And welcome once again to the unofficial fan lounge, your UFL fan podcast within the feed of this podcast is on called for.
I am Mike Sharonowski.
I'll be your host for this and every episode of Unofficial Fan Lounge.
And we have three more weeks of this season, folks.
So let's look into what happened during week seven.
So we'll start with the Friday Night game, which was Columbus at St. Louis.
Very important to notes that the Battlehawks honored the Greatestown Turf Rams at this game.
Never mind that two of them are already on the coaching staff, namely the head coach Ricky Proll,
and one of the assistant coaches, Jeff Skinnina, part of the 99 Great Sean Turf.
Rams and won Super Bowl
34. Also in attendance
at that game were the
Rams coach at the time, take for Mill,
and Mike Jones,
the linebacker
who made the game saving
tackled to end
Super Bowl 34,
keeping Kevin
Dyson from tying that
game. And the old
offensive lineman, Adam Timmerman, and
Annie McCollum were in attendance
as well.
and I heard Marshall Falk was at the game two.
I didn't see photos of that, unfortunately, of course, Marshall Hallfamer
and very well deserved.
Just finished coaching last year.
The runbacks for University of Colorado and now is the head coach at Southern University.
So he's gone the HBCU route.
and the BALHawks did not disappoint
in honor of this
team that played in that very
stadium
and the BALCs won 31 to 20
over the aviators
so
Luis Perez
the Spring King
they call him making his first start as a battle hawk
204 yards passing one TD, one pick.
Not too bad.
Jarvan Howard led the team in rushing, 12 attempts for 44 yards.
And Hakeem Butler, three catches for 77 yards.
Jalen McClendon for Columbus, 153 yards, passing two TDs, one pick.
John Lovitz, 10 attempts for 52 yards rushing.
and Tay Martin, seven catches, 55 yards, and a touchdown.
And the attendance for this game, the lowest in Battlehawks history, 18,563.
I know we can do better than that, and we've got two more games at home to do that.
now on to the upsets of week 7 Louisville 30
DC 13 in front of the bear snake
so good job out of the kings
on a huge win over
the leaders of the league and the defend champs
So, for Louisville,
Chandler Rogers,
201 yards passing for two touchdowns.
Ian Wheeler led the team in rushing eight attempts for 64 yards.
Isaiah Winstead led the Kings in receiving
with four catches for 62 yards.
And on the DC side of things,
Tejammu, 353 yards passing two touchdance,
two interceptions.
John Jackson led the defenders in rushing with 12 attempts for 48 yards.
And Cornell Powell, four catches for 109 yards.
And another team that's, well, they're all struggling with attendance this year.
We'll get to that in a sec.
But attendance for this game was 7,950.
I know we can do better than that, D.C.
and keep the bear snake going, of course.
Then we have
in overtime, Birmingham 21 and Dallas 17.
So Birmingham, after Rocky starts for the season,
slowly turning things around.
And Dallas hot starts,
but they've now lost four in a row.
And this was in Birmingham,
and there's a little controversy over the attention.
with this one.
I tend to believe the other
figure that is given those 7,000
attendance, because it looked like
there's 7,000 in attendance,
but no, attendance,
the official attendance is 4,775.
Birmingham, I know
we can do better than this.
All right.
Anyway, your leaders
for the stallions,
Dorian Thompson, Robinson.
159 passing yards, two touchdowns and one pick.
Leading the stallions in rushing was Tyrion Davis Price,
12 attempts for 45 yards, and Jaden Mickens,
leading in the receptions, six catches, 82 yards, and a touchdown.
For Dallas, Austin Reed, 166 yards,
Day Day Hunter
leading the team in the
rushing 11 attempts
to 43 yards
and Greg Ward leading the
renegades
in receiving
for this game
with four catches
35 yards
so
Birmingham we can do better
with attendance
I'm honest
honestly
and lastly
dead last in attendance
is Houston
they only had 4,4009 in attendance to see Orlando win over the gamblers 2423.
All right.
So your team leaders, we'll start with the storm.
Plummer, 152 yards passing, two touch ends.
Deshawn Corman leading the storm in rushing 7 attempts 25 yards
and Elijah Badger leading the team in receiving four catches
75 yards, two touch chance
Hunter Deckers leading the gamblers in passing
with 268 yards but one pick
and we have Marcus Major
leading the team in
rushing for this game,
six attempts, 32 yards.
And then Jalen
Moreno Cropper
leading the team
in the receptions
with six catches
for 68 yards.
So, come on,
we can do better
with attendance.
We only have three more weeks to go
and we can
do better.
So,
here are the standings
with seven
weeks in the books.
Our top
four go into the playoffs. There is
no divisions this year.
The top
standings as of this moment
that I'm recording this.
St. Louis Bouthawks,
5 and 2 are first.
Number 2, Orlando Storm, also
5 and 2.
Number 3 is the
D.C.
Defenders also
5 and 2. So St. Louis, Orlando,
D.C. all 5 and 2.
Then
in 4th place at 3 and
4 is the
Birmingham Stallions and right behind
them also at 3 and 4 is the
Louisville Kings and then right behind
them at 3 and 4
is the Dallas
Renegades. So if the Plattos were to start today
it would be Battlehawks, Storm,
defenders,
stallions.
So we get our three biggest and best, most defined fan cultures in the playoffs.
We got the shirtless, Jason Kelsey impersonators in Burm.
We got the Bear Snake in D.C.
And we got the Kronky Out chance in St. Louis.
Then in seventh place is Columbus at 2 and 5, and Houston is dead last at 2 and 5.
And we each have, and they all have three.
more games to go.
So let's focus on the next
round of games.
Week 8.
We start with the Friday night game.
Orlando at
Dallas. Here's the interesting thing
because Dallas has
done terribly with attendance
this year.
This game will not be
played in Dallas.
It will actually be played within the state of Texas.
But
at Fort Hood.
which is Spats
it's near Waco
I know that
but south of
Dallas
and will only be open
to active duty
military personnel
so I think that's
awesome that they're
giving back to
our military in this way
and I hope
for a good game I do see
Orlando winning
though
then we got two Saturday games
we'll start with DC
and Louisville rematch
right away
this one's in Louisville
and I think
DC will get a little bit of
revenge egg rolls
revenge but what surprised me if
Louisville make it two in a row
and then the later game
is Houston
at St. Louis
I will
I for one welcome the gamblers
to the dome
and we're going
to
I think we win this one
it's not even going to be close
and then there's one
Sunday game is Columbus
at Birmingham
and
come on you shirtless bastards
show up for this one
and I do think the stallions
win it and get back to
500
I don't think there are
official planes in there as yet but they will be coming very soon I I can almost
guarantee that so yeah that will do it for this edition and now we'll talk to
you in next week and be one step closer to the United Bull so we'll see you next week
