Starting point is 00:00:00 Someone somehow has vandalized the National Mall to spell out 8647 in gigantic letters just across from the reflecting pool right after these renovations just in time for America's 250th. It's actually pretty wild because it looks like they use some kind of desiccant or, I don't know if it's the pesticide, to spray circles in the lawn to spell this thing out. Police came to try and figure out how they did it. It's actually pretty brutal. guys, I know you don't like Trump, but the grass didn't do anything to you. I don't know. You don't got to kill the grass. So I guess that's the big news because Donald Trump did this morning announce that we're going to invade Iran. And I was like, holy wow.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Oh, he actually said we're going to take Carg Island and seize the oil infrastructure. And then a couple hours later, he's like, no, I'm canceling it. We're not going to strike Iran because now they're talking to us. And I'm like, here we go. Guys, it's a yo-yo. It's a back and forth. Like every week, the deal's on and then the deal's off. And my only assumption is that somebody in the circus,
Starting point is 00:00:58 in the Trump admin circle is just they're buying, they're buying low and they're selling high and they're short and all the way down because the oil prices are bouncing up and down. That'd be fair, they've gone down a little bit. But I don't think there's any real intention to end this war. And I should have seen it coming when, you know, Trump says we're going to invade that he was going to come out a couple hours later like, oh, no, actually we have a deal. And I'm going to say it now. I hope it's true. But I really feel like he's going to come out tomorrow and be like, actually, no, it's not. Considering Iran already said, nah, we're not playing.
Starting point is 00:01:30 There was some news earlier today that the Pentagon was evacuated. It was a false alarm. So we're just going to talk about what we got going into the politics. Graham Platner is getting a lot more heat now. And we want to talk a bit about the latest updates on the California election. And we've got a little bit of debate
Starting point is 00:01:46 in us tonight. A little bit of debate. I know everyone is going to really enjoy this. Before we get started, we got a great sponsor for you guys. It is American financing.net slash 10. My friends, in today's uncertain economy, American financing is helping families find a way out of the high interest trap. We're heading in the summer, but the economic clouds aren't clearing for most middle class families.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Between persistent inflation and the cost of daily life, you're likely feeling the pressure. You've worked hard for your home and probably have more equity than you realize. Yet the summer surge is forcing many to rely on credit cards. It's an exhausting cycle. But American financing understands that 2026 requires a real strategy. That's why they have salary-based mortgage consultants. With mortgage rates in the fives, their customers are saving an average of $800 a month by wiping out high interest debt. That's money that stays in your pocket to fight back against rising costs.
Starting point is 00:02:35 No upfront fees, no pressure. And if you start today, you could delay two mortgage payments. Call American Financing today at 866-890-7811. That's 866 890-7811. Or visit Americanfinancing.net slash tim. And don't forget to pick up your bag of Ian's graphene dream. at castbrew.com. Ground coffee, low acidity. But you can check out the rest of what we got at casparoo.com. We got Josie 1776 signature brew. We got bottled water brand pool water, if you ever want to drink pool water. Starting point is 00:03:33 We got a couple people, but we got this gentleman here, Jeremiah Hicks. Pleasure to be here, man. Who are you? What do you do? My name is Jeremiah. I'm from Kansas City. I'm a content creator and a pastor. I love telling people the truth. Honestly, that's what the Bible is all about,
Starting point is 00:03:48 and that's what I'm about is the truth. And it expands way beyond just a church on Sunday mornings. That's right on. I'm excited to have you here. because you are about to be tested because of our next guest, Brian Shapiro. Good to see you guys, man. I know your listeners are very happy to see me as well, and I share that love with them as well. You go by, I think you call yourself, Lying, Crying Brian on social media.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I think that's what the haters call me. They call me a lot of other things, too, which is totally fine. Well, so who are you? What do you? My name is Brian Shapiro. I do a show called Pushing the Limits. I'm a political commentator, and I appreciate you guys invite me back, and I have a have some bad news for everybody. I'm going to be back here tomorrow as well. Yeah. So you guys have a double dosage of Brian Shapiro. I don't know how you guys can. I see I see the people that
Starting point is 00:04:33 your detractors are just like, oh, I can't listen to this. And it's like, well, that may be, but I'll tell you this. We're going to have a bit of debate tonight. And the debate clips are going to get a lot more attention than, you know. Yeah. Last time you called me a retard. Yeah. That was funny, actually. Well, you were like, you don't really think I'm a retard. I was like, nah, I'm just insulting you. That's fair. It'll be fun. That's fine. That's fair. What are the chances that we can do a show both bald. Like, is there any chance that happens? Like, seriously, wouldn't that be, that
Starting point is 00:04:59 would go viral, wouldn't it? I don't know, it's too gay. If you put both of our heads together, we look like an ass, so you're probably right. That's very gay. Stop asking. Oh, yeah. It's right. ripping off his shirt and getting his muscles out. We do have some breaking news. Okay, now Ian's
Starting point is 00:05:13 just crank the volume. Oh, hey. Ian, you're like at a level 10 now. Yeah. How come? I was like Ryan already seething in the comments. I'm like, no, it's going on. Yeah, I saw that too. People are happy to see that. Anyway, the boys are hanging out too.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Hi, everybody. Pleasure of mine. We also got this Labonte man over this creature. Hello, hello everybody. My name's Philibanti. I'm the lead singer of the heavy metal band All That Remains. Carter. What's up?
Starting point is 00:05:34 Brian, glad you're here, Jeremiah. You get such a bad rap. I've never met you before, but it's... He's earned it. Who me? Yeah. What do you mean? I just still love me on an...
Starting point is 00:05:42 You know, Phil already... You know, Phil already insulted me before the show started. He just tweeted out. I learned Brian doesn't know how to use his phone. I responded by saying, yeah, it's a Trump phone. I also sent him a direct message on Twitter that just said gay. Well, let's get into it.
Starting point is 00:05:59 All right, here we go. Here's a story from the BBC. Police investigate 8647 written in grass on U.S. National Mall. It's actually pretty interesting how they did this. It appears that somebody, I got to be honest, it's actually an impressive feat because you can see what they did with the 86. It seems like they lined up, they lined these things up, and then sprayed some kind of pest, herbicide, I called it a pesticide earlier, that was stupid, herbicide or desiccant to kill the plants
Starting point is 00:06:30 to spell out 86.47. Looks like they didn't quite get the four in there before it got shut down. They say the police are investigating a large imprint of 8647. 86's slang term for get rid of U.S. Park police responded to a report of vandalism. Now keep in mind, it's pretty crazy. Look at the size of the people in the image. I mean, these are big, big circles. That's pretty crazy how they pulled this off. And this is just before this weekend is the UFC game. It's America 250. Celebrations are kicking off. And this is just outside the reflecting pool, which just recently got renovated. So clearly this is intended to kind of be poking at all of that, as well as making a big statement just before the America 250. Now, for those that don't know what 8647 means,
Starting point is 00:07:14 rest assured, no one else does either. The history of it is apocryphal. There's a few different theories. One is that there was a soda pop shop that had a menu item number 86 that one time got removed. Customers would then come in and say, if something else got removed, they'd beg, hey, what happened to the chocolate cake you had? The server would go, it got 86th, referencing the 86 footnote that had been removed in the past. However, others believe it comes from Vegas. The mafia, they'd say, deal, they'd say 86 them means eight miles out and six feet under. It was a slang term used so that if they were speaking in code, the feds wouldn't know exactly what they're saying or couldn't use it again. them and they would then go, no, no, we were just saying not to kill the guy, but like a restaurant,
Starting point is 00:07:55 you know, get them off the menu, you know what I'm saying? So some people very much view this as a death threat depending on the context, whereas I would say conservatives view it on the border of it's an indirect threat to a threat and liberals view it as just a general anti-Trump statement. But I'll throw it to you guys, are we facing the most terrifying death threat in the Trump administration history and should we be worried. The whole point of this is just to try to throw egg on Trump's face for the, you know, the UFC fight this weekend and stuff. Look, this is typical Democrat stuff.
Starting point is 00:08:29 They couldn't even do it right, right? Like, can't finish it. It thought you couldn't even get the floor in there. Yeah, the ballroom is working out really well. It takes a little time to build. It takes a little time. It takes a little time to build a building. Let me, let me address it.
Starting point is 00:08:41 They're not building a ballroom. Well, from what I, do you know the ballroom is fake? What do you mean? They're building a deep underground military base and the ballroom just covers it. We'll see. But this is it. I mean, it was actually, it was, it was Democrats that called this out. Initially, Trump's like, we want to build a big, beautiful ballroom and all these conservatives
Starting point is 00:09:01 are like, we need the ballroom. And then Newsweek put out a report, I think it was Newsweek saying, hey, actually they've got a massive budget for a deep underground base. Well, first he was asking for $200 million from his donors. It wouldn't be from tax, from people who are paying taxes. then it went up to 400 million. We're going to listen to Brian complain about Trump all night long. Brian's got one message.
Starting point is 00:09:23 What is 86-47 mean? Right. How come like earlier tonight you were like, I'm not a Democrat? I'm an independent. I am. And I say Democrats, this and you jump to defending Democrats and change the topic straight to, oh, I hate them. Hold on. One trick pony.
Starting point is 00:09:37 No, I'm not. No, no. I got to be fair. I actually interrupted him to jump in on the ballroom point. He's the one that brought the ballroom up, though. No, no, no. But let's talk about 86. 47, do you think Comey, by the way, if you want to keep this alive, I don't care about the
Starting point is 00:09:51 86. Well, Donald Trump does because they pressed, they pressed the charges against him. Right there, straight to Donald Trump. You are a one-trick pony. That's what 86-47 is. It says 86-447. What do you mean I'm a one-trick pony? We're talking about 86-46-47.
Starting point is 00:10:01 I'm talking about you constantly direct your argument straight at Donald Trump. That's the only- What do you think that's what's the story we're talking about? It doesn't matter though. You don't want me to bring it up Donald Trump? No, I don't care if you bring up Donald Trump. What's your argument? I know that you're definitely going to bring it up Donald Trump. I'm talking about the fact.
Starting point is 00:10:16 that even when we were in Vegas, everything was straight to Donald Trump, no matter what the topic was. All you do is pivot to Donald Trump. What do you mean when we were in Vegas? Let's catch him when he was in here. We did an IRL when Tim wasn't there. Oh, you're talking about that show.
Starting point is 00:10:29 When we were in Vegas. Well, last I checked, Fox News, O-A-N, and Newsmax, also always talk about Donald Trump. Your best buddy, Benny Johnson, Michael Knowles. My best buddy. I've never met Benny Johnson. I'm being facetious. Everybody on the right also talks about Donald Trump 24-7.
Starting point is 00:10:45 But you know what the difference is? Phil between me and you? I don't wear Donald Trump knee pads 24. Do I have anything on? I mean, do I have anything on that says Donald Trump? Have you ever seen anyone on me? Have you ever criticized Donald Trump for anything? Absolutely. I don't care what you believe. I don't, I don't want to have a long-winded conversation about who's criticizing Trump too much or too little. What does 86-47 mean, Tim? Because I talk all the time in Vegas. We all obviously know what 86-47 means. Is that a crime? They've been trying to do it for every season. I mean, every year it's like a new season of let's try to get rid of Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Is it a crime? If you say 86-47, let me ask you. It can be a crime. Yeah, it can be. So all the people on social media that say 86-47 should all be it can be. It can be. He said it could be. I said it can be. It does not mean all. You think Comey is credibly that you think that's a threat to Donald Trump, James Comey? You think that was a credible threat? Or do you think that's just political prosecution? I got my hand up. I was asking him. I know what you're asking. That's why I put my hand up. The thing about it is, is we understand the nature and the temperature and climate of this country. That's not what I asked you.
Starting point is 00:11:51 I didn't ask you about the climate. Is it a crime? Is it a crime? I said it could be. I already said it could be. So I'm asking you specifically, Comey, do you think in seashells on the beach, a man who has never been convicted of a crime before, when he puts in seashells 8647, you think that is credible that that could be an assassination attempt or a threat to the president of the United States? Okay, well, I think that's absolutely absurd. We know you think that, but let me give you my train of thought on the Comey thing.
Starting point is 00:12:19 I disagree. Let me give you my thought process on it. I don't think Comey was threatening to murder Trump. I think it was a threat. Comey was in a meeting with Yates, Biden, and Obama where they had a discussion about accusing Trump of being a Russian and this campaign that had come up with the steel dossier. That indicates that there is something malicious that is not. Being malicious is not necessarily a question. crime. Agreed, but let me get my point. So when you're the DOJ right now and Comey, who is connected
Starting point is 00:12:49 to powerful forces that have engaged in what I would describe as illicit activities, like illegitimate, saying 86-47, the question is, is there a preponderance of evidence that this could be a legitimate threat? If you are Donald Trump and you are the DOJ and you say Comey has engaged in surreptitious activities with powerful political forces to lie, smear, defame, and maliciously target the president, this statement is a threat. Then I think that's a fair assessment. That doesn't mean he's been convicted. I'd like to see the evidence because specifically what Blanche said was, not all instances of 86, 47 are crimes. This one, we believe is, which means what they presented the grand jury, the grand jury did agree with. I think there may be something underlying.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I would reserve it to. I await a criminal conviction, should that be. the case. I don't think that's going to happen, Tim, do you? 20%, right? Like, low. Very low chance that he will be prosecuted. I think this is... No, no, no, no, he's being prosecuted. Well, I shouldn't say that. I found guilty. Convicted. Yes, that's what I meant to say here. No, I don't think it's credible. I don't think that that was an actual threat. I think it's pretty clear what Comey was doing. And I think when I see people on social media saying 8647, I don't think those are credible
Starting point is 00:14:06 threats either. I think we know what an actual credible threat is. Yeah, the ones where they we're actually trying to take them out, which they have been doing. That's not Comey. Exactly. I agree with you. Like I said before, this is just to put egg on Donald Trump's face. Sure, of course. It's knocking on them. I don't disagree with you there. You don't think it's inciting anybody to do that? I think genuinely, I think that there is, if you're talking about incitement, there's far more stuff that you find on social media. That's far more egregious than this.
Starting point is 00:14:31 This is just on the lawn. I forget. I think it's on the hockey. National Mall. National Mall. Right right in front of the pool, which they just renovated. So it's just to put egg on Donald Trump's face because of the 250, which it's worth noting, like, the 250th anniversary of the creation of the United States and people are doing stuff like this. It's very bad taste. It's very lowbrow. But, you know, it's, I don't think that it's a threat. It's very American. I mean, low taste.
Starting point is 00:15:00 I mean, down with the empire. Bad taste. Lowbrow. I mean, we can give examples of that. Yes, you'll talk about how bad Donald Trump. I think higher positions that do that. You'll talk about how you think it doesn't change the fact that that's is. It's not breaking the law.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I think no, it's not. Wait, wait, guys, that that is illegal. Yeah, that's vandalism. Yeah, yeah, that's illegal. It's not your property. The issue is like people, so it's breaking the law. If it's breaking the law, then that's wrong. People keep trying to downplay the fact that the president of the United States has been consistent, has been consistently in places where he's been almost lost his life.
Starting point is 00:15:34 I don't know if we can say the word. Who's tried to do that? Assassinated or shot at it was trying to do that. Yeah. Yeah. And so, I mean, maybe the same people that are putting things like 86.47 on the line. Do you know who's tried to kill Donald Trump? Do I know who's the history of it? One of them is dead. One of them's in jail.
Starting point is 00:15:49 The first person who tried to kill Donald Trump was a registered Republican, came from a mag of family. The second person. Oh, you don't know anything about the actual person, though. You are wrong. Was he a registered Republican?
