Do you have business insurance?
If not, how would you pay to recover from a cyber attack,
fire damage, theft, or a lawsuit?
No business or profession is risk-free.
Without insurance, your assets are at risk
from major financial losses, data breaches,
and natural disasters.

Today, Facebook executives find the grass isn't greener at zensurance.com. Be protected. Be Zen. I have had popcorn kernels stuck in my teeth for longer than Carolyn Everson was president of Instacart.
Everson today announced her departure just three months after joining the grocery delivery company.
She's notable, though, because she was one of a number of senior Facebook executives to leave all around the same time.
Everson had been VP of the Global Business Group at Facebook.
Her announcement follows the exit of the head of advertising from the company in October,
who left for Walmart.
Both Instacart and the former Facebook executive have painted the decision in a positive light,
of course, claim it was mutual.
In fact, Everson announced her resignation publicly on social media,
on the very same platform where she headed up global advertising for more than a decade.
Quoting her Facebook post,
My time at Instacart will be coming to a close at the end of the year.
The founder and I have been friends for over 10 years, and our relationship
is grounded in respect and trust, and we both agreed that this was the best decision for the company and for me personally, unquote.
So that's all very lovely PR speak. What's the real reason? Ad Age is reporting that a memo from
Instacart's VP of Ad Sales noted, quote, a clear mismatch between our priorities and the role she
desired at this stage of her career, unquote. The company says it is not looking for a new
president at this time. A nice upgrade to Instagram, you can now reply with a video
to a Reels comment using the new Reels visual replies feature. And yes, if this sounds familiar,
roll the music!
Actually, no, no, stop. Yeah, it's a TikTok thing where creators can tap a comment and then create a new video with the comment
in a little sticker. It's used quite a bit. This new for Instagram
update offers marketers another way to create engaging content, answer
questions, and engage with their audience on the platform. When users
choose to reply to a comment,
they'll see a new real button option to create a video reply. The original comment and question
that the user is replying to will show up as a sticker right on the video. In case you're
keeping score at home, that took Instagram 18 months to copy it from TikTok.
A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Google was postponing the switchover to mobile-first indexing indefinitely.
Well, now there's sort of a deadline.
In an SEO office hours hangout, Google search advocate John Mueller said
he's guessing the company will finish this process sometime before next July.
There's still a kind of a batch of mobile first indexing sites that are just not migrated over.
And it's something where we're working through some of the bigger sites there step by step to make sure that they can all be migrated cleanly.
And then when we have kind of the bigger issues resolved then we'll migrate the rest as well.
So my guess is like towards the first half of next year
we will be migrating all of the remaining sites over.
In case this is new to you,
mobile-first indexing is Google's plan
to only index the mobile version of your website,
not the desktop version,
which after this all takes effect,
it will basically ignore.
The company said in March 2020 that about 70% of sites had been moved,
but we haven't had an update since then.
If your site is not ready for the switchover,
it appears you now have until the first half of next year to prepare.

Google Ads is rolling out a new look for custom columns,
as well as adding new metrics and the ability to use functions.
With custom columns, you can define and view specific parts of your Google Ads data.
The new updates will allow advertisers to reference search, click, and display,
impression share, phone call metrics, spreadsheet functions, and a few more.
Google has confirmed that it will roll out these new features to all advertisers over the next few weeks.
A few new tools are being tested by YouTube that can help marketers get more views and drive more engagement on your videos.
The company has developed a new feature that helps viewers discover places that are mentioned in your videos.
After what I can only assume were grueling months of branding consultations to pick just
the right name for this feature, YouTube is going with Places Mentioned.
It will automatically provide a link for any places mentioned within a video in the video
description box.
YouTube plans to test the format on iOS and Android devices for food and drink videos
where it believes it can detect places like restaurants and bars.
In addition, creators can now edit auto chapters with text descriptions.
You'll be able to add your text to the video details,
giving you the opportunity to fill your content with more common search terms and keywords.
The video sharing site is also testing a collections option
for channel subscriptions,
which will help users find videos in different categories
depending on the channels they've subscribed to.
Quoting the company,
if you're in the experiment,
you'll see we're starting off with a favorites collection,
which is based on subscriptions you've recently watched.
You can edit your collections, including the favorites collection,
by simply adding or removing channels from your favorites.
You'll also be able to create new collections around topics, creators, and other content you enjoy.
Unquote.
Finally, along with the new features, YouTube is testing a new guided policy experience to help creators in navigating through policy issues.
Again, quoting the company,
We've heard feedback about how difficult and frustrating this process can be, so we hope to provide a clearer outlook on how to move forward that will help in these stressful
moments. Now, creators will have more information about how to proceed when they receive a community
guidelines violation and be given clearer options on how to resolve it.
But Premium Podcast listeners, a small reschedule to our live stream with Facebook ads consultant Andrew Foxwell.
It was going to be this Wednesday.
It will now be December 22nd at 2.45 p.m.
That's it for today.
Talk to you tomorrow.
Didn't want to fall in love like this.
Didn't want to have to need your love like this.
Somehow I don't care now.
Somehow I don't care.
Because I gotta have your love.
