This podcast, uncalled for in the summertime, sun on the porch, truth on the line.
Grab your drink, let the chaos shine.
Uncalled for.
All right, good morning, everybody.
So welcome to uncalled for in the summertime.
I'm going to call for this.
So we just got a lot going on this summer.
We're transitioning to production on the 12th season.
And we're already booked for the rest of the year.
Yeah, it's current events still happening.
So it's just a good idea to do like an occasional vlog type of video like this.
And like we did with the Annapot Pomo, we edit it and make it part of the podcast.
So since it is summertime for a third summer row, I'm having made.
major I've had major car troubles.
This vehicle them sitting in
was
had commissioned for
last for a couple of days
as squirrels were eating at the wiring
and
the fuel pump had to be replaced
completely again.
So
it started great with the new fuel pump
that's starting in.
It starts great
and
Everything is so yeah
While I'm here
Today I'm going to shout at a couple
of local museums I got to
go to
during the past
week
First is
the media tech
in the Crossroads
District
In fact there's one block
west of the
Kaufman Center
Streetcar stop
that was a
that's my
film friend
John Trasolo
and then
started
trying to reconnect again
okay
so we're reconnected
and yeah
my
my film friend
John Trasolo
is the
proprietor
of that
establishment
and he wants to
come on the podcast
so
we'll go on the podcast
another museum
I'm going to give a shout to is called Atlas 9.
It's on KC.K.
near the Village West,
area of Ventures east of Village West,
on State Avenue.
The best way for me to describe it is
Science Fiction Funhouse.
I was there for Planning Comic-Con,
volunteers
party was there.
So I went to that.
And also the same day I went to
Midwest Game Fest volunteers, but that was
over at Westport Flea Market.
And they had the burger bar.
There she gets in some of your own burgers.
So I went to that one.
The first time went to Adeline's that for that.
Yeah, it starts off
as a very movie theater
style of setting
but
the rest of this
there's an interactive game
that you're supposed to play
while you're a
special wristbands
to like tap in
and so
if I do recommend
checking the place out at least once
I don't know if I
go there I don't know if I would
go back
again
just
just because it's
to expend
that charge like
40 bucks ahead
just for
a general admission
I only guy
going for free
because it's part
is part of the
volunteer party
but still
check it at least once
and I checked out their website
Seahall
was involved with it
and turned out
we have a friend of the podcast
was involved with it
Jamie Morrow
so
but yeah
great stuff
at various minutes to check out at least once.
Check at least once.
We, of course, have the World Cup coming up.
If you have not listened to David Chimhasa.
You can't please do that soon.
We've got another episode coming tomorrow.
And we've got another World Cup episode coming up on Tuesday.
We have the Architines in downtown.
They're training at sporting facility in KCK,
but they're staying at the origin right across the street from the riverfront stop that just opened last month.
And I have heard, I had heard, I can't confirm this,
but I had heard that Messi took around the streetcar, which would have did awesome.
awesome
we'll just got to see us
uh lay in now
you're doing that
um
I know the Dutch are in town
they
check their training
in Riverside
at the
women's facility
and
staying on the plaza
which of course
we had the English
coming in a day or two
the Dutch and the Argentines
are all right here
but the
but the
um
English, they're supposed to come in either today or tomorrow.
They're staying at the Melbourne Inn, which is not too far from me, actually.
And, yeah, stop in here.
Go to get some of stuff.
Yeah, the Mabba.
And then they're training at Soul Park.
Where, yes, sporting.
Oh, those the fields.
out there.
And Algeria is in Lawrence just as a sign that they flew into KCI.
But, but, uh, but this is the part of the conversation.
Can we stop trying to make Lawrence a Kansas City suburb already, all right?
Um, unless, um, unless developments were to spring up overnight between, uh, Monticello
and Lawrence, shut the fuck up about Lawrence, uh, being part of the.
the metro area it's not going to happen.
It is very rural between the two.
So, all right.
So yeah, I'm not going, these are going to be very irregular little videos and we'll save the audio for the,
because there's some political stuff I want to talk about.
And, and much like I did it with Napot.
Obama with the
MLB and NHL, we need to do one
for the NBA 2, and
the timing could not be more
perfect.
And yeah, there's
pretty cool summertime shit I want
to document.
This is going to have to be the way to do it
because we are books until
the end of the year.
Season 11
is already, mostly in the books
where I'm finishing
one episode.
the National Nude Day episode, which will be released on the National Nude Day, which is July 14th.
So keep out for that one.
All right.
So I'm going to go get some stuff, and we will be back with my thoughts on their free NBA team.
All right.
So this is the seconds of our summertime.
Series C
What that's going on?
Got sunlight behind me, unfortunately.
So I did promise,
yeah, my thoughts on every team in the NBA
because I already did for baseball
and I already did for hockey,
so why not do it for basketball,
especially with the finals happening
and those fucking Knicks
one game away from winning it.
So,
let's get the Canadian team out of there, Toronto.
Toronto Raptors.
I own a Toronto Raptors
Jersey
from when
Trucey McGrady was
with the team
and McGrady's
always been one of my favorite players
probably
and
and they won a title
a few years ago
so
so yeah
so yeah
Raptors
Alabama
Arizona Phoenix
Sons
I won't
I'd call myself a son's fan,
mostly because I'm...
I was not particularly fan of Barclay,
even though he is one of the more entertaining guys in NBA history.
I love the opening scene from Forget Paris,
the Billy Crystal film where he plays a NBA ref,
the very first scene.
It was San Antonio and Phoenix.
It was in Phoenix.
Phoenix.
Barclay was just a tad late.
He got the buzzer for the winning shot.
He gets whistled.
He has whistled.
That is all bullshit.
Flaky white stuff.
California.
Oh, boy.
California.
There are I think four teams in California.
Lakers, let's get them out of the way.
Lakers.
I don't think it gets a moralage date than the Lakers.
Depends on the era, I don't necessarily call myself a Laker fan.
You can't deny their history.
And, of course, how are they the Lakers?
If there are no lakes in Los Angeles,
they were originally from Minneapolis, the land of 10,000 lakes.
Some clippers.
To describe the clippers,
aside from chronic underachievers.
Cool, they have their own arena now.
Now let's translate that into winning.
It's being a winning Golden States, the Warriors themselves transplanted from Philadelphia.
And they've been fairly successful in recent years with Curry and all that.
There was that four-year stretch where the finals were Warriors and...
Cavaliers
with
Golden States
winning three of them
because Cleveland
did win the one.
So
they also gave us
literally a three rolls.
Kings,
Second Amendment of Kings,
I
Spoiler to anyone who's
new to the podcast.
I'm based in Kansas City
and the
Sacramento basically stole them from us
but we stole them
We shared them for a little bit with Omaha, but we stole them from...
But we stole...
Am I still here? Come on. There we go.
Yeah, we stole the Kings from Cincinnati.
Please wait while your transaction is being promised.
Thank you.
Okay.
Yeah, we're getting the car.
Getting the car wash, that's right.
So yeah, I'm actually a Kings fan because they were stolen.
Colorado, so we're talking Denver, and that is the Hockey Cronkies.
So right now they can go fuck themselves.
But historically, they got us Carmelo Anthony, who I was a fan of in his college days.
because they beat KU and the
championship.
So, yeah, that's
that's ever connected.
D.C., Washington,
I don't know if I have a,
I don't know if I have a
strong opinion about the wizards.
I do like the name of Wizards
better than the bullets.
Lebole.
The curse
Le Bule.
that team is cursed
Florida that's
well Miami heats
they've won
they made them
their relevant team
on the backs of D Wade
and LeBron
and Shaq
yeah
so
no really ill feelings
towards the heat
no
magic
same thing for the most parts
although
uneasy with
their association
with Amway
A free-sclean product is now being applied to your vehicle.
Georgia, Alan Hawks.
Don't really concerned myself a fan.
I'm also very well aware that their only championship game when they were a St. Louis team.
So, how good is that?
How interesting is that?
St. Louis has won in every major sport, but they can't see the game.
certain teams around, like the Hawks.
The Hawks, the Kama'emba, the late Kama'ememu, play for them.
North Thursday.
He also played for, Sanford, in Philadelphia and Houston.
The Hawks.
Of course, but I'm not a Bulls fan.
The Bulls lost me officially in 2003 when they drafted that.
bread piece of garbage out of the chicken hawks.
And the Hunt Family Association
doesn't help at all.
That's about Indiana.
This is my team, Indiana Pacers.
And I wish we didn't want a year ago,
but we came close and then
Halmarket's hearts, unfortunately.
And I would love to see us when
in 2000, when the Lakers
beat us.
But, yes, I am a Pacer's fan.
I'm a big Reggie Miller fan.
Reggie doing this
towards Spike Lee.
Still very much a Reggie fan.
There's a great video. I think it was
within the last year
of Reggie talking with Obama.
Very well-known Chicago.
fan Barack Obama.
That's the Pacers.
Pelicans,
terrible name.
Terrible name,
but
I would say
a new name, but they already found it
because these were the original
Charlotte Hornets.
But, you know, I am not a fan of the name.
Pelicans at all.
So,
the two straight on the courts.
Come up with a bad name.
That's just Celtics,
much like the Lakers
classic
gold standard
team in the NBA
I own a Rajon Rondo
Jersey
In fact the awards
during the
French festival previews
a couple years
I was trying in
podcasts
for French
yeah that's the Celtics
Michigan
Pistons
fuck off
Minster, Timberwolves.
Fun fact, I actually got to walk into the Tarjeet Center when I was in Minneapolis.
Because, yeah, that arena is actually in the Minneapolis sky block system.
So I walked from the convention center to Tarje Center,
which is right across the freeway from where Tarje Field got built.
So how cool is that?
Got to see that.
I wish the team was better.
Got an asterisk there,
because Vegas is supposed to be in a team.
Sure, not anymore.
No, okay, two teams with New York.
So fuck the Knicks.
Be hit Pacers fan.
Fuck Spike Lee.
The Nets, the Brooklyn Nets,
no strong opinion.
Very interesting
design for their
Barclays at the center
arena. Where?
Charlotte?
I think they're
a case
as ancient because you're a great player.
Does it make you a great owner?
To one Michael Jordan
specifically. That's the one that
used to hate the cavaliers
and then they tried to LeBron and they start
getting good under LeBron.
So one of those scenes
that
I'm fairly
I'm fairly neutral on, but this goes out to the future.
Mrs. Kelsey, I would rather pull for the Cavaliers than the next any day in the week.
Yeah, I saw the photos from last night.
Travis clearly failed in the beginning to like the Cavaliers thing.
That's all.
So that's Ohio.
Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Thunder.
should never have left Seattle.
And I'm still a little butt hurts
than beating my Pacers last year
in the final.
Yeah, that's, I don't know what I'm saying?
Morgan, that's the Portland Jail Blazers.
Cool logo, but probably the coolest logo
in the NBA, if he has me,
but jail brother Blazers, he gave us Rossweed,
Wallace, Pennsylvania is 76ers.
I recall my first basketball had Dr. J. J. Julius serving his signature on it.
But when one of those standing things, they put the athlete signature on,
with not having a Viverson from the most parts.
So I'd say I'm neutral in the Sixers.
South Carolina, South Carolina, so that's good.
Tennessee, Memphis Grizzlies.
Hey, Memphis can support a team, just not in the NFL, unfortunately.
I'd say I'd say I'm mixed on the grizzlings, because they haven't been great.
But they've had that moments.
Texas, okay, we got three to knock out for Texas.
Mavericks.
Certainly when Mark Cuban
bought the team
definitely a fan.
They've won. San Antonio
and they had the Spurs.
And certainly
when they had Robinson, the fellow
Navy man, and
Duncan
that has them
at their finest, I think.
And hopefully they
turned shit around. And then next
three games
because I'll be god-dand if the
fucking Knicks
winning. And
Houston, that was the only NBA game I ever attended
was a Houston Rockets
game. I have family in
Houston and
this is when Yom McGrady were
playing for them in 2006
and I got to
them play at
so I know it's at
so that there.
Never got to see them play at the sum of those, which is a shame,
especially since that is a church now.
So that's Texas.
Utah, the Jazz.
Every Mormon I know is a jazz fan.
They are basically the official team of the Church of Jesus Christ,
the Latter of the Saints.
But they've had their moments.
Wow, the sun is bright today.
That's Utah from my first.
Washington
Seattle, let's get those
Sonics back in
that's just like I said
for Vegas
an asterisk
well put an asterisk
for Seattle
getting the
supersonics
back
no
I was Virginia
and we end
with Wisconsin
with the Bucks
and a good job
winning
a title a couple of years ago
I'm neutral
on the Bucks
but I will
I will tell you
this is a preview
for season 12
coming up
we had
Mandy Bryce
as one of our
Snowden
guests
and this is
probably to tell you won't
here
because
I stopped
the recording
before
she brought this up
but
she told me
that her
husband
is the personal
trailer
of Janis
on that
on that
team
I'm not going to
try to pronounce
his last name
but
you know
what I'm talking about
so
Yeah, I think that's everyone in the NBA.
All right.
All right, here we go.
So, hey, everybody.
So I am at the Sugar Creek Slothic Festival.
Helen Annual, here in the Sugar Creek, Missouri, just north of Independence.
Very near where the Truman Library is.
Got here really early, but they are already set up.
We got stage right there.
The Kabasi shop.
Oh, we got some baked goods right there.
We have the liquor.
How's going?
The shirt.
The Pulska.
Peace love of Pulska.
I'm still not quite sure what that is.
Here's a Kabassi shop.
I'll be back with you in there a little bit.
And it's just a small sampling of what we got going on.
A lot more has happened just up the hill.
This is the Mike Onka Community Center.
And a lot of stuff goes on in here.
So we're going to march on up the hill.
and
yeah let's
take a look
so yeah
this is a pan-slovak
thing
we'll see
Russian
no no we want to see Russians
here why am I thinking
probably we should see Russians
but
we don't
want some of
Polish we'll see Ukrainians
Czechs
Slovak's
I'm going to turn the camera around
You want water?
Alright.
Cool.
Really cool guy.
Got some more beer.
Pove Tizza.
We got out here.
Alright, thank you.
Alright.
We got Croatians in it today.
That's just smells pretty good.
Yeah.
Just turn this back around.
So we have that.
Nice little haul.
It smells really good. I see a Ukrainian flying over there.
And there has a folks in front of me that show these I would love to show you from this.
But it's going to show you.
So this cool stuff.
This is the South of American patrons.
Wall of Honor.
That's cool.
You have some
Viz Czechoslovakian pottery.
There's some Slavic Nessi.
I know you were a half a merit of these.
We usually associate these with Russia.
There we got.
Slavic missions
Oh yeah, I know about
All right, oh here's the cool part, so
Slavic missions
We have Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech
North Missileia
Yeah
Forbes, Ethianians, Polish, Russian, Serbia, and Slovakia.
And I'm not with the Slavic countries as well.
And flags.
All right, so I hope I have a good time here for the next couple of hours.
I probably not to drink this time, just because it is hot and I got a drop on afterwards.
Alright
So, I still at Slavic Fest, so again be here for a while.
But, uh, apple's, it's particular some food.
So big old, uh, kabbassi dough right here.
Got some mustard kitchen and chips.
This is a povite-a.
It's a dessert loaf.
This one, this particular one is an apple cinnamon.
cinnamon. Shout to Strawberry Hill,
Petitza for being here to...
There are a lot of flies here, so I'll go ahead and eat this
and watch, hey Ray, which is one block east
because we're starting our journey today
down the streets from the very big hill
Museum of the Memorial Stop on the streetcar
which is currently set up for FIFA.
That's there.
I guess you could get it for free,
but I haven't tried yet.
But that part of the Main Street is blocked off
to anything that is now a streetcar.
Is it driving?
You gotta go around.
And that doesn't probably work on.
Move it, bitch!
Sorry, there's someone in front of me
that's taken their sweet time.
Okay, I do it.
But yeah, on Gillam Road, Our Lady of Sorrows, Catholic Church.
I'm going to have to step in, to turn this place out.
This is a longer a Protestant Catholic.
But to my left right now, this is where the Royalty Ballpark, who are going to go,
where Hallmark's headquarters is.
Of course, building itself is actually quite large.
This break in the road office building.
I'm still on Gillum, but I could have turned around.
and that becomes Pershing.
It's a Sharton now,
but this is, when you hear about the Hyatt incident,
that's immediately what the hell.
That's immediately to my left right now.
And this one is to, oh, fuck you to,
talk about what's going on with the North Rail Projects.
So, yeah, we've got the two extensions now open.
So you take a, so yeah, yeah,
can take a streetcar from you know KC to the front and then back.
The series of the city's street judge Marshall just past where a
Gillen becomes oak but yeah they held a open house they as they'll hold an identical
open house said this week if you're in the Kine City you want to learn more about
about it was told better than I could describe it.
The North Market area.
The one I went to on Thursday,
and it was actually up north in the North Cape C,
which is also the streetcar over Timo Ma Center to my left here.
It would take the streetcar over the Missouri River into North Kent City.
And as a friend of the matter, it's all Northland, not the Missouri River,
but North Kansas City is its own own suburb
Unclosed by Kansas City
Kansas City North is Kansas City proper
North of Missouri River
So that's out of the way
They broke out up in the three stages
The first stage
How are we going to get the track across the Missouri River
There was a lot to talk for a long time
I'm just putting it's on the heart of America
bridge, which is the bridge I'm heading to.
I'm going to use to cross the Missouri River.
I can see City Holmes my right now.
So for a while, they actually talked about putting track
in the Heart of American Bridge.
But now it sounds like they're just going to build a new...
They're thinking about just building a new bridge that we have a streetcar home
that would cross.
across the railroad.
How that, and it would run parallel to the Harvard America,
like right next to it, you know.
Similar to how with this,
with the riverfront extension just opened last month,
actually, so the road front hasn't been open very long.
But to go with that extension,
they built a pedestrian bridge right next to the bridge
that already exists that they put the bridge
in looking still a drive and they looked at all different types of bridges including
bridges to the west of our America and even they even looked at a bridge spring
and starting off from the riverfront stop but okay that's probably going to cause
some problems but I like the idea of a guy if that's the way they didn't
Yeah, is it really like, no, you know, to do the, do the separate river.
And then north of the river into actual North Kansas City, it's pretty straightforward that they want to do.
So it would be five stops.
North of the river, the first one would be at 10th in Burlington, which is the first lights that you go across the river.
Burlington being the main streets, I'll take care of that, Texan, a moment, across street.
East West.
So turn on then.
So from that stop,
you'll turn on the 10th Street
and then go a couple of blocks before.
It turns again on to Swift Street,
Taylor version,
flipped with four stops, I think it's 14th to 18th,
the 23rd and then 29th would be determinists
with the provision that they could go
with future developments
up North Oak traffic way.
And then off to
Riverside and Parkville, which to me suggests that is the possibility of how you could get to the airport.
It just makes more sense doing it that way than trying to go north of over.
So yeah, basic geography to that idiot who tried to shout me down on that, on Reddit.
South the River, they want to stop that at Columbus Park.
The neighborhood, they were on the other side of the
of the Arab of America from the River Market
and I'm just getting on the Heart of America right now.
So Columbus Park is to my
and the question splits.
Two of them, I would say
one of them, definitely I would not say
because I would take away the phone.
Preserve that functionality of that.
And cross different parts of the
such. That's something I think could happen.
They're going to try the normal.
Bowers, Kansas City.
It's an avenue, okay.
I thought it was 10th Street, so no, it's 10th Avenue.
This couple blocks, Swift is the next,
Swift Street is pretty wide,
but safely put street cars here.
And the drawings I'm seeing
they're looking more at
central running,
center line running.
Pretty cool.
So these are not streets, these are avenues.
Tenth Avenue.
10th Avenue, well I guess 14th Avenue, 18th Avenue, 23rd Avenue.
Yep, 14th Avenue, so there'd be a stop right here.
And they're also looking at center platforms,
in a double-sided center platform along this route in the middle of the street.
Tell them the guy, if they did continue up a north boat,
I might not even have to make this drive anymore,
especially if it's in Norfolk and Englewood
and I was on the reception of the way
walked in
let's get Johnson County
and blind stud
study started already
at all to a front of office
still to drive to all the schools
but the office
they could just
to trick our systems
he did not have a timeline
on when they wanted to do this
the extra time
for the bridge now so all right once again it's summertime
on call for style summertime and if you're in the United States I hope you're
having a good time and it sounds like so you are having a good time with our
cuisine and all that stuff so
So let's read this.
So from, this is
USA Today.com from
in and out to Taco Bell.
Europeans
discover American food
on World Cup trips.
One German has gotten so much attention
documents in his love of Waffle House
and Taco Bell
that he's gained more than half a million followers
including NFL great
JJ Watts.
Credit to Amanda Lee,
for writing this dated today, June 14.
All right, so AI overview.
Let's read this summary.
So, oh, what the hell?
Okay.
Or maybe not.
I would just read the article.
So, or what the fuck are you people doing to me?
Okay.
At, as soccer fans from all around the world,
descend on American cities for the World Cup,
They're falling in love with a huge part of U.S. culture.
Cranchrap Supremes, bagmacks, triple dippers,
and the condiment beloved by even the snobiest American.
Germand, I've never seen that word before in my life.
Ranch dressing, or as the Swifties would call it, seemingly ranch.
So we have visitors from Ireland, England, Scotland, Germany, and more are documenting their world wind food tours of the U.S.
in social media posts that are going viral and injecting U.S. viewers with a healthy dose of American pride,
just in time for the nation's 250th birthday, fuck Trump.
so we have
Leia Ray
I'm a British
I'm an English girl
in and out
and trying to double
double cheeseburger for the first
time look how cute
it comes in this
little tray
apologies
Leah we actually don't have
in and out here in Kansas City
so
so
So you're our first, I will have to live through vicariously, Miss Ray.
It was massive.
A term I've learned that the English really love massive.
So it's crispy, salty, fluffy, everything in one.
And Ray has been thoroughly documented American travels with the to the lie for many new new
viewers. She thought
Chipotle was
so good.
For those of
you who are South Park fans, you probably
know that
Chipotle makes you crap blood.
Why the hell would you keep eating something? It makes you crap
blood. I enjoyed chicken and waffles and ranch
dressing for the first time at IHop.
The pancake place,
not the cult.
Where's she?
she initially
where she
initially
thought
a side of
butter
was
ice cream
much
the amusement
of American
commenters
who are
still teasing
her
about it
so you're
not the
first person
that Ms.
Ray
to have
a mistaken
identity
at
at IHop
I seem to
recall
ordering
fried
shrimp
there
and
expect
cocktail sauce and was given ketchup.
Here's her...
Oh, they posted her tweets here.
Everyone's been asking for it,
so here's a British girl's full review of In-It Out.
For America, I thought it was quite affordable at $4 a burger.
It's similar to five guys,
but it definitely edges it.
And we do have five guys around here.
And it's actually,
a person for the girl of Dordash
orders from.
Everyone
everyone's saying
that I should try
animal style
next time.
What should I try?
Okay.
There we go.
She's cute.
Anyway, now we have
let's move on.
One German
whose handle is
at Freddie L.A. 7
has gotten so much attention
documenting his love of Waffle House and Taco Bell.
They gained more than
a half million followers, including an NFL
great J.J. Watt, who apparently just
hooked him up with a luxury hotel room
in Houston.
I have the Sunday, June 14
match between
Germany and
Carousal.
Fun facts, today I learned my
dad didn't even know where Carousal
was located.
It is in the Caribbean.
It is a country
within the kingdom of the Netherlands
near Aruba.
and Bonner
off the coast of
South America
and oh yeah
so these places
was a waffle I've actually
never eaten in a waffle house
and I know we have a couple in our area
including one in the KC King
but never
eaten there
Taco Bell
Taco Bell is perfect
two quotes
Big C on this podcast
got to put away that Taco Bell
Oh, talk about it.
And JJ Watts, yes, legend in American football played for the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals,
is now part owner of Burnley Football Club, which just got relegated from the Premier League.
And it's also been known to ask about people's wiping habits.
going to one fucking menace to society
A.J. Hawke.
David Watts said,
Welcome to Houston, Freddie.
Freddie, whose last name is unclear.
That's fun.
You just have your handle to go by.
That's fine.
I coined a phrase being spread far and wide
on social media.
The European mind can't comprehend this.
Brady wrote on a post of a picture
of a massive stadium on Auburn, Alabama
with a jaw-dropping sunset in the background.
The phrase is now being used to describe the awesomeness of things
that are uniquely American
from the size of a Bucky's gas station
to the huge selection of electric fans at Walmart.
We are currently getting a
Buckees built in KCK near the
race track
and Walmart well
you know my opinion on Walmart so
then I have my business in 10 years
and counting
so
if I want an electric fan I'd probably
sooner go to a tarje than
Walmart
but early in this trip
Freddy posted a picture of a fisiad
ordered a Taco Bell and
captured it, the Holy Land.
I don't know about that.
Yeah, you can
get a lot of good food at
a Taco Bell, but don't expect
it to be actually Mexican
or authentically Mexican.
That's where you go to
locally for us.
We have this thing called the KC
Taco Trail.
Plenty of Mexican restaurants.
authentic Mexican restaurants throughout Kansas,
and a long place called Rudy's.
There's Tanampa Takaria.
So I'll give them a shout out because they have a couple locations called one in Lenoxa I'm into.
And they kind of sort of got a shout out on New Heights from Travis,
you know, the Kelsey that lives here in that place here.
where is it
jason was like
no I'm not going to a taco spot
called Rudy's
okay
so yeah
he called Taco about the Holy Land
and another post showing chicken tenders
and fries at Raisin Cains
he wrote
Lives were changed
so
Raisin Cains
oh he
Oh
eyes were changed
so
yeah that's
Raisin Cains
and
has he
exterior of raising canes
uh raising canes that's one
i haven't tried myself
but
we had plenty of requests for that on
Doordash
and uh
what's an able about them is we have to go in and place the order
ourselves
so
but uh
my two of the credits uh raising
canes folks are quite nice people
so other posters have
uh
praised the U.S.
for his air conditioning. Thank you for that.
I agree.
I tend to agree.
The general kindness and openness
of its residents. Well, we try.
I try. And for us,
how seeing things like
school buses and Twinkies
were just like the movies.
Yeah.
I agree there.
Twinkies.
Meanwhile,
Americans are loving the
positive attention from my nations
that have been known to poke fun
and it's much younger neighbor
across the pond.
Do I care about soccer?
No.
One woman wrote on one of the posts.
Do I love the World Cup content right now
because it makes me feel patriotic?
Yes.
All right.
Soccer is not that hard of a sport
to get into, folks.
One Texas lawyer observed,
it made me realize we do have culture
and
some of it's weird
but still culture and I would agree
there too
I agree there too
we've been taught
our
as I've been taught my whole life
that America is a cultural
melting pot
you know we
and I think that's
that
I think that's
proven by exactly these
experiences that
everyone's
writing about, we just take it for granted
on 420%.
So yeah.
Sam Mandel
in American content created
a living in Winchester, Virginia
has been so entertained
by the foreign tourists
trying U.S. food
that he even
created a believable
parody about it,
pretending to be a Brit,

and the post has nearly
650,000 views

oh I'm sorry
I'm sorry
this guy's not giving me

I am currently holding on to

for free Jesus chicken

so I will be
making use of that this week
perhaps
everyone just don't hate me for uh i like i do like the occasional jesus chicken but no i just don't
make it habits of it because it is insanely expensive uh trying to compare to um
sort of compared to like a kFC or something um so with the world cup lasting until
july 19 final at metlife stadium in new jersey
He expects there to be plenty of more
Foreigner Food Reviews.
I'll be seeing it all over my feed.
He told him to the USA Today on June 14.
Honestly, I can't stop watching something about it so riveting.
All right.
So, and I thought I saw something about,
or heard something about Golden Corral.
the buffet chain and full disclosure here.
I do like the Golden Corral.
When Rick Daniels was on, we talked about the Golden Corral.
I like buffets in general.
The big two, yeah, Golden Corral is a big one.
Get your salads, get your nachos.
and how are you like it
burgers, steaks,
shrimp,
why everyone,
for the most part.
I think that's a great experience
of American food culture,
the Golden Corral.
And the other
buffet, of course, is
Louisiana and Blue Springs,
which, of course, is a Pan-Aussian
buffet, mostly
Chinese
but they do
serve sushi
and
they have a
Mongolian grill
there
as well
so yeah
buffets are a great way
to experience
American culture
I am surprised no one's
written about KC
barbecue yet
but again I'm
recording this before
Dave family
played a match
at Airhead.
They're supposed to play. I think their first game
is on Tuesday
this weekend.
But I've
heard good things, but
the fan fest they're
doing at the Ream Memorial.
And all that.
And I will agree with a lot
of the criticisms.
18 bucks is too much for a beer.
7 bucks is too much for a soda.
But the
trade off of making the thing free to attend
provide you have the rights
the right credentials and stuff
so
so it's similar to my experience
at the draft a couple years ago
before the street car
extension was even open
all right
it was still in the middle
being built
at the time
but
that was my experience
yeah we got it for free but the trade
off is all the food was
ridiculously overpriced
you know
so
so yeah I totally get
from that that point of you
all right
I think I'm going to pause here
I'm going to see if I can find any more
article
on this to read and if I do, there'll be a part two.
All right.
Everybody, we are once again uncalled for in the summertime.
I promised a part two if I found more oracles regarding the World Cup and fans experience there.
But before I do that, I do want to give a quick shout to the fans of Japanese
team
the samurai
blue
and
they're a very interesting
custom
of after the game
is over
you know what they do
they
do after the games
they clean up after themselves
they actually
they actually
I saw photos where they were
they had trash bags
laid out at Jerry World
before the game
and then after the game
they're cleaning up
after themselves
it's just a
really interesting
quirk of Japanese culture
one I wish I'd
dip to the
before taking Japanese
but
is what it is
but yeah let's
talk more articles
about the World Cup
so this is
Newsweek via Yahoo
What World Cup tourists discovering about America from fast food to costs by Alice Gibbs and Newsweek?
So 26 World Cup is bringing millions of international visitors to the U.S., and many are finding that everyday American life is almost as entertaining as the soccer self.
from locked up shampoo and giant portions to Bucky's pit stops and eye-watering Uber fares.
Fans are turning their culture shocks into viral content.
The tournament expanded from 32 to 48, making this the biggest World Cup ever staged and drawing more than a million international visitors across North America.
as fans move between host cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Panama, Jamaica, Peru.
Social media has become an unofficial travel diary,
capturing real-time reactions to American food prices,
transports, and culture far beyond the stadiums.
From mac and cheese to megacize, everything.
So one of the visitors documented in his journey is Scottish fan Sean Cumming,
whose video is exploring American food and culture have attracted widespread attention online.
The food here is very, very good.
I think in general, the food here is just better seasoned than that in the UK.
Here, you get flavor, you get fed well.
they put a lot of spices herbs and seasoning into the internet food in general which just makes it really good
to which i'll just go i acknowledge the british comic eddie isa who uh wants a dear regina uh which you can find on
YouTube comparing
British English
with American English
he said
well
you in America you say
herbs and we say
herbs
because there's a fucking
H in it
so a coming who arrived in
New York after traveling from
Enberg said
differences in day-to-day life
are immediately
noticeable.
And here's the guy in front of
Buckies.
Which once again, we're
getting one of those
in Kansas,
just south of
the racetrack.
On the way to Conrados, but
not quite
people are very positive, enthusiastic,
and they're not shy at all.
They
will tell you how they
feel for good or for bad.
And sometimes
for British people that could catch us
off guard a little bit.
Yeah, the American
culture can feel more open
than in the
UK.
Like I said yesterday,
the U.S. culture is a
melting pot of cultures
from around the world.
So it's
kind of part of our DNA.
I think people are
generally speaking more open here in the States. I think in the UK we can be
a bit closed sometimes. Scale is another defining feature. Everything's bigger in every
way. The vehicles are bigger. The buildings are bigger. Similar observations are flooding social
media as visitors documents everything from store layouts and restaurant portions to
road trip culture and everyday interactions.
Some posts have generated millions of views.
And one German fan, this might be the same guy that we were talking about earlier,
chronicling six-week road trip across America.
It's built a large, following by reacting with amazements to late-night Welfa-house visits,
Walmart runs, stops at Buckees,
places many Americans barely
think twice about.
The locked up
shampoo mystery.
So this is Swedish
fan Elsa
Thora. Went viral
after discovering toiletries
locked behind
anti-theft cabinets
in a
U.S. store
a practice uncommon
in much of
Europe.
Okay, I guess this was going to
eventually my first negative experience why is one item locked up yet others other items the
same price isn't I believe clearly English is not our first language I mean they did say
just as she's Swedish I think so English lesson here so why is one item locked up yet
other items of the same price aren't.
This is clearly
at Walgreens, and yes,
Walgreens does lock certain
things up
to give them from being stolen
because these are higher
quality products, I
guess. It's a
practice that baffles me, too.
And I'm someone who practically lives at
Walgreens.
The post on
Twitter, we're not calling it X.
Here. Gained more than
920,000 views as Elsa
revealed the unexpected culture shock.
Falling in love with US food
and
there's that
video with the
cute British girl again.
If
there is one area where visitors seem United's food coming.
So the variety across different regions stood at the most.
The food changes depending on where you are.
Knowing regional traditions and immigrant influences create very different experiences from one state to another.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I agree.
And, oh, there's a different video with this girl.
So, all right.
Might be the first British school to try this video.
Well, since we're getting Brits on the podcast,
we might as well reach out to this gal.
But there we go again.
Hang on.
And I hope.
You've never seen this before in my life.
It's got ranch dressing and ice cream.
And we've got all these sources to try here.
I've never tried Rance before either.
say that's just try the rancher.
That's good chicken.
That's good chicken.
I did hear that.
Yeah, that's good chicken.
I'm pretty sure that's not ice cream.
That looks like butter.
And I think that was addressed as the other day.
That's better.
Of course, any swifties seeing this
would probably know that as seemingly ranch.
You know, from the first time Taylor went to a chief scheme.
seemingly ranch
high costs and unexpected
fines
not all reactions have been positive
particularly when it comes to price
as an American I will agree
especially with
the jackass in chief
taking a second run
and on this
shit but
it is
extremely expensive here is a shock to
the system for people arriving here for the
first time says coming.
It also pointed to
transport costs as a standout
example.
We came
into Brooklyn and cost $150
in an Uber.
If we paid
$130 for
a Uber in the UK,
you'd go a lot
further distance.
And to this, I will agree that
well, A,
is Brooklyn.
Brooklyn in general is going to be much more expensive than other parts of the country.
Just last week, I had to take an Uber from my auto shop.
If you saw the first summertime video, we did here, yeah,
the fuel pump removed and the squirrels were eating at my wires.
That only cost $15.
15 bucks just for two miles so it so Uber costs are going to vary depending on
the where in the country you are what time of day what's available because they'll
so Uber will give you another number of options and also you can also time
it so that could be cheaper
Um, but let's continue with the article.
Another visitor posting on X, Skyler Sky 3, shared how she saw someone get fined for jaywalking.
I just saw someone get fined $100 for crossing the middle of the road in America.
Does this happen often? I've never seen it happen in the UK at all.
to which I will address Ms. Skyler here.
Yes, especially in Kansas City.
I see way too much people not using the crosswalk properly
or using a crosswalk at all, especially along the streetcar corridor.
You'll see a couple of idiots.
I swear to God, every time I drive
the streetcar corridor I see at least one or two morons
trying to cross the street
not a crosswalk or try to cross at crosswalk
when their fucking light is red
that you don't get killed
doing that
you don't get killed doing that shit
so obey the traffic lights folks
that's it's very simple
stuff
and I've also learned in the last year
that jaywalking actually originated from Kansas City
because of shit I just described
American
America through foreign eyes
for many of visitors however the appeal
is simply seeing everyday America up close
soccer journalist from Japan
Tetsuya Takeuchi
shared a photo of Tennessee
Streets with a caption
It's a fair
It's view so stunning
It feels like a lie
And yet another Japanese journalist
Maai Kozugi

Where she wrote

It feels so
Similar that you'd think
You'd come home
there's

I don't know
all those

so I
but
uh

I can read

I can't read

but
this kanji

you know as millions of fans continue arriving throughout the tournament their videos are
creating an unexpected side story to the World Cup one focus not on goals and results
but giant pickup trucks supermarket culture diner food and the quirks of daily
American life for visitors like coming that's exactly what makes this trip memorable
I share my experiences of traveling and other stuff,
and I really enjoy doing that.
He said,
should we try to get this?
So, yeah, this is the second time we've appeared in some of our media.
So I'll consider a...
And I am clearly not shy about having Brits
on
so this is
a delish.com
a delish.com I guess
we're
calling it
seven American foods
international World Cup fans
can't stop raving
about online
all right so
key points
international
world cup fans are discovering
classic American foods
and chains across the U.S.
Buckees, Taco Bell,
ranch dressing
Waffle House and big gulps are among the biggest culture shocks
Many visitors are especially stunned by the portion size
Free refills and sheer excess of it all
Delish.com
You've probably had Taco Bell Waffle House and the good old 7-11
Big Gulp and many times in your life
I will repeat why said previously
I have never been to a Waffle House.
But Taco Bell I've absolutely been to.
And 7-Eleven, I don't do 7-Eleven much anymore,
but I am very well aware of the big gulp,
the big, the monster drinks.
That said, if you have taste and grew up in the United States,
as I did, for people who have,
fall into the latter camp,
though, our most
quintessential American foods are apparently
thrilling novelties.
The former
group is simply a lost
cause.
Oh, geez.
As international
fans descend on the U.S.
for the 2026 World Cup,
they're discovering a whole new way of life
one built around 30-ounce
sodas, seemingly
ranch dressing. I added this seemingly part. And crunch wrap Supremes.
CrunchRope Supreme, by the way, for those of you outside of the United States,
that's a Taco Bell dish. Basically, the best way to describe it is a to stata with all the
fixings on it wrapped in a tortilla. When many of us take
granted international visitors treat as full-blown cultural landmarks.
I assume the same way Americans would a few international cuisine.
So the best analog here is I don't think we do have Japanese restaurants here and we do have sushi here in the States.
but I don't think
outside of maybe New York
I don't think you'll find
any place
in the United States
that's going to serve you
Fugu
that would be
blowfish
which
famously will kill you
if you
if you prepare it
improperly
which is why
Japanese ships trained
for years
to properly
prepare that fish.
So,
so yeah,
one of us take for granted
international visitors
treat as full blown cultural
landmarks across social media.
Travelers have been documenting
their fascination with these American
staples and marveling
at portion sizes
that seem to defy
both physics and
nutritional labels. Without further
due, here are the foods, restaurants,
or fast food stops,
World Cup fans
cannot stop rafing
about online.
Sean,
Mr. Cumming again,
the European mind
cannot comprehend
intoxicatingly good
these things are.
Yes, I am,
yes, I was
the European mind.
Wrote on X about
Bucke's Beaver Nuggets
while documenting his work
World Cup trip around the U.S.
A place like this can only exist in America, and I love it.
Yeah, it in front of stuff, the famous fruit stack.
So, Beaver Nuckets.
Again, there's a no one on me.
A wild Korean explores Buckees.
Another visiting FIFA fan wrote on the platform,
the Texas
cheese steak
what the
okay
the Texas
cheese steak
burrito
is to die for
okay so we're taking
the Philly cheese steak
and putting it in a burrito now
and misappropriating it to Texas
oh no so
one buckies does finally open around here
I'll have to check that out
because
that's a
seems like a crime for Texas to appropriate to Philadelphia culture.
Even Americans are enjoying the whole timeline.
Threat to be alive for the Europeans discovering Bucky's timeline.
My favorite thing about the World Cup this year is seeing all the Europeans experiencing American things like Buckees or condiments for the first time.
and we have a
this is uh freddie and
this is the uh freddie guy that
j jay watt
dinner from buckies
at 1 a m it's a bunch
triple
clean corn
that's a new one on me too
so of course ranch dressing
once again
Swifties know about it
because uh Taylor had it
the first time she was
at Arrowhead
for Travis
Europeans are
losing it over ranch
so much
they'd probably be
smuggling bottles
of Hidden Valley
back home
why did
no one tell me
ranch dress is like
crack
Europe
we need ranch
ASAP
once Swedish
fans said
oh it's Elsa
again
and follow up
she added
I think my
trip just
turned into the
Find the best ranch in America
So why did no one tell me
Ranch dresses like
Ranch sauce is like crack
Europe we need Ranch ASAP
This is so surreal
Just had the best food ever
And this is a video
And we'll have to
Do like this
Oh it is actually taking me to Twitter
Okay, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
And while we're doing this, personally, I find ranch dressing.
It's not my favorite.
I'll eat if I have to, but I would prefer not.
So in that regard, I'm kind of like to, one more time.
For those of you just listening, yeah, there's not much to the video.
It's just a wide shot of a diner somewhere.
I'm assuming Indiana
simply because
I'm assuming in Indiana
because there's a cult's neon
sign there
so okay then
yeah yeah personally
not fan of ranch
but okay
bacon wrapped
hair tots with ranch
oh my effing gut and
ketchup
and of course
I would be remiss to not point
out that's when Heinz
first heard about Travis and Taylor
they briefly sold
ketchup mixed with
seemingly ranch
but
that actually looks
that actually looks good and yeah we are
addicted to
bacon
I didn't know what's on me
ranch sauce is like crack
Europe we need ranch ASAP
next we have
Taco Bell
I totally agree with
Freddie here
it is in fact
the Holy Land
again
not authentically
Mexican
but
still good
within reason
with any reason
especially
especially yeah
it's been
interesting
in seeing old photos
of Taco Bell
and remember
and now
being a child
at Taco Bell
they only had tacos and burritos and bell burgers which no longer exists on their menu but
that has really diversified since then clearly but nachos and crunch rap Supremes and Doritos
tacos oh let's make a fresco too so maybe then so maybe they need to start
and the Taco Bell franchises
and chimony
Chicago style classics
I'm assuming
the writer is Chicago
born because it says
as a native Chicago one
this one feels especially
important to me the Europeans
have discovered our local cuisine
and they get the hype
some proper
Chicago food bro
they have a
milkshake with cake in
cup it's ridiculous and the tree trees right there from a german guy named viago viago seven is the handle
post about portillo's which is said i have not had uh i'm once again state my opinion about
chicago uh we had a piece of erinos here you know well you traditionally think of a steep tish
and that was pretty good the city of chicago itself my personal opinion so do not hate
me is hell hell on earth so that is uh my opinion my experience uh your violence may vary
let's continue with the article uh got a lot of uh dns about my partillo's experience so we uh wait
about 30 minutes for our food but the location itself is a highlight with so much cool off
old stuff
that they had some interesting
beers
at the bar
that made our
waiting time
amazing and a
follow up
a self-reclaimed

Tavern style and deep dish
pizzas.
So we have
Joey at
Caleb Goats
QB1.
This just
blew my mind.
Wow.
It's got
St. Louis style.
So it won't be
surprising.
This is the
St. Louis-style pizza.
There we have

Joey, have you tried Chicago's pizza yet?

Waffle House
Another favorite
Waffle House
Clearly
Someone gave them
good recommendations
Just had our first
Waffle House experience
At 1 AM
And this is
Freddy again
great food, great prices, and friendly staff, 10 out of 10,
we will be coming back.
He apparently kept that promise with another visit later that same week.
And once again, something I have never tried.
Chili's!
Chili's, I love chilies.
I love chilies, but it's just...
It can be quite expensive, unfortunately.
And it's our guy, Freddie, again.
It just says for Chili.
He said, just wait until they discovered the triple dipper.
Chili's and NBA finals.
Fuck off.
Clearly having some drinks.
I see some fajitas.
Chili's makes great fajitas, folks.
And see some fries.
Free Reef.
They cannot believe the free refills
And have been getting genuinely emotional
About the tradition online
I can refill this a thousand times
One European

So yeah I don't recommend it
Maybe two or three

But yeah in theory you could
But it depends on the
So we have the correct

It's the handle
Crickle, critically thinking and
drinking Europeans discovering the joy
of free refills.
There's a video here.
We're going to try a play.
I can't get through the diesel
a thousand times.
Yeah, but you won't drink a thousand cups
of coconut. And it's free.
You paid for it. You paid it.
One, sir.
Bro, slow down.
It's not down.
It's cold.
Slow down.
Slow down.
Why?
That's good.
It's free.
Yes, please.
Right.
Thank you.
I mean, paradise.
Brother.
Cheers.
Another one.
Did I finish this one too?
I'm going to explode.
That's too much sugar.
You don't need that.
That's true, but it's free.
Brain freeze, yes.
That's what's happening to me.
But it's so good.
That is funny.
That is funny.
Yeah, but I'm glad you're enjoying it, dude.
Glad you're enjoying it.
Barbecue.
Sean, the Scotsman from, yeah, Mr. Cumming,
tried Carolina-style bar.
barbecue ribs for the first time and promptly declared that all other meat has been run for him.
I have discovered barbecue ribs in America, Carolina style with a vinegar sauce, and frankly,
every other meat is run for me. Now, Sean, you need to get your ass to Kansas City. We'll show you a real barbecue.
And more than just ribs, we'll do the beef for you. We'll do the chicken.
We'll do just about everything.
So, yeah, get your ass to KC.
Big Gulp's.
Look, we knew our portion size was a novelty,
but the Europeans' genuine wonder over the Big Gulp really confirms it.
So you have John at BRFC, John.
Because of Bristol Rovers, Ben, from the photo.
not going to lie, big gulps from 7-Eleven are easily one of my favorite things I've discovered in America so far.
And he'll picture the big gulp.
So, yeah, I'm glad they're enjoying our food.
And one more.
So this is a bro Bible.
European soccer fans posting American food reviews.
has been the perfect precursor to the World Cup by Jacob Elsie, pro-biblical then come.
The World Cup gets underway this week in North America, many host cities are in the U.S.,
and as a result, thousands of Europeans are gaining taste of the culture.
That includes American cuisine, travelers have been posting food reviews
after making the trick across the pond.
It's made for A-plus social content.
since Europeans have tested everything from Buckees to Barbecue and anything in between.
It is entertainment in its purest form.
There are 11 American cities hosting games with each featured in an NFL stadium.
Depending on which team your phone, the cuisine can differ greatly.
California, for example, won't have the same options as, say, Georgia.
Texas has different things to offer than Washington.
Regardless of location, everything can be new to European visitors if they try it.
Many are getting outside their comfort zones to eat food to unique to the area.
We just talked about this guy doing a Carolina-style barbecue.
Once again, Sean, get your ass to Kansas City.
City. So Sean's made sure to hit a few spots. He unintentionally sparked an online war in the process.
We take our barbecue seriously. Carolina muster his hands down the best. You're an idiot.
Sean's vlogging who stops in Texas and North Carolina.
Where?
He plans to try more, but for now, Texas, Lee. Once again, get your ass to Kansas City.
Look how I is a Scottish guy in America.
for the World Cup is welcome to a Texas barbecue okay sorry other barbecues but Texas takes the lead
oh let's play this this video right here someone will let me come on what the hell is that
alright let's try this again uh for some reason this video ain't playing so we move on
Sean also gave the mac and cheese a try while on the East Coast
he puts into the top of his all-time list
the perfect size
the perfect side to a perfect meal
his reviews American cuisine were overwhelmingly positive
he is far from the only person documenting his food-based exploration
Europeans try
American food
a German fan
Freddy, we've been talking about
Freddie this whole time.
Bus and Adventures in his stay in
North Carolina over the last few days
and it's trips to
Oh, Wendy's, that's a new one.
It's sad.
But yeah, it looks like
Yeah, there's a German guy named
Freddy here for the World Cup.
As far as I could tell,
his meals on Monday,
where Walfa has at 1 a.m.
Wendy's for
lunch,
Chili's for dinner.
Little did he know, he just earned his citizenship.
That was a secret meal combination to a lot.
So,
you're going to revoke my citizenship because I haven't been to a waffle house.
And,
yeah, there's, yeah, he went to Wendy's, but a bunch of burgers
and some fries and baked potato.
God, yeah.
Now we have Elsa again
Recapture a visit to California
Where the Swedish team was stationed
That had the World Cup
We went to
Coupinos and tried their
Signature dish which is crab legs
Clams, mussels, snapper
calamari, shrimp
All cooked in a red soup
Then headed to
Girardelli Square
And had some oysters
and beer in the sun.
Amazing recommendations, thank you all.
So clearly, Bay Area.
Arrived to San Francisco, did a tour of Alcatraz,
and had a look around Trader Joe's.
Too healthy for my liking.
But I did have a huge model of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Any food recommendations, ideally something local family-owned.
Her vlog also includes
stops in Indiana, so
that explains the cult's
neon sign.
And once again, talking about
the ranch.
There have been some negatives
for teams and fans
that are traveling to the U.S.
Some have revealed
visa issues.
Fuck you, Donnie.
Others have
no extreme weather conditions.
Once again, fuck you, Donnie.
And to the
decades of pumping
bad stuff into
the atmosphere. Beer prices
are sure to be a talking point.
I've heard $18
at the fan fest they're doing
at Library Memorial. These fans
are overlooking those
drawbacks. They've enjoyed their
stays. To this point,
it's provided an awesome
lead-up to the
event. We'll go
and stop share here.
And yeah, that's
pretty awesome that I'm glad they're having a good time here and uh yeah they will
go and end it there until next time folks
hello everyone once again we are uncalled for in the summertime
oh I want to take it look some races today we'll start
with some friends of the podcast.
So we'll start.
State legislative.
I can't talk.
Legislative.
It says we a state legislative races.
No, I don't want targets.
And we'll start with California House District.
A friend of the podcast, Matthew Adams.
won his primary for the California House or California State Assembly, they call it,
which is firmly in Democratic control, 60 Dems, 19 Republicans, one vacancy.
So 80 seats total.
Wow, small in Kansas' house.
We are looking at District 9.
So District 9, he is running against an incumbent's Republican named Heath Flora.
And let's look at that 9th district.
Which I know he said it's like south of Sacramento.
So, area, district nine.
I want the district maps to show you all about whereabouts this is.
The internet is incredibly slow today.
Come on, come on.
Non-partisan primary.
This is how you got there.
So non-partisan primary, Matthew got 25% of the vote.
Nice.
but Mr. Flora got 30% to create this
All right, and there was one other Democrat, one Michael Perez
who I know nothing about.
So maybe, okay, here's our map.
Here's our map.
So we have a Sacramento at the top there.
Modesto at the bottom.
Stockton is right there.
So Northern California area, basically this area between Sacramento and Modesto and all that.
So, yeah, good luck to Matthew on his race.
But now we need to look at a state that was very heavily gerrymandered.
and we're going to congressional elections
because one of our co-hosts, Heather Marie,
is running for Congress in Missouri.
As you probably heard in the news,
Missouri got heavily gerrymandered
in this past election a year.
U.S. House
It was house
212 Democratic
218 Republican 1
Independent for
vacancies
And I'm not
I'm not interested in the
Senate just yet
But
Comments to
But because our
DIP
Because
Missouri is currently under the
Total Control of Dips shit
Missouri got heavily gerrymandered, and, yeah, Missouri was heavily gerrymandered, and Kansas City is now broken up in a way that's Cleaver will not likely not get reelected.
Unfortunately, a long-time mayor of Kansas City and then followed up with being a long time.
Congressman out of Kansas City.
We have a street named after him.
And he,
and this is the
breakdown in Missouri.
Two Democrats,
six Republicans for eight
House seats and both
Senate seats are Republican.
So I believe it is District 4.
that Heather is running in
District 4
so general
general elections
she's
as a Republican
and
and the incumbent
is Mark Alford
I got some
things to say about Mr.
Alford
but
if you choose to
run the Democrats
I hear the
and if you're watching
this video here
the candidates on the
Dem side of
the ledger as well
but if you are on the Republican side
oh please read us of
Alford and
beg Heather
Shelton
as your
candidates said there
well I can't tell you about
Heather
Heather's the reason we had
Samantha Salem on the podcast
for fringe
so I think it's safe to say she's probably not taking money from those A-PAC bastards.
But, yeah, I said that is a heavily gerrymandered district now.
And I hope she, I definitely hope she wins in the primary.
All for those, well, fortunate enough to not know before you ran.
for Congress.
He was running.
He was in media.
He was a TV news guy for the Fox station.
Go figure.
And I had a, I had the chance to work with him during my internship.
I'm not pretty particularly pleased with the guy
But then again
Only a doctor's convention in San Diego
Will ever see that's
We'll ever see the footage we shot
There
So
So we're good
And now we've got to shift over to my states
Of Kansas
We have a few
have a few thoughts on some of these races.
So we'll talk first about the governor's race.
There are three Democrats on the ballot.
Ethan Gorson, Cindy Holshare and Kurt Skug.
First of all, I'm surprised to see Scoob's name here
because this whole time I thought it was a Republican.
apparently he switched to
Democratic
and time to run for
mayor
um
mayor
so uh
he didn't I get my
votes uh I didn't
I I vote for
neither time
for
for uh
the mayor of Ovo Park
so
so you know how I feel about that guy
uh
Corson is a way too corporate for my...
In fact, I'm going to call out Lar Kelly right now,
the current governor of Kansas.
Shame on you for picking sides in a primary.
Yeah, I guess it's okay to pick sides,
but you can't heavily endorse someone,
especially if there's a primary situation.
That's the...
that you're up
to try and put your thumb on the
on the scale
of who
uh can who uh people
should vote for and uh frankly the party's
been doing that for quite a while
all right uh
it's because uh my understanding
from one I'm hearing is because
she has beef with Cindy
and
uh
that ain't right
So my
So logically my support is for Cindy Holcher
Who by the way I first met
When we're both running for
I choose run for state house
I ran for state senate in 16
When this tip in the scales bullshit
Really started and that was the first victim
But fortunately it sounds like
Cindy has a lot of
Grand Swell support
grassroots support rather
and
yeah
with that
that said
she will give my votes
now on the Republican side
there's one guy that
well many of these people are unlectable
so we'll start with Ty Masterson
Time Masterson is
the sole
reason Kansas
still has not legalized
not even medical marijuana
is this jackass
right here
so I want to vote for
a shout out here
why is this
crazy lady
running
again
so yeah
the town governor
we're not going
worry too much
bad because everyone has their own
but
we're going
scroll down
don't crack him
and as for
why we're not seeing
Lord County here
she is term limited, two terms.
It's going to be a close race,
but keep that in mind if Masterson gets the Republican nod to that jackass,
it's the reason we do not have legal weed here.
So let's look at some of these other...
Who's right for Secretary of State?
I'm doing a lot of searching here.
Scott Morgan United Kansas Party.
So I talked about the Kansas Party at one point.
They merged with another part.
Okay, so we have two Democrats on the balance.
Jennifer Day, who I know has held office before,
and Sam Lane, who I know nothing about.
Insurance commissioners and interest in one, two.
And we have Dinah Sykes running for insurance commissioner.
remember dinah in 2016 she was a republican when she ran in 16 and yes i did uh support and i'm
never going to apologize for that all right you know the story why uh if you are a regular
listener and she was running against stan hawkins fuck that guy too so yeah dinah is your
choice there. Dina
of course ran in
switched parties
in 2018 so she's now a Democrat
and has held
on to the
seat as a Democrat
so
greatly appreciates
that
and actually she's someone else I would love to have on the
podcast. I'm not going to push it because
she's a very busy person
and
We're going to look at specific races for State House.
The whole Senate gets reelected every four years,
so we won't see any state senate races open.
Try to find the races that impact me most here in the area.
But I'll stop with District 7 real quick.
just
uh
by the way
where it's pointing out
it's 125
in the
uh
in the uh
kansas house
uh
the incumbent is a
Republican named
uh Dan Goddard
and uh
let's look at that
district's map
um
the candidate
I'm going to push
here her name is
Taylor Morland
uh
endorsed by the
uh
by an organization just recently
paid money to call the
the Social Democrats
USA
and
here it is
that includes
Chinute
and Parsons and
probably Coffeeville
if I'm reading this
correctly
but
It's southeastern Kansas is this district.
All right.
District 8.
I'll just talk about this,
because this is a local district for me,
and this guy's got to go.
Chris Croft got to go.
And this district,
I think it's South O.P.
We'll take a look here at the map.
And I'm sorry if this is a state.
Yeah, so, like I said, the bulk of it, I think that says Switzer Road.
Yeah, that's Switzer.
And then to about this point, yeah, so Switzer, a little bit north of 105th and it's south of Hunter 335th.
And that's Quivera Road right there, 1005th.
this the apartment complex
and then flum includes
the
executive airport
right there and then
goes back over to Cuvera
down that way
and then down that way
and then up Antioch this
little neighborhood right here
I think it's an
159th yeah this is
159th
right here
I'm not quite sure what
163 maybe
but but this is the
this is the district right here
and the
Democrat running in this
district is a woman named
Megan Phillips so
consider
so please consider her
if you live in that district
alright
some
moving on 15.
I'll go on
point out 15 because I
believe on Facebook friends with
the
Challenger.
Allison
Hoagland.
Yeah.
Yeah. As in the Hoagland
her district.
This is
Alatha
and because
not quite
to I think of Gardner.
Yeah.
It's a little east of Gardner, but includes a lot of Aletha in south there.
Includes the old Great Mall side, I will tell you that right here.
And I hope she does well there.
So, um, all right.
My good friend, my old friend, Cindy neighbor, another Republican turned Democrats,
right from her election in 18, that is Shawnee area.
Stephanie Clayton, who was on a sunflower brew.
Initially, another Republican turned Democrat,
and her husband is a Democrat.
she is
run once again for religion
District 19 and her district
is
I pray village
and parts of Leewood
area
my good friend
Jersey Stogstill
right District 21
Reed Cruson
this is my district 22
Reed Cruson I do not know
Mr. Cruzen but as good to not
see Lindsay Vaughn there
she was never going to get my support
I do not know. I do not know Reed.
Hopefully he is not completely corporates, but, yeah, I will take a look at his page, but if he is corporates,
I will be running against him in 28th if I find out that he's corporate as hell.
Which brings me to another beef I have with the county party now.
And we'll talk about it when I get to Senate races.
And the fact that they're trying to push Cindy out of there for governors that said they have clearly gone full corporates and are kicking and are discouraging people who can't raise money.
That is unfortunate.
and quite
disgusting.
And it leads credence to
what I've been saying
on a wrong, Republican light.
Jared Owsley
is running again.
Of course I'm gone.
Pope Jared
wins.
He represents
his territory immediately north of mine
and includes
marium
parts of johnny parts of
uh...
op i believe
and uh...
and uh...
and uh... his wife is on the
is an education
advocate and she's on the
uh...
Shime Mission School board
they have at least one son
who
uh... plays chess
and has been to
our uh...
tournaments
and uh...
I hope he's
oh we're still playing
Chess and everything.
And that's actually a very good family overall.
His brother, I believe it's his brother, runs a gallery in the crossroads called Mod.
So check that out too.
Rishu, he's opposed.
My good friend, Heather Meyer, and the 29 ring.
We have a stacked primary in 30.
none of those
Guinness
3-1
3-1
all right
still looking here for
races
I can comment on
and I'm sorry if I'm not
talking right now just
laser focused on
goodness
a time
but there are a lot of seats
unfortunately that don't have
dark rats
running in them
that's unfortunate hopefully that changes
hopefully that changes the next
cycle
our 83 that is clearly a
Wichita seat because I see
Brandon Whipple the former
mayor of
Wichita is a candidate
for that
seats my good man
Jason Probst
and
uh
uh
The 100 seconds.
And I think that's Hutchinson area.
We will go ahead and take a little.
See.
Jason has held this seat before.
There's absolutely no reason he can't try to get back now.
And there is the map.
Yeah, it's Hutchinson area.
So I will
Yeah
So
102
Hutchinson
Let's re-elects Jason Probst
Please
Okay
108
All right
Stop right there
108
This guy belongs in prison
Period
All right
You heard me talk about
What happens
During the
Primary in 16
and the volunteer who is telling people,
oh, if you don't sign the petition, you can't vote.
That's Brandon Woodard.
He does not belong in elected office.
He belongs in fucking jail.
Now, of course, he's lucky that the statute of limitations probably doesn't.
Yeah, there's this smug face right there.
He's lucky that.
statute of limitations is passed, otherwise I would say he should be in jail.
But here's his district.
So this is Shine Mission Parkway, northernmost 35, this little bit right there.
K-10.
Right.
K-10 is right there.
So we need to find people who run in this district especially.
So, okay, this is college, this is
Guevera right there.
That's 35.
That's still 35.
That's 9, so 87th Street, South,
Renner, East, 75th,
except for this development right here.
And then all the way down,
full of includes all this,
and then this little bit of,
Olathe, what's the black bomb?
We need to find candidates to run here against this guy.
He has, again, he has no business being anywhere near elected office.
All right.
So someone who is running against this guy that lives in that area, preferably with the D next to their name.
Because that's inexcusable.
That is inexcusable.
And now we can talk about the.
yeah let's
talking about that Senate's race
so I'm going to go
Congress
going back to Congress
and
and I'm sorry
that dude really pisses me off
about as much as
the guy he
was helping
so
all right we want
the United States
Senate
and
we have 11 people running for Senate in Kansas on the Democratic side of things and a lot of them were
this is the county party playing favorites for corporate interest and they're flat out telling
less money to candidates we won't bother helping you out and I know how I feel
about that.
Fuck them.
I'll
over whoever
I want,
whoever best
fits
what I'm looking
for in
candidates.
And I'll support
whoever comes out of that
primary because I want
Roger Marshall to fuck out of there.
Okay, so we're going
in Senates, we're going
Kansas.
We have a
libertarian
candidates and
David Graham
maybe he'll take some votes away from
Marshall but here's
your
here's our primary
so Damon Anderson
I know nothing about him
Chrissy
Davis
Adam Hamilton
so I'll talk about Mr. Hamilton
for a little bit because his
entering the race
causal buzz
should I say
he is the
he's a pastor
of a megachurch
here
not
from why
I'm hearing quite
a mainstream
megachurch
but
megaturch
nonetheless
so
so yeah
this
megat church
about the
church
that my
old Boy Scout
troop
was
based
out of
so
I don't have any strong feelings for or against him
I'm just know I'm not support him in the primary
Jason Hart know nothing about Kevin Lanslats
sorry no nothing about
Eric Murray I'll touch on him for just a little bit
as I'm part I'm now officially
part of the Social Democrats who was saved they had a meeting
a national level
and they decided
because he joined the meeting
that yeah we like you
so we'll
we'll see what happens
with the race but Eric you are more welcome
to come on the podcast at some
points
Sandy Newman I know nothing about
and Paral Carr
that's who I'm supporting
for this race
and
And Anne has expressed interest in being on the podcast.
So that will be well after.
That won't come until well after the primary is over and done with.
But as I point that out, Patrick Schmidt, I think, is a current state,
either state rep or state senator, one of the two.
Michael Sotertz know nothing about him.
Although that name is quite plastered around Shawnee.
And Noah Taylor know nothing about him.
And all these people are trying to unseat this jackass.
And I think it's safe to say that he is a jackass because he is a comport himself,
lessly in national media talking out of his ass.
and if a Democrat does win that,
see it'll be the first time in
since the depression
that
this state has sent
a ad dem to the Senate
and it's time. It's beyond time.
We've got to get rid of this guy.
And
I'll leave it with that. That's
our
that's my election
edition of
the pod
and
this podcast is on
call for
