Starting point is 00:00:00 We're about to run 10 kilometres. I regret everything. Let's go. I run. Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast. I've run 10 kilometres. I finished, what, 20 minutes ago? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:33 You fucking, first of all, you've absolutely nailed it. Thank you. Unbelievable scenes. Yep. I'd like to say that my favorite kilometer out of the 10, I'm drunk on running. I know, yeah. You've got that adrenaline.
Starting point is 00:00:48 You wouldn't understand. Athletes. You athletes, no, I don't understand. You're right. My favourite kilometre was, I believe, the sixth kilometre was the first time I saw the top corner. The top corner. And didn't that give me a rev up?
Starting point is 00:00:59 It's doing numbers online. Yeah. It should be. We were situated at a little spot. We got there at like nine and all these tapas kept coming over and be like, has Ryan run past you? I'm like, he starts at 10.30. So we were like there for an hour and a half just fucking.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Gass net run up. And every other runner. It was the. The Bears. Yeah. But I tell you what, knowing that Tarp Corner was about the six or seven K mark, when I got to four or five, there's this, fuck off, Charles. I said a six or seven. Charles, it's my day.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Yeah, it's actually my day. It's basically Father's Day. Yeah, thank you. Which is coming around soon and you'll get another one. Please. Men don't get enough in this one. Oh, no, it's so true. But there was this long hill about kilometer four or five.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Uphill. Yeah. Like you go down and then you do a Ui. And the whole time going down, I was like, I have to go. And you can see people going back and you're up, fuck. Yeah. But running up that hill, I was like, oh, I know that just around the corner, the ta-off is there. And I was like, that was the gas up I needed.
Starting point is 00:02:01 And we were just after a downhill. Yeah, so I looked like a hero. Yeah, so you fucking ran straight part. But everybody that ran past was getting a big fucking bitter, like backwind behind them. Yeah. And pushed him down the hill. And by the time they got down that way, yeah. We've got, um, so.
Starting point is 00:02:19 we did a little live stream to make signs for you. We made a lot of Ryan. The signs are great. Ryan based signs. We also did some more generic ones. The one that's really done numbers and our friend Luke, Tapa Luke from Toronto, who we met in Toronto. He got a magnet for Maria as well and came down and supported you on the run today.
Starting point is 00:02:37 He's just moved to Melbourne. Welcome to town. And everybody was like, oh, why Melbourne? Like, why Australia? And he goes, oh, this really shitty podcast I was a tour from. I was like, no joke. Like, he has stolen my favorite sign. Which was?
Starting point is 00:02:50 But the one that did real numbers was smile if you wish you were getting fingered right now. And we have an entire reel of every time, I was holding it. And every time someone ran past and Smarter went, oh, yeah. And we had one person run past. It was like, they looked like a couple. Yep. A male and a female. And they ran past.
Starting point is 00:03:13 She read it and she went, ugh. And he went, oh, babe, what is it? And she goes, look at that. And he looked back and he went, ugh. And I went, fuck you. I had a trip at K-7. Sorry for raising. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:03:24 No, I actually take that bad. Sorry for raising $30,000 for charity. And that's I'm raising money. Sorry. I'm sorry. I know. I'm sorry. I know.
Starting point is 00:03:32 It was actually in the first kilometre there was a sign that said, run if you think I'm hot and sexy. Oh, fuck. That I've missed a trick not doing that. They were like, so fucking hot. hot the girl's holding the son well you can't do it if you are hot no but i was like oh slow down i'm married yeah but i was like oh like it's i'm not trying to objectify you let me look at you you are too hot to for that it was so uncomfortable no you can only do that if you look like me
Starting point is 00:04:05 because i was running and they they saw me look at the sign and then look up at them and then get faster but then they're like oh you're running oh and i was like yeah oh but seriously you girls are so hot it's uncomfortable they'd probably already finished their half and then they went back out there with their sign it was embarrassing for everyone in Melbourne how hot these girls were and because they're like run if I'm hot I could do anything
Starting point is 00:04:30 yeah like and you would still be hot yeah for you fuck you can only hold a sign like that if you look like me or like Kevin James I think it was you know what I mean like and here I look quite similar we're in the same realm no we are and I don't mind it's okay King of Queens Tony Lodge
Starting point is 00:04:47 But I wore my hawkers in case you needed me to sub in. I actually saw your runners earlier and I was like, oh, lucky you brought them. Yeah. Well, I thought I'd be on my feet all day. They're the comfy shoes I own. Yeah, no, they would have been great. Yeah. I just want to shout out to, so those hot girls were at Fed Square,
Starting point is 00:05:02 which would have been 800 metres in. Yeah. And doesn't that get you going? Yeah. Second was shout out to Tarp of Becker, who I saw on the course. She was running. She came from behind and ran past me. Slay Becker.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Yeah. And she goes, keep going, Ryan. I was like, thank you. And I was like, how are your legs? And she goes, Ryan, it's the second kilometre. You can see her on my stories, by the way. That is so fucking funny. As soon as you said that, I was like,
Starting point is 00:05:28 hang on, let me grab my phone. I need to chat to you. But she would just go, like, at the end, I don't know if you noticed, but, you know, other people high-fiving each other. I'm like, hey, I'm a bit sore. She goes, we just started. But is that, is that running chat?
Starting point is 00:05:41 Running chat? You go, oh, how the legs? And you go, but it's too early. I think it's running chat at the end. It's like. But she just goes, oh, Ryan. She's too early for that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:49 And I said to her, which is true, it was about the two kilometre mark. And I was like, this is the longest run I've done in my prep. Yeah. Like I'm up to it now. I think it's important to acknowledge right now that you've just slayed a 10K. Thank you. A 10 slay, as we'll call it. People were asking, like, Tppers that came to support us this morning were asking like,
Starting point is 00:06:12 oh, he said he hasn't really trained, but like, what's the tea there? And I'm like, no, he really didn't. And I heard Lily telling someone some industry insider information about how in your calendar, like you'd put like go for a run, you'd be it or whatever in your car. Twice. And then not go. Yeah. So what happened?
Starting point is 00:06:33 You'll see a video in a few weeks where I'm sprinting holding a big boarding pass to Fiji. Yeah. Here's inside chat. I ripped my fucking thigh off my bone for that video. Yeah. And that was two weeks before the run. Yeah. And so, I actually think until then, I was built, I think I came into work one day and I was like, oh, I did the best run yet.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Because you'd been building up to it like incrementally. And I was like, I did about 2Ks. And I was like, cool. If I get a 3, then a 4, I'm like, oh, that'll be fine. Then you're away. So that two I did was the last run I did because I sprinted for that video and hurt my, like, I was just sore. I'm like, well, I better not push it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:07 And then I missed all those other runs. I went and got on massage the other day and limped out of, into the food court. Yeah, nice. Yeah. I'll be back there tomorrow at Northland for those playing. I did see you. got one booked in for Wednesday as well. My beautiful wife booked that in for me.
Starting point is 00:07:19 She goes, you're going to have sore legs, I'll book your massage. That's very sweet. But she booked it at a place that is nice and not in a food court. Oh, I don't like that. That's too fancy for us. There's a new place in Altham. So she's like...
Starting point is 00:07:32 That new one that you're doing... Oh. So she goes, oh, there's this new... It's like, you know, it's a bit sensual and a bit of whatever and it's dark and moody. I think there's also like... I'm in for a massage, but it's a type of place that I think has a breathwork class. I really want to do breath work. Could we do that?
Starting point is 00:07:48 What's the Reiki but instead of sand, it's people? Like the electricity, like the... What? Reiki instead of sand. Well, you know how Reiki's with sand? Raking. What's the reiki? What's Reiki is like energy healing?
Starting point is 00:08:01 It's Reiki. Yeah. Then what's the sand one? Raking. Like if you had a rake? No, but like you know those people that like have a beautiful, like Japanese garden? A Zen garden. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Yeah, it's not Reiki. What's, I thought that was Reiki. Rakey is this, the hand healing. It's probably got one of those. Yeah. But they don't do Raking. No. See you in a set.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Shout out to a few much. Happy and Tarpers. We probably all know what Rakey is. And, you know, maybe... You know what I think he's talking about Rakey. I think you're talking about Rakey. Oh, do you know Steve King's brother? It's Ray King.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Ray King. Hey. What did you want a house for? No, Ray White. Oh, sorry, my mistake. And there's a Ray White sign just over there. No one else can see. that but I can confirm that is...
Starting point is 00:09:03 It might be in Charles's camera. True factual comedy. So I thought that today we could dedicate our champion tarpers to make them our coaches for your run for today. Please, thanks coaches. So a big thank you to champion tarpa, coach Sam. Thanks, Coach Vinci. Coach Alex, Coach Alex, Coach Alex, Coach Kyle Fradley, coach Melissa McLeod. Good on you, Melissa.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Is there a coach Ella coming along? No, but Charles would fuck coach Ella. I know. Um, Coach Dingbat, Coach King Dingbat, sorry. It's a music festival, Charles, for people your age. Oh, he's like, who's our? Charles.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Charles, keep up. I'm sorry. Charles, you got to, if you want to stay smart with us, you've got to get going. Okay. My best one run 10 cases. New challenge, say 10 words and have them all been nothing. Oh, well, you sound too. Yes, I have failed too.
Starting point is 00:09:54 Okay. Oh, he's cramping. Get a banana. You fingered me. You fingered me on a daylight, you name. We're on the same team and I'm laughing out. No, okay. We got that.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Yeah. Thank you. Coach Troy Christopher. Good on your coach Troy. Coach Mikea Evan. Coach A. Neil. Coach Cascia Zaleska.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Thanks, Coach Kna. Coach Knaan and coach Kayla Hints. Fucking lot of Ks in there. I'm in a K-hole. Yeah. Well. You ran a 10K. A lot of case, 10 of them.
Starting point is 00:10:30 I met seven different Bex or Beckers today. Beck heavier running event, isn't it? And a Brooke. And I said to Brooke, I was like, that's enough of the fucking B names, mate. Do you reckon that, like, there is a high concentration of Bex at the tan at all times? Yes. That is one of the great observations of Mel. Do you, are you from Melbourne?
Starting point is 00:10:52 I think that I should do a tight five and that should be in it. That is hilarious stand-up comedy. That's gear will only work in Melbourne. Yeah, and that's okay. Well, where do I live? Melbourne. Do you know what I mean? Charles, write that down.
Starting point is 00:11:06 I'm put that in my type five. Lil's got it. Get Danielle to make a carousel. Well, I could do like the Seinfeld thing like, isn't it crazy how, like when you go to the tan, you can't not meet a Beck? Beal, baby, bim, bim, b'bibu. Nah, so. Add that to the carousel.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Yeah, okay. So Beck, who is running alongside me. Which one? the one who's running alongside me with the snakes. Oh, yes. She was actually supposed to do the 10K, slept in, and kind of looked at her watch and was like, oh, Ryan will probably be about five about there,
Starting point is 00:11:39 so I'll kind of meet him there. Oh, was Becca Tapa? Yeah. With the lollies. Yeah. I thought that, I actually thought Beck worked for the event. No, it was my personal snake wrangler. Don't tell my wife.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Got one on them and home, you know. I'm sorry, right. Sorry to my wife. That was disgusting. Bridgett, you can move in with me. Lily looks so disgusted and that is upsetting. Now, my personal snake wrangler at home. She goes, can I get you anything?
Starting point is 00:12:10 I'm like, oh, you're okay, Beck. She goes, I've got snakes and I was like, fucking hand him over. Well, yeah. Like, I'm not going to stay there. Does a snake feel like a bit of a choking hazard while you're moving? No, like you've got it in your mouth like this. A sweet treat on the course. Sorry, that was obviously terrible.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Yeah. Yeah. Um, if you're listening to the episode today, Tony just did the global signal for sucking a guy off. If you're listening. Um, oh. Well, everyone is. So, no, but I didn't see it. Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Um, there was, at the drink stations, there was, there was the water and the electrolytes. Oh. But there were like two different stands. Oh, yeah. And I didn't, I got to figure this out at first and neither did anyone else. But can I just say the disrespect that water. receives. Someone goes, oh, like, picks up the cup and he's like, I'm so thirsty.
Starting point is 00:13:02 I've never been part of my life. And he goes, oh, water. No. Just fucks it off. And the person pouring the water was, son. It's precious aqua. But it was the first table. So everyone goes, oh, is that the thing?
Starting point is 00:13:15 And she goes, no, it's just water. And everyone goes, oh, don't worry about it. Yeah. Did you go for a water or did you go for a hydralite? Well, water first, but then I. Surely you need both. No, but I went a few tables because I didn't know what was on. up for grabs.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Then I saw a colour in there and I was like, why am I drinking water like a fucking idiot? I was going to say, it feels crazy that you wouldn't drink an electrolyte drink while you were running because you drink Gatorade every day of your life
Starting point is 00:13:38 while you're not running. Like, and I hate to actually rake you over the colds here, but like you drink Gatorade. Sorry, did you say, it's actually raking. Are you talking?
Starting point is 00:13:47 Oh, no, sorry about that. I've just hit you on the leg. Yeah, nah, we'll cut that. But you know what I mean? Like you drink Gatorade while you're sitting down. I think. Imagine moving and not being like this is finally.
Starting point is 00:13:56 my time to shine. All right. Health experts of the internet because that's where you would go for health advice would be the YouTube comments obviously. Yeah, or Instagram coaches. I think I'm often dehydge. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:09 But I don't think I need to drink Gatorade. No. Like is the middle ground those new kind of like, like is it just water? You need water. Like a pinch of salt. Well, um, Hydrolite is better than Gatorade for hydration. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:23 So like if you had like gastro or something. Hydrolide is better for you than... Yeah, okay. And those little powder things we've got, they're probably good, eh? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And like... I just love the taste. Drinking heaps of plain water, yeah. Isn't great, like, that's why you need a bit of salt. So you don't like, wash all your salties out. Yeah. But I mean, I think, how do you actually feel? Like how, right now, how do you feel, do you feel good or are you... Well, I rolled around on the grass before and had a bit of a
Starting point is 00:14:53 stretch. I'm sorry, we're actually filming at the Collingwood Football Club. Yeah, and there's people here for like a tour. Are they like to have training or something? No, I just, I think that they've like, like, they must be members and they're here for a tour or something. Yeah, and they're like, oh, he must be one of the athletes. He looks like he's just ran. Yeah, they know that I'm your coach. Yeah, so there's that of course. Um, no, I'm feeling when I finished. Like, because it's quite cold out here. Yeah, it's got cold. And I think now that I've sat down, once I stand up from here, it could be a tough walk back to the car. Yeah, and how far away did you park?
Starting point is 00:15:23 Oh, a fair way, because it turns out if you wanted to book a car park, you needed to book in advance quite well in advance. Oh, if only someone looked up parking in advance to things, tell Charles how many steps you had on your fucking pedometer. Do you know this? No. Before I started the race, I'd done 6,000 steps. And my average for the last few weeks for the whole day is four.
Starting point is 00:15:45 He's 5. Yeah. Oh, 5. Mine's 5. No, mine's 5 steps. Do you want me to drop you back to your car? I think we're going to actually have to. It'll be cruel to walk all the way back.
Starting point is 00:15:57 I've actually got a call from San Mitchell, the coach of... Oh, there's the siren. I'm actually playing the AFL. I'm actually playing for the Hawks. Can you see the MCD behind it? No, that's a different stadium. It's behind that. We're in the sports precinct because we're athletes.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Yeah. I hang around here a lot. That's where the Australian Open is and the basketball is. That's Amy Park just there. Have I ever told you about how I went to the international sports women's breakfast when I was in year seven. No. And we got to go and Susie O'Neill talked.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Madam Butterfly. Absolutely crazy. Yep, Susie O'Neill was there. And so was Liz Ellis from the netball. She is one of the great humans. Yep. And she was there. And I got to take a loaf of bread home.
Starting point is 00:16:41 That was like the take home thing was fruit bread with chocolate in it. At the sports women's breakfast. And doesn't that just say athletes? And it was beautiful. You know what they're giving my? Liz Alice ain't eaten. No chocolate bread. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:16:53 But that's what they gave us at the international sports women's breakfast. So I actually feel at home right now. In the sports precinct in the arena of life. Sport is where I thrive. And you can fucking print that on a t-shirt. Pop that. And while we're just like telling people to fucking, you know, get amongst it, shout out to Jessa, who on the track said,
Starting point is 00:17:14 I had a bet with my friend how many times you'd shit and I said it was three. Oh, how many times did you shit? Two. Suck shit, Jessa. Two's pretty good. Cop that. One was at Fed Square, 700 meters in. I had to walk through a cafe.
Starting point is 00:17:27 While you were like in the race. Yeah. I was like, oh, there's a bathroom in there. And I just went through the cafe and they go, sorry, can I get you anything? I was like, no, just because I'm just going to do the bathroom, thanks. Yeah, I'm actually an athlete. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Don't talk to me. My manager's not present. And then I actually documented another one. Because I thought the tap was, because a lot of people was. I did see on the Instagram story. Yeah. That are two. Two stops?
Starting point is 00:17:47 Two is good. Yep. And were they both wheeze or were they both poos? Uh, one of each. One of each. Oh, it's like, one of each. Was the poo the early one? I can't actually recall.
Starting point is 00:17:59 I sat for both, but one was a fake. Yeah, take a break. No, but it was also just like, and welcome to the, you're kind of like, oh, well, if I, because you run and your, your, your body's all worked up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. But I think. Unlike that after I walked to my car in the morning. Um, a big shout out also to Kirsten who came down. And she uses like a walker.
Starting point is 00:18:22 And it was her first time ever taking the walker on multiple different types of public transport. So she could come down and support you today. Yeah. And she was such a fucking champion. And then she also walked all the way around from where, from top corner. I thought I saw a top corner. From Torp. Torp corner.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Torpana. Hardly, Noah. From Top corner, she walked with us all the way in to meet you at the finish line. Yep. No. So fucking a huge shout out to Kirsten. And we chat all the time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:49 She's such a babe. Shots a babe. She is also dairy-free and nut-free, and she always messages on Patreon with, like, um, like suggestions and recommendations for Charles. So she'll be like, just went to this restaurant,
Starting point is 00:19:02 they have an amazing dairy-free, nut-free, blah, like Charles should go, like she messages all, it's very sweet. Has she ever sent through the recommendation for Charles to get the fuck over 6-7? No, she hasn't. That's a real, well, she needs to lift.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Yeah, I mean, send through some good recommendations. He's doing it now. He's doing it now. He's doing the thing. That's really unfortunate. I just want to shout out. There was a few on the track, but I met Brooke and I met Francois.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Francois, who are low vision. I think. And they were running with a guide. So Brooke has no peripherals when I'm speaking to. She's got no peripherals. And what's in front of her, she's like, is still ain't great. Wow. And she was running 10Ks.
Starting point is 00:19:45 That is crazy. So she had one helper like on her shoulder and another like literally a meter and a half ahead kind of. And so I said shout out, and because then I said, oh, we're running for the dogs today. And they were like, oh, man, you know, because they were pumped to hear that. And even the helpers, imagine like, oh, I assist people with low vision.
Starting point is 00:20:06 By the way, you're also running 10Ks today. See, this is the thing is that they've also got to do it. And they've got to match the runner's pace. Like, they've just got to. And they can take a break? Like, no, you're here to support me. Yeah, yeah. Even though if I was running with a guide, I'd be like, oh, I don't mind if you want to stop.
Starting point is 00:20:20 You let me know. I'm fine. But Francois was... Who we all, when he ran past, we cheered. He was, I think, in his 60s. Fuck. He was, not just peripherals, he was pretty low vision all round, still running. He has a dog himself.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Oh, wow. Yeah, so when I was chatting to him, I said, I'm running for the dogs. He goes, oh, I should have brought mine, but we're not allowed him on the track. Oh, yeah, of course. I guess it would be, like, not safe. But he was killing it. And so I put this photo on my story, and I was running alongside him for a bit, and was that saying about how the tarpas are getting around us and everything.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And I post that on my story. And then I get to like kilometer nine and I see my mate Rach and her daughter Poppy. Yes, yeah. And they said, oh, we saw Francois run past. So we're like, oh, Ryan must be coming up soon because we saw you did the video with him. We were sure you were running alongside him. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:14 No. Turns out Francois, a 60-year-old blind man. Smote you up. Beep by about 15 minutes. And you know what, Slay? He's probably trying to... Yeah, and he also didn't have to stop to do videos for companies. So what is Francois really?
Starting point is 00:21:28 No, no, no. Well, we're up on the companies because they donated money so that we could name the doggy. Yeah, but he didn't have to stop to do the things. Yeah, but we can't be like, oh, a lot of company. Like, oh, thank you so much. Yeah. Good job, everyone. So we saw you the first time and then we saw you on another corner.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Just behind you, there was someone like dressed like in all medieval. There was a few of them on the track, yeah. So there was one that was right behind you. And then I, when we moved, she came through and I was like, oh my God, we've missed Ryan. And she goes, he's about 10 minutes. Yeah. I don't remember her name, but she was such a babe. I think that was.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Becca. Oh, no, I was going to say, no, that's a banana guy. No, that's a banana. I think was it? Her? Yes. The normal. We do this for fun.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Swad, cry. It looks like we're having fun. You have to hit people with swords. It's very therapeutic. Good luck. So when we saw her again, I was like, oh my God, we missed Ryan and I had such a panic. And she was like, no, he's coming up the rear. He's on his way.
Starting point is 00:22:34 After that video, she's like, see you later then and just goes, choo, take to the golf. So I was like, are they like Game of Thrones characters? No. Okay. Glad I didn't mention it. No, no. Because there was a few out there on the course. And because there was a few U-turns.
Starting point is 00:22:48 There was a lot of like, they're obviously part of a group. And they like see each other and go, yeah. Well, I mean, I don't know this for sure. But because they would dress like that and she said that they do like swordcraft and stuff. Like they do LARPing, which is live action role play. So they go to a park and they like dress like. It's really cool. And can run in all that gear.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Yes. Yeah. I would be so fucking. Yeah. I mean, I was sweaty and I didn't do anything. I think the creativity of some, the dress ups of others. Yes. The ability to run in.
Starting point is 00:23:17 Anything. With low vision. Yeah. The fact that all these people still beat me. But it's not a race. It says losers. No, but it's not about beating you. It's not a race.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Well, actually, I do have some news to share because it's not a race. It's not a competition. But it isn't. It's not a race. It's not a competition. So we obviously ran for Guide Dogs Victoria today. Thanks to the same way. Yeah, and we raise the money, the type of community, BJ and Pippa and people on my shirt.
Starting point is 00:23:45 And so it's a big day for Guide Dogs Victoria. Yeah. But it's actually run Melbourne is you can nominate your charity and it's actually a big day for lots of charities around. So like a lot of different charities, this is like a big earner for them and sets them up for the year. Oh, that's amazing. So we saw the Peter McCullen Institute there. There are a lot of smaller charities. There was this one.
Starting point is 00:24:04 It was called Running for Premature Babies and I watched their YouTube video last night and that just destroyed me. But like great job to those families that are doing a lot. But over a million dollars was raised today across every. everything. Holy shit. So every year they're like, oh, you know, it'd be cool to get to them. But today it got to a million dollars in total for charities around Melbourne. It's the biggest day for the Peter McCullen Institute and a few others.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Would you like to guess where the TARP community, not just the guide dogs, but our specific fundraiser where we ended up on the top earners list. Considering there's a big law firm that gets all their big clients to chip in. And because obviously one of the partners is like on the board and like, you know, they really. So a big day, but as a type community, just us. Yeah. Where do you think we landed? Um, I hope.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I reckon we would have cracked the top 20. We just got in the top 20. I can announce that we were the number one fundraiser for Run Melbourne in 2026. Holy shit. Yeah. Number one. So. Fuck. They're going to ask you to do it again.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Why couldn't we have done worse? That's amazing. Yeah, so I think second is in the 20,000s and we're up in the 30s. Are you checking Charles? Are you seen that? I hope someone didn't come in. But I don't know, I think you saw it at the end.
Starting point is 00:25:35 There was one of the top runners from the Peter McCullen Institute. And he came over and he was like, congratulations, mate. Big Day and he goes, we used to be number one. Till we came along. We used to be the highest down. You're kids on the block. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:46 They're actually tarfers, though, which was. He was very torn. Yeah. He was very torn. But they obviously did a really great job. That's so, oh, thank you so much everyone that donated. That's amazing. I can't tell you, because I was very nervous.
Starting point is 00:25:58 It was actually very cold this morning. So I don't know if it was nerves or just literally, but I was a bit kind of like, I was a bit edgy and a bit nervous. Didn't know how I was going to go and stuff. But when I arrived, I was chatting to some people and they told me that. I can't tell you the pride in our community to be able to like, You know, tens of thousands of people here today and just to know that we'd actually raised more money than anyone else. I was like, geez, it feels so good to be a tar for today.
Starting point is 00:26:27 So thank you everyone that turned out. Some people donated five bucks. Some donated thousands. It all contributed. So thank you very much. I really appreciate it. So second behind us was $10,000 difference. We raised $10,000 more than them.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Yeah. I think you're right, though. I think we've overcooked it. Good for us. I think we've really overcooked that. because they're going to want us to do it next year. Yeah. Maybe it's your own next year.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Well, as we know, it is in a competition. However, however, we do have a little bit of something for you. What is it? We do have a little something here for you. Now, it doesn't matter where you come, as long as it's on my face. and we got this for you, all the tarpers, Ryan's got the runs, number one trophy, because you're the first for us in our hearts.
Starting point is 00:27:27 Yeah, and that's before you knew that we raised the thing anyway. Yeah, but that was first for us. Yeah, so we got you this beautiful trophy. Well, thank you very much. That will sit next to the Webby. Yes. And be right up there, and I'm very proud. Oh, where's my medal?
Starting point is 00:27:42 Oh, that's my medal on? Oh, I'm actually a gold medal. Oh, we have to start again. We'll start again. Laugh at my jokes, everyone. Oh, it doesn't have your name on it. No, they're fun. They cheaped out on that.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Thank you very much. I do appreciate that. You fucking killed it. And every time somebody said, like, oh, has he done much training? And I was like, no, but Ryan will pull it out and destroy it. And I've said that to so many people who went, oh, I haven't trained.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I was like, no, Ryan is a fucking winner and you will kill it. And you fucking did. Well, I appreciate that. that. I appreciate that. Rewatch that speech in three days when you're like, can this shit shut the fuck up about his sore legs? No,
Starting point is 00:28:25 I was going to be like, oh, can we just do the meeting downstairs? Because I don't want to walk up this day. You just go, oh. I'm like, replay that bit. Yeah. I mean, as someone who complained about a sore foot for a while, I mean, it's probably your turn.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Originally, we were both going to do the five, and I said, Tony, you're getting married in July. Yeah. I reckon it's not the time for you to be pounding. Because I just, I've seen you fall out of taxis. I've seen you fall downstairs in unnamed accommodations. Into taxis. I've seen you roll over shit.
Starting point is 00:28:54 And I was like, you know what? It's not your year. It's not the time. So instead of both of us doing a five, Ryan did a 10. Say, that's what teams do. Yeah. That's what best friends do. Yeah, it's what best friends do.
Starting point is 00:29:03 But I was very proud of you today. Thank you. You really killed it. I appreciate that. I appreciate that. Do you ever love to see it? Because I'll have to think of something. That was actually mine.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Oh, great. Yeah. Great. Oh, there's a siren. I thought that you'll love to see. Was that where the number one? It was. It was.
Starting point is 00:29:16 It was. All right, bye. No, thank you so much to every single fucking Tarva that came down to Tarp Corner on the race track today. Yep. Not a race. On the running track. Yeah. Not a race, but guess who fucking won.
Starting point is 00:29:28 My best friend. Ah, suck my piece. Yeah, I'm going to take this first trophy home and Bridger goes, oh, you came first again, did you? She doesn't come at all. Sorry. Well, she didn't today. To the race. but she will worry, darling.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Thank you very much. I had something else to say. It was important. Say. What was it, though? I don't know. Thank you so much to everybody that came down and cheered you on.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Lots of people came down and brought their own signs that they made, held our signs, cheered you on. I actually got a bullhorn confiscated from me today. I saw the first time I saw you. I think I got the footage of you saying, I stole the horn. Yeah, yeah, but they took it back. Great. They were like, you, I think that's enough.
Starting point is 00:30:08 Yeah. I remember what it was. There's still 24 hours to go from when this. video goes out to donate. Yes. So if you've got a five or a 20, I'd really appreciate it because all the money goes to Little Tapa, who is officially now named Tapa, by the way. Which is so excited. And so the money goes to his training. So he'll become a therapy dog or will help people who are blind or low vision or be a specialist support dog. But he'll be helping people in the community and the training helps, not only the training, but like matching him with a really great
Starting point is 00:30:35 person that needs his help. So I'd really appreciate it and 24 hours to go. Yeah. And really we put in so much effort. I made a joke on the TV. Hasn't that done well online? I've watched that. I reckon I'm part of the million views. Yeah, it's so funny. I've watched it so many. It's so funny. It's so funny. Even Roy would reply.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Oh my, yes. Yeah. But your face, it's like the funniest. If you haven't seen it, you need to go to our Instagram right now and watch the video of us on the Today Show. Now I know it. The morning show. Someone's been watching Channel 9. No, she wouldn't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't I genuinely never.
Starting point is 00:31:13 We had a meeting with someone the other day and we said, oh, they said, what do you deal with seven? And we go, oh, there's no real deal. We just get along with him really well. And they go, yeah, I'm always been a seven girl. And Tony goes, like verbatim, she goes, well, I prefer seven to nine. Yeah, and Tony just went, oh, we'll stick it in. And Charles went, well, I prefer six to seven.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Yeah. Love you all. And I'm actually retiring from any kind of exercise for 2026. No, and that is, you've done your dash. Thank you, literally. Quite literally done. Sorry, there's a person running laps around us right now and just, you know what?
Starting point is 00:31:48 Good for you. Yeah. Yeah, sorry, where's your middle? No, love you so much. Thank you so much for watching. Thanks for everyone that came down. Thanks for everyone that came down. Okay, be cool, everyone.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye. Thank you for everybody that came down and watched for made signs. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you. Love you. Bye. Run, run, run, run.
