Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Prime members, you can listen to Tiger Belly add free on Amazon music download the app today Hey You That's good for yeah, that's right three three Welcome to another episode of Tiger Ballet. What? Well do another episode of Tiger Belly. I'm your captain I'm just real frazzled right now because um, it's been just a really fucked up week and um You know, I was just driving here
Starting point is 00:00:49 I was I didn't know it was supposed to be this time and then I just got rushed and I was at the store because you know I hadn't been at the store since the news Friday and so I had to Um, there's a lot of people there, you know, so it was a lot of hugging and and a lot of sadness still And we've got who's in the room. We've got my beautiful son cake Kalei like you know, I like that. So I'm right. We've got soul rape Pure pure and simple as I am. Yeah. Yeah, George. I mean when he talks It's like literally my innards my innards petrified Petra and I don't know what it is I had this rage toward him and his voice and maybe I don't know what it is. I gotta work that out
Starting point is 00:01:31 There's a lot of rage. We're going to the Philippines together. That's gonna be fun. Yeah, you may never see him again He may never see it was actually um Bobby's idea to put you on a separate flight No, I asked can you just be I just can't hear you breathe So George is flying China Airlines by himself tomorrow morning. Are you being real? No, we're not doing China. No sabotage That's the cheapest one the cheapest. We went to the cheap Well, we first said is there a donkey he can get on just a time on back of a donkey like a caravan One of those and they go to boat. Yeah, they go. Yeah. Yeah, no caravan though. They wouldn't even take them We've got Gilbert who
Starting point is 00:02:11 Oh, pretty decent 50-50 on yeah, he's a pretty decent guy. It's enrages me a little bit. I'm sorry You've got my soulmate and my love human and my pillow my comfort pillow Bryce Well, thank you for being your comfort pillow That's why I love him bro, that's why I love him um so, uh, as you know if people if art, you know, we've had um Disastrous week and in a real sad week because Friday. Um, we found out that one of our past guests Brody Stephens Died he passed
Starting point is 00:02:55 he He hung himself in his place And let's not get into that this you know, I'm just no I want to talk about it. I want to talk about it because it's the only way Listen, I know people want to listen to this and be like Oh, it's supposed to be comedy Bobby sings a little me walking down the street song and then he doesn't know how to pronounce certain words And he gets emotionally angry for no reason, but maybe this podcast isn't about that. We also got like gay Asian coming, right? So that's when the laughs is gonna come because that guy is a fucking twister His ass his ass twists. What does that mean? You know what I'm talking about. Yeah, so, um, is it like a
Starting point is 00:03:39 grout? It's like like root like grout. It's like Gardian. Yeah, it's Guardian grout's butthole. Like it's made out of wood It's been fucking it's hardened through Cal. It's a callous. Yeah, it's butthole But um, yeah, so I found out Friday and then um, I had to cancel my show on Friday So if anyone that bought tickets for the Irvine improv Friday night, I'm so fucking sorry. I literally just couldn't even breathe breathe I've never and I texted you guys too, you know, usually I can handle you on my own like if you're feeling pretty down Yeah, that was the first time where I was like
Starting point is 00:04:17 Shit, I need to probably call his manager. Do you call her? Yeah. Yeah, and I was like, hey He's not doing well. Yeah, I was not doing well Like he was dry heaving like he couldn't like I've never heard like screams like that in my life Yeah, and then like the weirdest thing happened. I know it's not supposed to be a funny podcast But this is a reality. What is that? I heard I was in the other room I was like, I'm just gonna let him breathe it out on his own and then I heard just Oh, like screaming like crying, right? So I run over here and I'm knocking on the bathroom door Yeah, and I'm like Bobby open the door open the door and he wouldn't open the door
Starting point is 00:04:58 Yeah, and so I why do you think that I kind of kicked it open. Yeah fireman and he goes, I'm booing Okay, first of all, then I look over and I was like, oh, I'm sorry, sweetie I didn't know like cuz cuz okay, why would I cry on the toilet? I mean, it's fucking crazy I didn't take a shit. I know but you were cry pooing. First of all, can I just say this too? Is that I've never done that before cry poo. I was learning how I was learning how Wow, like it was right. You have to learn how to do it. You have to experience it I didn't think that those things could simultaneously happen like cry poo. Yeah, Ken. He tried I tried and um delivered And my poo was wet because my butthole was crying as well
Starting point is 00:05:39 I felt so horrible for you. Yeah Yeah, yeah, and then um, I guess Wednesday Adam E get the talent coordinator with this guy Steven and Who else oh Steve Simone also is going to clean out Brody's apartment, which I can't Imagine Doing that, you know, that's insane and apparently that the how it's not his mom that found Brody. Mm-hmm Do you want to give away this information to people? Common knowledge that everyone knows yeah, but I'm on comics. Oh, yeah, right. You're right. It's right. You're right But could leave the Wednesday thing in
Starting point is 00:06:24 From now on from whatever I say now. I will I'll okay. Yeah, no cutting. It's a delicate matters It's a delicate for the family, you know. Yeah, yeah, you know, but um This was hard because I think Duncan Trussell said it's like a mountain vanished Like it you know what it is. It's it's it's one of those things where I've been going to the comedy store for 20 plus years and he's always been there. I there's not I mean, I know I brought him there But as soon as you know, he he got past there He was just always there. So
Starting point is 00:07:10 It's really it's it's as almost as if like, you know something Like the concert wasn't there or something, you know or um like a big chunk of it is missing. Yeah, it's it's a really weird thing. I was just at the comedy store just now to pick up some checks and It's just just it just feels it doesn't feel right and You know Brody, you know, if you're up there wherever you are you know, the pleasure was all mine and We're gonna really miss you and It's a it's a fucking to that a disaster for for comedy and it's such a sudden shock
Starting point is 00:07:52 It was weird because when Kala told me I Was sleeping oh Damn, and then when she told me I was like completely asleep like almost like kind of awake but still in dream mode almost and And so I didn't even react to it really at first I just kind of was laying there still kind of sleeping and I said I became more awake, but then I go Oh
Starting point is 00:08:21 How come I'm not crying remember I said that yeah, what did I say you go just wait a second basically? Yeah, yeah, you know, you know, you know, it's like acid where it was just kick in or whatever You know, you know how like you go to a workout in the morning But you're not really in your full senses yet, and it's not till the middle of the workout where you're like, oh shit I'm working out like this is really hard. Yeah, it's the same thing your body just needs your to catch up And I knew that once it hit you Yeah, it would be the worst day. Yeah, it was it was it was definitely the worst Day in terms of
Starting point is 00:08:58 My relationship with comedians and whatnot. I mean Freddy soda was bad Mitzi Was not that bad. I mean I miss her or whatever, but she's more my boss and I don't really talk you know, or you know, but But that one hit hard. It's like, you know and You know what we can do is just really move on and and it was so weird because I came back from Hawaii and You know, so I was in Hawaii with I did five lines in a David Spade thing for Netflix
Starting point is 00:09:36 And Sandler was there because he's producing it and you know, I hung out with him and they were really nice It was really nice because I get to hang out with Spade and Witowski from love, you know, I know we know Chris. He's been on this podcast and It was fun, you know, um, we we ate dinner one night just David and Witowski and You know, David has really funny stories. The funny guy and he you know, he talked about Farley And when he found out that Farley passed and how he reacted is before we knew about Brody crazy And then we talked about I go when you go on the road who you use because I use so-and-so
Starting point is 00:10:17 I don't know what but he also used Brody It was weird and we talked about Brody at dinner. It was fucking weird. Oh, yeah, and then um Then I you know, so I was there for only a day and a half because I had a flyback because I had Irvine to do So I flew back. Was it Thursday night or Thursday morning Friday morning and I slept all day That's why I woke up at five when she told me or four and so it's just been just kind of hazy since then really to be honest I did Saturday night at the in Irvine and I thank you so much for showing up What awesome crowd. Sorry. What are you doing? It was awesome crowd I'm really proud of you for powering through. I know it's a way I have to do. I mean, dude
Starting point is 00:10:59 Eric Griffin went out Friday He was all he was in Boston and he texted me and he goes I gotta perform right now And I go, well, you okay? He's like, I don't know. I'm gonna any somehow got through it Because it's I imagine it's not even like you don't even want to hear anyone laughing You know what I mean when you're feeling that kind of grief Laughing is the last thing you want to hear people. Yeah. Yeah, and also, um When I called my agent, I mean, I love my agent and my manager, but there was a part of me because I was so distraught And I was just gonna tell them that I can't make the Friday show
Starting point is 00:11:38 There was a part of me that thought they were gonna make me do it And that would have been a very big problem But they didn't they understood and everything's fine now. So but thank you so much for coming to the show I think the shows were pretty good. I like my all my operas a little fucking up Leprechaun that you had open for me. What's his name? The Brown Leprechaun. Yeah, Dan Ramos. I liked him sweet. Yeah He likes like you except, you know, if you were dissembled and put back together He's a good-looking guy Dan's handsome
Starting point is 00:12:11 I mean like if you were like if you were like hit by a mad truck, yeah, right? And then I was a surgeon. I'm like, I gotta put it back together, right five minutes Then Dan Ramos would come out. Let me tell you though. That guy has a pretty spectacular look. He has a good look It's very There's only really one way to put it. It's like a mutant like no, no, no, it's like you're you're He's a master. That was a gameplay super person. Yeah. Yeah, it's like you're Whoa, you're creepy Tito, you know with a must with a molestash and all that I mean, I'm just saying like he has a good creepy uncle look. No, no, you know what he looks like
Starting point is 00:12:50 It's it's like an alien, right? It's like an alien that visited us for ten seconds like he met one human went on earth Right and then like he got zapped back in the space and then three thousand years later He's still alive and somebody said draw what you thought I think a human looks like and that was it from that one ten second interaction Yeah, and he would draw Dan Ramos Yeah, yeah, like that. He's a really castable face. Oh, yeah, he does he has a very interesting definitely beat me out on stuff And then we got we had Chelsea to I like Chelsea
Starting point is 00:13:28 You know what? He's a great girl. We said, oh, she's a great girl because our oh so Saturday, too My car wouldn't start. Oh, what happened with that? I don't know what happened It's just the Lord fucking my three door Prius or three door Prius wouldn't start and George's car broke down, too Yeah, that same day real spooky day Saturday. So Chelsea drove me to the improv in Irvine And I have to tell you the story if I can't do it online But it was oh my god She has very funny stories. Oh, and then we had a son. He was good. Anyway, the shows were great and now we are Getting ready to go to the Philippines tomorrow
Starting point is 00:14:04 And we're gonna be two weeks in the Philippines and I don't know what to expect I don't I haven't really even thought about it. I I'm just gonna go with the flow. Well, it's not gonna be It's not gonna feel like a vacation right out the gate. Why you know what we're doing, right? We're landing and the next day we go straight to the No, yeah, I think you're gonna like this part Surprising and I know it's not everyone's a cup of tea, but we're going straight to the dump site It's a dump site. That's that mean it's where kids there's kids that live in the dump site and we're gonna feed 300 kids And I'm making I'm requiring that we all do it
Starting point is 00:14:41 I don't want to take because this is a mistake to take people to my country and only show them the good stuff. I Well, it's a third-world country I want you to see it for what it is and I want you to see the good parts and the part breaking part Is there a Starbucks at dump start? Yeah, that's me that I'm gonna ask you what they have Claude, what are the amenities there? What are the amenities at the dump site or a spa? Yeah, there's like maybe a third-hand coffee you might find in the dump site. Do we sleep with the dumpster people?
Starting point is 00:15:11 Babe, no, do we sleep with them? I want to know we are going for a afternoon and we're gonna feed them I've already alright, but where do we go at night to for for for luxury and nourishment nourishment We're gonna go back to another for a tour resort I was just so fucked up. I was staying at a resort. No, we're not. Where it's a house. Who's house? It's a friend's house. We had to sleep in some foreigner friend's house Babe, please. There's our shower. There's showers. Don't be difficult. Oh my god already. It's like we're camping and now we're doing We're doing Angelina Jolie shit. Listen That's what Angelina Jolie does. We're gonna come back with kids
Starting point is 00:15:48 Yeah, yeah, only for the first three days and then after that we get to enjoy the Philippines Okay, the after the third day what happens? We go to El Nido That sounds nice. Uh-huh. What's in there? You have limestone cliffs. No, no in terms of Majestic and spa and amenities. Oh, we have a we have a villa in the front of the beach right on the beach But it's a hotel it. Yeah, it's rented out. Yeah. No, is it a hotel where there's service? No But there are hotels around it. I understand that but let me just ask you something to me It's better than a hotel because you have a full kitchen. All right, but do I have a kind of call somebody go get me
Starting point is 00:16:26 Go bring me up die code any direction like two steps to the left to the right and forward Yeah, our restaurants, but someone will bring it to me. Yes, okay me All right, let when it went what are you going? Where are you going? We're gonna go get I think Peter's here God So has he Peter done this podcast ever? All right, let me ask you a solo episode When are we going? When are we gonna go to luxury? Because oh so far it's how many what days the very last part of the leg We're staying at this like surf side mansion that Anthony Kitas stated. I know but is there service you have a butler
Starting point is 00:17:04 Oh, there you go, but it's in a hotel. It operates like a hotel. You can but I rented the whole place I know I just need a hotel I mean, there's a full like in the kitchen. They have a chef there that lives there It's a hotel basically by rented the whole place. You like rented a hotel. Yeah, it's like we bought a zoo You bought a zoo. Yes. I bought a zoo. Okay Okay, I'm just asking questions. I want to know what I'm prepared for so that's two weeks of that So two weeks of that Yes, okay. That's all I now. I'm prepared. So I need I need a lot of cash on
Starting point is 00:17:42 No, yeah, I didn't prepare. I didn't get prepared. Everything's already paid for I Can't wait. I paid for the place. It's fine Okay, so the first three days I'm gonna slump it so I'm not gonna wear my any of my fancy clothing Moncler What were you planning on wearing? I was gonna wear like just my yeah, I'm not gonna bring my fucking uh Golden glue suck goose out there They don't know the difference they don't they don't they're not gonna be like Well, is there a place so cuz I like malls. Is there a mall that I can go to the Philippines is mall I know, but is there gonna be a day where I can go? I'm just gonna go to the mall and spend a lot of money
Starting point is 00:18:20 Yes, yes, there's so there actually there's too many malls in the Philippines. Not enough for me Mall of Asia's massive. I love it. We're gonna go there in Malavasia. It's in Mandela or not But don't pick it up There's SMC side Easy as massive massive bigger than all the malls here SMC side. Yeah, we're gonna go there. Oh my god So we fly in I won't shower for a week. Yeah I was sure for oh my god Why are you so shiny? I'm shiny. I thought I would never see him again. Look at his face. Look at this guy. Oh my god
Starting point is 00:18:58 Don't hit the camera George. Can you turn the AC on? I feel like it's really hot. Yeah, we got you some doughnuts you fatty Real I could eat all of them. Yeah I'll leave you one Well, what event where we're no, yeah when you listen Peter. Yeah, well, you're not technically a guest You're just a part of it. Okay, so the first So let's just don't make it a to-do right to put the earphones on right yeah, and don't say anything until I Until I ask a question. Okay, but just ease into it. Don't force yourself into the thing. Oh my god. Am I shiny? No, you did your hair. I saw you couple you did your hair for this podcast. Of course. I'm gonna be on camera
Starting point is 00:19:39 You kidding me? I brought my own powder too. Did you really? Did you bring your own powder? I'm a professional. I know That's so fucking funny. Yeah, yeah, do it right. Yeah, yeah, I'm at the end of it. Look at this. That's how you know you're poor That's how you know you use it. Oh, I use it all the time. Yeah, why? Because my face gets greasy as fuck. I know. Yeah, look at me. No, no, no, it's shiny on camera. I just I Look at him on the phone. No, just Korean games. I'm just What are questions you have about Korean games? Well, I know I'm already you know, we fell we fell out All right, that's you fucking fruit juice you fucking fruit fruit
Starting point is 00:20:28 That's a lot of Potter bro Yeah Thank you, Bryce, I mean not Bryce So don't say anything to me you already did it but you know man, but let's just ease and do it Okay, so what were you talking about? So the Philippines? So it's gonna be um It's good. I'm just gonna go with the flow fuck it. You know man, I'm gonna go with the flow tomorrow. It'll be good It'll be all good. Um, Rami Rami won the Oscar last night and then I thought he's supposed to win and My favorite movie of the year free solo one. You see free solo. Yeah, you saw free solo
Starting point is 00:21:10 No, I thought about it last week. We talked about on page. Did you see it? Not yet. You guys see free solo anybody? Nobody saw free solo. Yes, I have baby. We talked about it. He's looking past you. No, you barely saw you were like turning away No, but I listened to the whole documentary. I just can't watch someone climb a fucking El Capitan like a face of a mountain without ropes. It's not my thing I start sweating. I get even shinier. It's not my thing. I love it makes me nervous. It's it's it's man conquering earth It's man versus earth. Yeah, I love it. You know When I was growing up, I had very strict Korean parents and
Starting point is 00:21:51 And they said, you know, if I got a D on my report card, they would beat me When I um said I was doing comedy stand a comedy. They were very upset But I can't imagine ever telling my Korean parents How was that was it weird you can I talk yeah I'm just waiting How's what did you come out to your parents? I did. Yeah. Yeah. How was that? It was scary. Yeah Yeah, I took my mom to a book Changdong B.C.D. Tofu
Starting point is 00:22:30 In New York in New York. Yeah, I was on 32nd Street. Yeah, there's a little Kate down there, huh? You wind and dine her first Yeah, yeah, I was like, oh, I'll pay. Don't worry. Hey. Yeah. Yeah, it's on me I had to her and my brother to BCD. Did your brother know? No, I told him at the same day Oh, my god, one knock it out. Yeah. Yeah. Did you feel like they had already suspected or they had to I hit it pretty well. I I could get I could act very mad. You get you can show us right now. Show us right? Yeah, yeah, that's good. Very good. Very crazy. Yeah. There we go. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah So how did now when you how did you say it? To my mom. Yeah, I I sat her down. You're probably crying. I was I didn't cry
Starting point is 00:23:10 I was like I practiced it at home, you know true actor And uh, yeah, you know actor prepares I got a coach. Yeah, and I um, I just told her I was I am gay and uh, she started immediately crying Oh, that was been heartbreaking heartbreaking and I took her to BCD because I wanted to have an excuse like Don't be what you know, like, yeah, it's too spicy Oh my god, why'd you make this too spicy? You blame it on the chef. Yeah. Yeah. So she cried. She cried. What'd your brother do? He oh, so my mom cried for a while And I was like get your shit together. You know, like I'm like you're embarrassing me
Starting point is 00:23:48 Yeah, and then uh, I was it was just like awkwardly silent for a little bit and my brother goes Yo, you're gay Okay, it was like that's what he's yeah, he's like a townie. He's like, well, yo, so you your brother didn't even know No, no, no, no, that's great. How is he much older or younger younger seven years younger? So we don't hang out Yeah, yeah, I was like a adult when you know, yeah, it's only you two in the family then. Yeah, okay. Did your dad What happened to your dad? He passed away. Oh, so I'm sorry. He's already told us this. I know he told me that Yeah, that's like the important This defined my life. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. No, it's okay. So when your mom so but then when did she go
Starting point is 00:24:28 So she she walked me back to I walked her back to the train station the end train right there on 32nd street And she was like, you know crying crying and she was like, you know, I have to like go home and Process this and think about it. I was like, okay, go and she went home And I was there for the weekend and then she drove me back to the airport And uh on the way back to the airport. She was like, this must have been very hard for you Oh That's that's already very telling and then she said don't call me to the airport This must have been very hard for you. Don't call me again. You're not my son
Starting point is 00:25:06 I feel like taking someone to the airport is one of the the nicest gestures and the most loving gestures So the fact that she already took that she took you there was already that she had accepted it I feel yeah, yeah, and it took her a while to still accept it like even like three years into my relationship with my boyfriend Yeah, who's so hot. Oh, thank you. Oh, we saw him at the CAA party. We ran into at the CAA party. He told me Yeah, and he goes, Peter's my boyfriend I go, oh my god. He's killing it. Yeah, I try when I saw him. Yeah He's like a fucking supermodel. You know what's crazy though when I met Eric and peter They were Eric was straight. It was a straight and this is I went I went to a party in chicago
Starting point is 00:25:45 Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. It makes sense. You converted him bro. Well, he converted himself, but I well, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Back back up. Yeah. Yeah. So your boyfriend. Yeah Was straight. Oh, yeah, he identified as a straight. Identified as a straight white man. Okay from he had women Yeah, right. Yeah, he met meets you He meets this fat yellow garbage Gay garbage, right? Thank you. Gay garbage, gay garbage And somehow it it it did something to in his inside. Yeah, so when you first met him, what was it? Okay, so you first met him. Yeah, is he a comic too? Comic too. Yeah, he's a second city or stand up stand up guys
Starting point is 00:26:29 Right. So you met him at a club at a show. Yeah, not at a club And then at first did you think he was cute? Yeah, Jesus. Have you not seen the man? Yeah, he He immediately I was like, he's hot, but I'm not gonna talk to him You know, like when you're into someone and you're like, yeah, right, you know, and then you just walk by I told my a girlfriend I was with I was like, oh my god, look at this guy And it was like one of those like, you know, have you ever been to shithole? Yeah in chicago It's like, uh, these college kids started this like underground show in an attic and they packed like 60 people in there It's like crazy hot and like disgusting hipster. Yeah, and all these like soup
Starting point is 00:27:04 You know how comedians bodies are straight white comedians. Like, you know, a lot of them just don't take care of themselves They look like me, you know, so like I It's just a comedian body. Yeah So it's a lot of comedian bodies like hot in the summer, you know Memorial day And everybody's like shirtless and everyone just looks gross, you know And then I see him and he's shirtless and he looks like just a twink god And I told my friend I was like, let's not even talk to him
Starting point is 00:27:34 As if he was even looking. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then what so you then you meet him and then we met because one of his friends Uh was uh In a show that I was in the week before and he was a pianist and it was one of these shows where they were trying to underscore stand up You know what I mean? Yeah, which is already a horrible idea. You know, just like you don't need anything Yeah, and he was just being annoying. He kept like at every punchline Let's say the punchline was like and then it was my mom, you know, and then he'd be like And then ruin everyone's and then I got up there and I told him like damn you're really talented And he was like, well, I thank you and I was like, I can't believe you're not famous
Starting point is 00:28:18 And then he was like, oh, actually I was uh, uh in America's Got Talent round two and you know, all this stuff Yeah, yeah, and he told like his little spiel and I was like, okay cool. Uh now back to me You couldn't stop talking for the rest of the set. Wow and I just shut him down And um, he came up to me that that moment when I met my boyfriend He knew Eric and he was like drunk and acting like an idiot. Yeah And um, uh, he was like, hey, uh, was that being an asshole last week and I was like Yeah
Starting point is 00:28:47 And and then Eric was like, oh shit Okay, wow. Yeah, I don't like girls anymore. Wow No, I'm just kidding. He's like, he's queer. He's into everything. Yeah. Wait, wait. He likes women too still. Yeah Yeah, he's queer, babe. What is queer? Everything. Oh everything, babe. Whatever. Yeah, whatever, but you you You guys are consenting holes consenting holes. You guys are like, that's a great write that down as a good fan name We are the consenting hoes Oh, good accent. Um, so but you guys are, you know, relationship. Yeah Committed. Yeah relationship. We live together. You guys moved here from Chicago together. Yeah
Starting point is 00:29:27 He's yeah, he is absolutely very cute. Yeah, but it is just to stand up anymore. No, I don't see him around He does he does he writes more but like yeah, we do like shows together. Yeah, he really loves you. I can tell Yeah, how Because when he was he was so excited to tell us Yeah, that you were his man his man And I said something weird like you fuck that fact Like I was really good at it. No, that's kind of a big rude, right? I was on brand. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What do you mean? You're very mean
Starting point is 00:29:59 Yeah, that's why I like you. Yeah. Yeah, I don't you know, it's so funny because I feel like i'm a softy. You are a softy, but you go into k-rage and then I think it's very mean I have fucking rage. It says k-rage. There's a t-shirt. Yeah. Yeah. Something made a t-shirt that says k-rage. I have so much I have so much rage me too I do have that Yeah, the rage and me recognizes the rage in you. You have k-rage too. Oh immense Yeah, yeah, I try to like keep it down with weed, but like it flares up
Starting point is 00:30:30 See, it wakes him up. Yeah, it's like eczema. It's like once a month. It really gets bad I thought it was a hereditary thing like just for my I got it from my dad same the rage But I think now In retrospect if I look at all the koreans that I know There is a level of anger there That where does that stem from? I think it's just oppression. Yeah oppression You so you think that k-rage Derived from when the japanese occupy korea for 50 years. I think even before with like mongolia and shit like that
Starting point is 00:31:04 Wow, so you think it's ingrained inside us to have trauma is if trauma is hereditary it stays in your genes So I really think that like why are filipino so fucking nice then I think it's because it's recent Maybe no, no, no 300 years with spanish and then the japanese did to us what they did to you Oh my god, and then we have the americans who gave us a fake freedom just to put like bases in the country And we're still third world country. Yeah, why are you guys are all happy? Oh my god, you go back home I'm telling you like everyone is doesn't have a lot, but is Exponentially happier than americans. Yeah, okay, and there's no such thing as a
Starting point is 00:31:43 Maybe you ever heard of filipino rage. No It's like he patients filipino patients I think has to do with atmosphere of their where they grew up weather weather. I mean you're in paradise So like how angry can you be? Yeah? Yeah, you know like we got everything we have a lot of snow It gets really even during the summers gets really rainy kind of and hot and hot and muggy And the winters are super cold. I think that um, I don't know man. It's it's just something that Um, you guys didn't face your demons You think that's what I know they talk about it
Starting point is 00:32:17 They probably there's a lot of suppression. There's yet. That's a lot of suppression. I think that's what it is Yeah, but that's why I like bobby because everyone here is like let's just talk about everything and bobby just like Like flips out and calls me fat fuck and I'm like, yeah, give it to me Yeah, it's weird like I'm used to So yes It's funny that you say that because it's like when Comics rip on me, right? Yeah. Yeah, and I somehow just absorb it. I love it. I love it. I absorb it It doesn't offend me, you know, it's like I don't get threatened by anything verbal usually
Starting point is 00:32:52 Like even as a kid people go, you're a pussy. You go, that's right. Yeah, I am Or you know back in the day when you know, people used to call people chicken Right and then would be get offended. Yeah, not me. No call me a chick. Call me a call me chicken. You fucking chicken. Oh, that's me quack quack I don't I don't want you I don't I don't I don't want you to tell me for you a duck dog Don't give me a duck, right? That's what you do. You do the wrong thing and then everyone laughs. Yeah, everyone laughs, right? You'll clap, right? Yeah, you know what I mean? That's not a chicken. I go, that's me My point is is that I use humors defense magazines, but I do have this unlike dude
Starting point is 00:33:31 You know, I'm not gonna tell you what we fought about but my brother and I last week I think it was last week. It was yeah last week It got to the point. I was screaming at my brother so hard That the phone just shut off. Jesus. Like it was so it like my phone went Siri couldn't handle it and my girlfriend and then um, Steve calls me back and he's now my my brother's calm And he goes, I don't want to fuck you with you anymore because you're gonna get a stroke Like he knew that I was at a level of I could have had a stroke
Starting point is 00:34:07 Oh my god, I was screaming at him So I would have killed him if he was right in front of me, but that's after he said he would kill you first, right? Yeah, I forgot who threatened who but like Yeah, there's always like I feel like you guys take it there a lot. Yeah, because you told me that he was like bro I have knives Remember. Yeah, you did say now. You brought up the knives again. Yeah now Last week he did. Geez. Yeah, he always brings up knives, which is like that's so asian You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. We don't fight with guns. Yeah, we do
Starting point is 00:34:35 It's sashimi style It's the west side story. Oh, yeah, it's old school. Knives is also like very personal Oh, yeah, intimate. Yeah, you lock eyes. Right. Yeah. Yeah, right fucking sore subject for me. Oh, yeah My uncle killed my other uncle in broad daylight with like a machine with a sword and basically a machete is not a knife, babe It's not okay. That's next level. It's huge. Yeah with an axe with an axe. Yeah. Oh my god I'm we're gonna go see him in a couple days. His name is uncle carlo. Remember him. He'll come to the airport He's out of prison though. I know he's I think I still have knives Um, he has many but here's the thing like I feel pressured to invite him to things because I don't want him to rage out
Starting point is 00:35:20 Well, he should really hard like not invite him because he might kill you Yeah, because I don't want him to like retaliate like I know that he is a changed man But he still shows up like Looking like a fucking gangster with like a wife beater and shit And he always like his favorite stories are like prison stories So I don't want to like rock the boat and like just leave him out of things So I have to sort of you know, invite him to something. So I mean, I'm a t-shirt Go to uni club. They're cheap
Starting point is 00:35:50 I have a quick question for you Peter real quick. Um And I want you to be as honest as possible and it's not for comedy. It's not for a laugh. Okay, all right who's hotter between these two Honestly, yeah, I've always had kind of a crush on george You just killed bobby's soul you just There's something very like sweet, um that I want to like, um Fuck this. Yeah. Yeah, you know, I want to ruin
Starting point is 00:36:25 Yeah, yeah, brice looks like he he's already been ruined. You know, I guess you don't get that handsome without like going through some shit george looks like something I want to just break, you know Break his soul. Yeah. Yeah. I want to break him down. Right. Yeah, but so what you're saying to me But be honest with me. Please don't because you use I just almost k-raged When you preach george, I almost k-raged, but I had to calm down. I was like, yeah, right So but at the end of the day, yeah, you have to admit The brice is the more pleasant looking one Like commercially. Yeah, commercially and globally
Starting point is 00:37:03 Okay, yeah, universally, too. Yeah. Yeah. I actually although I think brice has a more attractive aura I think the george george is more Prototypically handsome. I feel like uh, george might be I feel like brice Uh Might like skate on his looks in the bedroom. Whereas george might get creative. Oh, yeah Oh, you have to get creative. You know, just a little bit like I don't know like when you look at girls. Do you want like the hottest girl or the girl with like
Starting point is 00:37:35 A mole, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. The pens are the molder. Sorry. Yeah. I mean no shade on moles like If they're placed, right, they're beautiful. I'll be honest. I've always been a little superficial. Okay I have me too. Yeah, I've always been a little superficial Well, you're you you got very unlucky because I have nipple hair and pimples in my butt Me too and stretch marks. Yeah. Me too. No. What happened? Kalyla. Um, come on. Be honest, babe I mean when kalyla is hot I mean, you're gorgeous. She's gorgeous and then on top of it. Also So she's a smart lady. Yeah, right. So she's she's got
Starting point is 00:38:12 The combinations that I like. Yeah, he lets you know, he Tries to not see the pimples in my right. So, yeah, you go blind to the I think I'm surfing shallow. I'm surfacing and shallow in terms of like, yeah, you know, I mean Women that I've chose to Interact with in a physical way, you know, yeah, they have to have You know, I have to be attracted to them, you know, and uh, You know, is that does that make me superficial? No, you're being attracted. You like what you like. Yeah, you like what I like Yeah, you know, you know, you know what who you find hot other people might find a four
Starting point is 00:38:48 Yeah, like that girl like that girl that I did um that movie. What's her name? Lauren Lapkiss. I love her. Lauren Lapkiss, right? It's very funny. Yeah You know, I've never seen her before. Yeah, I was sitting in front of the hotel and she just walks up to me goes Hi, I'm Lauren. She was a Jurassic world. Oh, that's okay She's also an orange is the new black Oh, I haven't by anyway, Lauren walks up to you. Hey, I'm Lauren and I you know It's so good to work with or whatever and I go and I looked at her and I've never really seen her before. I'm sorry But in my head, I'm like, wow, I know she's funny. You can just tell with her smile
Starting point is 00:39:25 But she's also weirdly cute. Yeah, totally. Yeah, I mean like she's in an alieny kind of way I like I really honestly she's yeah, so I was telling that to spade. I go Dude, that girl's interesting looking. Yeah, I like her vibe. I agree. I also think I have a thing for what I call ugly fine I am driver. Yes. Oh perfect ugly fine. Yeah. Yeah, so ugly like a Rami Malik kind of yes They're not symmetrical. Yeah, there's something like perfect looking boys. Yeah. See george. He's not Rami Malik I mean you're going real symmetrical with him, right? This right here is a disaster, dude He's ugly. I love you. He's not ugly. He's not ugly. George is a handsome guy. Is he really the hair could use a little work Yeah, yeah, yeah
Starting point is 00:40:14 Are you doing that on purpose the back? Oh, yeah, okay Okay, yeah, you know what it is though, you know, here's what it is is um I Guess what it is with george is that you know, I I've known him for a while now. How long have we known each other? Seven years and my relationship with him has always been a certain way Where I'm you know, I mean the guy that he wants to work with I guess in the beginning, right? Like you wanted to work with me really badly, right? And I was playing hard to get I was playing hard to get a little bit of chase right like no, you don't get this
Starting point is 00:40:52 That's what Peter does with men And no, I go straight for the jugular And then he finally, you know, now we are, you know working together In a business and um, we're going to the Philippines together But there's still that little thing that I have that I need to like tear him down. I don't know if that's Healthy, you know, he knows I love him. I just can't tell him to look in his eyes and submit But you know what I mean? Do you do you tell Bryce that you love him all the time all the time? But here's the thing with him though is is that
Starting point is 00:41:25 If you were to ask me I had a choice between Bryce and george to be my producer on anything He would be him Well, you're like my fuck toy He's your side piece. He's your vibrator. Yeah. Yeah, like he's the one I want to look at. Yeah He's the one you want to eat with. All right. All right. Yeah. Yeah. I want business. Yeah. He's gonna get you done Yeah, this one right here is like, all right stick around. Yeah, nice. I can't do yeah Yeah, he's good to have around they're both
Starting point is 00:41:54 I believe that he has creative potential and He he can produce things is just something there's something very clinical and anal about this clinical is the word That's exactly it. If you were ever read a single george kimmel email Yeah, that is the perfect word to describe it. It's clinical very short. Yeah. Oh, I love that. That's turning me on I love you really even his texts are very like Did a computer write this? Yeah, like today like I address it's like so perfectly done You know me symmetrical even the message. Yeah, there's the punctuation. He indents all his paragraphs
Starting point is 00:42:29 He doesn't use abbreviations. You are as you are. It's not your yeah He's very just straight. He is critical. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's very clinical and I like that about him, you know, um But it's fun to like break break him down a little bit Yeah, I have a friend like that. I have a Korean friend who he was in the cbs showcase with me Jay Lee the sweet boy so sweet the sweetest boy and he's like the one type of guy like when you have him in the cast He's like making sure you know where your entrance into exits are like do you need help like getting your costume? You know one of these. Yeah. Yeah, and I hate that. I hate it, you know, and I'm like you fucking making me look bad You know the other Korean in here, you know, yeah, so like I always make sure to break him down in front of everyone
Starting point is 00:43:14 Yeah, everybody knows why do you do that? Um, I think it's because I'm insecure. That's what it is. Yeah, but it's fun. Yeah There's this girl there's this girl on my show That's a prop girl, right? And she's so good at her job that little itty bitty things like a ring like my wedding ring. Yeah, right So one day she's like you have to wear the wedding ring. This is a year in And I just looked at her and I go because she's so clinical and anal about it They got no
Starting point is 00:43:45 It's just almost teared up I can't do my job then right and I made her feel like shit because a couple of a month later She was putting the ring on and the executive producer said, you know, she said executive producer you wear a ring in the show No one ever noticed. What? Yeah, and I heard her And I looked at her go see Like like, you know what I mean? Like, you know what I mean? Yeah, your job means nothing. Yeah, and then she she got really sensitive Then I apologize. Yeah, because I'm like, you know, you know, you can let people do their job Yeah, and you know, just because the executive producer who scenes sees every frame. Yeah
Starting point is 00:44:23 Didn't see the ring doesn't mean that somebody else didn't see it. Right. Right. See it. What that's nice. Yeah. Yeah, anyway That's a weird story That makes me feel like it looked like an asshole. Yeah, I mean it sounds like there's no there's one over You were joking. Did she didn't know you were joking? I wasn't you wasn't That's the how mean I am Oh my god, I'm so fucking mean Oh, no
Starting point is 00:44:50 Does that mean babe? No, because I think that the way you you say things is always it always feels like it's in jest Yeah, I never take yeah, people go, you know, people go, um Are you serious to me? I'll and I go you should never ask me that Yeah, because I'm really you'll know what I'm serious. Yeah, because I only go silent sweet to rage Those are my two, you know, those are my two, um Emotions
Starting point is 00:45:18 There's a difference between joke mean and then rage. It's very clear. Right. Yeah, you because you saw me snap What when did I I'll tell you when I snapped on this podcast where we couldn't even air it But we did it. We did we did air it a little bit. Yeah, what what patron for what though? What what was it that you guys try to do to me red dead redemption? Yes, exactly intervention. Yeah, I remember that Yeah, and you knew When I started screaming I was like, oh, is that it was real, right? Yes, because I remember how scared you were I've never seen george like that. Yeah, you were scared. What was george's reaction? He just was like because I knew it came from his little itty bitty little fucking
Starting point is 00:45:52 Oh, you're midwest mind. You know, I mean, let's cry cos mommy, you know Let's you know provoke him Right, I think that'll be interesting to watch right and then what happened was Absolute rage rage and I would lash out in a really weird way And you could tell that he was affected by it Like he was scared Damn, yeah, even today when you know, you told me to get here earlier and I was trying to get here. It's fast again I rage out. I don't know what it's not good. It's not a good
Starting point is 00:46:20 It's not a good way to live, you know, especially when brody, you know died Yeah, I mean, I'm sorry for your loss. That's gotta be you know, so funny that you say that Why? Because I'm getting a lot of that on instagram and twitter. I'm sorry for your loss. It's like I find that to be weird because I because First of all, a lot of people lost right and also
Starting point is 00:46:45 When people say that to me, it's almost as if like brody was my cousin or a family in that way weird way I just feel like I wasn't close enough to brody for people to go. Sorry for your my loss. That's true. Why? Um, you're deeply affected by this Yeah, and people feel sorry for the pain you feel of losing a friend. Yeah, that's what it should really be is I'm sorry for your pain You know, yeah I see you and you're not doing well. You're hurting. Yeah, and man, that sucks. That's all you're really trying to say Yeah, yeah, yeah, because you know, you know like Zach Afronakis who was very close to brody He's he I would text sorry for your loss
Starting point is 00:47:26 Right. Yeah. Yeah, because they were inseparable, right? Dave Wrath his manager. I'd say ester Sorry for your loss, you know, um for me. It's like, um, yeah, I did lose But I think comedy lost sure and I think that um You know, I mean, I I you know, I did bring him to the store. I did I loved him He's done. He's you know, he's here. What does that mean you brought him to the store you introduced him to people No, I helped him get past there. Oh, okay. You know, yeah, I introduced people to go, you know, this is Look at this guy. This is years ago. But that's how long ago was and that's how um Like I said, I was at the comedy store earlier and it was I've never felt it like that there
Starting point is 00:48:11 I mean people were like waitresses were like solemn It was a very solemn place And I hate to bring it back up. I'm sorry. It's just in the air and it's just something that um, I can't pretend guys I'm so sorry. I cannot okay. It happened. Yeah, I can't and it's so new It's so nice. Um, also if you don't if you want to veer away from that I have a good seg Oh Let's go deeper. Why do you have scotch tape on your chest?
Starting point is 00:48:38 Because I filming They put the they put the mic for the Brendan Dermot there. Good. Good. I thought you were just trying to cover the hole in your chest No, I like holes so much. You know Brendan Dermot thing. Okay. Good. Good. Which is weird You know what it was, right? Keep going because I have to pee. I've been trying. I was like, do I hold it? Do I hold it as I cannot anymore? Yeah, excuse me now. Do you think that When you know, you and I were hanging out helping you're gonna help me with my special You think I bailed out on you out of fear? Yeah, it's not it's not I got really busy. Okay, you know, I got really busy and um I just started getting a lot of things on my plate. I don't think it was fear
Starting point is 00:49:15 I think you were for sure busy, but I think I Definitely pushed you You know what I mean? Like no, you don't think so. No, I felt like no, I know. I here's what it here's what it is Is that you're right You're right to push me. Uh-huh. Okay But it reminded me a little too much Of like my dad or whatever
Starting point is 00:49:40 Oh, wow flip flop it became like, um Interesting it became almost like work. No it not work It became like all those old feelings. Yeah, I had with my parents Right came up. Okay, like interesting, you know when your parents go, you know, they You're better than this. They didn't say stuff, you know in korean, right? Yeah, you can do more, right? Look at you know, like you were saying stuff like look at so-and-so, right? Yeah Look what they're doing, right? And then all of a sudden what I did was I shut down Yeah, right and in my heart and in my mind I go
Starting point is 00:50:17 All right, I'll show you Yeah, you know what I mean? Yeah, but I really did get busy. Yeah, I know. No, you don't I do I think that you think I think that you think I'm fucking afraid or I'm a pussy or something. I'm not chicken quack quack. I know quack quack quack chicken. Listen I don't uh for I know What I was Like signing up for you're a busy guy, you know what I'm saying? But I do think I definitely pushed you To a point where you felt uncomfortable. I obviously saw that. Yeah, and I don't that's fine. You know, I'm saying like
Starting point is 00:50:51 I apologize for me. Okay. I accept. I apologize You know, I honestly I will say though. I don't think there are enough people in this life that do that So I really appreciate you Being even though it's uncomfortable I think that he he does need to hear it and even if he does step away The message was sent and that message needs to be sent a lot. Yeah, so I appreciate you for doing that Because I think it's really planted a seed in his head and it really really did light a fire even though you Didn't see that part of it. Yeah
Starting point is 00:51:23 Thank you for saying that and thank you. I don't cheeks blend into your neck I was waiting for you to comment on that. Yeah, it's I'm I would look at your face like I don't have a chin Yeah, I don't know your cheeks And your neck is just one one organ right fat. Yeah fat organ organ one organ. Yeah, this is why I can't book pilots I mean we need to contour your neck, bitch. No, I know I've been analyzing your body, right? You love doing that by the way. I love analyzing the master of this. I know Can I say I don't take any offense to like you bailing or whatever You getting busy all of that right because I feel like they're you and I have a very familial dynamic
Starting point is 00:52:08 We're like we push each other and we get each other. You know what I'm saying? So like I don't feel offense when when me and my brother are like that like I don't take offense I'm like, this is just how you are. You know what I'm saying? So like I have a very like, um I don't know. I have a like uh understanding. Yeah. Yeah of what this is But I'm saying this one It's like, you know, this is the honest truth it comes when it comes to koreans. Yeah You were the special kind. What you mean by that? I'll tell you because when I I'll go to korea town, right? I'll go to korea town. I go. Yeah, I know that dude is korean. Yeah, but he's not my kind of korean
Starting point is 00:52:49 Do you understand what I'm saying? It's like it's like in terms of like energy and what like david chow Is your is my kind of korean? Yeah when when I first met him. I'm like, uh, we're bread from the same cloth, right? It's yeah, it's like Fucked up something. I don't know what it is. It's a little but it has to do with cultural shit, too It has to do with being korean, right? That the thing the rage or whatever, but there's also something else a stubbornness or something Complex that's mixed in there that when I look at you. I go. That's my fucked up kind of where I see see another korean Dude like at a restaurant or whatever or the puffy jacket or whatever and they have
Starting point is 00:53:31 Pale right there perfect You know, you're right, but I look at you no spots on the face. Yeah, I look at you and it's just from the top Let's just listen from the top of your forehead down to the bottom of your toe. It's just one line of disaster Through the neck organ I'm gonna be honest with you. It's true. I'm the same way I know right I look in the mirror and I go it's just from the top to the bottom something's Going on. Well, look at us. We got gorgeous partners. Smart. Exactly. We're winning. We're winning. You like something
Starting point is 00:54:07 Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're winning. I'm a fiend for this. Yes Because I'll tell you what Jessica your best friend is exactly his kind exactly this kind of korean I've been trained. It's messy korean. Dude. She is not just messy. She is something exactly like that's like a little off You know, and I can't even put it into words, you know, there definitely is We should come up with a tie. We should analyze why But there is something to it, you know Yeah, I I agree with you, you know, unji from chicago. She and I are the same type of korean Is that what you did a podcast with? Yeah, I do. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, you still do. Okay. Yeah, and she's the only
Starting point is 00:54:47 Korean I met that was like that. I was like, oh, you're you're there's something weird. There's out there. Yeah. Yeah, yeah It's a little unhinged. Yeah, it's a little like unpredictable. You know, you're like they could like flash at any Yeah, so it's interesting. You know, I like that kind of energy Um, let's talk about but there are other Asians That aren't korean that I think have it though. Asa is your type of korean. Even though she's japanese Also, Japanese people have it too. Yeah. Yeah, I put here. You know kind of say this is let's not Mince the world The japanese and koreans are the same people. Yes, we are
Starting point is 00:55:25 From both the same from mongolia mongolia. Yeah, right? We are that's why when I did my 23 and me I'm 10 percent japanese. Oh, I see that. Why? Play it out The little air from the bottom of the nose to the upper lip. Yeah, it's very It's very sneaky. There's something going on. That's a sneaky part of your face, man Not to say Japanese people are sneaky, but you know, I'm talking about like like back in the day, right people in pearl harbor And they saw you know me just this part of my mouth I'm like vacationing in hawaii what though
Starting point is 00:56:10 Yeah, yeah, thank you. Yeah, I think that's a compliment. Yeah, you should yeah, so um, there is those kinds Are there filipinos like that? What a type. Yeah, jo koi isn't like that Uh, what do you mean like our type of asia? Oh, no, there's a certain type of of filipino that I really gel with and others That I couldn't be more worlds apart from. Yeah. Um, I actually feel very um I don't feel Like, you know, like kababayan
Starting point is 00:56:40 I don't feel that same feeling with a lot of filipino americans that are very what's that mean? Is that like uh, okay, there's a type of filipino that's family brotherhood Yeah, there's a type of filipino american that comes here Or not that doesn't come here. That's born and raised here that they identify so strongly with being filipino But they actually don't know anything about the filipines never set foot there Um, and those are the people I find to not like I don't really like have anything in common with yeah What about the hardcore filipino conservatives? Oh, there's there's hardcore korean. No, but not like not like what's what's that girl michelle malkin? What's her name?
Starting point is 00:57:17 malkin She's a filipino Republican commentator Oh, right. Yeah. Yeah, she's like no, there is not a korean like that. Let me tell you something No, not in america not in america maybe in korea What you guys have that guy who runs a church where they wear like bullet crowns. Yeah, but that's That's cool. That's dangerous. That's that's our kind of weird. Yeah. Yeah Hold on. He is very he has strong ties to the nra. What the fuck is his name?
Starting point is 00:57:44 He listens to the moonies. He's the son of the moon. Yeah. Yeah, he's korean. He's fine. He's korean fine Quack quack quack quack. We were we were oppressed. Did you find her name michelle malkin? Michelle malkin. I think that's her name, but she's on fox news But don't say what's up with filipino conservatives because that's that's just michelle. No, there are other ones I see That's her name michelle malkin. Yeah. Yeah her occur Damn, I'm glad that I but like who's that guy you were talking about. He's a public figure Yes, he's the son of the moonies. He started that church where like after the parkland shooting in florida
Starting point is 00:58:18 Yeah, he did this like church service where he made everyone bring their rifles He's like a korean pastor and then he they wear crowns made out of bullets. He's probably 10 japanese But he's also but he's also Like what essentially a cult leader. He is a cult leader. Yes, and that right there is what you know When I see a dude like korean dude like that. I know what he's doing Right, it's not like you know his scam. You know, it's about it's having like a small business And he started You're right though because he started this offshoot
Starting point is 00:58:55 What do you call it trade like arms trade? Yeah, yeah, so like he he sells fucking guns and shit Like that's he's that's why he's so closely tied with the nra You have to admit the koreans during the riots When we had our own guns And we were like like on rooftops No, I just was there any other Ethnicity or group that did that what during the during the riots. Well, that was um, I feel like that was very circumstantial because the
Starting point is 00:59:24 the The businesses that were there were korean businesses. Yeah, because I You know, that's why babe. There's actually directly also. They didn't just randomly come from fucking. Oh shit. All right Whittier and they're like, I'm gonna go No, but also they were being targeted because of the fact that that african-american teenage girl Was shot by a Korean lady Korean lady. Oh, yeah And so they are being targeted and I'm gonna say about we've talked about that lady before she's the worst. Fuck you Yeah
Starting point is 00:59:55 You know, you know, it's also I don't think I think those days are over I think back in the remember and back in the early 90s, you know an african-american anybody that's not korean would go into a Korean liquor store. Yeah, and what are the some of the things that korean liquor people would say The like the people that worked at the shop. They would say you touch you by Right. Yeah, no browsing. No, right all these little things. Yeah, but after the riots That's dead. You don't hear that anymore. Yeah Like black people you think it's like a truce like a cultural truce I honestly think that um, I'll be honest with you because I see a lot of black dudes now at the korean
Starting point is 01:00:32 spa Whereas before the riot they weren't hanging out there, right? But now they're allowed to because I think that now koreans are like, all right. Yeah, you'll burn our shit down Yeah, we fucked up. Yeah, we fucked up. Sorry. I think there is some weird like, you know, I mean unsaid truce, right That you you know browse all you want You know what I mean? You want to steam steam?
Starting point is 01:00:57 Dance because they they get naked and they start dancing They play music and then you can see the older korean men try to get into it Right, but they don't want to be but they don't want their shit to be burned down. Yeah. Yeah, there's something there They're forcibly saying No, they put on their ipad pat or pod. They'll play music like al green And black dudes it would be snake a dance and you see the cry are they naked? What are you talking about? That's My favorite are the korean ladies in um, santi alie like los cayones where they you know
Starting point is 01:01:42 Where they have the fashion district there And they couldn't be bothered to ever learn english, but they speak fluent spanish And you're like, what the fuck is it's they just strictly speak spanish and korean Yeah, wow. Yeah, I mean it's a business need. Yeah, it's a business Koreans do anything for money For real like we're scrappy. Yeah, we're scrappy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah um, I also have to say that um, uh I'm gonna say it forget why I was gonna say something that mcligh would be mad at
Starting point is 01:02:16 I cut it. I just cut it out of my mind Oh The subject matter pertain directly to me or is it about somebody else? It has to do with a group of people. Okay, then no If it's about me, you can trash me all day, but not about something. No, I was gonna say something I'm not I'm not I'm trotting around this brains. I was gonna say something I was gonna say something right that I think is funny But in the climate today
Starting point is 01:02:51 I know that we're gonna have to cut it out, right? Yeah. Yeah, and there's still things that I think is funny That I want to do or I want to say That I'm not allowed to say or do Because we live in a very sensitive time period And I think that editing You know, I want to be punk rock And I want to be like fuck it. I live in america freedom of speech But also I have learned
Starting point is 01:03:17 to to edit in my mind and so um Just a smidge because some things that you do say you think are really funny when you say it. I'm like, I know but you I would love to hear it. Can you just you don't think it's funny and you you will adamantly think but I still think it's funny Oh god, I feel like you should say it. Do you guys edit ever or no? No, no No, we're not gonna even say it. Okay, we're not editing. We're not bleeping or nothing Okay, good and that's nothing to do what you think it is
Starting point is 01:03:46 It was it's an offshoot of a thought that I had and I was gonna throw it out there It is isn't about a group of asian people. It has to do with the group of other Okay, and that's what if it was asian I would say it Oh, okay. All right. Yeah, but since it's not I'm gonna cut it out. Okay because I don't need All right, enough talk about it because we have to cut this shit out too. No, we don't Okay, no, we don't edit. No. Yeah, good. All right, but it has to do with Not people with sombreros. All right. Okay. So do you have a um, what are we at the time wise? We're over an hour Okay, but listen, um
Starting point is 01:04:21 peter I hope you know, you know We truly think that you're a very funny guy And um, you are family here. You're my kind of korean. Okay, and I do I love I love you even though um You know, I find your behavior abomination Do you know one time when we were writing together he asked me about gay sex and I was Explaining it to him and it was like as if a baby like first
Starting point is 01:04:54 opened its eyes It was like All this information. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I learned. Do you not have any other gay friends? You know, here's the thing with me. He dated a lesbian for like years. Yeah, but that's different No, here's the thing with me is that um, I do have a lot of gay friends I've worked with a lot of the gays as well Um the community I've hung and I was your best gay friend Can't say
Starting point is 01:05:22 Oh, I can't I can't say because he's in the closet. I just can't say then he's not your best gay friend Or they have like an older generation Yes, okay. I mean I get that Well, my generation is that older? Yeah. Yes No He talking about you and I are definitely in different generations. I know I know I know I know but Can I just be honest with you? I don't feel
Starting point is 01:05:52 Like I'm in an older generation Okay, no, no, don't okay me. All right. I'm just saying that like, you know I just don't feel like, you know, like I'm older than everyone in the room, but I guess I am Do I look like it? No, you don't look like it. Well, then there you go. And you don't act like it You just have uh, you I get it. That's why I'm saying like because if it's from your generation, you would have less openly gay friends It makes sense. That's true. That makes sense. I think that for our generation It would be damn near impossible to find someone who didn't have a close gay friend It'd be almost like you're doing it on purpose. Yeah, right. Well, here's the thing. Yeah, exactly. Like oh in LA
Starting point is 01:06:36 Yeah Everyone's gay in LA. I know and also appears a thing though. I don't I'm not I've never Been fucking weird about it Like It sounds like you have No, I'm just saying though that like, you know, you know when we were I was on mad, right tv They would go to the abbey. I would go. I have nothing. I don't when I'm in a gay bar. I have no like, you know, I'll tweet I'm in the abbey. I don't give a fuck, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I have no shame about it, right? Take a photo
Starting point is 01:07:07 Yeah, I'll do it with them, you know with the leather and all that, right? But it's like, um You know, I have gay friends not close but a lot of comics that are yeah But also secondly, I have a lot of a couple of muslim friends Okay Like friends go down This shows your age right now This is what shows your age. No, it doesn't show my age and when people say this it's so ridiculous
Starting point is 01:07:31 Because you're telling me that back in my day, there was that kind of divisiveness and yet our president of is the king of that No, no, no The have the having to prove that you have a black friend that you have a gay friend or a muslim friend It's just something that like I feel like doesn't really come out of our mouth because it's like yeah, duh Yeah, yeah, yeah, but that's not that's not true because you you're only in that situation because you live in LA Yeah, that's what I'm saying. We live in LA. Yeah, but it's like I understand that but if you go to Anywhere else in the midwest or south or whatever, right? Yeah, you ask any like especially a guy that's You know that leans very right, right?
Starting point is 01:08:10 Do you have a muslim friend? I bet your money. They say no well also because there's not a lot of muslims hanging around in no No, no, no, no No, no No Well, not a lot. I should take that back. There's more white people. Everyone has an opportunity, right? To have a relationship with everyone Regardless of where you are in the united states. This is the 2019. Okay. Yeah, if people choose Not to because they don't want to change the world view
Starting point is 01:08:42 Yeah, their world view is a certain way, right, right muslims attacked 9 11 Whatever their mentality is right and they refuse to even befriend anybody Because they don't want to learn about a different culture or how they really are Yeah, right whereas we all know in this room. It doesn't matter. Yeah, you know, I have No, no matter what you what you identify with Gay straight les, you know trans Mexican black whatever
Starting point is 01:09:13 Korean Vietnamese duck Goose Doctors We're all just literally just The same species except for ducks, you know Ducks are also rapists Don't do that
Starting point is 01:09:32 Don't make out the same accusation. Okay, so get one helpful one helpful advice with barbie khalilah at peter kim I wanted to ask you guys an odd question Recently I watched the new netflix show called you a series about an obsessive psychopath that stalks a woman and murders Anyone that gets in the way of their relationship I found myself so aroused with the guys After finishing the season of the show I was so drawn to him and often fantasized about the character being obsessed with me and in love with me Then I watched the ted bundy tapes. I heard of them before but after watching that series
Starting point is 01:10:04 It was like I fell in love with him too Even after knowing what he did to all those people I had developed a crush on him and fantasized about him I often pictured him and I having sex in his cell I began to think romantically about the psychopaths and then thought is there something wrong with me Is it normal for a young woman like me to be aroused or drawn to what everyone considers to be sickos? Does this make me a sicko too? Thank you guys. Long time listener. Love you There's there's actually a lot of literature about women that date men specifically
Starting point is 01:10:36 In prison or like people who are like murderers or show that type of like very like aggression Um, and I think that what it says is like some women have a very like they tap into their most like primal state of wanting a Manly aggressive dominant male Um, and um, I think that maybe you're tapping into that a little bit also I mean, I want that but I don't want him to kill people exactly But also like imagine I think that there's a sense of someone feeling special when this guy's killing and hates everyone But he turns for me. He turns into a ball of mush for me
Starting point is 01:11:12 Okay, you know, so you're like there's that side where you're like he is that except around me. Yeah, so I'm special extra special Oh, that's a special kind of narcissism. Oh possibly, you know, like I mean, I get that I get I get the inkling of like danger Um I have a line though. Yeah, if I knew someone was killing I don't know if I could not but this is a fantasy. So it's like let's not yes I also think that fantasies have no barriers
Starting point is 01:11:48 Yeah, and you should be able like even though like I don't you can't judge a person by The porn that they watch Sure Or what makes their dick hard because I feel like that's a completely separate thing from real life So if it's just a fantasy, there's nothing wrong with you. Yeah being dominated by Ted Bundy. That's fine. Yeah I've I bet you millions of women have that did Bobby shut down I don't know he's in sleep mode. Let me. Oh, okay. He's just preparing for a very very very profound answer Okay, okay. It's your turn, babe. Go
Starting point is 01:12:29 It's always Richard Ramirez or Ted Bundy. Do you know why? Because they're cuties. They are handsome guys Okay, but it's like it's never You know Ed Gein Ed Gein or or or the cloud the clown the clown Yeah, what was the clown ones name? Well, I mean were they all it's Chicago you would dress up as a clown He had he had Casey. Yeah, John Wayne's Casey. Right. It's it's it's it's first of all the serial killer has to be Attracted hot. Yeah, like that one. Uh, Sarnaya. What's that guy from Boston the bomb bombing? Oh, yeah, that's uh, the young kid
Starting point is 01:13:07 Yeah, Sarnaya brother. He was on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine What he was. Yeah, they put him on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Why behind bars or something if he was ugly Right, he would not but he's he looks like you know the basis of the strokes Right, like he looks so cute, right? Yeah, so it's all about the look number one. It's true. Number two. It's like Aline Warnos, you know, I was ready to say that Yeah, Aline Warnos, I would know would never have a son, but if she'd look like Natalie Portman like a femme fatale. Yeah, then it'd be like Oh, maybe Yeah, right. But still at the end of the day
Starting point is 01:13:43 If they have the capability To kill somebody how can you sleep at night? Yeah, I don't know about that even if the professor love for you Yeah, and you go good night, baby. They're like good night. Do you put the cut your seat? It'd be like Yeah Right, I mean, yeah, you would not ever sleep. You'd be the lightest sleeper Good night. Yeah, he turns a little bit. Where are you going? You're not gonna kill are you?
Starting point is 01:14:13 Are you gonna murder? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I would I'd be scared. Yeah. Yeah, I would be yeah I'm just making a sandwich. Are you just using a knife? Yeah, right. I mean every turn you would be you know and also You know, you have a girl right that does that and then like you text her and she doesn't text you back Yeah, and then like three hours later. She comes back and she looks like she went to the gym But she's not wearing her gym clothes or her gym bag. You go. What were you doing? How's this out with some friends? Right, I mean, yeah, you know that she's doing the shit that's fucked up, right? So I don't know so get that out
Starting point is 01:14:50 Yeah, give me another That's it for questions. That's it. You got one you want a relationship question. No, I don't want a relationship one That was a cool question. That was a very good one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We'll call her l. Good job. Thank you That was a good Yeah, it's just a fantasy baby. Um So we're leaving the country, um Wish us luck peter wait, what are you guys going for a family philippines again? But you guys are all going to
Starting point is 01:15:16 To george gilbert was definitely invited but he can't because of pilot season because we're competing with each other Oh, no, you should go Leave tomorrow Do you guys go for the same roles? I don't think once maybe I yeah, maybe once. Yeah Is there a lot out there or no? No, that's for me. I mean, no Oh, how many times have you there's a lot out there? It's a lot of east asian so a lot of chinese everyone's doing a crazy rich asian tv show It's kind of annoying because I they look at me last because they want someone chinese or korean or japanese
Starting point is 01:15:50 It's hot right now ken jung just came out with his special Netflix Do you see that? Yeah You watch it Is it good Uh, it was good It was okay. Yeah It was fine. I've heard other people talk about it. You have yeah, are you gonna watch it?
Starting point is 01:16:09 Maybe okay. I think we should watch it together. It does not threaten me. Whatever you're trying to do right now No, I think we could learn something. Yeah. Yeah, I'm sorry. Can I just say this though? Can I just say I'm sorry Let me just say this to you though. What just as a defense, okay? Is is that um, I've never done a special. You know that right? I was gonna say you just final thoughts because you guys didn't talk about Jesse Smollon people were asking the tiger belly take on a quick one. Do you have a quick rundown of that? What's your what's Kalilah's take? You know, I was already a little sus from the go from the get go Oh, really? Yeah, just because it's like who the hell is gonna mosey around for a subway sandwich during a polar vortex in street In street film. Yeah. Yeah. So I was already very I kind of wanted to keep mum about it And I was hoping that what he was saying was true, but it just seemed so Like it seemed like a
Starting point is 01:18:00 It sucks because that might actually happen to a lot of people And I hate that he had to orchestrate that and I'm just so sick and by it and also he didn't even orchestrate it well You know what I'm saying like that letter that threatening letter. Yeah, so corny. I was like, what is this 1998? This feels like a fucking Mary Kate and Ashley It's so late like I hated and then he paid a check apparently like a personal check for Training for training. Yeah, and which is his text messages corroborate it But it's like I could talk in code too with my friends. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I also just think he did a really sloppy job I mean hiring two black men. I know say maga like come on get anyone
Starting point is 01:18:45 Yeah, there's so many white people on the north side that would have taken that fucking Yeah, there's a bunch of improvisers. I would have done that They're starving for my mega mega go mega He didn't stop and consider how many like broke young white artists there are in Chicago It would take that 3,500 you probably thought that they would like squeal on him or something Oh god, but I mean those guys probably did I think they did. Yeah Oh, they straight up. Uh, yeah, it's a mess. Bobby's not too familiar with it I try to explain it to him and he was like, oh that sucks. And then he just walked away. I'd be into that story
Starting point is 01:19:22 Yeah, he wasn't in on it. He didn't know about it from the start. He's just catching up now So Terrence Howard is not happy. No, well, Terrence Howard What do you mean? Like I thought he was in full support of him. He put a video out but apparently on set like the whole like Caster could like confront to Justin. Hey, he he's not in the last two episodes anymore I know like they they wrote him off right quickly. Then he tried to like ask his job back But he went back to filming, right? Yeah, immediately after he got released like that's so awkward. What's that set like? Everyone's like So just yeah, yeah, yeah, they're like trying to jump mega
