Threatom!
Yeah. Right?
Do you get it? Yeah. You know what I'm talking about?
Okay.
I'm talking about freedom.
Talk about freedom music.
Hi guys.
Hi guys.
Hi, everybody.
Hey, man.
There's a period in our lives.
Have we talked about this?
We have talked about this.
Okay, where we all said,
Hey, man.
Hey, man.
Constantly.
You mean like Billy Crystal?
No, but interesting.
Yeah, because he used to do a Sammy Davis Jr.
I know what I'm referencing.
I know what I'm referencing.
Welcome to Threatom.
Welcome to Threaton.
It's a number.
Look, look, it's October.
And it's another October and look, it's October.
It's another October freedom.
Oh, yeah.
It's October.
I put up my Halloween decor last weekend.
You did.
Your Halloween tree?
Yes, it's up.
I almost didn't do it and I thought, you know what?
First of all, kids need magic.
Kids need magic.
Second of all, it's hot as balls.
I got to make it feel like it's fall here.
Yeah.
Third of all, I like the warm light of a tree at night.
Yeah.
And it's doing all things.
And Gigi, we did it all while she was nap.
And then she came out and she's like, wow, mama, I love this decoration.
Wow.
Does she not remember it from previous?
She doesn't remember it.
How old is she again?
She's two and a half.
Yeah, so no.
I don't know.
Well, I honestly don't know if I put the tree up last year, but also she wouldn't remember.
But she, and she just keeps saying like, I love Halloween.
I'm like, I know it's my favorite.
Do you know what they're going to be yet?
I remember once you told me that you don't pick until a week before.
because they sometimes can change their mind.
Yes, but now they're wanting it to be Halloween so badly.
They think every day is, so is it Halloween?
Yeah.
So we are going to the Halloween store on Monday, which is early October, to pick stuff out.
Because I feel like they need something, kind of keep them going.
And then if they change, I'm just going to go, yeah, we can get another one.
Yeah, I thought that was so smart.
And I said, I'm going to do that.
And by the time I had gone upstairs to the house, Coolupid already ordered Emmys.
Halloween costume and they already decided.
But Emmy, to her credit, has
never wanted to change. She stayed, yeah.
Yeah, we're cats this year or something. I don't know.
Which ones? I don't know. The Jellicle balls
one, probably.
Jellicle D's balls.
Right? Hey.
Dees balls.
D's balls.
You, Snoop Dog, the VMAs?
Uh-huh. Really crass.
Really crass.
He's one of the most crass rappers I've found.
No.
I do believe that to be true.
You do?
I saw a mimeograph on Instagram about how Stevie Wonder told Culeo,
we're not going to have any swearing in Gangsta's Paradise because he wants it to be,
you know, universally beloved.
And it is, and it was, and it ever shall be.
It worked.
Can you imagine it with swearing, though?
Oh, my God.
Now we're not going to have any swearing.
Been fucking living.
Been fucking living.
And both are, both our lives.
Both are lives.
What are you going to be for Halloween, Paul?
What are you going to be for Halloween?
If you had to pick.
If you had to pick one thing.
Oh, Tan Aaron Sorkin.
That was, that was not.
This just happened yesterday for us.
What's going on?
To see Tan Aaron Sorkin.
It was, and.
I never thought I'd lived to see it.
Did you guys see it before I sent it to the, to the, you had seen it.
You had seen it.
All right.
Jamaica?
Come.
won't you take a
It's very bizarre
A chill pill
You're psycho
Let's go to Marla go
We were
We were touring a school
This morning
And
We not together
No not the three of us
If you're listening
He's not indicating
That the three of us
Tours together
That we would all go to
Yeah
trying to learn how to be adults.
For continuing education.
I tell you though, anytime I go to one of these school events, I, I romanticize sometimes
it's like, it would be cool to go take a class or go back to school or whatever.
You always see that.
I get so fucking bored.
Oh, my God.
In the first five minutes of just like hearing people talk forever.
You know what I'm like done with?
What?
Like hear, like.
People talk forever.
You know, it's just like it's a, it's a presentation or whatever.
And I'm just sitting there going on.
I'm done with being.
Shut on.
I'm not being trapped in boring situations.
Like, I feel like that is one of them.
All right.
See you.
Conversation, like with someone you don't know that well that you're talking to that you haven't seen in a long time.
But then, like, for some reason you can't break through to the next, you know, level.
I'm going the other way.
I'm leaning in.
I'm giving extra time to that.
Oh, okay.
I did that at a birthday party recently where there was someone I hadn't seen in many years.
I assume they were there for the birthday party and found out they were just there at a bar.
and I gave them 25 minutes.
Oh my God.
And that person was like, I'm trying to have a drink by myself.
Just trying to figure out what they'd been up to for the past 10 years.
Trying to figure it out.
Yeah.
They wouldn't tell you.
They were a vault.
Yeah.
I like this.
That's what I'm going to be.
Yeah.
If I see somebody that I haven't seen in a while, hey, what did you know what?
Ask me 20 questions.
Yes or no questions.
Yes.
Yes.
What do you think?
What do you think?
Take stock of how I'm dressed, what time of night it is.
You've been playing baseball.
What my emotions are like.
I feel like I'm dressed like a little,
I was like caught a reflection.
I was like caught a reflection in the mirror.
But I feel like I.
Oh, my.
I feel like I'm dressed like a kid in the 1950s golden book who's like,
my big brother plays baseball.
You sort of look like you're in the sandlot.
That too.
Yeah.
You sort of like you're in the sandlot.
Anyway, what I wanted to say about this tour is we were all lined up.
to go into the school
and
that's how they get you
a couple starts
comes up behind us
and stands in line behind us
and has the narliest
argument I have
ever overheard
spill queen
now that's what I'm here for
the lines in it
were things like
the abuser does not get
to dictate the terms
of the conversation
oh my gosh
it was so fucking gnarly
and Kulai
up and I were just like going each looking at each other like we are so uncomfortable right
now and no awareness of like maybe we shouldn't have this with people that we are vying to
spend the next or just like at a school tour it's like shut up yeah it was so gnarly and then in
the in the middle of it the the woman who was mainly the aggressor in this like then i thought
was very telling that she sees that drop off is ended and they're clearing the
cones and that people are able to park where the cones were.
And she starts saying, oh, great.
So the people who came late get to park, get the best parking.
Oh, my God.
I love people who are so.
It was just like, oh my gosh, you seem miserable.
What do you think they were fighting about?
I don't know.
That's the thing.
This is like they came in and stood right behind us on her saying, you need to adjust
your tone.
Cool.
It's like she needs to.
Let's start with you.
Once you demonstrate how you'd like it to be.
Yeah, it was so gnarly.
And then we were like, once we got in, we moved as far away as possible from them in the auditorium.
And then they moved to be closer to where we were like, God, damn it.
No.
They say we're pisspicks.
We hope to hear about this on the show.
Giving you a little something to talk about.
Let's give them something to talk about.
I mean, who knows exactly what triggered it and it may have been worth it.
But it's certainly to me was like, you can always say like, let's put a pin in this.
Yeah, I'll yell at you when you get in the car, you fucking bitch.
I just wanted to let you know who dictates the terms.
It's not the abuser.
We'll talk about this later.
But wow, I'd love to get a good look at their faces and do some data analysis.
I'll tell you exactly what they look like after this.
Okay, great.
After the break.
After the break.
But it was, it was, yeah, have you guys ever overheard like a 10?
terrible, terrible argument between people?
No, I'd rather hear that.
Like, I was, I was just at a coffee shop doing a little work before I came here, which I'm finding to be...
Babysitting or acting in movies.
Both.
It was both at the same time.
I'm actually thinking about how forever, forever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever.
Ever, ever.
People have said, work in a coffee shop.
And I've always said, I don't want to because I don't want to be in public.
And then I also had this thought that I think stems from college where my computer would die all the time.
I'm like, can't get an outlet.
but I was like, that's not really a thing anymore.
Like, shut up.
Like, random thing I'm holding on to.
Shut up.
With the not being able to get an outlet.
Or my computer dying really fast, which, like, it's just,
computers are much better than they were.
Yeah.
Like, you know what I mean?
It's just not going to happen.
But regardless, I've done it twice now.
And I've gotten so much done.
But I was, I didn't have my headphones.
And I was listening to just, again, a very boring conversation that was like,
people.
Oh, I see.
Oh, got it.
I thought you were on your computer.
I went to YouTube.
I started boring conversations.
I played it at full blast.
No, it was like people.
I'm guessing it was like a couple with like an in-law situation or something like that.
And no one was doing a bad job keeping it going.
They all were doing their best.
But I was like the fact that it was like playing the whole time in my head while I was trying.
I was doing like a very boring like sort of tedious task that I just been putting on.
But like it was like they all ordered the same thing.
And then they all talked about that for like.
like seven minutes.
Wow.
I still can't get over it.
We ordered the same thing.
And then they're like how they ordered this thing at other places and they've tried it here.
They've tried it there.
They've tried it everywhere.
And I just was like, wow.
Like, let's get to the next level.
Like, I want to hear a fight.
Like, let's start.
Yeah.
It's terrible when you're in the middle of one in a public place.
We were talking to someone about this that we knew who was at the school and they were saying
that their friends have a code word for it
of like when you have to put a pin into it
which I think is home tone
like it's like home tone
and then you can't continue the conversation
like this is for
this is for when we're behind closed doors
I think that's good.
Sounds to me like the abuser dictated those terms.
Yeah.
It's very abuser code.
Homtone.
Home tone.
I don't know that I feel like Mike and I tend to
shut it off before it gets like
if we're like in a thing in the car
I'm going to be annoyed or something
when we arrive at a place, like we're just done.
We don't keep going like, blah, da, de, yeah.
Like.
Yeah, we do.
We, it hasn't happened in a while, but we've had, early on, we had a bunch of, like, big fights in public.
Yeah.
We had a thing.
I think this happened twice where we got to a place where we were going to meet people
and then we're fighting in the car outside of the restaurant or whatever.
And then had to text them and say, we have to go home because.
Wow, it was that bad.
but then going home, wouldn't that be worse?
Like, to me, like, I feel like, I'd rather just like, can we just, like, stop and, like, go have fun or something?
I mean, that's what you should do.
But I think because she and I get activated in the, to the same level.
And it's just like, we're not going to get past us.
We're not going to be able to fake our way through this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
It'll just be bad for everyone.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think I've had, like, two, like, really bad arguments in public.
one while we were like eating waiting to go into a movie and we never made the movie and uh where it was
it was and to be to be uh you know transparent it was not like a yelling argument it was a like trying
to work something out yeah you know kind of argument so it wasn't like making a scene or anything
like that but it was definitely like oh okay this is i don't want to be in public for this
i don't really get into yelling arguments like i don't think we ever yell at each other
but we might take something into the ground.
Like it's like keep going, going, going.
Like you're going to murder you.
Well, until you're just like, I can't think of another way to talk about this.
Like I don't know how to explain it more.
I don't know how to like get to the next.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But yelling, it doesn't happen, but I, I've never really been with someone who yelled.
And I'm curious what the, I mean, I don't know that I want to, but I'm just.
Fuck you!
But some people yell and then they get over it.
And so it's kind of like, okay.
That's me.
Yeah, yeah.
I grew up in a yelling household.
Yeah.
So we just yelled all the time.
Yeah.
You know, but it was like, it was just a mode of communication.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So for Janie early on it was very hard for her because when we get an argument and I would
raise my voice, it kind of freaked her out because she did not grow up.
She grew up where everything was quiet all the time.
Yeah.
And that was.
You could still understand.
I'm sure she still had a sense of when someone was mad, but it's a different feeling.
Yeah, it's a different feeling because the, the, she's a different feeling.
because she equates yelling with her parents getting divorced.
Like that's the only time that...
Yeah.
So if you're yelling with the stakes are very high.
I want a divorce.
No, during the divorce.
Oh, really?
Like in court.
Oh, in court.
Screaming.
Oh, my God.
Really?
And she was there?
And she was there.
Yikes.
She represented her mother.
And did the judge...
Well, she was a little kid lawyer.
Yeah.
And they made a show about her.
The little kid lawyer.
It could have been a better show.
I thought it was good.
Only one season.
Yeah.
give it a chance to grow.
But if you only knew the real story, I think you would,
you'd see what a wasted opportunity that show was, yeah.
Were they dividing their beanie babies in court?
Yes.
Yes.
And then they got down to one Beanie baby,
and the judge said, I'm going to cut it in half.
No!
Beams everywhere.
This is the princess die, beady baby.
Not going to happen.
You still have yours?
I was recently given that on tour.
Oh, that's right.
By a loyal pit.
pig, I have to assume.
Thank you for your loyalty.
No, I've, I did mention this on another podcast.
Your loyalty shall be rewarded.
But I had to protect it from Holly because she accidentally, I accidentally let it be left
in a place where she saw it.
And she really wanted it.
And she loves to rip the tags off of things.
And I was like, this can't happen with this.
You mustn't.
I finally got this thing.
This is sacred.
If we rip a tag off of it, it's absolutely worthless, even to the naked eye.
Emma started a thing.
What's this trash?
I don't even know.
if it has a name.
Let me start a thing where she thinks it's very funny and it is technically, but to hide
our belongings from it, like phones, maybe.
Yes.
Oh my God.
Like, and then forget where they are.
Oh, my God.
That's even funnier.
And it's so fucking noise.
It's a great strategy.
Yeah, and other stuff too, but it's just, I heard just this morning I heard Kloops saying like,
I'm not going to let you borrow, you can touch things, you're not allowed to borrow them
anymore because you hide them and then we can't ever find them again.
And she's just like, it's lost, Mama.
Oh my God.
So stressful.
She's psychotic.
But I, there was, I think she took my phone and then we couldn't find it.
I was just like, come on, man.
Where would you have hit it?
The desperation you feel in these moments.
It's a wonderful life.
And it was in like her.
Where's that phone, you stupid silly old fool?
And it was in like her fake, uh,
kitchen in a cabinet.
Why does she have that?
There's a kitchen in the house.
What does she do?
Let her cook.
The real one.
Let her cook.
That's what the kitchen is for.
The kitchen is for.
My kids like to shut my laptop while I'm doing something.
I'm like, if you don't stop that, I'm like, it makes me feel insane.
I can't imagine.
It makes me feel so crazy.
Some little creature.
They just walk up and just shove it down.
I'm like, what are you doing?
It is funny.
Do you think Mike told him to do that?
I get that it's funny.
Yeah.
That sounds like Mike would say, go over there and check it.
Stop whatever she's doing.
She's got some momentum on something.
Stop whenever she's.
Mike will be very happy to know that I saw a t-shirt with a chest problem on it yesterday.
And I sat there trying to figure it out for a long time.
Oh, good.
A t-shirt with a chest problem.
It was like white move made in two.
And was that on someone's tits you wanted to stare at for a little?
Yeah.
I thought once I solved it, then the t-shirt would go up.
The woman is like, oh my God.
Like Zapst style.
Zapstile.
Style.
Zapstrap.
Did you solve it?
I figured it out eventually.
He figured it out.
I figured it out with the pencil and a pad.
I figured it out.
I missed Mike.
Yeah.
I haven't seen him in forever.
We should do a hang.
I've seen him.
You have seen him.
Yep.
I saw him and loved it.
He appeared on Comedy Bing Bang.
Oh, really?
Yes.
Or TBD.
Well, no, it came out on Monday.
Oh, great.
First time?
This is his first appearance?
Is it?
One was during the pandemic.
It was on Zoom.
I feel like that's not.
The pandemonium, my call.
I think this is very funny.
I would say this is first time.
He was very funny.
He's in a movie coming out tomorrow.
Yes.
I hate myself and I want to die.
Very much want to see it.
And he's great.
And everyone to check it out.
Check it out.
Check it out.
Angel Salazar.
Is Jamie friends with Lili?
Is that right?
With who?
Oh, never mind.
Lily Pitt.
Lily Pitts, who's in the film and one of the producers.
Yes, that is correct.
Yes.
Well, it's very exciting to have this movie coming out, and I couldn't be happier for him.
Thank you.
I could be.
Don't get me wrong.
I'm very happy for him.
But you could take it up enough.
But I feel like I could.
I feel like if I dig deep.
Yeah.
You could be?
I could get there.
What's going to get you there, do you think?
Just.
Well, the movie has to be good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He has to win an Oscar.
Two.
He was to win and Oscar.
What about being Oscar nominated?
Just nominated.
No,
no win.
Nominated.
Because if,
because I'll be sad if he doesn't win.
Hmm.
But I could be happier if he does win.
If he doesn't win,
I would be sad.
It's true.
Okay.
If he's not even nominated.
Yeah, he's got to win it.
I'm going to be furious.
I'll get right on that.
Again,
I am happy for him.
No,
no, no.
I'll fix this.
Wouldn't that be crazy?
if he won the Oscar this year.
This year.
Honestly.
You know, in February or March or whenever it comes up.
It would be amazing.
It would be so good.
Honestly, it would be amazing.
Like if the movie comes out tomorrow.
It's a little indie movie.
It gets such good reviews that people are like,
this thing has Oscar buzz, especially for Mike Castle.
And then just it snowballs until like,
and the whole industry is behind him and he just wins.
That would be awesome.
When's the last time that happened?
I mean, it has to happen.
all the time, right?
Like, it...
I don't think so.
Like Leo DiCaprio.
Who cared about...
You like to call him Leo?
I do.
I love him.
What did he eventually win for?
The Revenant, I know he won for that.
He hadn't won before that?
No.
Been nominated a bunch.
It felt a little like, you know, like, hey, here's your thing, finally.
Did Kate Winslet win for Titanic?
I feel like it, but maybe I'm totally wrong.
Who knows at this point?
We could never find out.
Look, people always say, why don't they Google this?
just think, you want us to take time to Google something? Come on.
Don't you want to feel superior to us?
Yeah.
That's what I want to be shouting at your phone.
She won an Academy Award for Best Actress for the Reader.
The Reader!
She was nominated for Titanic.
She was nominated for Sense and Sensibility two years before that.
Yeah.
She's been nominated a lot.
Best Supporting Actress for Eternal Sunshine, one of the best movies ever made.
For Chapter Trived for?
For Eternal Sunshine.
Eternal Sunshine.
Eternal Sunshine.
Best Actress for Little Sunshine.
Little Children, which was one of my favorite movies at one point, but it's so dark.
Because you liked one particular character.
The pedophore?
No, it's a really fucked up movie, but it's so beautifully acted.
And then she also was nominated Best Supporting Actress for Steve Jobs.
Steve Jobs.
I don't remember that.
Steve Jobs?
Steve Jobs.
Steve Jobs.
Well, one of our best.
You have to admit, Kate Winslet,
Mayor of East Town.
Absolutely, Mayor of East Town.
A salute to you, Kate Winslet.
She's a fantastic actress.
She truly is.
She's an English person.
She can speak it,
and she does a great job.
She never forgets words
in the middle of sentences.
That we know of.
That's true.
And if she does,
she covers it masterfully.
If you ever see her say,
uh,
uh,
I mean,
in a role.
She does that in a lot of words
in the middle of sentences.
Yeah, like in her lines.
She never just like...
She stabbers in Titanic a lot?
Yeah, she goes, uh, uh, what I mean is, what I mean to say is.
Draw me like one of your um, um, um, um, um, um, um, fucking, what is this?
Fucking, what is this?
Fucking.
The boat is, the boat is a, it's a, it's a, what do you call?
What do you call?
Not floating.
Not go up, but, but underneath the water.
All right, we have to take break.
I feel like there's so many people who have a great business idea.
A lot of entrepreneurs I talk to all the time, but they never actually do anything with it.

Remember when summer meant freedom? No school, no homework, no responsibilities. Well,

when you fucked.
As William Shakespeare once.
And two pack.
Two pack is a hologram now.
And two packs.
Three of him makes a six pack.
Have you ever thought about that?
If you were triplets.
Three, two packs.
Scott, what's going on with this art up here?
Yeah.
The one back up there.
It's beautifully framed.
What's the story?
Oh, that's part of the comedy band being set.
Oh.
Oh.
Yeah.
Interesting.
I'm only happy to.
happy to know that.
And what's that chair?
And David Desmouchon when he was here said that he probably painted that.
Really?
Because his friend designed the set and he painted it one day for her to help her out.
What an odd?
Oh, she wanted this to happen.
Yes, yes, yes.
He didn't just come in and tag the set or anything.
I want to Google to make sure I'm thinking of the right person.
Yeah, please think of the right person at all times.
101 dust malchins.
But I thought that was...
Yes, that's who I was thinking.
I was actually near him recently.
I was...
Hey, I was near you recently.
But I thought that was a very interesting piece of trivia.
I was happy to hear it.
I agree.
When he came in and did the show, that was fun.
And now that piece has so much more meaning to me.
Before it had none and now it has one.
I thought it was just abstract.
Yeah.
No, it's the one part of the...
I know, I know.
We know.
You just said it.
Fuck.
You both.
Hey.
Separately, but both of you.
No.
Simultaneously.
I call home tone.
I call home tone.
100% home tone.
Yeah.
So what I wanted to get you guys here to ask about?
Oh, no.
Not this.
Not this.
What's he going to do?
If you, if you know how our bodies are made up of what?
75% water?
It's 91%.
that much for you
my body is 91% water.
Your skin is liquid. I'm like Aquaman, but on the
inside. If you could change it to be any other
liquid, what would you choose? Milkshay.
Yeah. Oh my God, what a good idea.
I'd do barks root beer.
You can drink it? Well, when you cry, you
can. Can't you just like open up your vein?
Well, that would be blood.
Comes out. Well, when there will be water.
Oh, so this is on top of the blood. I thought this was
all liquid.
No, just water.
Water, yeah.
So I have blood mixed with milkshake?
That's the nastiest thing I've ever heard.
No, when you cry
and your saliva, I guess, is milkshake as well.
I've never cried.
You've never cried.
Not even as a baby.
When was the last time you cried?
You were a colicky baby, too.
You just sat there and took it?
Yeah.
Here's what I did.
It said.
What's the last time I cried?
This morning I saw the most beautiful sunrise.
I did cry at that movie.
that I saw this night.
You saw Coyote versus Acme, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I didn't expect to be so beautiful.
Well, when he slaps into that black painted hole on the cave.
He slaps into that black painted hole and tears were running down my cheeks.
I think movies are like my ass chocks.
Movies are excuses for us to cry, right?
Because like it's hard.
It's honestly hard to get it up cry wise for something happening in your life.
I don't think that's true.
I mean, you can think back at something retroactively or in retrospective and go like, oh, that's very touching.
But like, when's the last time you saw?
Oh, but something touching?
What's the last?
Yeah.
I don't mean like sitting there going like, my life sucks, which I'm sure you guys do all the time.
It happens.
I'm sure you do it too.
No.
But you know what I mean?
Like something where like you're sitting there going like, God, that makes me want to.
dab my eyes a bit dusty in here.
When something is touching.
Yeah,
was it like something happening in life?
Usually it's like,
it's got to be a movie,
right?
I know what you mean.
Yeah,
I know what you mean.
I think I have moments
where I'm able to acknowledge
that something is so beautiful
and amazing,
but I'm not necessarily going to start crying.
Yeah.
So that's what you're saying.
Yeah, exactly.
But if I watch you a movie
and something is beautiful
and touching, I will cry.
Yeah.
I was at a wedding one time
and it was my former manager
and, you know, we were, we were very close, and I was at this wedding in England.
And you ran in to stop it, right?
Yes.
I said, no, she needs to fill more time to my career.
This is a distraction.
And so her husband's from England, so they got married in England,
cheerio and all that.
And you went to the wedding?
And I went to the wedding, yeah.
And it was really fun.
at one point during the reception, I was talking to a friend of the grooms, this lovely woman,
her name was Ruthie.
Shout out to Ruthie.
And so we're like hanging out.
We were like buds during the reception.
And then I was talking about my manager and how happy I was for her and what a great person
she was, which is still the case.
And I started to get choked out.
I was also, I probably had a few beers or whatever.
You know what I mean?
And it's like a very...
Oh, by the way, I meant without alcohol.
It's hard to cry.
With alcohol, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
The tears flow.
Yeah, exactly.
And so I started to get choked up.
And I believe because Ruthie was English, she was like, are you all right?
Oh.
It's like, yeah, I'm happy.
I'm fine.
Saying good shit.
This is, yeah.
This is nice.
This is positive.
Yeah.
I do someone someone back when I was in college gave me the advice of like anytime you meet someone's parents like you have to remind yourself to say how well respected or well liked this person is you know what I mean because it's like so easy to just be like oh it's so great to meet you you know and not give them any inside and do no you have to you know I did that to Hym's parents and I thought it was unnecessary but I was like they're so amazing they're just so amazing you're just so amazing you're just so amazing you're just.
daughters are so amazing.
Everyone loves them.
Heim.
And they were like, yeah.
No, this was still a few years before they were
fully, but they were still huge.
Where was this occasion where you were meeting Heim's parents?
Because one of the Heim sisters did Ascat monologues
and their parents came.
All the sisters were there.
Their parents came.
Yes, and the parents came backstage.
And then I was like, you have raised amazing children.
This was years ago, years ago.
Did you see the drama, the movie The Drama?
I did.
Did you like it?
You know, no.
You know what?
In the theater, I actually was pretty disturbed by that movie.
But then Mike threw it on the other night and he was watching it.
And then I was like, it's actually, I mean, I thought the acting was really, really good.
And I thought it was really well written.
I thought it was beautiful.
The topic is a triggering topic for me.
So watching it at the comfort of my home, having already seen it where it's on a surprise and da-da-da-da.
I really enjoyed it a lot more.
I also thought it was weird in the movie where they were.
they go, surprise, this is what it's about.
Yeah, well, I had managed to avoid all the spoilers on the time.
So did I.
I actually didn't know.
I did too, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Janie and I watched it together.
I have it going in completely blind and we fucking loved it.
And it was really funny.
It is very dark comedy.
I enjoyed that,
but it was like almost like in the theater when that's a topic that I think about in movie theaters anyway.
Yeah.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, by the way,
Paul brings it up because one of the heim sisters is in it.
Yes.
And does a great job.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
And it's just.
I do not know the names of the individual.
Lannaheim is the one that's in that movie.
Lannaheim.
But Robert Pattinson's, I think he's so great.
I love him, man.
That was the movie where I realized, like, oh, yeah, I really enjoy this guy.
Me too.
You know what, me too, almost.
Batman is one of them, but also this, where I was like, he's just really.
And then recently I was talking to somebody about how in Twilight, he's been talking about
Twilight a bit more, you know, people interview and ask these random questions.
And he was just saying how, like, it was so cheesy and he couldn't stop laughing between takes.
And I was like, that's so great.
Like, that just makes me like you even more knowing that, like, you thought that,
even though I actually thought Twilight was really good, that like, you thought that was so dumb.
You're aware of what was going on.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I hope in the next Batman, he confuses his characters and he does Chris.
What's his name?
Not Chris Matthews.
Chris Hanson.
Yeah.
And says this to Joker.
Yeah.
Why don't you take a seat?
Have a seat.
I hope he says that to the Joker.
I hope he says that to the Joker is what I'm trying to say.
I got to see that movie.
I saw, I want to see that too.
Yeah, it's not...
Prime time.
What is it called?
No, not prime time.
Yeah, it is.
Yeah.
The documentary, I've talked about it already.
Anyway, the documentary...
You've talked about this to your blue in the face.
There's a documentary about that.
About this and I thought it was very good and I made the mistake of bringing it up in conversation to someone.
And they looked at me like I was very weird.
Because the topic is so...
Because the topic is so like, oh, you're...
It can be so like...
There's a lot of discourse about this movie, Primetime, about like, if you,
like it, oh, you're defending pedophiles
or whatever, so it's like... Right. Yeah.
Oh, I just watched a documentary
about the swan. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I remember
watching the swan when it was on. This is the reality
show where they give ugly women,
their words.
A million...
Wait, whose words? A million... The show or the women?
I mean, I'm sure the women.
No, the show kind of... The documentary
kind of was like, I mean, they're like less than attractive.
Like, they called them a lot of ways of saying that, basically.
Wow.
And they, and they, because also it's ugly duckling to swan.
I mean, that's like, yeah.
But like, it's so mean.
And they take these women who, by the way, are like 22, like some of them are like really young.
Yeah.
And you're like, oh my God, you don't even know what you look like yet.
Like it's like, you haven't even like self-esteem.
But they do like 200 plastic surgeries at once and then make them work out the whole time.
And then they added on that there's going to be a beauty pageant at the end and one has to be the most beautiful.
Which is like so fucked up.
Jesus.
They don't see their families for three months.
They have to exercise while recovering from plastic surgery, which is like not recommended.
Yeah.
It's like awful.
Anyway, it was so crazy.
And a lot of them were talking about how fucked up it was.
But they all look beautiful now.
Honestly, so they're gorgeous.
You look beautiful.
I mean, I'm not saying it was a good idea.
And they talk about their experiences?
Yeah, but you know what they don't talk about?
Which I would like, they do talk about how there's no follow-up care.
Like they get home and like some of them have.
had problems, like a breast, like implant rupture and like they can't afford.
And like also the maintenance to pay for.
Well, that's the thing about extreme home makeover too.
It's like they get these huge houses and then their tax bills go up.
I'm like, what are you doing?
Super high and they can't pay for them.
And a lot of these people had to sell their places.
And then the room is like designed like a kitty cat room or something where the bed is like.
They like football.
So I'm turning their kids room into a full football field.
I'm turning it into a big football.
But a lot of them had like just the maintenance to maintain the low.
not just even if you have a problem,
but like breast implants have to be replaced
after 10 years or whatever,
all these different things.
And,
but what I didn't really hear enough about
was the after effects mentally of doing that.
Yeah, psychiatric care.
Because one of them was talking about
how her kid didn't recognize her at first.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like so fucked up.
Anyway, it was fascinating
because I remember watching the show
as a teenager and being like,
this is crazy.
Did she show him her fingerprints and just say,
see, this is me?
Yeah, and that's how he knew.
No, she had to be like,
it's mommy and he like understood and then like hugged her.
But like it was like he was looking at her like her whole head was different.
The entire head.
Literally.
Let alone this bod.
But they were so taking advantage of.
Yeah.
That's why when I do it, I'm an adult.
I know myself.
And so when I have a complete transformation.
Because you're trying to transform into Abraham Lincoln, right?
Yes.
And I'm trying to transform into Baberham.
I've already had my legs broken twice.
Right.
What is that?
Just going to try to stretch them out.
It's going to take four more times.
Have you seen materialists?
Yeah, I did.
I enjoyed that a lot.
I didn't like it.
I can understand you not liking it.
I'm on the fence because I haven't seen it.
It's a rom-com, but it...
Romantic and comedy?
It has this slow pace, this calm, slow pace, unlike anything I've seen in that genre, honestly,
that I really enjoyed it because it was so weird.
Also, I was really stoned at the view.
Is that why it had such a slow pace?
I wonder if that might have to tell.
No, honestly, it doesn't.
I haven't watched it again.
It does have a slow pace.
And the problem for me was,
it's a slow pace where what they're laying out is very simple.
You don't need a long time to get up to it.
You do not.
No.
But I just enjoyed her.
To see what her problem is, like, well, I know what her.
What's going to happen?
When are we going to fucking get there?
Yeah.
No, I get that.
But I really, Dakota Johnson is somebody who I just really enjoy.
I have
I think she's very funny
I thought she was funny
in Madame Webb as well
I watched some of that too
I also like how she makes fun of it
I think that's funny
Every like interview I've seen with her
I really like her
and I like this movie
I also just I was like you know what
I like looking at her
she's pretty she's funny
she's enjoyable and I can just
accept that and just
and you know
because I think people like to fight back
against certain actors
and go like no and I'm like
she's great
do you think she went through the swan
probably
I think she has really attractive parents.
That's it.
Oh, that might be it.
You should do the swan, but genetics.
Well, on the swan, they're going, well, she has bad genetics.
They're talking about people like so grossly.
Like, it was just disgusting.
She has bad genetics.
I know.
It was awful.
It was awful.
Oh, my God.
Are we, I feel like we're living in an un-precedented, it goes to that saying,
an unprecedented era of nepo babies.
in show business.
But don't you think they've always been there
and we just weren't really putting the pieces
together? I've, no. I feel like there's
you got Jamie Lee Curtis.
Because there's so much more. I first thought too, so maybe they're
there's so much more content. Well, yes.
I feel like there's. Now we got
Will Ferrell's son. It's crazy.
What? I don't know about this. He's a singer.
He's a good. Apparently it's good. Yeah.
I'm not even saying it's not.
Like people aren't going to see him because
they are like, oh, look at Will Ferrell son.
They're coming out with the Cowell.
They didn't even know he was that.
They didn't even know.
And then when people tell him,
he is a really good singer.
Right.
He has to come out with a cowboy at some point.
He has to.
No,
I think,
I think part of it is that
Queens of the Stone Age song.
A, we're really attuned to it now.
So we're like looking for it all the time.
Like that,
uh,
do you change your last name?
But I know you're about it.
I'm not looking for it.
Yeah.
We had Emilio Estavis and Charlie Sheen.
And we were fine with it.
Julie Roberts and Eric Roberts.
And we loved it.
Nothing's different.
But also the argument, I mean, Michael Douglas was just on SmartList.
I was listening to him.
His book actually sounds really interesting.
He gets into like 10 movies that he did.
So you talk about getting cancer on his tongue from?
He does probably talk about that because he brought it up on the podcast.
But he, he, he talks about it.
It sounds like he does then.
He didn't say it like that.
He just said he had cancer.
And it made him reevaluate his life.
And did he like accept high fives from anyone about how he got it?
Yeah, they did Zoom high fives.
I think his book sounds interesting because it's like he breaks down like 10 movies that he made
and like how they got made from start to finish which is I think just I mean you know he's a fascinating guy
because he's was such a successful producer that's what yeah that's a lot of what it's that's you know
wait is smartless a Zoom podcast they've never been in person they're all over the place I did not
I mean that makes sense why are we doing this in person I don't know but Michael Douglas was saying he was like
you know, the argument about Nepo Babies.
He was like, I don't know why everyone's saying all this stuff.
Because, of course, any business that you're in.
Oh, you don't know?
You're going to have a plug.
Michael's ugly.
They were saying he kind of superseded his father.
In a way, yeah.
He became a movie star, a major movie star for years who could open movies.
I don't know that his father, I mean, he was in movies, but.
Of course he was.
He was huge.
But maybe, but I think they were almost saying that based on their generation because.
Yeah.
Michael Douglas.
It was easier back in the day when there were no movies.
So you're in all of them.
They made two movies a year.
Yeah.
You were lucky he got in one.
Yeah.
So he was saying about Napo babies, like, of course, any field of business, you're going
to have father and son and da-da-da-da-da-da.
Everyone's going to help.
No one says it about plumbers that they're Napo babies, whatever.
Yeah.
Holly's going to be a babysitter.
Yeah, because that's natural.
I mean, think about this.
You have to have a skill.
In your business, if, if Emmy wanted to act, you know, you wouldn't be like,
like, no.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, if you're interested
and you've grown up around this.
Yeah, and we would know
maybe a little bit more about it.
You know how to start someone out.
But also here's the thing.
This ought to be good.
If you're a plumber, that's your business.
Yeah.
And you're putting your son in your business.
Right.
This is not somebody else saying,
oh, you're related to this famous person,
then you can come work here.
I see what you're saying.
But I think that my point,
just to argue his side,
is that because you have been around it
and seen it all the time,
you naturally are inclined to pursue this, follow it, get good, you know,
have all the opportunities to get good, not just people opening doors for you.
Of course.
I understand that.
But there are some people.
Of course.
The foot in the door is the hardest.
Of course.
It does feel, and I'm not going to name names, but it does feel like some of them
are a little like, I don't know what went on behind the scenes for some of them to get
famous.
You know what I mean?
I, you know, of like what exactly did their parents do to grease the wheels?
I'm writing down a name.
Oh, okay, yeah.
Well, yeah, because sometimes they're not,
their parents aren't directly in the business that they're in
or like the arm of the business.
Yeah, but like what,
but you're so powerful in your arm.
What did you, what, exactly what doors did you open up?
Yeah, so Jonah Hill's dad was the accountant for guns and roses.
Very curious when you think about it.
Interesting.
And now he,
Jesse Dezlinick was the accountant for Deadwood.
And if he ever has.
But that wasn't, if he ever had,
Oh, if he ever has a kid, they'll probably be in movies.
They'll do a, they'll revive Deadwood probably.
But interesting nonetheless.
But interesting stuff.
But interesting nonetheless.
So my point is, I guess.
You're doing like a sort of soft launch for your kids being in show business.
Is that what you're doing?
I need them to just start bringing home the book.
No, I think it's very scary for children to.
We're actively trying to keep, I mean, because Emmy is very gregarious and does shows all the time and stuff like that.
but we're actively trying to keep her out of it.
So I,
but not,
not,
I mean,
when she's an adult.
We're true.
Yes,
exactly.
But we're,
it's not like we're trying to squash dreams.
We're just like never saying like,
oh,
maybe you should do this.
Oh,
I've never suggested such a thing.
Holly has brought it up after visiting me on set and saying,
like,
I would be an actor.
I'm like,
well,
it does look really fun.
Look at me.
You came up,
saw me doing stupid shit and people laughing.
Good luck.
Does it work out forever?
everybody.
No, but Emmy's dance recital, she ended up not even going out on stage, getting too shy.
And I was, and I was very much like, I'm sure if my parents, my parents, it was like,
if they had bought tickets for this thing and I hadn't gone out on stage, I think it would have
been a problem, you know?
And I was actively just kind of trying to say, like, I know you can dance, honey.
I don't need to see you on stage.
Like, I know you're a good dancer.
You can do it just around the house.
Like, I don't care.
Yeah. No, I agree. I agree.
I agree.
I agree.
But I would be okay to say to her.
I paid money for this. Yeah. I got invited by your parents.
If I was there and she didn't go out.
Yeah, I'm going to have a few words.
It's a ride off.
Sure, yeah.
These tickets are a ride off. I understand that.
Who are you, Daniel Day Lewis?
You're going to walk out in the middle of the performance?
Drink my milkshake.
You and Daniel Day Lewis.
All right. We have to take a milk check.

Hi, I'm Zasha Mamet.
You might know me from the show Girls.
I've been a horse girl since I was six.
Not a phase, definitely not ironic.
I will talk about horses until the people around me start to worry.
So I made a show about that feeling.
It's called OMG Obsessed.
and every week I sit down with one of my favorite people and ask,
what's your horse?
What's the thing you cannot shut up about?
So come being obsessive with me.
OMG Obsessed is out now.

We're back.
We're back and it's time for a three-cher.
It really is time for that.
And it's, you know, there are times for three-chers and times to let three-chers lie.
Scripture tells us to everything there is a season.
A time to be born, a time to die.
A time for snowmen.
A time for mudmen.
A time for just fragrant lays going around necks.
Wait, I have to tell you, there's this auction.
Is this late breaking news?
There's an auction for Paul Rubin's stuff.
Wait, I got to save this.
There's a replica of the bike.
I need to go look at this later.
I might need one of these beautiful posters I'm seeing.
here.
Really good stuff.
Really good stuff.
That would be great in my home.
It would be great.
Look at that later.
Yeah.
That's right.
Because now it's time for a three-chers.
Now it's time for one of these three-chers that we've discussed.
We're going to play a game called Celebrity Hunt.
We haven't done this in a while.
And the way it goes is someone says a celebrity.
We all yell hunt.
Then the next person has to name a celebrity whose first thing.
name begins with the last letter of the previous celebrity named.
Yes.
Now, they may be a mononym.
So it would be the last letter of their only name.
That's right.
But normally it would be the last letter of their last name.
Surname, second name, however you like to express it.
Government name.
Now, I'm going to propose a little tweak.
Oh, okay.
You want to get tweaked?
Based on more tweaked?
Hell yeah.
Based on the way we played this game previously.
And Lauren, thank you for keeping us on track.
Lauren, we need you for that.
That's my role here.
Thank you for being the mommy of the podcast.
I love to mommy.
Can I say I, when we were on tour together recently,
I still think about you, at one point you were giving Polyde orders.
And Paul said, you get tired to not bossing people around at home.
What was I'm passing you around?
I'm sure I did this.
Because honestly, they called me the mom on Stewart, too, because I would always be, like, doing something like that.
You weren't talking to us, like, you were telling us to do things that we were already going to do, like, that we knew to do.
I still think about that.
Well, like, get your suitcase somewhere.
Yeah, it was something like that.
It was just like you tired to not toss it around people at home.
It's like, I have to talk like this all the time.
I know, of course.
It's very hard to turn it off.
Of course.
No, and like when I was traveling with my castmates,
I was like giving them all sunscreen.
And they were like,
well, they needed it.
But that's good.
Yes, it is good.
Yes.
In previous times when we have played this game.
Previously on three,
churs.
That was touch and go.
I said dumb,
but then I realized it was churs.
Chers.
Chers.
What did you like better about three?
Churs or dumb?
My favorite TV show is churs.
You know what?
I just saw a picture from
Mama's family, which I watched a lot growing up.
And it was, um, Vicky.
You have a very mama's family vibe about you.
You got that album?
You got that album I sent you?
What's the album?
The mama's family album?
What is that?
I shared an album with you on iPhone.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Of Mama's family.
Yeah, my favorite moments.
Vicki, um, Lawrence.
Lawrence, who is amazing.
She wrote a letter to Carol Burnett and ended up working with her for, I mean, I was like,
she was a fan.
was a fan. It was so cool. Yeah, yeah. Mama's family
where she plays an old woman and then they showed the
ages of all the actors and the character they were playing.
And I was like, that's so fun. This is like
the traveling Wilburys thing.
What's that? Where they show how old they are. They show how old
they are and they're actually so much younger than you think.
Oh my God, yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm like...
41 and then everyone else was like 48 or
51. Yeah, she was like 37 when she
played the mama. Yeah.
And, you know, it's great. So funny.
But that wig was so good, you would never know.
They didn't put old age makeup on her.
No, they just,
stuck that wig on her in the glasses.
And that was mom's family.
That was mama's family.
Now, in the past, when we've played this game, a lot of times, this has happened many times
when somebody is faced with an N name.
N being the last letter of the surname.
Yes.
Okay.
The name that they choose to start with N is Natalie and Brulia.
What's wrong with?
You're calling for an imbruglia embargo?
Embrolio.
Yeah, we're in an imbrulia and we need an embargo.
I'm going to say no imbrulia.
At all.
No imbrilia ever?
For this, let's see how it goes for this round.
That's a good one.
God, I want to say it now.
That's all I want to say.
Of course.
That's what makes challenging.
What if we said it first, like if it's the first name?
What if we chant Natalie and Brulia among ourselves before we play the game?
Okay.
For 60 seconds.
Okay, sure.
I'm going to put a time there.
You're going to chant.
Natalie and Brulier.
Just to get it out of our system.
For 60 seconds.
We all are for 60 seconds.
How many times do you think we can say?
I know.
I know.
But we can probably do 20 of them.
You definitely don't want to say it.
I think we can do more than this.
Oh, no, 20.
Yeah.
It's a long name.
Let's see how many we can do in 60 seconds and then we'll, I mean, we'll settle this.
Yeah.
I'm keeping, I'm keeping.
You'll keep the time.
You're going to count.
All right.
Are you ready?
Yep.
Give us a countdown.
You got the permanent marker off of there.
Did you do the trick?
I did.
They did the trick.
Yes, thank you.
Which somewhat worked.
Three.
I still see.
All right.
Yep.
Three, two, one.
Natalie and Brulia, Natalie Imbrilia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie Imbrilia, Natalie Ambrualia, Natalie Mbrilia, Natalie Mbrilia, Natalie Mbrilia, Natalie Mbrelia, Natalie Mbrilia, Natalie Mbrilia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie Mbrilia.
and brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and Brulia, Natalie and
Natalie and Brulia. Natalie and Brulia. Natalie and Brulia. Natalie and Brulia. Natalie and Brulia. Natalie and Brulia. Natalie and Brulia. Natalie. Natalie. Natalie. Wow. We got right on the button. That was great. We did it 42 times. Wow. So more than twice what you imagined we could do. You have to think big.
And yet you didn't say, I think we can do it 40 times.
I did.
You just like rolled over.
I did say, I think it would be more.
But then I said, no, it's a long name.
I guess I'll just trust you.
I'll just trust you.
You're a man.
I'll just trust whatever you say.
And I said it loud.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And she's going to appear now.
By the way.
No, if you go past a certain amount of time, she doesn't appear.
Oh, she starts to come out of the hole and then she goes back down.
We know there are a lot of,
we know there are a lot of listeners out there who fall asleep to this.
show and we apologize for
insepting Natalie and Brulia into your dreams.
I don't. Maybe you enjoyed it.
You know what? I like how in the previous act
we kind of had a long, real discussion, and in this act,
we just chanted Natalie and Brulia for 60 seconds.
Yeah.
Anything could happen on this show.
Anything can happen on this show.
And it usually does.
Except having Mary Holland.
Well, that'll never happen.
We will never have Mary Holone.
Paige Davis and Reggie Miller, of course, welcome.
Of course.
If they do all the things that are required.
The fact that we have not heard of peep from them, and I know somebody,
I know, Paige, bought a cameo.
But she didn't, of her own volition, she didn't reach out.
No, no.
They basically told her to say it.
Yeah.
Yes, exactly.
Okay.
This is like the people who paid for a cameo for Norm MacDonald to,
to encourage people to swat these people.
It's like the people under the stairs.
What does that mean?
What?
Look it up.
Okay.
I don't know.
Look it up.
I don't know what it is.
Go look it up.
And I have time to look everything up.
I'm drowning and things look up.
Are we ready to play?
My kids are closing my computer screen.
Honestly.
And bedtime took three hours.
Last night I was seriously.
No.
I was like, this can't stand.
This can't stand.
We're not doing this again.
No, no, no.
And then like, I'm not serious enough for them.
Nothing matters.
I'm like, does this voice not scare you?
I may have started telling me I'm wrong when I know I'm right about something like yesterday.
You're wrong.
Yesterday I, she's like, I said, what do you want for breakfast time?
And she's like, cereal.
And I said, oh, okay, here's some.
And she goes, that's not cereal.
You put yogurt in that.
And I said, oh, no, no, it's cereal.
She's like, no, it's not.
I said, it says the word cereal.
And she goes, you're wrong.
Oh, my God.
And pointed at me in my face.
And she's very, very contrary these days.
Very contrary these days.
I want to play a little game called Celebrity Cunt.
This is, you name someone who is serving Cunt.
And then somebody else has to name someone who is absolutely also serving Cunt.
And if they're not, the game is over.
Bob the Drag Queen.
Bob the drag queen.
And then if you then say Rulia.
Culp blitzer, you're out.
Hunt.
Hunt.
Cunt.
Who says the first one?
I'll say the first one.
And then we in unison say hunt.
We in unison say hunt.
Clockwise.
Sure.
And you know what that is.
I don't need to because I'm starting.
Okay.
Great.
Is that way I always want to start these?
No.
I don't.
Clock is.
All right.

I'm torn.
I can't do it.
I'm a better face.
I'm a butter face.
This is how I feel.
I'm going on the swan.
Do you think R2D2 is?
is a butterface?
I think he is.
He's a butterball.
He's got a banging body.
Well, and that's what I think about C3Pio.
But he's a little in the middle, but he's got much back.
It's kind of how I think about him.
C3Bio is a little fussy, but I'd hit it.
Yeah.
Would.
I think C3Bio is an eight.
Do you think C3Bia would be really like particular about, like, how you're doing it?
Yeah.
He would never stop talking.
Yeah.
But then he sucks, guys.
He sucks.
Yeah.
He was wrong about everything.
But still.
He tried to shut them down every time they were doing something risky, and it always paid off.
For one night, though.
For one night?
For one night only.
For one night of pleasure.
With a C-3PO with a penis.
Have you been to the George Lucas Museum?
I haven't.
Janie's been.
She loved it.
I definitely want to go.
I was invited, but it was working.
Same.
Were you going to the opening?
No, I was not invited to the opening.
She got, Janie got this pin that says founding.
member. How'd you get that? I don't know, man. She punched someone and took it.
Oh, maybe she did. Oh, I bet that's what happened. That's why she's wearing those clothes that didn't fit her at all.
They were way too big. She swapped clothes with this person. Yeah. Weird. Well, guys, that's it for us.
A few things we want to plug. Look, Paul and I tonight, if you're listening to this, the day it comes out, we're in...
In Troy.
Emmy started saying that. I'm like, where did you hear that?
God, I said the world. Where are my...
Yeah, we're at Troy at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall tonight.
And then we just announced a big end of the year show, December 12th in San Diego at the Balboa Theater.
And that's going to be awesome.
We're going to get a bunch of people to come down there.
You can get tickets at CBBWorld.com slash tour.
Mary Holland and I will be in Chicago at the Park West Theater on October 5th.
That's already happened, dear.
I mean, November 5th.
Oh, great.
So now how do you feel?
I feel good because you stopped fucking up.
I'm glad that you fixed it.
I'm DiAngelo.
How does it feel?
November 5th, we will be there, and it's going to be really fun.
And we will also be at the Bell House in Brooklyn on November 14th.
And there's a handful of tickets left.
So get them on one hand, though.
I wish I could see these shows.
Thank you.
I really do.
We sold out Toronto, going there this weekend.
Where are you playing in Toronto?
I don't know.
The Randolph Theater.
Oh, sure.
Now, we're in November now?
No.
No.
No.
This is October 8th is when this comes out.
Okay.
Well, I want to tell you that I got a couple things coming out.
Okay.
You're going to see me and the rest of the thrilling adventure hour gang doing an evening of beyond belief.
And that, if you know the podcast, you know what that is.
If you don't know the podcast, come anyway.
It's fun.
That's Saturday the 10th at Dynasty Type Prize.
writer, two shows seven and nine 30.
Then the next night, back at Dynasty, it's me with Super Ego.
We're doing one of our forgotten classic shows where we take a book that none of us has
ever read and we improvise what we think it is about using only the character names,
the first and last line to the book.
This time we're doing for Halloween, The Invisible Man.
Are you just going to sleep there, the night of the 10th?
Yeah, I'll probably do a lock-in.
Yeah.
Christian lock-in.
Then.
Christian Bale.
Monday.
This is a busy time for me.
gosh. Monday at the Elysian, the Pat Pat Club, hosted by Patrick McDonald and Patrick
Sargent, this is an evening of actual nice, cool jazz music and improv. So the guys, the band
plays music and then we improvise scenes. Then the band will improvise something based off
of what we've done. And then the audience gets to improvise going home at the end of the show.
Wow. Yeah. But you get to improvise so you go to whatever house you want. That's true. That's what
the improvisation is.
Then Wednesday,
the 14th of October,
Largo with the Coronet,
it is the annual live reading
of Plan 9 from outer space
that Dana Gould puts on every year.
It's always fun.
It's one of those things that I've done it,
what, like five, six years now?
And it's fun every single time.
I always expect it to not be fun.
But it always is.
Oh, in October 18th,
aren't you and I doing that Muppets show?
Yes, we are.
We're doing a live reading of the Muppets
from SpacScript at Dynasty Typewriter.
Proceeds benefit the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
And then in October, I'm going to be with the Everything Now show for a live show.
Me and Anna Garcia are joining the ENS Boys at the UCB Theater.
It's live and live streamed.
What date?
That date is the 25th of October.
That's a Sunday.
Sunday night.
And then finally, the advanced tickets are sold out, but there will be walk-up tickets
day of Saturday the 28th of November at the Elysian Theater.
I am doing stand-up.
doing stand-up, putting an hour of stand-up together for the first time since 2015.
I'm really excited about this.
And you bought a joke book, right?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, I'm well on my way.
Okay, good.
Well, I've memorized a lot of the jokes.
If I'm in town, can I have possibly a comp to that?
I think so.
Okay.
Have you ever seen me do stand-up?
Not, not, I don't think so.
Not live, obviously.
I've seen your, I've seen a video.
Sure, you've seen videos of it.
But I don't think I've seen you do it live.
So you want a comp, meaning you want him to give you a tape of a different
standup doing similar jokes?
A compilation?
Something like that.
Yeah.
Something like a mixtape of me doing standup.
Other people doing it.
But in the vein of you, like people who you might say is you're like who got inspired
by and stuff.
Okay.
Cool.
So, Rose Master, Jeff Ross.
Tony, before he was killed Tony.
Yep.
He's just starting out.
He's just maimed Tony.
Yeah.
But this is going to be.
I should do it now.
I'm letting people know this.
This is going to be extremely rough.
This will not be streamed.
It will not be.
recorded and please keep your phones in your pockets.
Yeah.
And throw them at Paul.
Respect an artist who's working on something.
Now, that contradicts keep them in your pockets, I feel.
It's an either or, I think.
Either.
To prove that, hey, we're not going to live stream this.
We're going to throw it at you during show.
Throw it at me?
Yeah.
Not to me.
Well, I mean, if you're good enough to catch them.
If I'm good enough to catch them, I'm a good person.
I mean, yes.
That's what I meant is if you're the quality of your actions.
It sounds like the Holy Grail.
Yes.
All right.
That's it.
That's it.
Bye.
Goodbye.
