Starting point is 00:00:00 Monday and Tuesday I'm an absolute weapon. Meetings, deadlines, getting shit done. Then I kind of sigh and mentioned some deep project work. That's going to need my focus for when I'm at home. Deep as hell. No one's ever asked what the project is. No one ever will. Hi, I'm Naara from Australia.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Hi, I'm Ali Walker Jenkins from Not So Sonday Begusstoke in the south of England. Hi, I'm Nadine from Melbourne, Australia. And I approve of a podcast. Welcome. to the Tony and Ryan podcast. My name is Ryan. This is Dr. Author best-selling Dr. Author, wig wearing ho Tony Lodge. I'm not currently wearing a wig. No, but yes. But it looks good in a wig.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Whig enthusiast. You look good in a wig too. I saw Fred Flintstone. If you want to see... Was I Fred Flintstone? Yeah, sorry, I was thinking of the shaggy. No, you were Fred in that as well. So true. If you would like the greatest calendar of all time, which includes the chance to win a golden ticket, which means flights from wherever you are in the world to Melbourne, Australia, to hang out with us and have the week of your life in the best city in the world. Patreon.com slash Tony and Ryan.
Starting point is 00:01:17 You have this week. It's the last week. A few days to go. Then that's it. You can't buy it later. Bad luck. A little bit of logistics chart on the calendar coming up soon. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:25 But first. That was good. That was good. That was really good. I want some tech tips, baby, this evening. I want some tech tips, baby tonight. You've got tech tips. Excellent stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:42 You've got tech tips. All right. Are you ready for this? Always. Still this tip, this tech tip. If you are writing in a word document and you hit option backspace, it deletes the whole word to the left of your cursor that you're working on. Get the fuck out. I've got an example ready to show you.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Charles, bring it up. So we've got here a lot of text copied and pasted from the Nestle Wikipedia because it's our new favorite business that we discovered yesterday. Charles, click anywhere. Oh, you have. I'm sorry, my eyes aren't that good. So, Charles, if you hit option backspace. Like, delete? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Oh. And Charles, if you go to the end of, say, under there where it's set. Yep, that's perfect. And you go command backspace. It's going to delete that whole line. Look at this. Look at this. Real time.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Uh. Isn't that fucking unreal? And all this time I was going, bitch, preach it, talk about it. Same. Speak to it. Talk about it. Same.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I wasted so much time of my life. Although when you hold down the delete, I reckon it like goes through the gears. It starts going quicker. They get them to second year, then to third. And if you hold it down, you'll lose pages.
Starting point is 00:03:01 You'll lose pages. But look, that's, oh, I've lost interest though. If you're optioning and backspacing or commanding and backspacing, like, oh, see ya. Isn't that amazing? player charles
Starting point is 00:03:14 you've got tech tips every type we're on the pod got tech tips I'm all teched up that one actually the call is coming from inside the house Tommy on our team sent me that's huge he's like you probably already do this
Starting point is 00:03:31 maybe this is not a good tech tip and I was like I've never heard of that and that is actually fucking unreal so the thing about the tech tips is that lots of us are doing random shit that we're like I think everyone knows about that and then it blows someone's mind I can't remember what it was, but someone showed me something on Adobe Audition.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Oh, great. And I was like, I've been using this program for 20 years. Yeah. And I always do this one thing and I could have just gone control fucking something. And it just doesn't. And it's obviously a great tip because you can't even remember it. It blew your mind so hard. You can't even remember what it was.
Starting point is 00:04:02 It just got, are you ready for some tech bro stuff? I mean, talking to tech bro recently. Oh, yeah, yeah. You did say shipped the other day? Is that on brand? It just got folded into my workflow. I know you're impressed. We're navigating its edition.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Yeah. It's a light comer, but it's, yeah, we're pro it. I also use the term unlocked. And I really sent the group chat until a meltdown. I wasn't, I didn't see this happen live, but I heard about it. People are talking about it. Speak to it. Talk about it.
Starting point is 00:04:38 These are top confessions. Oh, yes. Thank you to everyone who's been sending through their confessions. We can't do it without you. Can't do without you. And we've also got some sexy road trip confessions for when we're on the road doing our live shows. Thank you very much to the good folks at Rowland. What are we what are we what are we?
Starting point is 00:04:58 Because are we sexy, dirty, yucky, stinky. There's a line of sexiness in here, but that's not what it's about. Oh, okay. It's called jerk from home. I'll take a line. Oh, I mean, have you ever worked from home and not jerked off? Like. And we're about to meet.
Starting point is 00:05:15 You know what I mean? We're about to meet the queen of that last sentence. This is about me. It does fucking play about us. I work three days a week, but I get paid for five. Ooh. I'm in the office Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, and I work from home on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Monday and Tuesday, I'm an absolute weapon. Meetings, deadlines, getting shit done. Boom, boom, boom, boom. then I kind of saw and mention some deep project work that's going to need my focus for when I'm at home deep as hell, yeah. No one's ever asked what the project is. No one ever will.
Starting point is 00:05:59 It's because they're all lying about their projects too. At home, I use the word work very loosely. I reply to the odd email, pick up if someone calls, and I always pick up slightly out of breath like I'm, yeah, what was that? What's up? Oh, sorry, I was just in the middle of something. Yeah. But I'm mostly just wiggling my mouse to stay on green while I do the washing, read a book, take a two-hour lunch, take a midday everything shower, flick it a whole bunch, do a hair mask the works.
Starting point is 00:06:28 I love it. Friday, I stroll back into the office fresh as a daisy. It's like you've had a whole weekend. And join in on the, what a week. TGI Fridays, am I right? Thank God it's Friday. Yeah, like I didn't just have a mini weekend in the middle of my week. I love it.
Starting point is 00:06:44 But everyone sees me going so hard at the start of the week and at the end of the week. They just assume that I'm just the hardest worker in the building because when they see me, they see me fucking getting it done. Fuck yeah. And honestly, for those three days, I am the greatest worker of all time. Nobody gets hurt. The work gets done. My bathroom's never been cleaner.
Starting point is 00:07:05 It's called work-life balance and I've perfected it. No, I love it. I think if you're getting your work done, fucking... If you're getting your 40s,000... hours done in 30, then fucking get it. And also, like, I think it's if things fall through the cracks, which it sounds like it's not happening. Like, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:07:23 They're loving it. Everyone's a winner. Oh, especially her. Yeah. Yeah. So that is, so when you said she's working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, I was like, oh, are they shit days to work? Yeah, great days.
Starting point is 00:07:36 But I think, knowing that you got the mini weekend, you go back for one day on the Friday and then another weekend. And Fridays are a fucking. especially in an office because it's normally, oh, there's a drinks at three or four. Yeah, we're all kind of winding down. And, oh, maybe we'll start that next week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I'll put that on Monday's agenda. Yeah, do you want to chat to me about that on Monday? Yeah. Oh, I'm so fucked from the week, you know? Yeah. It's the end of October right now. Right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Has, have, can anyone let me know if the first, can we push that to a next year has gone down yet? Charles got one the other day. Did he? Did he really? Charles got an email on at the bottom. It said, please excuse us.
Starting point is 00:08:18 It's silly season. Might be a bit slower to get back to you. Oh, no, no. I'm talking like, oh, that'll have to wait till next year. I've heard my first, the other side of Christmas. On a call yesterday. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:08:33 Yep. When was that? Was that I on that call? Yeah. Who was it on the call? Guy said that. Oh. Guy said it might have to wait till the other side of Christmas.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Yeah. Which is just a fancy way of saying like, fuck that. right now. Australia just checks right out. Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah. Because it's our summer. It's our summer. So I feel like in America or whatever, like over that like July, June July kind of time. August, no one's message. No one's messaging you back in August. You know, like people are working with it's chill. It's kind of low key. But like we're in summertime mode now. Yeah. Tony declared last week preemptively that she's done with pants for the year. I think I said about three weeks ago and there's been like six blizzards.
Starting point is 00:09:14 So there has been jeans, but it's hot again now. Yeah, she's back. But yeah, I want to know if other people are... Do you think that maybe places it's not summer, they're not slinging that as early? Yeah, but... America gets into Thanksgiving mode. True.
Starting point is 00:09:32 So they wind right down and then they perk back up for fucking three days and then it's Christmas. Is that end of November? Yeah. New giving? It's not old giving. Some side giving. It's Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Backgiving. Now this next confession, they've submitted a confession. Thank you. So it's anonymous? Respect. Yeah, but I might, is it a confession or is it bragging?
Starting point is 00:09:59 Are they just showing off? Are you talking about the last tap-up? Because that was also a bit of a brag. Oh, yeah, actually, yeah. It's a bragging edition of confessions. My husband's dick removed my tonsil stone. Every now and there, when I was sucking off my husband,
Starting point is 00:10:22 I end up with a small, smelly, stone-like thing in my mouth. I assumed I was sucking so hard that I was getting some gross build-up that he hadn't washed off. Oh, fuck off. Then I found out what tonsill stones were. Deep-throat champ that I am,
Starting point is 00:10:43 I was taking him down so far that his dick was dislodging my tonsil stones. Now when it happens, it's a bonus. He gets great head and I get fresher breath. It's a win-win. Hey, so that's disgusting. Mm.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Mm. Is the brag coming? What's the... No, that's the end of the story. Great. Which part is the brag? I think it was just like, oh, gross. I'm so good at sucking dick that...
Starting point is 00:11:13 Yeah, okay. Yeah. Got you. Um, that's fucking gross. Yeah. Yeah. That's so disgusting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Do you think that you would be able to feel that on your dick though? The tonsil stone. Well, yeah, like, because it's like a, like you can feel my mouth right when I'm sucking. Well, no. Sorry. No, I can.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I actually can. Yeah, we all can, babe. But like, yeah, you can feel. Sorry, I'm just imagining you sucking my dick right now. Thank you for saying. Deal, is it nice? It's very nice.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Oh, that's cool. I should remind you. You are a people pleaser. Yeah, I am to please. A dick pleaser. Yeah. And a dick squeezer. But can you feel the mouth around the
Starting point is 00:11:53 penis. That's the whole thing. Yeah. So, I believe that's the point. Because like, you guys told me the other day that like the thing about bad head for you is teeth. Right.
Starting point is 00:12:05 So wouldn't you feel a tonsils? If you can feel a tooth, you could feel a tonsil stone. But I feel a tonsil is not as hard as a sharp tooth. Not a tonsil, but a tonsil stone is. Do you know what they are? Yeah, do you want,
Starting point is 00:12:16 we might need, oh, I don't know. If you don't know what they are, maybe, maybe you would like to live in ignorant bliss. And that's actually fine Bring it up We've got this far
Starting point is 00:12:26 Oh it looks like a tooth sticking out the back of it Yeah like it's quite like Like I'm no shade to people that have tonsil stones Like it's just it's so natural Like I'm not I'm not shaking you It's just disgusting Yeah but like it happens So I feel like
Starting point is 00:12:44 Also sorry Charles bring it back up Oh That is pretty fucking far back Yeah Like, how's no vomit happening? That's crazy. That's the brag. The tarpa, I mean, the husband should be bragging one on the tarpa.
Starting point is 00:12:59 I just feel like you would feel that on the penis. Do you not what I'm saying? My mom goes, oh, that's never been an issue for me. Yeah. They've never popped out on you, do you mean? Or you've never gotten that far down? I didn't realize there was a back of the throat. I felt the front plenty of times, but not the back.
Starting point is 00:13:19 I got to the back of the front teeth. I just also wouldn't be able to not gag, I think. Anyway, well, good job. Question. And then we know follow-up questions and we can all just be honest. Okay. Now, you've said it gross a lot, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:40 But is anyone else like a little bit turned on right now? I just can't get past the tons of stone. Yeah, neither, neither, yeah, so true. Hi, I'm Ali Walker Jenkins from Not so sunny Batesdoke in the south of England. I'm Naara from Austin, the Netherlands. Hi, I'm Nadine from Melbourne, Australia, and you're listening to Tony and Ryan. A massive shout out to a few of our champion tapas over at our Patreon.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Sorry about our spooky set today. It is Halloween coming out. Spooooooooooly. I know it's spooky. It's spooky. Nina, good on you, Nina. Jess Edge, thanks Jess. Captain Hambone. Do you remember when you ate that ham for three months and almost died? Well, I was told that a Christmas ham, as long as you keep it in a pillowcase with vinegar,
Starting point is 00:14:35 it can't go off. It'll never die. You know what we're going to do this Saturday? We're going to fly to Canberra. We got our Canberra live show on Sunday. Yeah. And I'm going to drive you to the house where I ate that Christmas ham for three months. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:52 And I remember that time I nearly died because the ham went green and purple and I tried to eat around the green and purple bits. Yeah. It was in this house and I'll show you. actually love to go there because I've seen pictures of it on a line. It was beautiful. That townhouse? Yeah, not that great from the outside, but that's all good. It's in Casey. Oh, I'll take you to the Casey supermarket. I'll take you to the supermarket. Bro, you fucking make a sexy little dance like you just did, sure. But when you go to the Casey supermarket, you'll be like, oh, I get it. I actually get why you still talk about this supermarket in Casey in Canberra.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Tell me, tell me that it's better than the Bumberry Farmers Market. it's different because the farmer's market you know how you like follow the thing around this is still a traditional like it's got lanes but then there's like a fishmonger who's like in the thing oh i like a little like prawn bar like you wore in the like little prawns you're sorry i just imagine a prawn drinking a cocktail so it's like oh yeah the prawn bar and the prawn's like shock total anyway i was just about to say does anyone know any kind of context Everybody's going to love that. I hope they do.
Starting point is 00:16:09 They are going to fucking love that. Read all the comments on this video. They're going to love that as if it were... The Casey supermarket. Yeah. So the problem. Let me call the Casey Super Barn. Super Barn.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Can you Google Casey SuperBarn? That's really changed the image in my head calling it a barn. Super Barn me. No, I think... Oh, like this place? Super Baran Casey. Yeah. Oh, so exactly what he said.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Charles. He didn't come up first of all. But it's also like a Casey supermarket. I think you'll, it's the same thing. Wow. That does look like it has a large variety of goods. And you know what's so great about the Super Barne in Casey? Tell me.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Talk about it. The width of the aisles. Oh, it's like when you go through a chemist warehouse. It's the opposite of a chemist warehouse. Have you been through the vitamin aisle of the chemist warehouse? It is specifically bigger so that people spend longer in there and spend more money. Oh, that's not the widest one I've said. But I associate chemist warehouse with you're like scooching through the aisles.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Which one are you hauling? I think they might all be different. But I watched a documentary about it. Actually, it might have been on like Tosh Point O or something. And it was all about chemist warehouse. And they specifically, that one aisle is bigger. Really? Because it's comfortable to spend time in and peruse because it's their like money maker.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Anyway, where do we, what are we doing? Talking about the camera super bar. Yeah, but why did we do that? Because we're going there this weekend. Yup, yop, yop. The Christmas ham. The Christmas ham. The Christmas ham, Captain Hambone.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Charlie Smith, good on you, Charlie. Seth, excellent fucking memory. We get distracted. Seth Carvello, good on you, Seth. Dion Wyman. Wymann, I'll rip you high man. Sarah, sorry, Sarah Martin, good on you. And Emma.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Love to see it, Emma. Thank you so much. Love to see, Emma. Appreciate, oh, we're saying now. T. Tomorrow on the show. Yeah. Wednesday hump day.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I'm going to reveal the new greatest online series to ever occur to the internet. Oh my God. Amazing. You know Vogue 73 questions? Yes. Old news. I'll see you. I've forgotten about it.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Don't talk about it. You know how wide used to do that like auto-complete? No. Google. Yes. Old news. Forgotten. The greatest online series of all time.
Starting point is 00:18:34 And I guarantee, actually no, I won't guarantee you'll piss. I do recommend that you piss beforehand. Okay. No, that's good feedback. You'll go, oh, what has the internet been doing until now? And why have we been wasting our time? You know when sometimes you watch, and it sounds like this is one of those, you watch something, you go, how's no one come up with that before?
Starting point is 00:18:59 Like, a great pun or a great idea. And you're like, why aren't people doing that? Because you think they've all been done. Oh, we're all doing the same thing. Is it too simple? Like, you know when you come up with an idea and you go, is that just too simple? No, it's genius. Kiss.
Starting point is 00:19:12 Keep it simple, stupid. So true. You know what? Keep it simple, slut. Keep it simple, you dirty, disgusting bitch. Anyway, um, that's not K-I-S-S. That's K-I-Element of P. S-Y-L-B.
Starting point is 00:19:30 You forgot the D. Eh. No, I said dirty bitch, I think. Anyway, I did say that there was going to be a little bit more logistics chart about the calendar. And this is very important because right now, if you join our Patreon and become a champion Tapa, you get our 2027 Tony and Ryan calendar. We've put a lot of effort into it. And you might have seen online that we've been making all these videos, we've been all the shots, the BTS stuff of us in wigs and lots of costumes. The theme was iconic couples.
Starting point is 00:20:00 So we've done like some animated couples. We've done some real life couples. It's like we've had the best time making it. Too much fun. And now it kind of comes to a bit of more needy, gritty stuff, which is where we're discussing what actually goes into the calendar. Yes. So our golden ticket tapper from last year,
Starting point is 00:20:18 one of the things in the prize is that your birthday goes in the following calendar. And forever or just the following? I think forever. I think forever. So then in like 10 years, like there's 10 golden ticket tarpers listed in the calendar, which is really fun. Do we need to put their year on it?
Starting point is 00:20:31 Because in time it might get confusing. That's a very, Charles, write that down. So it'd be like, Jessie, 2026. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. And then we don't know this person yet.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Yeah. Could be you. Could be you. But you have to sign up and you see all the information in there. But so we're talking about what needs to go in the calendar and we're talking about important things related to the podcast. Yep. There's been a few ideas floated. And Charles brought up the good idea of like, should we put the wedge window into the calendar?
Starting point is 00:21:00 For anyone who doesn't know what the wedge window is, I have prepared a short. speech. The wedge window is the theory that people eat wedges for six months, have the best six months of their lives, then forget all about wedges for two and a half years. Yep. Making the wedge window six months, our wedge window was opened this year when we coined this theory. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:22 And it went from the 9th of February until the 9th of August, 2026. Are we falling out of our window? So we're not currently in our window anymore. I don't think we've milked our window. well enough. Well, it means that for the next two and a half years... We're dry. We're not wedging.
Starting point is 00:21:39 We're not sour creaming. We're not sweet chili saucing. How does that make you feel? Not good. So, unfortunately, there actually isn't a wedge window to put into the calendar next year. But is it time to review? Always. It's that time a year where you review where you're at and how you've gone and then you start setting
Starting point is 00:22:00 yourself up for 2027. So we received... a message from Tapa Bobby Lucia. And Bobby says, I've got a wedge question. Have you ever done wedges, nachos style? So it's like potato wedges on the bottom
Starting point is 00:22:15 and then the meat and the sour cream and the cheese and you know, the beans, whatever you put on top of nachos, but on top of wedges. Bobby says, we do them and we call them totchos. The cultural
Starting point is 00:22:31 original name. Yeah, I love it. Also, did Charles and Ryan have really big feet? I just saw a photo where it looked like they had really big feet. And then Bobby says, more important... Oh, that's upsetting. More importantly, though, how do you feel about the wedges? So she can't... Oh, okay, going back around.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Yeah. Come back around on the wedges, but it's important to talk about. I messaged Bobby and I said, well, doesn't that sound fucking awesome? Is that... Is that... Is it the same as the wedge salad that was talked about in modern family? No, bitch. That is a wedge of iceberg lettuce.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Oh. So it's like you cut the... lettuce into wedges instead of like shredding a chicken like a Caesar salad but instead of lettuce it was wedges. That sounds awesome. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Yeah. Yeah. Oh. Yeah. So it's like a wedge of lettuce and you eat it like a steak of lettuce. Yeah. It's yarm. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:19 When I had wedges, I thought this is what I was thinking. Yeah. No. So this is, this is, I guess, the wedge salad of, of your, you know. Um, so I think it's important because I've messaged Bobby back and I said, whilst that sounds amazing and I would love to try it, I'm currently out of my wedge window. You'll have to email that to August 2029. Isn't that depressing? Isn't that really sad? Bobby said, does the wedge window count if you're experimenting with new wedge flavour combinations?
Starting point is 00:23:49 To me, that's science. And if you hinder science, we all end up suffering. If you delay innovation, you're actually not innovating. It's research. It's development. It's pushing our nation forward. It's pushing our species forward. Who are we to deny the world of forward propelling motion? Charles put the oven on. So maybe.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Hang, run me through exactly what the... Give me again the details. We got wedges. Okay, all right. Then we got meat. Let me tell you. Please. You got some wedges.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Yep. And we haven't done it in the air fry. We've ordered it. at the pub and they're crispy they've gone through the friar they've got that orange little salt on it yeah and then sporting globe sporting globe fuck yeah or the wedges from like the like a fucking dirty pub like they haven't changed their oil in like fucking months and that's how why it's good it's good it's seasoned yeah yeah and then your mince so you've got mince maybe some black beans in a little bit tomatoy, you know, like, but it's savory.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Yep. It's a heavy, savory mince. Would you describe it as thick? She's a thicky girl. She's a thicky girl. She's like pippa. A little baddie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:18 And then, oh. And then you've got a hefty glug of sour cream on one side. Yep. A hefty glug of guacamole that I've made on the side. seasoned incredibly well, I will leave the red onion out for you. Thank you. And then so much cheese that Charles had died. Grilled onto the, so not just melted, grilled.
Starting point is 00:25:43 So it's got the like blister marks from being under the grill. Like in the dirty old pub where they just like. Under the broiler. Yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. And so the wedges, crispy, hot, pillowy on the inside. And we're going to say no to that? going to turn that down for...
Starting point is 00:26:04 Because of a theory that we coin that we would like to forget about? Yeah, dude. I propose the wedge window. I propose the wedge window six months on, six months off. Because it still offers the enjoyment of the limited nature of the window. You still are forgiven if you do forget about them for a bit,
Starting point is 00:26:30 but you get to enjoy them every year. Here's where I'm torn. Okay, tell me about it, Natalie. Maybe people should send in their dilemmas. And the segments call, Tell Me About it, Natalie. Write that down, Charles. Write that down right now. That's a new idea for next year. Charles, if that hasn't, other side of Christmas.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Other side of Christmas. Charles, if you haven't already written that down, you're fired. That's amazing. Sorry, I tell that back. He's your boss. He's your boss. Yeah. He is.
Starting point is 00:26:59 If we're six months on, six months off with wedges, this is tough. This is tough. No, talk about a safe space. If you're starting from scratch, yeah. Where would you draw your, I guess what I'm getting at is wedges are summer meal?
Starting point is 00:27:14 You want them in summer? No, I totally agree. Yeah. Because in winter you're gonna like, I get it. But no, that's when you hit me with a roast
Starting point is 00:27:19 or a fucking palmer or whatever. I'd fuck a Palmer at summertime. Yeah, but I'm like, when you go to a pub and it's cold cold, I feel like wedges, it's like it's a warm afternoon. And it's maybe like,
Starting point is 00:27:30 you're not settling in for a whole meal. You just having some wedges. Just having some wedges. Yeah, yeah. Okay, so are we saying that our wedge window is October 1 until March 30? Every year. Farsi in the Southern Hemisphere. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:47 So the Australian wedge window. The Southern wedge window. Great Southern wedge window. Well, then it's like it's the flip. And then we get on a plane on April 1. It's Hemisphere specific. Yeah. Yep, yep, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Yeah, you know how North and South works. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then we go and celebrate the opening of the Northern Hemisphere Wedge Window. I love it. So it is six months still. Like it's still a six months on, six months off, depending on where you're based. I think that's pretty good. So put in the calendar is what I'm hearing.
Starting point is 00:28:24 April 1 slash March 30 is like the wedge window flip. Yes. What? I reckon we can come up with a better name than that. No, it's good, but I reckon we can do better. Yep. But that's when we're flipping. So what I'm hearing, just to get this straight, so we'll put it in the calendar, we'll figure it out if you've got any ideas.
Starting point is 00:28:45 We don't want to hear them because we've already decided, but what I'm hearing is that we have just... Oh, no bad ideas, but I've already chosen mine. So it's all good. So, yeah. The lines already, we've decided. What I'm hearing is that we're in our wedge window now. And this is a great outcome for us. I'm getting wedges tonight.
Starting point is 00:29:10 I'm getting wedges tonight. I'm getting wedges tonight. So, pause up for the wedge window. And thank you. And thank you. Oh, I meant like pause up,
Starting point is 00:29:21 like little monsters like Lady Gaga. So true. No, so true. I'm so sorry. Mayhem ball. Do you know what I mean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:27 I feel like Bobby. Tapa Bobby. Top of Bobby. because I think you're right we do need to push research forward and with a two and a half year gap every six months what are we going to,
Starting point is 00:29:41 you know what I mean? Yeah, well I do know what you mean but I just could not think of a worse way to say it. What would I say? No, I got it. All right.
Starting point is 00:29:50 So if we take a six month gap every two years, no. If every two and a half years we're six months on and then another two and a half years off. Yeah, yep. That's right.
Starting point is 00:30:00 But it's too wordy. I think what I said before, I couldn't make it simpler. It was less wordy, but it was also nowhere near what we're talking about. All right. So every six months, we're off for two and a half years. Not really, no. Is that right? No.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Every, how would I say it? It's like a really, like, I don't think there's a way. That's why we need to change it. It's impossible. I've got a challenge for you. What is it? How do you spell? Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:30:38 See this word here? Just spell it, the letters. Men. Spell it with the letters. M-E-N. Yep. What's this got to do with the wedge window? Now spell this word.
Starting point is 00:30:58 US, United States. USA. Spell it? United States? U-S.A. U-S. There's two letters there. I'm asking you to spell it.
Starting point is 00:31:09 United States, just United States. Oh, just US. Yeah. Yeah. Now, how did you spell the word before that? Man, M-E-N. Yep. And then how do you spell that word?
Starting point is 00:31:23 US. All right. Now, combine those two. M-N-S. What's that word? Menace. Are you sure? Menace?
Starting point is 00:31:36 M-E-N-U-S? Yeah, say it. Me and you's? Menus. Menus. Oh, that's a tricky-dicky. Menace. That's a tricky-dicky.
Starting point is 00:31:54 That's a very tricky-dicky. Menace, it isn't, ah. It's menus. Which is what I'll be looking up to find. For the widgees. Today, as of today, it's reopened if you're in the Southern Hemisphere. And we will be checking. We will not accept any RGB.
Starting point is 00:32:14 bargy around this, you need to honour the wedge window. Yeah. So currently, if you're in the southern hemie, it's on. Yeah. If you're in the northern hemi, forget about it. It's off. Yeah. Get a roast or a palmer or a steak. Yeah, fuck off.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Get a tater tot instead of a wedge. Now, whilst that is my love to see it, I do also have you love to see it. Thank you for indulging the logistics chat around that, though. It's very important. It's very important. So now those updates will be reflected in the 2027-20-run calendar, which you'll have to sign up to be a champion type to get if you don't want to forget the future dates of the wedge window.
Starting point is 00:32:44 If you don't want to end up in the wedge place. Yeah, like, do you want to fucking... You know the punishment for... Commit fraud? You know the punishment for not doing it? Death. You get a wedgy. Tony comes around and just goes,
Starting point is 00:33:01 and I will rip that underwear right up your asshole. Yeah, it'll be over your head. Have you ever had a wedgy? Like, was that like a... I know that your school didn't really do bullying. It feels like such an American movie thing. Does it really happen in real life? I don't believe.
Starting point is 00:33:17 so no. Like surely not. Surely like heads didn't really get put in toilets and stuff. Like if someone gave you a wedge you'd be like, oh, throwback like vintage. But did it ever happen? I'm sure that I'm sure there was a couple of thrown around, but just now we just cyber bully, don't we? Yeah. Now we just get into the psychologicalness of it. Now that year 10's just sending me nasty messages on MSN. Yeah. Yeah. Now I just ask people what their dreams are and go, oh, you couldn't do that. We do that kind of stuff now. Yeah. Mine, just quickly, never done something like that. We start.
Starting point is 00:33:52 We start burner accounts. As someone just who was horrifically bullied on MSN, I just feel like, it's so traumatizing to think about that. Tarp of Grace. Put your paws up if you were bullied on MSN. Reddit does say that in the 80s and 90s they were a thing, but when tidy whiteys stopped, they kind of fell off. Oh, oh, so was it underwear-based trauma? Do you wear a tight knicker? Oh, you do wear like a boxer, don't you?
Starting point is 00:34:21 A box, like a short, a little short. A little shorty one. And you're same Charles, but yours are way shorter than Ryan's. Yeah, yours are a little slutty one. But Ryan's, Ryan goes a longy. Well, because I used to hate when my like thighs rubbed. Totally. I get that.
Starting point is 00:34:35 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tapa Grace. Hi, Grace. I'm marrying my high school sweetheart on Friday. Oh my God. I'm so excited. I'm literally telling everyone on the street. That is amazing.
Starting point is 00:34:47 So Tarpa Grace DM me. She goes, I'm telling everyone, including you. So fucking whatever. Yes. And now we're telling everyone for you. And I said, hey, tell me a fun fact about your relationship or how you met or just give me his little something. Because I'd love to share your story. And she goes, well, I've known him for 10 years and we've been together for seven.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Because the first three, I thought he was gay. Three whole years. You were very respectful. But then once. he gave me a wedgy and I thought that's weird um he put his arm around me at McDonald's and I was like oh my god I think he's straight and I think he likes me which is so cool because I really like him because they she's cool like their big friendship group all used to like go and do a workout on a Sunday or whatever and then after they would like go and get like a little
Starting point is 00:35:39 cheesy or a coffee on a macas on the way home or whatever or like big diet coke yeah it's coming They're coming back. They're coming back. I won't believe it until I see it. I've seen it online. People are talking about it, but I will not believe that until that crispy fucking liquid is in my gob. Big changes coming to McDonald's Australia. But that's where she was like, oh, fuck. And then they went on a little date and there was, you know, and then they liked each other. And then she was like, I thought you. And he was like, oh, no. I just, yeah. That's really so they've been together for seven years, but friends for ten. That's awesome. Yep, yep, which is the opposite of you and talk because you were banging for 12 and together for 11. I think it's longer than that now. But we were friends before, like, you know, we didn't just meet for a hookup.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Like, we went to uni together. So we knew each other other for a bit before. Someone asked me the other day how long our podcast has been going and I was like, we just celebrated our fifth birthday. And I go, great, how long have you known, Tony? I was like, well, five years plus like a month. Yeah, plus maybe six months. Yeah. Yep, yep.
Starting point is 00:36:44 That's crazy. I love that Grace is when she said in the message that she's telling everybody on the street. Like, I'm getting married on Friday. There is nothing more joyful than, like, if somebody ran up to me on the street and said that, I would just start crying. I think that's so beautiful. I ran into Brody Richards on my wedding day and I was in the city just like. Who's Brody Richards?
Starting point is 00:37:04 Just an old friend from high school. Cool. Lovely man. Lovely, beautiful man. Love it. Hi, Brod. And so Bridget's like getting her dress on and I was like, oh, I might go get us a drink from downstairs or something. a bit of a sweet,
Starting point is 00:37:14 but a snack, you know, before we had it. And he's like, what are you up to today? And I went, I'm getting married in like 30 minutes. That's amazing. Hadn't seen him for 10.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Wait, man, what are you been? What are you up to? What are you up to? Inbite got lost in the mallog. Yeah. Oh.
Starting point is 00:37:31 And I was like, yeah, we're just having a smaller one. And he goes, oh, this is my partner. I'd never met. We're going to get married and we're thinking to do it's small.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Like, mate, it's the bit, you know, we're having a great day and blah, blah, That's so beautiful. And it made their day
Starting point is 00:37:44 because I was like, I'm about to get married. It just, the joy is so nice. The day that Tobs and I got engaged, after we got engaged, we went to my sisters. Yep.
Starting point is 00:37:52 To tell her. Well, I told you with a frappe, so it was way better. So true. What'd you get her? Nothing. Just rocked up. But in the car on the way.
Starting point is 00:38:03 How's your frape? She'd bitch. In the car on the way there. Yeah. Every time we were stopped If there was a car next to us I went down the window I was like I just got engaged
Starting point is 00:38:13 And I went What? Yeah It's the best And everyone I was so excited I saw this woman And she had like
Starting point is 00:38:19 All these kids in the car And I was like I'm just gonna go She's like Fuck off And I was like I know She's jant
Starting point is 00:38:26 Toms and I was just drive It's so sweet. Should you and I just drive around the streets of Preston Tell people stuff I'm not I'm not just say that we just got engaged Yeah that's cute And just be like
Starting point is 00:38:34 Because they'll be excited About the news And we'll be like Safe Preston Market Ah Yeah. Yeah. T, all right.
Starting point is 00:38:42 Anyway. We're engaged, but you can't get these T-shirts anymore. Yeah, but unfortunately not available. Good news, engage, bad news, no more T-shirts. Yeah, sorry. We tried to save it, but you couldn't buy the merch anymore. I believe I said, do they even want to be fucking saved? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Which is harsh. I was lashing out and I would like to take that. I wanted to take that back. You did go to like a board meeting of like the volunteers, like if they were going to do another T-shirt run and they weren't. Yeah. It was defined. So we'll just go fuck ourselves.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Do you know, like, you just can't help people anymore. Sorry. I actually have some really good news for your love to say it. Kind of a different vibe, but still very, very good news. This is from Lisa. She says, hi, Tony Ryan. I just wanted to tell you my love to see it. My husband has officially beaten cancer.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Isn't that fucking amazing? Lisa. Oh my God. That is so wonderful. I can't even imagine how that must. feel. I'm assuming we're talking about the disease and not just like... Beating cancer up.
Starting point is 00:39:42 This is gone from down the road. Yeah, some loosely named cancer and he's like him. Yeah. And that's why I get bullied all the time. Yeah, people don't like him. No, legit cancer, real cancer. Huge. Isn't that so beautiful?
Starting point is 00:39:54 Yep. Slay. And the road to get to that point, well, I've never gotten to that point. Obviously, my mum just died, but I imagine crazy. Can't imagine. Fuck, dude, yeah. That's so fucking cool, Lisa. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:07 I hope that you're celebrating. Yeah. Tell people in the street. This is great news. Just tell people. If someone pulled up to me the lights and was like, why do we don't have it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:17 And I'll go, well, what's up? Everything I can. They go, I just beat cancer. You would cry. I would have to pull over.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Yeah. Genuinely. Who's over? But is. Okay, sorry. Yeah. Do you know what I mean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:31 It's a nice moment. And Lisa, I'm sorry, that is a spooky set. Because you're living a non-spooky life. You know what I mean? Like, that's amazing.
Starting point is 00:40:38 That's beautiful. Yeah. Like you don't have to be worried anymore because he beat it and you guys can have a long beautiful life together. Well, did he beat it or did the scary ghosts on our set scare it away? Yeah. Maybe I'll have to ask. Can't it. Hi Lisa.
Starting point is 00:40:50 Just remembering what the doctors did. I'm a doctor. Spook doctor. Ghost doctor. Okay. I think we'll wrap this up. Okay. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:40:59 I love you all so much. So much. Love you. Whether you've got good news or not. I love to hear about it. Thank you so much for sharing. Love you. Like, how amazing.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Love you. Bye. Love you, bye.
