Hey, everybody, hey everybody.
I wanted to let you know that we're doing another Angel University on July 14th.
This is my three-hour course that I teach with my friend Mike Savino on how to be an angel investors.
For accredited investors, and it's free if you make just a modest $100 donation to charity.
And we've picked an amazing charity.
It's the smash program that my friends, Freda and Mitch K. P.
do out at Berkeley and in the East Bay here, they're helping students learn,
STEM before they go to college and these are underrepresented students who are going to be going
into the tech workforce and they're trying to create the diversity that we all want to see in the
world and especially in tech. So I can't think of a better cause and we'll probably have
100, 200 of you sign up if the past is any indication and we're going to really help those students.
We've raised over $70,000 doing this already. So it's pretty exciting for me and we've added
700 accredited investors to the syndicate.com, which is where we share our deal flow and we talk
to each other about which deals to fund. So in the workshop, I'm going to teach everything I learned
from investing in companies that you know and love, like Uber, where I invested when it was a $5 million
company, com.com when it was a $5 million company, Robin Hood, Wealthfront, desktop metal,
FitBod, Steezy, Blockable, all these amazing companies. I got to invest it in early. And I now
am teaching people how to be angel investors. Why am I doing that? Well, let's just say I've become
I'm very successful at it.
And my legacy and my hope is that I can create 10,000 active angel investors in the world
that go and create new companies with founders and create jobs and just make the world a better
place.
So if you are an accredited investor, that means you make over $200,000 a year for two years
or you have a million dollars in net worth or $300,000 with your spouse in yearly income,
you can come to the class and you will learn.
how to source deals, how to do due diligence.
And you'll understand exactly how to do portfolio management.
Because the biggest mistakes people make in angel investing is they just invest in two companies.
They put their entire bankroll.
Let's say it's a bankroll of $500,000.
They've earmarked for angel investing.
They put it in two companies.
Well, it takes like 20 or 30 companies, some people say 40 or 50, to get an outlier.
And we do it for free.
Why do we do it for free?
We do it because we want you to learn how to be a great angel investor.
We want you to have great outcomes.
And if you do, hey, you're out there in Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne,
South America, Africa, the EU, wherever you are,
you might find a great deal and say,
hmm, you know, I should save a slice of this pie,
just a little slice for my boy J-Cal who taught me everything he knows
at angel.com.
July 14th, I hope you join us, angel.com.
slash events. If you have any questions ever, you know where to find me on Twitter.com slash jason,
