And he just, the whole ride, he just kept like mugging me. And I was like, you know Bobby? Yeah, maybe work out that bit later. you know, it's not big. You've never that they baked beans like you're a little sweeter Mmm, I think Mexican me. It's high made. He's like the canned American. Yeah, those are like beans. I kinds high ends Yeah, I don't eat those beans. Oh, you like them cuz you have to fry them again. Yeah. Yeah, once he fries it again He loves it Once you get that second fry second run eat, what's that chili called? The red?
Starting point is 00:02:48 Habanero? No, the chili. Tambatillo? Tambatillo. The canned chili. Jaime, can you not? Hormel's? No, the red one.
Starting point is 00:02:57 The red one. The red one. Sometimes you, just cause you have an idea of a question doesn't mean you have to like, like work it out before you come here dude. I mean we're not like Wikipedia. Wolf chili. Oh no never even heard of that before.
Starting point is 00:03:14 The most random, we've never had wolf chili dude. Yeah wolf chili, look it up. Look up wolf chili. Have you heard of wolf, anyone in the room have you heard of wolf chili? Never in my life. Never in my life. And I'm a chili fan. Oh that kind of, like chili chili. Have you heard of wolf? Anyone in the room? Have you heard of wolf chili? Never in my life. Oh oh, you don't eat beans Oh, no, he has his own beans and he puts in there. Yeah, my own Mexican beans. Yeah
Starting point is 00:03:49 Do you know how to cook? Yeah, I know how to cook spaghetti with meatballs Dude, you're turning into a perfect circle almost your body. I She told me I look good in this weather. Yeah Are you guys both fight for your point of view yeah like give me yeah cuz what I seen right now is a circle what shape what shape do you see if there's a shape what's the shape like like what say okay yeah a pair a pair a pair that's not bad hair as well. That's not bad. That's not bad. A pair as well. Yeah. That's not bad. Yeah. Yeah. He looks cool. Yeah. Let me sit up straight.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Juicy pair What kind of sweatshirt is that? Mac the 18-wheeler trucks? The brand? No, can I can I can you stand up for a second? I want to see the Oh, yeah, I have no idea what it is. Mac? Yeah. I have no idea what it is Mac. Yeah, I have no idea what that man Mac looks like a telescope to who looks like a dog. What do we do? What do you mean to who? Let's sit down for second. I said it looks like a telescope and you said to who he's like and I say to scientists And I say to scientists. Are you a scientist now?
Starting point is 00:05:06 To scientists. You know what I mean? They use telescopes. Yeah, they do. And microscopes. But nobody's a scientist here. It's almost as if we're in different dimensions. It's interesting.
Starting point is 00:05:22 And planes of existence. That's a misconception. You're a little feisty today, huh? Yeah, planes of existence. Yeah. That's a misconception. You're a little feisty today, huh? Yeah, I'm mad. Why? Not because of the frontier airlines. Yeah, yeah, tell me about the Asian man putting his head on your shoulder.
Starting point is 00:05:34 He was cool. Yeah, yeah. What are you mad about? I'm not sexually frustrated or anything like that. Oh my God, now we're in for a fucking spoonful. Go ahead. I don't know if I want a spoonful. No, it's because like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You slow it, slow it. I're in for a fucking spoonful Yeah, you slow it slow it I don't want to hold spoonful
Starting point is 00:05:53 Let's get a little dab of it. Yeah a little dab start with a dab and then what get into it the story Why I'm mad Yeah, like slow into Into it. So I love watching the show Ozarks on Netflix. Yeah, great show I I love it and I was showing it to me and my like group of friends and they tuned out after like the first episode because they're like, it's too slow. I was like, kind of like that. They just be on their phone. I'm like, dude, put the phone down and enjoy this show. They only look up when something like spontaneous.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Sure, they want like, you know, like George recommended that show Slow Horses. And after about an episode, I texted him and I go, this show is so slow. And right, this and that. Yeah. You called me at 10 30. I was asleep already because I was having kids. He called me at 10 30 and I got a phone call. You know that show you recommended? It sucks. Then at 2 AM, I got another text. Actually, it's pretty OK. Just patience.
Starting point is 00:06:54 What episode did you turn? I think in the second episode. Do you see the movie? Have you seen that show? Gary Oldman's in it, right? Yeah. Well, because there's a couple of things I wasn't unsure of. It didn't make any sense to me. And then once it was in it, right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Well, because there's a couple of things that I wasn't unsure of.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Like it didn't make any sense to me. And then once it was cleared up, I was like, oh, okay, now I understand what's going on. Okay, well, I have to get into specifics then. Yeah, go ahead. In the beginning, there was like this, I don't even, I can't even explain it. Let's move on.
Starting point is 00:07:19 It's too much of a thing. It's too much of a thing. It's boring. But yeah, I know what Ozarks is, dude. You have to fucking, I know what it is. I've seen it. It's a good show. Yeah, yeah, boring. Yeah, I know what Ozarks is, dude. You don't have to fucking, I know what it is. I've seen it, it's a good show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, your friends don't have any patience.
Starting point is 00:07:29 They don't. And they don't know what good, slow burning dramas are, right? You like slow burning dramas, don't you? Like this past weekend, me and Ralph just watched Civil War the new one The first 824 film 824 film. Yeah, what give me a review? I don't like the ending. Oh You wanted Trump to win that wasn't Trump doesn't Nick Offerman
Starting point is 00:08:04 She Bobby I know but it was that was Nick off right it was Nick you got me to it was Nick Offerman Right. It wasn't Donald Trump. Yeah, I You got me, dude. It was Nick Offerman, right? It wasn't Donald Trump. Yeah, I used to say that the character was maybe, he was sort of like, that's him, maybe, right? Yeah. A Republican, a president who's third term. Yeah, I mean, we only watched like 30 minutes of it because that's how we caught. Wait, you didn't see the whole thing?
Starting point is 00:08:22 No, we watched it on the hotel TV. So you saw the end of it. So you didn't see it. We. No, we watched the on the hotel TV and you saw the end of it We didn't see it. We saw that one scene with that Hong Kong, dude The one you told me about were you from Florida? South Carolina, I'm from Hong Kong Yeah, that one. What's that? Remember the dude the news reporter and then Jesse Plumman's character was like what part of America you from and they're saying like Florida Texas yeah, like name is very specific state. So like, what part of America are you from? And they're saying like Florida, Texas,
Starting point is 00:08:45 like name a very specific state so you're in part of the faction. The other guy goes, Hong Kong? I didn't see that. You did a whole bit on this show about it. That's what I did. Yes you did. It's a very viral clip.
Starting point is 00:08:59 If it's viral, pull it up. If it's viral, pull it up. I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about. I remember. That's why I'm saying. And I said Hong up. I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about. I remember. That's why I'm saying. And I said Hong Kong. I didn't say Hong Kong. The guy says Hong Kong, but you did it
Starting point is 00:09:09 where he had a very harsh Asian accent. Oh, I said. Okay. If it's viral, can you find it? I got to find it within the podcast. All right, sorry. But yeah. But yeah what?
Starting point is 00:09:22 But yeah what? But yeah. Yeah, it's But yeah what? But yeah. Yeah it's a good movie I guess. You didn't see it? I just saw it 30 minutes ago. Yeah. I think the whole movie was pretty good. It's fun. Yeah. Although I don't believe that it would ever happen in this country.
Starting point is 00:09:36 A civil war. I can't see Americans shooting other Americans. I mean it has happened. But... Yeah. Hundreds of years ago. Yeah but... Could it happen again? I don't think it can happen again because at the end of the day it's like I can't kill anybody. I feel like you would. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:09:53 Wait yeah why do you think? Like who would I kill? You think you can be driven to killing someone? Who would I kill Jules? If needed if like someone's shooting at him I feel like he would shoot. Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah that situation sure, but it's like if we see like you know I mean You know like dude running credit, and he's like he's got a MAGA hat on I've got a shotgun I'm not gonna go kill him. You know I mean I guess for defense no I'm gonna go hey, man Please do it. I'm kidding. I'm in the middle. Could you kill somebody? No. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Is he here? I think he's here. I got to get him. Say one of your say someone has your sister and they're threatening her life. Oh, yeah. You do have it in you too. I feel like I could. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:35 You think if you were stabbed like 20 times, you think you'd die? Yeah. 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times.
Starting point is 00:10:43 I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a person who's been stabbed like 20 times. I've seen a think if you were stabbed like 20 times you think you'd die Yeah, 20 times I've seen a person in my neighborhood get stabbed 21 times you saw oh it's a story going around the neighborhood You can live from 20 stabs He's he you can live from 20 stamps that sounds Jaime said he saw someone in his neighborhood get stabbed 20 times and they survived really. Yeah. Okay good Congratulations, I have no idea what you're talking about, but um, you don't have a good memory
Starting point is 00:11:24 Well, I didn't test them then well, I mean I mean I I podcast a lot so I just just don't even know what's said and what not said. So, you believe in the death penalty? Yes. I know I've never asked you that. No, you haven't? Yeah. Yes, I believe in it. You believe in it?
Starting point is 00:11:35 Yeah. It depends on what the crime is. Oh, yeah, I'll give you the crime. Okay. I walk into a convenience store. I have gasoline. Okay. Right, but just for my own self Okay, it's just my own private gasoline. All right. I'm gonna use it later for what put in my car. Okay? Okay, good so far pretty good. So pretty good. So right, so I have the red canisters, right?
Starting point is 00:12:00 Yes, and I'm like, hey, can I get a lighter from the convenience store? Cuz I want to smoke a cigarette. Okay, but then like a little bit of the gasoline spill, you know spilling, right? And I'm like, hey, can I get a lighter from the convenience store? Because I want to smoke a cigarette. But then like a little bit of the gasoline spilling, right? And I go, is this lighter work? And I light it, right? And then it slips out of my hand. And for some reason it catches the gas. Was he here? I'll get him. Oh, guess we'll never know. We'll never know. You'll never know. You're guilty. Jules, how do you think he, where was he going with that? You know him well. That he puts, he accidentally like drops the thing, the lighter, and then it explodes and then like kills other people. Kills like a family. Wow. So death penalty? Death penalty. Really? Even on accident? You're too dumb to live. Yeah, yeah. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:12:53 What's the matter? I guess splitting up together was her favorite show. Jaime said that. And Oliver made it very clear. There's no world where I believe it. Did you tell him what your favorite show was? What is your favorite show? Splitting Up. Splitting Up. Splitting Up. Splitting Up Together.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Well, explain to me and Ollie, because I know you're a fan. You want to put those cans on all? Yeah, I'm just looking left, right, or if there is a left, right. What does T stand for?
Starting point is 00:13:19 I don't know, but I think it's fine. For titties. There you go. Oh my god, Bobby. You hear me? Yeah, I can hear you. Explain to us what splitting up together was about. Yeah, give us a plot.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Yeah. I mean, it is your favorite show. It is your favorite show, go ahead. That was, Jaime told us. Explain it to us, what it is. If you can just make a guess. Make a guess, guess it out, guess it out. This is a good game.
Starting point is 00:13:40 It's a good exercise. Based on the title, what do you think it's about. Okay, a couple. Yeah. Yes. With a daughter and a son. Yes. Interesting. Okay. a good game based on the title yeah yeah yeah okay a couple yeah yes with a daughter and a son yes interesting okay I think you are married and then you decided to split up right yeah but still be friends and I think you were living in the basement close pretty fucking close pretty good and bad pretty close your best friends with Tito Bobby.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Yes. Yes. Yes, this is true. That's pretty dead on. Yeah, except there were three kids. Okay, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There were three kids and it was a guest house. Not the basement. Okay, that's right. But that's still pretty good. So it is your favorite show. That was the show.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Oh my god, look at us. Look at us. How long ago was that? A hundred years show. Oh my God, look at us. Look at us. Look at you. How long ago was that? A hundred years ago. Oh my God, five years ago? No, seven years ago? Yeah, look at Monica. You know what she did after that? Top Gun. Top Gun.
Starting point is 00:14:31 No, I know. Remember Top Gun Maverick? Yeah. Remember? Oh my God. Look at us. She went from that to the real show. No, this is a good show.
Starting point is 00:14:40 And then Mike McDonald's. You tried to roast it? Yeah, I tried to roast my own. Yeah, Mike McDonald's there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lindsay and then Jenna, who's quit acting. Did she? Well, because she has that podcast.
Starting point is 00:14:51 I know, maybe. And she's made more than you, even. Whoa, dude. Yeah. That was fucking deep, dude. That's true. She has. She really has.
Starting point is 00:15:02 More than you. Yeah, I mean, you know, I have two. So you know. No, I know. But her one beats your two. That's the. She has. She's better than you. Yeah, I mean, you know, I have two, so you know. No, I know, but her one beats your two. That's the whole point. Does it beat sibling rivalry? No, no, no. We kind of fucked up.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Wait, you don't do it every week, right? No, I basically do it now. I mean, Kate does participate. When we started four years ago, I think we had an opportunity to be something. I don't think my sister quite understood how much money could be made in space. And I was like, come on, come on. But you know, my sister, she's big, she's doing movies, she's got brands,
Starting point is 00:15:34 she's got companies. This was not high up on the totem pole, you know what I mean? And I said, well, look at Bobbie Lee now. So you do it on your own now? No, she participates, but I'm just doing the heavy, heavy. Well, it's a great idea. It's a great show. I've done it.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I did it with my brother. It is good. My brother, Steven, I did it. That was early, early. Early on in the early days? Yes. So who are the guests you've had? Well, well.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Give me the biggies. Well, you. No, no, no. Give me the biggies. Well, you. No, no, no. Give me the biggies. You know, well, Glenn Powell, before he was big, we had the Kardashians, the Jenners, you know, that old deal. You didn't come over?
Starting point is 00:16:19 No, they came over. That was before COVID. The Kardashians came. Yeah, so before COVID, it was fun. Sit in a room like this and do it and then COVID comes and now it's all on Zoom and it just didn't have the same shit. It's hard. You know? Yeah. And nowadays, guests, everyone's been on a thousand podcasts. I know. So it doesn't even matter. It doesn't matter. It's not, there's no draw. There is. There's a draw. But for who?
Starting point is 00:16:43 Who's the biggest draw? If you had someone on right now other than Theo, you know, Oh, right, right, right, right, right. which is, by the way, to be fair. Right, right, right, right. Why are you smiling, Alex? La, la, la, la, la, la, la, Robin Hood Gold!

Starting point is 00:20:09 Every time we talk, I'm like, dude, you're fucking rolling now. And you're like, no, it's not that good. It's not that good. From a success standpoint, from a fame standpoint, this is a whole different Bobby Lee. Oh, well, I mean, God bless you for saying it. I mean, honestly, I don't, you're great too. No I'm not. What was that? It's probably hard to take compliment. No no no no. You're great. You can't say you're great? I think I'm great. Look at your body of work. I haven't worked in two fucking years. Who has? Nobody. Exactly. I mean some people.
Starting point is 00:20:45 It's the one, one percent maybe. Glenn Powell. Glenn Powell. Glenn Powell. He made it. Austin Butler. He made it. Austin Butler.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Butler's been working. Butler's been working. My brother. Your brother. My sister. My whole family. Okay, do you know what that does to me? You know what that does to me psychologically?
Starting point is 00:21:04 I haven't seen your brother in anything. Why in a while? He did Godzilla, which you should have seen. He was good in that. I did see that. He did that. He was good in that. He's doing the second one.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, he's always, he just did a Marvel movie. Right, but you're better looking, let's be honest. Yeah, fine. But it's not making me any money. But listen, can I say something? Yeah. That sitcom you did with better looking, let's be honest. Yeah, fine. Okay, okay. But it's not making me any money. But listen, can I say something? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:28 That sitcom you did with Spade, what was it called? Rules of Engagement. Rules of Engagement, how long did that go? Seven years. Holy moly, dude. Yeah, but all that money is gone. I spent all that. Well, how?
Starting point is 00:21:39 Because I didn't know what I was doing. I had no financial idea. I was like, oh shit, money? Like, I guess I'll buy this. Yeah, and I also know this what I was doing. I had no financial idea. I was like, oh shit, money? Like, I guess I'll buy this. And I also know this about you, Ollie. And I have a million kids that call me that. You have a lot of kids. But you're also doing behind the scenes.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Yes. And you're killing it in that. Yeah, it's been fun. Yeah, so that's a good thing. I have a producing deal at Fox. We're creating shows. I know. It's been a blast.
Starting point is 00:22:02 That won't pay off until later on, but it doesn't matter. From a creative standpoint, it's been really, really fun. Yeah, here's the deal. I'm working. You're a talent guy, nice, super nice. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Handsome. Thank you. Right? Versatile, I think you're versatile. I can, I can do a lot of things. I know you can. I know there's a lot of things you can do. You can do drama, act.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yes. Yeah, like comedy. Yes. You're good comedy, right? Yeah. You wanted me to do, you were like, the comedies were gonna do five minutes when we were doing, splitting up together.
Starting point is 00:22:33 I still think you can do it. Absolutely not. It's too scary. Well, I did a movie in Montana last month and the two actors, the leads of it, were like, wow, that's scary. It's the same thing. And so I booked a theater there just to go up
Starting point is 00:22:47 and I made them go up. And now they continued, they've been doing it ever since. They loved it. They've been doing it. One guy still lives in Montana. He still does it like two or three times a week. And the other guy that lives in LA has been doing it a bunch of times, so it's like.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Did they have material or they just? I just made them go up. Yeah. And one of them tried to escape and I blocked the door like this. That's so messed up. Because it was like, so there was a door, the stage, and he couldn't get through and he said his name. I go, you're doing it.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Yeah. He was like sweating. I don't wanna do it. I go, you said. Yeah, I think I could go up for five minutes with no material and be okay. The minute something is written and I have to sort of come up with bits and da da da,
Starting point is 00:23:30 that's where you lose me. I'm an off the cuff kind of a person. So if I have to go up there and just talk about my life and talk about all the great shit. Okay, so if we said, Oliver, can you do a TED Talk about raising a family? I mean, yeah, I guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Would you be scared? No, probably not. And let me ask you this. If I wouldn't have cue cards, I'd just go. Right, and let me ask you this. Yeah. And if I was the TED Talk producer, the guy that was running the event,
Starting point is 00:23:55 I was like, oh, so I know it's a TED Talk, but can you just humor it up a little bit? Mm-hmm, yeah. Would you be able to do that? Yeah. Then what's the difference? Well, because I guess there's not, but then how long can I sustain that
Starting point is 00:24:07 without writing something and having some sort of a flow or structure to what I'm doing? But silence is okay. No, I know, so I just get up there and just be quiet. I mean, silence? I know. But I'm just saying, I think what I even have discovered about myself is that Peter Kim came out to see me last night
Starting point is 00:24:30 because I'm finally doing a special. Oh, great. Yeah, and so he's coming out to help me. Where are you shooting it? We don't know. The deal just closed, but we don't know any of it. And he goes, there needs to be a lot more mindfulness and also it's got to be a lot more mindfulness and also it's gotta be more heartfelt
Starting point is 00:24:47 and you have to sort of get your ideas out there and you're relying too much on the laugh and just to sit in the uncomfortability of it, right? And I'm like, you know, it makes sense and now it's hard, like I have two shows tonight and it's gonna be hard to do, but I wanna be more mindful about that. But so it's like not always about, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:25:07 I think in your mind you're like, it's gotta get. No, no, no, no, without a doubt. I wouldn't be a joke teller. I would be a storyteller. You kind of look like the Joker. Oh, is that good or bad? I don't know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:17 I don't know. Which Joker? Which Joker? There's Jack Nicholson. No, more of a Joaquin Phoenix. Joaquin Phoenix. Yeah, yeah. He's hot. What? He's hot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But doesn't he have sort of like a, you know what I mean? It's Jack Nicholson. No more of a Joaquin Phoenix. He's hot. He's hot.
Starting point is 00:25:26 But doesn't he have sort of like a, you know what I mean? It's got a lot of... Joker things. There's a really dark person inside of this body at times. I know there is. Yeah, you do. We're also similar in so many ways. You started smoking. Oh, good. We're very similar too.
Starting point is 00:25:44 I didn't know you were smoking again. Are you fucking? I've been smoking for a year. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, yeah, I was smoking for a year again. Yeah, I did like a liver cleanse three weeks ago. Pretty good. I've been drinking my fucking face off.
Starting point is 00:25:57 So I'm trying. Oh, no. I'm not in a bad way. I mean, I'm not, well. You're sorrows? Maybe I'm an alcoholic. No, it's not sorrows, it's just patterns where I just feel better when I'm not in a bad way, I mean I'm not, well. Your sorrows? Maybe I'm an alcoholic, I know. It's not sorrows, it's just patterns where I just feel better when I'm drinking. That sounds, not alcoholism, it's just,
Starting point is 00:26:12 I feel better when I'm not in reality. Yay, oh, I see, I see, I see, I see. So there's a difference. Can I ask you some personal questions about it or no? Yeah, of course. All right, so do you drink every night? Well, recently no, but yeah, I was drinking every night. And just beers or?
Starting point is 00:26:29 No, liquor. Liquor. Yeah, liquor. Like you're at home. At home, so it was like a five o'clock situation, standard, finish the day, feel accomplished, I've earned it. I'll sit down in my chair, open up my computer. What kind of chair, is it leather?
Starting point is 00:26:43 No, it's like this, these are like sort of club chairs. I got like a nice little bar area. So you have a little bar? I like the room a lot. Oh, so you have a room at home? I have a room with a bar and it's like, it's kind of sexy. It's dad's room. Yeah, and I can sit in it and I can fucking put them back.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Smoking jacket? You know, but I'll maybe go have cigarettes outside, but if I don't, I'll have dip. Yeah, yeah. I'll put some tobacco in outside, but if I don't I'll have dip. Yeah, yeah some tobacco in And just pouch or used to be long long used to be long cut now I went pouch because it was just easier to deal with. Yeah. Yeah. No, we pouch we put we pouched on We pouched right so then at five o'clock you know, here's the thing I can't just have two
Starting point is 00:27:21 It's like boom. That's gone. That one's gone. That one's gone. And then it's been seven, eight drinks. Does violence start? No, no. I'm super chill. I just love it. I'm laughing and I'm like emailing my friends and calling random people.
Starting point is 00:27:37 I'm like, yeah, that's fucking awesome. Then I had around nine o'clock, so a good solid four hours. I'll go upstairs, probably take a shower and smoke a big joint and get in bed. Make love sometimes. Yeah, make love. Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely make love.
Starting point is 00:27:51 You have a beautiful wife. She's pretty. I'm singing in a heterosexual way. No, it's okay. You can want to, you know. Heterosexual way? Heterosexual. I don't know what I was saying yet,
Starting point is 00:28:00 but I'm just saying it as a gay way. You're saying in a gay way. Yeah, yeah, I'm singing in a gay way, but no, you have a beautiful wife. Hold on, I want to go back to something really quickly, because I think this is important with your special about this sort of direction. Wait, wait, stop.
Starting point is 00:28:14 No, no, because I don't want to lose the thought. You are a very sensitive, deep person who probably uses comedy to amass a lot of your pain like everyone else does, right? That's 101. Boo. Yeah, but I think I heard you on Theo's show, because I listened to one when I was coming over just to sort of understand what I was getting into. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:34 In this new era of Bobby. I don't know if you've gone off the rails, all that money's made you a little, I don't know. No, I'm just going with it. Yeah, but you had some serious moments in that Theo conversation. I was like damn He needs to sort of dig into the depth of who he is and I think it would make you Even better than you are okay, okay Let me say something when you went from showing but holes to showing your still show the but holes. No you don't It might still bandit
Starting point is 00:29:01 Well, you've made it. I can't say that. I can't say that out loud because illegally, but I'm banned from a certain company. Okay. A certain company, so I'm not allowed in any other premises for another year. I think the year's almost over. Yeah, and for showing the inside of my butthole. It's long.
Starting point is 00:29:17 It happens within the year. So no. Okay. Proof, no. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. No, I still do those other things, but it's like, you know, like when I did
Starting point is 00:29:24 Ray and Wilson's podcast, you know what I mean, we were very vulnerable. I talked about spirituality and stuff like that. And even with, you know, sometimes bad friends will sometimes get into it, but it's a comedy podcast. But, you know, I'm not closed off in terms of that, but it's like, what are you saying? Just let your vulnerability shine through. Maybe cry for three minutes. Bro, if you started this show... Spotlight. Spotlight. No comedy. You just bring up tears and start crying for three minutes. Do we have a director? Do we have a director? That's fucking genius. Black stage. I can see it, right? Spotlight. Some somber music.
Starting point is 00:30:04 You know what I mean? Piano, right?. Yes some somber music. Yeah, you're a piano, right? Yeah. Yeah, and I turn into the crowd Do we need yeah, no, and maybe just quiet But the thing is you got to let it fucking play out. I'm talking Minutes of you just sitting and then all of a sudden It's a light right? I'm looking on the ground right? Yeah some music. Do I say anything like hello there? No Already you want to say something. It's just what hello there's not funny. No, you just it say anything like, hello there? No. Oh, yeah. Already you want to say something. It's just quiet. What, hello there's not funny?
Starting point is 00:30:27 No, you just, it's just quiet. How is hello there? That's just a, cause there's a packed room. No, they're the ones. Do that after the tears. After the tears. Yeah, after the tears. Oh, that's the line.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Right, that's the name of the show. Hold on. After the tears is the name of your special. Action. You can't laugh. Sorry. You can't, honestly you can't laugh. He's doing commentary while you're doing it. I know, but you can't laugh. Sorry. Honestly, you can't laugh.
Starting point is 00:30:45 He's doing commentary while you're doing it. I know, but you can't laugh, dude, because I don't think I can do it already. You already got that. All right, ready? How about you guide him? You can. I need some sort of music. Or how about you give him some prompts.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Jaime? You want some sad? You do some emotional music. You mean acapella, however you want to do it. Because I know you can bring the tears. Okay. Shut the fuck up, dude. I can't.
Starting point is 00:31:04 I've never done it. You can. All right, ready? How horrible. Just go to do it. Because I know you can bring the tears. Okay. I've never done it. You can. All right ready? Go to it. Just go to a play. All right so go to a play. I can sing for you. I know dude. You're the actor. You have to say action. And spotlight up. Light up. Oh, there Maria. Stop, stop, stop. No, stop, stop, stop, stop. I thought you were in a hum, bro.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Bro, bro, bro, bro, bro. It's a sad song. It's not a sad song. I know, I know, but it didn't sound like it, right? It was not good, right? So no lyrics, what are you doing? Now just keep talking. Okay, so no lyrics, just try to hum
Starting point is 00:31:42 a make-believe song that you made up, right? A little bit more, probably in your tone, which is deeper. Okay. When you go like that. What is this? Taps. It's America, it's all of our dead soldiers. Oh yeah, yeah, that's good.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Yeah. Yeah, that's good. Can we put this on the YouTube or no? Probably, we'll see. Okay. Taps might be public though me all right Stop I'm already loving this There's no way three minutes But a slow three Maybe I have and then looking okay the balcony and good here good
Starting point is 00:32:33 What am I crying about doesn't matter doesn't matter for the audience to interpret oh, oh There's art moment. Oh, yeah, I see, there's art. Yeah, so it's a... People are gonna be like, see the opening of Bobby Lee's show? To Taps where he's just bawling and then he goes right into his set. Yeah, I'm bawling. I should have mascara maybe.
Starting point is 00:32:55 Yeah, oh yeah, you're streaming. I have to have mascara. Yeah, it's just streaming to your face. Right, and then do I, I have to talk about something. You go, hello there, after. Hello there. Right. Right?
Starting point is 00:33:08 I was beat by my dad. Yeah, right, after. I was molested. Yeah. You know what I mean? Right, exactly. Hence the tears. Exactly, you get into that whole thing.
Starting point is 00:33:16 Oh right, get into that whole thing. That whole thing. I see, I see. Very interesting. Which is one of your viral clips, so it would connect with the audience. Yeah. As you guys know, I was molested. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:25 They're gonna laugh like they did in the viral clip, and you're gonna do your soul's same shtick of like. Right, right, don't get me, I'm literally away, okay? You know. Okay, I don't wanna over, I don't wanna over direct you here. I also don't like the way you go, same shtick, like we're gonna like that old thing that you do. I don't like that, dude.
Starting point is 00:33:43 That was rude. It's not rude, everyone has a shtick. I don't like that dude. That was rude. It's not rude. Everyone has a shtick. I don't like the word shtick. Everyone's got something. What's my thing? Just like. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I say that a lot. By the way, I'm surprised you don't have a t-shirt that you sell says yeah, yeah, yeah. I say yeah, yeah, yeah a lot. Do you have a merch shirt that says yeah, yeah, yeah? No, do we have one? Oh my God, how are you not doing that?
Starting point is 00:34:02 You should fucking just pay me 10% of your salary. I can make it bigger. You're always thinking. So anyway, so thank you so much. So we were going back to the drinking now. Okay. Okay, so how long has it been since you have had your last rank?
Starting point is 00:34:16 Well, no, I drank on Saturday. No, so here's what I'm doing. I'm clean, I'm intermittent fasting, I'm stopping eating at seven and eating at 11 a.m Stop eating at 7 p.m. And eat 11. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah now I'm saying yeah Yeah, and then I'll drink one day a week So I'll drink on a Saturday and then you know, I'm not gonna stop what I'm doing You do let me here's the question and then I'll smoke Olly. Here's the question. Why?
Starting point is 00:34:44 On a Monday, are you thinking about Saturday? No, okay good. That's the most no because you know why why it's been three weeks or two weeks And I've never had more energy in my life great. Just you know cleaning out Vibrant yeah, you but your but you buzz a little bit like holy fuck. I feel good Yeah, and then when I drink on Saturday, I'm hung over on Sunday. I'm like, what am I doing? I fucking hate this. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Well your mom. Did your mom drink? Yeah, yeah, everyone everyone drink my whole family. Yeah, yeah, why he doesn't really drink Yeah, yeah, everyone drinks, but I would I would like put them back put them back, you know, yeah Yeah, yeah, how often do you see your family? a lot, I mean
Starting point is 00:35:22 How often do you see your family? A lot. I mean my mom just had her big gala for her foundation that she's been working on for 20 years It was all together. I Just doesn't even know who go on it. Do you know who his mom is? Do you know who Goldie Hawn is who Goldie Hawn is? Okay, that's her. What am I fucking wearing? Yeah, do you know that's like look at that stepdad your stepdad hurt? You know Kurt Russell. Oh, yeah yeah okay cuz he's been in every fucking movies maybe that's why you know who's hugging my brother that girl yes that's right that's his sister yeah yeah dang his last name that's a long time ago
Starting point is 00:36:00 look at all the dang you didn't know that? No, I knew that. Then why'd you say dang? Oh, it was Kate Hudson. That elicits a dang. But, Jaime, you already knew that information. Yeah, I'm saying like... I know, you already knew that information, so I'm asking you why dang now? Well, it's because she looks good in that picture. Oh, that's right. Don't point to her brother.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Yeah, yeah. I didn't want to be dismissed. That's right, right, right, right. That's very disrespectful going, hey, good job. I know, it to be disrespectful. Right, right, right. That's very disrespectful going, hey, good job. I know. The gesture look towards me was like, is it OK? Like, I'm being respectful.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I think she looks OK. She looks OK. She looks OK. That's my thing. And then Wyatt, my brother, on the right. Right there. Have you seen Wyatt before? He's extremely successful.
Starting point is 00:36:41 He's pretty successful. He's on Captain America. He's extremely successful. He's pretty successful. He's in a... What? He's on Captain America. Yep, yep, yep. The winter soldier. Oh yeah, he is in... The Falcon. The Falcon.
Starting point is 00:36:51 The Falcon, whatever. Is the marriage kind of rocky or... Who? There's... Oh wait, that's not a husband and sister. My brother, my sister. Yeah, it's been rocky. Pretty rocky.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Break it down. Stop, stop, stop, stop. Break it down. Hey, hey, hey, hey. I didn't listen. Hey, how dare you, dude? No, I didn't listen. How Break it down. Stop, stop, stop, stop. Break it down. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Hey, how dare you, dude? No, I, I. Listen.
Starting point is 00:37:07 How fucking dare you? Are you implying there's incest going on here? No, no, no, no. The Hudson family has married. What? Wow, dude. What are you talking about? I forgot that that was her brother.
Starting point is 00:37:14 I thought that was her husband. I think it was. Their brother. He was hoping their marriage was rocking. Yes. Well, I will, they are half, so, you know. Yeah, yeah. I mean, there's a.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Now, whose kids are, those are your kids? That's Kate's kid. Yeah. Kate's kid's the's kids the tall one yeah and then mine the blondie yeah that's right that's my little girl yeah yeah and then the furthest one over his wow wow they're all fucking little I mean they're all huge now Wilder's 17 yeah girlfriend for almost two years yeah yeah he's like a man now yeah crazy being a dad it's unreal yeah weird I still feel like a man now. Yeah, yeah crazy being a dad. It's unreal. Yeah weird I still feel like a child myself. Look at my chest hair. You know what that is That's oil that is coagulated
Starting point is 00:37:54 My chest hair really a ton of oil. Yeah that time in my life, but I'm based on that photo I have to say Oliver though. Yeah, I think you have the best looks Yeah, you're like the like, let's say I was an alien. Mm-hmm. Eat my money. And I came here, right? Yeah. Oh, I'm just gonna be in Hollywood, right?
Starting point is 00:38:13 Mm-hmm. And I came to Hollywood just for one day, you know what I mean? And I took the bus. Mm-hmm. Like one of those TMZ tour buses. Okay, I like that. And they showed this photo, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:38:22 Just ran on one of those buses the other day. Oh, did you really? Yeah. What do you mean? I was recognized and I was like of those buses the other day. Oh, did you really? Yeah. What do you mean? I was recognized and I was like, fuck it. I just went on the bus with everyone. That's great. Yeah, it was fun.
Starting point is 00:38:30 And were they shocked? Yeah, like three of them who recognized me. Yeah, yeah. The other people were like, who the fuck is this guy? All right, all right, all right. Wow, wow. But I am an alien back in this now. And I'd go, that's the star. Like, I don't have to do that whole thing, but it's like. I don't know back in this now. And I'd go, that's the start.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Like if I, I don't have to do that whole thing, but it's like, I don't know if we need it. I don't think we need the whole thing, but I'm just saying if I was an alien and I saw that photo, I would think that that would be the main guy. Yeah, I mean, I appreciate that, but then I guess it begs the question, what happened?
Starting point is 00:39:00 It's not over. No, I know. And what the fuck are you talking about? No, honestly, I'm still, It's all about, it's, I'm very self-deprecating. Yeah, I know. And what the fuck are you talking about? No, honestly, I'm still. It's all about pers, it's. I'm very self-deprecating. Yeah, I'm super self-deprecating. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it's part of how I deal with my shit.
Starting point is 00:39:11 At the same time, I do believe that my time is coming, even though I'm 48 years old. I'm a late bloomer. The name of my company is called Slow Burn, because that's like what the fuck I am. I'm a late, dude, I was, dude. You're 58? 53, no. 53. How old are you? 58. 48. I'm a late, dude, I was, dude, I'm 58. You're 58? 53, no, 53.
Starting point is 00:39:27 How old are you? 58. I thought you were 10 years older. Yeah, no, I'm not 10 years old. That's David Spade. Oh yeah, yeah, that's right. That's David Spade. I forgot.
Starting point is 00:39:34 58. So I'm 53, right? And this weekend I went to Skankfest. Oh nice. What is that? So I was in Vegas, I did a show with Bert Kreischer and Nate Bargatze at the Result World
Starting point is 00:39:51 Auditorium great hotel packed room, you know, I mean thousands of people. I got it. Who's the headliner Bert? Yeah But keep going no, no, I'm not gonna keep going I want wanna address that. Okay. What's up with the tone, dude? No, I knew the answer to my question. I just wanted to hear you say it. That I'm the opening act? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he asked me to open and I opened.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Yeah. I like Burr. But my name's on the flyer and there's some fans there. That's cool. Okay. So Bargatzee did a guest spot and we all after that went to Skank Fest, which is a comedy festival once a year in Las Vegas and it's in old Vegas and it's it was insane and it's like
Starting point is 00:40:36 and it's mostly like a lot and I had to explain it it's like the edge your comics you know I mean you know me edge lord comics but there was a lot of New York guys, like Norton was there, T.J. Miller, Rich Foss, Robert Kelly, and then you have, you know, a lot of LA guys, you know what I mean? But there was thousands upon thousands of people there. And they're all kids, pretty much, you know what I mean? It's unbelievable what's happened. Yeah, in my mind I'm like, oh, I was able to
Starting point is 00:41:02 kind of reinvent, I guess, myself. And then I was luckily able to kind of ride those trains. It was like, I feel like I'm a late bloomer, I'm a 53. And I'm feeling, like in my 20s and 30s I never felt like this. Do you attribute, I don't like talking about myself. Well too bad. Stupid, stupid.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Do you attribute that to? To be true pew. Do you attribute this to just the landscape of social media of TikTok or do you think you've actually gotten better? Oh wow, what a fucking question, dude. That's a really good question. It can be both, but... You know what? I think the real answer to that is it caught up to my whatever my deal was. I've always been this guy. There was no medium where I could do this.
Starting point is 00:41:53 I had to kind of do either the acting thing and then also the stand-up comedy thing. And some sketch, but those are the formats that was given. You know what I mean? And I can do those things. I can do them rather really competently, you know what I mean? But it's like, I think my real thing is just talking. Yeah, I think that's a perfect answer, honestly.
Starting point is 00:42:15 It caught up to you. Yeah, yeah. Because where the fuck are people gonna see what you do? Right, right. You know, of course at the store and whatever else you're doing. Although the special though is interesting because everybody wants to see it, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:42:30 And also when I go on the road, I mean, I do very well. I mean, we sell a lot of tickets and people really like what I do. So it's like, this is another thing that I can show people that I, you know, I didn't think there was like a lot of interest before, but now I feel like there is. So it's like, I'm a little stressed out about it
Starting point is 00:42:45 because I want to put out something good, but it's like. What do you do when you're alone for a year? And does that just mean with no female companionship? Is that what alone means? No, I mean, I think. Are you still going to masturbate? Fuck me. That's a thing.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Are you? I think that's a valid question. Why are you frowning, Jules, when you ask that? Because I know how much toys he has. You have a toy. That's all I have. It's not even a joke. For your ass and stuff.
Starting point is 00:43:15 It's not even a joke. I could literally open up an antique store. Oh, so they're old toys. Because I've been collecting them for so long. I have so much. I didn't build those. Oh my god. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have so much. I didn't build those. Oh my God. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:25 I have wooden flesh lines from the 1800s. Right. Like. With whale fat. They used whale fat back then. Yeah. Yeah, I have like antiquey. Cleopatra's pussy.
Starting point is 00:43:37 That'd be amazing. Wait a minute. Yeah, anyway, yeah? Do you use toys to masturbate? Oh, yes sir. Like vibrators on your hands. Well, it's not even beyond it. It's beyond.
Starting point is 00:43:50 I mean, I should bring one to show them, huh? You've done it? I mean, I'm interested. I have a really good... You have a clean one. I have a clean one that's like the number one one that I think I'll always use for the rest of my life. I think it's the number one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:03 You know what I mean? But anyway. Does it play with your ass? No, man! Well, tell me what it does. Tell me what it does. I'm curious. I'm going to bring it. I don't have toys for that. I know you have to be out in an hour, but just give me two minutes.
Starting point is 00:44:18 I don't. My in-laws are at dinner. I don't need to see that. You're here talking about Bobby's asshole. No, I know. I'm curious. When was the last time you guys like talked talk together? Oh, never. Because you know, Bobby, it's, it's... I shoot him little texts like thinking about you, because I do, I mean, you know, it was only two years, but I really, you know, fell in love with the guy.
Starting point is 00:44:38 I think he's fucking awesome. And we laughed and we had fun. And there are very few people I sort of check in on when you work with them, because you know how that goes yeah it disappears but Bobby was one of them so I'll just check in like thinking about you how you doing blah duh and then it could be three weeks and then it's like hey man like good or whatever or Bobby yeah but there's hey were you in a grown-ups yeah yeah that was yes then the lover? Oh the Jimmy in short the yoga Yes, get to the question. Are you asking a question? You tell you no, no, this is correct
Starting point is 00:45:14 Yeah, this is correct and I'm actually gonna go be a Sandler again. I'm doing happy Gilmore to Yeah, I'm going in October. What's your part you can't say? Uh, I don't think I can Yeah, I'm going in October. What's your part you can't say? I don't think I can. Because the script is like so under wraps. I had to go into the production office just to read it. Oh, it's the sucker thing. It's not the sucker man.
Starting point is 00:45:38 So anyway. This is the one I have three of these. And I have them simultaneously charging. And so you put your dick in that hole Sit in a nicer way dude it looks like I mean I don't want to feel it, but it's got to be a stretch Yeah, yes, he needs that no No, I'm just saying he's married right no no you're right and by the way it's strange like I just don't jerk off that much anymore Yeah, you go so crazy here to hurt it here first. I've You know kind of lost the I don't know okay? I'm but they put this away. No no no
Starting point is 00:46:15 I want to talk to you with it. Okay, so um you turn it on like this right mm-hmm right and then it has How much how much was this thing not much like 50 bucks no 150 oh so it has, um... How much was this thing? Not much. Like 50 bucks? No. 150. Oh. So it has, um... What? No, that's like pretty pricey.
Starting point is 00:46:32 I know for you now that's not a lot of money, but... So it has 12 different vibrations. Whoa. Okay. Like you hear that through the mic? Right, it vibrates. What are those little things moving inside of it? Lovebeats, baby? Love beads, baby.
Starting point is 00:46:45 From Singapore, baby. Do you come in like three and a half seconds? No, here's the better part, right? This button right here? Mm-hmm. Oh, fuck. Oh, cool! Oh!
Starting point is 00:46:55 Oh! Just fucking. What the fuck? It just shot calm? No, that was blue. You say you're calm, dude? Bro, that was You say you had a clean one dude, what was that that was his calm I swear that was his call
Starting point is 00:47:14 It must have been pre come to his very clear. Oh Shit, I didn't clean it. That was very clear Cut that out. Yeah. Yeah, what? So anyway what it does is um, what was that water? Cut that out. Yeah, yeah, well, cut it out. No, I'm not gonna cut it out. So anyway, what it does is. What was that water, though, for, I'm just curious. Is that like a cleaning mechanism of some kind? I think it's a combination between water, lube,
Starting point is 00:47:34 and maybe some kind. Okay. Okay. Fair. It's all over your genes. Yeah, it's all over my genes, fine. Yeah, okay. So anyway. Is that the release for?
Starting point is 00:47:42 Yeah, so what this does, right? Right. It sucks your penis, it sucks it. Yeah, okay. Right, so anyway, and then with the vibration with that, some wonderful things happen. And then you have, then you come, and then... Can we put it under the table? Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:47:59 Is that the blurring? And then you clean it out, with just like water and soap. Water and soap, yeah. I have a system of cleaning it. I will say that it does look fun. It is fun. Yeah, it does look fun. It is fun.
Starting point is 00:48:11 It's the best when you take it on the road. Yeah. Because they always pull it out, the TSA. What do they say? And I'm always direct, I go, I'm a loser. Or something like that, or I go, in sal, or something like that, and they always laugh. And I put it back.
Starting point is 00:48:28 Yeah, yeah. I make a joke into it, but they always pull it, because they don't know what it is in the X-ray. So a year alone. Okay, what? No, I'm saying a year alone, but with that thing. Conversation, yeah, a year alone. A year alone with that thing is almost not really alone.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Okay, they're a very good point. You know what I'm saying? That's a very good point. That's not just your hand. I mean, there's some real tech behind that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right. That's a very good point. And then if you were just to play like some woman talking dirty to you or whatever and
Starting point is 00:48:56 then you're doing that, I mean, you're basically having sex. Good point. And I think that's another one that's a thing I'm going to stop doing too. So to answer your questions. No masturbate Yeah is well, I think that like because I went to a place three years ago when I remember I went to that trauma place I went to a trauma psychotherapy workshop retreat retreat. What was it called? I think we talked about yeah, but I've been a couple of times since.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Yeah, yeah. But anyway. Remember, I went to the Hoffman Institute. I told you all. Oh, we were going to go. I was going to go. I was going to go. Yeah, but then I went there instead.
Starting point is 00:49:32 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you still into that or no? It's a part of me, but no, I mean, it's not like I'm. Did you just pop it in the bike? Hey, hi, babe. Wait, I'm sorry. Under the table. I'm sorry, dude.
Starting point is 00:49:45 What was? I'm sorry. My bad. I'm sorry, dude. My bad is because the mic was here and I don't want to... I know, that's why you put it a little away from the thing. You know what I mean? That was insane in my ear.
Starting point is 00:49:58 That vibration was insane. It's my show, Jaime! I'm going to be sick now. Okay, sorry. My bad. My sorry. My bad. My bad. Yeah that was weird. The squirting.
Starting point is 00:50:08 My bad. Yeah that was weird. Yeah that was insane. So anyway, so it still sticks with you the Hoffman. It sticks with me but there's always a honeymoon phase. I don't know if you've experienced that. You leave and you're like, oh my god! Life is fucking incredible.
Starting point is 00:50:22 I think I'm psychic. I mean like literally. You see things you've never seen before. Here's what I would say about that. That is not unreal. We do fall back into our patterns, that's human. We have in that moment after that week of heavy work
Starting point is 00:50:37 have realized our potential as a human being. It's our potential, we can be that. We have stripped it all down, and now this is something that is possible. But it's sort of impossible because we have life that will impede on those feelings, you know what I mean? That feeling of invincibility.
Starting point is 00:50:57 I mean, I came home and I'm like, I'm the fuckin', I'm gonna be the greatest, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna clean the fuckin' house. I mean, I was like, out of my mind, my wife was like, who is this person? This is incredible and then you know eight months later. She's like where is that person? You know she goes what what happened was it a slow gradual or just overnight no slow slow. Yeah Yeah, but that's a good question. What happened to that person. No, it's still there
Starting point is 00:51:22 There's still stuff I can take from it right right right I. I know that it was a really important moment in my life, shifted a lot of things. But to live in that space forever is not a possibility. We've been given the tools to deal with situations that come up through our experience or my experience with Hoffman. So now when some shit comes up, instead of just going off the rails,
Starting point is 00:51:44 it's like, I kinda know how to fuck with this instead of just let it take over You know yeah, we're all fucked up. We're all fucked up. We're all fucked up. Yeah, that's just a given I've been doing gratitude lists so that yeah do that all the time you do yeah every you guys do gratitude every day Well, let's do one now. Yeah, so before we go around. Yeah, yeah the problem problem that I have a gratitude list, it's the same shit every day. What do you mean? Meaning like, I'm grateful for my kids, I'm grateful for the ocean, I'm grateful for the clean air. So then I sit down every day and I'm like, look at my one before, I'm like, how do I do something different? Well, there's probably other deep-cut grateful things that you don't even think about.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Like what? Like I'm grateful that Andy Kaufman existed. Okay. Oh, that's your list. Yeah, yeah. I'm just, the other day I saw a clip on him and I go, you know what, I'm grateful that that dude existed.
Starting point is 00:52:35 Yeah. Because there's parts of elements of him I like that. That's definitely influenced me, you know what I mean? And I'm just grateful for him, for his existence. Have you written that multiple times? No, I just said it in my head. I'm just saying, it hasn't been literally on the-
Starting point is 00:52:47 You don't write it down. I have before. That was never on my actual written list, but maybe I'll do that. How many do you do? I don't like this- Three or five or 10? Dude, when I went to P***y, I do 50.
Starting point is 00:52:59 A day? No, in one session, like one time. But then a gratitude list of 50 things. That's a lot. I know, but you can think of them. Yeah, but you start making them up. That's the problem. You're not really grateful for number 48
Starting point is 00:53:12 because you're like, fuck, I want to finish this. Are you grateful that you have all your toes? Uh, yeah, I guess. That should be on your list. I don't, okay. But you're not? I mean, I guess I'm grateful that I have my toes, yes. Let me say, Toeless Fuckers, go all over hats and hats as Toes. If I lost a mean, I guess I'm grateful that I have my toes. Let me say, toeless fuckers go all over hats and hats.
Starting point is 00:53:27 If I lost a pinky, I would be OK, because it doesn't really do much. It's not balanced or whatever. But that's what I'm saying. You have dogs? Yes. How many? Two.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Right. Yeah, I write that sometimes. Oh, you're grateful for your dogs? Yes, sometimes. OK, OK, OK. But every day, I'm grateful for my dogs. But right now, honestly, I'm grateful that I'm here with you because we don't get to hang or talk.
Starting point is 00:53:49 We text and we, you know, we do what we do. I know. But I'm very grateful to be sitting here and rapping with you. Yeah, that's fun. You know? Yeah, yeah. And I know that you feel the same way, but you won't express it as much as I do.
Starting point is 00:53:59 I want to say something right now, dude, and that's fucking blasphemous what you just said. Oh, really? It's blasphemous and out of pocket. Oh really it's blasphemous and out-of-pocket. Oh Really? Oh, that's right, sir. How so I? I've said this many times on podcasts and you can do deep dives, but I've said number one that when we were what are you guys doing? There's a fly Yeah, yeah, so there is oh yeah, yeah, so what I'm saying is, I saw both of you look at the fly and I asked you what
Starting point is 00:54:29 are you doing and then you said nothing? But I saw you look at the fly? They did this. Yeah, and then you were honest. What was that about? I didn't want you to get mad at me. I'm not mad at you. I'm just saying what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:54:41 Just like you saw a fly. There's two flies. Thank you Jaime. I can't tell if is this real I know you are no you're fine. Is this funny shit or is he? Or is he like this, you know, that's real that's real. It's just like it's up. There's a fly There's a fly. It's fucking geniusly funny. You should explain how Jaime came to be. It's not a shtick, dude.
Starting point is 00:55:09 I mean, Jaime, it's a stag. Like him going... I mean, I'm like, that has to be a bit. That's why guys like this... You can't find guys like this, right? This is like one in a million, okay? Real. You can't find guys like this, right? This is like one in a million, okay? Real.
Starting point is 00:55:26 So Ralph Barboza, you know him? No. He's a comic from Texas. And he's blowing up. He's like getting viral, great stand up, young Hispanic kid, and they're neighborhood buddies. They grew up together. And then Jaime started doing stand up after Ralph, right?
Starting point is 00:55:44 And then he opens for him. So anyway, we had Ralph Barboza on the show, and he was just sitting over there. And I would just go, what's wrong with that guy? Right? He's dead, man. He's just something strange about him. And then we would ask, we asked him some questions.
Starting point is 00:55:59 And as soon as he started talking, I go, I want him on my pocket as a sidekick. And we fly him out, so he doesn't even live here. Oh, really? We fly him out for my pockets as a sidekick. And we fly him out so he doesn't live here. Oh really? We fly him out for these things. Texas. From Texas. Oh amazing. Yeah yeah. Fuck dude. And I'm grateful for that. Yeah. And we're grateful to have you. That's one of my grateful things. Here's what I'm grateful for is is that I have to say ever since Sling Up Together I have to say, ever since Sling Up Together, I've become a better actor. No, I agree.
Starting point is 00:56:27 Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I was like a positive. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, literally like, before Sling Up Together, I couldn't watch anything I was in, ever. And now it's like, you know, I went to the Borderlands premiere, I went to the, like the, when Reservation Dogs,
Starting point is 00:56:43 you know, I did that swatch party. You were there, right? Yeah. Yeah, and I could, I watched myself, I went, oh, I'm to the, like the, when Reservation Dogs, you know, I did that swatch party. You were there, right? Yeah. Yeah, and I could, I watched myself, I went, oh, I'm pretty good, you know what I mean? And then you have seen all the sex in the city and other jobs I've done, you know what I mean? And so, but I think that it started with this, right?
Starting point is 00:56:58 And I, and it started with, oh, I remember that episode. It started with the pilot, right? And what you did, we talked about this before probably, but what he did for me on the pilot was so generous that it makes me wanna cry. What did you do? I was, one day we were doing an outside street, they're us together.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Oh my God. An outside, we doing an outside street, there are us together. Oh my God. And outside, we had a outside shoot and then somebody said, everyone's here. Like everyone from ABC. Right. Hot brass. Hot brass was there.
Starting point is 00:57:37 And I had a lot of things to say, I think. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had chunky things to say and I just got so nervous. I just forgot it all Right, and I was like having a panic attack Right, and then he pulled me aside and I didn't know him that well. We had like a dinner. Yeah a table read Yeah, I mean that was pretty pretty much it right so I didn't even know him that well
Starting point is 00:58:00 He pulls me aside and he gets my mind wrapped around it that way. He pulls me aside and he gets my mind wrapped around it in a psychological way where I was able to do it, right? But other actors wouldn't have that generosity and take the time. Some actors would be like, get rid of this guy, you know what I mean? He can't, he doesn't deliver, you know what I mean? Right? But he didn't do that. He goes, I've been there. Yeah, yeah. Relate to it entirely. Because you told me that other, the Western, whatever, the country Western show that you did. Oh yeah, Nashville. Yeah, Nashville.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Oh my God. Same thing happened to you there. And you were like, this happened to me, and this and that, everything's okay. You know what I mean? And it just like, a couple of things, and I got my mind wrapped around it, and I was able to do it.
Starting point is 00:58:38 And he was generous through the whole show. It was really, that's how I fell in love with him and his family, and him, his essence, everything about him. So it's like, I don't know why I'm saying all this right now. I'm saying it. Just let it come out.
Starting point is 00:58:52 Oh, my grad, yeah, yeah. Just let it come out. My grad, so I'm. Just let it come out. So I'm. Don't judge it. Spotlight. Don't judge it.
Starting point is 00:59:00 So I'm just like, you know, there's many incidences in life where I've been grateful for certain people that have shown up and that have helped me and you really helped me during that show. And I think ever since then, I've been very comfortable on sets and this and that. I think you got my mind, something happened since then that has given me the confidence.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Also, on top of it, I can tell now, people want me on the show, or whatever. Was before it's like, you know, you had to beat out all these people. Some people were unsure, right? But now I just feel like, oh, thank you for being here. I think that I've kind of stepped into that. Yeah. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:59:39 That confidence. Rising to the occasion, and you know, like, you know, being on a show like Sex and the City and doing lines with Sarah Jessica Parker in New York, at the time it was like a, you know, anticipated show. And it's a type of show, it's the kind of dialogue that I'm not really even used to even saying. And I was just being, I was able to rise to the occasion and do it, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:00:03 So it's like, but you really helped me out. I did two episodes. Yeah, I remember, it. So it's like, but you really helped me out. I did two episodes. Yeah, I remember, we talked about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember talking to MPK about it. Really intimidating walking on that set. I know.
Starting point is 01:00:13 You know? Yeah, yeah. They've been doing it for a million years, you walk on. You're like, hey, I'm Oliver. I know, I know. And they were all cool, but they don't really give a shit. It's like the 80th guest stars, they're like, hey, hey. And you're like, were all cool, but you know, they don't really give a shit. You know, it's like the 80th guest stars, they're like, hey, hey, you know, and then you're like, all right, fucking here we go.
Starting point is 01:00:29 They overshoot it too, in a weird way. Oh yeah, they really overshoot everything, so it's like you're doing it again and again, and they're very specific with like notes even, you're like, okay. Yeah, well I had to do a whole threesome scene. I know, a sex thing, yeah, I remember that, yeah, yeah, yeah. Which we had the whole sort of intimacy coach and who was in the sex scene? It was it was Miranda
Starting point is 01:00:51 Yeah, and and and Che. Yeah. So Sada and Cynthia. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and I was so hungover It was crazy dude from the night before yeah, because what happens I had the day off in between so Thursday I just spent the day in New York and just drank all day Martin yeah, yeah, I was like I'm gonna go to bed early, and then I go to the bar I'm have one more and I meet some dude who's like fisherman. We start talking. It's like three in the fishermen
Starting point is 01:01:19 This dude was yeah, but well you just talked to fishermen's out of nowhere. I love the fish Yeah, but you don't talk to fishermen's straight happen to be a fisherman I know but why would he he's that fucking he's not a fisherman so I'm like dude I love this fish it's like saying I work on with tires yeah but if you love tires you're gonna go okay you know and then he went to bed at 3 a.m. and I was like oh my god I go into my dressing room and immediately start throwing up oh my god and now I'm having to put on a good face and do my thing and then go into my room and put on my go.
Starting point is 01:01:50 I got through it. I got through it. It was great. It was actually really fun. But it was tough sledding, dude. It was tough sledding. The New York Post did a story about how I got drunk. I relapsed.
Starting point is 01:02:00 Oh, really? On that show. Yeah, so Saturday I was in Mexico. Yeah. Right? And Saturday I was in Mexico. Yeah. Right? And drinking 24 hours a day. And then they're like. You have to.
Starting point is 01:02:11 On vacation? No, doing a show with Andrew. Oh, you're okay. In like, comedy festival. Comedy festival, Cancun here. Okay, got it, got it. And so I remember they go, you have to fly to New York on a Sunday.
Starting point is 01:02:22 So I go, okay, I'll just fly in, get fucked up Sunday, and then Monday, you know what I okay, I'll just fly in, get fucked up Sunday. And then Monday, you know what I mean? I'll shoot. So I'm fucking drinking on the plane, you know, kind of in a blackout, you know what I mean? I arrive, I remember just getting in the limo
Starting point is 01:02:36 and then I just remember kind of going, where are we going? And they're like, to the set. Oh my God. I know. And I go, it's a Sunday. You got that, because Sarah has to go somewhere tomorrow to shoot Hocus Pocus or
Starting point is 01:02:47 something. Oh. And so they have to shoot this thing. And I remember looking down and going, I'm fucked. Yeah, that's it. It's it. I'm done.
Starting point is 01:02:54 I'm drunk. I, I, I, and I remember it being a lot of lines. Like it was one of those things where we had to shoot in the middle of Manhattan at a street light where there's traffic, everything, right? And the only times to do the lines. It Manhattan at a street light where there's traffic, everything, right? And the only times to do the lines
Starting point is 01:03:09 is when there's a fucking walking. So if you fuck up on the first couple of steps, right? You have to reset and then wait for the fucking traffic sign. I have anxiety even thinking about that right now. So I remember being outside the trailer and it taking snow and just smashing my face with the snow Right and it's just being like like taking my shirt off and just being in the cold. Yeah, right. Yeah, and I remember being on set I'm just going
Starting point is 01:03:33 What can I do here? I have to try You know, I mean, and I I mean it wasn't great. I was able to do it. You pulled it off. Yeah You pulled it off. Anyway, I don't know why, we talked about this before, you know what I mean? One time before, right? Okay, why are you doing this? Oh no, I was trying to remember that part of the story. What story, you think I made it up?
Starting point is 01:03:53 Yeah. I was just like. I know, what are you doing? Yeah, yeah. I don't remember the snow part, I just don't remember that part. Well, I make things up. Yeah, don't call yourself out by calling.
Starting point is 01:04:02 I know, I'm just saying that, you know, my story is I ambellish and I make things up Some just style you know, I don't know what happened. No, of course Happened I just know that I didn't get fired and I did it but you got caught No, but I talked about on a podcast and then then you're posted Like this, yeah, now somebody else is gonna do a fucking post. Oh, I'm probably for me, like, Oliver's hungover doing a sex scene. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:28 That's happening more and more these days. I know. Now let me ask you something. The state of, because you know, I mean, luckily I have standup and I have this and stuff, but I mean, do you see it dying? Well, I don't know if it's gonna die, but it's definitely shrunk.
Starting point is 01:04:47 You know, things are not the same. Immensely, yeah. Whether it rebounds or not, I don't know. Remains to be seen. I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna say this is, there might be some sort of a spike, but it feels like this is sort of the new norm. Right now, though, the statement.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Kind of, like, well, what's gonna change? You know, what's gonna change? They used to produce so much fucking content, it used to be crazy. You know, with Fox right now, they don't even shoot pilots. They're going right to series. Wow.
Starting point is 01:05:15 What is that, magnesium? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, I thought it was like promoting something. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. Oliver Hudson, Inks broadcast direct deal with Fox. So what do you mean?
Starting point is 01:05:26 So if you have a project and they like it, it goes right to series? Yes, yes. So if you have a project and you write it and they enjoy the pilot and then they're like, all right, cool, we'll fucking make it. They're not shooting pilots, which is nice. Right, but it's probably not like,
Starting point is 01:05:43 it's like a six episode thing or no? No, no, it's 10 at least. It's at least 13 10. Have you gotten one? That's what force we sold four shows, you know two of them are are strongly in development one with You know, I'm developing with a friend of my chat and Scott MacArthur, you know Scott. I love dude I just did something with Scott. Yeah, he's the best. Yeah, but. Where we hang out all the time. Actually, there's a part for you. I don't think I know that person. Is it Hayes MacArthur? Yeah, Hayes' brother.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Hayes' brother, yeah, Scott. Yeah, yeah, Scott, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, actually, you're- You said Chad. You're Slate, Chad's our writer, but you're slated to be in that show as our adopted brother. How, really? Yeah, his name's Hong.
Starting point is 01:06:20 You never said it that. Hong Thunder Jack. No, I have to do it. Yeah, it's a great, I wanna do it. It's really funny, dude. Fox likes me. Yeah, Fox loves you. When we were pitching the show, we were like,
Starting point is 01:06:32 and Bobby is gonna play Hong. Okay, good, good, good. Oh, I like it, I wanna play Hong. I've always wanted to play Hong. It's really, really. See, this is how the business works now. You know what I mean? Guys like this, they do this.
Starting point is 01:06:43 What a beautiful guy. Think about the friends. You're you know what I mean? Guys like this, they do this. What a beautiful guy. Think about the friends. What a beautiful, you're a beautiful guy, huh? Well you, now I don't even know if we could get you. Oh, 100%, because I'll tell you why. I've done, I did gutter markers in Montana. It was for really no money. And I knew Jim Belushi's in it, love him.
Starting point is 01:07:00 And Leslie Jones, a couple people I like, Lil Raul, and I'm like, I'll do it, you know what I mean? So I do things with people that I know and I think it's fun. And it's gonna be fun. Yeah, I don't do it for like, oh, I can retire. Those days are over. Yeah, but by the way, your cash cow's coming from
Starting point is 01:07:14 your comedy, your podcasts, your selling out shows. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's where your money's coming from. Now you can have fun being an actor. That's what I'm doing, that's what's fun. Fucking beautiful. That's great. And you're playing with your friends. I love it. I love it.
Starting point is 01:07:27 Look, happy for you. I'm happy for you. I know, but I'm still fucking like hawking mustard, French's mustard beer for 25 grand, you know what I mean? On Instagram, like I'm still trying to make that money to pay for private school, to pay for my kids. You know, there's a, you've afforded yourself a lifestyle with rules of engagement, with splitting up together with Nashville, with all the shows that I've done. You have to maintain that fucking lifestyle, which is not easy to do.
Starting point is 01:07:54 Can you lower the lifestyle? No. Why? What are you, crazy? You can't cut a couple of things out? No, I do, I do, but I don't. I see you do snow trips. But we don't vape.
Starting point is 01:08:04 How about not so many snow trips? No, but I drive and I'm staying in my couple of things out. No, I do, I do. I see you do snow trips. But we don't vape. How about not so many snow trips? No, but I drive and I'm staying in my fucking parents' house. You know, I'm a bit of a hustler. I try to get free shit. Oh, your parents own a place in the snow valleys? Well, we've had a ranch for 40 years. I went to Albuquerque.
Starting point is 01:08:17 Oh yeah, I remember that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whose ranch is it? It's my family's. So at that ranch, can I talk about the ranch real quick? I don't care where it is. No, no, you can't, yeah, yeah. It's in Colorado, it's fine. Okay, that's great. Big state. No one's my family. So at that ranch, can I talk about the ranch real quick? I don't care where it is. No, no, you can't.
Starting point is 01:08:26 It's in Colorado. It's fine. Okay, that's great. Big state. No one's going to come. So I've always, because I've never been at a ranch, number one. Ever? I've seen them in like Little House on the Prairie and stuff like that, you know what
Starting point is 01:08:37 I mean, and other shows. Maybe there's a better show. No, no. Yellowstone. There you go. A little more current. More current, right? But I've seen ranches and I thought,
Starting point is 01:08:46 I've always thought to myself, I would love to have a garden. Mm-hmm. I'm not kidding you. I would love to have an animal sanctuary and I would love to live in a ranch. I have a couple of questions about ranches. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Is the wifi strong? Yes, it's still modern day. You know what I mean? Like, you don't get thrown back to like 1923 when you live at a ranch. I mean there's all the amenities you could... Oh so there's running water. Total running water. Electricity.
Starting point is 01:09:14 There's electricity. I don't know. There's Wi-Fi. Oh there's Wi-Fi. Yeah, you can play your video games without worrying about streaming delays. But probably like not great, like maybe 3G. No. You get 5G.
Starting point is 01:09:26 No, you get 5G. Okay, okay, okay. You get 5G, but. My bad, my bad. No, no, but by the way, you're not wrong, because sometimes when you're out there and you're a little further out, it's not as strong. Because I was in Butte, Montana for a month
Starting point is 01:09:37 shooting that movie, and you know, the Wi-Fi was like 3G. Yeah, it's not, well, ours isn't 3G, but yes, it can get a little spotty. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I went downstairs one day in the hotel, did I tell you about this? And there was a casket. And I go, what the fuck is going on?
Starting point is 01:09:50 Oh, we do our funerals here at the hotel. No. No, I'm not kidding you. Oh my God. I'm like, this is insane. Montana. And people are like crying, what? Montana.
Starting point is 01:09:57 That's Montana. Have you been there? No, but you just explained it. Now you don't have to go. I don't wanna go. If I could take my head as I was doing it, but like you Honestly, for real, dude. He's being serious. No, for real. If I could take my head, because I would do it, but like you stand against the wall with your head back like this, and then you walk yourself out, walk your feet out, so then your body's at a bit of an angle. Automatically,
Starting point is 01:10:58 your arms and your shoulders will get pulled back, and you stay there for like two minutes, and then come off the wall like this and you'll Automatically feel like your posture is better. Did you understand what he was saying? Yeah, do you want to demonstrate it? No, don't demonstrate it. He wasn't listening. I wasn't I don't think you care I do because I was like hunched back over there on the airplane. I was like this. I gotta fix I'm young I mean I had an answer for it.
