I played it. And I think I played it for 100 hours the first month. I mean, it was like nonstop because you would uncover and discover things. It's not here. Guys, listen, Star Doe Valley isn't just a simulation game. It's much more, and that's why it's unique, okay?

It's an RPG. I think it's an RPG, okay? So, and it was so, when I played it, I go, it would make me, like, put goosebumps on my body because I would go, oh, wow, that was so, like, he thought of that. You know what I mean? It's a game that's completely thought through.

I was molested. And then, and a lot of dark things happen growing up, okay? And so when I play Stardue, it's like, and watch Great British Bake-off, that's what I feel like my home should have felt like. Wow. You know what I mean? Where it's like warm and there's trust, you know what I mean? What I also like Star Do is like, you know, Emily's going to be there.

You know what I mean? You know, you know where she's going to be at. You know what I mean? You know that, you know, on Friday night, Sam and Sebastian are going to be playing pool at the bar. at Gus's Tavern. Right. Right. And so you can rely on these characters that you love, right?

You know that your kids are going to be there and your wife is going to give you a gift. And I also know what I'm going to give her. You know what I mean? And it gives me a sense of, it soothes me. Stability. Yeah, my trauma. It soothes my trauma. And that's why games like this is so fucking important because I think a lot of people, I've talked to a lot of people that play Stardue.

And they use it as a tool as a therapy. It really is a Masterful done game I feel like if you're not playing it And I feel like a lot of people Listen to this are going to play it now And I think it does more You know I mean I think certain TV shows and movies do more

Than just you know Added entertainment I think it It's therapeutic almost in a weird way And I think that that's who If I ever have a family That's how I want it to feel like You know I mean

Safe Right You're a man? Yeah. I mean, the thing is, like, you know, when I made Sreddy Valley, I wasn't ever thinking I'm making a therapy game. Yeah, I know. I was just making a game that I thought would be fun.

Yeah. And then it just happened to have this special effect. Yeah, yeah. And a lot of people have said this to me, but I think it's great. I think, yeah, it's like some people, when I'm on the road, they go, hey, dude, you got me sober. Why? Because I mentioned I'm in sober.

Like, my intended thing wasn't to say to get people sober. I just sharing my experience, strength, and hope. with people, right? And then people just, you know, get sober from it. So it's not an intended thing, but it does help people, you know, and I think that's what's incredible about your art form, you know what I mean, is that it reaches areas of society that I can't even reach, you know what I mean? So it's, I think it's a really cool thing that you did, dude.

And I think, I mean, in terms of video game folklore, you're up there with, like, Bethesda and, you know what I mean? You really are, dude. Like Todd Howard is his name? Todd Howard. Yeah, from Bethesda. And you're really fucking important, you know, to the genre.

Because you would throw out like little examples out there or no. Is that what happened or no? I had a website with like blog updates. Blog updates, right? Deb updates, yeah. People were excited watching it because it's also very like the way it's, the format of it is very cute and, you know, endearing service level. But I always say to people, I go, you never live in the results, okay, and you just do.

So I just love doing stand-up. I didn't know what's going to take me to L.A. and all these other things, right? it just happened to but it's like you gotta walk through the fear of it and commit to it because it's like you spent four years locked in a fucking bedroom or whatever an office and you just did it because of the love of it right

and I encourage everyone just to do it because you just don't know man you never know and then when that it hit you know that wasn't the intended dream I don't think that you were going to be like an industry like you know I mean pioneer no Yeah.

But see, that's what, yeah, I say that too. Because like, even if you, even if I worked for four years and the game was a flop, I would have learned so much. I would have grown as a person. And I would have had the dignity of, like, I had finished a project. And I feel like that is important, too. And that can, you know, if you keep that going, eventually, you know, you're really increasing your chances of something happening. Yeah. Yeah.

But it was kind of like the practice that led up to being able to make Stardy Valley.
