So I am actually, I work for the government right now and I'm a mom as well, but about three years ago, obviously, like when COVID started, I started questioning things. And it's so funny because I grew up with such a liberal background, public school, you know, I had teachers that kind of, now looking back, definitely influenced the way I felt about politics, government, that sort of thing. And during COVID, I guess my eyes sort of opened it up,

Starting point is 00:05:53 which I think a lot of people's did. You started questioning things that didn't make sense. And now I'm kind of on this journey where I don't think I want to send my kids to public school, or even private school for that matter................... their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their, I their, I toe. toe. toeck. their to to to to to to to to to politics, to politics, to politics, their politics, their politics, their politics, their politics, their politics, their their their their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their. their their their toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. toeck. think I want to send my kids to public school or even private school for that matter. I don't want the government involved in their education. I've kind of taken a deep dive into where the history of education has come from and I want to homeschooling. But at the same time, I don't because I just never pictured myself as a homeschooling

Starting point is 00:06:21 mom. pictured myself as a homeschooling mom, I don't feel crafty enough. There's a lot to it and we can get into that. So I started, I started talking to homeschooling families when we pulled my four, well he was three at the time, son from daycare when they started masking in New York and started talking to homeschooling families and been doing that for about the last year and a half, and I was like, let's put these in a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. In fact, I, my husband's not, and there were so many times he was like, I don't, I don't know how this relationship is going to work because I was just so pro-Obama and Clintons and would like argue with him, and every time he would have an actual rebuttal with information, I would just get mad and leave. And he's like, I mean, I get that. That is the struggle. When you end up hooking up with somebody. No, I mean I get that. That is the struggle. That is the struggle. When you end up hooking up with somebody, it's almost like should you ask these conspiracy, if you're a conspiracy theor's. Both men or women, or man and man, woman, whatever you want to do, should you ask these questions of like where you fall politically because when we met

Starting point is 00:10:27 Because you're not supposed to talk about it. Like you said you're not. What are your thoughts on that? Cheryl? When do you think a guy should ask a girl about a woman, excuse me? About abortion, vaccines everything. Yeah, you don't want cockpock yourself. Well, but my son, my four-year-old, he's fully vaccinated and I've done everything differently with my seven month old. So, it's, you know, there's a tie that can turn.

Starting point is 00:10:56 No, you gotta be real convincing. For sure. And, well, you know, it's like, here's a whole thing man. Each child is different and you have to look at your family history to see if there's certain things in your family history, and if there are certain things in your family history, there's certain things you shouldn't do. Because there could be trouble down the line.

Starting point is 00:11:20 That's my humble opinion. So, and now I just want to leave it at that that that But but but so so he your husband sounds like he was more on the awakened side. Now was that over time? Was he always like that or did they just a whole situation and we're gonna get a homeschooling but I think this is very important to understand people's journey so so you went from somebody who loved MSNBC into Obama to somebody who isn't. Was your husband always not necessarily right-wing but more politically agnostic? So he's conservative and I was over here the liberal and then I met him and then I went way past him. So to where I'm like how are we going to heat the house

Starting point is 00:12:15 when there's no electricity and let's take out your entire 401k now and invest it in something take all the penalty and like you like, let's fill the bomb shelter kind of thing. So I was only on his plane for a brief time. That's so funny and that's so cool. My question is, was, I understand that COVID was a big awakening for a lot of people, but was there something specific about that that really woke you up to like, hey, man, this, this, either what I'm hearing isn't making sense, the numbers aren't making sense, or just the people who believe in this are super annoying and I don't want to be with that. What was it?

Starting point is 00:12:58 I think about that a lot and I try to pinpoint it and there's a couple little things. Like for instance, when the doctors at the White Coat Summit in DC stood outside the steps, you know, whatever the, wherever they were, and said, you know, we have treated COVID patients with hydroxychlorquin and zinc and as aethromiasin and this is how many it has saved. And we've had no deaths or very few. And Facebook totally took that whole summit off offline. And I don't even know if you could get it on YouTube or whatever. I remember talking to my co-workers on a Zoom meeting the next morning saying, did you guys see this? There was a cure for COVID. And Mark Zuckerberg took it down. And my coworkers were like, yeah, it was dangerous,

Starting point is 00:13:47 dangerous information. And I'm like, but Fauci isn't even like dealing with patients. You're trusting him. You've got people working with patients saying I have a cure. And then Dr. Zelenko, who recently passed away. He was saying the same exact thing. And it's like all these, so the fact that people were just th. th. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th. th. th. that, the that. the the the th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. And it's like all these, so the fact that people were just okay with the censorship,

Starting point is 00:14:11 open my eyes to that. And then I was posting a lot of things on TickTak at the time, and then I got banned for life. So I was like, well, something's up. We don't have free speech here. I think there was something where they said Trump was calling the people racist or something in Georgia, but when you actually listened to the full speech, it was, it was not what the news was saying. So then I was like, okay, now the news is lying to us too. So it's a combination of a few things. Starting point is 00:14:46 and that's a great jumping off point because we can really get in there you know there's so much about like just your journey right now and like I mean like I don't know I don't want to get too much off of homeschooling because I think it's important but it's very interesting when people have children how their views change and that there's this deep population thing is going on right now and people aren't having children because it's just chaos and what's going to do to future the future population that all these what's that high value people are not having children it's gonna do a lot of damage you know how you said like you had kids really late and you're like you say it's the best thing that ever happening imagine if you

Starting point is 00:15:32 were a female you would have been too late for you 100% it would have been way to like you were having it later but not when I had no I would not it you're a I mean I'm 39 and just had a baby yeah I didn't have a to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. Well did you see that guy in the, I don't know if he's a congressman or a senator but he's 71 and just had a newborn? Who's that Theo Vaughan's dad? Yeah, I can't remember. The dude was, the dude was 71 though and just brought him out into like like Simba in the Senate floor

Starting point is 00:16:26 and like held him up. It was really strange. Yeah, well, I mean, like kids are a blessing. So, you know, you get a little more conservative man as you as you, as you have. John Hick and looper. By the way, if I had to guess a name for a guy who had a kid at a baby, Hick and Looper is totally the name I would go with. So we get a little more conservative as we get a little older and like you know I want to get into your public school education because for me I am so blessed I am so blessed

Starting point is 00:16:55 in my career and where I am but school and I don't hate teachers because my parents were teachers and I know and I know that they cared my mother to my father cared so much my father cared so much and the and and th th th th th th th th th and like th th th and like th th th th th th th th. and like th th th th. th th th th. My father cared so much. And they did the best of what they could. Okay? I think if I tested today, I'd probably be autistic. You know, I definitely be on the spectrum for sure, without a doubt.

Starting point is 00:17:20 I think most of us. Starting point is 00:17:54 There was no, I was looked at as a trouble child, and they had a lot to do with just some outside circumstances. I looked at the trouble, like kids that I hung out would blame me for anything that went wrong and their parents would totally believe it. So I was like that and I just, I wasn't like the best reader, still not the best reader. And so I always felt like there wasn't a place for me in society. And now, lo and behold, I'm doing very blessed because I wasn't taught to play to my skills.......................... the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. the the toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. their. their. their. their. their. their. It was the first time somebody encouraged me to lean into who I was. And so tell me about your, so school isn't necessarily there to educate you. It's more there to train you to follow rules. But we'll get into that. But tell me a little bit about your public school education. So I grew up, actually not far from where you grew up, upstate New York and that's where I met you actually you're doing a comedy show

Starting point is 00:19:13 in Saratoga a few months back. Oh yeah, she went to Howie's recording. Yeah, yeah, what he's taping right now. Yeah, yeah. And it was really funny because on the way there I was like, oh, oh I'm gonna meet Sam so we have to hurry. It. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm like, let's haul her off with someone. We're going to see Sam. But so yeah, I grew up like, you know, not in New York City or anything, but upstate New York. It was more of an inner city school. And kind. the, the, the, the, the, the, there, there, the, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It was like, th. I was, th. I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was th. I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I was th. And kind of like you were saying, there was a lot of classes, I guess, to maybe choose from. I don't know if I even really had the choice, but, you know, they give you what you kind of have to take, your core classes. And yeah, I never really felt like I had a place in there.

Starting point is 00:20:04 There was, you know, like in English. They'd give you the book. I don't know that I ever read one of the books that they gave us. But you could still pass the test, you know, so you are trained. It's all about training you to take a standardized test. And the better kids do on the tests, the more funding the school gets, so they want you to do well on the test, so they find ways to make sure that you do.

Starting point is 00:20:29 And, you know, yeah, I wasn't a great student. I wasn't like the worst, but I definitely did not graduate, feeling like I knew anything. And I remember even like watching the teolk. too, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, t, t, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tha, tha, tha, tha, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, tak, tak, ta, ta, ta, ta, ta, ta, ta, ta, ta, ta, ta, tauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu., ta, t news thinking, all right, I'm gonna educate myself. What's going on in the world? And I turn it on and I'm like, well, how do I rewind at the beginning? I don't know what they're talking about. So it's like where do you start studying like who gets pushed for?

Starting point is 00:20:52 And again, dude, teachers are trying. They're doing the are trying. They're doing the best they can. And they have bosses and their bosses demand stuff because their bosses demand stuff. And this is not an anti-teacher show in any way. I'm pro-teacher. I also think, you know, Instagram and Twitter comes like Lib's a Tick Tock, as much as I enjoy seeing that, it it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and th. Starting point is 00:21:27 it also does a lot of damage because that's making you think that that's the norm when I honestly believe that it might be not a small minority, but not a not everybody, not everybody, right? I mean, like, I don't think everybody's blue hair at the school, but they are pushing an agenda, obviously, but I think that highlights maybe profiles most of us would never have seen if it wasn't for Libbs and Tick Tock. Yeah, like, I remember, um, my history teacher, who I looked up to a lot. You know, it was during the Bush and Gore election, and she would refer to Bush's little shrub.

Starting point is 00:22:13 So little things like that I think were ingrained in me on how I should think. I went to the University of Albany, and I know they wouldn't let Turning Point USA come to the campus to do any sort of, you know, promoting or speeches because it may just said it, oh, it's a racist group. My professor, and this was like the first class I took in college, she would spell Bush like the beer, B-U-S-C-H every time intentionally. It was just like, as soon as I was like, okay okay this is different. My college was super liberal you know UNC is like super super liberal. They mostly are. Well and the big cities are we were talking about us on the last episode with Zach but you know I mean like this is part of the the you you know global agenda is a hurt us into these giant giant know, cities and make it so we all have to work in corporations, corporations pay the best, and if you don't play ball with your corporations and your neighbors, you become ostracized very quickly.

Starting point is 00:23:17 And then you believe in overpop population. And we've seen with these studies when they, with rats rats when people get too many people in a small area We start to change as a species things start to change gangs Alternative lifestyles all that stuff starts happening when you're herded into big cities It's a free-range psych ward. So and when you look at kind of the history of education, like the Rockefeller's infiltrating the education system in the early 1900s, I know you've talked about on your podcast before how they infiltrated the medical field,

Starting point is 00:23:57 but they also got into the regular schools as well. And it was kind of like, we'll give you funding for your school and exchange just put some of our people on the school boards. We can kind of keep an eye on what you're doing. And then it turned into, you know, every textbook said Rockefeller on it. Um, and, you know, I don't know if you've ever heard of like John Grotto. He wrote, uh, dumbing us down and really gets into into how the true intention of the school. the school. school. school. school. school. school. the school. the school. the school. the school. th. Starting point is 00:24:30 because they only started about 120 years ago. We think it's been like forever, it hasn't. And it was brought to us as we're going to get a equal playing field for everybody. But when you look back on it, a little bit, the rich class got a little bit bigger. The poor class got huge. So it didn't do this equal playing field that it was intended to do.

Starting point is 00:24:57 And what it actually, what they wanted to do behind the scenes, which is why they brought about the school system the way it is, is that they wanted to create the obedient worker. And that's what the test taking is all about. Can you memorize? Can you take a test? Can you listen to what you need to do? And since I work in government now, I'm very familiar with, you know, the civil service examsests. And if you do good, you'll make more money someday. Do you qualify for the position? It doesn't matter.

Starting point is 00:25:28 Just do well on this standardized test. And it's really crazy when you start opening your eyes to it. I mean, so much of how the public school is structured is just like a factory. Mm-hmm, right? And I think all that is by design. And this is because they don't want you paying attention to what is really going on. And in New York and California and three other states, they've taken away the choice. So what I kind of emphasize on my show is that there are five states that removed the religious exemption which allowed you to say, you know, cherry pick kind of, I'm okay with this vaccine, but I want to hold off on that one for my kid.

Starting point is 00:38:37 They can still go to school in those states, you know, in the states that have a religious exemption if, you know, you claim that you have this exemption. But in our five states, your state, my state, we can't. Your kid just can't go to school and they can't go to private school either. Starting point is 00:43:15 women are the mother hens, they have, you know, they have, like if they put their foot down on vaccinations, it's happening. You're, you, I mean, I've heard story. The craziest one I heard I heard a kid was at school and the school gave the kid the vaccine without the parents permission and well and that's yeah one of my reasons that I would fear one the parents freaked out it was all over, you know, all over our news. And then when you go to these pediatrician appointments, there's informed consent is laughable because they tell you what vaccines you're getting that day. And then they send you home with the information once your child already has the vaccines. So it's at that point to tell a mom,

Starting point is 00:47:53 like you made a bad choice with your child, moms don't want to hear that. So I, and I'm sure there are studies done by people who are funded by Pfizer and whoever else that say the results of, you know, the results of the study were good, but they also like to turn off studies before, you know, 100%. Yeah. This study fell down. If we stop the study on Thursday and Friday, everybody died, we're just going to show you,

Starting point is 00:48:28 you know, the study ended Thursday. It was all good. So this study, this study found this. I'm like, well, okay, first tell me, how much, who funded this study? Who funded it? That's almost as, that's probably more important than the actual findings in the study. If Pfizer is funding this study, Pfizer wants a certain result. Yeah, and if they don't get that result, I'm pretty sure they don't publish whatever the fuck they want it. And you never get funding from Pfizer again. Like where we used to have the families where you know dad worked, mom stayed at home to take care of the kids. And that culture has definitely changed. They now had 50% more taxes coming in for them to spend and they got a hold of our kids sooner because after six or eight weeks, you know, they're expecting mom to be back to work....... to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. to their. to their. to their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their. So it's really interesting when now that I'm, you know, home and like I said, I'm doing everything different with this child because I'm nursing her and I never had any support with my son so that poor thing was on formula. There's anything wrong with it. But you know what I mean? There just was no support.

Starting point is 01:00:28 I felt like I didn't have a choice really for my sanity. I was like, you know, this time around I, you know, I skipped the pediatrician because they were no help last time and found a really good lactation consultant. And it's just so funny when you think about pumping, going to work, pump at work, give your kid whatever's

Starting point is 01:01:12 out of, you know, what you've pumped out of the freezer if you are lucky enough to breastfeed, but it's just this crazy dynamic that how do they expect this and you know but, thinking about the government behind all that, I'm like, oh, There's a job nobody told me about in high school, by the way. Lactation consultant, I wish I'd known about that job in high school. I mean, whatever you want to say, I can say so much, you know, like me and the mother of the child, you know, we've had our differences, but I make no illusions like when she was feeding those kids, she was going through, like, she, that

Starting point is 01:01:50 was work, like, and you have to respect that. And like, I always did that, and I, you know, and it's like, you know, you're totally right about what the woman's movement has done to women. And again, like culture is not your friend. It's not real. Culture is the opposite of nature. Everything, you look at what culture pushes on people, it's the exact opposite of what they should be doing. And people don't, because's again easy versus simple.

Starting point is 01:02:26 Easy, just quick fix, gives you that quick adorfin hit and you're addicted. Simple is like nature. And it's simple because it's the fundamental building blocks of life. Which is, you know, eating proper, spirituality, you know, love, you know, loving yourself, loving nature, and where do you get time to do that with your family, when you have them, when you're working all day,

Starting point is 01:02:57 your husband's working all day, or if you're a single parent household, your kids enrolled in three different sports, you're picking them up on your way home from work, you're running into the fast food joint, right? Because that's like you got to feed them and that's what America has laid out for us. And you think you're a good mom because, well, they're in soccer and they're in swimming and they're, you know, everything else. And I mean, I'm not putting any of that down down down that is what I always thought what being a good mom was. And now I just have this different perspective of if I can be home, I mean, I haven't committed yet. I still work for the government, but I'm on an extended maternity leave right now.

Starting point is 01:03:38 But if, and I had issues with work because of the whole vaccine thing. And my, my conservative views. So there's of the whole vaccine thing. And my conservative views. So there's a whole lot going on there. But regardless, when we can take that breath and like, let's make a nice nutritious dinner for our family and sit down at a table and you know, I don't actually do all this right now, but that is what I'd like to do. We sit down for dinner, but, you know, usually the TV's on and whatnot, but it's like, how many moms are or dads are like doing that rushed

Starting point is 01:04:11 lifestyle? You're picking them up from 85 sports and you got to just give them like whatever, you know, McDonald's is on the corner, KFC and you know, then you're off to the next thing and then you go to bed at night and you didn't get any time to talk to your kids or instill your values in them or what you'd like them to learn. It's really a vicious cycle. What it was really like scary to me as a father of three-year-old is this perception of disciplining children and being stern with children. I think we've we've strayed so far and listen man women mothers are doing a wonderful job they're very hard there I think we've gotten somewhat away from the yin and the yang of it where

Starting point is 01:04:55 fathers and mothers have like are like saying everything I think it's I think this is our society too has been has gone very heavily to the feminine gone very heavily to the feminine side and that's fine and that's good It's in a lot of ways, but there's also part of like that that this movement into like being your kids friends Not making them upset, you know, coddling them, being overly safe with them. They can't feel any boo-boos, they can't feel any failure, they can't feel any of that stuff, and that's a very much, and this is what I always talk about, is that men make the rules of business,

Starting point is 01:05:37 women make the rules of society. And a lot of this political correctness stuff is trying to take the rules of society and put it into business. Well the raising of children you know which has been predominantly female but there's always that wait when I grew up wait to your dad gets home. Wait your dad gets home everyone's getting their ass beaten. That doesn't happen anymore. Everyone's got to have talking it out. All these therapists are like, talk to your kid, happy, understand what you're getting? And like yeah I get that. I do get that. But there's also like I'm not your friend, I'm your dad. And we don't do this shit. And sometimes I talk like that to my kids and I look up and all the parents are like having this weird look at me. And I. And I. And I, and I, to to to to to th. And I, th. Starting point is 01:06:50 Yeah. And she throws something out of the kid or something. You'll grab her and talk about it. I was just gonna say, we need to fear our parent, or kids need to feed their parents, and we don't need to fear God, a little bit more, right? Do you think that goes back to all those videos you see on Twitter or on Twitter where the student ends up finding the damn teacher? No, that's no parents. That's no dad.

Starting point is 01:07:18 That's what I mean, that's how you get those kids with nothing, no time, hate stop doing that, respect authority. I don't think you should beat children. I think you should discipline children. You know, there is this fine line between like just being a real piece of shit with your kids because hurt people, hurt people. And like for me, and I can always speak for myself, I can't speak for any other parent out there. But for me, it's like, I'm very much into stopping the generational th children, th children, th children, th children, th children, th children, th children, th children, th children, and th children, and th children, and th, and I can always speak for myself, I can't speak for any other parent out there, but for me it's like I'm very much into stopping the generational trauma. Starting point is 01:08:30 And that's after you've done it all, right? Why, why don't you do anything? I'm letting her cry it out. But that's because you've done everything at that point, right? Yeah, well, you've had the connoonsi. Yeah, well, you're a tiny baby at this mosque, kids cry for three reasons. They're tired, they're hungry, they have a poopy diaper. That's why they cry.

Starting point is 01:08:52 And they know over time it becomes condition that when I cry, this giant thing comes and takes care of me. So as they grow older, they try to keep using that. And then they start getting good at acting and putting on acting. My daughter can cry at a drop of like that and then bang they're off like they she doesn't she's got down a lockdown. And I have to be like this is not how we act. We don't do this. Yeah I can see that a lot. And what I think of like teenagers today and adults too, there's just not enough hard work going on. You know,

Starting point is 01:09:32 everybody wants to play the victim. But it's like these kids haven't like been out there, you know, hauling manure and you know doing the real hard jobs or, you know, we want to talk about like reparations going on for, you know, hauling manure and, you know, doing the real hard jobs or, you know, we want to talk about like reparations going on for, you know, slavery decades ago and, like, nobody's caring about, like, the kids in the Democratic Republic of Congo that are like forced to mine for the cobalt for, you know, our iPhone batteries and for the electric car batteries. Like, those kids, they know hard work. And I you know just even talking about the homeschooling stuff like what, I mean, when you think of the difference, I don't know, sitting in a classroom for six or eight hours a day, say six hours a day, you know, but if a parent's going to be at work, you're sending them probably to before school and aftercare and all that stuff. So, you know, you're sitting there all day and then you have to go home and do more homework And it's like where are you even you were talking early about everybody having, you know, autism and stuff or ADD, I guess, And like, where are you supposed to get out those inner, of course we all have it because we're stuck in the seat,

Starting point is 01:12:20 learning stuff out of a context so it's not even making sense to us. Like, why are we learning this? Well, you're learning it for a test, really, because they're not putting it in context for you. Um, it's, you know, it kind of makes sense that it all kind of goes awry after 13 or 17 years of that, right? Yeah, I mean, what, dude, all this, all of this is like, there's no surprise. There's no surprise how this is ending. This is exactly how it's meant to end. It is, it is the Bolshevik revolution. Now, I want to get into you with you before we start getting into the real effects of feminism and feminine men, but I want to tell you, what are some reasons for homeschooling? And why is it growing?

Starting point is 01:13:08 All right, so it has grown. I looked at the stats from like 1999. There was 850,000 homeschoolers. Now we've got over 3 million in the United States. And like for me personally, I mean, my fears around it, like the reasons that I'm actually like scared to send the, or scared, scared to, scared to homeschool because you know, we all have that persona of what home schooling is. And you know, like are my kids going to be weird? Are they going to be able to

Starting point is 01:13:42 socialize? You know, when we think back to like our days in school, the homecoming dances and the football games and, you know, like, dating, that sort of thing. You know, those are things that I'm kind of sad, like if they were to miss out on. But then I look at it and I'm like, do they even exist anymore? I don't even know if they have homecoming dances. It's like all done virtually. But you know, then we look at what's going on in the schools. But here, I just want to say something about that. I am 50 years old.

Starting point is 01:14:16 Do you know how many times I think back to my prom, my catian, I guess what? None. Nothing. Oh man, I'm the whole opposite. That's all you think about. I had a great high school area if my kid didn't go to high school, I would want to homeschool them right to high school. High school, you got a great time. No, I'm not. No, no, no, but see, I think you have a misunderstanding of what homeschooling is now. There's there's like my good friend she has Candace she runs a homeschooling school. How many people? 30. I mean that's is that enough people?

Starting point is 01:15:52 Yeah. Yeah they go out they do stuff they meet stuff they go and then they go to all the do all these events that we're talking about learning about what's in the forest how to do this how to do that. Starting point is 01:16:45 kids who went to private school. Yeah, there were the ones running Hollywood into the ground. But they just weren't socialized, you know, there's a little holier than now and then, yeah, I mean, it's, again, I get shit from people. He's like, the answer is? I don't think there's a thing I don't think there's an answer. Yeah there's no answer. It's super woke up. We never did gender studies. Starting point is 01:18:45 got a victory stop that they are relentless because it's all most of it is being done by really unhappy people that their their need for fight or flight is being itch by fighting for the one transgender kid in the county. Would you say earlier that when a woman doesn't have a child, that she dedicates her life to fucking... Well, how do you say it? She takes her motherly love that she would have for children if she didn't have children, and she puts it on the world.

Starting point is 01:19:17 So she starts fighting these windmills of climate change and... You said they're relentless. They're not going to give up. They have nothing better to do. I'll just rest my case on this. I'll say that I think there is some, a real advantage granted to kids who grow up with some adversity. Well, let's give her a chance to give the reasons why people are homeschooling. And I've actually recently had on a woman who wanted to homeschool and was talked out of it and she explained all about her struggles with the public school system. But yeah, you know we have the CRT and you, the whites are bad in the schools and, you know, they're kind of taken out God, like even the Pledge of Allegiance is taken out of a lot of schools. Cursev, writing cursive. Sam, you talked about this on your podcast last week. Cursef is being taken out of schools. What did the founding fathers write our documents in? And some kid is going to be more interested in the solar system while someone else is more interested in, you know, dissecting frogs. And it kind of limits you on what you're able to actually get into, without providing you a basis of like, these are all the jobs out there and, you know, let's really get into that or let's get into things that you might need to know to help you out when you're an adult, like the stock market and learning where to

Starting point is 01:22:09 get information on what bills are being passed in Congress or even locally to you or what do the jobs that you go to vote for. Like I have no idea. I never really learned how to vote locally. Yeah, and like, you know, it's like, everybody is like, so, so I've said this before on the show, but like, Dana would talk about, she's always like, I don't know how my mom ran, you know, took care of four kids by herself. I'm like, because that's all she did back in the day. Mom's took care of the kids,

Starting point is 01:23:14 dad's went out to work, and dad went work his one job and maybe had a side hustle too. Like, because everything, everything paid well and they could afford it. This gets into why I was telling you, Johnny, the game has changed. It's completely different. Now it's like people making less money, working more, having to eat quick, eat crap. It's all done on purpose. This is all part of this job, right, of what they're doing to dumb us down and make a eat more toxic food and lower our frequency. Like dude I can tell when I haven't worked out for a week I am depressed. And you brought up earlier you know it's like this is all being done to lower our our our frequency

Starting point is 01:23:57 make us stupid and yeah so are they still doing PE I heard they cut back on that too a lot physical education. Oh good lord I don't well I've heard they've cut back on that because it it brings a focus on the body, you know, and the physical differences between kids and make some kids feel like less athletic. Starting point is 01:25:08 Okay, that's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about. So, any other reasons to homeschool? Well, so, I've only had women on the podcast so far, so I'm really searching for. And I know a homeschooling dad who quit his job to homeschool his daughters, but I have not convinced him yet to be on the show. So, but for anybody that does homeschool, contact me. Starting point is 01:26:05 California and she transitioned families from the public school life to the homeschooling life, like after the passing of SB 277 when they took away the religious exemption for the vaccination. So you found a lot of homeschooling families that didn't want to be homeschooling families. But, you know, they they weren't going to send their kids their kids their kids their kids their kids their kids their kids to their kids to homeschooling families. But, you know, they weren't going to send their kids to school because now they had to have their kids fully vaccinated. Even as religious families, you know, if they didn't believe in it, it doesn't matter anymore in these five states. I had on Katie, who is a curriculum consultant and she talked all about curriculum, why what she uses, why? And that was such a wealth of information. I had on Heather who from Minnesota,

Starting point is 01:26:49 she was a member of the school board and she chooses to homeschool her kids. So that was a really interesting conversation because you know, there's a little controversial I'm sure. Kiva was from Vermont and she was homeschooled herself as a kid and kind of talked about what she didn't like about it. However, she did choose to homeschool her kid, her kids, and she talks about what she does differently. Like I said I had on a woman from Georgia, I just had on Tia who does this whole unschooling approach, which is more, you look at the child lead and, you know, really get down in the dirt and kind of discover things and that's how you base, you know, their whole education, at least in the early years.

Starting point is 01:27:32 You know, it has to get more regimented as they get older. But there's so many different ways to home school that I never knew about. And so it's really been like a breath of fresh air. And I think what we always think of as homes as homes on the weekends, prepping for the week and getting out like, you know, the fabric and the scissors and the glue. And I'm not like that at all. I'll like get on the floor and play like a little bit. But then I'm like, okay times up,'s it's a lot but there are some moms that love it and they're like famous on Instagram for it but I don't I'm not that way so homeschooling to me was very intimidating but as I talk to these families and these are just the women I've had on

Starting point is 01:28:22 the podcast I've been talking to families for a year and a half. And like, there is some who, you know, a lot start co-ops. Like your friend started at school and I'd love to talk to her about that. I'd love to do something like that around here. I had the same issues with like, will we be socialized? How will he get girlfriends? My daughter too, I mean she's seven months. I'm just gonna lock her in a grade. She can't socialize her meeting any guys. So, okay, for news today. I have, this might be, this might be like too ahead for you.

Starting point is 01:28:51 But like, is there a curriculum? Like, how do they get to college? Do they have to, I mean, is there, how do you know this kid is like up to par with the other eighth graders? How do I know I'm keeping them? I'm smart enough to keep them on that level? So I had, I interviewed Brooke last night. I haven't released the episode yet, but she was a former teacher and I asked her the same thing. I was like, is there a list of just like, your kid needs to know this by the end of elementary school. And you know this but and there isn't. Every state which I get into on the podcast because you can see they're from all over all different states.

Starting point is 01:29:32 Every state has a different requirement. Like in New York you have to let the state know at the beginning of the year what you plan to do and every quarter you write what you've done. And I think Georgia it was, every three years your kid takes a standardized test and that's it. And I think you pick the test. So there really is nothing. And when I think back to what I knew when I graduated high school, I mean, I got into high school. I mean I got into college. I don't know that I would have been able to

Starting point is 01:30:12 like do any sort of skill. The recent criticism I've seen in college is that they're moving away from standardized tests and meritocracy and more towards you know selecting students based on their gender and profile, you know, upbringing. So, but there's got to be some place between that, right? That's the answer, between because I don't think standardized tests are the answer either. But there's got, you know, you know, I mean, but we can't also just base it on your, your, your ethnicity. I also think college has become just useless. It's a fucking joke. I'm sorry. No you're right. Like I mean what did I get out of that besides a drinking and drug problem? Debt. I mean I mean like how many people actually go... HPV probably. Yeah I mean yeah or

Starting point is 01:30:55 STDs, okay but everybody, how many people actually go into their occupation that is what they they went to school for? I mean it doesn't happen. Right. And it's just like, right. And it's, I mean, kids are just devastated when they don't get in. I think like Marr or Olive, John Oliver, somebody did a thing about how tied up kids are into getting in a college around the time of that. Remember when the celebrity mom out here tried to get her kid in the U.S.C. or whatever?

Starting point is 01:31:56 Yeah, it was the dumbest scandal. Apparently, I mean, apparently it's really like cutthroat stuff getting into it. By the way, anybody, how funny, somebody put out the funniest tweet at which I remember it, that whole scandal where the mom who was on full house went to jail. I can't remember, and the tweet was, imagine being so dumb your mom got sent to jail, that's how, it was such a funny as threat.

Starting point is 01:32:20 But you know what's really creepy about that story? It's like, when the whole scandal broke out, that mom's daughter was on a yacht with all the USC board of trustees, like, what is going on there? What is that? That's creepy and shit. That's never happening. Why not, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,. Why not get off the boat? Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, not going on the boat.

Starting point is 01:32:48 Nothing good happens on the boat. Yeah, like I'm with Johnny, I thought kids weren't trying to go to college no more. And I was at in and out, and I heard these, exactly what's what's saying, so and so got here, And it was like, they're, you can hear it in their voice. But I'm like, how do you hear that when you hear everybody talk, like the way we talk about it? I heard you heard a podcast saying why to go to college. They haven't heard that.

Starting point is 01:33:09 Huh? They haven't gone through life. Well, you've seen our listeners actually. It's not, you know, 18 year old girls. So let's say somebody wants to go into homeschooling where should they start?

Well, so there's tons of curriculums too depending on what they're into. If they're not into arts and crafts, there are curriculums that are completely laid out for them. We have the internet now.

Starting point is 01:34:51 There's a lot of curriculums. They can do right online. So the, you know, the mom or dad really is minimally involved, but you know, you know what they're learning. So that's a big thing. And you know, they're like, you need to start working with your kids on flashcards. So I'm trying to like do flash cards. I'm like, come on a week in home school. You know, and I'm like, what letter is this? You know, and I'm like, what letter is's the letter T and, you know, two minutes later. What letter is this?

Starting point is 01:35:46 At seven? At seven months? At seven months, you're doing that? Oh, no, no, no, I have a four-year-old. Oh, yeah, I got started to do. My kid, yeah, I'm just like, oh, man. this symbol, is my kid, the the the the the the the thu. thi. thi. thi. We don't know who is behind Q. Why would you think that we wouldn't know who's behind Q?

And your husband takes over that or on the weekend. If both parents work, I have talked to people who bring in, like if the mom works from home,

Starting point is 01:57:18 or a dad works from home, a sitter can come in, and either you can pay them to tutor your child or Sam, I don't know what your friend does. I think you said her name is Candace, but there are these like pods and co-ops where, you know, parents trade off on, you know, is say I work part-time. And on my days off, I can take five kids and teach them different things, you know, whether reading, writing, or whatever, and then maybe on the two days that I work,

Starting point is 01:57:49 they go to one of the other parents' houses and if they're better at math or you know, they might enjoy that stuff more, you know, trade-off on those sort of things.
