Starting point is 00:09:09 at their phones. Everyone shares the world with everything they do now. I mean, these tech people have everyone under a spell. And I basically just document this by showcasing one spellbound idiot at a time. You're awesome at it too. You're so good at it. And I think it's so hilarious what you do. And you know, it was very interesting because I had this thought and then I go, oh it's great we got, you know, Joey B. Tunes coming on tomorrow, which is the perfect time, which is the desire and craving to go viral is literally a race to the bottom.

Starting point is 00:09:49 It is a race to the bottom. Well, that's why I said that the mindset that's going on today, I truly believe there's a mental health issue that's not being addressed in the country. I mean, let's go into this. Let's take the obsession with social media for instance. I mean, these phones have become like another body part for a lot of people. They can't live without it. People live on these things. Society is under a spell. I mean, remember running around as a kid playing outside with your friends, falling down, getting dirty, making memories. The kids growing up today, their memories will be things that they did on their iPhone and

Starting point is 00:10:29 tablet. And have you seen what happens when you take their devices away? They'll assault you. Have you seen all these teachers getting beat up by students for taking their phones? I could agree more. It's like their baby bottle. Yeah, I couldn't agree more. I have two daughters. Dude, most kids... Yeah. Go on, sorry. I have two daughters and like when they don't get their, their iPad, they lose it. My nephew, they had to throw, he had a hand me down iPhone from my dad that he foolishly gave to him and they had to throw it in our lake in front of him so that he would understand that like, hey, it's

Starting point is 00:15:12 I hate disciplining my kids. It hurts my soul, but I know if I don't do that right now, they're going to become monsters. And if they think they can do whatever they want, and do, and do,they're gonna, they're just gonna scorch the earth and I can't do it anymore. I have to, I have to put my foot down. And it's just. Yeah, it's crazy, man. It's as if these kids don't really have a concept of what it took to build our society. It's almost like a complete disregard to all the effort everyone that put in before them to really create a cohesive society.

Starting point is 00:15:46 Because if you don't have a cohesive society, then you get what you have now. It's just pure chaos. I mean, and honestly, adults really are no better. I mean, it's not just the kids. I mean, you could just take a byproduct of what we're talking on. Just at the smallest scale, just take selfies for instance. I mean, just the obsession with s obsession the obsession the obsession thoss obsession with s obsession with s obsession with sss the obsession with ss thi s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s a thiiii I mean just the obsession with sharing a photo of your face wherever you are. Some people this is their whole day where they take a photo and then they edit it all day and their wall of their Instagram is just filled with pictures of their face. I mean like I always use this analogy to put it in a perspective. Imagine walking down your steps in

Starting point is 00:16:19 1982 and you see a trail of photos at your feet leading into the living room. You look to the right, your daughter is standing there with a polaroid camera snapping photos of her face, pictures flying out of the camera all over the floor. You could call the doctor. Something's wrong with Annabelle. I mean, imagine working at a one-hour photo place in the 90s. Guy drops off a roll of film. You'd thi thi. place in the 90s, guy drops off a roll of film, you're developing the pictures and one by one every photo is his face.

Starting point is 00:16:46 You'd think the guy was a serial killer. You'd at least call your manager, probably the authorities. Now everyone's camera roll on their phone looks like this and nobody says a thing. And I'm sitting around like, do I have to be the guy to raise awareness to this? I mean, it's bafflingling it's baffling it's baffling it's baffling it's baffling. It's b- it's b- I the their. It's b- I their. I this? I mean it's baffling dude. I agree wholeheartedly. I agree 100% we have seen a new narcissism. Only fans is narcissism. It really is. There could be a saying that, my YouTube channel is narcissism because I'm in the front of it and I want people to watch me, do all this stuff. I think I have a role in trying to disseminate information, so people know it. But it is straight up narcissism.

Starting point is 00:17:34 And, you know, they're talking about, you know, they've done interviews with like a lot of these Instagram models, or any of these pranksters and like these internet prankers. And you, they ask them why they do it and it's just like the validation the dopamine hit of getting likes and views. And it's like right but the difference is the difference is Sam is that you you bring up narcissism you actually have something to say in a way you're really spreading awareness you're having good conversation. I mean, that's much different than somebody who's working a dead-end job in a cubicle, and he just decides to pick up the camera and film himself rolling on the floor and deli meat in

Starting point is 00:18:14 the break room and upload that and just becoming a tick-top star. I mean, you know what I mean? If we know how dangerous pornography is the children, why are we allowing that to even happen?

You have to teach your kids not to indulge in this. So it probably is in best practice to keep it away from them until their brains developed enough to even understand the toxic side of it. And that comes through the parenting to teach people of teacher kids the behaviors that is going on on the on these phones that the things that people are uploading and just showing them you know that that that you don't want to end up like this and this is why I mean it's basic parenting I think we have a little more control over this than we think you know that that's what I

Starting point is 01:37:56 meant about my point by it's like the power is to know that's all we need to do to keep the creeps away. And that's what we needed to do during the pandemic. But unfortunately, people just never unite fully. And they know that. And I feel like these people that that pump this stuff out, you know, into our youth and all that stuff is, they can't believe it. Starting point is 01:38:46 You can make it so that they can't sign up for anything. You can, I mean, you can limit all of that. There's just not a lot of knowledge about those features, but yeah, they're there. And let's be honest, kids will find a way around it. I mean, in school. Not enough. get the password off their parent. They could do that, but without the Apple ID, they couldn't do, you know, I mean, I'm just looking at all the settings here. You could, you could, a lockdown an iPhone, so that the kids can install anything.
