And most likely he's the exact opposite of these characters, which is like really caused me problems because Taxi Driver is one of my favorite movies of all time. There's everything about it. He is involved in hurting people and particularly children based on the things have happened to him and how he's allowed to get away with it. So I'm conflicted in that which is hilarious because the role in taxi driver is of a psychopath kind of scumbag, but there's some kind of quality to that character that we all kind of like wanting to like just destroy the system that is relatable. I did a show recently, did really well, got off stage in a comic who's I've had very, let's just say passionate discussions with, okay, about politics in particular Donald Trump and you know the you know this Trump derangement system syndrome which I'm not saying you can't get mad at that guy even with as what happened today as of this recording is playing out right now we'll we'll see what everyone's take on that is but you know to sit there and be like I hate this guy and go well your

And you know, I've gotten, you know, that's why John Stewart used to crush, because he used to play that narrative. Starting point is 00:23:21 Kind of one that same vein of like the inversion stuff. I get, a lot of it too is like, like Dave Grohl is another one. Starting point is 00:23:56 It's like nonstop. Well, well, let's get into that because, you know, one of my favorite videos that you did is a lot of stuff on Nirvana. And, you know, again, with the story that I told about Axel Rose, I found, I found that to be like just a perfect thing for this show today, because, you know, Axel Rose was from a time ti. thii. told, th destruction, one of the greatest albums of all time. Like, they never have to write another song, Guns and Roses. They can just tore off that album and everyone would be happy and they'll go see it over

Starting point is 00:24:34 a thousand times over and over again. But something happens at a certain moment where all those bands just get excommunicated from radio. They get they get pushed out from radio and we start to see where just all of a sudden grunge comes out of nowhere and leading the charge is in fact nirvana. And what does nirvana represent and what is Dave Rolls role in Nirvana? Like how's even like what's, well, what's all that? So the thing that's weird is the Grateful Dead are directly tied to Nirvana actually where, so Hank Harrison is Courtney Love's father and he was the manager of the Grateful Dead while they were the Warlocks.

Starting point is 00:25:27 And he wasn't the manager very long. It was like a couple weeks. And that was like people's response. It was like it was only a couple weeks. If you were hanging out with FBI agents for a couple weeks, I would have some questions. So that's 100%. Yeah, that's my rebuttal to that. So Hank Harrison adopted Courtney love. Starting point is 00:25:59 They just released bleach and they had a different drummer. The drummer leaves, I don't know the exact details on that, and they bring in Dave Grohl. Dave Grohl then, you know, he's obviously becomes a member of Nirvana, but Dave's father was a, he was Ronald Reagan, speech writer. He wrote speeches for Reagan. Yeah, he was Ronald Reagan speech writer and then he started investing money into nirvana and then all started investing money into Nirvana and then all the sudden Nirvana comes out with Nevermind and you're talking about Appetite for Destruction which is this one album.

Starting point is 00:26:32 I mean that's Nirvana's album. Like they had in utero and they had aneurysm or whatever they had the other one. But I mean the only songs that they actually owned was the Nevermind Catalog. Like that was where they made all of their money. So you're telling me that this drummer's on, this drummer is in Nevada, the original drummer, somehow ends up leaving the band. And I don't know where it comes Dave Grohl, who is connected to Ronald Reagan and, you know, the right-wing establishment of our government, and which is like the whole thing about the hippie

Starting point is 00:27:18 movement and Laurel Canyon is that all of those entertainers were military brats and their parents were super high up in the military and that even happens today. You see that happened today where like a lot of these kids that you see blowing up are really just the sons and daughters of these very powerful military industrial complex parents. It's so crazy to me. Yeah it's interesting because so he talks about it in a direct quote-unquote he wrote a book a biography called the storyteller and he talks about his dad and like he wrote speeches for Ronald Reagan and he was a journalist which is weird because they they always have parents that

Starting point is 00:28:05 are quote unquote journalists. Like Tucker Carlson, his dad used to have meetings with Jerry Garcia, he said it himself on Joe Rogin and his dad was a journalist. So when you bring these things up, people will be like, I looked it up, he's a journalist. It's like you can see on his Wikipedia, he says he worked with the federal government. He was he worked for the CIA. So yeah, so like You know, there's that connection and then Courtney Love has her Her adoptive father is a CIA agent who he actually says he has physical evidence that Courtney love killed Kurt and all this other stuff. Well, the interesting thing is is like how that develops is Dave ends up finding out that Kurt Cobain is going to kick him out of the band. That's how Nirvana was going to break up. Everybody could say whatever they want.

Starting point is 00:28:48 Dave was going to get kicked out. There's articles on it. You can watch the interviews from the 90s and every time Dave talks. And every times, and he goes, or not, and every time, thi's then Kurt looks over at him and he goes, or not. Like, what are you talking about? So Dave starts getting all weird. Kurt Cobain started wearing this t-shirt that said, kill the grateful dead, which I think was a hint and a wink and a nod at Hill, not Hillary, I'm sorry, at Courtney for like him kind of starting to figure things out. It's like this weird article that's like so left field when his dad was a speechwriter. But anyways, there's this interview. He's so crazy, dude. I know he keeps saying that. But it is such a just a presentation lie. He's presenting it like he went there to rage against the machine when he's literally the child of the machine.

Starting point is 00:30:34 And it's like, that's an interesting thing too, is they create these like fake stories so you get when you Google, Google statements they said that they wrote themselves, it throws you off the course. But the other thing is like Courtney Courtney did this interview where she's talking about like the Nirvana Inc. credit card that Dave had. And the weird thing is, Courtney says that, well Dave's dad is a stockbroker and it's like you know that he's not. You're like lying about.

Starting point is 00:31:01 You're telling a lie. Everyone knows his dad wrote for Reagan. Anyways, that was like a weird thing I noticed. But also, she's talking about how Dave bought an Ashton Martin on the Nirvana Inc. credit card. And when I posted that video, everybody was like, no, he's supposed to have a Nirvana ink credit card. He's a part not the point. The point is, is, so the catalog that they owned of songs, they owned 10% of 12 songs, so all three of them, so Kurt, Dave, and Chris. So that means, with how much of the catalog they owned when Kurt died, each one of them owned between one and three percent of the 10 percent of those 12

Starting point is 00:31:46 songs. So it's got to be like maybe $10 million dollars maybe, and Dave would have to own between one and 3 percent of that. So he's probably got maybe a million bucks on the card and he's buying million dollar cars with the Nirvana Inc. card. And just like, it's a total different vibe than heavy metal. She did three years in prison for it. It's like this is all, this is like real stuff. Like there are these like drug peddlers, like women who in the industry, it's insane. Do you know what the charge that she was found guilty on? Was it like manslaughter or was it just like selling the drugs to the guy that eventually died? I'm not sure exactly what it is? Starting point is 00:36:31 It's just crazy to me how these women are kind of like, you see that in the NBA a lot too. We're like one chick will have like eight X's in the NBA. It's just like she's not yours, it's just your turn, they talk about. That's crazy to me, but Courtney Love 100%. And there's just a lot of things that happen with Courtney Love where she somewhat seems to be protected. Like she can get in trouble and then suddenly like trouble goes away and you're like, what the fuck is going on with that. How does that happen? And that tends to happen a lot with these

Starting point is 00:37:05 uh, these intelligent narks. People who working with the intelligence community, one way or the other, tend to be shielded from the law. When you do that they don't look at anything you send because if they do you're liable to sue them if if they come out if an liable to sue them. If an artist has a song that sounds like yours,

Starting point is 01:05:27 you could sue them and they're liable. So they don't even look at your stuff. Well, if you look on the cult records website, they don't have this. And when I was in a band, I didn't know how this works, because I was like 20 years old. I submitted a ton of demos and I ended up actually like having conversations with my management and some other people. It turns out a couple years later, there is a song that is like literally just my song on this

Starting point is 01:05:55 EP and it was like super cheeky the way they went about it with like the, I didn't say this in any of my videos. I've never like publicly said this but I came out with a demo EP called How It Goes and I hear the opening chords of this song I'm like okay that could be that's pretty similar and then he goes well that's just how it goes I guess and I'm like oh no what and it's the same I'm like dude this is so so nuts bro. And like, what happened with my whole thing was like, we had this like management deal for a few months.

Starting point is 01:06:33 And I was just a crazy party guy. Like, we were, like, here's a thing people don't understand. Like, the Motley crew, like, snorting ants thin. That's all PR. That's, relations. That's those stories are used to like create these mythological rock stars in your head, you know, and then you meet them and they're five foot six or whatever. But like the whole thing was like we would actually do that. We play these shows and like lights up on fire. We're getting in real fights. And so like, we're doing all these things and they realize like, oh, you guys are a huge liability.

Starting point is 01:07:05 We can't, like we can't handle you. Like this is too, too much, ended up getting dropped or whatever. And we had this like weird thing where we would have to submit 30 songs a week in order to like get our pay, our advance and all this stuff. They ended up selling all of our songs to UMG and a bunch of other people. And turns out that song was one of the songs that was in the packet that got sold. So I did submit it, but then also people bought it through all of these other back channels. And I mean, it's insane the way that is nuts. That was nuts.

Starting point is 01:07:39 How many songs you have to write for them again? 30 a week for 30 a week for... 30 a week, bro. Yeah, for like several months. 30 a week, right? 30 songs a week. How is that at all artistic? Well, if you become like a, a robe, it's crazy because I still do music now and so now I can write like a very decent song like really quickly and I kind of get how but like it ruins music for you like I listen to a song and I'm like okay and here's the bridge and okay yes this part this part I get it like you you end up you become like a machine it becomes an album. One of the people who went who were there, they saw the pilot, they couldn't leave their house for a week, because they were so depressed that they thought they couldn't do anything funnier than his pot. It's a very famous story. If I took my old manager, he would tell you it if I put a gun to his head to tell the truth. He would tell you the guy didn't, he couldn't take what he saw.

Starting point is 01:10:39 He left. Six months later, he got a show on the show and it went on to be humongous. I do my show, Comedy Central, Comedy Central goes, we love the show, and they're exact words were, we love the show, we hate Sam. So they took my show and they gave it to another comic, not gonna say that comic's name, they did it, it didn't work, then they went and they gave it to another person and they gave it to another comic, not gonna say that comic's name, they did it, it didn't work, then they went and they gave it to another person and they gave this person the show and that person did the show for two years and it never resonated with anybody, ever. But it was anybody but me. Starting point is 01:11:26 They were like, be with this, do a show with this porn star and I'm like, okay, and then the porn stars be like, I have allergies. I'm like, I'm a coke head. I know what's happening here. You're doing blow and not showing up the rehearsals, you're fired and I hired somebody else and they hated me for that.
