This Podcast Is... Uncalled For - The Dangers of Rap Battles

When your guest goes a little bit off topic and talks about a rap battle he was judging. From our St. Archuleta's Day episode

Well, check this out. So I know we got a lot to get into and things like that, but you'll find this funny. So, you know, before my career and what I do now, I was a musician, hip hop artist, and I used to tour a lot and things like that. And I was playing Kansas City. All right. This is years ago. We're talking probably 20 years ago. Okay.

And I'm playing in Kansas City. and I was not only was I performing but they had asked me to be a judge in this this rap battle tournament okay and so I'm like yeah all right cool I'll do it you know and this is kind of what it came down to you know like the guys that were involved in this particular tournament there was one guy who was just head and shoulders above everybody else he was just way better than ever done. You know, it was just, it was just his to lose. You know what I mean? Like, he was just awesome. All right. Then there was another guy. He was okay, but he was not even close to this guy's level. Then everybody else just sucked. Everybody else was just terrible. Okay. So, of course, it boiled down to in the, in the, uh, the final, right? You got the guy who's exceptional and then you got the guy who's all right. Okay. And there's like, there's like, like a $500 prize or something on, you know, on the line here. So the guy that was okay, he knew he was going to get beat. He knew it, you know. And so, you know, I don't know what you know about rap battles, but generally, you know, if you go first, you're at a disadvantage. Okay. So the guy, the guy who was exceptional, he just volunteered to go first. He knew. He had, It was in the bag, you know.

And so he volunteered to go first. And he does his thing. The next guy goes and he turns around. He's got his back to the stage, right? He undoes this. You can't tell what he's doing at this point. But what he's doing is he's undoing his pants. All right.

He whips his junk out and turns around and just starts peeing on to kill the other. Like, he just starts pissing on this dude. Now, me, I don't like, when it comes to like rap battle stuff, you know, I don't, I don't, I don't like tricks and props and, like, I just want to hear how good you are and how much you diss the other guy, you know, that, that's what I want, right? the dude that peed on the other guy won everybody voted for that dude except me and i was just like oh man that dude is about to get an ass whooping from somebody because he he just cost that guy $500 and peed on it listen to listen to this and much more on this podcast is
