Hello everybody
So hey we did it
We did it, 25K.
So thank you to everyone who has been supporting the podcast over these past six plus years now.
Let's go over some numbers.
So as you can see, 25,000 unique downloads on the podcast.
which episodes are
our best performing
all time? Well
I say well number one
is Laura which isn't
really a
episode of the podcast
just a song that I wrote
back in the college
in MIDI music
composition and thought
it as a cool
I'll first use it in an
episode of the podcast
and then added as a
Yeah, cool bonus for the pod.
So technically that's number one, but number one episode-wise is stories I would otherwise be left untold,
which is how we ended season one and 549 downloads.
Number two is its sequel, Stories Untold 2, which ended season 2 of the podcast at
541.
Next is
the most
downloaded
interview
episode we ever
did and that was
Brian Boy
his first time
on the podcast
at
534.
Next would be
ghost stories
back in
season two
told some
ghost stories
for Halloween.
Next would
be Pat Lamb
our very first
episode
then
a thought
on being a tricky then uh adam sadique uh shout out to the k c games designers group and uh next we had the
uh famous cronky outs episode and absolutely that guy out and uh then we had uh chris lineman and 313
next would be uh and this was in the
300 download
club
thoughts on being
multilingual
so
uh
thank
uh...
much
thanks
and now we had
our
200
200
200
download range
so
George Dean
the first time
he came on the podcast
is next
then the smash up
playthrough
with Brian
then
uh
1K unique
downloads
then the second appearance of Luke and Dan
Dan, I still owe you a game day, bud.
So we'll discuss that later.
Probably closing in season 10 here.
Top 10 board games.
Then Luke and Dan the first time around.
also known as our drinking episode
Why I'm now a Cards fan
This is recycled from Winningside
Then Adams
Adam McKeith is second time
On the podcast
Top 10 movies
Including my telling you of the aristocrat joke
Then Conrado
My all-time favorite episode
Is in the 200 range
Thoughts on being ex-Morman up there
And McKeith's first time on the podcast
Part 1 of our Twilight Empire
Three-Parter
And I can't stress enough
That that that three-parter is all one game
It does take that long to play one game
Of Twilight Empire
Jared Feldman, his first time on the podcast
Is up there
Then George Dean's second time on the podcast
Chris Hertz
first time on the podcast
thoughts on
independent soccer pro pro ral for USA
that's
mostly recycled from winning side
tour of KC
is up there
the first door of KC
not the Swift D version
and 500
unique downloads
live stream
so a lot of season two
in here
So now we go from 200 downloads to the 1 to 200 range and I think we'll stop there.
So just shy of 200, quite a few on this part of the list.
So we have the podcast ending seminar.
We have Andrew Rainey the first time he was on the podcast customer.
He came back not too long ago.
so we could talk about the past election.
And Mark Parton, all just one download away from 200.
Caroline is next, along with the 2000 unique download live stream.
And then my thoughts on the 2016 election for clarification.
No, I'm not talking about Donnie.
I'm talking about what happened with me in 16.
Coach Sir Millen will be next
and the French volunteers
when I did
that before I even
thought about doing the podcast
in fringe
the final song of our
recording
so they're the special
happy birthday songs on another
non-episode of the podcast but
so a pretty cool song
it is an AI version
of what we call the special happy birthday song
from my camping days
in Scouts
Rick Daniels
is next
then the original trailer
where the podcast is up there
Matt Seul
Tai Gap Arts
the original thoughts on the NFL
in St. Louis, most of which is recycled
wingside
then we have Trevor
then Twilight Empire in Part 2
which I think was the
more interesting
other one
then we have
Season 2 AMA
which
bombed but started our second
season
and we have a top 20
South Park episodes
top 10 colleges
and no
I think that's a good place to
stop because we have a
We still have a lot
that
got
over 100
downloads
and a lot
still that
needs to happen
so the last
the bottom
of that
list of
100 downloads
is the
April Fool's joke
I tried to
pull on everyone
those
almost
extra
for a mar
right
and how we
and by the way
these downs
do also
include
all the
trailers
all
little songs and even our second podcast within our feed,
the unofficial fan lounge.
And yes, I have been keeping up with the off-season news of the league.
I'm going to wait until that becomes official before I comments any further,
but it is pretty messed up.
Now, per country, let's actually...
Now, this is only a select past a few months.
I want the full podcast.
So we've got to go May 2019 through July 2025.
Select all 2,277 days.
And there's our 2,500.
And if you're seeing the video, you can see,
we've had 10 different countries
They've given us at least 100 downloads
So number one, of course,
The good old, our country of origin, the USA
With 19,6808 downloads
India would be second at 3,010.
Then France, 374
Germany,
354, no, 354
excuse me, I've got that wrong.
So Germany, 351.
Spain is next, 261.
The Netherlands, 232, which is interesting because Kronky Apps was partially produced in the Netherlands.
Ireland, 133, Canada at 110.
Singapore, 106, and the UK at 102.
too. So I thank you to
everyone in those
countries especially, but everyone around
the world who's been
downloading
if you're just
listening, you can't see the map,
but if you're watching, you can
see the map. You see we have most of
Europe cover. We have Mexico.
Colombia,
Peru, Brazil.
We have a smattering of countries in Africa, including Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, just the name of few.
We have a lot of the Middle East's including Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
We have mostly Indian subcontinent, I think, actually all the Indian subcontinent.
covered.
I have, I think, at least one
from Kyrgyzstan, which is this
whole country there. We managed to get quite
a bit from China.
Got
Thailand,
we have Malaysia, got the Philippines,
Indonesia,
Australia,
New Zealand, South Korea,
and Nihol.
So thank you.
to everyone.
Let's take a special look at the states.
So other, I don't know what this
other means, but the United States
Other, they have this listed
5,400, saying
4. Then
thank you to the Buckeye State,
Ohio,
2,190 downloads coming
from there. Oregon
is
seconds
1,756.
Our home state of Kansas,
1,640
and our other home state,
Missouri,
1,465, so
right in there.
Virginia is giving us a love,
love 1,445.
Colorado
gives us a law of
to 1,235.
California.
California hasn't quite gotten to the thousand range, but they're getting there, 9,717.
And Arizona would be next at 597.
Lots of catching up to do.
Iowa, very close by 400.
400 even.
That's awesome.
So thank you for that.
Then rounding up those that gave us at least 100.
Dallas, Massachusetts, Texas, I know we can do better, Texas, Illinois, New York, Florida, Indiana, and New Mexico.
Utah is at 99.
So they're just one shy.
Georgia, Pennsylvania.
So, yeah, thank you to everyone who has been, listen.
And can we please get some downloads out of, uh,
Well, there are two states that gave us, they've given us no downloads so far.
They would be Alaska and Vermont.
So, can we please get some love out of those two cities.
I'm not going to try to worry about the cities right now.
Because the way things are set up and there's a lot of math that needs to happen there.
So, yay, we did it, 25K.
All right.
So we're going to pause this part of the presentation.
And we will resume with hopefully a more celebratory part of the presentation.
And I'm going to invite all of our friends and anyone else who wants to do.
podcast shut
I'm going to pass
May night
the stars align
a mic
a dream
and borrowed time
who knew a voice
could echo this far
started with
whispers
now it's a roar
25,000
knock in the door
this podcast is
uncalled for
but you called
you called some more
25 K strong
we're sore and high
uncomfortable
we touch the sky
untold every listen's worth more than gold who needs rules when we've got a vibe each plays a spark
each shares a flay listens work more than gold so this is the official uh 25k download uh celebration of the podcast
so i'm glad to be doing this uh some people have been invited um made them friends of the podcast and uh if you do
show up late. I will
legend. I was hoping
this be like a Q&A type thing
but I will take this opportunity to
promote some ideas I have
for the podcast
and other
things going on
project wise
so I'll start
we'll share screen. I'll just start
sharing screen with this
graphic
here
courtesy of the
KC Streetcar
authorita
one of the things
I want to do
for
2026
just time for the World Cup
is do a
documentary on
the
doc
on
I'm going to call it to Secrets of the KC Streetcar.
The idea is based on Jeff Marshall.
I'll probably wind up playing a clip of one of his Secrets of the Underground.
Shorts here a little bit.
that being the case
is what would
this is what would
be a lot of
I think
I think I would do
separate videos in each segment
so start here at the south
at UMKC and then travel north
plaza art museums
South Moreland
Westport
and at Westport we
stop and do a separate
dock on the
East-West line because this
stop will be affected by
that with a
future line going west
to KU Medd and then
Armour we paused right here
between Armour and Union Hill is
Linwood
and that's the other part of that
East West
the line
it would go east
on the way to Van Brunt
and then Union Hill
World Woman Museum Memorial
one would just call it Libre Memorial
like everyone else does
and then
Union stations where
that extension
the new parts
meets the starter line
and as you can see
from the graphic
and this is official
Casey Streetcar
graphic here.
So right here
is where
old meets new.
So
the institution
that just built a second platform
and tied everything together
here. I think just a few
almost a year ago now.
And then it picks up there from the
for the starter line. So crossroads
I'll stop here. I'll stop
here between Crossroads and Kaufman Center is 18th Street.
The streetcar authority recently proposed a study for an 18th Vine line, which would start 18th Street,
about here, going east to the 18th of Vine District.
So we'll probably do a separate video on that.
The study is still underway, as far as I know.
or just getting started, really.
But I will tell you,
haven't recently driven that
parts of 18th Street.
I could think of at least a couple of places
they could put stops.
So that'll be a...
Then Kaufman Center, then P&L,
and Metro Center.
Let's pause here because
the Mid-American Regional Council,
which is like a regional.
body for things like transit projects are doing a green corridor study and it's a huge
one it really should all be some form of rail but unfortunately most of it is
going to be bus going from that the entire corridor goes from Village West and
KCK you know where Sporting Park and the legends and the racetrack
are all the way to Independence Square
and would cover State Avenue and Independence Avenue
and Truman Road.
But they only have a small portion
for a possible streetcar line
and it would intersect with the mainline here at Metro Center.
Go and east not too far, but just to East Village.
where the transit center is and where the ballpark should have been built and should still be built because it's still nothing but empty field.
And west it would go through the west bottom past Barrow Hall, Quality Hill, and through the west bottom into KC and stop at 7th and Minnesota, which is also a bus terminal.
and I should buy Van Brunt on that east-west line is also a bus terminal.
So cool.
And then continuing further, we have the library stop, North Loop,
then the River Market Loop, so we have the St. Market, River Market, North, Web Market, West.
And then this is the Riverfront extension.
Now, right here at the Sting Market, you could, we could do a North.
rail video because it would continue it doubled the size of this loop potentially and go
north of river into north kc and that is also currently under study now you're looking at
this it says river market where's this uh river market north well uh there's little secret
folks um for this uh riverfront extension which opens next year and why i've
waiting until next year for this to open to do a documentary work.
River Market is the new platform going north to the Riverfront,
but the existing platform in the loop is still River Market north.
So it would be a manum and bonk-time situation.
And then Riverfront is the final stop on the current map.
So there's that.
And we'll probably be looking for talents for that project.
You're coming very soon.
So it'd be a really cool.
It'd be pretty cool.
And I'm now going to play for you a little bit, not too much of the Jeff Marshall
clip. This one's specifically
the
South London Trams.
Tram is
in this
case a
the British word for what we
would call streetcars
here in
the states.
So a little bit
Jeff Marshall. And the YouTube channel is
Londonists Limited.
And I think that's going to be enough to
get a
and that's enough and i think it's going to be more than enough to hopefully avoid a claim fair use
all right so there is that all right um yeah you may uh if you are a friend of mine and uh also friend
the podcast, then you probably know I've been continuing to have car troubles. In fact, in April,
my car decided you don't want to work anymore, just completely died. Turns out of any new engine,
I am not willing to part with that car just yet, so I ponied up for a new engine. Seven grand,
if you must ask, and I currently have a GoFundMe to help to help.
pay it down so far we've had a few folks donate to that and I appreciate I greatly appreciate
the donations and trust me none of them are going to waste they are all going down to
pay down this debt so I'm so just want you to be aware of this
You can donate if you want.
I'm not going to beat you over the head with donations.
Everything.
So if you won, I'll go and share that with you as well.
You can find it at this is the GoFundMeety,
assist Mike Chernivsky in Overcoming Car.
Issues.
Phrase $570.
Again, all of it has gone to paying down this debt that I have.
Donations are protected.
And I wish I took a bare photo, to be completely honest with you.
And, yeah, there is a photo of the car while it was.
in the shop
waiting for
the parts of the biggest
reason for
the such long wait
I had a way months
for a new engine
to come in and it is a brand new
engine
I don't wait months
for that
so
I just posted
updates because I
recently got a thousand
miles on this new
engine
and they asked it
so
so
fun thing that happens when you get a new engine
is
after a thousand miles they want to
just take a look
see that you know you're not leaking
oil or anything
that everything looks good
and everything does look good. I just had that
inspection
I think
it's covered entirely by the cost of the engine itself
because it didn't pay anything further
they said yeah everything looks good
what did not look good was after getting it
out initially and having a check engine
lights and starting issues I'm still having the starting
issues but the check engine eyes no more had to wait a couple more
weeks for a wiring harness to properly wire everything and yeah yeah not fun so uh hopefully it'll be a while
before we're having that discussion again but uh the next time we're having this discussion i'm
considering either buying a new car or converting it to an electric vehicle i know
only know of one place in the entire KC Metro that does EV conversions,
and that would be the ignition lap.
So have a bunch of high school kids work on it.
Well, that's a discussion for much further down a road,
hopefully with a more environmentally friendly president,
like unlike the piece of shit we have in there right now.
speaking of which
I have two
episodes in the can
for this
10th season
and
two episodes are already in the can
already on the service
just
ready to be scheduled
and one of them is on
climate change
in fact is a repurposing of a Sunfly Brew episode
specifically because Google
who owns BlockSpot
took down
the Block Spot post
on that specific
episode
all right unfortunately
that podcast we had to cycle everything through
anything so that episode
is long cycled through but I still have
all the
master recordings and all that's so I was like you know what they're going to play that
game we're not just going to talk about climate change I'm going to recycle that
particular episode so you'll be hearing that for season 10 try to stop me
and another episode I already have in the can for this season is the thoughts on the
defunding of public media of course I'll on
A lot of
friends already know this
but I interned
in the public media
specifically my local
PBS station
so I
so I
understand probably better
a lot of people
how
how great benefits
public television
actually is
and not
and we're talking about
the local level
because that was
the first thing
Nick Haynes ever
told me when I was doing my intertorn ship, we only focus on local stuff at this station.
And in our case, local means anything going to do with Kansas City and anything having to come out of Jefferson City or Topeka.
And for those who don't know what I'm talking about, especially our international,
listeners, I know those guys exist.
The state capitals, the state capital of Kansas is Topeka.
The state capital of Missouri is Jefferson City.
And that's where all the politics happened.
So they will, they affect our area because we are pretty much in both of those states.
So I got my thoughts.
on that.
If you can,
donates to your local PBS station
and donates to your local NPR station
as well,
because they do great work.
And they're being unfairly targeted.
It's there.
The closest thing we have to public media in this country,
the closest thing in the BBC we have in this country,
and they deserve our support.
And don't buy for a second that there's a liberal bias going on with these outlets, because there is not.
And don't buy for a second that there's a liberal bias happening at any of our mainstream media here in the states.
And I do talk a little bit more about that.
in that episode.
In fact, there's an entire episode
released available now on
the thoughts on media bias
or like thereof is the title.
And I talk about this sort of stuff.
Most of the rest of the media in our country
is owned by corporations.
That is a fact.
Do you think those corporations are going
to willfully have a,
overtly
progressive
bias, I think not.
There is a separate
right-wing media
apparatus, but
that's a totally
different beast in
everything. I do have a
list of
types of guests I would like to
bring on the podcast.
I'm going to share that with you then.
So go back here.
And let's go instead to...
No, not GoFund me.
Facebook.
So we're on Facebook real quick.
This thing is as slow as all hell.
I'm going to...
Where the heck is it?
Where the heck is it's?
I'm just talking.
And one thing I don't usually do with these videos,
I don't usually post the video,
but I will post this video to our uncalled for interviews.
Let's go.
Podcasts.
It's first posted here, podcast guest collaboration,
community. Find a guest be a guest. Let's click on members. Let's click on
myself. Ah, here it is. Here it is. So, good, well, evening in this case now, but I wrote
this in the morning. Podcast World, I'm preparing for start production on the new season of
this podcast I'm called for. We're coming close to 200 episodes. So for 200, I want to
a live show.
For 200,
for 200 episode,
I really want to do a live show.
But in the meantime,
I want to open the things up
to the podcasting community.
Here are a few topics
I'm interested in exploring.
So,
here are the topics.
So,
yoga and meditation.
Okay, I've gotten a lot of
health experts,
probably some of them do have yoga background as well.
We haven't actually talked about yoga or meditation yet on the podcast.
Impriming public transit, especially in the Kansas City area.
But let's be honest, public transit is an issue everywhere in the U.S.
All right.
We have two car-centric country people outside of a few areas like New York.
Bob's discussions on health and wellness.
I've already gotten a couple of folks lined up just to talk about health and fitness.
Sports discussions are always welcome, especially if you are a fan of the UFL.
I want to get your perspectives on that or a UFL team.
And, of course, film and acting, especially in the KC area,
because most of our guests, if you've a long time, listen,
to the podcast, you know a lot of our guests
are filmmakers and actors
in the KC area.
Chess and other board games,
I am a licensed
TD.
And other topics you might be interested in
but check with me first because
oh yeah, let me show you some of the
comments I have
gotten from
this particular post.
Of course, we're based in Kansas City.
So
if you're in the KC area,
I can meet up with you.
If not, that's what Zoom is for,
and unfortunately we're limited it's in time
because I'm a fucking cheapo.
But yeah, let's look at some of these.
This time.
No, this one's a good one.
This one's a good one.
Shout to Amy for this.
I'm probably not a great fit for your podcast.
Thanks for a minute in advance.
But I'm saying, hi, as I'm also based in the KC. Metrae here.
Side notes.
you mentioned the film industry.
They shut down the grocery store by my house on Wednesday.
This was a week ago.
To film part of a Tadlasso episode and filmed on my friend's streets Monday and Tuesday,
wishing success in the upcoming season.
At which point I told her, well, you know, we have an episode for that with Marnie and Nick.
and I do at least just that episode
to which she responds
oh wow very cool I'll check it out
I hope you do Amy
and then
this one I got mentioned
so so
so Kate I'm going to read your
words here I'm interested
as a holistic
practitioner I help women
overcome relentless
exhaustion
mood swings,
disruptive periods, and PCOS.
What the heck is PCOS?
By naturally bouncing their hormones
and building a life they live.
My clients experience life-changing results
like steady energy,
regular and painless periods,
and even natural pregnancies
through my unique approach
that blends nutrition, mineral
balancing and nervous
system repair. I would love to chat
about the rice epidemic of early
paramenopause.
How I
think that's BS and what's
really going on for women
in their 30s right now.
To which I
initially say, you know, I
appreciate it, so let me think about it.
And then the next morning I'm like,
no, I'm going to pass
because I'm not
I myself and not female
and I have no idea
how many of my listeners
actually are,
but thank you anyway
for your interest in the podcast.
Makes sense.
All right.
Yeah, that's fine.
And I posted in a couple
of other groups
and everything.
So a couple of these folks
I did
contacts have not heard back from.
I can't schedule you
if I don't hear back from you.
And I've got a long
list of people I need.
to get in touch with two.
I'm working on one of my old high school buddies.
So another one coming on.
I will try to get Brother John on the podcast.
I think he'd be great, and he is, in fact, interested in doing the podcast.
So we'll have to find a way to...
I need to stop being lazy and actually contact him.
on that.
I'd love to bring Heather back
to the podcast to do some more
co-hosting
opportunities.
And
full disclosure, I'm working on
my
faction analysis
for a smash-up.
It's going to take
at minimum
four episodes to do.
So I'm waiting for
the rest of the game to
come
out for that's when that will be i cannot say much more other than uh it's under nda so can't talk much more
about it right now uh but yeah there's plenty of uh coach jason as well that'd be a good uh here for you
uh given that he is the
neighbor of Kelsey that
have been referencing
I'd love to hear
and record his
perspective on that whole
situation
so
well it seems that no one's going to be
joining and that's
perfectly all right
people have
things to do
and that's
no that's
it's only fine
and of course everyone that's our that hours repeat is a friend of the podcast so of course you're always welcome back on the podcast and just let me know first
and I think that's going to do it go up on a half hour here so so if you're watching the video portion of it we'll see you
later. If you're listening on the
podcast, I'm going to end
with some audio
from some of the
videos I've been doing
starting my car.
All right.
Just because I've had so many
issues with starting the
damn thing and still I am
especially
when I'm at work
at the office.
It tends to
give me starting problems
there.
in particular.
So we will
leave it that
and I'm looking forward to
this 10th season
of Uncalled
for it. I want to thank everyone for listening
and getting us to
25,000
downloads
on the entire podcast.
It's
nothing compared to some of the bigger
podcasts. They're getting millions
of downloads.
I mentioned Kelsey earlier.
I bet he's getting millions of downloads for New Heights and all respects to him.
And I'm actually listening to Kylie Kelsey's podcast now to the Nekyllis.
And it's quite entertaining.
In fact, two of that expert that was talking about paramenipar.
pause. I think she'd be a more appropriate
to guess for Kylie's
podcast.
Anyway, I think that
will wrap it up for
this edition. And
I will talk to y'all
again very soon.
Thank you once again for your
continued support.
