Welcome, once again to the Unificial Fan Lounge, the Unificial UFLounge, the Unofficial UFL podcast,
within the feed of this podcast is on call for.
I'm Mike Chernevsky.
I will be your host for this series.
And, yeah, we're one week closer to the end of the UFO season 2025.
So let's wrap up week seven.
We'll start with the Friday night game.
Defenders
32
Brahmas
24
playing in front of
9,84
in San Antonio
DC improves to
5 and 2
San Antonio
drops to 1 and 6
and are pretty much
I think it's official
at this point done for
the
year they will not
make the playoffs the saturday game michigan 25 arlington 24 so very close game attendance was
9,963 at the arlington penitentiary panthers are now 5 and 2 and arlington is now 3
and four
so
they're not quite
out of it just yet
but it's not looking good
for Arlington
then our two
Sunday games
Houston
25 Birmingham
33
not a good crowd
today 4,774
in Birmingham
And I should point out the Roughnecks actually led for much of this game, but found a way to choke near the end.
Houston, just what of advice if you're planning on improving as a team, you can't choke, especially against the three-time.
the three times straight defending champions so yeah play better than that all right so uh houston three and four
similar situation to arlington they're not in the playoffs yet but they still have a chance and uh birmingham is a five and two
And then the last game, Battlehawks, 19, showboats, nine, played in Memphis in front of a crowd of 4,215.
So the battlehawks improved to 5 and 2, and the showboats are 1 and 6, and the showboats are pretty much done for this year.
And this year we can, this week rather, why did I say this year?
But this week, we can announce the final average attendance for one team in the league.
That would be Arlington.
So this was their last home game of the 2025 season.
They averaged 9,764 over the quarter.
of five games so not great certainly not at the 10-k level that I would like to see and
they do have a 10-k attendance game this year that's everyone has a 10-k attendance game
minimum with two exceptions I think you know which two they are by now if
have been given up with the league.
So not great, but not terrible.
I would say for the 9,000 range.
So the next teams to,
they'll play their last home games.
We'll have to wait until week nine.
But let's go into week eight.
And we start with the Friday night game,
which is an interesting matchup
now
but
it is what it is
it is our two one and six
teams
the showboats and the Brahmus
playing each other and someone has to win
that game both teams going
in one and six Friday night
in San Antonio
and someone has to win that game
right
so someone will walk out
two and six and someone will walk out
out's 1 and 7.
So we'll see
what happens, but
just given the quality of their
games this year, I'm going
to slightly lean towards
Memphis.
And we got two Saturday games,
both starting at
12 noon,
and
both with major
playoff implications.
So
the first of these two is
Michigan at
Houston
Michigan coming in
5 and 2
Houston at
3 and 4
so this will
have a major impact on the
playoff picture
as well the other game
the other game is
Birmingham at St. Louis
all right
I am picking
the Panthers to beat
Houston
and
I think we get some
revenge here
Battle Hogg Nation
I think we
I think the
stallions have
proven there
not the same team
that we saw last year
that finished
9 and 1
and won the league
I think we have a chance
at this game
but we got to play bear
on offense
and the defense
needs to keep
stepping
up. Let's be honest
the defense has been
critical
for the battlehawks this year and
I don't see that being any difference
last year we played
in Birmingham. This year
it's at the dome
field advantage
I like my hawks
and then Sunday game
is Ray Gates at
D.C. So
play in front of the bear snake
and I like the defenders
to win
that one and
and
just so I know
I was perfect in my
picks last week
and I will
and I will
let's share that math
with you
probably a couple weeks at
at the end of the season
for now if those
are my picks for
week 8th at the
UFL season.
I'm really excited to see how
everything goes.
At least
one team is going to have six
once at this time
next week.
Until then, I
will talk to you soon
and good luck to all the teams this week.
Thank you.
