This month marks the anniversary of President Bush, signing the Americans with Disabilities Act into law.
Writer and digital activist Kia Brown created the viral hashtag disabled and cute.
To show the world that just because somebody has a disability doesn't mean they can't love their body,
that they aren't desired, and that they can't be cute.
I just woke up that morning and I was like, we still feel so good about ourselves.
It's time to celebrate.
Now, if you know anything about me, I'm very online.
And so I was like, I'm going to celebrate on Twitter.
And I'm going to do so with the idea that I'm both disabled and cute.
So I was like, ooh, I like the way that sounds.
Disabled and cute, not either or.
