Starting point is 00:11:42 I'm glad you guys enjoyed that. Back to me. Well, we actually, when we did that show, so I worked at Pilgrim Studios or Pilgrim Media Group. They do reality TV like we started, or sorry, as she said, they started Ultimate Fighter and all that stuff. Yeah, Ultimate Fighter, Dirty Jobs, ghost hunters, believe it or not. But I just wound up, like, literally ended up working there. And then within the first two months, that show was already in the works.

Starting point is 00:12:17 So I told him I was like, I literally do this like on the side, like the paranormal stuff. So, do you guys need anything? We're like, have any questions or need to figure out gear or whatever. I was like, you guys can ask me. And literally I became the in-house paranormal investigator at Pilgrim. And for any go show that came out, I was setting up all their gear, testing it out. And then when they would get stuff, they would they would they would they would they would they would they would they would they would their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the came out I was setting up all their gear testing it out and then when they would get stuff they would call the office and ask me how to recreate it or how they how they got it there like it's really weird especially for that show they literally I had a phone call with an

Starting point is 00:13:01 post-production person and she says, hey, so this device, which is actually a device I'll be talking about later, but it's the ovalis. It basically has like a dictionary of words in it that all have like a numerical value. And it said that spirits or whatever are able to interact with the device and pick the number that goes with a certain word and that way they can output things that they're trying to say to you. Well, they literally called me at the tech room downstairs and said, so they got this name and it was

Starting point is 00:13:44 really weird because it was the name of the producer like her last name and the last name and this name and it was really weird because it was the name of the producer like her last name and she there was a first time ever being on set and they'd been running the show for however long so how do we get the device to say it again and I was just laughing I was like you can't you can't. Yeah and she goes what do you mean I like, you can't program that. Like, I even show, I told him, and I'm telling you, like, no one on that crew knew anything about the paranormal stuff. They want you to be paranormal, like human resources and stuff.

Starting point is 00:14:16 That's basically what I was. Like, okay, hi, I'm with the production goes. Can we, can we run it again? Yeah yeah can you say it one more time please yeah that's so you're saying without you there was no expert no one on there had any idea how they they would like there's people who have been doing the show for a really long time but it wasn't like it was it was these people's like thing you know I'm sorry what you mean they've been doing the show for really did it did it get production company

So then you get this, you know, you got this paranormal, and you got these people who are just, and listen, dude, there's nothing wrong making a dollar, right? I mean, but like, there's so many people that would love to be on the show because they love the paranormal, and the, it would, it would shine in the final product. Yep. Yeah, I mean mean that show is definitely a very like cookie cutter with all the other paranormal shows that we had. But like when these women learned that I couldn't make the device say anything, I'm not even kidding. Like the phone went silent and like all here was like scuffling around and like whispering back and then they get back on the phone and say, so you're telling me that you can't make this device going.

Starting point is 00:16:27 So like I'm literally like realizing over the phone that these people like didn't believe, but now they're freaked out and you know, it's like one in the afternoon. But I just told him like if you really want to get a clear audio of the voice, just go on like Google and find a fucking like voice voice generator and type in the word that it said you know like it's close enough that's what this thing sounds like it's just a robotic voice that's just that's what they do I hate to tell everybody every moment on on television is manufactured not that like obviously sports for the

Starting point is 00:17:07 most part is in real I mean if I say it's sports is real be like it's all rigged bro I get it but the action on the court on the field for the most part is happening at real time and it's authentic you know so it's definitely so you've been doing this since you're 15 years old. Investigating, yeah, yeah. I've been filming stuff for like, ever since, I don't know, my parents owned a, like a VHS camcorder. So I started like just filming myself doing dumb shit with that. And then when I could get a camera myself or actually, you know, since I was a kid, when I was gifted like a little point and shoot camera,

Starting point is 00:17:50 I just went around and took it everywhere with me. But yeah, so like, I've been doing that and then we like upgraded cameras into like, like, miniature dv. Yeah, this is a Sony handicap. Starting point is 00:18:27 So my mom actually purchased those, the Sony hand handy cameras and then we would go out and investigate. So like I first started investigating with my small group of me, my mom, my best friend Bill, my mom's friend Barb and then this psychic who we met at a spirit Halloween store. I'll pause for that. What? Yeah, literally. We met this dude at a spirit Halloween store. You just started talking to us. I was like, he worked there. So then we became friends and like

Starting point is 00:19:04 started investigating with him. And then like, if you were into that, that us. I was like, he worked there. So then we just became friends and like started investigating with him. And then like, if you were into that, that's where you would hang out, right? Would not be getting out? So real quick before we get into when things started cooking for you, what was your first experience with with ghost? With ghost First experience I'd probably say

Starting point is 00:20:10 I don't know maybe I was like eight eight or nine I took a trip with my mom my grandma and my sister out to South Dakota and We stopped at like after seeing the bad lands in Mount Rushmore and all the classic South Dakota stuff you go to. We went to this town called 1800 town and it's like this old ghost town basically. And we were walking through there. Remember had like a little point and shoot, you know, the crank cameras, just old film like, you know, throwaway camera. I was standing inside the entrance of this little church and I could see this like, I don't know, people sitting in the, in the pews, right? These people is in like, mannequins. They're sitting in these, the pews is all around. And, uh, in the front there around. And in the front, there was a woman in like an all black,

Starting point is 00:21:08 like veil, like a morning gown. So I snap a picture from outside, and then we leave. I don't really think anything of it. And then later, when my parents, when my mom got the film developed, we actually were looking through the pictures. And in place, and I wish, I don't know where these pictures ended up.

Starting point is 00:21:34 We've had like, I don't know how many floods in the garage and stuff like that, but literally like in place of where that woman was there was actually a Native American woman sitting there with braided hair and she was not she wasn't there before so I don't know I don't I literally don't understand it never did I don't think I ever will and that how matter how much a research. You're like, whoa. That was, yeah, definitely the first time I was like, this is nuts. And then we really just started like watching more of like, uh, just more ghost shows and what not until we decided grow the balls and actually do it ourselves. That must be weird to go and develop pictures and see them later.

Starting point is 00:27:35 No dude I love it I love that you got to that place because I think more and more people are you're going to see a giant brain drain in that world. I mean think they're thinks they're special there's only so much out there when what they don't realize, there's enough for everybody. I think they think they're special. And then if everybody else realizes they can do this too, their own job. But it's also if you take a look at how the industry works, it's built on scarcity. The people at the top keep all the money, the actors who are the biggest actors, thags, thags, fights over scraps. When in reality if you take a look at what's going on with like a Patreon, Rockfin, ads on podcast, I mean all that money used to go to legacy media.

Starting point is 00:28:58 Now it's not and you see a giant drain happening. And the best place, the best example of how much of a talent brain drain the industry is at, have you ever listened to radio commercials or how, or television commercials and see how poorly they are written? They're written so badly now because nobody needs, if you could write something like that, why wouldn't you write your own project? Nobody's doing it. Nobody wants to do it for the scraps they're offering. So they're just getting anybody off the street.

You obviously hear about you know earth energies or elementals and And, you know, I, I, someone sets out to me about like a fairy haunting some place and I would laugh about it, you know, like I just completely did not understand or grasp any other concept really, because that's kind of how the industry, I would say the film industry or the TV industry

Starting point is 00:32:04 has shaped paranormal stuff now. Now it's like you go into somewhere, it's a ghost or it's a demon, but now, now it's also like, it's an ET or an alien, you know, like, or that's what we're looking for. Well, or I guess you could say Bigfoot too, they have like, I don't know how many shows about Bigfoot. Yeah, and they never find them. And I've been shooting in all the conditions, especially when I was at Pilgrim. They would send me out to literally film.

Starting point is 00:33:17 There was an El Nino, one of the times that it came down, literally the LA River off of, oh, shit, what is that it came down literally the LA River off of, oh shit, what is that? Cold water, no? I don't know. Basically North Hollywood was where, is where a pilgrim is, like Laurel Canyon and Spurbank or something like that, if those intersect. Yeah, they do. I can't, I can't remember anymore. But, uh, basically like I went out and I filmed in all different weathers, all different lighting, cloudy, not cloudy. So I've seen normal stuff through the lens, but since I've literally been investigating and filming all my investigations as well,

Starting point is 00:34:01 I've seen like stuff that you shouldn't be seeing through the camera lens and that's like for me, I try and be more logical when I'm reviewing footage or when I'm like listening back to to any audio and it takes a, uh, I don't know, like it could literally be one small thing and it can turn into something huge. Just like even so small, like a small light that just appears out of nowhere. I've seen that. I don't know how many times and, you know, people call them orbs or whatever. Those literally could be anything. And that's what a lot of people don't really like think about.

Starting point is 00:34:49 Is that it could be more than just like, ooh, in energy form into a ball. Well, that could be like some, another form of like a UFO in a way. Or, um, you know, like, there's other things that a lot of people don't don't think about, especially when they're first getting into the paranormal because of all of the, like, jubberish that, that all the shows, you know, give you now like three knocks on the wall. Ooh, that means you got a demon in your house. I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that just like, if you're gonna knock and go into someone's house,

Starting point is 00:35:30 like how many times you knock, unless you're doing like the, da da da, da, you know, unless you're doing that shit, you're usually gonna knock three times. So I don't know how or when or where that turned into a huge paranormal thing with being like That means you have demons. I didn't know that was a thing. I never even heard that now Great now I'm gonna freak out any time I hear three Nah, no, I don't well don't because I mean it it could be anything like you have no idea who's coming in to give you a message

Starting point is 00:35:59 and if you're if you are also to believe that like we have, that we have like spirit guides or family that could come in and out and view us, then why isn't that a possibility of that being what it is? So like when I'm investigating, I'm never really reaching, sometimes I reach out to specific, you know, known spirits or people who've died on the property, but most of the time, you know, the time, you, you know, if you're, if the the the the the the the the the the the th, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, the the the the the the the the the, if, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the spirit, the spirit, the spirit, the, the, the, the, the, the, the to specific, you know, known spirits or people who've died on the property, but most of the time, you literally just have to go in and ask who you're talking to, but also introduce yourself like you're a normal person, and I guess that's really how you start, or how anyone should start investigating. If you're gonna start, is like just go in and try and talk.

Starting point is 00:36:50 I like it, I love everything you're saying. I think it's very interesting. I think like, just like anything in life, there's like the surface area, understanding that people from the outside, you know, look at it, like in comedy, that's why like a heckler will always tell you, oh man, fuck you, you're not funny, right? Because from a surface area, they think they know comedy and they really don't.

Starting point is 00:37:17 And I'm sure that's the same thing with, you know, the paranormal, that there's people coming with very simple understandings of stuff that, and you know, and if I've learned anything in my life, while doing this show for six or seven years, I think it will be six years coming up in December, if I have learned everything, is that where we live is way more complex. Way more, way deeper. And that these basic things that we're told to understand is done purposely so we truly

Starting point is 00:37:53 don't understand all the amazing things that are going on. If you had to guess what, like if you had to guess what a ghost is, what is your thoughts on that? What are your thoughts that a ghost might be? Sorry guys. Well, a ghost. I mean, I still, I mean, I still buy into the aspect of, you know, not, or just crossing over to the other side or getting stuck here, or just literally being that kind of person that wants to stick around and either, you know, fuck with people or just hang out or go do stuff that he hadn't done before. So I would feel that it's our consciousness just out of our meat suit.

Starting point is 00:38:53 So I would say our, the energy that we all are, that's held in us but also comes out as an aura. I would say that is just in its own form a spirit or a ghost I would say like a you could say a dead person you know let's it could be so then again who knows it's just super interesting what could be there's you know I don't know if you've ever had been on our dumb mouse with Midnight Mike, but he's really into the paranormal too and he's also talking about how like Ghost could also be old programs programs in the simulation that are still like kind of rolling. It's super like it's super interesting what they represent. Dude, when I go to battlefields and stuff like that,

Starting point is 00:39:46 it like, it trips me out because I get into the thought process of, okay, well, maybe it's just a dimensional difference. So, and that's either time and space or, you know, frequency, but I mean, it could all be frequency or whatever, but,, but in my view, I guess, when you're at those kind of places in like Gettysburg, and you know, Gettysburg, I don't know how many haunts or how many classic sightings of like soldiers walking around and stuff like that, well, you're in a place that had seen and had crazy, crazy amounts of violence, anger, bloodshed, vibration, penetration of soil. You have so much that goes into a place like that, that I start to like toil in my head of whether what we're witnessing is something left behind, or did these events that happened here and did all these deaths or whatever, um,

Starting point is 00:41:04 cause some sort of ripple or tear in space time where you now, you know, all these deaths or whatever, cause some sort of ripple or tear in space time, where you now, at certain angles or at certain times, it lessens and heightens up where you can't, because I would say Gettysburg is one of the main places. I've never actually been, I've just literally heard, I don't know how many stories from Gettysburg where it's just like a repetition of seeing the same kind of thing. So if space and time or time is linear, then why couldn't you just be witnessed, like almost looking back through time.

Starting point is 00:41:40 No, I get what you're saying. And you know, we just had a doctor Laura Sangher on and she was talking about spiritual mapping and basically along the lines of that trauma has happened in a place so much that it has affected the energy of that place and it's got low vibrational and you know which fits into my my theory that we live in a haunted house and that some places are more haunted than others and that's why you see like the history of Iraq and I'm not saying what happened in them is justifiable or understandable or okay in any way but

Starting point is 00:42:21 we see like a million people with this bullshit invasion on weapons of mass destruction right but then we also hear that many centuries before that Genghis Khan had gone in and did the exact same thing and kill the million like so your question becomes like what's up with that area why is that why is that happening there all the time you talk about where you live, you know, parts of Chicago, and you're just like, you know, it's like that place is obviously something dark is going on there. And then every week it gets compiled with more death and sadness and violence that just keeps compounding itself. And then you get somebody like Kanye West, who hits it big what does he do he moves out

Starting point is 00:43:09 he instantly moves out. Now he's living in Carlsbad or you know or Santa Barbara or where the fuck rich fucks live right? Calabasas right wherever he lives he gets out of there and he moves to another part of the haunted house. So I believe like yeah Gettysburg, death and destruction right there. But I wonder if you went back even farther in time even in a way that isn't even like registered or recorded that if we could go back in time or go through this linear motion that we call time that we would find that if we could go back in time or go through this linear motion that we call time that we would find that maybe there's something happened

Starting point is 00:43:49 there before that there was another somewhat of a slaughter that had happened there and that these areas are like this for a reason that even if you look at somewhere that was like really bad then got good seems to be eventually goes right back to bad again. So you're saying that the land can fuck with people's trauma in a weird way? That there's so much trauma that happens on the land that it almost curses the area.

Starting point is 00:44:14 Oh no, I could definitely agree with that. What does that mean for hospitals though? Dude, hospitals are haunted and shit. But basically the original one, uh, how the guy made it, Bill Chappell of digital dowsing, like, it's so hard, he's like literally a laser like, or a rocket scientist, like this guy like, stop doing that to start making ghost hunting equipment.

Starting point is 00:48:02 And from, yeah, so like, how he explained it to me was super scientific and how I was told to explain it was, it has a database of words that the, that the energies could literally choose like whatever word. And how, you know, like, I don't know how the hell that really works, but the fact that stuff comes up, especially with the device itself. Go on, sorry. Starting point is 00:48:37 It just has a speaker. So like, um, is it, is your thought that it's interacting with the device itself or with the servers? Well, for the phone, I don't know? It's hard to explain because, um, I mean, it's almost like driving your car, you know, like you could do it every day and then it takes that one time like for someone else to run into you or you know for

Starting point is 00:50:07 someone to be having a bad day and like fucking decide to cut you off or whatever just be a dickhead so it's kind of like that where you can go and investigate all these places and you have no idea what's there. I don't the fuck tells you, oh Mary is seen at the top of the stairs wearing a white dress and if you go there at two in the morning maybe you catch her. Yeah I doubt that but maybe I'm sure it's happened. We don't know anything. And I think that's the whole point of understanding this field, is that we don't know anything. So it's just going into it.

Starting point is 00:50:54 You have to be protected energetically. You have to, I mean, you should have some sort of strong faith, whether it's, you know, a religious view or a, um, um, you should, um, you should be, you should have some sort of strong faith, whether it's, you know, a religious view or a, just a literal faith in yourself or faith that you are protected. But I would say, so like, when I was investigating, so I started, like I said, I started when I was 15, and, uh, the first time we ever went out, like, we went out. So I think I had two St. Michael medallions, St. Christopher and St. Benedict and then a gold cross in the center of them. Well, like while I was there, the chain broke, I don't know. All I felt was something to like tap in my back, like someone cold and I was like, what the fuck?

We do this whole thing, I'm telling you, bro, this was like a movie, what had happened that night. I ended, there's this whole thing with this book, where the only thing left of the book was the cover of it, because they decided to do something with it before I showed up.

One was the main house and then one was like the flashback house and that's from Parimal Activity 3.
