Hi, everybody, welcome to the podcasts
Once again, we are snowed in.
I don't know when the trucks are coming, if they are at all.
We'll be here again this episode.
We'll see how much longer we had to sit here waiting for the plat trucks to get through.
now and the and it is open for uh the zoom is open for anyone wants to participate
all that we just have any takers today that's fine to just find the ways to
keep us entertained and add content to the podcast so yeah this time let's
give my thoughts on the top fast food chain
I'm being a DoorDash guy
I stopped by a lot of these places
anyway and a lot more
some traditional sit-down stuff
too
so let's do a top 50
fast food chains in America
this is QSR
magazine.com
all right so here we go
go charts
chicken sandwich burger pizza
all right so number one
it should surprise
no one
McDonald's
come on it's class
it's classic man
all right
yeah no
no arguments here
number two
is a Starbucks
I don't know if I would call them
fast food but
here they are
this is fast food
I was just
at Starbucks the other day
actually
before all the bad weather
starting or at the start of the bad weather
or the start of the bad weather
Oh, well, good.
Number three, Chick-fil-A, or as we call it around here, Jesus Chicken.
Always closed on Sundays with a hint of fundamentalist Christianity to it.
But people like it, so, you know,
and I do get a lot of orders from these guys.
number four
Taco Bell
or Taco Hell
depending on you
I'm glad to see
their
refacing some of
their older stuff
menu-wise
like Tustanas
and mix melts
lately
and
the
excellent pizza
back on their
menu
and the
this is a great thing
about technology
to say
the ability
to customize
food
and when you order
it's not get
dirty looks at you
so good
five is Wendy's
Wendy's still good food but
honestly Wendy's if you listen
the customer service has taken a
downturn in the recent years
so please fix that
Dunkin Donuts
number six
all right no question
no issue here
Seven is Subway.
I don't think they're going to be in this sense, but I prefer a good sense to Subway.
But Subway, yeah, I can't argue with that.
Number eight's Burger King.
There are still a couple of Burger Kings left open around here.
So I'm pleasantly surprised that they're still in business.
Nine is Domino's.
I've had better pizza.
And is Chipotle.
And, of course,
he got to quote South Park
whenever we mentioned
Chipotle,
dude,
why the hell
would you keep eating something
that makes your crap blood?
Thank you.
Have you had to put it?
Yeah.
All right.
Number 11 is
Panera bread
or as my
folks in San Luis
will call it
San Luis Bread Company.
Absolutely no issue
there.
I freaking
like Panera
Great Place
to host informal meetings
to Panera
12 pizza, this is my pizza
of choice
13 Sonic
It's okay
It's okay
If you're
going to get anything at Sonic
It's got to be the
Cheeseconies
The Chili Cheese Dogs
14
Pannock
Express, pretty good stuff, if you like Chinese.
15, KFC, which I do think KFC is superior to 16, Popeyes.
But I, Carl, this is my coming out on the subject.
I only ordered Popeye's for the first time within the past year.
and
my way I like their
I like their shrimp
actually so
yeah
17 dairy queen
can't go wrong
with dairy queen
right
although I will say the ice cream
is first superior to the rest of their food
18
Arby's oh yeah
hell yeah Arbys
because if
and no, they don't have a fight for five
anymore but that's
okay
because
no, come on, they
do a pretty good job.
19
is a place I absolutely
refuse to eat at
and that is a jack in the box.
I'm sorry, but
people died
eating their shit.
All right, so
absolutely not.
I will never,
I will never
touch jack in the box i won't even pick up orders from jack in the box if a jacking
box order comes up and i'm doing dooredash uh now pass
pass let someone else uh be uh the vehicle someone's potential demise
uh 20 uh puppy johns um personally not a fan but um but you know we do do a business
with them with doordash so all right 21 little ceasers also not particularly a fan but they do a good job
with um with a door dash and everything uh 22 what a burger uh yeah as uh you as you probably
note that heard uh some dude named mahomes one a couple of super walls and this said uh let's take this
and I am not kidding
there are anyone outside
Texas. It seems like you drive through
Texas and every other
exit it seems like
is a water burger.
Well, now we got
water burgers all over the
KC area and
they do a good job.
They do a good job and
that's
that was my go-to place
to
getting to doctor's appointments.
Actually, my most recent doctor's appointment had to have blood drawn for labs,
and they told me, I don't eat anything for the first few hours before going in.
And after I had the blood drawn, I stopped by Wooderburne and just paid that.
It was a pancake bladder with bacon.
and uh oh and i had burger as well as i hungry uh 23 racing canes this is another one that i get a lot of
door dash requests for and uh you actually have to with that one you have to go in and pay for it
on the red card which i do find a little bit annoying i prefer not to do these but
that's just my opinion
there
if I
absolutely have to I will but I prefer
not to so
24 culvers I know we do have a couple
of them here I have not
tried them myself
25 jersey mics
another DoorDash favorites
and not
tried them myself 26
wing stop same thing
people are
on DoorDash I haven't tried them
myself 27 zaxby's i have had saxpies once
uh meeting with a video client
it's all right it's all right uh 20 jimmy john's
uh jimmy johns is pretty good
jim johns pretty good um 29 is uh five guys
of course I talked with
when I was talking with Luke and Dan
the second time that I
had not tried five guys until
after I'd become a door dasher
and a
decent food
and they do the extra
hit of fries
so they put the fries in
and then they dump fries in
the bag over
everything so
so I think that's pretty neat
30 is hearty
I've not had Hardee's in quite a long time, and really
really don't care to go back any time soon, especially since
they're owned by a hard right-winger.
31 Bojangles did not exist around here, so I've never seen them.
32 is Carl's Jr., which is basically the same thing as Hardee's.
33 Dutch bros, we've been seeing them pop up around here lately.
I have not stuts by.
34 Firehouse subs.
Another DoorDash staple.
And, yeah, the staff do a good job.
I personally am not trying them.
35 In-N-Out Burger does not exist in the Kansas City area.
36 Tropical Smoothie Cafe, another Dordesh staple.
And they do a good job.
Again, I have not tried them myself.
37.
El Pollo Loco.
No is done here.
30 crumble cookies.
Personally, I've never.
add them but
they're another
DoorDash
stable
and you walk in
and oh it smells good
it's
good
and
yeah never
never out of them
unfortunately 39
Kudopa
knock off Chipoli
that's how I would
describe them
40
Shake Shack
well
discussion. My sister worked on the
architecture for the shake shack on the
plaza. And
I have eaten at that
same shake
on a couple of occasions.
And yeah, that's pretty good.
Pretty good. So
those are for me, shake shack.
41 is a crispy cream.
You know, the donuts.
No arguments here.
42, Marco's
Pizza. I've only
stopped by a couple times for DoorDash.
and
yeah
43 is
a del taco
we don't have
any around here
44 macalsters
I love macalsters
they
they were
they're really a good
they're really a go to
a place for
DoorDash
especially mid
pandemic
times they were
the go-to place
it seems like
as soon as I felt like every other order
would have been McAllencers
and their fruit's pretty distant too
45 checkers slash rallies
we really don't have that right here
and it reminds me of the
strong bad
when you introduce the Teen Girl Squad
you're up
you might be on for some rallies
or checkers
or a like burger
whatever you guys got it right here
uh all right
46 freddies frozen custer and steak burghers
uh personally
i would avoid these uh but
uh
people like them
uh 47
church's chicken i have not seen made
churches orders i don't eat
churches
uh
personally
and my mind
thanks to
Cartman
30 for a chicken
I guess you
yeah
48 Papa Murphy
is not really a fan
49 Mose
what the hell is Mose
and 50
Baskin Robbins
ice cream
come on
so that's
their list
on fast food
place
the top 50 fast food
places in the
US
and
some I agree with
some I disagree with
some I have
never been to
simply because they're not here
and
yeah I think that will
actually do it for this
edition
and
I'm going
to stop
share
and
we will
talk to you next time
