Starting point is 00:00:00 I work at a sushi train and I've been giving away free sushi to customers for years. Nice customer? I'm deducting a plate. Really nice customer? Copper free meal, son? Not a lot, no. Favorite regular? That's what the staff discounts for. Hi, I'm Sheridan from Brisbane, Australia. Hi, I'm Addie. And I'm Maria. We're from Portland, Oregon. Hi, I'm Jess from London, England. We approve this podcast. Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Hello, two best friends hanging out having fun. Woo! Did you just say in a threatening tone, I'm going to toss your salad? Yeah, I did. And I went, with my tongue, which I didn't think I could do. And now I'm supposed to keep a straight face and present this very informative documentary. Well, yeah, yesterday we did Tony and Ryan podcast. Yesterday we did data chat.
Starting point is 00:00:59 And when you know what the data was, that was interesting. Welcome to the show. Hi, thank you for hanging out with us. Let's watch this news clip. Something. Data. It's a horrible story of road rage. But then something really jumps off the screen.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Have a quick. Let's have a listen. A typical Sunday turns ugly. Oh my God. A man driving a van, trapping a pee plater in the middle of the Bruce Highway. Jumping out, he tries to open the door. Quickly, Muay Thai fighter Ryan McDonald steps in.
Starting point is 00:01:32 There's just two girls on their own in the car. And I was thinking this would be just a good opportunity to help. and use what I know to protect these two girls or de-escalate the situation. The two exchange words as shirts come off. But the offender quickly backed down when he realizes the 19-year-old is a professional. With eight career victories, four of those through knockout. Came back up to me and was like, are you sure you want this? And I was like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:02 The video has more than half a million views on social media. It was the best possible outcome. yes going everyone got home safe that day no charges have been laid seb higgins george seven news oh yeah he's fucked both of the two girls in the peep later car yeah so and sleigh this guy gets out of his car to have a goal two young girls yeah and the guy in the car behind gets out who happens to be a moitire fighting professional sleigh who's like let's throw down dog why does the nerd the angry nerd that traps the women why does he take his shirt off at all well because the guy's like do you want to go and he's like yeah
Starting point is 00:02:38 But in that... And then he takes his shirt off and the other guy goes, you actually know what dog? I reckon we're all good. Has to hell humbly put his shirt back on as he's walking away.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Yeah. Now for those playing... What an absolute tosser. Yeah. Now for those playing along at home tone, how would you describe the aesthetic of the Moy Thai fighter? And it's okay.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Do you guys remember Ziz? Like the OG bodybuilder spray tan. Yeah. You know, like yeah. Tops and I talk about Ziz all the time. Never forget. That kind of vibe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Heavy spray tan bodybuilder energy. Yeah. Paroxide blonde, spiky hair. He looks a little bit like someone maybe from Yu-Gi-O. I've heard Dragon Ball Z. A super sion from Dragon Ball Z. Let's hit the comment section, shall we? Oh, Slay.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Not all heroes wear capes. They wear bronzer. Yeah, and that's lasted well through his workout. So he should contact urban decay and let them know they've made a great product. As a card carrying member of the bleached hair and weekly spray-chang community, that says Ashley, he did one to flee and we're all very proud. Yep. Her name's Ellen.
Starting point is 00:03:38 All good. Jackie Tan. Shout out to Malibu Ken for keeping women safe. The world needs more Ken. He's not just Ken. He's not just Ken. Okay, this man in his bronze are need an award. Sly.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Too many candidates for the Australian of the year now, but this young man will at least take home the bronze. And finally, Ryan John. Oh, here we go. I was laughing. But then again, he's out there saving people while I'm sitting on my couch doing sweet F. So maybe I should just shut the fuck up.
Starting point is 00:04:09 How come you censored one fuck but then said another fuck? Well, sweet FAA is like the same. Sure. Yeah. But no, good call. Because everyone,
Starting point is 00:04:19 like the comments were like half getting into this guy. But he's like, done a national service. Yeah. And then the other half are like, oh, he's actually a bit of a fucking hero here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Like he's, no, I love him. Yeah, and just, he's my best friend. He actually is. What a guy.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Also, I just, what a. fucking asshole the other guy like that first cockhead. I think I took out the one that said what shade of bronze is that asking for my decking, which was great
Starting point is 00:04:47 but a little bit mean but still pretty great. Seems like you're on their side. No, but then again I came around and I was like, well, who side am I on? He's the hero of the day. Yeah, so shout out to him. Oh my gosh. Ozzy. Just get us done.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Just get us done. These are top confessions. Send through your confessions. to Tony and Ryan.com.com. Frustratingly anonymous, we can't follow you up. No one will be able to find you. So if this is where you want to let something off your chest, doesn't have to be disgusting.
Starting point is 00:05:16 It can be, but doesn't have to be disgusting. It could be a good confession. Could be anything. I've been stealing from my employer for five years. Charles, it's, even though it's anonymous, it's still quite easy to tell that's you. It said anonymous confessions when I was writing it. I am the Robin Hood of sushi.
Starting point is 00:05:36 I work at a sushi train and I've been giving away free sushi to customers for years. Nice customer? I'm deducting a plate. Really nice customer? Copper free meal, son. No, I like that. Favorite regular? That's what the staff discounts for. I've been there five years. I'm an OG. The bosses love me. No one has ratted me out. I regret nothing. Free sushi makes people happy and it brings them back. That's just good business. That is good business.
Starting point is 00:06:06 For the record, Tony and Ryan would eat here for free. Where is it? I can't ask. We'll fly anywhere in the world. Sneak into my DMs and tell me which sushi train you're working out. Yeah, and we'll come down. And where you're when you're working. Can I, I've got a confession.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Tony and Ryan would eat for free. Rich Charles can pay. He can afford it. So now we know it wasn't Charles. Yeah. Well, go on the company car hut. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Oh, yeah. So it's free for you. That is my confession. I've got a piggyback confession. of this. I love to hear this because when I worked at Coles, I was an angry young woman. I had a real chip on my shoulder and I never gave anyone anything for free because I was like, oh, that's what fucking drive the price is up and fucking you have to pay. And I was just a little. And I really regret it. I wish I'd just given people more free shit because it's a
Starting point is 00:06:54 huge conglomerate and who cares. And so my confession is that I wish that I gave less of a fuck about Coles when I first there. Like, why did I care? Do you? You know what I mean? Like, it's not your money. But it wasn't even, it was just like, well, I follow the rules. But I was just really a bit stiff. And I just wish I wasn't because you couldn't really make people's day. What's really surprising is what you're describing is most people who work at Coles.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Like loose. No. No, but like someone that works in a big, like you don't own the insurance company. What do you fucking care? Yeah. Just slinging dog a bone. Yeah. But I'm, it's tough.
Starting point is 00:07:36 You know, what do you care? You're just trying to get through the day. Yeah. People getting their backup about something. You go, why do you care? Yeah, I just wish that I'd just... Who cares? So, now that we've learned this new light about like, who cares?
Starting point is 00:07:51 Will you look back in 10 years on today and be like, I wish I cared less than? Small business. That's a huge conglomerate. Or not about the... But just in terms of the like, I stress too much about this. Oh, totally. Hindsight, 2020, isn't it? But are we embracing it now?
Starting point is 00:08:06 I think, well, I have, and we were actually talking about this the other night. We were. And I have loosened up a lot. I have started to enjoy life a lot more. I just felt, do you know what I've realized? And I literally said this sentence to Torbs this morning. Please. Heaps of shit is just fucking made up.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Yeah. Like, it's just all, we've all just kind of gone, oh yeah, that's a thing that we'll all do. Because I'm looking into potentially changing my last. name. Yeah. And I'm like, I've ordered the form and then it's like, how do I change my name? And if you get married or you get unmarried and you want to change your name back, it's actually not a name change.
Starting point is 00:08:48 You just kind of like, it's like an alias. Right. So you can kind of go by either name, like in Victoria and in Australia, if the marriage happened here. They're like, either's fine. But like, just make sure you update it if you want to. Yeah. And it's like, oh.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Can you also change your name to anything you want at any time? but that is an actual name change. But this one, it's like, oh, you send in the form and they go, cool, we'll give you a new license. But it's just like, it's just made up. Because I said to Torbs, isn't there like a governing body that needs? And he goes, no. Who? Who's coming to find out whether you're a fucking Toblerone or a lodge?
Starting point is 00:09:24 Yeah. Or a Melor or a Patterson or a Dunn? Or a Dickelberry. Like it actually doesn't fucking matter. Yeah. Welcome to my world. Sweetheart. But you know, like,
Starting point is 00:09:36 I'm so glad to have you. It's just all made up. Yeah. Like, I went out for dinner twice last week. And I just like, yeah, because it doesn't matter. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:49 So I went out for dinner with Tony twice last week. Yeah. And on the Tuesday, Tony goes, I didn't know that people left the house. Like it was a busy restaurant and people were like, because like a Tuesday night was in town. What are they all doing?
Starting point is 00:10:04 People are. out doing stuff. Just because you don't want to go out, like they're allowed to. Actually, I am pivoting from that, as you know. I'm working hard on doing things. Yeah. But crazy.
Starting point is 00:10:14 And I just, I love to see it. But yeah, heaps of shit's just made up. Give out the free sushi. I think it's fine. Save your money to spend it a small business. For legal purposes, we will redact what I'm talking about,
Starting point is 00:10:26 but I've got a good example of this. You know how someone told us like the due date for something a few weeks ago? Sure. We had to respond by a certain day. Oh, yeah, yeah. And then like, oh, but we have to respond. And I was just like, they just made up a day. But we all went, oh, true.
Starting point is 00:10:43 But I will say that I never in my life have been like, oh, it's just, they've just said that. Yeah. But with that one, I was like, they've just made that up. And I think that my life is better for it. I'm a big girl now. And this is the kind of in-depth feel-good content. that arises from stealing from sushi trains. Sushi, free sushi.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Free sushi equals a better life. Free sushi changed my life. Should free sushi be on Medicare? Medicinal sushi. 1,000%. Just a single hand roll as you leave in the Kmart. Do you know what I mean? Isn't that just the ultimate?
Starting point is 00:11:32 Yeah. What else are you going to do? You walk out of the Kmart. There's a little sushi there at the Northland and you go, know what? I will get one Californian to eat in the car. Let me... I will get one Californian to eat in the car.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Let me want to... Yes, and... Yeah, come. You wake up on a Saturday morning, not to an alarm, but to when your body wakes up. Slow. You head on down to Northland
Starting point is 00:11:57 and you get a coffee from... Jamaica Blue. Jamaica Blue! Oh my God. I can't believe. Of all this shit coffee chains, We both thought of the same one. The one in front of the Target. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Yeah, I'm there mentally right now. Then you have an ice coffee. You look at Target and go... And the ice coffee has ice cream in it. Thank you. Yeah. You look at the Target and go, well, no, I'll go to Kmart. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:20 You go to Kmart. You buy some fun little things. On the way out, you get a roll of sushi. Just one. You go home. You sit on the couch and you just go, what a great day. That is a great day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:31 What the fuck is going on with Target and Kmart? Do they just have all the same shit now? Well, they're the same company. But like... And they've just... Because Kmart got real popular. They, like, they just gave up on Target. No, but so Target now only stocks and co.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Yeah, which is the Kmart. That's when they gave up. But so is Target just came up but more expensive? Yeah, and with worse lighting? Like, atrocious lighting. It's so dark in the corners. But also, it's like a blue light. Like, it's like a real like stark, yuck white.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Yeah. They would benefit from some. some smaller lights. That benefit from Ryan John on Lightroom. No one needs that. No one wants a blue target. You just said that... No one wants a blue target with their freckles Photoshop job.
Starting point is 00:13:18 No, I think people look at Target and go, I don't think that the contrast is up enough and that there isn't a hue blue through the shadows. A hue blue is. The saturation just needs to go up way more. And whatever you think the saturation is, put it higher. Double it. That's what Target needs.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Yeah, they don't. They've suffered enough. Sorry for making you look beautiful and putting your best look forward. You don't. You make me look like a husky with blue piercing eyes. It's not what I look like. Oh, you made me look like the most beautiful animal on Earth. I'm more pretty by myself than with the weird eyes.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I just want to see your beautiful white blue eyes. But my eyes aren't even that blue. And I have a brown bit in this eye that you always just Photoshop out. In Lightroom, they are. In Lightroom, they're stunning. No, they're stunning naturally. Naturally. When Ryan posts them.
Starting point is 00:14:13 So that's why Ryan doesn't edit our photos anymore. Who needs plastic surgery when Ryan John's got lightroom? Yeah. I wish had less wrinkles. See ya. Yeah. Injection free. Soften.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Soften. Softer. Injection free Botox. Yeah. And it is. Coming from a freer near you. So have you ever seen a picture of me looking good? Is it Ryan's how to go with it?
Starting point is 00:14:41 I'm going to put a photo on our Instagram today. No, you're not. Actually, it's not approved. A carousel. You have been cut off. A carousel. And it's going to be a photo of us, two pictures in the carousel. Which one was Ryan's edit?
Starting point is 00:14:54 One will be Al Natural and the other will be Ryan Lightroom. And you try and figure out which is the real one. Charles, the morning after my wedding. Fuck up. Ryan had all these photos that he had taken of like Torbs and I and of Bridget and stuff like that the night before. And he goes, oh, I'll like, and Bridget's standing there. And he goes, oh, I'll send you those photos. I was like, oh, can you just send me the photo?
Starting point is 00:15:20 No, you got to do them justice. Like, can you just, can you please just send me the photo? They're not available. Can't please just send me the photo. And Bridget goes, oh, isn't he terrible? And I was like, oh, have you been? victim to this she goes i've got to stop him it was so funny she goes oh you've overdone it again
Starting point is 00:15:40 yeah but i was just like i was like can you just and then bridget's like oh yeah and i was like oh my god a victim of ryan john in lightroom you go i've got this great lot i'm like yeah it looks the same as the other one we've gone too far now love you gone too far the other way sorry for caring about my best friends and charles it does it doesn't show that you care it does i'm just gonna throw anything up
Starting point is 00:16:04 Willie-nilly? Yes. No. Just post the photos. Authenticity, out. Hi, I'm Jess from London, England. Hi, I'm Sheridan from Brisbane, Australia. I'm Addie.
Starting point is 00:16:17 And I'm Maria. We're from Portland, Oregon. And you're listening to Tony and Ryan. A massive shout-out to a few of our champion tarpas over at our Patreon. Thank you very much for being part of it. Our Patreon is a fun space where we post some exclusive content. We do a different video every Saturday. We do some live streams for Champion Tarpers, stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:16:44 I replied all the DMs as well. So a few of my very close personal pen pal friends. Olivia Haller. Thank you, Olivia. Holier. Hohler. Evan M. M. M. Like Eminem.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Yes. Evan Emson. Wake me up. Wake me up. Okay, wake up. Colin Cooksley. Good on you, Colin. Sophie Spence.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Carla Golden. Golden Guy time. Daniela Britsy. Trudy Jocelyn, Nana and Libby Forpo. Thank you very much for being part of our Patreon. Appreciate it, Libby. Big El Dog. So what was that?
Starting point is 00:17:18 Big El Dog. Yeah. I thought it was a big elbow. Big elbow. Oh, someone did triceps yesterday. Oh, you've been to the gym, being jimmin. Yeah, I went to the gym and who are you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Like, you signed up here a few years ago. Your card was like, hmm. Oh, expired. November 2024. So we are about to turn five. Certainly are. We're celebrating the podcast birthday. We've been doing this for five years, which is crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Our party is this weekend in a location somewhere in the world. Every single person is invited, every single tarpa. It's free. You just have to get a ticket. More information about the tickets later in the week. But the second clue for the week, would you like me to do the clue? So because your iPad's not working? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Clue number two for our fifth. birthday party. She wrote me 12 letters. Ooh. So that clue again, she wrote me 12 letters. Good luck. So there was a clue yesterday that you can go back and listen to or you can find it on our Instagram.
Starting point is 00:18:28 And that is today's clue. So, you know, I've said too much. No, I've said too much. See you Sunday. See you Sunday. Local time. Yeah. Not to us, though.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Local in the time of the place where they are locals. That's exactly right. And we could not make it any more clearer than that. I have said a bit of a challenge for myself of late. We briefly just mentioned it. Yep. That I've been trying to... Still a lot more sushi.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Still way more sushi. Exactly right. And it's coming off really well and I'm really enjoying it. I've said a bit of a challenge for myself that I think most people would probably not enjoy and you are one of them. So I have a think about whether this is something that you would like, whether you would hate, whether you've seen it, whether you've been part of it. No, thank you.
Starting point is 00:19:16 I'd love to know. I am quite an awkward person and I really want to practice being better at like putting myself out there and chatting to more people because something I've noticed about people that I always appreciate in public or at an event or if you go and try something new is someone who's really happy to be the like chatter and welcomer. Right. Yep. And so the challenge I've kind of set for myself is that I want to talk to more people
Starting point is 00:19:52 each day. Yep. I've been getting out of the house way more. And I've been trying to like every time I'm out of the house, I really try and interact with more people. Oh. And it's. Look out anyone that works at the checkout in a.
Starting point is 00:20:10 supermarket in reservoir. Yeah. So that is one of the examples I've had. Busy day. Because, so I went to a dance class last week and I was really excited about it. And I got there and I was like, I didn't have my phone in my hand because I was like, no, like confident people walk in. They don't have their phone in their hand.
Starting point is 00:20:31 I'm going to walk in, look at people, smile, say hello, whatever. I walked in, ready to smile, ready to say hello to everybody. And they were all on their phones. Yeah. Which I can't control. obviously. But I've walked in and I kind of smiled at someone and said hello and someone looked at me and they just went, oh, and looked away. And I was like, okay, that's fine. We are the love we give, not the love we receive. Like that is, that is a representation of you.
Starting point is 00:20:54 That isn't about me. That's fine. Sure. Could have been about you. But you know what I mean? Like, that is you not wanting to fucking deal with someone and that's fine. Yeah. But I'm not, but no, it's fine. On behalf of us. Because that is not what I'm offering. Yes. So that's not a reflection of me. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Yesterday morning, though, I realized we late at night, we didn't have any milk. We didn't have any bread. Like, we just had nothing in the house. And I was like, I'll order it on Uber Eats and I'll get dropped off. And then I was like, no, I'm going to wake up early. I'm going to go to the supermarket. Like, get myself, this is like, I'll get myself out of the house. I'll go and talk to some people and I will go to the supermarket.
Starting point is 00:21:36 I go to the Woolworths in Preston, which is like the closest one to ask. Do you have to pay for parking there? Over 90 minutes, you do. Oh, okay. But it is the one that I was talking about where they introduced the idea of paying for parking. Do you still have to get a ticket even if you're less than 90 minutes? It does the number plate thing. So it just scans so you don't have to fuck around.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Yeah, good. I hated it when it started. It's actually excellent because now you can always get a car park. Because people aren't there sitting there all day. Because people don't want to pay. So it's actually awesome And I take back everything that I said about making it a paid car park I've never had to pay there
Starting point is 00:22:12 Because if I go to the Woolies, I'm never there for over an hour and a half Who the fuck is? Do you know what I mean? So it's like what they've done Is to achieve people being able to get a car park tick And what they haven't done is actually really charge anyone Because you're never there for longer than an hour and a half
Starting point is 00:22:28 So tick tick tick. So it's actually they've planned well and it's gone great I pull into the car park at the same time somebody else pulls in. I hop out and I'm in just like track suit pants and a hoodie and this woman who also pulled in at the same time she's in like business clothes.
Starting point is 00:22:45 So she's like obviously on her way to the office. I walk into the Woolies. She's right behind me. I walk into the bakery section to have a look at some bread. And she walks into the bakery section she's looking at like the donuts and the little treats.
Starting point is 00:22:59 And I'm just kind of looking, not really paying attention. And I kind of half smiled at her. She gave me nothing. It's like that's fine. then all of a sudden I hear her go, oh, yes. And I look over and she's like on the other side of the thing and I can see over. And she goes, oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:23:19 And I went, oh, now you've rocked up early. The least they can do is have what you need. And she goes, yeah, sometimes they don't have these donut holes and my office loves them. And I went, oh, well, you're going to be a star of the office today. And she went, yeah. And she went, hey, have a great day. And I went, yeah, have a great day. And it was so amazing.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Oh, my God. And so she fucking trots off with her donut holes. And I'm like, it's working. It's working. And what brings Tony and other women of Preston together is chatting about their holes. Their donut holes. I love to see it. I grabbed my.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Hey? Did you get some for our office? I didn't. No. She grabbed the mall. She actually bought both containers out with it. What a bit. Big office.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Big office. Where she worked. I grab my loaf of sourdough and I start walking around through to get the milk. And you've got a pep in your step? I, oh. You're skipping down the aisles. You're going to sneeze because I'm pepped to the max. Anyway, I walk through the fruit and veg section and there is a guy, Graham, who is refilling the fucking tomatoes or whatever.
Starting point is 00:24:30 The fact you know his name makes me hate this already. I know. It's so beautiful. It's brought me so much joy. I'm walking. through and we kind of make eye contact and both of us go morning at the same time and then we go how are you going at the same time and then i go oh good and he goes oh good at the same time i hate it and i go oh we're in sync today and he goes you should buy a lotto ticket and i go you know what graham i think i will and how great what a great little
Starting point is 00:25:06 interaction. If you win, you need to give Graham some. If I win, oh, if I win any lot of it. Because I feel like it's not your luck. It's your joint luck.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Our combined powers. Your chemistry and amazing connection is what's going to bring in the millions. And I feel like he needs to get a cut of that. Yeah. See, okay. So you're coming, you're coming to the bad side.
Starting point is 00:25:26 You're like, I don't mind this chatting. I'm about to destroy everything you believe. The other day on the weekend, I'm walking through the car park at the spotlight. And what, what happened? I just, I was so full of joy.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Yeah. So stop talking to people in public because it goes terribly wrong. I'm walking through the car park in the spotlight at Preston. It's raining a little bit. This man is walking towards me. His son is walking closely behind him and he's carrying some helium balloons that he's gotten from the spotlight. Obviously for his kid's birthday party. Sure.
Starting point is 00:25:57 It's like he's got like a foil four and a couple of other helium ones. It's raining. The guy is smiling and I look at him and we meet him. when we meet eyes and I go, how lovely. I start to smile. And we're getting closer and closer. And I'm like, oh, I have to say something, you know. What, hey, what do you mean?
Starting point is 00:26:14 No, I'm just like, oh, I should say hello or say, hey, going, you know, just casually. Yeah. My brain stops working at the speed of light. Does it? And I go, balloons in the rain. And the four-year-old goes, who's the rain? And the guy just keeps smiling. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:38 What's he going to say to that? Yeah. No, literally. Yeah. And the four-year-old goes, what did she say, Dad? And I'm like, no, please don't say it again. Like, I've already had to live it. I don't need to.
Starting point is 00:26:53 And he goes, something about the balloons in the rain. And I just. Yeah, that's exactly what I said. That's exactly what I said. Yeah, quite literal, quite literal conversation. Dad's nailed that. Yep. So fuck that one up.
Starting point is 00:27:04 So I'm two for one at this stage. So the kid doesn't go, excuse me. what did you say? He said to his dad, what's that old fucking slut saying? Like, what did that fat slut say? What the fuck is she going around? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:27:13 so that was pretty embarrassing. And then... The four-year-old? Yeah. Because what did that fat sluts? What did that big or say? She walked past? What that was?
Starting point is 00:27:28 Oh, bottles McDuff. What did she have to fucking pop up about? She looked like, she could use the toilet at a 7-11. What did she have to say? No. And then, So I'm like, all right, okay.
Starting point is 00:27:40 So I've got to kind of sharpen up my chat skills. Yeah. And then I get home from the spotlight. I bought a bunch of shit. And I was like, I got home for our online order to come. That didn't have any fucking bread and milk in it. And the guy comes and drops it off. And I go to the door and I'm holding pipa.
Starting point is 00:27:58 And the guy is like dropping the stuff off and he goes, Hi, beautiful. Oh. Yeah, and yep. And I go, huh, well, I know you're not talking to me. And no shit. He goes, no, I'm not. Looks me up and down with the acidity of reflex and goes, no, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Just that matter of fact, like, water burn. True statement. Yeah. Oh, you're not talking about it. No, like quickly, I think the thing that hurt the most was the quick assessment. Like, oh, was I? No, you're disgusting, not, you're such slut. I didn't think I was, but let me double check.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Let me just double check. No, you are disgusting and I would not have thought so. Would you have also thought it was not you if he went, oh, what a beautiful bitch. It's like, I obviously knew he wasn't talking away. I don't think you do. I think you were fishing for a compliment. No, I was trying to. after the spotlight incident.
Starting point is 00:29:11 I was trying to do like panda chat. Um, yeah. So I would say it's going okay in some areas. What's your split? As in like, well, that's half and half,
Starting point is 00:29:21 isn't it? Those two directions. So, but is that representative? I would say on the whole, it is predominantly positive. I just have to work on what I say. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Yeah. And that's great self-awareness. Like I think I just have to tighten it up a bit. I think a hey, hey, going is enough. I don't have to comment on what they're doing or the weather or... I think the test is what can they say to that.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Exactly right. Because when you go balloon in the rain. What, like what did I think he could say? And he goes, yeah. He didn't even give me that. He was less than nothing. Like, and it just... I thought you're going to say, ask him how old he was.
Starting point is 00:30:07 But he's holding the number four balloon. Yeah. Oh, happy birthday. How old are you? And he goes, you stupid fat slut, I'm clearly four. He's born on a leap, yes. He's only 16. Fuck, dude.
Starting point is 00:30:23 16. Yeah. Would you recommend that other people, like, get on this train? Like, is it a movement that you're starting? I think it is really nice to do, like, a little smile and a hello and, like, a little acknowledgement. I will say when I went to the dance class, and no one really gave me anything. I was like, oh, should I go?
Starting point is 00:30:44 Like, I felt really, like, embarrassed that I was there. Yeah, but are you all there just to do the thing? Like, I'm here to dance. Yeah. Yeah, and that's also fine. Because I think I just built up in my head that I was, like, I'm going to go there and it was going to be like, hey, how are you?
Starting point is 00:31:01 First time, you know, like. Is the problem with society expectations? Sure. Like, if you go on with. in just planning to dance and you happen to strike up a convo. Like, what a great bonus. So true. But if you're going in like, I hope they say this and I hope they say that,
Starting point is 00:31:18 then you're like, you've created these expectations. Because I think that there was a part of my mind that was going to be like, I'm going to have to text twabs and tell him I'll be like, because we're all gone for drinks after. Expectations. Yeah. And that's on me. That is on me.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Because maybe one day you will. Yes, but it wasn't that day. So Bridge has a few things she does with Mabel. Like swimming and gymnastics and stuff. Yeah, but some of the time like with gymnastics, the kids will go off to do gymnastics and the moms will all chat. Yep. And sometimes the moms are on their phones and there's no eye contact and no one says a word.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Yeah, yep. And you just don't know. And then we're kind of the same thing. You're like, oh, it's an added bonus if we get to chat and whatever. I think that's a really good mindset. Like, oh, hopefully this, this and this. And I'll have to call Ryan because I'm out with the girls from dance class. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Yeah. But I mean, like, that would be a great, you're right, that would be a great bonus, but that shouldn't be there. I saw this thing the other day and it was like, if the aim is experienced, then everything's a win. So true. So true. Like, remember that time Torbs went out to have one drink with those guys from work and came home, like three days later, hammered? Yes. And right.
Starting point is 00:32:27 No expectations. No expectations. Yeah. Turned in a blinder. Yeah. Yep. And he didn't talk to anybody about balloons or Lorraine or, yeah, who's Lorraine? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:37 He doesn't. Not a lot of English was spoken after the first few hours, it sounds like. Yeah, no. Not a, no. Also, that guy when he went to have a coffee with in London and he came home, plastered 12 hours later. Fucking steam. Carrey all down his shirt.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Low expectations. Crazy. What a great night, though. For all of us. For all of us. Because he came home, how are you? Didn't we get a show? Yeah, we did.
Starting point is 00:33:03 I get you love to see it here. Love it. And it's, uh, Sarah. Browett. Hi, Sarah. Tapa Sarah Browett is learning to play the harp. Fuck, that's crazy. The harp is so tough and so fucking expensive.
Starting point is 00:33:17 You've got to have like 80 strings at all times. A tarpa harper. I heart play Noah. So she goes to watch this instructional video on YouTube. Yeah. And she goes, Tony and Ryan, I'm just going to need you to watch this video. And tell me if you guys think you would
Starting point is 00:33:37 enjoy half as much as we're all going to enjoy it. Are we going to enjoy it half as much as she did? Charles, roll the tape. Oh. Okay, so you're learning a new piece and there's no fingering written in, but you don't know how to choose good fingering. Or maybe there is fingering written in, but it doesn't feel quite right. And so you don't know, is the problem with the fingering or is the problem with you?
Starting point is 00:34:04 And are you even allowed to change the fingering that's written in? So the answer is, yes, you can change it. but you need to consider these 10 rules of fingering I'm going to show you today. She knows what she's done there, right? Do you reckon? The video is called The 10 Rules of Fingering, and she's a very enthusiastic teacher. And Sarah has clicked, like, she's like Googled it and just going, oh, wow. Who, what two idiots am I going to share this with?
Starting point is 00:34:29 Yeah, and we have enjoyed it half as much as you have, Sarah. That is amazing. So, um, happy birthday to Sarah, whenever your birthday is. Um, just wanted to be included in the puns. Just a pun. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but thank you so much for sharing.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I do in fact love to see that. I love to learn more things about fingering because you think you know everything about fingering and then it shocked you. It turns out you don't. It shockers you. Yeah. Yeah. Um. Or as they call it.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Oh, they're gone. Yeah, they're gone. That was yesterday. Yeah. Oh, good. Two in the half. One in the fart. Um, I also have a video based.
Starting point is 00:35:06 You love to see it. You're joking me. No, this is crazy. So I saw this video on Instagram, and it very much goes with the community theme that I just shared. Yep. This video is really beautiful. This guy wanted to join like a local cycling kind of friendship. It could be like a run club, but it's like a cycling one.
Starting point is 00:35:26 But he didn't have a bike and he rocked up on a lime bike. Because he's like, I just want to be part of it and I want to get a taste of it. Fuck yeah. Hit play, Charles. What's your name? Yeah. Nice to meet you. You're on a line bike?
Starting point is 00:35:41 Yeah. Amazing. I love that. Because I don't have a bike yet. Oh, you don't have a bike yet? Well, bikes are expected, though. He says like, oh, I was really nervous people are going to make fun of me. All right, guys.
Starting point is 00:35:55 And have you had a good time? Yeah, really good time. Um, and so this video has gone like, Vava, Vival, Viral. Yeah. And all these people were, and all these people were. like can we do a go fund me to so that Norg can buy a bike
Starting point is 00:36:12 and Nore has said like oh I actually I can have like I don't need people to buy me a bike I can afford I just wanted to test it out and I didn't want to buy it and they're not relatable didn't want to buy it and then never do it she's how did that come up in your algorithm yeah so it's not relatable for me
Starting point is 00:36:26 what I might do is buy a stand up paddle board then decide if I want to do it want to do it or not yeah and but to know that you have the ingredients is part of the journey. So he thought maybe I'll try something before I invest a significant amount of money before I know if I like it or not.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Hey, hey, hey, this is you love to see it. So this is quite a safe area. I love to see what he's doing. I love it too. But I just thought, you've showed up. And he's like, oh, I was a bit embarrassed about coming on a line by it. And they're just like, oh, no, I fucking love to see it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Isn't that so cool? That is cool. And everybody's supporting Nour and they're finding another way to like donate that money to other people. Great. Because he's like, oh, I wouldn't feel right
Starting point is 00:37:08 accepting that, but like, let's find another cause. He's the secret billionaire in those shows. Undercover boss? Yeah. I've got another you love to say it
Starting point is 00:37:16 that's really thrown me. I looked over at Charles before and I feel really rattled by it. He's wearing a ring. Charles is wearing a ring. Who's the lady? You were wearing a ring before. I have a bit of tape.
Starting point is 00:37:27 Oh, I looked over and I was so rattled that you were wearing a ring. If one day, Charles proposes to a line, lady. Yep. And the way it's announced as you going,
Starting point is 00:37:37 what the fuck's that ring? Like, let the guy have his moment. No, not even that it was a wedding ring. Just that you were wearing a ring at all like you don't normally? No, it's a bit of electrical tape. I'll just play with. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Okay. Your small talk is right off. It's not good. It's not good. Oh, that's nice ring. Because it's tape you fucking stupid. Fat slug.
Starting point is 00:37:57 All right. Goodbye. Okay. See you tomorrow. Maybe. Maybe. Yeah. Or actually,
Starting point is 00:38:02 you will like tomorrow. Oh. Because some people, some beautiful. Tarpers have said when I'm stressed or anxious, here's some things I do to stay calm and de-stress and relax. Some of them are wholesome and some aren't. But they all work for that person.
Starting point is 00:38:21 And we're not going to yuck till yum. Maybe we'll learn something. Yes. Yeah. Love that. Love that. Love you. Bye.
