No.
Okay.
Sorry.
What?
That's funny.
Oh, oh, you think that's,
You're your fame with comics
Unleash. I am no fame.
Don't you stop me.
Agenda at the mall.
No, no. No, no.
You look to the mall too, fucker.
Because of comics on league.
Tagabilly is now on Spotify.
We got video. We got audio.
We got mind templates.
Ooh.
I like that.
Guys, go check out Tiger Belly on Spotify.
Nice to meet you.
I'm Luke.
What's up, man, Dave?
You don't have to meet them, though.
You don't have to be that.
Okay, hi.
It's a good thing.
I say hi to the health.
I like how Bobby stopped it immediately.
He did come in, though.
And he did a double-hand.
He did what it means.
Yeah, dude, that's fucking respectful, dude.
Double-hand.
Yeah, it's a surrender.
That's how I surrender.
Were you in a black car behind me?
I think so.
I didn't want to block you in, though, so I parked on the street.
No, I just want to say Bobby once upon a time had that exact car,
and he lasted one month before he totaled it.
Oh, interesting.
Audi, Audi S5?
Yeah, I still have it.
And that's being very rude.
I was very rude.
Listen.
Isn't it a junkyard?
No, it's not a junkyard.
What's your version of the trashing of the car?
Honestly, I'm not too sure.
You never know with Bobby.
There's always some weird incident, and he's giving you a house.
story. Okay. But he's claiming he still has it?
He says he got... What if I'm claiming I have it, Dave?
There's clearly... Very different story.
Where is it? In a garage.
Who's garage?
Because I'm European when I say certain words.
A garage. A garage.
Oh, it's interesting. Yeah, so I have a garage.
Yeah. You know, it's the same place where I have all my toys.
What are toys?
I have vintage toys. I used to collect. Do you remember that?
Wait, this is the storage facility.
I got for you.
It's not a garage.
Real quick.
Real quick.
Did you ever total this car?
Yes, I did.
Oh, you did?
Yes, I did.
But now you still...
I fixed it.
Everything is 100% fixed.
Yeah.
Mad it still?
I'm just not sure
it's in the same place
as your vintage toys and shoes.
I know where those are.
Whatever.
Okay.
Yeah, whatever.
You know,
here's the main thing I want to say
is that Dave Franco and I
have the same taste.
There we go.
There we go.
And that's where, you know,
you try to take
away from us.
Don't take that away from us.
I brought it up.
I never did that away from us.
It's the opposite.
You guys have something to relate to.
I was like, hey, same car.
It's an instinctual, intuitive, like we're cool kind of thing.
Yeah.
No, it's a cool car.
I like what you're saying about me without actually saying it about me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're cool as fuck, dude.
And is it matted, too?
Is it matted?
No, I think mine's just very dirty.
Oh, okay.
Of course, man.
Which is even cooler than it.
It's cooler than madden.
You got a nice car, but you keep it dirty.
You keep it dirty.
Is the inside dirty?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Interesting.
And your wife, Allison, does she like it or no?
The car itself?
No, the inside of the car.
No.
Every time she comes in, it's just the bottle situation in the passenger seat where speed are.
You gotta have the bottles.
Yeah, it's just like, I don't have a lot of people in my car.
I'm not a messy person, but, like, in my own space, I guess I don't mind it.
You know, I'm the same way.
If you look at my car, there's some sporadic bottles.
Sparatic.
There's a lot.
There's a lot.
What do you mean?
There's like cigarette packs everywhere and some.
Oh, that's interesting.
Well, but even me coming in here.
I'll tell you what that's interesting.
Dave, I'm going to say why that's interesting.
And why that's intrusive, okay, Dave, I'm so sorry.
We're going to get into it.
I'm going to tell why that is because he's the lot guy at the comedy store.
I parked that car.
So he parks all the comedians' cars, right?
And that's private information.
I'm sorry, what? You're disclosing it right now.
You are disclosing it.
What?
I never would have brought it up.
My acne patch?
Oh, yeah.
It's starting to come down.
Well, that's another rude thing you just know.
We got to let Bobby be Bobby.
I genuinely thought it was like a giant booger.
I was like, oh, I got a laugh.
I'm so sorry.
It's okay.
It was like covering the hole.
It was covering the nostril.
I'm so sorry.
It's okay.
Well, yeah, I'm breaking out.
I apologize.
No, I apologize.
To the fans out there, I apologize.
No, it's me.
Let's go back to our guest, please.
Yeah, quick.
Yeah, let's get it.
Dave Ray Franco run of a lot.
Great actor.
Real quick, going back to keeping your
own space. I love it.
When I came in here just now, five minutes ago,
I asked where the bathroom was, you walked me there
because you wanted to make sure it was clean. What did you think
was going to be in there? Oh,
well, we have all these
people using. Oh, okay.
We're putting it on everyone else.
We have a bulldog. Let me just say,
we have a bulldog here. I just want
to say this. My ups and
there's two bathrooms have been refurnished furnished furnished forbished refurbished
refurbished yeah keep on keep on Luke what's the word I mean unless there's furniture in there I think
it's refurbished right there we go thank you and sometimes I say the wrong words that's okay
okay I apologize you didn't draw it to the bottom oh we got yeah yeah so the the bathroom downstairs
which I should get refurbished right because gas use it I think that's the next thing I
Yeah.
Yeah.
But yeah, so I apologize.
Not at all.
It was lovely.
Great experience.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, it worked.
Everything worked.
Absolutely.
There was a little bit of toilet paper left.
Just enough.
We got to restock that.
Okay.
We have guests like day.
All right.
So anyway, welcome to the show.
And I wanted to ask Luke this question.
Okay.
Because how old are you?
Can I ask or no?
Can you guess?
Ooh.
Ooh.
It goes, I know your brothers.
So, um.
You know both brothers?
No, only one.
Oh, okay.
You said brothers.
But I know of him.
I know of him.
Okay, okay.
You do.
How do you know Tom?
Of Tom.
I've seen him in things.
What have you seen him in?
He's not like an actor.
Come on, bro.
Are you lying?
Are you lying?
I googled it.
This is like, I'm not trying to believe you.
He's an artist?
Yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Are you guessing?
No, this is like.
I'm not guessing.
He's an artist.
He's a beautiful artist.
Genuine curiosity, though.
Did you just come across
some of his like sculptures or painting?
Yes, I have.
Okay.
I have.
But I thought he did film as well.
All right.
So, um, oh, this is what it's going to be a war.
I like war?
No, um, so, um, what was I saying?
Okay, you know what my brother's age?
So age wise, you're the youngest.
Yes.
Yes.
37.
What do you guys got?
The way you respond.
41.
Yeah, I'm going to say 41 just to match my age.
I know the answer.
Okay.
You look very young, but it's got to be 40.
Just turned 41.
There it is.
On the dot.
84.
85.
Yeah, yeah.
There's Tom.
You look young as well.
How handsome is Tom?
Tom is handsome.
Yeah, Tom's cool.
Yeah.
Tom is five years older.
James is seven years older.
Oh, so James is the oldest.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, so your generation's...
Millennial?
You're a millennial.
Yes.
So, and your Gen X, X, Z.
Your Gen Z.
25.
Okay.
You're Gen Z.
There's a theory that the 85, 85, 86 babies are the coolest millennials.
Oh, go on.
That's all I know about it.
That's enough.
I was asking this kiddo here, name me 10 X-Men.
Oh.
Not the actors, but the characters.
Can you do it?
Oh, can you do 10?
No.
But let's try.
Magneto.
Bingo.
Storm.
We got Cyclops.
Yes.
Is Hulkanax?
No.
No, no, no.
I didn't.
I didn't.
Yeah, you didn't say that.
It's, we got...
Can I give you some of your hands?
Yeah, yeah, please.
Okay, so there's a guy that's in a wheelchair.
Yes, that is Professor X.
Yes, four.
I'm going to give him that one.
Yeah, right.
Redhead girl with a blonde in the front.
We're not going to get that.
She's not red-headed either.
She is, right?
When she goes, Rogue?
Rogue is not red-haired.
Roos.
She's Bruteneh with a white stripe.
I think she has a- well, depends what you're.
That's Jean-Gray.
No, that's not Jean-Gree.
I'm not confusing the both.
Oh, oh, Beast. Beast.
Beast is five, five.
Five.
Oh, the blue, blue girl.
Is there a blue girl?
Yes.
Miss.
Miss.
Missy.
Yes.
Missy.
Six.
That's good.
Six.
Okay.
All we need is four more.
So I'm going to give you some.
There's a guy that turns into complete steel.
Nope.
That's a tough one.
That's a tough one.
It's kind of a side one.
No, no, no, no.
Am I missing any of the main ones?
No, yeah, you are.
There's a Canadian.
A big Canadian actor.
No, he's small, actually.
Small in the comics.
He's a small dude.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
That's his name.
Wolverine.
Wolverine.
Wolverine.
Oh, oh, oh, it's not it.
So at seven, let's go three.
There's one that is purple as well that disappears and reappeared.
Oh, oh, okay.
Yeah.
Shadow.
Not too far off.
Oh, okay.
I'm going to give you the first and then you...
Yes, go, go, go.
Give me it.
Night.
Rider.
No.
Nighthawk.
No.
This is to look.
The night crawler.
No, no, no.
Richard Ramirez.
Richard Ramirez.
Oh, Night stalker.
Yeah.
That's eight.
Okay.
We both got it wrong.
It's night crawler.
It is night crawler.
I was like, wait, am I wrong?
I'm Gen X.
You're Gen X.
We get confused.
We get confused.
Wait, wait, real quick, were you asking him this question?
Because did you not know any of them?
He knew three.
Three, okay.
He knew laser eyes.
Because X-Men's not big for your age?
I don't know if it's a generational thing or maybe I'm just too dope to know stupid shit.
No, no, I'm just kidding.
But I...
So cocky, dude.
I just don't, I don't know.
That kind of missed me somehow.
Like, was X-Men, like, were you watching a show?
There were shows.
There was movies.
It was a little bit of everything.
I don't know if it was, like, comics.
Yeah, also comics.
There was a cartoon show.
Okay, yeah, that's what I'm curious.
How'd you forget Deadpool?
Is that a, he's not really an X-Men, though.
But he is.
He's not in the movies.
What about Sabretooth?
Sabretooth, yes.
Wolverine's brother, you have nine.
Bill, can you get Steve, Deadpool is an X-Men?
Was there a guy who threw cards?
Oh, yeah, yeah, Gambit.
Gambit!
Gambit! You got the tan, dude.
That was really good.
Yeah.
So that's 10, you got two.
I got an assistant.
I got assisted on about seven of those.
Oh, you got an assistant.
When you say that's a card thing.
Yeah.
He's from Louisiana.
I can see Theo playing Gambit.
Not Channing, Tain him.
Oh, yeah, Channing, Tain him, man.
Break it.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
What?
Yeah, we want to give it to, give it up for Channing.
Yeah.
Yeah, Channing, man.
Yeah, Channing was good in them.
Yeah.
Do you love X-Men?
Oh, right.
Here's my thing with Super.
Here's my thing with what's over why I said I know I'm not attacking you this is like a curiosity you'll realize is this feels like a war it's more just curiosity
I'm a very curious warlock but it seems curious I'm just like why did we bring this up in the first
Why yeah yeah because I think it's important
Okay you know cultured because it's important to you you love X message
No no no I think it's important culturally okay
You sell me on that yeah I'm you're not sold
Are you massive into comic books?
No, I'm massive into this.
It's here's the deal.
I have a girlfriend.
Her and I dated for 10 years.
We don't have to see.
You can just say you have a girlfriend.
Wait, wait, can we pause?
How long ago did you guys end the relationship?
Four years ago.
And were you guys working together from the beginning?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
And was there a period when you guys broke up where it was a tough transition where it was like we're not together but we're still working together?
No.
No.
No.
Why?
How?
I love him so much.
I love her too.
Was it a very mutual breakup?
No.
Oh.
Voice crack.
No, but you know, I'm friends with all my ex-girlfriend.
Is that true?
Yes.
That's amazing.
Why?
I think it says something about you.
I mean, you develop a friendship as well, you know what I mean?
Of course, but like that's a rare thing.
You have sexual intercourse, but then there's a, you mean, but you remove that, there's still the friendship.
But I think it's a rare thing.
Ten years and seven animals together.
There was no getting away from each other.
It's a kids.
You guys.
still had a couple animals you were sharing.
Seven.
Oh, seven when you broke up.
Yeah.
And still seven now.
Okay.
Yeah.
Until we have six now.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's not talk about that.
Okay.
I'm going to sell it to you culturally.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
So I have a new girlfriend.
Okay.
And she doesn't know anything about anything.
So it's like, that's nothing against her.
But it's like, you know, you ask her, have you ever heard of Braveheart?
Oh, got it.
Right.
Yeah.
And she's like, never heard of it.
Sure.
You know, Red Dead.
not right done
Shashank
Shashank Redemption
Yeah yeah yeah
I don't know what that is
Have you been introducing
her to some of this stuff
Yeah I've been trying to
We're starting with new stuff
What have you introduced her to
That she really loved
Oh what I
Oh god so much
I introduced her to
Well
Things like Kingdom
It's a Korean show
Penguin
The TV show
She loved that
Yeah absolutely
I loved it
What a great show
Incredible
You see it?
Okay that's okay
That's okay
It's not okay.
It's okay.
Look, look forward to you.
He puts it on the list now.
That's my list.
All right.
Keep it positive.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But you've seen all that.
I've seen the Penguin show.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's great.
Yeah.
I think that, so yesterday I was at the mall.
Oh, wow.
No, two days ago.
What do you mean?
I go to the mall all the time.
I didn't know that.
Oh, he's a big mall guy.
I'm a mall guy 100%.
Yeah.
What's your agenda when you're at the mall?
Many things.
I know.
Okay.
Yeah.
What?
What?
I didn't say anything.
You said, I know.
What do you think his agenda is?
I think that it changes over the years.
In the very beginning, the mall was sort of like this strut to be recognized.
No.
Oh.
Wait, this is out of your own mouth.
In your defense, it was early on and it was just like, let me just see what the star meter.
Where's the star meter?
That's what I said.
There was a moment of it a long time ago.
Yeah.
We're acknowledging it happens.
We've grown.
We've grown.
By the way, I love.
this story because I feel like everyone
probably does it, but no one
has ever wants to admit to it. And when you're
just starting off in the business, that was such
a funny story. Bobby, did it work?
Did it work? No. Okay.
Sorry, what?
That's funny.
Oh, you think that you're
your fame with comics Unleash? I have no
fame. Don't you stop.
Okay. Agenda at the mall.
No, no. No, no. You look to the mall too,
fucker. Because of comics Unlead.
I should say now he's just...
And we can play your comics at least if you want.
I did not.
Do not play.
All right?
Because let me say, I didn't see it.
No, from just based on the visuals, right?
No, Buono.
Hey, hey, hey.
No Buena, fuck you.
Sorry, sorry.
All right.
So we started with Braveheart.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Okay, okay.
Sorry, sorry.
We're at the mall.
We're at the mall.
Yeah.
hearing people talk about built for a while now.
Yeah. And my first reaction was, why didn't they exist sooner? Because I was a young man. I was
paying rent. Yeah, you were. Becoming a built member means earning points on every housing
payment, rent, mortgage. It doesn't even matter, baby. You're paying it anyway. So you should
get to getting something back for it. Built points can be redeeming for flights, hotels, lift
rides, Amazon.com purchases, future housing payments, and more. Personally, I use them for
For what, cat?
For anything like lift rides down there.
I do Amazon.com.
You do Amazon?
Yeah.
Dang.
I use parking with Metropolis.
Okay.
And, okay.
I mean, they also have, like, international companies like SoulCycle, Berries, Pure Bear, Core Power, Cycle Bar, Rumble, Y2, et cetera, et cetera.

I just farted I'm so sorry

We're feeling comfortable with each other
You're like deeply inhaled you're like
Yeah, I farted
Because I wouldn't care
For Christa was here I'd fart all there
But I don't
Bobby, yeah
I'd be offended if you didn't
Okay, thank you, Dave.
Thank you, Dave.
Yeah, yeah.
So, in the beginning, I got on a show,
and I was like, the only place that I would get recognized
is West Covina Mall.
Oh, interesting.
Hell, yeah.
Because a lot of Mexicans.
Shout out.
Okay, okay.
And a lot of Mexicans watched the show I was on Mad TV.
Yes, okay, got you.
Right?
So it's like, you know, a couple of cast members,
not just me, would hang out at the food court.
So cool.
Yeah, because, you know, on the streets,
we would not get recognized.
Got it.
Right?
And then, you know, every once in a little go,
Hey.
You know?
What's up, dude?
You know what I mean?
Yeah, you want to throw these other cast members under the bus?
No, no, no, no, no.
With you?
Okay, okay.
No.
But I think that everyone has that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it's sad to admit, but I don't do that anymore.
Right.
No, you're just a shopper now.
Yeah, so what do we shop?
That's what I was getting to.
Not because of ego.
Yeah, yeah.
That was insane.
What do you shopping for?
Ask her.
Go ahead.
What do you think I'm shopping for now?
He loves his golden goosees.
Although golden goosees don't usually have store friends.
Shoes.
Ah.
The Taylor Swift shoes, yeah.
I have Golden Goose on now, yeah.
Northsham, I think.
Yeah, yeah.
You know, it's so funny, were you here with Ali Sadiek was here?
Yes.
All right, and what did he say about my shoes?
He looked at the number.
He goes, and he goes, those are, he looked at my number, my feet, and he goes, oh, you got one.
Those are exclusive.
Oh, because what number did you get?
Okay.
So that's in your face.
Guess how we got to talking about the goose shoes from his girlfriend knows nothing.
Give me the, give me the top of us.
Give me the thought process.
Give me the path.
I think you started off with X-Men.
Okay, yes, yes.
Yes.
But, yeah, yeah.
Why do we, and you were like, why are you at the mall now from the girlfriend knows nothing?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't know.
I don't remember.
Okay.
I'm trying to take notes.
Hold on.
Okay.
How did we get there from the girlfriend?
It's a good question.
It's a good question.
Can I go back to girlfriend and knows nothing?
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
This is like Pulp Fiction.
Okay.
We can go back.
Oh, okay.
This is not a linear storyline.
Okay.
Hey, what is she passionate about?
Does she have one thing that she knows a lot about?
Yeah, she knows about witchcraft.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's also, like, super well travel.
Like, she's just not locked into, like, pop culture.
Okay, got it.
Like, living in real life.
Is she teaching you about witch stuff?
Yes.
Okay, what have you learned?
Take your time.
You're about doing something with your hand.
That's a very good question about it.
You know, it's not witchy in the sense of caldrons and, like, you know what I mean?
Is it terrible?
card stuff? It's not even that.
It's more of a positive kind of
a vibe. Yeah. An energy. Manifestation.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Manifestation. It's about like
yeah, but she does some love spells
and think of that nature.
Does it feel like they, has you know a love spell on you?
I think so. And what did you, what do you think?
What was the result of that?
We're together.
We're now dating.
Have you seen the movie obsession?
Yeah, we saw it together.
Okay.
We saw it together.
And did she love that?
Yeah, yeah.
She did.
Yeah, she's like, this is my thing.
Right up my alley.
Yeah, right up my alley.
Yeah.
Which scared the shit out of me.
Sure.
Yeah, yeah, because it's like, but I think I'm under a love spell.
Okay.
How do you feel about that?
What, you know, one doesn't know.
It feels good.
It feels good to be in a spell.
Why not?
Yeah.
I have some names in the freezer that has some names on it.
What do you mean?
Let me say that again.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Yeah.
Yeah, so.
Oh, can I repeat that?
You have some names in the freezer that have some names on it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Walk us through that.
How did we get there from X-Men?
Break it down.
Well, I mean, she's, he's asking the question.
This is my safe space.
A very frankly thing to do.
I'm on this.
You know what I'm on this?
Tom does that a lot.
I don't know him, you know what?
With his artwork.
Great movies, dude.
Yeah, yeah, great movies.
All right.
How did the names end up in there?
All right.
So when you, if somebody's like, you have a resentment towards somebody where there's like a little bit of attention and stuff like that.
And they're like hot, right?
You put your name on a piece of paper.
What do you mean they're hot?
There's like friction going on.
Tension.
You mean resentment.
The energy between you's hot.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
There's a couple people in here that their name is in the face of hot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you put your name, you know what I mean?
George Kimmel in it on a piece.
Put George Kimmel on a fucking piece of paper.
You put it in the freezer, right?
And supposedly it's supposed to, you know what I mean?
Cool you guys down.
Cool it.
Cool it.
Had it worked?
Yeah.
I don't know yet.
Okay.
I don't know yet with him.
But you know what I mean?
But we'll figure that out.
I actually, I'm into that.
I'm into that kind of like spiritual stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Would you ever put a name in a freezer?
No, but I have put in.
That's crazy.
No, no.
My mom writes stuff down, like, just kind of like, I don't know if it's goals or just like things.
Just like putting out good.
energy, we'll write it down and put it in a little box, put it aside, and then revisit that box and be like, oh, yeah, I accomplished that.
Okay, good.
Yeah.
Can we go back to the mall?
Absolutely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Do you go to the mall?
Rarely.
But I want you...
If you were going to go to, which one would you go to?
You live in L.A. right?
I do.
Yeah, so which one would you go to?
The only one I'm even aware of at this point is, what's the one on Los Eanaga?
Beverly Center?
Beverly Center?
That's the only one you're aware of.
I think so.
That's the only one that you're aware of.
Give me the reputation of the Bev Center.
All right.
As a mall goer.
To me, it's a dead zone.
It is a dead zone.
It's a dead zone.
How does that still there?
Westfield Century City is...
Oh, that's a good one.
You've been there?
That's on Santa Monica out there?
Yes.
Yeah, have you been to that one?
Absolutely.
Yeah, that's the one I go to.
Okay.
Yeah, so if you ever want to check me out.
You're trying to revamp the block.
You want to get recognized again?
You know, yeah, pull up to the mall.
Bobby, can I ask you a real question?
Go ahead, Dave.
When you're walking around these days
and you're out of mall
and there's a lot of people around
some might recognize you
are you walking around
with a hat on?
Is your head low?
Are you, is your chin high?
Are you wanting to get recognized?
I'm open-faced.
Open-faced.
Yeah, yeah, I do open-faced.
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You want a conversation?
It's not that, it's just that, you know,
because it's a specific kind of person
that likes me.
Who is that person?
Who is the poster boy?
It's a variety of different.
I don't know.
Who do you think likes him?
It depends what they know him for, but if it's from this podcast, I think they're usually
like pretty cool artists.
Yeah, artsy people.
We like that.
Yeah, yeah.
There was a group of, so I was, there was a hot pot place at Central.
Have you been to hot pot?
Hot pot?
Go on.
Right, you get an interview show, dude.
This is great, dude.
Hot pot go on.
No, no, you're, I'm really.
He's doing this thing.
And the Jedi stuff?
No, no, no.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's, there's no aggression.
I have, I have some two.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I'll try and go right back at you.
Okay, so.
All right.
Hot pot.
Have you heard of Hot Pot?
No.
Heidi Lau.
Oh, what?
Heidi Lau, Century City.
Heidi Lau, I go to that one.
Yeah.
There's robots.
Okay.
Oh.
What kind of robots?
Delivery robots.
Oh.
Yeah.
You'll order something and that's who delivers your food.
Yeah, and they have cat faces.
Now you're speaking.
speaking my language.
Yeah, I'm always spoken your language.
You have.
You have.
I'm acknowledging it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I go there and I'll eat a hot pot and I'll get, what it is is thinly sliced meat, vegetables,
and you boil it in a hot pot.
Okay.
And you can do a four divider, a two divider, or just one big one.
Okay.
But are you going to the mall because this is the best hot pot place?
It's rated number one, I guess, if you Google it, the best hot pot pot.
That's why you're going there.
You're not going to be.
No, dude.
Jeez.
No, fuck you.
Why?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're projecting on me.
I'm sorry.
What did I do?
Nothing.
Nothing.
I'm just feeling I'm being attacked.
Not at all.
You got to change your view on me.
Yeah.
No, no, no, no.
You're projecting something that's coming from me.
That's not.
All right.
It's all positivity.
I'm just going to get to know you.
Okay.
Yeah, get to know me.
Get to know me.
Okay.
You are truly going because the food is the best there.
There's a combination reason why
As of last two weeks I've been going there
Okay, which is?
So I've eaten the hot pot place four times
In the last two weeks
Okay, wow.
Right?
Because I spy on the store in front of,
like across the way from it.
What's going on there?
A line.
Oh, watching the line?
I'm monitoring the line there
to see if I should stand in the line.
This is...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Line four.
You guys are just all accepting that?
I'm so confused.
He's watching a line to see if I should...
Wait, what's the line for?
Al-a-Bubu?
Is that what you're...
Do you know the line is for?
No, Olive Young.
Oh.
What's all of Young?
It's a Korean cosmetic store.
Okay.
But they just opened in the States.
There's two in L.A.
But you've been watching this line for two weeks.
What are you waiting to change to make a decision?
The line going lower.
Oh, you want it to go down?
It hasn't been down yet.
Yeah.
So I got a, I did a life hack on it.
Okay.
Okay.
You still haven't stood in the line though?
I won't stand in the line.
Okay.
But I have a life hack on it.
Yeah.
Because yesterday we drove by the bigger store in Pasadena.
Yes, that's the one.
That opened first.
That's the one that opened first.
And let me tell you, Dave, it's as if the first Lord of the Rings movie came out.
Oh, wow.
The line's that long.
Okay.
This is because Korean products are the best?
Yes.
Okay.
Is this a generally known thing?
Where have you been?
I don't know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
You have nice skin.
Okay, thank you.
I follow, I just like use my wife's kind of her routine.
Yeah, yeah.
She knows.
She knows.
Yeah, she knows about Olive Young too, probably.
I bet she does.
Yeah.
And so the one in Central City, you know, here's a life hack, if you want to know.
Yeah.
You wake up super early, which I did.
Okay.
You're eating hot pot.
It's like kind of.
Yeah, I know.
Early hot pot.
What's super early for you?
Yeah.
What's nine?
Okay.
Wow.
Which is really early.
time you go into bed to wake up at 9?
Midnight.
Okay. Is that typical?
No.
Oh, what's typical?
I just woke up when I greeted you at the door.
Is that true?
Yeah, yeah.
You just rolled out of bed.
10 minutes before.
Wow.
Yeah, yeah, okay.
Yeah, and...
Because you're normally going to bed past midnight.
Oh, I went to bed at 3, 4 in the morning.
What are you doing between midnight and 4 the morning?
Last night, me and my girlfriend, we watched probably five episodes of Body Bazaar.
Oh, love Body Bazaar.
Can we get into that?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
You know what it is?
No.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
It's a show.
We're going all over the place, but yeah, yeah, it's this show.
Oh.
It's just really cool medical cases.
I get it from one picture.
You don't really understand what Bobby is.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, enough said.
Wait, I have a question for Dave.
We're not done with...
We're not done with...
We're not done with...
You're right, you're right, you're right, you're right.
I would just...
Who do you think your fans are?
How would you describe that?
Oh, this is a good question.
Yeah, it's a good question.
Gosh, he's so...
I honestly don't know how to answer that.
Because, you know why?
Because I'm not on social media, so I'm not really interacting with these people a lot.
You don't have an Instagram.
Not on anything.
Yeah, you don't have, yeah.
That's interesting.
Who do you guys think are my fans?
What, you go out in public, right?
Sure.
Do people go, hey, can I have a photo?
Oh, okay.
Younger, or do you feel closer to 40, 50 now that everyone kind of moved with you through your career?
I think there's a mix.
I think I've been able to kind of bounce around to a lot of,
different types of things, whether that genre or like adult versus like some animated,
animated stuff recently. And so I do think there's a mix. I think when I was coming up,
it was like maybe younger girls. But then I think it's transition where I think with like
things like I was in the show, the studio, I think a lot of people in more maybe than anything
I've ever done, people like in the business are coming up to me about that one.
Oh, you just did an animated with my friend Liza, Soberano. Yes.
Yeah.
How do you know Liza?
Well, we're Filipino.
Oh.
So excited about this movie?
Yeah.
It's so good.
It seems so cool.
Okay, so this movie, it's like the...
Is this the one you're promoting?
Sort of.
Sort of.
It's one of the two.
One of the two I'm promoting.
Yes.
Okay, the main one we'll do at the end.
Absolutely.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't like double promotion.
I got it.
But we have to.
Don't you dare double promoting your.
I like that.
I like that rule.
I like the rule.
I like the rule.
I like the rule.
I like the rule.
Because it's my duty as a Filipino to promote
a Filipino project.
Okay, so this movie Forgotten Island, it is the first big budget studio movie that focuses on Filipino culture.
And it's this wild concept where it's like, all right, how do I distill this?
It's two best friends, right?
Two best friends, they've known each other since childhood.
Are those their arms?
That's it.
Yeah.
Good guess, Bobby.
And so we catch them on their final night before one of them is leaving for college in the U.S.
So it's like this kind of bittersweet final night.
What island?
The island that they eventually go to...
Well, yes, we're getting there, Bobby.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay, so on their final night...
He's asking because he's been to the Philippines many times.
Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
You're going to love this movie.
So, final night, bittersweet.
They get sucked into this portal that actually brings them to this mythical island
full of all these, like, all these, like, characters from Filipino lore.
And they realize the only way to get off this island is to give up their memories.
But by giving up their memories, they might forget each other.
It's so touching.
Now, let's go to the lore, okay.
Okay, there's me.
That's me.
That's me.
That's raw with two W's.
What lore is it?
In Filipino history, what lore is this?
You're asking the wrong person.
Do you know?
I'm trying to think of what character this is.
To me, you're a fucking coyote.
Okay.
It's actually a were dog.
So it's like, it's like werewolf but dog style.
Oh, it's close.
I go back and forth between being human and fucking like that.
Now, there's a mythology of an old.
man smoking a cigarette
you mean on a tree
what is he
it's called a capri
a copra
depending what island
you're from
yeah yeah
he travels around
and what's his deal
yeah yeah
Bobby explain
all I know about the mythology
there's as an old man
or a creature
it's a big creature
it's a gigantic creature
who lives in a tree
and he smokes cigarettes
a cigar
and you smell it
you smell that's when you know
that's what he is
oh that's right
yeah yeah that's him
This is a very scary cup for him.
He doesn't quite look like it.
Well, to me, he does.
He's not in this G-rated...
Yeah, yeah.
Well, if he's not in it, I don't like it.
No, no, you're going to love it.
No, I'll tell you why, because he's legendary.
Bobby, yeah, yeah, yeah.
When you see the movie, if you don't like this movie, I'll give you whatever you want.
Compare it to other animation movies and then some I don't like, some I do like.
Okay, this movie actually does have slightly more adult themes.
it's like structurally it's like the hangover
where these girls wake up on this mythical island
and they're like half of their head is shaved
all this crazy
one of them has giant like wings
and they're like what happened last night
and so it's like going back and like figuring out what happened
so we're referencing the hangover
we're referencing super bad about like these friends
who are going off to college
they're moving away from each other dealing with that
you don't seem sold what else can I tell you
I'm sorry no no I'm sorry you've never really
seen Filipino like mytholo
creatures, like, too much.
I've seen some of your cousins.
I'm like,
we told us and mythological all the time.
And trust me, and your friends, and trust me.
Are you a fan of animated movies in general?
I'll tell you the ones I like.
Okay, have you seen Puss and Boots to Last Wish?
That's so good.
Yeah, it's very funny.
Same writers, directors.
All right, now you're convinced me.
Yes, these guys are incredible.
Oh, they have a jeepney in there.
How cute.
You have a gypney. Okay, I'm going to watch this.
It looks beautiful.
It's so beautifully darn it.
And they mix.
It's out in the theaters now.
No.
Not yet.
September 25th.
September 25th.
And they mix the animation.
We do a little anime at some point.
Yeah.
It's like, it's really beautiful done.
It's cool.
That's nice.
Yeah.
I'll do a tit for tat.
Okay.
You watch animation movie.
I was just in.
I'll watch your art.
Okay.
What do you got for me?
I was on Goate.
Goate.
Goat.
Yeah.
That is on the list for me.
Okay.
I'm going to do it.
I promise you.
All right.
I was in goat.
I don't think I'm in the photo?
Who are you?
What are you playing goat?
I'm not in the photo.
Yeah, you're not in the photo.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But, um,
I mean,
I,
I,
I,
I'm being Andrew
prominently.
Now,
we're not.
Are you a dragon?
No,
I play a bat.
Okay.
Did you like how the movie
turned out?
Yeah.
Great.
Yeah,
but I don't know.
It's hard to
because
a lot of the movies
I'm in is awful.
That's,
don't,
don't do that to yourself.
I know,
no,
no, they just are just,
you know what I mean?
Why do you say that?
Because of the rotten tomatoes.
That fuck that, dude.
No.
Oh, no, don't get me started on that shit.
What did together get?
I don't know.
It did well, but like, whatever.
What was a rotten tomato was together?
Give me the raw tomatoes together.
90%.
90%.
Yeah, so I've never been in a 90%.
Listen, listen.
Yeah, so that's good.
Here's the thing.
Don't fucking do that to yourself
based on a rotten tomato score.
Have you ever, let me ask you this.
Have you ever been in something
and you saw it ahead of time
and you were like, I like this movie?
And then it came out and rotten tomatoes gave it a low score?
No.
All right, maybe you are just an only shit.
No, no, no.
No, I've seen things and I went, I've gone, oh, this is good.
Okay.
I have one?
Yeah.
We're in res dogs.
It got good rotten tomatoes.
Yes.
It's like, you loved it.
You were proud of it.
Yeah.
It did it good.
Yeah.
And it's got so many awards.
Yeah.
Here's the thing.
I've been in projects that haven't gotten the best scores.
Like, you can't listen to that shit.
It's like, you go out, you make the project you went out to make.
And sometimes you're like, okay, we made what we achieved.
we tried to achieve people.
Of course, you want people to like it.
You can't control how they feel,
but it's like, I wouldn't have changed anything.
So what can you fucking do?
Well, what can you do as an actor?
There's notes?
Of course.
Right, right, right.
Well, this leads me to what I've been doing
in recent years.
I've been producing a lot more.
And a lot of that, it started
because as you know, as an actor,
you can give so much to a project.
You can kill yourself.
And then you see the final product and you're like,
my performance sucks, whether it's
because of the editing, the music, the way it looks, all the shit that's out of your control.
And so as an actor, I started producing because I was like, I want to get in there on the
edit. I want to be able to help shape my performance. I know we have a better take than that.
Why are you using that take? Yes. And then it grew where I just really started to like every
aspect of just the whole process and I started directing and doing all of it. But anyway, yes,
a big part of it is taking control and making sure that you have your own fingerprints in there.
Yeah. Yeah. Because I've seen takes of myself and went, that's the one you chose.
You can't believe it.
You can't believe it.
Yeah, you know you did better stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Better takes, yeah.
And it's like, I've never thought of it that way of producing my own stuff.
But also, it's beyond just looking at my own performance.
I'm looking at the other actors in the movie.
I want the whole thing to work where I'm like, no, no, no, we can make their performance better.
Choose a better take.
So I'm looking out for everyone.

Their performance better, choose a better take, so I'm looking out for everyone.
Why can't we do this?
Yeah.
And let me ask you something.
Please.
Why can't as an actor we go, hey, can I see that last one?
You can.
You can't.
I can.
I do.
I've asked.
I think I'm so low in the cast.
They're like, no.
You have 10 lines, no.
It depends on the...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, not you.
It depends on the director.
It depends on the director.
I've never been able to do it.
Can I see that last tape?
Because I can look at the take, right?
And I just did something.
I signed at NDA, so I can't say it,
but I just did a show for a streamer, right?
And they, because my friend's the lead,
they were able to go, I was able to go,
can I look at it?
And they go, yeah.
And you could see what you're doing
where you could adjust in the right way.
Yes.
Okay, some people don't like to look
because they just get in their own head
when they're watching themselves on screen,
but I'm like you.
I like to see how it's coming across
select and adjust.
Yes, I want to adjust.
Yeah.
I go, yeah, that's not what I'm, yeah.
You got to, it's case to case, though.
You got to feel it out with the director.
Some directors don't want you watching anything.
Others are like totally open.
Yeah, come back, watch anything.
Yeah.
Well, you're a director.
Do you let, would you let your actors take a look at the thing?
I think so, absolutely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I'm also like, what I've learned just from acting
and then kind of transitioning to more behind the camera stuff
is like when you're an actor,
I want some sort of feedback.
Like, you know, there's so many times where you'll do something
10 different takes and you haven't heard
a single direction from anyone
and you start to get in your head you're like okay
clearly I'm doing something wrong but more often than not
it's like a technical issue. Tell me that
tell me hey you're doing great
we're just fixing the camera over here so when I'm directing
I will come over to the actors after
every single take and let them
most of the time just being like that's great we're just going to try
another to have fun with it or just like hey
technical thing just try another so just letting everyone know
here's where we're at don't get in your head
everything's going great now when you're doing a take
and you see movement okay
somebody doing a lighting thing,
or like they're distracting you in any way.
Do you snap?
Oh, oh, oh.
Christian bail.
I didn't say Christian bail.
I didn't say Christian bail.
I'm just saying I know for a fact that these things happen.
Do you get mad?
I will not get mad.
Yeah.
But if someone's doing something distracting that's in my eye line,
I might say something, but I'll say it in a very kind way.
I'll just be like, hey, I'm so sorry.
Is it okay if we don't do that during this take?
and they go, no, it's not okay.
They'll never say.
Yeah.
As a lighting guy, I would say to you,
no, that's, no, we have to adjust.
That's because you want us to have a combative relationship.
I'm just trying to love you here, Bob.
All right.
Will you get upset when people are in your eyeline or doing something?
Yeah, but I don't think I have the power to do anything.
Have you ever gotten mad about that?
Oh, yeah.
And what do you say?
I don't say anything.
Oh, yeah, I don't say anything.
Stew.
Okay.
I'll stew in it.
You know what?
What I've learned from?
you in the last 10 minutes.
I think you need to speak up for yourself more on set.
On set, go up to the director and be like, hey, no pressure, but I'd love to see that take
because I think I can adjust and give you something better.
Yeah, okay, so I have had this happen, okay?
I'll tell you what I've had, I've had, I've had, I was reoccurring on a TV show.
Name it, shout it out.
Yeah, yeah, no.
Okay.
Yeah, because I will not, yeah, but I was, I did, I don't know, 12 episodes of a procedural
show on a network show. And it was fun to do.
Sure. Right. And there was, you know, people that don't know,
every week the director changes. Oh, right, right. Right. It's tough. It's tough. Right.
And I had this one, right, that was a screamer. Oh. You know,
and he screamed at me all the time. And so I did go up to the producers when he wasn't around.
Yeah. And I said, hey, I know I'm recurring stuff. Like, oh, you know, and I go, but, you know, next time I go.
Yeah. Yeah. I can have this guy.
And they're like, what are you saying?
Yeah, is it the bubbling that I think.
I don't think what you're saying.
And I go, what I'm saying is, okay, I cannot work with this guy.
It freaks me out.
And they go, okay, we'll make sure that he's not the director for any more of the episode.
And was he not?
He was not.
Okay.
There you go.
Well, one of the executive producers was my best friend.
Well, still, you said something to him?
I did say something.
Yeah.
So you do sometimes have to say.
Speak up for yourself.
Yeah.
But sometimes you just trust it
Like they're so good that
You know
Absolutely
But it's rare
It's rare when you're in the hands of someone
Where you're like
Whatever you think I am in your hands
Like lead me right?
Yeah
Yeah
Are there's like certain directors like
Tarantino for instance
Sure absolutely
You just kind of listen to the number
A hundred percent yes
Yeah and you don't ask for
No
No no no
Yeah
If he's moving on you know he's happy
Yes
Yeah right
Because he's a master
Yes
Yes
So there are directors like that.
Let me throw some directors that are like that.
Give it.
Spielberg.
Of course.
Yeah.
You don't say nothing.
What?
Okay.
No, nothing.
Would you say something?
No, no, nothing.
Keep going.
Keep going.
Yeah.
I am curious why you're laughing about it.
Yeah, yeah.
Let me throw some directors on you.
Spielberg.
You're just like, yeah, obviously.
Let me throw someone out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let me give you a tough one.
Scorsesee.
Right, right.
Yeah.
Okay, okay, I get what you're doing.
I see what you're doing.
All right, yeah, these are obvious.
Got it, got it.
These are obvious.
Can I ask you, have you, who's a director that you've acted for that you were like, I'm in your hands, whatever you want?
Okay, so I'm going to tell you this too, right?
What you're doing, uh-huh.
Is you're a crafty fucker.
Okay.
Okay.
And I like it.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
You're crafty and I like it.
Okay.
But you've somehow turned it into.
Bobby, can I tell you something?
No, no.
You somehow turned it into you're the host.
Right?
And I understand what is happening.
And I accept it and I'm fine with it.
I'm just saying I know what you're up to.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's not an intentional, like, manipulative thing.
I know it's not.
It's more that I know everything about me.
I'm bored of me.
I'm curious to get to know you.
Oh, but my fans might not know.
Sure.
Well, you've got to ask me something.
I'm going to, I'm going to.
Before you do.
Before you do.
Before you get.
All right.
How about not?
Your favorite director.
How about not?
Favorite director you worked with?
Oh, shit.
Even commercials, because you had some heavy hitters and commercials.
That counts for sure.
Michael Bay.
Tell me about Michael Pay.
Whatever.
Have you ever heard of?
I don't know.
Tell me.
Michael Bay?
Michael Bay.
Yeah.
I worked with Michael Bay.
You did.
Yeah.
In what project?
A movie called Six Underground.
This movie,
this movie was wild.
I play a getaway driver,
and so I did two days of stunt driving training,
and it was really fun,
and I actually felt pretty good,
but I'm like,
they're never going to let me drive this car for real.
We're shooting in Florence, Italy, tiny narrow streets.
I got Ryan Reynolds in the car next to me.
I'm like, they're never going to let me drive.
Cut to us out in Florence,
I was driving every take,
and I was driving very fast.
So I remember there was a day where we were,
I get out to set,
We're in the middle of the city.
I get behind the wheel and Michael's like,
all right, roll camera.
I go, Michael, what are we shooting?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And he gets the script and he finds a scene and he goes,
what's funnier than that?
What's funnier?
And I'm looking at the scene and he goes,
you'll figure it out.
Roll camera.
So now all of a sudden,
I'm improvising funny lines
while doing donuts next to a world famous museum in Florence
where if I hit something,
I'm literally destroying history.
The pressure.
Sure.
This is, but this is like classic Michael Bitt.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He loves the chaos.
Yeah, yeah, he loves it.
He loves it.
That's what I like about him.
Yeah.
Okay, it's just exciting for you.
Well, we, he's sort of like a Batman villain.
Go, tell me more.
Well, no, not a Batman villain.
He, well, I went to his Thanksgiving.
Oh.
Yeah, we've talked about it before, but I went to Thanksgiving,
and I thought it was going to be a big, a bunch of people were going to be there.
Okay.
And it was just me, his fiance, him, his mom.
How did you get this invite?
I know him.
Right, but clearly do you know him very well enough to get that invite?
It's what happened here.
Tell the story, yeah.
Bobby on this podcast for the last decade, has talked about a specific experience doing a commercial with Michael Bay.
And it isn't a positive story.
Oh, oh.
And I think it finally got back to Michael.
Oh, okay.
Oh, Michael's like, hey, let me make this one.
And then I think that his fiancé is a big fan of Bobby and she's probably like, hey, I heard this, like make it right.
Then I think he made it right with Bobby.
That's not what it is.
He has no idea about that.
He doesn't?
Why do you think you got a guy?
His fiancé is a gigantic fan of mine.
Oh, okay.
Right?
And she's like, bring Bobby.
So she doesn't know that.
He loves me because he's come to the comedy store many times to see me perform.
Has he not like apologized, man?
There's no apology.
They'd be said.
Can I be honest with you?
Can I be honest with you?
Yeah, here it is.
Oh, the thing that I said before was false.
Oh.
I exaggerated it.
About something that he did to you?
Yes.
It was completely made up.
You don't deserve an apology.
I apologize.
Have you apologized?
What I hate about you.
I love this story.
It's so funny.
The light.
Because you don't seem to think
that you're ever going to run into the guy again.
So I tell stories like,
I'm never going to see this guy again, right?
But then all of a sudden life, you know what I mean?
How often are you just fully fabricating?
All the time.
Have you made up anything on this in the last?
Yes.
This whole podcast.
What did he lie about right here?
I don't I, the Olive Young.
You don't what now?
I don't I the Olive Young
Are you fucking kidding me
No I go to Olive Young
This is this is
Here's
Our whole relationship is a fucking lie
You back up a little bit
No
This is the first time
I've been really combative with you
This is the only time
Here's the truth of the
Olive Young
You're fucking lying
You make it seem like
You know
I make it seem like
I'm by the window
Looking out at the line
Oh okay
All right
Here's the truth
of the story is that yes, I go to that place
and then I happen to just walk by Olive Young
to see if the line is long.
Okay.
The whole purpose of going to this mall
is to go to the Olive Young.
I do love the hot pot place,
but it's not like I care or I eye it.
Let me ask you.
Okay, so in that way,
but see, the way I said it, though, is funnier.
Barely.
It would be...
Okay, okay, okay.
You got to punch that story.
To make the lie worth it.
To make the lie worth it, you got to punch it up.
What about the name in the freezer?
Tell me that's real.
George's name is not in the freezer.
But Andrew Santino's name has been in the freezer.
These are white lies.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I have put people's one name in the freezer, Santinos.
Yeah.
And that's it.
Okay.
Yeah.
Did it cool off your relationship?
100%.
Did it really?
Yeah, it did work.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
George, your name is not in the freezer.
Yeah.
Yeah, but yeah, so I take things that are,
sometimes I should just fabricate things out of...
Elaborating for the story, I get that.
You're embellish, it's not...
It's embellishment.
It's also like, I like getting caught in the lie.
You do.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What's that feeling like?
Shame, it's fun.
Game, you like shame?
I love shame.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Whoa.
I'm shameless.
Yeah, yeah.
So it's like...
Shame is like a lot of people's least favorite, like, emotion.
Well, as a stand-up, and I'm sure pretty much as an actor, too, there's some shaming.
Oh, for sure.
Yeah, where it's like, you forget lines.
Well, and it's just the most vulnerable job.
It's so vulnerable.
Like, being on the other side of the camera,
I could, like, really see it for the first time
where I'm, like, watching these actors
just, like, you know, hype themselves up
for a really intense emotional scene,
and I'm watching behind the monitors.
I'm like, fuck that.
Yeah.
Like, and then you have to go out there
and you've got a hundred people
watching your face, like a close-up on your face
in every little mood.
It's so stressful.
And you got to just perform.
Yeah, it's so stressful.
It really is.
It makes me.
love actors more than ever.
Yeah.
I mean, to talk about shame,
he did Comics Unleashed.
Dude, I...
It's a great show,
and I know a lot of great comics on it.
What's the reputation of Comics Unleased?
It's a good one.
Okay.
Really good.
It's really strong.
It's really strong and very good.
I don't believe you.
It's just, it's a false roast.
Oh, right.
It's a false run.
It's one of his lines.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Well, I don't know.
I imagine.
I imagine you're doing what you're doing because you want,
you're a stand-up comic, yeah?
Yeah.
Okay.
How old were you when you started working with these guys?
This was recent.
I don't know.
I met Bobby probably like a year, a year ago or something like that,
but I've only been on the podcast a couple times.
How many times?
Three or four, maybe.
That's not a couple.
Has it been spread out or is it kind of consistent now?
You've been the guys lately.
Okay.
It's been a lot of fun.
What kind of energy is he bringing that you're liking?
Gen Z.
Gen Z.
It's not Gen Z.
If you want to get real technical about it, you do?
Yeah.
The technical about it is, why are you laughing?
No, please don't ask me anything.
I like the way you said it, that's all.
It's a technical thing.
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah, Gilbert laughed at the same thing.
Ask him why you laugh.
Guys, we're not going to get caught up in this.
We're not getting caught up at that.
Well, can I just say good energy coming from this side?
I know.
No good energy.
He blushes.
He gets scared.
Yeah, it's nice.
It's scary.
I'm scared. It comes from real place.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But you own it too.
Thank you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's a cute boy.
He is a cute boy.
You can say it, I can't.
Well, the pawns are.
You said it so quickly, though.
I'm piping us up.
This guy doesn't want to let me bring some positivity.
What's negative?
No, I don't want negative.
I'm a positive guy.
Say something positive about Dave.
Okay, so I, this is a,
and I'm going to be completely
and utterly honest with you.
Okay.
I knew who you were.
Okay.
I had never seen anything you were in.
That's okay.
Except I bought tickets for together.
Okay.
And I saw that with...
Can I ask?
You've never seen 21 Jump Street?
Never seen any of it.
Great film.
Have you never seen 21 Jump Street?
No, because I audition for it.
I get that.
Yeah, yeah.
Channing Tatum.
Yeah, yeah.
Channing Tatum got it.
I understand that.
Bobby.
And actually 21 Jump Street was the movie where...
So Stephen Youen.
Yeah.
We love Stephen Yun.
We love Stephen.
Yeah.
You know, he's done this.
And Stephen Yun, this is right off the heels of the walking dead.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sorry, I had to do the zombie.
Yeah.
Good zombie or no?
Good, good, good.
Yeah.
So, and we were, this is when you showed up for auditions.
And to me, Stephen Yun was our kind of like future Brad Pitt.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
In terms of Korean dude.
I still think he is.
I still think he is.
But I had two lines in 21 Jump Street,
and he was auditioning for the same two lines.
Okay.
And I pulled him outside, and I said,
you can't be doing this.
Ah, ah.
What did he say?
He goes, I think you're right.
I go, yeah, I got these little side things that they're trying to.
Sorry, it's just like a pep talk,
but trying to get him out of the audition.
But I get it.
Look, dude, this is too big for you, okay?
No, he did read.
I waited for him to read first.
I wasn't trying to fuck him out of the job.
I get what you're bigger than this.
You're bigger than this.
You got to get out of it.
I just found it offensive that I go, you know, I get me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, I'm an old, you know what I mean?
It has been.
But for you, yeah, but for you, you're our future light.
And I just don't think that two lines is a thing for you.
I get what you're saying.
Yeah, and I was trying to like, go tell your agents or whatever, whoever rubs you, like bring it up because you are hot.
And then look at him.
He's fucking killing it.
He's killing it now.
Yeah, I'm not saying that.
It's because of you.
I'll say it
That's not why
But I'm just say
Let me just say
It's been 15 years
You should see 21 Jump Street
It's a great movie
All right, I watch it
Yeah, yeah
But can we go back together
Have you never seen neighbors?
Funny
You were in that
Yeah, I loved it
Okay
Yeah, I love you
Yeah, I love you yeah
See now
All right
Can I see you?
I was gonna
I was gonna give you a compliment
You don't understand
Okay sorry
You don't think you understand
I don't think you understood
What you said there
No what do you say
Now you see me
The movie.
The movie.
I know he was in the first one.
And you said, I see you now.
You're all three.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, I brought you down.
I brought you down.
Get back to together.
Bring it back up.
Bring it back up.
Together.
Together.
No, there's more shame.
Okay.
Hold on.
We like it.
We like it.
We like it.
We like it.
No, living in it.
Living it.
Baby.
Hold my hand.
Oh, hey.
Hey, dude.
Oh, my God.
That was something that I didn't miss.
I missed it.
It's okay.
And sometimes I miss things.
That's okay.
And I apologize.
Tell me about together.
Okay.
So, you know, we didn't know anything about, but we love horror.
I love horror.
Me too.
Right.
We're going to get into horror in general after this.
I did some research on it first.
You got good rotten tomatoes.
Enough for me to go.
Yeah.
You know.
What's a, what's a rotten tomato score where you're like, ooh, I was interested, but now I'm
not going to go.
I feel like with horror, it's a completely different.
I think under 60% with horror, I won't go.
Even if you were really excited.
Yeah.
Under 60% is.
I don't like that, Bob.
I don't like that.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, accept it.
Have your own conviction.
Have your own conviction.
That's my conviction.
60%.
Okay.
You know what?
You do you.
I'll let you do you.
I mean, you look at ones that I've liked over the years.
I love together.
I love weapons.
I loved obsession.
I love, I haven't seen backrooms yet.
Of course.
I've seen them all.
Yeah.
You've seen it all backrooms.
Of course.
Worth it.
Have you seen it?
No.
It's very interesting.
It's like what I love about it is this is a movie that is killing it.
And it's weird, man.
It's heady.
weird movie is doing this. Okay, good. Yes.
I love that these smaller
directors, you know what I mean, are
killing it. Also together. We made that for $3 million.
Yes. And I also
love that like, you know, a little bit
of legacy media of the way they were
once doing it, right, is probably not
the future. I mean,
things are definitely changing. They're changing. Yes. And I
like the direction it's going. I love new voices.
Definitely, definitely. Don't we love new voices?
Yes. Tell me about your experience going to see together. I'm going
to. I loved it.
Thanks, dude.
Thank you, Matt.
I absolutely loved it.
That was so weird.
Yes.
Yeah.
And I also was interesting that it was your wife.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
And then I also, the ending was the most weirdest ending.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I've ever seen.
It's a big swing.
Because there's no.
Yeah.
The movie almost can't go on a second longer because you're like, what the fuck happens here?
Yeah, yeah.
So what do you think?
So here's the thing.
All right.
Do you see it?
I haven't seen it yet.
Okay.
Do you see it?
That's okay
That's okay
It's okay
It's not okay
It's not okay, it's not okay
It's not okay
It's on streaming
It's on streaming
It's on streaming
Hulu baby, Hulu baby
Hulu baby
And also it's like
You know you knew that who the guest was
Yeah yeah yeah
You knew who the guest was
And I'm really excited
You know what explanation
On his latest stuff
Look he has a point
I've seen a lot
I think 21
I've seen now you three me
I also
Now you're in.
The third one.
Santino's in that one.
Andrew Santina.
Yeah, he is in that one.
I did a lot of research about your upcoming movie.
I'm really excited.
Oh, all right.
There we go.
Okay, there we go.
Are we phasing into that?
No, no, we're not doing together.
I'm not done it together.
So I'm going to just explain to you to the people that haven't seen it.
Is it spoiler or no?
Well, you now we're saying spoiler.
Yeah, no.
Well, it doesn't matter.
It's been out for a while.
Okay, tell me.
Are you explaining the ending?
I'm explaining the ending.
Leave that out.
Leave that out.
Let me explain.
No, no, no.
Because Mike, I'll tell you why.
Okay.
All right.
How long has together been out?
Well, here's the thing, though.
But let me tell you why you shouldn't.
It's because people who haven't seen it right now are going to be like, oh, I'm curious and I want to go see it.
And I don't think that.
I haven't, I haven't seen anything in a year.
So let me pitch.
You can't spoil it.
Let me pitch together.
Is that okay, Bob?
Can I talk?
Yes.
Of course you can.
Of course you can.
I just want to permission.
Your DeFranco, go ahead.
All right.
So together, this is, like you said, this is,
This is a tiny horror movie.
We made for $3 million.
I made it with my wife in Australia.
And this is a crazy concept where we play this codependent couple,
and we get infected with something that makes it so that when we're...
Can we talk about the cave?
We'll get there.
We get infected with something.
I know.
We get infected that makes it so that when we're physically apart from each other,
we start to feel sick.
So we need to be near each other at all times.
But it starts escalating to the point where our bodies start fusing together.
It gets fucking crazy.
Like an angler fish.
Yeah.
I think that is what that is, isn't it?
But anyway, it gets...
There are other fishes that do it.
That fuse?
There's a fish that can detach its head and leave its body and then grow back a body.
Who is it fusing to?
I guess you're right.
So confident.
I guess you're right.
I guess you're right.
Oh, wait, fungi.
They fuse.
That's not a fish, is it?
That's a fit.
I was talking about an angler fish, a deep seed.
But I thought we're talking about things that fuse.
Oh, yeah, there's a lot of things that fuse.
Like engines.
There's things in the engine that fuse.
Bobby, tell me what you liked about together.
Anyone got another water?
So, okay, so they physically get sicker when they're apart.
Yes.
And then they start to fuse.
Well, we have to be close to feel okay, but then it starts escalating.
Oh, okay.
It's like a very like on the nose,
metaphor about codependency.
Yeah.
Okay.
Can we, to get around it, because I already talked about it, is you have family.
I have family.
I do have family.
In the movie.
Yes.
Her parents.
Her parents, oh yes.
Okay.
Her parents, come.
Characters who are playing her parents in the movie, yes.
Not my parents in real life.
Yeah, yeah.
That was a good thing to decide.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, now we can't even talk about the ending, so we can't even.
We can't.
You know what's great?
about us not talking about the ending and bringing it up so much
why people are intrigued they got to go see the movie
yeah yeah yeah you have to watch the movie yes
yes but Bobby I want to say genuinely
thank you for seeing it and I'm glad you like
I honestly believe that
because I'm a big film buff yesterday
I saw the
I forgot what was called
what the Furious
Oh oh how was that
I loved it was it was it great
amazing action yeah I love the most
too much action oh yeah it's almost too much
okay yeah yeah yeah but they
it was really good movie
it was fun to watch it was fun to watch it
I like to see everything too
Yeah, there's a lot of Korean movies coming out
That I'm very excited about
One is called Hope
Okay
And one is called Colony
Okay
And they're gonna
So the guy that directed
Hope
Yeah
He's been out of the game for 10 years
But the last thing he directed was
The Whaling
Yes
Oh that's a good movie
It's a great movie
I love the Whaling
Right so he waited 10 years
And now Hope is coming out
And it's an alien movie
I'm not given
I haven't seen again
You sold me already
All right
So and then the second movie
is the guy that did train to Busan.
Ooh, okay.
Another great movie.
It's another zombie movie called Colony.
Yeah.
And I'm excited about that.
Amazing.
Right.
And I'm not trying to brag,
but Koreans are...
They're great at it.
They're great at...
Everything.
Not everything.
Skin?
Yeah.
Pequendo is not a legitimate,
you know what I mean?
Mixed marshmallow sport.
It is.
It is.
It's an Olympic sport.
Whoa.
It's an Olympic sport, man.
What?
Bobby.
Yeah, there's...
Let me ask you what fighters,
because you're a UFC fight.
fan, right, are like, you know what I mean?
He's a, you know what I mean, a black belt in taekwondo and that's all he does.
Taylor Lautner.
Teller Lottner from the Twilight.
Oh, he's a tequado.
I know, I know.
Yeah, but he's not in the USA.
It's still Taylor Lopter.
I know, I understand.
But he's a vampire.
I know, but what are the sports in Mixman?
Wonderboy, also jihitsu, right, wrestling and boxing.
No, karate.
Don't say it like that.
Kickboxing.
That's the name of my cat.
Yeah, yeah, karate.
Kickboxing.
It was, yeah.
It's a big one, right?
But, like, there's no one that.
He's a black belt in Kung Fu.
There's never of that.
I would say a lot of people start in Taekwondo.
Yeah, that's a very fundamental thing to learn.
I'm trying to help your people right now.
Yeah.
I'm already rooting for my people in film.
Joe Rogan.
Isn't he Taekwondo?
Oh, I thought he was karate, but.
I thought it was what?
Taekwondo.
Oh, you're right.
You're right.
You're right.
Okay.
Sorry, Joe.
Bobby, can I ask you about horror movies in general?
Yeah, go ahead.
Give me some recent ones aside from the ones that are huge right now at the moment,
not backrooms, not obsession.
Give me some like ones in the last 15 years that you loved.
Have yours ready to do you?
I got some ready right now.
Oh, that I've-go back and forth.
That I've loved.
Let's go back and forth.
I'll give you, I'll start.
It follows.
Oh.
Yeah, but that's a standard.
Okay, okay, go.
I'm giving us somewhere to go, bodies.
I'm giving us somewhere to go.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's standard.
Go, go, okay, all right.
It's almost, you know what I mean?
Obnoxious.
obnoxious.
That it's a standard?
He thinks he's got me.
Give me one.
I don't think I have you.
Give me one.
All right.
I saw the devil.
Okay.
Okay.
Did you see it?
Yeah.
Okay.
Good.
That's up you guys like these.
The Austrian version of Goodnight Mommy.
Have you seen that?
No.
That's a fucking great movie.
Write that down.
The Austrian version, not the remit.
Not the remit.
Okay.
The Austro of Good Night Mommy.
Yes.
Have you guys seen Raw?
Oh yeah.
Raw is fucking fan.
Right that done I never thought.
Raw.
Oh, my, Bobby.
The Austrian one?
The poster for it.
Raw is French maybe.
It's another foreign movie.
I got one.
Yeah.
The Swedish version of Let the Right One.
I fucking love that movie.
I fucking love that movie.
Okay.
The Danish version of Speak No Evil.
Do you see that?
That movie will fuck you up.
Can I say Sam something?
You saw the remake?
I saw the remake.
I didn't like it.
Watch the original.
I promise you'll like it.
I promise you'll like it.
Is it false?
Okay.
Let me defend myself.
Okay, okay, because I think I'm being trapped in the corner.
You're not, you're not, you're not.
All right, so here's, I don't like any...
You did challenge me going into this horror back and forth.
Continue.
I know, I did.
Yeah.
I feel like I'm losing because I'm sweating a little bit.
You are, you are.
But there's a little sweat going on.
Yeah.
But here's what I don't like.
I don't like invasion movies.
Oh, okay.
Or people acting, like regular people acting crazy.
Oh, like the strangers.
Oh.
You were in a house.
Why don't you like that?
I don't like slashery kind of thing.
Why don't you like that?
Because it's, I don't know, can you beat, you know, can you beat Jason?
I mean, well, I just like, I like a slasher because I like horrors that do live in the real world that are grounded where you're like, this shit could actually happen.
Audition I liked.
Audition is fucking great.
Audition is classic, classic, but you know what audition is?
Fucking standard.
Everyone likes audition.
Yeah.
Flip it
That is like such a standard
All right
I got a new one
Can let me throw so much
All right?
I'm waiting
I'm waiting
Battle Royale
Sure
What is it?
What is it about?
It's Hunger Games
It's a OG Hunger Game
Great movie, great movie though
Standard Game.
It's about funny games
What?
Funny games is so fucked up
and I love it
Okay.
Yes.
Have you ever seen funny games?
No.
Write that down, write that down.
Yes.
I mean, I'm saying it, but I'll also write it down.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But there's also a remake of funny games.
Watch the original.
Yeah, original.
Oh, that's original.
Oh, that sounds fun.
All right, these are things.
Oh, Cans.
Sure.
That's a good one.
I like when that happens.
I like prestige films.
No, no, what I'm saying is is that you have to be honest with yourself.
Let's be honest with ourselves right now, right?
Yeah.
Whenever there's a Cans thing,
It's why they put it on there
I know but whenever that happens you go
Oh it's it's like
A Criterion Collection
Not every movie that's gone to Cannes
Yeah
Yeah that's a fucking good movie though
Let's be honest about that
Oh yeah
Oh yeah Bobby
What?
Paul fiction
Yeah that's a great movie
It was booed
You think a hundred
It was booed at Cannes
Yeah Paul fiction was booed at
Is that all
Look that up
Yeah I'm not sure
Fellas
Yeah yeah yeah
Look it up
But if I'm right
What do I get?
What percent positive
are you right?
What?
I think I'm 100% positive.
A hundred?
There's no doubt in your mind.
Look this up.
Look this up.
That or the Veniceville Festival.
It's too late.
You said can't already.
No, no.
Whatever it premiered.
Wow.
Paul Fiction was famously booed
at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival.
You got to put it in your next movie.
Yeah, yeah.
So that's a true thing.
But that didn't prove either of our point.
Yes, it did.
No, it did not.
Because you just told me that not every movie
that has the Cannes thing.
You think 100% of movies that have gone to can are great movies?
I think that there's some like, yeah, espionage going on.
Okay.
What do you mean?
I think there's like political things going on of like getting it in there.
But that, but that you're proving my point.
It means that bad movies can get in because of political.
They're like, we want Brad Pitt and we want people to come to cancel.
We'll just make it a can's time.
I agree.
Okay.
Yes.
Yeah, but I see through those lines.
That's what I'm saying.
You think everything is good.
I see through the lies.
You got to be able to see it through the lies.
Yeah.
I'll write that down.
Right, what?
Double fake out.
Yeah, yeah, there's lies.
There's lies that can't, yeah.
So, but something about that,
do you think the same thing about criterion collection?
No, I don't think I enjoy every movie that's on Criterion Collection,
but it does make me, like, perk up a little if I know it's part of the Criterion Collection.
I just watched one last night.
Yeah.
Night of the Living Dead.
Oh, so good one.
So good.
Classic.
It's a classic.
Yes.
So you've seen a lot of movies.
We literally try to watch a movie a night.
Wow, and you grew up watching movies.
That's why I'm doing all this.
That's why you're doing all this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I feel like I have seen a lot, but I guess I haven't.
I think you have.
Don't understand yourself.
Yeah, you did oner Sella with Battle Royale and also I saw the double.
No, no, no.
Audition, too.
But I think a lot of people haven't seen them.
I think a lot of people haven't seen them.
I think those are like deep dives.
I was trying to give it to you. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, okay.
You know what I don't think a lot of people have seen some of the movies I've seen.
I agree.
I even saw the news.
Cracken.
Huh.
Is that a criteria?
Why was that?
Yeah.
I like monster.
That's the thing.
I like genre movie.
I believe there's not
enough monster movies out there.
What about the host?
Great movie.
Great movie.
But can I say something
against the host?
You can?
And I will.
Okay.
I think they should
redesign the
because when you
re-watched,
it seems that
CGI is not.
up to date from what we've seen.
It's maybe part of its charm though. Is it part of the charm?
It could be.
Yeah.
But watching it, it's like, oh, God, I wish they did it.
What a re-
boot?
Not reimagining, but when they go back, like what star,
what a remastered version where they just change it.
Oh, you want everything to say the same except the CGI.
Except for the CGI part.
Like make that a little bit more, you know,
because the story and everything and the acting and everything about it is amazing.
It's a classic.
And I love Monster movies.
There's another Korean movie
that no one saw called Monstrum.
I've not seen that.
Because it's a Korean movie.
I love,
and the greatest zombie TV show ever made
is Kingdom.
I love King.
Oh.
I didn't know this.
Watch Korean TV show.
It's only two seasons.
Oh, great.
Called Kingdom.
Okay.
It's on Netflix.
Write that down.
Right.
I believe it's one of the greatest TV shows
I've ever seen.
Yeah.
It's up there with a penguin.
Okay.
Yeah, is Penguin one of your top ever?
Yeah, what the fuck is this with Penguin?
In terms of like mythology or...
They did a great job.
I didn't do a great job.
Of course I've seen all the Game of Thrones versions of all those.
Of course I've seen a lot.
I've seen Breaking Bad.
I've seen soprano.
I've seen all the classics.
Real quick.
You were kind of asking like, do I watch a lot of movies?
Is that and we kind of got into that's why I'm doing all this?
Is that, is it similar for you?
Like, did you grow up just like, hey, I want to be in movies because I fucking love movies?
I'm barely in movies.
I'm barely in movies.
You see, I try to come in.
I try to come in positive
and he undercuts it.
I'm not undercutting it.
I'm just saying in the 30 years
of being in the business.
Okay.
You know what I mean?
I don't think that it matches.
Like, I don't think people go,
oh, he's a film star.
But let me say this.
You're a film star.
Let me, I guess you've seen one film I've been in.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I've never been in the top five
of a movie on a scolsheet.
Okay, let me ask this.
Have you?
Sure.
How many times?
I don't know.
I'm not counting how many times.
I've been in the top five on a call sheet.
You've never seen a call sheet.
It went, oh, I'm number two.
I've acknowledged where I am on a call sheet.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
In the movie together, who was first?
Ooh, good question.
That is a good question.
I think my wife was first.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
And, um...
Got no follow-up there.
I do have a follow-up.
I do have a follow-up.
You know what I mean?
Was there an argument about that?
Oh, honestly, I don't think so.
I think it was a conversation.
I think we both decided you should have it.
Yeah, because you're a loving man.
I am a loving man.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, loving man.
Wow.
And was it difficult?
I can't imagine, like when you and I were together.
I can't imagine you and I doing a movie together.
Oh, oh, yeah.
What do you mean?
We've done a podcast.
I was going to say you guys work together.
Movies are different.
Someone has to direct, right?
It's still a big deal that you guys were able to work together, though.
But, yeah, I do think that the fact that we have worked together,
for so long is a testament to how well we do get along.
I'm so impressed at how easily you guys transitioned from being in a relationship to out
of relationship and continued the working relationship.
That's very impressive.
It is, it is, I don't know, I feel like it's very special.
It is.
I don't think it happens a lot.
But one of the first movies that he made me watch early on a relationship, I don't know
if you remember this, but I was like, this is one of the weirdest shit I've ever, but I liked it,
but it was just really weird.
Visitor Q.
Yeah.
You remember that?
Yeah.
And I'm like, I don't, this is so fucked.
The most fucked movie.
Like what fucked to movie?
You're not going to like it.
You're not going to like it.
You want to know the most fuck movie I've ever seen?
Have you seen martyrs?
The French film Martyr?
Martyrs is fantastic.
Yes, I have.
Martyrs is the most fucked up movie I've seen.
It's so brutal.
It's so brutal.
It's so brutal.
Absolutely.
I mean, but that's kind of a charm too.
Yeah.
Well, the terror fire movies are too violent.
Those are gnarly.
Yeah, yeah.
I just don't like.
See, that's another thing.
It's like when it's too brutal in that way.
Yeah.
But, you know, the, I don't keep forgetting the rabbit, the, the Furious.
Oh, period.
Yeah, the Furious.
The Furious, right, was a little brutal.
Okay.
You know what I've seen in the horror movies a lot?
What's the, Joker laugh?
There's a lot of eye gouging in a movie.
Yeah, but you have, today I've seen Joker laughs a lot.
I'm bringing out the best in the other.
There's a lot of that going on.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't know what this is it a new thing.
I had a lot of Red Bull to it.
Bobby, let me go back to the one good question you've asked so far.
Okay.
So working with my wife, working with my wife.
And how that is.
Because it's a real, it's a unique, strange thing where we've worked together, I think, five times now.
But like with together, that was the most intense version of it, right?
Where you got something?
Q-O-W-W.
Okay.
Where we were together all day, every day.
And not only that, it was the most intense scenes you can imagine where there were certain days
that we were literally attached to each other with prosthetics, where we were going to the bathroom together.
And after, you know, you can imagine, like, I've seen my wife go to the bathroom before from a distance.
I've never been doing it while attached to her standing over her looking in her fucking eyes.
It was crazy.
after every single day on that movie.
No, she could hold that for half the day, yeah.
But at the end of every single day, we looked at each other and said,
we could not have made this movie anyone else.
Did you poo?
I did not poo while we were attached.
But also kind of a relief that if you had to stay stuck to someone, like no better person than her.
Well, for us, it really works.
But like, I can't tell you, on the press tour, half the journalists were like, whoa,
what was that like working with your partner?
And we were like, no, no, no.
Don't project on us because you're thinking about how it would be working with your own partner.
It's like it's the most fun.
I feel like that's such a relief because if it's that intimate and it's that difficult, it's like, please get me someone I know.
And it just makes it so I think we're both the best we've ever been when we're working together because we're so comfortable with each other.
You can be so vulnerable and it just feels easy almost.
Yeah.
And especially like, I don't know, I can't speak to doing a movie with a partner, but when this started to do well,
It is such like a point of pride in their relationship to be like,
we worked on this thing together and look how great.
It's almost a separate thing to be proud of.
I'm getting chills, you're talking about that
because it's one of these things where...
Were you really getting chills?
I swear to God.
I'm not an embellisher.
Okay.
But like truly it is this thing now we look back at
where we would have been proud of it regardless,
but this was this tiny movie that we helped rip off the ground
and we made this tiny $3 million movie
and we made it a thing and we were in, you know,
thousands of theaters and it became this thing.
And it was just like we can always point to that
and be like, what a special time in our lives.
Yeah.
You know, me and Andrews are working on a movie.
Oh, I like that.
Yeah, Santino.
And we're doing it just as a side
because we love acting.
And so we decided, you know,
we're not going to get paid for this.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We want to do it for the love.
So the money goes into other thing.
We literally put our fee back into the movie
together to make sure it was all on screen.
Wow.
Yeah.
And I've done that multiple times recently.
Did you make your money back?
We did on that one, but that's very rare.
That's like one out of 50.
Yeah.
Are you scared?
About what?
Was that just a transition existential question?
This is the question after did you poo?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I have guns loaded, dude.
I have bullets in there.
It's good.
You know what I mean?
That question was after poo.
Yeah, yeah.
Scared of what?
called bullets.
So are you scared of
there's because the business
is changing so drastically.
Oh, oh, okay.
It's so drastic.
Yeah.
You know, are you scared of
the emergency of AI?
And also that you just
practical sense of like, you know,
you know, how many
movies get accepted
into Sundance versus
what's submitted? And then
like a quarter of those
get picked up by distributors.
Right? So then you have hundreds of films that no one gets to see we'll ever see.
Well, what's crazy is when I was, so we premiered together at Sundance.
That same year, I had another movie there that premiered that didn't get distribution.
So I really saw both sides of the spectrum.
Wow.
And it's fucked up because that other movie is good.
And like that director of this other movie, he, you know, he poured his heart and soul into this movie
and genuinely made a solid movie.
And then he gets it into Sundance.
It's premiering at the biggest theater at Sundance.
and then no one buys it.
And so, yes.
What happens in that situation?
What I think should happen is I think a streamer should fucking start
where their whole thing is picking up these orphaned movies
that like just need a home.
And like these directors would be like, yeah, take it for free.
I just want it out there.
I think there should be a streamer for these orphaned movies.
Dude, that's, why don't you start that?
It's too much stuff.
It's too much to do.
I mean, that sounds like a really good thing.
I know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That sounds like, yeah, that sounds like a really good thing because there's probably a lot of movies
that are solid.
That are solid and good, right?
And like, there was one that came out called Buffet Infinity.
Oh, yeah.
You never saw it.
No, you told me all, you made us watch the trailer and you gave us a whole hour spiel on it.
Yeah, yeah.
And it was a solid movie and you can't find it anywhere?
No, it's out.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Found out.
So this movie is.
The poster doesn't tell me much.
It's not the best poster.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So let me tell you this movie.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
This movie is played all in commercials.
Oh, okay.
I like that idea.
I like that idea.
It's all played in commercials, right?
And it's a local...
No, the trailer's not going to give you much, so don't...
Let me just explain it.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, so take the trailer off.
So chair?
But there's a story happening within...
From commercial to commercial.
So it's a local town in Canada.
Okay.
All right.
It's local commercials.
Okay.
Okay, I like that.
Right.
And in the beginning, it's...
I don't know if I have the right word.
innocuous? What does that word mean?
It's kind of neither
You can't pin it down. You can't pin it down.
The average, you know, I guess
commercials that you would see
Yeah. From a local TV stage.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right? Local businesses.
Yeah. Right. And they seem pretty normal.
The whole story is told by just commercials.
I love that. I like that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then the commercials get
weirder and weirder. That's cool. You realize that buffet affinity,
which is a buffet. Don't give away the ending.
I'm not going to give it away. Okay.
is gobbling up other stores.
Okay.
Right?
There's a sinkhole in the back of this mini mall.
Okay, you said enough?
That's enough.
I'm in.
Wow, you really just go for it.
Anyway, it's told based on just...
See, that's clever.
That's an exciting idea.
It's clever.
Yeah.
And it got distribution
because of its originality
and stuff like that.
So what happens to...
So these movies, you're saying
that don't get distributors.
Yes.
They just sit in a room somewhere
and no one ever gets to see them.
Potentially, yeah.
Why don't they just put it on YouTube?
Yeah, maybe.
I honestly don't know enough to know if you can do that.
I'm sure you can.
But I got to imagine the financiers who put in the money to make those movies.
They still want to get some return.
Even if it's been years that their movie's been sitting on a shelf,
I don't think they're going to be down with you just putting it out on YouTube.
It sucks.
It sucks.
Anyway, to answer your bigger question about if I'm scared,
everything you're saying is true.
It's like things are really shifting.
It's harder to make movies now than ever.
I guess I try not to get bogged down by that.
It's like for the last 10 years or so,
I just decided I'm like, okay, no one's going to hand me anything.
No matter what I'm doing, even if I am in a big movie,
usually that doesn't even lead to that many more crazy opportunities,
at least not things that I want to do.
Like the things I want to do, I'm still going to have to fight for.
And so I decided, okay, I'm going to take things in my own hands.
I'm going to start writing.
I'm going to start producing.
I'm going to pair up with people who I know who are writers and directors
and be like, let's figure something out together.
and it's a lot of fucking work
because sometimes, a lot of times
you'll write a whole script
you put together a whole package, all your
friends, good people, and then you don't sell it.
And you feel like, oh, fuck, that was a huge waste of time.
But I never look at it that way. I was just like, hey,
we tried, this was something we were excited
about, we put a good energy into it. Sometimes it works,
sometimes it doesn't. But when it does,
like with together, like with this
new movie idiots that I have coming out,
there we go. Here we go.
We have a visitor, I am.
Let me tell you how this came about.
I work with Mason Thames.
On what?
A movie called Nimrods.
There we go, yes.
Yeah, and I spent a couple of weeks with him in Oklahoma.
Nice kid.
Sweet guy.
So talented.
So talented.
Yeah, and his family.
Yeah, we would have hamburgers together.
Love it.
Yeah, and he's a talented...
He's the next thing, I think.
He really is.
Yeah, I really do believe that.
I did two movies in a row with Mason.
Yeah.
And so, okay, so this movie came about,
basically, I was talking to this writer-director 10 years.
years ago about this. I had seen a movie that he did called I don't feel at home in this world
anymore. If you haven't seen that, that's on Netflix. It's fucking awesome. I don't feel at home
in this world anymore. So this, so after I saw that movie, I reached out to him. I said,
what else you got? I would love to work with you. He sent me the script for this. And at the time,
I was actually too young to play this role. So I was like, all right, not meant to be. Let's walk
away. So like eight years passed. So, you know, let's say two years ago, I reached out.
And I was like, all right, hey man, I'm old now.
I can do the part.
Let's fucking go.
Whatever happened with that project.
And he said, ah, we got close.
It fell apart.
And I said, okay, no pressure, but I'm here.
If I can help in any way, let's go.
And so he came back to me a little bit later.
He said, you know what?
Let's attach you as an actor and a producer.
Let's go try to find the money.
And so I had just worked with O'Shea a few years earlier,
O'Shea Jackson Jr.
Yeah.
And like I said, I had just worked with Mason Thames earlier that year.
On what?
On this movie called Regretting You, a very weepy drama.
Very different thing.
Pass.
I understand.
I'm sure it's great.
Trust me.
Those movies are divisive.
It's either for you or it's not.
Did you cry in it?
I cry a little.
Here's your shed.
So anyway, I was like, let me bring in my guys.
Now we have this team.
Let's go out and try to sell it.
And we got the money and we didn't get a ton,
but we got just enough.
And again, like when you believe in something,
you put your own money back into it.
I took the least amount of money I could as an actor,
put my producer fee back.
back into the movie.
Wow.
And then this thing, again, you're hustling every day.
You're sprinting, but you're surrounded by people you know and love.
And we had the greatest time in this movie fucking is, it's awesome.
Yeah, it looks sick.
It looks sick, yeah.
How long did it take to develop this thing?
From like when I came onto it.
Yeah, the second time you came onto it.
We probably, from the time I came on to the time we were shooting.
Yeah.
Maybe like, let's say six to nine months.
Wow.
That's quick.
It's a pretty quick turnaround.
That's quick.
Yeah.
Wow.
Wow. Congratulations.
Thanks, dude.
Can you give us just the premise of it or no?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
So, okay, so me, me and O'Shea were two shitheads who are down on their luck and we get paired up to drive this rich teen to rehab.
And what we don't realize is...
Are you sober in this?
Definitely not.
No, no, I'm fucked up most of this movie.
Okay.
Okay.
So, no, yeah, we're the last people you want driving your fucking kid to rehab.
Yeah, because that is, because I know friends of this movie.
mine because I'm sober. Like, sober companions?
Yeah, sober companions that do this.
Yes. And I know a guy that does rich
people. Oh, wow, yeah, yeah. Right,
so he gets flown first class and he just
has to look over, you know what I mean? Yes.
You know, a Rockefeller's kid or whatever.
So the twist is...
Or Rothschild, whatever you want, you know what I mean? Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. Is that like, yes, you're like, oh, God,
we don't, I don't want these two fuckups driving
this kid, and the twist is the kid's way
more psychotic than us. So it's fucked up
everything for us on the way.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's like, it's got kind of, you
know old school like hangover pineapple express that type of vibe
totally I had one line in that movie which one pineapple express give us the line you
remember it let's call or something sell me on it sell it sell it give it to me
that's how I said perform it that's how I said let me hear it again I wasn't ready
for it I forgot what my line was like let's do it I don't know what it was you and Ken
right it was being Ken yeah anyway um wow that looks cool when does it come out
August 28th.
In theaters.
Yes.
That's great.
Yeah, yeah.
And here's the thing, too,
about these smaller movies.
When you land at these indie distributors,
that's Nicholas Braun.
Have you guys seen Succession?
Oh, yeah.
Okay, that's Cousin Greg right there.
Wow.
I'm so excited for this.
It's the most opposite character of Cousin'Greg you've ever seen,
and he absolutely kills it.
He plays a rapper named Pricka Bush de Warewolf.
Yeah.
That's amazing.
You scoot up a little bit of the names in there?
Did you audition Peter Dinklet?
Absolutely not.
Oh, offer.
Come on.
Are there other...
Yeah, we got Kieran and Shipka.
She's so cool.
I love her.
Be the little auditioning process.
Hey, when there's a part, you're gonna get it.
You could have been Pricka Bush.
Prick of Bush, Bob.
Give me your audition for Prick of Bush right now.
It's like a rapper.
It's what a great cast.
It's such a good cast.
Yeah.
We got Kieran and Shipka.
You know her?
Oh, yeah.
She's from Madman.
Exactly.
And with your wife.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Wow.
She's incredible in this.
So these are friends.
Did you know Peter before?
No, but our director did.
Our director did.
Yes.
Yeah, that's amazing.
Yeah, yeah.
That's what a great cast.
Oh, what I was going to say is with these smaller movies when you end up at an indie distributor,
it's like those indie distributors, they don't have a ton of money to promote your movie.
That's just the way it is.
So you're not going to be on a bunch of TV spots.
It's really about social media and getting the word out that way.
And so I've really taken it upon myself in recent years, especially if I'm a
producer on something and I really believe in something, I fucking get in there with marketing and I
bring in like these editors I know and these poster guys I know who I know we're going to really
put a, like go above and beyond to make these things really fucking hit. And when they do, like when
you have a good trailer, you guys do check out our teaser trailer like in a teaser trailer like
now. Watch the teaser trailer right now. Check it out in a real way. In a real way. Because it is
the most beautifully edited just like unique trailer you've seen in a long time. And when you have
something like that for a smaller movie, we have now gone from the,
I won't even say the number of theaters,
but the initial number of theaters they promised us,
we've now doubled it because of how people respond to how...
Wow, that's amazing.
It looks really cool.
Yeah, in a smaller movie like this,
I just want to get into the technical aspect of it, right?
You're shooting where?
We shot in Atlanta.
Atlanta, Georgia.
Yeah.
Does the actors get nice hotels?
You know, you get a stipend.
You get a certain amount of money,
and you can either, you know,
they can put you up in a hotel
where they put up a lot of people
or what I normally do if I'm somewhere for months,
I want my own space.
So I'll get just like a little apartment.
Yeah, yeah.
And I know how much money I have to spend.
And it's not a big place.
Yeah, yeah, okay.
It is what it is.
I'm always curious.
Yeah.
Like, you know, when I, I'm at the, you know,
five in the morning, van pickup.
Sure.
Right?
Yeah.
And they're right,
we got to go to a different hotel
to pick up the other actor.
Oh, oh.
Right?
Yeah.
And then you realize that you were in the shittier hotel.
Yeah.
You know, I mean?
Yeah.
And then you're like, I have more credits
in this person.
I get that.
Yeah, yeah.
And then why are these
staying at the
Ritz?
I know, I know.
You know what I mean?
I'm at this like
little tiny thing.
Yeah.
You know,
so I get a little mad
about that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If you're gonna put people
all the act,
put them in the same hotel.
Yeah,
it's a contract.
It's my contract.
You got to fire that way.
You gotta fire that up
in the contract.
Yeah.
I see, I see, I see, I see.
Okay,
because I'm about to shoot
a small movie
just four days.
Okay, is this one with Andrew?
No.
What is that one with Andrew?
Can you talk about it?
No, I can't.
Oh.
Have you guys acted together before?
No, we haven't.
Were you guys together?
Did you say in Goat?
Yeah, we done that.
But were you guys in the booth together?
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, it's him saying you're saying it wrong.
What do you mean?
Every line, it's like you're saying it wrong.
Okay, that's still a back and forth.
There's no fourth.
There's no fourth.
Yeah.
You're literally there just making noise?
No, there's fourth.
There's no battle.
What are you saying when he said you're saying it wrong?
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
That's your whole bit.
But I don't give him notes.
I don't understand
He's talking about actual notes
that Andrew gives him notes
because his voiceover work
is not that good
I hear what you're saying
I thought you're saying
those are the literal lines
from the movie
He was confused
and those were the lines
Oh
Oh no no no no no
No no no no no no no no no
What you're trying to cause
RIFs
And what I'm saying is
Is that at time
Not you
Trying to understand them
I know
But what I'm saying
Is that I'm saying is that
I thought I said it right and he goes but then it was always an improvement oh I think he
helped in a way like was he directed you in a good way oh in every way that's nice yeah but I had
no notes for him that's okay that's okay that's okay yeah that's a good friend actually where he's
like yeah yeah I'm just saying but yeah did you feel comfortable with him when you're going back
and forth and in like an acting way he's I'll tell you this okay okay um because
we're both stand-up comedian.
Of course.
Of course.
I'm giving you props.
I'm like, yeah, this isn't obvious.
Like, auditions the great horror movie.
We both have our feet in some of the acting words, some in the podcast, some in the
stand-up world, right?
We do mixed media.
Okay.
And, but out of all the comics that I know, he's probably, you know, I think Gillis is
really good at acting.
But I think that he's a, like the top of the tier.
I agree.
I agree.
I think he's a top of the tier actor.
I love Dave.
Yeah, he's a great actor
And so I trust him
In terms of those types of
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Totally
If it was Theo, I'd be like, no, I'm gonna stay it my way
Interesting
Yeah, okay, okay
But when
Is this movie that you're doing with him?
Is it, are you number one or two
On the Call of Shoe?
He'll be number one
Okay, will you be number two?
If I'm not, I will, there'll be problems.
Did you say earlier that you've never been top five
On the Call of Sheet?
Yeah, this, it
We don't even have finance
saying we're working on the script now, Dave, Jesus.
We're in the beginning.
We don't have idiots connections.
This guy's saying he wants to be top five.
I'm telling him you are.
And then he screams down my fucking neck.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
If I came off a little abrasive, I'm sorry.
That's okay.
Bobby, if the podcast ended now and I left the room,
would you say that I was attacking you?
Or would you say that I was trying to be a nice guy
and that you were projecting something on me?
Can I be completely honest with you?
Please.
It went 30 times better than I ever thought it would go with you.
Okay.
Well, that's, I mean, low expectations going in, but.
No, because with actors, sometimes you don't know.
Okay, okay.
Because they don't know how to add information.
They don't want to have fun.
Yeah, they don't have fun.
They're one-word answers.
We've had those situations where it's tough.
Okay, okay.
Right?
So it's like...
What is it?
Is it too earnest?
Is it like trying to, like, stick to the...
talking points too much?
Yeah, it's...
They're just not down to get silly.
Okay.
Yeah, and here's, there's a lot of surprising
things about this podcast
what we've done, right?
Right.
You have comedic skills, right?
Your timing is excellent, right?
You know how to add information.
And you're just a great personality.
You can just tell you're a great guy.
Thanks, dear what I mean?
So it was so much easier for me
than I thought it was going to be.
Okay, okay.
Right.
In fact, it flowed like you were,
you know, Theo or Tom'siger or whoever,
I don't know if you know, but I was basically kind of coming in to be a new host on the show.
How did I do, guys?
Yeah, yeah.
You know, another thing would be is that, you know, you're a podcaster.
You're good at media.
Well, can I pitch something?
Yeah.
Sorry.
Please, please don't because I don't want you to get rejected.
No, no, no.
I think that if you were the co-host thing, I think that you guys should do a specifically horror movie podcast.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah, yeah, one day.
Yeah, because you're such a horror movie.
You know all of them.
That's my pitch, guys.
That's good.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Have you and Allison thought about doing a pod together?
You know, it's crossed my mind.
And mainly because, as you can now see, like, I do ask a lot of questions.
Like, my friends make fun of me for it.
And, like, when I'm meeting new people, I ask a lot of questions.
And people are like, they make fun of me.
I'm like, how do you get to know someone if you're not fucking asking questions?
But anyway, it has, because of that, I do think about doing a podcast because I am genuinely
curious.
But I also know, and I'm sure you guys can tell me, it's a full-time job.
Like, this is not something.
It's not a full-time job.
Interesting.
It's not a full-time time.
But I feel like you can't half-ass this.
It's not a full-time job for me.
Right.
I just feel...
It's a half-time job.
I know myself and I know that I would like want to give this, give it everything I have and it just might take too much time right now for me.
Well, you do it once a week.
Okay.
You just can't miss weeks.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, you did tell me you just rolled out of bed right before I came.
I know.
I do no research.
Huh.
Do you do anything?
Once this, once this episode is done, do you do anything in post?
I do anything in post?
I do ads.
Okay.
How long does that take?
20 minutes?
15 minutes.
Okay.
And then is that it for you?
Yeah.
Interesting.
Yeah.
Why is it interesting?
Because that is not a ton of work.
It's not a lot of time of work.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Do you ever go in and be like, hey, ooh, I don't know if that sounded right.
I want to look back at this episode.
I've never seen any Tiger Bell episode in my life.
Holy shit.
I've never seen any bad episodes.
You know what?
Props to you guys.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Fucking cutting all that together and doing all the stuff?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Sure.
Do you get them enough props?
I think I do.
I think I do
He's not putting you in the freezer
Not putting the name in the freezer
I think I do I think I do
Do you get like clips come up on your phone though
Of your own stuff?
You've never seen someone swipe faster
Oh really? Really?
Yeah
I don't read comments
I don't read what people think of it
You know something you've been in that I loved
And you were great in?
What?
Gilden Kumar
People say that a lot
You're fucking great in that movie
And we rewatched that recently
Oh thank you
You are so
You're one of the funniest parts of a very funny movie
Thank you so much.
Yeah.
Did you enjoy doing that?
It was my first movie.
Really?
Yeah, so I was really nervous.
I think it shows the performance.
I was going to say, it almost like helps the performance.
It almost helps it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because I was super excited in it, but also nervous.
And I'm supposed to be nervous around John's character, you know what I mean?
And Harold.
And so, you know, that's a funny question because there I am.
So, yeah.
Yes.
Yeah, I was a young man.
Yeah.
But the reason why that happened was because I was, I read for Harold.
Okay.
Right?
And John got it.
Yeah, yeah.
And John told the people saying, you got to give them something.
Did you guys know each other beforehand?
During the auditioning process.
Yes, because they would bring in two heralds and two Kumar's.
You guys auditioned in front of each other playing the same role?
No, we would be in the same room and they would switch back and forth and combine it.
You know what I mean?
And then he got it.
Got it, got it.
He's a better actor.
But you know what I mean?
What are we going to do?
You know what, though?
Him recognizing like, hey, this guy's got something.
I love John more than I love, you know, he's not a betrayer.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
It's a nicer way to say that.
He's a loyal guy.
He's a loyal guy.
They both need the same thing.
Sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I would like to throw some names out there.
Who are betrayers?
That were not a betrayer.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Or loyal people.
Give us some names.
Ali Wong.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Not a betrayer.
Okay.
Who else you can.
Jimmy O Yang.
Okay.
Not a betrayer.
Yeah.
Ronnie Chang.
Not a betrayer.
I'm not surprised by all these.
They seem like non-betrayers.
Yeah.
So, Joe Koi, not a betrayer.
Okay, cool.
You know what Joe Koy's in?
What?
Forgotten Island.
September 25th, let's go, baby.
So watch Forgotten Island as well.
Yeah.
Double-fuel.
Got that second plug in, baby.
How did you feel being on this?
Being on this?
Yeah.
I loved it.
It was flowing, right?
It was flowing.
Flow state.
Flow state.
But like, also, unlike,
you I knew it was gonna flow state because but but that's because you know why why
because I had the opportunity to listen to this and know the vibe and I guess you
did have the opportunity to watch my movies and my interviews or whatnot but you
did it so I'm kidding yeah yeah yeah I'm kidding you seem serious you seem serious
I don't seem serious because I want I kind of knew the energy to expect and I was
like oh this is an energy I can have fun with and like it's it's one of my
favorite kind of energies like let's fucking you know let's let's go for
from Braveheart to the mall in like 90 seconds.
Well, there's so much more.
And have like 40 stops in between.
Yeah, yeah.
I just did Shay Shay Shay.
Oh, you did Club Shayshay?
Yeah.
Oh my God.
How did that go?
It was fun.
It went three hours long.
Right, so we're not gonna do that here,
but here's what I'm gonna do.
Okay, okay.
Is from now on, right,
if you have any big movie, a movie.
Yes.
That you wanna promote.
Yes.
Every year, come back on.
Amazing.
Yeah, and you're-
Or in fact, right,
For Forgotten Eyes.
Yeah, okay, yeah.
Come back on, maybe with Liza.
That'll be fun.
I love her.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, who's Liza?
So Barano.
She's like a-
One of the arms in the poster.
The arms of the party.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We gotta get the arm in.
Yeah, yeah.
I like to get both, but you know,
if we only can get one.
You know who's the other arm?
Who?
Do you know the musician, her?
Yeah.
Awesome.
Yeah, so cool.
Yes.
So she's the other arm.
Okay, I know her.
Yeah.
So, um, give Dave Barano a ball.
Right.
Hey, I'm Andrew Santino.
And I'm Bobby Lee.
And we made something completely insane.
We took celebrities.
We put them in my mom's basement.
We throw trivia at them.
We hit them with absurd challenges.
And then just when they think they know what's happening,
we blow to a whole ting a pot.
Nobody knows the rules.
We barely know the rules.
It's chaos.
It's comedy.
