And it was the Corsican Brothers that kind of split Cheech and I up because he was getting a divorce at the same time. I was getting, I was doing the Corsican Brothers. And he wasn't really in the mood to do a movie, but we had the

Starting point is 00:13:45 deal and I wanted to shoot it in in Paris and so we so we added up in Paris because you know as a director I could make those calls you know and and and that's what I did but the weird thing you know I just you know doing all these interviews in that I kind of it's like therapy you know I kind, you know, doing all these interviews in that, I kind of, it's like therapy, you know, I kind of work things out where I realize that I can do a lot of things but I'm not, that doesn't define who I am, you know, I don't know if that's good or bad, it's just the way it is. Like, I directed movies, but I'm not really a movie director. I play guitar, but I'm not really a guitar player.

It's like, and the things he had to go through, to just be able to be himself. Yeah, right. I can't tell you when I just like, I ran out of blow. I'm like, there's got to be just one magical line somewhere left in this house. Starting point is 00:21:59 I think it was it was,too. So you know you were talking about the black market and you know obviously you're it's very famous you went to jail for and I think that there will be a time where people will look back at what you went to jail for and be like what was this medieval times? I think the time is now honestly I mean I mean we're really close but the notion that a grown man a very famous grown man would go to jail for bombs? I figured out why I went to jail. It took me a while to figure it out. Because my name is Chong. Yeah. Think about it. Yeah. If it was Smith's, Jones, you know, long as I'm not colored or...

Starting point is 00:22:47 Or famous. I'm Chinese. You see? I don't look Chinese, I know, but I am Chinese, half Chinese. But Chong, that was the trigger that sent my ass to jail. And that, plus they looked at my record, I got a juvenile record from Calgary. And I know they looked at it because my lawyer mentioned something about it. You know, why didn't you tell me that you had convictions or, yeah, I think it was that.

Starting point is 00:23:18 But anyway, you know, I was destined to go to jail because I was not a white guy, you know. Had I been a white guy, I got a house arrest, you know, but they can put a Chinaman in Japan now, especially now with all the, you know, the Chinese flu and all that shit that Trump started. You know, I, I, I started getting threats on the internet. Oh really? Because I'm Chinese. Oh my God. It's just, you know, you th, it's th, it's th, you th, you th, you th, you th, you th, you th th th th th th th th th th th th th getting threats on the internet. Oh really? Because I'm Chinese, yeah. Oh my God. It's just, you know it's so interesting like, you know, I live in this life where like, I mean, if you say I'm colorblind, I think that's like juvenile, I mean, I see race, but I don't go this race better than that. But there are people who do that, man, for sure. For sure. And it thure. But it's like, no, it's, it was always a pure racist law from the beginning. For sure. Right from the very beginning. Well, all the, all the drug laws are racist. You know, the reason they stopped people drinking was because the Italians were bringing their booze and the French were bringing their booze and the Germans were bringing their beer.

And so when prohibition ended, because these Italians and the Jews and the Polish people, they became in power, you know, enough that they got enough money that they said, you know, screw this. But he got 14 years in prison for using Coke. What it was, he was a caddy. He got, no, his dealer got busted. And so the feds made a deal or the

Starting point is 00:31:30 DEA made a deal with the dealer. Said, give us a name and we'll let you go. And so she gave up my buddy. She gave up Eric. And Eric, and Eric, and Eric, he's a cad caddy. That's all. And he was a user. He bought code, yeah, he bought for some, you know, some of the players. But still, he was not a dealer. He was a caddy. It's a caddy. Starting point is 00:32:23 And well, he blew his whole savings fighting the first one, which he won. And but he lost, and they charged him again. And well he blew his whole savings fighting the first one which he won and but he lost the second one and because he fought it instead of giving him the five years which they promised they said he was going to get they give him 14 years and so when I met him he was in the 11th year of his sentence. Now because because, you know, I don't fight the law ever, you know, when I went to prison, I, I, I, uh, I, uh, I look forward to it, you know, I, I made the best of it. You know, I, I, uh, I, I, turned it into, you know, I, you know, I only got nine months. And so I thought, well, you th, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, I, I, I th. I, I th. I th. I th. I, I, I, I, I, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I, I, th. th. I, th. I, th. I, th, th, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. You know, I turned it into, you know, I only got nine months. And so I thought, well, you know, this, I turned it kind of like into a religious retreat. And in doing so, when you do that, you go along with a program. And so then I became, you know, everybody's friend there, especially the drug counselor.

Starting point is 00:33:25 Because my rap was a drug rap, so I had to take drug education course in prison, which I loved by the way. Oh, that was great. I learned all about drugs that I never know about before. And we hung out together with me and the drug counselor. And we got talking and I started talking about Eric's case. And he said, well, send them to me., I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I the drug the drug the drug the drug the drug the drug the drug the drug the drug the drug drug drug drug drug drug the drug the drug the drug the drug drug drug drug drug the drug drug drug drug drugtalking about Eric's case and he said well send him to me you know I'll get about because you know if he's got a subject's abuse they'll knock off time blah blah blah and so Eric got out he got he's out of jail now he's at the

Starting point is 00:33:57 masters right now but he he's an example now when he was prison, because he's a very smart capable guy, he worked his ass off in all the prisons he was in for no wages, he built missiles, he built all sorts of army gear, stuff like that. That's what's going on now in the prisons. In the prisons. It's slave labor. Like I was getting paid 50 cents a day for picking up a gym equipment. That was my job, you know. Everybody would leave the stuff laying around and I'd go pick it up at night.

Starting point is 00:34:41 And then I had a sign a little thing on the side of the, you know, a little paper saying, put my hours in there. And I got 50 cents a day for that. Well, if you're in there for a few years, you know, that adds up to sometimes $5, you know. But I was in there with a lot of wealthy people too, you know, like the Wolffewliflifliflifliflif, the Wolf, the Wolf, the Wolf, the Wolf, the Wall Wall Wall Wall Wall Wall Wall, to.. to. The to. Well, to. That, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to put, and I'd to put, and I'd to put, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and to put, to put, to put, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the to the the to the to to to to the to to to to the to to to the to to to the to to the to to to to the with a lot of wealthy people too, you know, like the Wolf of Wall Street. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he was my celly for a while. In fact, I helped him write his book.

Starting point is 00:35:16 I didn't help him, you know, what happened is I was writing my book. And Jordan, we shared a cubicle and he would come in from playing tennis and after a while he goes what are you doing I said I'm writing my book oh I'm gonna write a book and so he wrote a few pages and he showed it to me and I you know usually I compliment everybody you know there I'm not a judgmental person but I I knew this guy personally you know and I knew his talent. He was a genius, is a genius. And so I give the hard love thing.

Starting point is 00:35:54 You know, I said, he said, what do you think? I said, ah, you didn't write anything, you know, shit. What? I said, all you did was copy Tom Wolf, you know, bonfires of the vanity. That's the first page. And he got kind of embarrassed, you know, scammers get, you know, and he goes, well, what should I write? And so I said, well, write the stories that you've been telling me every night. You know, every night he put me to sleep by telling me these incredible stories that ended up being the Wolf of Wall Street.. And so, th. And so, th. And so he started writing and writing and next thing I know, we're both out of jail by then and we're both on probation, so we weren't supposed

Starting point is 00:36:39 to talk to each other, but he drove by the house, peeped his horn and he sold up his book because I wrote a book I wrote a book and it's going to be a movie it's gonna be a movie. Well the guy you know he he is you know really talented and there's so many people like him in the system you know that if they handled their energy in the right way they would be straight, you know, that if they canaled their energy in the right way, they would be straight, rich, you know. And yeah, and so that's, that was the kind of people that, you know, that I hobnobbed in prison, you know, but in prison, racism, well, you're all a prisoner, you know, and the thing is, it's a privately owned prison.

Starting point is 00:37:30 There are literally people in jail, in fact, right now, there are people in jail that have been ordered to be released, and the prison just ignores the order and keeps them in there. Because they're private prisons, you see? There's no government oversight. And so, yeah. So that, and they did it. You know, the people, you know, the capitalist did it for a reason because they, they, the, the, instead of the government supplying all the, the, the, the, the, the, the, their, theypil., they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the instead of the government supplying all the the wardrobe and that that goes to a private sector shoes and the clothes the dickies they're quite nice clothes in fact I got a shirt on that that they kind of worn prison a dickie shirts and there's a big, big profit going. You know, private prisons

Starting point is 00:38:28 is a huge, huge profit-making thing. Cigarettes too, right? Don't they have a sort of a special like prison cigarette that they sell in market in prisons? I was really really, well, the one I was in, they eliminated smoking. They wouldn't let anybody smoke. Yeah. Yeah, Turkey too. Yeah, you couldn't smoke cigarettes. And it was really funny.

Starting point is 00:38:53 I was, like I said, I turned it into a religious retreat. So I hooked up with a shaman, you know, like a medicine man. He was a head of the native sweat lodge society and and he grew a herb garden in the grounds and we had a prison, we had an Indian sweat lodge area and it faced away from the prison and it was a, yeah, it was a dome covered hot and you bring hot rocks in and we used to do a it was a yeah it was a dome covered hot you bring hot rocks in and and we used to do a sweat to sweat large thing but he grew herbs and and he turned me on to one called lion's air and if you crumbled up the

Starting point is 00:39:37 leaves and rolled it up like a joint you could smoke it and you would put you to sleep eventually but it would give you dreams that you never had before. I used to call it other people's dreams. All of a sudden you're going, whoa I don't remember that dream and they were pretty intense. No, no we could there were so many things we did. You know because you ever do Shrooms in prison like I've never heard of people doing shrooms in prison like like the thrism. Like I've they th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th could, there are so many things we did. Did you ever do shrooms in prison? Like I've never heard of people doing shrooms in prison, like psychedelics? Acid.

Starting point is 00:40:12 They did acid. Yeah. The fact, that's why the magazines you get. They don't have covers. They don't have any advertising things in it. You know, those little cards they put in. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, they used to soak it in LSD and then put it in the magazines.

Starting point is 00:40:33 And then Terminal Island, one time we were, yeah, Cheech and I performed there. And everybody, everybody was on asset, the whole prison. And they kind of to do because one guy went out and the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, the yard, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And they kind of knew because one guy went out and the yard started howling at the moon. How was doing acid in prison? Because, I mean, acid and shrooms are two different trips, but they're supposed to, they're both psychedelic.

Starting point is 00:41:01 I mean, acid is like pouring liquid psychedelicic intergalactic lava on your head. I mean like it's a different you're seeing different things man. Oh can you imagine and they eliminated bodybuilding the weights in a lot of the prisons especially the one I was in you know know, because they were also smuggling steroids. And so the prisoners, all they had to do is eat and work out and do steroids. And some we got so, so huge, man, that the guards never had a chance, you know, they could tell its big, you know, huge guys, you know, okay, you know, get mine or I'll kill you, I guess, I don't know. You know who banned the weights?

Starting point is 00:41:53 Ooh, Arnold's fortune of your ban weights? Yeah, ban weights in prison? Yeah, what a coincidence, right? There are no heroes, you know, I mean, my God. My God. You know, you know, going back to the slave labor, you know, I mean my God, my God, you know, you know, going back to the slave labor, you know, I'm not really into either side politically Tommy, I'm politically atheist, I don't trust anybody who runs for Washington DC, you know I grew up a Democrat and you know I don't have faith in either party right now. I think they're fighting on the same plane for the same resources, being paid by the same people.

Starting point is 00:42:31 And one of them is Camilla Harris, you know, very famously locked up more African Americans than any other person in the history of California. And one of the things that never really got talked about is how her office argued in court about getting rid of early release and the argument was because it was going to hurt the labor force and how it's going to how was basically as you said earlier slave labor and fast forward to these forest fires these guys are getting out for a dollar to go fight fight like giant blazing forest fire. And fast forward to these forest fires, these guys are getting out for a dollar to go fight, fight like giant blazing forest fires. And then they come out and they can't even apply for that because they're felons. Yeah, oh and why, and like they're already given the felons to jobs,

Starting point is 00:43:19 like they're getting skills and stuff they can't even use on the outside. Starting point is 00:43:53 Because, you know, we're all here together. You know, Timothy Lear used to tell me, in fact, we had an argument about it. His solution was that we have to, you know, get in a spacecraft and leave Earth and go find another Earth and start all over again, you know, and I used to tell Tim, I said, Tim, we're on a spacecraft. Yeah, the Earth is a spacecraft, you know, we don't have to get in a little, you know, aluminum shell and put on oxygen and go somewhere and hope to help we find another one.

Starting point is 00:44:30 Earth, you know, this is it. This is our our spaceship. And then Tim got mad. And one day he goes, oh, you're just like John Lannon. You know, I want to talk to you about the 60s and 70s, man. Artistically, there's an argument. It was the most creative time in our nation and in the world, man. We saw a real, like, a real, I guess, like, rage against the machine in terms of like a pushback against the status quo. Starting point is 00:45:07 You know, you have what the Beatles. The Beatles. Yeah. There's never been another Beatles. You know, massive songs that they sang, you know, about peace, love and everything. I did it all in a decade. I mean, you know, 10 years and out. Amazing. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, and there were, and they, yeah, no, that decade, there was age of Aquarius. Yeah, I remember? Yeah, that was, that was the time, man. And it was, you know, the war really,

Starting point is 00:45:38 you know, the Vietnam War, you know, their opposition to the Vietnam War, you know, and then growing, you were, you were, you were, you were, you were, you, you, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, the war, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and,the Vietnam War, you know, their opposition to the Vietnam War, you know, and then growing your long, hair long, and yeah, that was my era. That was the era I came out of, you know, in fact, I start playing music around the same time, maybe a little bit before the Beatles and the Stones. I had no respect for the Stones because I knew what they were trying to do. You know, they were copying the same James Brown songs that we were a copy. And Mick Jagger, you know, what a great dance about? It was because he was such a lousy dancer that he had his own style. I love that. He was trying to be James Brown, but he ended up just being Mick Jagger. So, you know, he was like the white man's Africa, you know. That's what

Starting point is 00:46:34 England was at the time. It was a white man's Africa. And that's where it all came out of there, you know, because they had all the thing. But the music, yeah, you're right. Like now I listen to it, you know, I try to get into it. I, I, I, I try to, well, you know, because I had to, you know, my son made me. Hey, Dad, we got a rapper coming over. Here's the song. You got to know what you're talking about, you know, when we had her her her her her her her her her her her her her her her her her her her her her here's the songs you got to learn you got to know what you're talking about you know when we had our podcast and so I so I got kind of got into rap but you know I called it before it was rap it was called jazz and Lambert Hendrick and Ross they used to do those tongue twisters and and Dylan himself you know he wrote songs that that if you didn't sing him and you just talked to him it would be rap but yeah the yeah the singer the 60s and that was LSD and we did it now I want to ask you about that it's so you know I'm reading a book right now it's called Chaos

Starting point is 00:47:41 it's about the CIA and FBI's influence on Hey Ashberry, the hippie movement, and you know this whole thing with Charles Manson was in and out of prison when he should never to the point where it almost seemed like he was basically a free-range test subject to see what the influence of LSD and methamphetamines was being sold freely in hate ashberry to see what the effects would be, you know, because they had done it on rats and it was a crazy, like, violence and like just sexual assault was happening in these rats. So they wanted to see what happened in this kind of controlled opposition. Starting point is 00:48:28 I mean like you know I mean like I remember watching Cheech and John going dude this is crazy man and so were you ever like did that did that ever did you ever feel like maybe there was things around you that were not as they said let's say like agent provocateurs anything like that was that something that you that as somebody who was very big at that time or growing up in that time were you conscious of that that was out there oh totally totally that was uh yeah what happened to me I got to tu. that the. What happened to me I. Starting point is 00:49:30 And it would, you know, the jazz club went all night because we never had a liquor license. And so, that's where I'd hung on. That's where I got my education. And then the guy, a Chinese bass player, turned me onto a joint and a Lenny Bruce record. And that changed my life. Because it was Lenny Bruce, really, that opened the door. My mind, you know, because he's doing racial jokes and political joke humor way back. Can you imagine he was, they were joking about Eisenhower. That's how far back he goes.

Starting point is 00:50:08 Eisenhower's jokes. And Lenny did a great joke about, about a kid that bombed an airplane while his mother was in the air and to collect the insurance or something. And can you imagine he did a joke about that? And it was funny, you know. They said, oh mom, don't forget your present. What's in there? Oh, it's okay. You'll find out soon enough. But it's ticking. Is it a clock? Well, for a while, it will be a clock. But don't open it, you know, I mean, that's sick humor, man, you know, that got me. And so when, when Cheech and I got together, and Cheech is, oh, he's like an encyclopedia of humor, you know, because he's got the photographic memory and he can

Starting point is 00:51:08 remember all, and he remembers the funny stuff, you know. And so, so much of that stuff just teaches childhood, you know, the way he grew up, and my childhood, too. You know, the way, because I, when I was a kid, I I was I was hung with a weirdo. You know not not a bunch of but just when and and I could instigate you know because they're kind of crazy. And so I'd be instigating and and that's all I got through school you know making people laugh. And that's how I kept from getting beat up too. Yep, me too. I had a brother that was like three years older than me and when, but the thing he was, I would have to get beat up first and then he would step in. But in order to keep

Starting point is 00:51:58 from getting beat up, I would make people laugh, you know, and and be charming, you know, like Lenny Bruce. That's what his thing too, you know. He was so charming. You did a bit about, that Jew's charming. Listen, let's go listen to him. Let's go listen to him. He's talking about the Holocaust or something. But one Jew that never got killed.

Starting point is 00:52:23 Why, he's so charming. Let's go listen to him. Don't kill him. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was the humor that and that that kicked me in that direction. You know, it was a totally, totally Lenny Bruce. In fact, when Teach night, you know, you knowteach was up dodging the draft in Canada. That's what we met in Canada, and a strip club. I turned a strip club into a improvisational comedy room. And what was great, the girls would get naked, but they would make you laugh first. What a wonderful time. Oh, it was incredible. And that's where I met.

Starting point is 00:53:08 You know the song, Mr. Tambourine Man? Yeah. Well, there was a guy who was a tambourine, and that's where I played tambourine on Dylan's records. And he was the guy that brought the ALST up to Vancouver and around everywhere he went. And it wasn't even called Elstsdee. It was called Try This. And wow, that changed. You know, as soon as I tried it, well, I changed my life. And then I entered up with Motown.

Starting point is 00:53:45 And in fact, I wrote the hits, the one song, The One Motown Song, Does Your Momma Know About me? I wrote that after doing a shot of Coke. I did a couple of hits a Coke. Because that's, you know know you never had too much. I know all about that. These little spoon things, you know, there's enough for a bump where they call it. You know, little little shot.

Starting point is 00:54:14 And you never got a habit because you couldn't afford that shit, you know. So you just somebody had, you know, some of the club, club guys that attended the club, you know, the pimps or the rounders or the the the the the thives thives thives. they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they would they would they would they would they would they would they would they would they would they would they would would would would would would would have they would have they would they would have they would have they would have they would have they would have they would have they would have they would have they would have. they would have they would have. they would. they would. they would. they would would would. they would would. they would would would would. they would. they would. they would. they would. they would. they would. they would. the club guys that attended the club, you know, the pimps or the browners or the thieves, they would have the Coke and get a little shot of Coke and that's what I did. Starting point is 00:54:43 That was great. See, the was a nice high. That was, that was great. See, the whole thing was, you didn't over indulge. You did it, then you didn't do it for a long time, you know. And that's how I wrote the songs and that's, it, you know, created, kicked the, the creative part of me in there. Why is Canada's Coke better than America Coke? I've never understood that. Back when I was doing blow I go up to Canada and the Coke, I'm like, it would just melt in your nose. I'm like, why are you getting better Coke than Los Angeles? It's pure. Yeah. Because uh, I guess just, you know what it was, it probably wasn't any better, but there was so little of it, you know what I mean? So it's a scarcity of it, wow, this is great, you know, because when there's a lot of coke, you know, around

Starting point is 00:55:58 there, it's like, eh, I don't know, you know, coke heads are funny people, they never get enough. Yeah, I don't think I got enough. I don't know. You know, cool kids are funny people. They never get enough. Yeah. I don't think I got enough. Snort the old, you know, Kilo. And then, eh, I don't know. My thing what Coke is that, uh, it just, women love to just let you get weird with them on blow. That was the whole reason I enjoy coke because I knew if I was a chick, she's gonna do blow and we're just gonna light each other up.

Starting point is 00:56:31 And I was just like, I don't know what it is. White girls love blow. I mean, they put themselves in bad situations, right? They'll have one foot in the van going, are you sure this coke in air? Yeah. Like Russia, for instance, you know, that's a mob boss. Putin, you know, he's a very easy dictator. He's the ultimate mob boss, you know, because they're all gangsters. All about Turkey, Korea, North Korea, you know, the kid.

Starting point is 01:00:31 Imagine being his relative. Oh, man. Starting point is 01:01:10 contracts and when you look at Washington you see that way it's a lot easier to digest man we are ran by organized crime yeah well that's the the downpour not downfall I mean that's the kill, not downfall, I mean, that's the Achilles tendon or heel of the free society. You know, because free society means that the mob runs wild too, you know, everybody's free. You know, it's not just the good guys, you know, it's everybody, it's everybody, it's everybody. It's everybody, including, uh, but, but the thingthing is there's a moral element we none of us live forever you know and we're only here for a brief period of time and so yeah you can be a mom you you know, a gangster.

Starting point is 01:02:07 But what's going to happen in your next life? I love this. This is why I want to get in with you, man. Are you a spiritual man? Are you, are you into, I believe in realms and multiple lives and all that stuff? What are your thoughts on all that, Tommy? Totally. It's written. I mean, it's in front of our face. Starting point is 01:02:45 In a physical, in a physical universe, there is chaos, chaos and explosions and physical things happening and change. Everything's changing. And in a physical universe, you need oxygen to live and you need water to drink and you need to eat, you need to feed this human body or the tree or the plant or whatever. It's physical. And if you don't tend to those physical needs, it dies. But when it dies, what happens? It doesn't disappear. It goes the soul, the humans, you know, the spirit. The spirit is spirit, you know, and we are eternal beings. Figure that one out. Think about eternity.

Starting point is 01:03:34 That's a trip. Yeah, I've tried my brain hurts. Eternity is a very long time. There's no time in the spiritual world. There's no time. There's no want, need, or desire in the physical world. And that's why when you go to the physical world, which we all do, we're all from the spiritual world, I mean, that's, we're all there, you know, no matter how evil you are on earth, when you go to the spiritual world, you're not evil anymore because there's no need to be.

Starting point is 01:04:12 Because there's no body. That's some deep thoughts right there, man, because that, on the show we call that black belt. And for me, one of the most black belt discussions you could have is, is there a place in a higher realm for those that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th, th discussions you could have is is there a place in a higher realm for those that do bad things and you're like well well it's interesting no no don't there's a place right here this is where you get born again yeah right here so no when you when you die you become energy you see is there bad electricity?

Starting point is 01:04:47 Even though electricity, you can use an electric turn to kill someone, or you can use it to hurt somebody, or you can use it to run your car or warm your house or to start a fire, you know? So, energy, that's what we are. We are pure energy. But we have a, we have a universal, universal, to, to the, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to, the the to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, that's what we are. We are pure energy, but we have a universal conscious, the mind, the intelligence, you know. And we're learning by the way. That's what a physical world is for, for us to learn, to change, to learn and to evolve. Now you can't

Starting point is 01:05:26 have good without evil. So as good as some people are, they're just bad the opposites are there, evil in order to have one, you can't have one about the other. You see, that's why when you have a physical universe, totally have a spiritual universe, you know. You know, another thing too is that, that I noticed, because I like looking at old movies, you know, old cars and that. And when I see there was a, I forget what it was, I was watching YouTube and there was some, and they went back to the Model T. And then I started looking at the people that drove the Model T,

Starting point is 01:07:19 and they were like teenagers, you know, they're like young kids with a car man, whoa, but they also had horses and the horses were beautiful, strong and and people knew how to handle horses so well because that was what the car was, first of all the car was just a novelty. Ah, that's fine, oh what's the name? He's rich, he's got one of those new penguin cars. But, you know, they'll never replace this trusty horse because the horse is so versatile. They can do all sorts of things. The car can only do one thing. Well, look where we are now.

Starting point is 01:07:58 And time goes on. Time changes everything. But what I noticed, and it really gave me an understanding of eternity, was that the past is just us younger. We were, you know, and they're, like my dad, when I look at his old pictures that, he was a young guy. He was this old guy. He was this old guy. He was, he was this old guy. Starting point is 01:08:58 Because think about it, when you're born, you have to learn how to breathe first. You gotta get whacked on the butt butt, well, then you start breathing. And then you're hungry. You've got to learn how to eat. And then you've got to learn how to cope with movement. And then you've got to learn how to, you know, to suck a titty. You have to be taught back. And some people never forget that one, like me. And that's what this life is all about.

Starting point is 01:09:32 And so when you think about evil, well of course that's their job. I look at our lives like it's a play, you know, and everybody's here to play a role. And then when they leave, they go back to the casting office and say, okay, what's my next role? I totally agree. Then you come back and you grow up and you play another role. And that's why it's hard for me to mourn people that pass because they're fine. It's the people that left behind that, that, that, that, in some case, that, the th, that, that, the that, the that, that, the the that, that, the that, their, that, their, that, that, their, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, their, their, that, that, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their their they, they, they, toda, tote, tote, totally, totally, totally, they, they, they, they, they, because they're fine. It's the people that left behind that that in some cases suffer because they they were so dependent or so loving you know that and only one more thing before I put my little little no I'm loving this we're just chilling. Starting point is 01:10:26 One more thing. When I was in prison, a month before I got out of prison, everything changed from me. People that I were so tight with, they eased away. And by the time I left, I was alone. Because what happens when someone's leaving prison, they're leaving the womb. They're leaving your world. And you're not, you don't know

Starting point is 01:10:58 them anymore. And it was a weird feeling. And this is what happens when you get older too. You have to accept it, that you're no longer in the young crowd anymore. Yes. And as you get older, and I think that's one of the reasons that you get funny looking, and different looking because your job was to produce another offspring. Starting point is 01:11:32 And then your partner looks at you and said, oh, I'm going to hook up with this guy. But as you get older, you start shrinking and looking funnier and that. And I think it's partly so that people aren't gonna feel that loss anymore. And so when you finally die, I've known people that, finally, I'm not thinking they die tanglily. Jesus, forever. And I'm getting to that point.

Starting point is 01:12:01 See, I'm getting to that point now. And so I have to do a lot of, you know, self. Well, I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. Well, I have to find the joy of being who I am. See, that's the key. And when you find the joy, and you know what the joy really is, is what we're doing now is passing wisdom or passing giving people love and you know everything that they need you know what do you need you got it well you know we're talking about the weed you know the weed companies that we're owned my son was just here here, but we're on the verge of

Starting point is 01:12:47 become very, very wealthy because of, you know, the way the weed is going, you know, and my daughter says, oh, what are you going to do with your money, dad? You know, and I sold her, I said, give it away. That's all you can do. I don't need that. I got everything I need. I need. I to, I need it. I got everything. I, you. I, to, to. I, I to. I to. I to to. I to. I to to to. I to to th, I to to th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th very very very very very very, I've to th. As you get old, it turns out, you don't need shit.

Starting point is 01:13:27 You need shit to do. That's what you need. Starting point is 01:15:49 of what you want to worsen. Think about like release cars, you know, when the car gets old and tired, then we junk it or sell it or get rid of it. Yeah, forgive him. And they said, why? I said, because it frees me. I love the feeling of forgiving. That's a beautiful feeling.

Starting point is 01:17:41 Because when you forgive somebody, especially if they done shit to you, then it's all on them. It's nothing to do with you. It's all on them. You get the rewards of being able to have that beautiful feeling of forgiveness, because that is a beautiful feeling. That's what Jesus said. When they're torturing the shit out of them. What do you say? He said, forgive them for they know not what they do.

Starting point is 01:18:10 And and and he's on his way to heaven. And can you imagine, you know, as someone has evolved as Jesus, he probably, there's probably some secret places in the spiritual world where these guys hang out. You know? Green room. And when they come back, you know, there's rewards. There's so much reward for having a pure heart. The reward is having the heart, you know, it reward is having the heart. You know, it's not getting the heart, not only the heart, not, you know, or stealing the heart. It's creating the heart. You create, you create your own,

Starting point is 01:18:59 you create your own sorrow, you create your own happiness. And in the director that gave the talk, he goes, well, I sure didn't expect that. Here's what I told himthem. I told people. I see. The most secret thing in the human body is the mind. See, clinically, you can live without a heart. You can live without a lungs, you can live without a dick.

Starting point is 01:20:22 You can live without feet. You can live without everything except a brain. You can't live without a brain, a mind. And when your brain dead, it's over. But until your brain dead, it's not over. So the mind is where God lives. God lives here. Now, in order to activate the God app, I call it the God app. All you have to do, this is crazy, is think of God. That's all. That's all you have to do. You can't have two thoughts in the mind at the same time. It's proven. Impossible. So, that's what the Bible, that's what the scripture says. Keep your mind on God and everything will happen for you. Now, with me, I use it all the time. I lose my phone. I constantly lose my phone. Okay, where's my phone? Now I don't search for it anymore. I just put my, I close my eyes sometimes or I just think I laugh too because it's silly. I'll say, okay, God, where's my phone? That phone appears. And you know what? Usually it's in my hand. The best. Okay.
