Dude, this kid.
Let's do it.
I know what you're going to say.
Let's talk about him.
I mean, this kid is on a mission right now, dude.
All right.
All right, welcome, everybody.
We are a few days out from Christmas, but throwbacks is here for you.
you as always
Maddie Ice.
We got to tell people
again what we want
for Christmas this year
go to the throwbacks page
on YouTube
that throwback show
on socials
follow,
subscribe,
interact, all that
that's all we want
in the stock.
Also, I would love
everyone who listens
and we appreciate you guys
and the follows
on social medias
and YouTube
and wherever you get your
podcast.
But I think for
2026,
I would
would love more engagement with our audience. So we always say like emails, questions, DM us on
social platforms, who you want us to try and get on the pod. What do you want us to talk about?
We got a lot of fun stuff coming. You know, like not really, it's a teaser, but we'll be at
Super Bowl together like we were last year. There's a lot of stuff that we get to do together on
the road, Jerry, which is awesome. So yeah, just, just, you know, we're just two dudes hanging,
talking, talking sports, telling stories, man.
So if you guys have anything, please message us.
You know what I think that we could do?
That could be fun, because I've done this before with MBA stuff,
do a open panel discussion.
Basically what it is is like old school sports radio calls.
You go live and you have people in the waiting room.
And you just bring them in.
But that's the thing they come, they pop in on video,
they ask a question and they start a debate.
and you know it's it's all kind of on the fly but that could be a lot of fun and I'm sure a lot of people would love the chance to you know definitely with college football and NFL football ask you some questions in the moment so maybe we'll do that too look at that might be our 2026 on the docket but before we could really talk about 2026 I think we have to give a proper year in review to 2025 it was an interesting year it was a good year sports wise a lot has happened we're going to do the
this quick throwback style as formal and informal as we get. So, Matt, are you ready to talk a little
2025? I am. I am ready. A lot happened in 2025. We'll see. Well, let's start here. And these go across
all sports, whether college football, NFL, NBA, World Series, fights, whatever. The best game
that you've watched this year. I mean, Dodgers World Series, dude. Which would you have a specific one?
Those game six and seven were all time.
Game six and seven were all time.
It had to be game seven, dude.
Just like that series, and we've talked about it,
but that series was the best, I mean, arguably the best baseball series
we've ever seen in the history of the sport.
I mean, just like, like, you know, Toronto didn't have all the stock,
but it's just everything.
Like they, every moment, and what stands out that game,
it was like, you know, everyone talks about the Dodgers.
and the payroll in this,
but it just came down to, like, basic fundamental.
It came down to defensive plays.
It came down to, like, Miguel Rojas was, like, out of nowhere.
Will Smith's foot barely on the home plate.
Like, like, it was, like, it's just, like, I'm getting chills thinking about it.
It's one of the best baseball games ever played,
and it was in a game seven in the World Series, and it was my team.
So, and again, you know how important the Dodgers mean to me with my family,
my dad, and all that.
So it's just one of those things, man, that's like, like,
you'll remember where you were when you watch that game if you're a baseball or
Dodgers fan and for them to win it that way, it was incredible. So that would be my best
game and it was just like it was filled with every moment as well.
Yeah, for sure. I can easily pick that one as well. For me, and I guess my selfish view of it
is, and you could pick either one, game one or game two. But Nick's second round versus
the Celtics in Boston down 22 points basically going into late third quarter coming back and
winning and bridges with the game winning steel and then only night to game two to go right
out and go down 20 points again into the fourth quarter and coming back in Boston and winning
going up to oh you could pick either one of those games but for for nix fans it's like of course
Boston's up by 20 we knew we were going to lose these games and it was stuff
I remember putting, I paused the game to put Jacob to bed because he was watching
with me and was ready like 930.
And then I came back and I had a little fast forward time.
But I started getting notifications on my phone like, oh, something's happening.
You can't do that.
You got to watch them live, dude.
I had to put him to bed.
I had to get this kid to bed.
It was almost 10 o'clock at night.
Just put it on your phone.
Just watch it while you're.
No, I kid.
Not me.
You know I'm a psycho.
So for me, that was that.
All right.
Next sports year and review question.
athlete who dominated the timeline.
I have a very, this was a very easy one for me.
Go for it.
We're just talking about who's on my timeline the most start in 2025, start to finish.
Shador Sanders, not close.
We go back to the draft, Matt, in April, you and I were having mass income.
Then in the summer, all throughout camp.
And now, obviously, for me, the timeline, maybe it's because I'm in Cleveland,
I'm a little, my algorithm is a little biased.
But for me, Shador Sanders pretty much since February was being talked about on my timeline.
And by the way, remember we were talking about it in the draft?
We were out of the draft in Lambeau and Green Bay.
And the whole thing was, I mean, again, it's just, it's just, the coverage was ridiculous.
But the whole thing was like the slide and all that, but he's going to get an opportunity to play this year because it's Cleveland and something's going to happen.
And sure enough, he's played.
And I think the interesting thing is going to be what happens with him in this quarterback situation in the future.
Did he play well enough collectively in these last few weeks to at least compete for the starting job next year?
Deshaun Watson's still there paying him a lot of money.
Do they draft another guy?
Because, again, they don't really have much capital in quarterback room like Dylan Gabriel and Shador Senor's third, fifth round picks.
They're not paying them anything.
right um you know do you go and get maybe one of these guys that you might believe in in the top
five picks i don't know it's going to be really interesting by the way he's dominated your timeline
and he's going to continue to dominate your timeline in the offseason because everyone's going to
want to know what the cleveland browns are going to do um for me
Travis Kelsey i think that's an easy one he dominates my timeline because i'm just a fan of
Taylor Swift in Texas.
So my whole
for you page is just
my guy and I saw him
at Mahomes golf tournament
in Vegas this year earlier this year
and it was fun because I've always
loved the dude. He's a great
dude. He hasn't let any of this
fame
on a whole other level, a
stratosphere level with her
change who he is. He's a great
dude. He's a locker room guy.
And I say that because
you know, this might be the last year we see him play football.
I know.
Yeah, and I say that.
So, like, you know, if it is, I mean, send off to probably the greatest to do it.
I mean, I think he's definitely in that, he's definitely a goat conversation,
as easily could argue he's the best tight end of all time.
So he kind of dominated that, but also, like, I have a feeling he's done.
It just kind of feels like the way he's talking, but he was all over.
I guess, you know, we, I know guys have been coming back very, very quickly from the injuries quicker than ever before.
But if you mean to say, like, you don't know for sure if Patrick Mahomes is going to be your quarterback coming into game one.
Yeah, I mean, I think he'll be, I think he'll be back at some point early in the season.
He'll recover.
Right.
But I'm saying, for Kelsey, you got to weigh that too when you weigh in this decision, right?
I just, it just felt like, and I respect him because, like, you don't really do like a fair,
Well, like NBA guys are doing like farewell tours, right?
Like, it's like ridiculous.
I get it, though.
But like, Kelsey, don't even really, he's just like, you know, I'll figure it out in the office.
It just feels, it feels different, right?
It just feels like the tone is a little bit different, right?
Because this window's closed.
Like, their championship window, it's just closed, man.
You know what I mean?
For at least a few years, right?
They have to reboot the whole team.
Yeah, you have to reboot the whole team.
The Holmes is still in this prime.
But, like, we talk, Reed is getting old.
Like, it's just, like, they had a great run.
And it's, you know, it's just, it was like the first time I started thinking, too, about, like, is, is, this Mahomes wear a Chiefs jersey his entire career?
Because kind of like the LeBron blueprint in a way, like, they've put so much resources toward win now and they had a lot of expensive pieces and they have an older coach.
If that's over, if you're Mahomes, do you want to sit through a sort of, I know football rebuilds can move a little faster at times?
but do you want to sit through a rebuild essentially
or do you want to maybe head somewhere else
where they're a little closer
and maybe take a little less money?
My thought is,
my thought is in anything going to happen
that he'll be a chief
probably his career.
The one is Joe Burrow.
That's a whole other conversation
that we can start in 2026
because I don't think he's going to be a bangal.
There's no way.
I think there's no way, dude.
and you could hear it, you could feel it.
I've been in, I mean, I'm not Joe Burrow by any means,
but I can just put my mind in a quarterback's,
like, getting beat up like that and just like, what are we doing?
And the losses pile up.
And you're on, you're in a historically terrible organization.
Like, they're just bad.
They don't spend money the way on the right things.
He's going to be a superstar that is gone in the next two years, in my opinion.
One thing I forgot to mention on the Shedora Sanders, why he dominated my timeline, too.
He officially has a conspiracy theory.
Have you heard this to Fanski?
No.
This is on my soul again.
I don't even know this is true.
I saw this on Twitter.
But, you know, the whole crowd that's like, they're intentionally, they're trying to set.
Right, whatever.
But someone did this, like, deep dive.
So Dion Sanders famously, I guess, either when they won the World Series or got to the World Series,
doused Tim McCarver in Champaign.
Again, this is a fake conspiracy.
It's an amazing fake conspiracy.
Maybe someone could research and tell me
if this is real or not.
So Tim McCarver, like they had words.
There was an awkward confrontation on live TV.
And apparently, the conspiracy theorists
is saying that Kevin Stefansky's married
to Tim McCarver's daughter.
And this is like retribution for Dionne Sanders
spraying Tim McCarver.
I just, he has a, both of saying
for timeline purposes, this is why
this dude's all over mine.
So, oh, we touched on a lot of things there.
Yeah, so now let's do our Wendy's fresh take of the week
when talking about 2025 year in review.
Everyone could join Team Tendies and enjoy a lineup like never before.
Crispy, juicy Tendies now at Wendy's.
For this one, Matt,
we're just going to do our 2025 moment of the year.
Now, there's a lot of great moments across sports.
You can go anywhere you want with this.
I took my time with this one.
and we already touched on amazing stuff with the Dodgers.
For me, I went Rory McElroy closing out the Grand Slam,
getting all the majors.
He's had such a big year.
He almost choked it too.
Almost blew it.
And for Rory, you know, he hadn't won a major in so long.
And for golf, that really is how you're measured
when you're one of the great ones.
So for him to take on all that pressure
and winning Augusta with the world watching,
and I was such a golf nerd,
That was my moment.
By the way, it was great.
And one of my top moments, and this isn't, this is what I'm going to say, but it was
the Ryder Cup this year.
Yeah.
Because it was so invested because of golf and just, you know, obviously getting more
into it and then having JT on and all these things.
But to watch, I believe that Sunday, us like starting.
You were texting me.
You were texting.
You know, we had to win.
Like, we were down seven.
Like, you had to win.
And then the first couple win and Jay, that we were hitting like 10 foot putts
to win and then and then and then and then by the and then they made a couple and then it just fizzled
and we lost but it was like the the hype that day like I hadn't I hadn't watched golf that
long ever in the history so for me the the the moment the game the thing that I thought was
the coolest this year was the four nations face off in the NHL oh wow good call and I
thought about this because you know I love hockey like I don't watch a ton of I love hockey but
we're always talking about how you can change the NBA All-Star, you change the Pro Bowl,
or like this in-season cup for the NBA. It has one of those things, like, how do we get people
more excited, right? I thought that was the greatest thing that the NHL could have ever done,
right? It was the four teams. I think it was what, Sweden, Canada, U.S., and Finland.
Yes.
And playing in like a little, like, Olympic-style tournament for like that weekend. And,
The ratings were huge.
It had the moments.
Canada beat us in the final.
But remember, it was like the, yeah, the fights.
Yeah, three fights in the first nine seconds.
All the stars played.
Like, it was just like, it's like, you know, when we watched the, when we watched the
dunk contest, we want to see, like, I want to see Anthony Edwards in the dunk contest.
I want to see John Moran.
I want to see, I would love to see LeBron in his prime.
Like, all the stars played in this and it was meaningful.
That's why we love like the Olympics, right?
Because you love your country.
So, anyway, the Four Nations face off, I thought it was fantastic.
I'm assuming they're going to do it every year
because it was such a hit.
But man, I was glued to all those hockey games.
And it was like, I mean, they didn't really mean anything,
but it was pride and stuff.
So that would be the moment.
They just, like, that was so cool.
I think it meant a lot.
And I think the momentum of that was felt around sports
because you got to imagine now going into 2026 with the NBA
and their All-Star weekend.
Now they're doing essentially America, like NBA versus the world.
And where did they get that from, you know?
And then you look at basketball in the Olympics.
Like, that's probably been one of the best basketball moments with Steph Curry putting them to sleep, you know?
So I think that was the first, oh, shit, moment after the success of the World's Cup or whatever it's even called that, like, other sports are like, man, we got to do better because that is as high level as it gets.
By the way, high level and, like, playing as hard as they possibly could.
like it wasn't like an all-star like you know like the NHL all-star games you know like again like it's
all-star no one wants to get hurt no one's like people want time off but they play like NBA all-star you know
these guys aren't going to play a physical game like it's game seven of the NBA championship but like
these dudes were playing for their country and it meant something and they were fighting and like
Connor McDavid is the best player in the he scores like they just had all these moments and you
could tell it meant something to them like they were like hell yeah we're playing for our country
it was like it was awesome dude it was just like holy shit this is this is rad like we're gonna see this
every year it's so cool shout out to wendy's too for supporting us the whole year wendy's and um
my next one for you it's funny because like i i had it as like viral sports moment now this could
be like good or bad or chaotic and i went with like bad to chaotic i didn't go good i don't know
why my brain just went to bad chaotic um for me
the thing that I still find myself thinking about
and I can't even believe that it happened
was the Stephen A. Smith, LeBron James
court side stuff. All because
we just never see that, right?
We live in a world now where
if you get pissed off, you just go on someone
athlete-wise, just go on someone's podcast,
talk to shit, get your point across,
and then keep it moving. Never
do these two people cross paths
and it's for public display.
And we kind of saw it.
It was awesome. You know, it wasn't quite
Will Smith keep my son's name out
your mouth like he did with slapping Chris Rock, but you just don't see that.
And I don't know if any other player besides LeBron would have even done that.
And I wonder like in your career, you know, people have probably said good things, bad things.
Have you ever wanted to just a reporter that maybe had it out for you?
Yeah, beat the hell out of them.
Or just even just like, you know, unload some verbal shit that you had on your mind.
They're definitely, there definitely, yeah, there definitely has been times.
I think, like, the closest thing that I could always talk about, I was like Ken Wisenhunt, you know, with my coach in Arizona who, you know, I just, again, we don't have to go rehash all of that.
But there are just moments where I just, I thought I was treated unfairly.
I knew he didn't like me.
I didn't like him.
I think I ran into him a couple years later, like on the sideline or something.
and I just like we shook hands and kind of like I don't even say buried the hatchet because I'm sure he did I didn't think about him ever like I didn't care but it's just one of those things where it's like when you do when it does pop up you're like oh yeah that that that ass you know like that so that would probably be the one um moment where we probably shook hands and moved on but there were always reporters that said bad stuff and um oh yeah the dude the dude who uh I'm not even give him not even mention his name because I don't know his name but but
the first picture that ever went viral
you write the whole hot tub thing
that dude I would I would beat his ass
if I saw him
but he's he's he's low level
so um but uh yeah
we could we can we can close that too
because that guy was
and I even think like you remember when like
Blake Griffin ran into Balmer court side
after he got traded and shipped out
and Blake just blew past him
pretended not to see him
that's a very slick way of like unloading
without actually doing the act like
no one can really call
out, but it was a clear, you know.
But we're going to get more of these, I think, because to your point, we do have, like,
we can hide behind a camera, you can hide behind your, your Twitter thumbs, but it's so
out there now and in your face that eventually, like, guys in the NBA are talking smack it.
Like, you're going to cross into people now and you're going to see it.
And we're going to see more moments like LeBron and Stephen A, I think, because of the access
that we have to everybody.
It might not be at a court side game, but, um, you know, yeah.
We're also in this, like, world now where, you know, in sports media, there's, like, straight up stars now.
Like, McAfee is a star and he has to say things five days a week.
Stephen A is a giant star.
He's on TV fucking five hours a day, right?
Like, it's going to happen, but, like, now their profiles are so large and their followings are so large that it's making this clash.
Like, you didn't go at that reporter with the photo, but imagine if that was, like, McAfee, leading.
with that photo, right?
Like, I know.
You'd be, it'd be a whole different world that, you know, so you're right.
And it's tricky that LeBron's situation, too, because the cat worms is like the kid.
Yeah.
But also, like, you know, that's part of being a pro athlete.
His pro is getting criticized by, you know, it's like.
Yeah.
And Bronny's an adult too now, you know, he's got to, yeah, I mean, it's, yeah, it's interesting.
All right.
Let's bounce around.
You know what, let's stick with.
our good friends now at NHTSA because this one I think we're going to have to spend a minute on
because I'm privy to who I think you're going to pick here. First off, it's now time for Crossroads
presented by NHTSA next time you're out drinking, call a ride chair, a taxi, a sober friend,
or designated sober driver. The only decision that will change your world for the better is the
decision to call for a sober ride. Get sober or get pulled over. Matt, the question I have
for our Knitsa Cross Road moment.
Someone who wasn't anyone's official MVP,
but was your MVP.
Dude, this kid...
Let's do it.
I know what you're going to say.
Let's talk about him.
Timothy Shalameh.
This kid...
What a heater.
What a heater.
I mean, this kid is on a mission right now, dude.
And the best part about him is he seems like...
Actually, I know he is.
And you know, I know him a tiny bit, right?
just nicks and stuff he just seems like a kid man who loves he he's like he does a job he does
it as well as anybody in the world he loves sports he just saw him a couple weeks back he's
watching a table tennis match i think i saw he's all over like just literally with normal people
just watching like back and forth like ping pong or someone like he is got a girlfriend who's
super famous who's awesome he's got
every hit movie
he's incredible
he's a sports fan
I just love the dude man
he's at a real crossroad
in a good way
because you know
he gets so many comparisons
to other actors
and I guess the easy comp
if we're doing it
like sports coming out of a draft
right you would maybe make
the Leo comp right
in certain ways
Leo was you know
blew up so
when he was around the same age
but and like
the thing for me
I'm with Leo, and again, I don't, I don't know him all that well. I've only met him a couple of times. Good dude. But I think he kind of followed this old school way of thinking on an acting front where it was, I can't let you know too much about me personally. And how are you going to believe me in all these different roles? If you know all this about me, I'm not saying, he's never said that to me. I've never heard him really say that publicly. That was always the vibes I got from his camp and just watching him all these years. You know, Shalame, I think,
who's like the, I guess you could say,
it's almost like the modern version
where it's kind of the opposite.
I just saw him on a wrestling pod,
okay, with Cody Rhodes,
where he went so deep
into every wrestling event that he was on.
Obviously, like the ping pong stuff
at Mario Supreme, the Knicks stuff we've all watched.
If you go back in time to early this year,
I talked about those Knicks Boston games,
he's following them around, right?
And then he's even linked to be,
you know, there's this whole,
is he this hidden rapper who wears a mask, right?
People think it's him.
There's this lore going on
And he's been very public outwardly saying
I want to be one of the best to ever do it
I want to win the Oscar like he's not
It's not that he's not being humble
He's just being competitive
I do think his intersection
With sports has made him
Competitive with his career
He it's it's a great comparison to Leo
Because Leo there's so many layers to Leo that you're like
You don't know a lot about him right
But a good dude like never
no one says a bad thing about it but with timothy he still has even though he's out in the public
and he's kind of like one of us right like he just he just loves the things he loves and he's doing
it and he's competing at a high level but he's not he doesn't shy away but there's still an aura
about him i think that you're just like there's something about this kid that he's just oozy
like he like we talk about and as a quarterback like you have that it factor he has just that it
factor even though we see him all the time in public and we're like cool he's
still has the aura you know what i mean so to be able to do that and balance both is well and and
he's a g and also like it's hard to get anyone to see movies and leo's maybe in the best movie of the year
i don't know if it's going to win the oscar one battle after another it's you know it's on my list for
another topic we have in here but we're starting to see leo he never went on late night talk
shows we're starting to see that you know he did new heights with benicio so i think it's uh
shallmate understanding like you gotta you can't promote the movies the same way you used to
it just doesn't work anymore you have to get out there you did a cool sit down with uh jennifer
lawrence that just came out too that's and she's she's a great but yeah so he's like never
seen titanic since you made like god well i feel like it's great because there's so many
questions you want to ask a guy like that because he's just kind of like he's kind of hid for like
the last 30 years and it's like to see him like your point to kind of see him open
up and he's laughing. He's like, because he's a good dude. I mean, I know a lot of people
know him. They're like, dude, he's like, loves playing basketball, like pickleball. I think he
plays or something. But, um, but yeah, man. Shalamay, by the way, how, I mean, how old is
Shalemay, 22? 22, 23 or something. I don't know. He's, yeah. But, uh, a Timothy 2026
throwbacks, man. We got to get you on. Is that, that's got to be our resolution. Yeah,
it's got to be. And all I know is my, my, my only real encounter.
out there. I've talked about on the show before, but I go back to playing pickup with him when he was
like, 16 years old. And that mofo was picking me up 90 feet, bro. He was like Delavadova
or Nemhart. He's 29. He's 29. Is he 29? Almost 30. Times flying, bro. Times going to go by quicker.
But yeah, that dude was picking me up 90 feet. And I didn't like it. I was like, get this kid out of here,
picking me up 90 feet. All right, a few more. And then we're going to close up because we're going to
come back next week. And we're going to do the flip side to our year interview, which is going to be
are freezing cold takes,
which is my favorite Twitter account,
maybe of all time.
Let's figure out one more to do here.
Oh, you know what?
Let's move into a little bit of TV.
I like to hit Maddie on some pop culture stuff, okay?
Give me...
Is there a show that you binged embarrassingly fast?
Like, the fact that you finished these episodes
in this amount of time would shock people.
This year?
This year.
Hmm.
The problem is, dude, is I don't, I, I'm always on that dilemma if I start a show with the wife
and she's kind of into it, kind of not. Do I keep watching it without her? Because I travel so much.
So there wasn't a show, um, that I binged, but my favorite show, it's kind of is, is, is Yellowstone.
It's my favorite show. See, I've never seen Yellowstone. Yellowstone is absolutely one of the best shows I've
ever watched, in my opinion.
My Game of Thrones is my number one, but
Yellowstone, I think it also
finished this year, so I think it's done.
And then
Landman, which is currently on...
Oh, so you're part of the Taylor Sheridan
Universe. I'm all a part of Taylor Sheridan
Universe, dude. I haven't seen some of the
other ones that he did, but, like, Landman,
because Billy Bob Thorne is one of my favorite actors.
Like, he's just great, and he's so good in the show.
Landman has peaked and
slowly become one of my favorite shows
of 2025.
And it's, I think, I think we're only in season two.
So, those would be the two, man, off the top of my head.
Do you know what surprised me if in 10 years?
I don't know why this makes sense because you're such a, you know,
you're a California kid.
To me, you're such a beach guy, you know, now that I've really gotten to know you.
But, like, it wouldn't shock me if 10 years were like, you're a liner.
I bought like a ranch.
I don't know why.
I feel like I could see one like a...
Tell my wife that she would go buy a ranch tomorrow and live there for her.
Not that she's going to be, like, riding horses and ship.
I see you make, or maybe just like Lake Life with some real property,
where you maybe have some horses or how, I can see you going like Landman.
Lake Life is my dream.
That's for sure.
Landman, I don't know, man.
I can't see myself having a barn and like having horses.
I don't think you're doing the work.
You're not like milking cows.
I ain't doing that.
I'm not saying that.
But just like I could see you having some property.
We'll just call it Lake Life.
I don't know.
I see you in a cowboy hat.
I know you like stage coach.
You like the country music.
It's true.
You're speaking Josie's language right now.
I didn't really have intentions on watching this show.
And honestly, like, I judge how good a show is now by does it keep Bree and I awake?
Like, are we awake past 10 o'clock watching?
There's only really been two shows so far in the last six months that have done that.
And one was stranger things because we've been fans from the beginning.
So we banged all those out quick.
But the one that I was surprised, I didn't think I was going to watch it.
And then I got really curious was, I love L.A.
I don't know if you've watched the show or heard much about it.
And maybe selfishly, they're making a lot of comparisons.
Like, oh, it's like girls.
It's like sex in the city.
And Rachel Sennett, her name, she's the lead of the show.
She's also the creator of the show said publicly,
well, yeah, it's more what I was influenced by.
It's more like early entourage, right?
And I'm like, no one says that stuff anymore, let alone a show with a female lead, right?
It's like, you can't say that.
So I'm like, let me, let me watch.
Threw on the first episode.
I'm like, that's pretty good.
Threw on the set.
And I ripped through him.
And now I'm caught up to where the episodes are cut.
Now I have to wait till Sunday night.
Where do you watch it?
Where do you stream it on?
HBO.
HBO.
It's an HBO show.
I think that was also some of the like sex in the city comparisons.
But I love L.A. is a very, very well done fun show.
Not even because she said nice, kind things about entourage.

the kids show that you secretly love
that you're a boys watch that you are in the background
maybe checking it what are they doing this week
what's up dude what's up buddy you say hi to Matt
hi um
that's a good
Okay, so that's a good question.
I'm all, here's, I have, one, the sad part is, is my boys don't watch a ton of shows
because they just watch YouTube.
Right.
Well, maybe there's a YouTube show for you, though.
But, yeah, we're big, big Ben and Cam fans.
Ben and Cam.
Can you bring Kaysen in here?
Have you heard of Ben and Cam?
Don't touch the mic.
Yes, we've heard of Ben and Cam.
Hello.
Okay, hold on that.
What's up, dude?
Don't worry, I bring Kaysen.
You and Kaysen are going to do a podcast right now.
Matt's going to bring Kaysen.
You haven't seen Kaysen since L.A.
It's more than movies for me, Jerry.
It's more when I'm scrolling movies.
I'm like, hey, let's throw Toy Story guys on because I want to kind of watch it.
And they're like, dad, we've seen it 50 times.
I'm like, yeah, but let's just what are like cars.
So it's always like kind of one that I want to kind of at least like.
Well, you know the big news is Toy Story 5 is coming out next year.
That's like my most anticipated.
movie of 2026 for sure
Hold on, Kaysen's coming in on the show real quick
Hey
Hey, look at here
Hi, Kaysen
Can you hear him?
What's up, buddy?
Hi
And boys, ask Kaysen what his favorite show is
Let's see what it is
So, yeah, could you ask Kaysen what his favorite TV show is?
What is your favorite show?
What are you watching right now, Kaysen?
The scream
What's your favorite TV show to watch?
What's your favorite TV show that you like to watch?
No idea
What do we watch on YouTube?
Who do we watch a lot on YouTube?
Ben and Cam.
Ben and Cam on YouTube?
Now, wait, Jane,
can you tell Kaysen your favorite show?
I mean, I know what it is,
that I Dad watches what you all the time.
Bluey.
Bluey!
Have you watched Bluey?
No.
You should try out some Bluey.
Why?
It's a fun show in their quick episodes.
They're like really fast.
Can I tell them something really quick
because we're closing out the show?
Who watches Bluie?
Bluey's that pretends to be a chicken.
Cory Carson, we watch Cory Carson.
Cory Carson, remember Corey Carson?
Yeah.
All right, go scram.
All right, bye.
Get out of here.
Kaysen.
So there we go.
We got a little bit from our correspondence.
All right, that's our throwback to your review.
Let's bring on Annie Agar for some twisted
trivia, see if I could keep the momentum going.
Joining us, as she always does, Annie Agar,
courtesy of Twisted Tea. Grab a
refreshing twisted tea today.
I'm definitely going to need one, probably after this round of
twisted trivia that we're going to be doing.
Annie, in a new location, once again, you don't have to give it out.
It's an undisclosed location we can just say for you, right?
I'm hidden away somewhere. Yeah, it's the holiday
location, you know?
Got to get back with the family for the holiday.
Well, are you Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
I feel like every family has Matt and I talked about this last week.
Are you Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
That's a great question.
We have a different tradition for both days.
So Christmas Eve, we go to church and then we come back.
We always open up pajamas.
My mom says every year she doesn't have them and she always has them.
We always open up pajamas.
And then we just drink and eat food and play these super competitive games.
Like my family gets really into games.
So we just have a night.
and then we wake up.
Then, like, Christmas Eve is super chill.
We don't, we stand our pajamas all day, open presents, relax, have a good breakfast.
And now you got football.
Yeah, what kind of games you guys play?
There's so many new games.
What games do you play?
There's so many new ones.
We have, so.
Yeah, glimpse.
My mom is insane with, like, she plans so well.
But she last year had an auction.
So we all had fake money and she had wrapped presents differently.
So, like, there were small presents in big boxes, big presents and, you know, random bags and stuff.
And you had, you could spend, you only had like, I think we each had like $200 of fake money.
And you had to bid on each auction package.
So like my, but it seems a lot harder than it actually is.
Like you can, you can outbid other people and but you could, you could spend all $200 on a terrible present, you know, like my brother.
It's an auction draft.
My brother got like a can, it's an auction draft.
Yeah.
He got like a can of sardines and he was holding out for like the entire auction because he thought he was there.
One of the presents was like a TV or something.
So my mom, they'll like be big presents.
Wow.
And he was holding out the entire auction and he waited to the last one.
And he got screwed.
Because it was the biggest one.
It was like a little can.
That's hilarious.
I love that.
It's so much fun.
Yeah.
And then we play like the typical like Yukur.
We love Uker.
Uker.
That's a Midwest game.
Okay.
Very much.
What is what is Uca?
I've heard about Yucre.
It would take the entire show to try to explain.
Is it a card game?
Is it a card game?
It's a card game.
But like the dumbest card game ever.
But it's fun.
But somehow I've also lost thousands of dollars playing Yuker.
That game sounds.
fun. That's part like prices, right? Part deal or no deal? Like, you could take this now
or go, is your mom like auctioneer going like, let me get a hundred again? She's running the
show, right? She did. Yeah. I don't know if you're guys ever watch Survivor, the show Survivor.
Yeah, of course. So they do it on Survivor toward the end. I don't know if it's like new,
but they, in the last season they didn't do it, I don't think, but they do like the same thing, but
with food. So I think that's where she got the idea. So you can, you spend your money wisely.
You can get like two or three meals. But if you don't, then you're.
What is, we, Jerry and I talked about this last week and, um, because we have kids.
So we, we talked about kind of like the worst tradition and elf on the shelf is definitely just
flown up the, flown up the ladder for us.
I don't know how you guys do that.
Is there, is there a worst tradition or a tradition that you hate that you've seen?
Maybe you're not a part of that you've seen or just something that, or no.
I don't like when, um, I actually dated somebody who's family to this.
I don't like when people, the kids just open presents.
Oh, yeah.
Whenever the hell they want.
Stresses me out.
Like, you're telling me I spent two weeks trying to find this present for you and you're just ripping it open and on to the next one.
Actually, this is a good question for this is a good.
So are you, so, Josie gets so mad.
This is her pet peeve.
So like when we're at, if we go to my brother's house or we're like, we go, everyone just opens presents without saying who they're from.
And it's like, and that's kind of how we grew up.
But it wasn't like, it wasn't a race.
We just kind of like did it that way.
Yeah.
And she goes like, we do one at a time.
Like everyone goes around.
It takes more time, but it's also a little more thoughtful.
It's an audience.
It's just like, hey, open up one before.
Say thank you.
Give a hug, whatever.
And then you move on to the next one.
So that's what you guys.
That's what.
Yeah.
And it's harder with big family.
Like I get the big family thing.
But with us, it was always just my immediate family.
And then like maybe a couple cousins and stuff.
And we do it that way.
And then it would make it last longer.
And we'd plan it.
So like we'd have mimosas and now it's so fun.
We just take our time and I don't know.
I forgot about that.
Well, let's get, I want to get a female perspective on this question that Matt and I answered last week as well.
How far do you extend the gift buying?
Like, who do you buy presents for currently?
How far into it do you go?
Yeah.
Where's your cutoff?
I don't really, so for like my, all my girlfriends, I'll host.
like a dinner and then I'll get them like slippers and pajamas or cute little things and then
it's just pretty much my immediate family and then my agent and her assistant you do the business I like
I do I do and I love oh I love I'm a big gift giver like that's you know like the love language is mine is
the way I show love is by gift giving not really receiving it with gifts but for her like she loves
her dogs and she loves wine so I found this person on Etsy that Pam paints a like a dog portrait
on a wine bottle oh you're so thoughtful
It was so fun.
Me and Jerry are terrible gift gifts.
I would never think of that.
I would think of the wine.
Like,
I sent Matt some wine.
I would never be like,
I'm gonna paint Matt.
I just,
I respect it.
Like,
do we like,
do the three of us get each other gifts?
Like,
where does the cut off?
You know?
Like,
I'm gonna take the pressure off right now.
Absolutely not.
No way.
My gift to you guys is,
I'll pick the next winner of trivia.
I'll do some nice with trivia.
I will text you a.
really nice thoughtful text on Christmas morning saying how grateful I am for this new relationship
and this segment and all the stuff we're doing together. Which he did you on Thanksgiving. That was
so one of you guys did. That was so sweet. Matt's a good texter. He's a thoughtful. That was very
sweet. Yeah. I'm a great, I'm a good texter. I think I'm very thoughtful when that, but I'm just not a
great gift gift. I'm not a creative like, Josie's always like, I'm like, God, like, I'm just like,
I'll give her flowers once a week. Like, I'm just like thoughtful like that, but I'm not like, you know,
there's not a lot of, I don't want to say, like, deepness to it.
It's just like, I don't have, like, my buddy did a, my buddy did for his, I was like,
bro, what are you doing to us?
He did, like, a song.
He, like, made a whole song about their, um, it's cool.
It's awesome.
I was like, oh, that'd be awesome.
I guess you could type it in and you can make a song about your journey of dating and then
it kind of throws out a song about it, but it's like, legit.
AI. Yeah.
But it was, it was different than AI.
It was something.
And, and he did it.
And I'm like, I'm like, fuck, dude.
You're like, you're making me look bad.
Now, does it count, though, if I talk about this last year with Brie being pregnant and I,
I put it all into chat GPT or some AI app and say, I need a song, but just how beautiful
my wife's been during this pregnancy?
And then it spits me out an amazing song.
Do I get credit for just throwing it in chat GPT?
Yeah, because it takes five seconds.
Because you, but you put the thought behind it.
That's what.
I would be so stressed out
if I had to get you
well Matt I feel like if I had to get a
co-working gift for Annie
I would be like fuck what do I get
Annie would either be something way over the top
you're easy so over the top
you'd be like Jerry why did you get me a fucking car
or it would be like something so small
I'd be like dude you got me a box of raise it
like plums you sent me plums
oh that's why we're texting
that's why I would just say Annie what was the best gift
that you ever received
One that just, one, Jerry talked about his mom getting a starter jacket, which was an awesome story.
I don't know if you heard that story, but it's awesome and she saved that money for it.
We kind of talked about like, you know, like the Nintendo 64 was like for us.
I don't know if you played the, I mean, you're a lot younger than us, but it was like, it was like that big, like.
The Wii, the Wii was big.
The Wii, yeah.
What was your, do you have one that just sticks out?
Maybe when you were even a little kid, like, man, that one was meaningful or.
just something you use all the time?
My parents always like to do surprises.
So they'd get through all the presents.
And my mom would say every year, she'd be like,
this is going to be a smaller Christmas.
Like, you know, just a few presents.
And she'd be right.
But then there'd always be like a big one at the end.
But it wouldn't happen every year.
So it was like a guessing game.
So this one year, we wanted to go to Disney so badly.
And my, because Disney's so great with Johnny and my brother,
like they're super accommodating.
So that was always our family trip.
And we hadn't been for a couple years and we kept wanting to go.
I think my dad had switched jobs or something.
So we just weren't planning on this Disney trip at all.
And my mom had like hinted at it before.
But then she totally squashed anything about any Disney trip.
Like it just wasn't going to happen.
So we get through presents and it was a smaller Christmas and we're like, okay, maybe like this Disney trip is happening.
And so we're all sitting at the end of opening gifts, like waiting for it to happen.
Mom's like, okay, let's go have breakfast.
So then we decided out it's just not this year.
We're just not going to go.
So we go up to breakfast and my mom brings out like a little package.
This was like hours later.
And it ended up being a balloon.
I don't remember.
I was younger.
But it was a balloon, but it had Mickey Mouse on it, like really small.
And so we're looking at this balloon.
And then there was like a little Mickey in the corner.
And then she brought out like Mickey in many years.
And she's like, we're going to do you.
It was so fun.
That's amazing.
And that was like those trips because that present then got us through the winter months.
And then we looked forward to the trip.
It was so much fun.
You know what I respect about that too?
It wasn't like, hey, kids Santa's sending us.
to Disney. It's like, no, mom and dad are getting the credit for this one because we're
paying for it and we're taking you. This is not Santa who's bringing you this gift. Jerry, question
for you. I've just, I just got all these questions now because... He's in the Christmas spirit.
Yeah, I mean, I, Christmas gifts. Yes. Do, do every, does every gift that comes from you and
Bree to the kids, is that come from you or is every gift from Santa? I think in the past,
it's been all from Santa until I had to step in this year, in fact,
when we were like talking about some of the things we were getting them.
And also, my wife, Bree had one year, Annie, like, I guess it was like three years ago when my kids were like three.
This woman went so far overboard for little kid Christmases that like stuff I wasn't even aware of.
I said, this cannot go on.
First of all, the precedent was, I'm like, this is 10 of my Christmases rolled up into one.
So now we scale it way, way back.
But I'm like, we have to pick a thing that has to be from us.
It just has to be.
That's how I am too.
Very specific.
And you would not believe.
That makes a stand of a good guy the whole time and not you guys.
Do you know what my six-year-old put on top of his list?
This is amazing and also worries me a little.
And this is the one that's from us.
A autographed poster for his room of Carl Anthony Town.
Carl Anthony Towne
What's wrong with that?
I just like, not even Jamie Brunson.
You don't even go like this star.
He almost wanted an OG and an Obie one
had to talk him out of it.
I'm like, I don't know if that dude
was going to be on the team in two years.
So that's from mom and dad,
the Carl Anthony Towns autographed
poster of him doing a zesty pass.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's the Caleb Williams.
Yeah, that wouldn't be on my top 200 posters.
I'd want the NBA, but it's okay.
That's awesome, dude.
I'm with you, too.
Yeah, all of ours come from Santa.
I'm like, so like the Nike dunks that I just got canon,
they can't be from dad.
The elf makes some dunks.
Yeah.
You know, I give my parents so much credit because I would be so mad.
I'd be like, I spent all this time buying presents,
and I don't get a thank you.
Come on.
So two last things before we begin.
Number one, Annie, if you need another family game,
I don't know how big your family is.
My wife's family's family's pretty big.
I host a family feud.
We got the cards and I turn into Steve Harvey.
That with a few drinks and some drunk old aunts and uncles is friggin' hilarious.
We have done a version of that before.
Family feud.
But the host has to really give it up.
Whoever's being to Steve Harvey has to have energy.
Like, give me Bree, give me Lauren.
Let's go.
Like bring them up.
Can you buy a game?
Is there a game?
Family feud?
They sell cards, like they sell like the questions, you know, the answers.
That's a good idea.
That's a really good idea.
And my last thought before we go into some trivia is you've shown some family competitiveness.
And being that Matt is beating the brakes off me in trivia, in Twisted T trivia, so badly.
And he's getting very, like, he's already over and he knows he's good.
You might in 2026, we might have to flip this because I'm out.
Like, if this were the NFL, I'd be looking forward to the draft.
I've been scouts out.
I'm scouting quarterbacks right now
while Matt's trying to get healthy
for a deep playoff run.
So you might have to be the other playoff team
that Matt runs into because it can't be so fun.
Listen, I'll go one-on-one versus Annie.
Might have to do it.
It's a lot more fun I'll tell you to do trivia
when you know the answers.
That's what family, that's what being the host
of Family Feud is so fun.
You know the answers and you're watching
your drunk uncle stumble through a question.
In my family, the drunk uncle's me, but, you know, I'm kind of play.
Okay.
Should we get to some twisted trivia?
Yes.
Okay.
Matt has...
We have Christmas-themed trivia.
I'm so excited for this one.
Christmas-themed trivia.
What does that mean?
Sports?
No, it's all just...
Mostly Christmas movies.
Oh, okay.
This is not sport-related.
No.
Okay.
No.
All right.
This is your real house, Jerry.
Come on, buddy.
We've got to see.
Question number one.
How many reindeer?
does Santa Claus have if you have to sing the song?
Wait, now, I can't even sing.
Nine.
Yes.
Wow, good math.
Quick math.
Can you name them all?
I could, yeah, but let's keep it rolling.
Let's keep it rolling.
Okay, number two.
What is the city that the Grinch overlooks?
Whoville.
Yep.
Wow.
Someone's putting in their Christmas time with the kids.
I would have got that.
was a little slow on that, but yeah, we just watched that.
Okay, question number three.
What makes Frosty the Snowman come alive?
Christmas magic.
Nope, good guess, though.
I technically, but it's not, but it's a specific thing.
Give me my hint, please.
It's an article of clothing.
Oh, scarf.
Nope.
His hat.
His hat.
The magic is in the hat.
I honestly forgot about that because it's, yeah, it's just like the hot.
There's a quick three spot that dropped on them.
You didn't get that right.
You didn't get that right.
I don't get another guess when you get it wrong.
Oh, it's the hat.
What?
How many times does Matt guess, then I guess?
But you're going to take that.
I thought he got a point for that.
We'll leave that.
In the past, every single time the person's gotten a point for that.
Yeah, you're fine.
It's fine.
I mean, listen, dude, at this point's charity case.
So it doesn't matter.
It's not.
I mean, it's just the way we've always done it.
No, it's fine.
You know, this is actually so fitting
because the Giants win meaningless games, Jerry.
We're creeping closer to Annie putting me
in one of her videos, which is my secret objective
is getting in one of her videos.
By the way, that's when you know you've made it if you ever get in the
video. I'm like, Annie, we're honored.
Forever in the same city, you know,
I am an actor.
Absolutely. I could play Joe Shane or something for you.
Yeah. Yeah, that would be hilarious.
Maybe that'll finally get him fired.
Yeah. I'm okay. Two pictures.
Name these.
This actor, the first one.
Oh, man.
Billy Bob Thornton.
Yeah.
Yes.
That is correct.
Can I picture number two?
Tim Allen.
Wow.
Jerry.
Skunking him, bro.
Full sweet.
This is well done.
By the way, I intentionally didn't say anything on those last two.
Just letting you know.
You would have beat me.
You would have beat me, but I didn't say it.
You had no idea.
Tim Allen and Santa Claus, and that's bad Santa with Billy Bob Thornton.
So this is going to be a thing where when I do win now, Matt,
you're going to say, I let you win.
No, I didn't let you win this one.
And you know what has not happened one time
since we were doing Twisted Trivia, Annie?
What's that?
Shut out.
A clean, as the kids say, B, T, A.
That was a B, T, A belt to ass.
I've never seen someone who's getting their ass kicks so much,
be so excited about winning one question.
Now it's 12, 4 and 1.
Now it's 12, 4 and 1.
that helps with the overall lead to and that's like that that's like that the chargers player
when they were getting killed by 63 to the Raiders and he did the first down thing that was
crazy amazing well thank you very much Annie seriously in 2026 I think you got that we have to
do uh I will do it reverse I would be I think we should and start the standings over uh Merry
Christmas what are uh yeah put you on what are you looking forward to most in 2026 Annie
Ooh.
Well, hopefully Green Bay season will still be going on then.
Hopefully a Green Bay Super,
a Green Bay Packer's Super Bowl.
I would hope so.
I don't know if it's possible now, but that's what I'm hoping for.
It's still possible.
It's just so close.
Like, when your team is that close, oh, it's just hard not to think about Super Bowl.
That's where I am.
That's where my, I'm not, nothing personal.
Nope, just the Green Bit Packers wins.
Nothing personal.
Good.
We got to get Matt, Matt, like, if you had to root for an NFL team,
If someone came to you and was like, listen, or you just had this conversation this week.
You got to pick someone.
Like, me with college football.
We have to, like, who would you realistically be okay with rooting for?
It's got to be the Rams or the Chargers because the local team.
But you said you enjoyed your time with Houston.
Because my kids are getting into it, that's why.
Because they're like the home chargers and like case and played on the football Chargers team.
I was going to ask who your kids were.
Yeah.
They will listen.
It's like you.
They will listen to whatever I say.
So if I'm like, hey, we're rooting for the Texas.
They're going to love the Texans at this age.
But I just don't, I don't, I don't care.
I don't really care that much.
Like, I, like, I love the Rams.
Harbaas, like, lives here.
I see, like, they're all, like, I don't know.
I just feel like it's, um.
I feel like you're going to end up a Chargers if you had to pick.
I feel like of the L.A. teams, it would be the Chargers.
They can use the Rams.
Hold on.
I have a special guest.
Special guest.
Let's go.
My wife.
Oh, my God.
Oh, gosh. Hi.
Great. Hold on. I want you guys to ask her, I want, real quick, sit on my lap. I'm like Santa.
About the gifts, the wrapping the gifts.
Yeah.
Everyone is from Santa, but we all agree that at least one should be from mom and dad.
No.
Hi, Josie.
You don't want to thank you at all. You just have the kids. It's all from Santa.
Yes.
That's Annie, by the way. You guys have never met.
Of course I know, Annie.
Yeah, we have. We've met. That's so rude.
Yeah. Well, okay, so two things that I grew up with. I grew up. No presents from parents. It was all from Santa. So for us, Santa was like, oh, Matt's telling me not to talk to.
Well, the kids are probably. The kids are.
Okay. So it was always from the man in the chimney.
Yeah. So we thought he was, I mean, just the greatest thing ever of all time. And then the second thing,
was that none of our gifts from Santa, which were all the gifts, were never wrapped.
So I have compromised on...
Terrible.
No, well, because everything was displayed.
What's the thought process behind that?
Because everything was displayed.
So, for example, if I asked for a dollhouse, like, how sucky is it to open a box and
you're like, well, okay, I can't play with this.
I would put a dollhouse together, yeah.
But how magical to come downstairs and, like, all of a sudden, there's like a dollhouse
or for, you know, our boys, Jerry.
it's like race car track is like ready to go and like you know the kitchen when they were two
the kitchen was all set and like ready to play with um that's interesting yeah so i've compromised
in that some gifts that are not displayable we wrap those and then the displayable gifts we don't wrap
we build and we make and blah blah blah which speaking of which he's done none of yet you have a lot
come on matt i know christmas for parents is no uh it's no walk in the park you guys put in work
I am exhausted.
And like the week hasn't even begun.
And I am exhausted.
That's why, see, I told you, drunk uncle, I just sit around and drink mimosas all day.
But Josie, let me ask you one thing.
Wait, Jerry's asking me a question.
One quick thing, and I'll let you go.
I have volunteered because, like, I only, I weigh in on, like, of course, like what the boys want,
especially when it's sports related.
But Brie pretty much takes everything on.
And she had very magical Christmases as well.
Like her dad used to video on a giant can.
Ham quarter, hours of present, all that.
I did not have magical Christmases.
My mom stopped putting up a Christmas tree when I was like 11.
My question for you, I volunteered to like, hey, do you want me to wrap some stuff?
I'm not a great rapper, I'm just going to say.
Or do you want me to get that thing for your mom, even like a gift?
And it's just a hard, no, like stay out of the way.
But then in the same breath, I get a little of the how light my plate is during Christmas,
even though I offered to pull my weight.
So I don't really know how to navigate that
with an eight and a half month pregnant woman right now.
Because I've offered to take stuff off her plate
and she said no, but then I have to hear about the fact
that I am not really doing a whole lot this year.
So what's the question, Jerry?
What is a guy to do?
What do I do?
Do I just stay out of the way and let her complain
or do I take initiative and go wrap a gift?
Don't take initiative.
I think that you should just make your asks
very clear. And you always start being sympathetic of where she is. Bree, you are pregnant. You are
doing the most. My goodness, we are the luckiest to have you. And you are all the things. Mr. Claus,
Mrs. Claus, the elves. Like, we couldn't ask for better. Is there something that I can do
for you to make your plate a little lighter this time of year? I need Josie to be my therapist.
That's the best Christmas gift I've gotten.
That was great advice. And then get her a day.
at the spot. Okay, love you guys.
Bye.
I would have given the worst advice.
That was great advice.
Matt, you start putting stuff together for that moment.
I was about to say, I feel like that was a shot at me.
You let her get the Christmas that she deserves along with your beautiful family.
All right.
Well, Annie, enjoy.
Everyone enjoy out there.
We will be back with the New Year's kind of, you know, 2026 episode week following.
But stay safe out there.
and Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas.
