that is my favorite
Taylor's album of all time.
It's amazing.
That and 1989 Taylor's version.
Those two are like my,
my things.
But I remember listening to Evermore
with like my mom
when it first came out
and so I'll just never forget that.
It was such a special time.
It was such a special record.
It's such an honor to be like in her,
universe. That is crazy.
Crazy. It's so fun. Okay, another
question. You guys were talking about
in that, in the movie, what is it?
That's just how it is?
That thing you do.
Honestly, are we writing?
You're writing a movie?
No, should we write a movie?
That's just how it is.
That is just how it is.
That is just how it is. That is just how it is.
It's kind of like
he's just all that into you.
Yeah.
That's just how it is.
And just like that. That's just how it is.
That's just how it is.
And that's the tagline is like, hey, babe.
Wait, we should.
And that's just how it is.
You heard it here first.
Yeah, you did hear it here first.
That thing you do, yes.
And they talk about, there were one hit wonder.
When you guys first popped off and like the wire really took off, was there ever like a fear that like, oh, we're not going to top this?
Oh my God.
No, did it, did the wire pop off?
I know.
Yeah, good question.
No, honestly, like, with our first album, we were just so excited to have it.
I feel like I keep on saying we were so excited.
Like, we genuinely.
We're just so excited to get out of L.A.
and be able to do this as a job.
Like the amount of like gratitude and happiness,
music has brought all three of us.
And the fact that we can do it together is like mind-blowing.
I mean, think about my parents.
They're like, I don't even know how my parents deal.
They're like, our girls, they're together all the time playing music.
Like, my parents told me their dream.
It's their dream.
Like, they're extremely proud and amazing.
I love my parents.
But it's just been like the best.
Like when I remember like,
This feeling that I had putting out days are gone is like the same feeling that I've had with every single album we've put out.
Like it's never lost on me like how insane that we get to put out albums.
So like I'm, we're just like in this like fun euphoric zone of like, because we've been working on these songs on this album for, you know, a couple of years now.
And like now the fact that you even said like that you love cry and love you right.
I'm like, oh my God, I can't believe you've heard it.
Like it's just like I haven't wrap my head around that yet.
But it's the best.
It's so fun.
It's like the best job ever
I really want to see a show
Oh my God come
Come on the forum babe
When is the forum?
October 9th
Oh I'll be there
Yeah everybody come
I'll be so fun
I'm here
Great
And then what else was I
Well I do want to ask you guys
What you're therapist about
What I'm therapist about?
Oh no sorry
Before that
You're working with Terry
Yes
What's that like
He's the greatest of all the time
He's the greatest
He's known Terry for
I feel like forever
We've been friends with him
When Benny and Terry
moved to LA
Benny reached out to us to do like a Halloween.
Yeah, during COVID.
During COVID, like a Halloween.
He was doing like a Halloween.
Yeah, I did.
I did like a hocus pocus themed video in the middle of COVID.
Alana was filming her movie.
I couldn't be in it because I was filming licorice pizza and I was like in a COVID bubble doing that.
And so we had just like such huge fans of Benny just online.
And so he like came over.
We had never met him before.
He's the best of all time.
He's the best.
And Terry was with him and Terry was filming it.
And we just like.
struck up such a great friendship with them.
Yeah.
And so, yeah, that was like, we've been, like, working together now for a...
I love them.
We just love somebody that, like, loves our references just as much as we do.
Like, well, we text Harry, like, I text Terry more than anyone on this planet, I feel like...
He responds fast.
He responds so fast.
I'm like, when do you sleep?
I don't know what's going on.
But no, like, any type of idea that we have, like, a cuckoo crazy idea, he's just, like,
so game, like, the best, the best person.
Ever.
So nice to have some of that's...
Like, let's do it.
Right.
And is he like creative directing?
Like, what's he?
Yeah, I mean, he's been taking our single photo.
All of our single artwork.
It's a paparazzi base.
It's based on iconic paparazzi shots.
We have the same references.
So like we'll send him, like we sent him that.
That Kate Moss.
Kate Moss infamous photo.
And he was like, oh.
Got you.
Got, say, like, say this.
Right. Yeah.
And the Nicole Kidman.
Yes.
Oh, it was iconic.
Yes.
And it's just, it's so nice to like be creative with someone.
Yeah, like who has your same references.
And again, like, he's like, let's just shoot it.
We're like, well, should we get a photographer's like, I can do it.
We're like, oh my God.
He is so fucking talented.
He's so good.
He's just so talented with everything.
And it's just so nice.
He's the best to have.
He's the best.
Him.
And I wish I could be in a relationship with him and Benny.
I know.
We talked about it all the time.
I wish that I could just be like, can, can I just
live with you guys.
Like, I don't know, can we be roommates?
It's like, they're the perfect.
They're the perfect couple.
I'm like, I will never, also, like, gives me hope in life.
Like, I'm just like, they seem like actual puzzle pieces.
So they are and their wedding's going to be amazing whenever that may be.
We've already said we're DJing, we're playing.
We're officiating.
Like, I don't know.
Star-setting.
Star-setting.
Star-s-Sat-Live on, like, a lavender farm with them.
Yeah.
That's what I think.
Like, how?
I feel like we all need to start to move to a lavender farm with, who is not.
So good.
I know.
Be calming.
Yeah.
That's my dream.
I like that.
I used to have like a teddy bear that I would heat up in the microwave.
And then.
Lavender.
Yeah.
So soothing.
So soothing.
Okay.
What are you guys therapists about?
Oh my God.
What are we pissed about?
Therapist about.
I'm therapist that we're not going to be together for a long time.
Like, I feel like I'm not going to see you for some long.
I'm kind of sad about it now too.
I know.
Like I feel like we just like scratched the surface.
Little Domps was the first.
Yes.
I know.
The second layer.
I know.
And like we're almost at that third.
I feel like we all, we like, we have so much to talk.
We have a whole lifetime.
Well, you know, we're about to get into Gossip Central.
Yeah.
After that.
Which I have been thinking about.
I'm so pumped.
I have,
I have two.
We have stories.
Same stories.
Oh, I'm fucking ready.
Two insane stories that I'm about to tell you.
You will not even believe.
Oh, you know what?
I probably will.
Yes.
I probably will.
Okay.
Okay.
Great.
So should we get into the tell me what's wrongs?
Yes.
Sure.
Oh my God.
Here we go.
Okay.
I've asked my boyfriend multiple times to stop liking bikini and thirst trap pictures of other girls on Instagram.
He always says he wills, but then continues to do so.
I don't think he's doing anything with other people, but it hurts my feelings,
especially when the girls don't look anything like me, help.
Wait.
Okay.
We have all dealt with this issue.
Yes.
And it is crazy.
Stop doing that.
I agree.
It's not okay.
Yeah, what's the point?
It's not okay.
Why?
What are they looking?
And then when you bring it up.
When you bring it up, it's so gaslighty.
They're like, what do you mean?
Like, it's just like, I just like a lot.
I just like the photo.
What's the big deal?
What's the big deal?
I'm like, no, like, all the pictures are gorgeous.
I mean, the women are amazing and gorgeous.
Like, I'm jelly.
The women are beautiful.
It's the men.
I'm like, can we not do that?
It makes me feel sad.
And do you see it in their likes?
Like, do you like see likes by?
Yes.
We follow the same people.
I'm just like, I can see the name.
Like, we're not doing it secretly.
If it makes you feel like,
uncomfortable and they don't understand where you're coming from because that's like a very easy
it's a way of flirting yes i think i agree i think it's cheating and i do think where there's smoke there's
fire i know that she's saying i don't think anything's going on i think that's like the first step of
three steps to the cheat zone yeah do you know what i mean like the actual like the active
did your ex do that ever yes yeah he gaslit me and he was like what's the big deal why is that a problem
i'm not doing anything wrong you feel like you're
crazy.
How is that doing anything wrong?
I'm not touching anyone.
I'm not talking to anyone.
I'm not like, why is that wrong?
It makes me upset.
But so I say, it's right.
Yeah.
And you're right.
You're right.
And I was completely right.
Get out of there.
Get out of here.
So break up.
You'll find somebody that will not do that.
Okay.
I think breaking up is,
you don't want to be rash,
but I do think that it's worth one last.
Taking a look at it.
Just being like, listen,
this really, really bothers me.
Bothers me.
And as someone that I think is my partner.
Like we're partners here.
Right.
We're on the same team.
You should be able to just be like, you know what?
It's an easy.
This is really affecting my partner.
I'm going to, I'm going to look at myself and I'm going to stop.
And if they do that, continue on.
That's great.
That is the mature thing to do.
If you'd say it one more time and they don't do it, then I think you kind of have to look at it and be like, get out of there.
Why am I wasting my time on someone that isn't going to take my feelings into account?
Right.
100%.
Agreed.
God, I could be a therapist.
You could.
You really could.
Am I calming?
You are calming.
You're lavender.
Beyond.
I'm lavender.
What would you guys prescribe for that?
For what?
Like that, what would you suggest that she watch or listen to?
Oh.
Listen to.
I quit.
Yes.
We prescribe.
I quit.
Honestly, we have a lot of thought that will make you want to scream out loud.
Good one.
Good one.
I'm deeply, deeply, deeply in love with my sister's best friend and have been since we were in high school.
It's a classic sibling-related.
relationship though, like she would rather die than see that happen.
I already tried kissing her once and it didn't go well.
I'm coming back from college for a family event.
She'll be at, do I shoot again or leave it?
Oh, maybe leave it.
I think leave it.
So they shot their shot.
And it didn't work.
And it didn't work.
Okay, if it didn't work, then I think you leave it because they're going to have to come to you.
Yeah, agreed.
Agreed.
The ball is in the other person's court now.
You need to be, yeah, boundaries.
Agreed.
Yes.
Jake, my roommate brought her new man over after a breakup and hooked up in my room
while I was in class.
The picture of me and my boyfriend
was knocked over on the floor.
Confront or combust.
Confront.
Oh, and both.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
Why?
You're a room.
Oh, my God.
Wait, why can't they go to their room?
Did you ever deal with like a bad roommate in college?
No, my roommates were actually really sweet.
Me too, yeah.
I had really.
They were really.
They were really.
They respected my things.
But I had very,
I did have very respectful roommates.
This is a whole other.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
Also, just like, I would not want to be in, on the mattress knowing what went down.
Like, it's like, it's not even just like a clean the sheets kind of situation.
Like, there's a mattress involved.
You want to hear something crazy.
Tell me.
One time my friend got back from a weekend away and she went to her room.
And, oh, God, I hope I'm telling the story, right?
She sat down on her bed.
I'm going to throw up.
And it was, it was wet.
It was wet.
Like the whole thing was wet.
Her roommate's brother slept in the bed,
peed all over the bed,
and just left it.
That is so not okay.
She was like, wait a...
What?
Are you fucking kidding me?
No, the entire bed was soaking wet.
I would be...
I don't even know what I would do.
I don't know what I would do.
How crazy is that?
So she probably knew the brother as well.
And she was like, bleep it.
Like, what the fuck are you?
What's wrong with you?
And she was like, oh, sorry?
Oh, sorry?
Okay.
The one thing I will say is like,
If I was her, I would, by the time my friend came back,
if I knew that my brother had pissed in my best friend's bed,
I would have gotten a mattress there.
Like, I would have made it.
Like, it would have been Amazon immediately.
Like, I would have taken the cost.
My brother got too drunk and peed in your bed, but I got you a name.
Maybe even bump it up one.
Right.
Nice mattress.
Or at least a new mattress pad.
No.
Like, people are disrespectful.
That's crazy.
Like one time, my best friend Brett had a birthday party in her college, like,
house and she
she came downstairs crying
and we were like oh my god Brett like what happened
20 people were over for the pregame 20 girls were over
for the pregame that's it the party didn't even start yet
hysterically crying somebody shit on her
bath mat
you're lying no who took a shit I have a photo of it
shit on her bath mat
we looked around the room like we were in a game
of clue like who the fuck did it
wait who took a shit hold on we have our assumptions
we
everyone always asks
about how to maintain long
relationships, but what about long distance friendships?
I'm moving to college soon and want to stay in touch with my girls.
Oh, it's just calls.
Yeah, FaceTime calls.
We have always on the road.
We're always on the road.
Every relationship we have is a long distance relationship, basically.
Yeah.
Friendships, romantic relationships, parents.
Right.
I feel like calls go a very long way.
Like, I feel like you can text.
Text is always nice to, like, text in and check in with your friends.
But like, my real friends call me.
And, like, we have, like, five-hour conversations, like,
and it's, like, very comforting when you're not home to still have, like, a nice phone call or a FaceTime.
It feels better.
So, text, but also call.
And I think, I do think, I do think that, like, planning break, like, when you're on a break in college,
planning and being, like, listen, I can't, I can't come in to back home over the winter break,
but, like, let's do something spring break.
Like, making a plan.
Yeah, making plans.
Planning goes along with.
So then you have something to look forward to.
Right.
Like, it's always kind of like in the back of your mind.
Like, okay, like three more weeks.
Finals will be done.
And then I get to see Samantha.
Right.
Back, you know, we're going to go to Cabo.
I've ever been to Cabo.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
So close.
You should go.
Cabo's fun.
I need to go.
I need to go.
I need to go.
What did you guys do before like FaceTime?
Oh, my God.
I was just thinking I was like with my college friends.
I would do the one on like the,
there was like a, the.
It was the thing on the.
On the I chat.
Yeah.
On your Mac too.
I chat.
I chat.
Yeah.
You would do the effects.
Yeah.
We used to have the like really bad.
I mean it never worked but there was like an AOL one that you could use like the first generation.
There was like a camera.
Like you would buy or at best buy.
It never looked good.
Like when we were like babies.
I don't even know why we had it.
Do you remember when you would do I chat though and you would be able to see if someone else was already busy on FaceTime with someone else?
Yes.
I would say.
It would say.
Oh yeah.
It would say like they're busy.
Yeah.
Like who are they talking to?
Yeah, but if you saw both of your friends were busy without you and they wouldn't like, oh my God.
Oh, yeah.
I'm getting work flashbacks.
You're like, I'm going to call somebody right now.
I'm about to three-way calls both of them.
I'd be like, let me end.
Well, because they could let you right.
Yeah.
They didn't want to.
That's annoying.
I honestly forget.
No, I don't think there was three-way calling like that back then.
This has been amazing.
Okay, okay.
Well, I have one last question for you guys.
Okay.
And I already know the answer.
Okay.
What did we learn today?
That this is probably the most fun we've ever had.
I know.
Are you serious?
I've had a lot of fun too.
I could do this for the next year.
I didn't want it to end.
I could do five hours of it.
Will you come back for your next album?
Yes.
Okay, cool.
We'll just come back when we're bored.
I'll just be like, I'm here.
Please.
I'm just going to move in here.
This is a nice, cozy space.
Would you guys really have fun?
Come on tour.
Yes.
I do want to come and see you guys on tour.
I want to come to like a random city and like vibe out.
Yes.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
You say when.
Okay, well, Streamheim's new album, I quit out June 20th.
And thank you guys for coming on the show.
We love you.
Give it a little bye pussies.
Bye pussies.
Bye pussies.
