Starting point is 00:00:00 I know the truth about the bride and groom. The whole wedding day, they talked about that cute time they met. But now I'm holding this information. I feel awful and I feel guilty. I'm Jared from Susie, New York, Ontario, Canada. Hi, I'm Atlanta from New Norfolk, Tasmania. Hi, I'm Sydney from Middle or nowhere, Colorado, and I approve this podcast.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast. My name is Ryan. This is Dr. Author Bestselling Dr. author, Tony Lodge. and there's been a break-in in Kentucky. Charles, roll the tape. Harlan County, Kentucky homeowner says she thinks it was left over fried chicken sitting on her kitchen table
Starting point is 00:00:51 that led to a bear leaving an absolute mess in her home. Look at the damage. This is some of the aftermath. So the bear broke into this woman's home. This was early Thursday morning. Shattered that large glass table she has in her kitchen there. The homeowner also said she's a heavy sleeper. She didn't even know this was going on.
Starting point is 00:01:09 at the time slept through the entire thing. A bear walked around her kitchen. It wasn't until her sister who lives in the house right next door called her and told her that there was a bear that just walked straight out of her house. There's also a photo of the bear as well. Because I've gone on a deep dive of this story. So a bear has broken into a house
Starting point is 00:01:27 and eaten leftover KFC. The girl next door is the sister. She calls up and goes, and the sister's like, hang up at 5 a.m., hang up at 5m. Yeah. Direct quote. Finally, she's like, what do you want? She goes, bro, there's a bear in your kitchen.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Eating KFC. Where did you say what? It was in Kentucky. You know what they called there? Fried chicken. Sorry, I'm seeing black spots in my eyes because too much air came out of my body. Are you on the side of the bear, the sister or the colonel? I'm on the side of the bear.
Starting point is 00:02:17 I would break in for, I'd break in for some KFC. Here's my issue. Yeah. If you're not finishing KFC, then it's on you. And who leaves it out? Surely you put it in the fridge. Surely. You know?
Starting point is 00:02:28 And then a bear. Imagine you're just a Kentucky bear or as they call them in Kentucky. Bears. And you just walk in the street and you smell those 12 herbs and spices. I think it's 11. It sounds like a cartoon. You know, the like pie on the windowsill, like floating to. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Would the bear even smell the KFC? No, they would. Do you reckon? Have you ever been within five kilometres of a KFC and not smelled it? Yeah. You know, when you're on a plane and you can smell that someone's like brought food on, and you can smell like either red rooster. It's normally Red Rooster or KFC and you can smell on.
Starting point is 00:03:10 You know how no one likes to be judged, you know? Totally. That's fair. Tell me if this isn't the worst thing. Hmm. You rock up late to a flight holding a bag of KFC that caused you to be late. You run onto the plane and everyone's just sitting there waiting. You walk in and everyone just looks up and you're holding the bag and everyone just goes, fuck you.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Well, it's like when you roll in late to a meeting and you've got a coffee. Yeah. And then you walk on in and everyone just smells those chips and goes, fuck you. I hope you got enough for all of us. Yeah. Hope you got enough for everyone, dog? Yep. Yeah, because we're waiting for you.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Yeah. Shout out to the bear. Yeah, good on you, bear. I mean, he was just hungry. Yeah. There's no way you would sleep through that. Sorry, tangent, but like, how could you sleep through not only the bear breaking but smashing that big glass table?
Starting point is 00:04:05 Yeah. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper. I don't think I would sleep through that. Let us know in the comments what you've slept through. Oh, that's good. So apparently, apparently when I was like four or five, me and mom and grandma went to Los Angeles and we went to Disneyland. What?
Starting point is 00:04:24 That's so sick. Big family trip and we're all in one hotel room. There's like three single beds, you know, all lined up. That is so good. How old did you say? I was kind of. So I was four or five. And you went to Disneyland.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Yeah. And Nod's Berry's Farm. I don't know what that is. No one does. Great. But it's a place that's fun like Disneyland, but just not Disney. It's like a farm. Oh.
Starting point is 00:04:47 And I remember, like, being so chuffed that I went to Nonsbury Farm. I might have just made that up. Let me know if that's a real thing. But anyway, we're on like the 20th floor or something. Oh. This is not Berry Farm. That's not a farm. That's just.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Yeah, Notsbury farm. Oh, I thought it was Nonsbury, but it's Notsbury. Oh, that looks so sick. Oh, for Halloween, they do Nats Scary Farm. That's funny. That's fun. So my grandma is a friend. So she would have gone on the scary rides and stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Sick. Anyway, we're on the 27th floor. and there was a massive earthquake and mom and grandma were like it felt because we're on the 27th floor felt like the whole building was going like this and so in the morning like down at like the breakfast at the hotel everyone's like oh my god how did you feel oh we did this we hid there what did you do and i was like what did you do and i was like oh what happened you'd been having so much fun time i was at nonsbury's farm i'll tack it out yeah probably swimming laps of that pool downstairs. Probably. Yeah. Sorry, it just doesn't line up for me that you went on this crazy holiday because do you remember
Starting point is 00:05:55 when we were on the Gold Coast and you were like, oh, we stayed at the cheap hotel down the road and snuck into the fancy pool. Yeah. Made us feel sorry for you that you, you know, it was really tough and then you go into the Knockersbury Farm. That looks fancy. Fancy. Disneyland and Knocker Berry Farm.
Starting point is 00:06:14 It's for, it's non-sbury farm. In the L.A. Yeah. That's crazy. Well, I think that was like, mom and grandma, or grandma was like, this is what I want to do.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I want to take Ryan to Disney. That's so sweet. Yeah. And I had, we had two weeks off school. Did you have to keep a journal? Was that like, oh, no,
Starting point is 00:06:33 you're only four. You know how like, would I be my therapist? No, you keeping a journal? Yeah, I said I'd do that last time. For kids,
Starting point is 00:06:41 like if we had time off school, it was like, oh, your school work is to like keep a journal. over the dark time. Yeah, and I think it was just so that, yeah, there was some accountability that you were remembering how to write while you're away. I still can't write. So maybe that was the undoing.
Starting point is 00:06:58 I blame Nonsbury Farm. Maybe that was the two weeks when they taught you how to speak good and spell right. Maybe. If only time could tell. Nope. That's not the same. Someone else went to Nonsbury Farm as well. We were there together.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Maybe that nerve way. It's crazy. These are top confession. Are they? Tony and Ryan.com.com. To submit your confession, they are. And Tarp is Tony and Ryan Pocast. Anonymous.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Confession. I know the truth about the bride and groom. The wedding was awesome and they actually met at a party at my house many years ago. Don't you feel like a celebrity at the wedding if you're like part of the story? They met at a house party at my place. You're welcome. Who knows what would have happened if it wasn't for me? You know, like how.
Starting point is 00:07:44 You're all welcome. It's the, it's that version of, like, like, can't wait to tell people. You know, like, I'm on the inside of their relationship. I actually introduce them. I'm basically part of it. It's basically a three-person thing and I'm part of it. Within minutes of them meeting each other, they both immediately knew they'd found their soulmate.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Oh, that is so beautiful. Oh, my God. Like, we are so perfect for each other. They were both really drunk and made this decision like, oh, let's not be a rush, drunken, messy one-night stand thing. no like this is this is it let's let's meet up for coffee tomorrow morning oh that's really beautiful I'm really like responsible right and just like oh no like this is serious like let's not fuck this up so that's really nice charles take notes he takes her out the front um make sure um she gets in the uber yeah and you know goes all right well see tomorrow they live not too far from each
Starting point is 00:08:41 we'll meet at that coffee place on the corner at 10 that's really sweet sounds great so he goes back into the house for his jacket. Yeah. Starts chatting to someone. Oh yeah, no, I'll get another beer and another beer and end up fucking my best friend in my parents' bed. He still met the next morning. They still fell in love.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Everything still happened the way it was supposed to. But now I'm holding this information and I genuinely wish I could forget it. There is probably no good reason to tell the bride. But I also feel like I shouldn't have to hold this secret myself. of I feel awful and I feel guilty, said the tarpike. So she doesn't know, their wife. The whole wedding day,
Starting point is 00:09:30 they talked about that cute time they met and they knew straight away and they both went home early and met the next day. And, oh, I was it an old mate's house and ever, oh, yeah, I'm the hero. And I know he railed someone else in the same bed. My dad rails my mum in. That is my confession. That is my confession.
Starting point is 00:09:50 That is my confession. It's so fun. that like they fucked in my parents bed is just like not that craziest sentence if you grew up like having house parties like or going to house parties that was just like quite normal as fucked up as that is like I'm just like that should throw me more than it does but I'm like oh like it'd be different now if you and Torbs fucked in my mum's bed would it we're married we're married have I told you something fucked about my mum's bed yes you have and I said that could have been that just you were conceived on then you said you don't know how adoption works
Starting point is 00:10:27 So true Yeah I don't think Put that in the core for this week I don't think Baby I don't think I don't think I don't think
Starting point is 00:10:49 I don't think I don't think I don't think I know I don't think I know I don't think Telling her is going to help anything No
Starting point is 00:10:56 I reckon that he's that's a bit scummy but I don't think it's that bad. Like, I think if it were me, say that it was towards and I'm like, we've been in love for 12 years or fucking whatever. And if he was like, oh, you know, that night I did hook, like, we weren't together, but I did hook up with someone else. I'd be like, oh, at the time, I would have been so devastated.
Starting point is 00:11:19 But you now have 12 years of not fucking up that I'm like, oh, that one night probably doesn't really matter. Is it the longer it goes, the worse it gets? No, I think it's the let... Because imagine they get married. They weren't together yet. Yeah, but like they've gone and told all their friends and family about the time they met. And then 12 minutes later, he's fucking balls deep in someone's mom's bed in the house party.
Starting point is 00:11:45 But like, isn't two weeks later when they're like, oh, like, oh, like, oh, like, oh, like, I'm going to be? And he's, oh, by the way, like, I ended up, you know, kissing someone on the... But that would break you up. You reckon? Yeah, I think if it was really recent and you weren't really in this place yet, you would be like, oh, you're a douchebag and like... Yeah, probably. If you've done this one, but like 12 years of, I'm saying 12 years because that's for
Starting point is 00:12:07 talk tonight. I'm guessing it's been a long time. It's been years. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That like, you know, 12 years you go, oh, well, nothing like that has ever happened. And this one night when we weren't really together, it's like kind of gray area. But what about... I think it is douchey, though.
Starting point is 00:12:19 But what about the... From just the Taffa's point of view, they're like, well... What do I do? I'm holding this. And then if she finds out later and goes, oh Tony can you believe this and you're like yeah I've known the whole time and like oh you're like so they're like well I'm fucking I feel like I know this horrible secret how rich is the husband shake him down I would say oh beautiful story
Starting point is 00:12:46 you told about the first night you met because I remember what happened that night and I would like a Mercedes Benz and I would love a brand new elite Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid six-seater. Mm. How do you feel about that? I'd hate for Denise to find out what happened. What about Denefew? Well, both of them could fit in the six-seater, Santa Fe.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Hybrid, elite. Imagine if this wasn't an ad, this whole story wasn't an ad. For the high-upers, do you know what? Torbs would be really happy about that. He'd love a Hyundai Santa Fe, Santa Fe, Elite seven-seater with sunrope. two things I love the high under Santa Fe no car better
Starting point is 00:13:36 one is the feel of those new leather seats in a high on day Santa Fe the second is and isn't it crazy how the back seats are also heated and you can control that from your own little button my other favorite thing is the amount of seats changes every time you say
Starting point is 00:13:49 well there's a stick do you know that the Hyundai Santa Fe there's two ways you can set it up you can do two two two don't like that oh I like when you can walk through the middle I fuck with that An aisle. An aisle.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I like an aisle. Or 233 for the seven. I don't like 3.3. Well, that's 8. Great. Even better. If anyone would like to guess what car we got from the rental place in Christchurch. And if Tony liked it or not, please a bet.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Yeah. But do you shake the husband down? For a Santa Fe. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You fucking do. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:14:26 Yeah. Niles Silver. Hi. I'm Atlanta from New Norfolk. like Tasman. Hi, I'm Sydney from Colorado, USA. I'm Jared from Susie, Ontario, Canada. And you're listening to Tony and Ryan.
Starting point is 00:14:49 I must have a shout out to you about Champion was big fans of the Highlander Scenti. I've written our patron. Brian W. Ingram. I could go for a chicken nugget. I was going to say Ingram's chicken is one of the best. Wonder if he's the air to the Ingram's throne. We'll have to find out.
Starting point is 00:15:06 He got that chicken money. You got that chicken money. Get the chicken cash. Emily Host, Mark, good on your Emily. Katie, Katie Hills, two Katie's in a row, not like me being like Katie. Katie Hills. James. James.
Starting point is 00:15:20 James. Yeah. James. James. Bond. Stephen Charles. James. James.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Marissa Taylor. Good on your Marisa. Laura Green. Laura Blue. Taylor Butler, Holly Noah. Chelsea McKenzie and Megan McAweyak. Thank you very much for being. part of our Patreon. Taylor Butler is two old-time occupations. It is. Good job.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Would you like a 44 long and a macchiato? What? What's a 44 long? Like a suit jacket? Like a Taylor, I see. And a butler would make you a coffee? I guess so. Does yours? What does yours do? What does yours do? He sits in a pantry and you don't know what he does. What does a butler do? Like everything? I think it's more like, Charles, what does your butler do? Like, they just get the door?
Starting point is 00:16:21 Oh. On the TV shows that I've watched, which have butlers, they're like the ones who like cook for you. They like also do the laundry. They're like, get the door as well. Like a housekeeper. But I don't associate housekeepers with like wearing a tuxedo.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Whereas a butler, you hear a tuxedo. I think like fancy suit opens the door and is kind of like very proper and might like set the fine china. out and stuff. But in terms of like doing laundry and cooking, you'd get your chef for that. Well, on parent track, she has a butler and he, yes, sets the table and like organizes the travel. He takes Annie to camp and like travels with them and like assist them and stuff. But yet isn't really doing household chores as much that you see. Is Cadbury a butler in Richie Rich? I haven't seen it. He's the same actor.
Starting point is 00:17:13 that plays 17 roles in Jamargy. Good for him. Big mistake there by the casting. Huge. No, it's not. It's symbolism. No. But then, also in Parent Trap, the dad has like a nanny and she does all the cooking,
Starting point is 00:17:29 but she's not like a fancy butler. Yeah. So, yeah, I guess they aren't the same role. Can we Google what a butler does? And if we like it, should we get one? I don't think we can afford a butler. No. I mean, change.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Charles's mom and dad probably have a couple, but in that six-story townhouse in Sydney. But like, you know when that stuff got dropped off the other day and no one was here? Well, Charles built a robot to do that. Manages the daily operations of a luxury household, overseas domestic staff, and provides high-level personal service to the employer and guests. So they are overseeing the housekeepers that are doing, or the gardener or something. Yeah, they act as a chief of staff for private estates, corporate houses or luxury hotels. That's great.
Starting point is 00:18:11 So the butler isn't actually... doing, yeah, they're like overseeing, like they're like the planner. Yeah. The date bookkeeper. Yep. That's crazy. That's crazy. I think though a housekeeper, like if you had someone that was like answering your door through the day and cooking for you and stuff, that to me just feels so wholesome.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Even though I know it's like a luxury thing to have, but like on 101 Dalmatians, the real life one with Glenn Close in it. they have a housekeeper and she like feeds all the dogs and so and it's so cute. There's this girl on TikTok that is like a private chef kind of housekeeper for this like family and like the Hamptons. Cool. And she's like, there's loads of them. I love all.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Yeah. And she's like, today I got up early to go to the market because the kids love fresh berries and stuff. So I like, you know, I asked, oh,
Starting point is 00:19:03 did you want the fucking strawberries or the raspberries today? Oh, okay, I'll go get some from the thing. Then I came back and like chopped up this big like fancy breakfast and laid it all out for everyone with the fresh stuff. and then I put a soup on for later in the day. And it's just like she's like being...
Starting point is 00:19:16 Like a homesteader, but like, yeah. And then she just like, that's just her thing. And also like unlimited budget. Like some rich family that's like, yep, whatever the grocery bill is, you know. It's a beautiful place and they're all nice and the kids love her. Probably got a pool. Fucking oath they do. Oh.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Have you watched Andy Cohen's AD? Like his beech house? Oh, the house that the real house lives built. Yeah. You know what I'm crazy. Charles, have you watched it? The outdoor shower upstairs. That's exactly what I was about to say.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Fuck right off. So there is like, he's got like direct beach access. Yeah, that one. And then it's got like a ramp and a spot. So the ramp up to that big cedar hot tub that his kids call a Jizuki. No, a Kajuzi instead of jacuzzi. And then that spiral staircase goes up to an outdoor shower that is his onsuit for his bedroom. Oh.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Yeah. And he's like, oh, and I've thought all about it because I'm going to live in this house forever. If I get a bit older and I like can't get up the, like manage the stairs as well, he's like, there's room there and power there to put a lift in. Yep. And then there's the outdoors. Because the idea is you're coming off the beach and so, you know. It is so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Do you want to know one of the great details? The far apart floorboard. So the sand goes straight through. Fuck yeah. In my future beach house that I'll never be able to afford based on Andy. That what the Real Housewives of Reservoir paid for. The Real Housewives of Reservoir. Good side.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I'm just thinking about what that show might be. It's really, Sophie and I, obviously. Hey girls, who got broken into this week? Oh, both of us. Yay! Oh, who kept their cans? No one. No one.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Woo! That is so funny to think about. But yeah, whenever I watch those, so for anybody that, like doesn't watch the architectural, um, open doors, like, architectural digest open doors. Like, you go to celebrity's houses and it's amazing. But that one is especially. The kids room was pretty special. So sick. Yeah. So fucking sick. It looked really nice. I really liked it. The little cocktail balcony off the side there. Oh, the rooftop with that. Yeah, you have to watch it. Charles.
Starting point is 00:21:35 It's so fucked. And all the time is that. Should we just not do the rest of this episode and just watch that? And just watch that. Yeah. I mean, it's not that interesting for people that are only listening probably. Yeah. Can't watch the video. but oh no I didn't mean like for the show I meant like oh you meant for us we all just shake hands and call it a day and just go yeah oh let me just read this and then we can do that because this story has come from jule tarpa jule yep who and this is one of the best parts about being a tarpa is that we get so many messages that start with the sentence something's just happened and you were the first people I need to tell I just needed to tell someone and my family doesn't really get it
Starting point is 00:22:11 And sometimes it's good news. Like I have, in Patreon, I have been the first person to know that someone's pregnant. That's huge. Quite a few times. I've just peed on the stick. It's positive.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Tony, I had to tell you. My husband doesn't get home from work until tonight and I just needed to say something. Yeah. I always feel very loved by that. Yep. That's huge. That's actually pretty high up on Tony's love language of being like the first to know.
Starting point is 00:22:37 But not because of a hierarchy, just that someone trusts me. to be part of their news. I've got some news to tell you. I haven't told Bridgett and I'll tell you later. Oh, yeah? I'm not on this show though. No, because you have to be the first.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Not all the tarpas can know? No. Don't you want all the tarpice to know? No, because Tony knows first. Oh, okay. Well, this was one that was still very flattering, but I've just done something that makes me look like a fuckhead and I thought that Tony would relate.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Yeah. Thanks, Jewel. Oh my God, Tony. I was at the beauty salon today getting my nails done. She was clipping my nails and I heard her yelp out. I looked up at her and one of my nails that she had cut had flicked up from where she was clipping and was flapping around in her eyelashes. So she's clip-clopped it off.
Starting point is 00:23:37 It's gone, ping! Landed in her eyelashes and the lash lady's like, where's it gone? She's trying to flick it off. There's the, no, I think she was like, where did that go? And it's like flicking around on the end. Stop blinking, bitch. It's flopping all over the place. Oh my, that's so.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Did she have to pick it out? Jules said the look on my face was shock horror and I screamed like, oh my God. Yeah. I offered to grab it, but I didn't really know what to do. Because my nail was about to scrape her eyeball. Yeah. Yeah. It's precious cargo in there.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Thankfully, she was able to kind of brush it out. And she was wearing gloves. Thankfully, she's about able to do that. And she goes, oh, thank God I get lash extensions. So she had a bit more protection. Yeah, gotcha. You know? Although I was going to say maybe there's too much lash.
Starting point is 00:24:32 There was too much area for the nail to land in the first place. To get, like, sucked in. Yeah. Jules says, and this is where the kind of the difficult part is. She said, I felt like I should apologize, but it's kind of not my fault. Like, if there's someone to blame, it would be the person working the nails. Well, because it is. Not to victim blame, but it's definitely that she is the person that did.
Starting point is 00:25:00 We're in the firing line. Yeah. But it's your fingernail, but you didn't put it in her eye. True. So, and I said to Joel, let me ask Ryan, because I just thought this story, so crazy, but I would have absolutely been like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. If you were jerking someone off. Yep.
Starting point is 00:25:26 And because she's so good at it, it was just like a massive fucking load and it landed all over the place. Sure. Is it your fault or the guy's fault? We've just gone so far from getting our nails done, haven't we? Um, no, but it's like, because the guy would be like, isn't it? Well, the guy would be like, oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:25:49 And it's like, well, but that's why I swallow. To avoid issues like this, such as these. And I'm married now. The crazy thing about swallowing is that it is perceived as like something because you like the swallowing. But it's actually just removed so many logistical. I actually just think it's polite. I think it's polite. I think it's a green flag.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Yeah. But I'm a team player. I know. Do you know what I mean? Mm. Not that I think it's a red flag to not, but it's definitely a green flag to swallow. But do you agree that like it's just like easier?
Starting point is 00:26:36 For you. I mean, you're getting your cock-s-like, what do you care? Yeah, I don't care. Sorry for saying cock. What? It just felt like a bit sexually aggressive. Can you type in to type of said what cock and find out how many... No, we've done that.
Starting point is 00:26:48 But I just... Million times Tony said that. Just the way that I said, you'll get your cocks up. Just felt like a bit sexually aggressive. Oh, but like, then where does it go? If not. Yeah. Like, it's got to go somewhere.
Starting point is 00:26:57 It's definitely the cleannest. 358 times. Can you tell us, Charles, who said it more times, whether it was Ryan or Tony? Tony. Oh, Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, you said cock seven times in that episode. It's you. You're cock heavy. No, you were five to one in 50-hour lulls.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Look at the episode called Dick Whisperer Lodge. You got four out that day. Would rather get four in. I just felt like that was a bit sexually aggressive in that moment. And I was saying, sorry. What I'm saying is that, yeah, like, often when it's not your fault, you can still like, it's like natural to feel like you want to apologize. That you go, oh, shit, sorry.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Yeah. I don't think it's anyone's fault. I think it just happened. Are we talking about the nail still or the, yeah? I'm talking about the NAP. I'm trying to bring it back to the NAPS. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. But good example.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Good, sure. Yeah. I mean, it's different, isn't it? Not really. Because I think that if you are hooking up with someone, especially if you're hooking up with someone who has a penis, there's going to be come to deal with at some point. In a nail salon, no come.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Well, less come, probably. But you probably aren't thinking you're going to cop a nail. You're not like, well, it's just. a matter of time, but you hope that it doesn't occur at all. Well, in both circumstances, a professional is doing what they do best and copped one to the face. Yep. And there's one person sitting there receiving treatment.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Yes. I don't actually see how it is different at all. I've got to you love to see it. If we want to move on. Because you've just referred to a hand job as treatment, which is crazy. as a doctor, I don't perform those procedures. I don't know about that. I've got kind of a serious you love to say.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Oh, do you want me to go then to break it up a little bit? No, I think that I should go first because it is serious. Like, we should give it the time of day, but I'm just saying like it's... Do you want me to go in between? No, I think you... No, you come, you bring us back up at the end. This is good awareness. I just want to share it.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Nolan Dresden, who we've heard from, a few times. Yeah. And to refresh everybody's memory, he was the recipient of a stem cell transplant back in 2016 because he was battling leukemia. And that transplant saved his life. And it was actually at the time an anonymous donor.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Right. Who he's been able to be in touch with since then. And they've talked and met up and stuff. Oh, wow. It's really... I didn't know that was... Yeah. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Yeah. But I mean, if you... Is it kind of like... You know, he can have like... like a closed or open adoption. Maybe you could say like, oh, I'm willing to be contacted by the donation center. Yeah. Because you would want to know that you made a difference, I think.
Starting point is 00:29:52 I just send a note saying thank you, but yeah. Yeah. But Nolan messaged in Patreon and said that this month for September is International Blood Cancer Awareness Month, which includes leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. And we've talked a lot about recently about donating blood, having blood taken. That was a little bit different. But we've talked about donating blood and how we're all very passionate about that.
Starting point is 00:30:16 And lots of people have been touched by that in their lives. But I just wanted to share, and Nolan asked if we would share, like the two main organizations that match donors and patients will put the links into the show notes and stuff. The NMDP and the DKMS, the international databases. And to jump on the database, it's like non-invasive. You just have to register. Then they send you a little swab kits. They've got like the top line of your DNA.
Starting point is 00:30:48 And then if somebody can benefit from you, then you kind of go through the process. Yeah, right. But to be on the database is really easy. Yeah, cool. And then if somebody does need it, then you can kind of go like, oh, yeah, like I will go through the process. And Nolan has said it's particularly important for anybody, for any people of color to become donors. Because statistically they're the hardest matches to find. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:31:11 So he says, specifically people of African, East Asian and Latin heritage. Like if you have any connection that you should do it because there's people that just like can't get matched with people because there's just not enough people in the database. He says, sorry for the long note. Don't apologize. This is really important.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And I think a great way for you to help somebody without really needing to do too much. But just put yourself on the database and it could help someone. Yeah, huge. So all the information will pop it in the show notes. But like, amazing. Nolan's still here with us because of someone that was on that database. An anonymous person that was just willing to give some time and blood as it were. You know, like,
Starting point is 00:31:51 Nolan's, yeah. So I think it's really amazing and I know that the tap is a very giving, super generous. So for the month of September, you might see this around other places. Yep. But if this is your sign to sign up and jump on, I think we should do it, definitely. Absolutely. You just got to do a little swab and then you end up on the database. And if you could help someone, like, how amazing.
Starting point is 00:32:11 That is amazing. And that will require potentially giving blood. So to be... Because I am available. Because you have done that. So to get onto the thing, you literally just swab your cheek and send that in. And then I don't actually know...
Starting point is 00:32:28 Do you know the process of giving stem cells? I do think it is a like process. I don't actually know what's involved. But yeah, like it's a... Not a procedure as such, but it is. procedure. Yeah, right. But you could save someone from literal, like, so my mom, she had, sorry, she had lymphoma.
Starting point is 00:32:55 And it was really rare. Like, so she had CNS lymphoma, which is central nervous system lymphoma, which is really rare. And her primary cancer was in her brain, so she had a brain tumor, but she had lymphoma, which is blood cancer. And the thing that made it so difficult for hers was that it wasn't just in her. blood, like the, the tumour was somewhere where it shouldn't be. I mean, no one should have fucking tumour in their brains.
Starting point is 00:33:19 But, like, so that's why hers was so complicated and why she was so sick and why she died so fast. They just didn't really know how to treat it. And why this kind of wasn't, like a stem cell kind of transplant wasn't an option for her. Yeah. I also don't think that in Australia, we're very, like, have been at the forefront of stem cell research, etc.
Starting point is 00:33:42 But if it's something that you're interested in, you might help someone. That would be really amazing. That's really nice. So you love to see it. Thanks, Nolan, for sharing and bringing some awareness to something that's so important. Yep. And thanks for Tony going first and you love to see it because beat that. No, it's not about beating it, but I thought that you could zing us back up.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Okay. Because I just cried about her mom being dead. Yeah. Love to see it. Yeah. So if you are treating someone. So if you're giving someone a hand job and you don't want come to go everywhere, Swallow it.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Make a friend. I got two you love to see it. One is tickets available today for the Tony and Ryan Live recordings in Australia. They are in Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney. Midday today, Australian time. Just Australia time. If you're in Canberra. If you're an Australian in Melbourne, it's at midday.
Starting point is 00:34:36 It's at midday. So exciting. Getting Hot 29.com.com. are you. My left seat is from Emily Colette Begg. Hi Emily. I had Big Emily to Colette. I challenge anyone to think of a hotter sentence than this.
Starting point is 00:34:55 I've just been accepted into Cambridge University to study architecture. Lie. Doesn't exist. How amazing is that? That's close. I'm not usually very good at tooting my own horn in real life. And I usually play my achievement. down but I thought the tarp community would help pump me up and be smug.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Absolutely. That is Cambridge University for architecture. Stop it. Stop it. I'm so grateful this opportunity. Big hugs to the tarpers and type community that made me laugh and supported me when life wasn't so funny, but things are looking up. Oh, that's so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Yep. And... I'd love to see that. Emily Collette, beautiful. Thanks, Em. Thanks, Em. When you... Is it like...
Starting point is 00:35:41 Like, because it's Emily dash Collette, would you be like, is she like Emily Collette? Like Emco. Oh, yeah, I like that. Mco beauty. You're welcome, Emco. Yeah, I like that. Yeah. What are your thoughts on a hyphenated name like that?
Starting point is 00:35:53 You know when someone's got like two first names? It's tough because, yeah, you want to call an Emily M, but then you go, but you're an Mco. And some people with hyphenated names, I don't like that. They don't like that. Because I grew up, like my. Best friend growing up is Casey Marie. It's always a Marie or a Louise. It is.
Starting point is 00:36:17 And I'm a Louise, but I'm not hyphenated. But so Casey Marie. Or a Kate. But like, and so people would call her Casey Marie. She's like, that's so formal like Casey's fine. And so because I'd grown up, I'm like, oh, people with hyphenate names, I don't care. Like, that's my. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And so at my first job in Bumbrey when I moved to Hot FM, there was a salesperson called Sarah Sarah Jane in Calgoly, I think. Yeah. And I called, I via email, I'm like, hey Sarah, thanks for the welcoming email. And she goes, hi, Tony. My name is Sarah Jane. That's what she emailing that. Well, it's right there on the email.
Starting point is 00:36:51 And yeah, I was just thought I was being like, for me it was like a nickname. And I was like, I'm really sorry. Like I wasn't trying to disrespect you. I remember the Olson twins, weren't they? Oh, MK&A. Yeah. But she was a Mary Kate. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:06 And she's Mary Kate. Yeah. She doesn't get a Mary or MDog or. Oh, girl. My love to see it is whoever named the Olson twins. Mary Kate and Ashley, haven't they fucking cooked on that? Like, what the fuck? Like, was the mum just like, like, in a cauldron being like, give me the best name?
Starting point is 00:37:27 Do you know what I mean? Like, how on earth did they cook so hard on that fucking name? That is crazy. Did they know that were going to be famous? Because that's famous a name. Mary Kate and Ashley. It just rolls off the motherfucking tongue. It has no right.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Being as perfect as it is. Mary Kay and Ashley Olson, the Olson twins, MK&A. Like, everything about it is just like, question without notice. Question without notice. What would I name my twins if I had them? Charles and Ryan. Larry and Gary, the Bash Brothers.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Say it was your, actually let's say it was your wedding. And you've finished up Mains and they go, oh, dessert will be about 10 minutes. and you go, I think I might just duck out for a sig. Yeah, sure. Imagine. Are the Olson twins,
Starting point is 00:38:20 the ultimate people that just happen to be on the balcony for that sig? Smoking area, 1,000%. So the question is, out of anyone in the world, if you just like ducked out for a quick sick into the lane on the balcony.
Starting point is 00:38:31 Who's the most likely? The most, but just like, of course you are and cool, and this is fucking pretty sick. Yep. Fuck. Mary Kate Nashley.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Ashley. is a great answer to that question. The other person that came to my mind immediately, and this might be because you and I talked about him the other day, what's his fucking name? The buildup in stentioned. Yeah, that was amazing. Oh, um.
Starting point is 00:38:57 The guy that dances in Charlie's Angels. His name's Eric Knox in that, but what's his name in real life? Sam Rockwell. Sam Rockwell. Sam Rockwell would be out there having a long, fancy cigarette. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:10 And he'll just go, what's up? he would who would who would yours be that's a great answer i think it's accurate i think i'm off him because he's such a good hear me out he's such a good villain in iron man too haven't seen it that because he's the the villain and a bit of a jerk i think he's a bit of a jerk but he's an actor he's actually just pretending he's just and that's the thing about acting but if you're not used to that That is confusing. But when you see how... Because you go,
Starting point is 00:39:44 Not bad pop poohs. No, but when you see him that, you go, I don't know if we could chill. But I'm like, no, you're pretending. Sam Rockwell's good.
Starting point is 00:39:50 He also is a very good villain and, like, plays quite a horrifying character in the White Lotus season that he's in. I have heard. Yeah. Apparently there's an amazing scene. Well, it's just like,
Starting point is 00:40:00 it's just crazy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I reckon he might be up there. I reckon... I think that that's just a good answer. And I would say, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Like, if he goes, do you have a siggy, I'd go have one. Take the packet. What's that guy's name, Pascoe Padao? Pedro Bascar. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:16 He'd be good. Paddo Padal. What the fuck. It'd be good. And he would be really lovely as well. Gerard Butler. 1000% and I'd suck him off. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:28 Isn't he great. No one would have to worry about an eyelash in the fucking come. Come in the eyelash because it would be taken care of. He goes, where am I going to put this? And you go, don't worry about it. You just enjoy the treatment. He goes, are you in a wedding dress? I go, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:40:43 You've been married for four hours. And you're already sucking off an Irish actor on a balcony. It's Gerard Poplar. Yeah, and fair. What are you going to do? Yeah, if Ridge said that, I'd be like, yeah, what are you going to do? Not do that? Yeah, like.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Okay, see ya. Oh, actually, we've got a guest on the show tomorrow. What? Do you know about this? No. Tomorrow on the show, Tony, the nickname Whisperer Lodge will be joining us. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Many tarpers have sent through... I think you mean pepper Tony pizza. I think you mean Lieutenant Lodge. Loose Lips Lieutenant Lodge will be in tomorrow because Tarpers have sent through their nickname and the whisperer is going to tell us how they got them. Great. All right.
Starting point is 00:41:30 We chat to you then. Love you, bye. Go get your tickets at toningrime.com.com. Live shows, maybe. Just Tonynerun.com will get you there. Yep. Love you. Oh, we got a new website.
