I may have given you some suggestions. those jokes like I take no no credit I'm and I love but this is what we do as humans we want to attribute something to some person or this to that I think there's greater forces at work than than me or anybody else and I like and also you know when any time anybody especially gatekeepers what's worse than when a gatekeeper gets all puffed up? You know what I mean? Like a puffed up gatekeeper, the guy who's like working the fucking gate, the guy's job it is to press a button, the gate opens up, but they like come out and they like look at your fucking ID and shit.

It was so good, man. And then, you know, you're really doing what I love about you is you're not

And you're just like, if it's there, it's there when I come back. And I think a lot of people are afraid to do that. I know in particular I am. I've taken two weeks off from comedy and I'm just so convinced it will never come back. So I run back to do do it again. Yeah. I mean I love it so much but I mean I like to I love how you just you you take I mean sometimes you ghost and we

don't see you forever. Yeah and then you come back and you're just back into it and it just. Yeah well I I think with that kind of thing it's definitely good to listen to your heart and not you know there's so many different schools of how to do comedy and the ethic behind it, you know, and one school of, and there, I don't think any of them are right or wrong, it's just different ways to approach it. One school of thought is, go up as much as you can all the time, whether you feel like it or not. And that's, that is true. But My thinking and the reason I stopped doing it for a bit and the reason I'm doing it again now is it's the same reason which is it I was just listening to myself and I wasn't feeling inspired. I was in New York. And I wasn't feeling inspired. I was in New York. I wasn't feeling very inspired. I was like, just realized that I was sort of leaching stage time. Because I wasn't scared when I was going on stage, unscared. I was coming on stage unscared. I had some jokes. I knew theymea was was coming on stage unscared. You know what I mean?

Like, you're not feeling when you've got a thing you want to say on stage, and you're scared. You're like, this is no way this is going to work. Like, this is horrible. I can't believe I'm going to let these words come out of my mouth. I find that a big part of what I love about you is you don't chase anything. I feel a lot

There's this thing Terrence McKenna said that I like a lot and about ecstasy and shamanism, ecstasy and shamanism, not MDMA but the concept of ecstasy. The feeling. Shamonic, yeah. And so people think ecstasy means like only good feelings. But McKenna says, no, ecstasy applies to everything. There's ecstatic fear. There's ecstatic hate. There's ecstatic anger. There's ecstatic loneliness. And so in the moment, you're going to feel all kinds of shit. And sometimes you're going to feel confused. And sometimes you're going to feel like a hypocrite, and sometimes you're going to feel mediocre, and sometimes you're going to feel sad and terrified, and on and on. But the more you allow yourself to be that, instead of fighting against it as though it indicates

something's wrong, and just trusting like, oh no, this is a mind moment. This is just what's happening in the universe and the universe is perfect. Then suddenly those things become less likely to make you react to them in a way that could cause negative karma and create bad patterns in your life. It sounds like meditation, like when you're sitting there and meditating, you're having those thoughts of like, you really think you can meditate? Look at you here. Yes. Come on man, and then it's the whole metaphorical of those demons that are chasing you, they're telling you you're not good enough when really it's the reset. Just always go back to taken a deep breath. Yeah, it's watching the waves come in. something wrong with your life that you have to write this wrong and that maybe like life, you know in sobriety you learn a lot that like being a good life isn't happiness all the time. Living life is dealing with bullshit that comes at you, but dealing with it and going through and knowing that's a part of life. That there are a lot of highs and there's a lot of lows and I don't care who you talk to. People have like moments are like, what am I doing with my life? I don't care who the most successful person is in the world, you know, and it's the whole thing about, you know, don't judge your insides by somebody's outsides. And that's a big part. Yeah, man, AA. There, I was just talking to this guy from AA and he was telling me this thing. You guys are so smart. It's such a great path. He was talking, t find yourself sitting in the director's chair trying to control everything. I love that.

That's very beautiful. And also, what you were talking about reminds me of the saying that my teachers have taught me which is no mud, no lotus. The lotus grows from the mud. And then another interesting angle is, so in Hinduism we have Ganesh. You know Ganesh? You know Ganesh? You know? What is that? So Ganesh is the remover of obstacles, the elephant-headed, anthropomorphic son of Shiva. And so Ganesh is an obstacle removers. You could also say maybe the bringer of good fortune. The point is, this, this, one of the cool things in Hinduism is everybody like this and actually in Christianity talks about this too the sun shines on everyone good and evil so even demonic forces can get blessings of the gods by doing like meditation and self-discipline and so anyway Krauncher was a demon and who Shiva sent Ganesh to deal with this demon had been causing all kinds of problems. And so I think the logic was that there's this, I think, an urban myth. It's older than urban myth, but the elephants are afraid of mice.

So this demon turns himself into a mouse and goes running at Ganesh who sits on him. And the weight of Ganesh was so intense that it just shattered the demon's ego. It crushed the demon's ego. And upon the obliteration of this demon's ego, it wanted to serve Ganesh. And so the mouse became Ganesh's vehicle and so The vehicle that the remover of obstacle rides on is a symbol which in those days Was synonymous with disaster because the mouse would eat your grain and plague and so? That's a long way of saying when you're having bad things happen to you one way to look at it is like oh, no, these are the whiskers of? the mouse that? I don't think you're meant to stay here forever. I think you're meant to learn as much as you can and then travel to the next level. And it's a kind of a thing that keeps reproducing itself.

So the reason I really love Neem Kroli Baba's teachings is because instead of saying let me change you, I'm going to go to you and change you, it's more like I'm going to work on myself right.
