Starting point is 00:00:00 Attention Google Maps. Turning right is fucked and we need your help. Please offer the preference to not turn right unless there is traffic lights or something that's going to slow down the flow of traffic. For the love of all that is Google, please help us. I can that'll get it there. Hi, I'm Sam from Chisbury in the UK. Hi, I'm Brandon from Hamburg, Germany.
Starting point is 00:00:21 Hi, I'm Tara. And I'm Kirby. And we're from Melbourne, Australia. I'm here we've been here at this podcast. Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast. Sorry, we've just had such a remix of the intro in our office. That was pretty full on. That was great.
Starting point is 00:00:49 We do have some seats left on the Gold Coast. If you like to see our live show, it's at the end of January, it on a Sunday afternoon. Yeah, just a cheeky one. Yep, so anywhere in the area, come on down. And a beautiful part of the world is just inland from the Gold Coast. It's called, and we're all mature enough for this. It's called the Scenic Rim. You laughing?
Starting point is 00:01:13 No. I would never laugh at something. Bodezert, Boehner, Buna, Tambourine Mountain. I did hear that. Tambourine Mountain. Doesn't that sound majestic? That sounds like where I want to retire. It's actually beautiful and stunning.
Starting point is 00:01:26 It gives like commune kind of vibes. Like, yeah, I'm up at Tambourine Mountain. Yeah, and it is actually probably that kind of area as well because a bit of Gold Coast vibes. And then if you want to drive down to the beach, it's not that far away. Like, I could actually see you. tambourine mountaining. That's tambourine mountain. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Well, there's me done. Actually, is that not stunning? I've got to check the real estate in Tambourine Mountain after this. Isn't that actually amazing? So hang on, no. Logistics chart. Which airport would I fly to?
Starting point is 00:01:58 Probably Gold Coast, but Brisbane's not far either. Yeah, and then what drive from there to Tambo? That's what we call it there. Yeah, you drive up to Tambo. Yeah. So the... The local council were hiring and they made a careers website. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:14 And boy, oh boy, did they get some interesting applicants? Because this is the jobs page. Scenic rim jobs. Scenic rim jobs. And again, I can't stress enough. This is not a meme. This was the local council website. And a shout out to Nick Rosso, who's a tarpa that lives in the scenic rim and how.
Starting point is 00:02:35 And he said this job search website was live for five hours. hours and five hours only. But you know how long like councils and government departments? Like 75 people would have to approve this. And they've probably been talking about it for five years. Yeah. They got the job funding approved two minutes ago. And they're like, okay, finally we can do it.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Yeah. And then it happens. And then within, you can imagine everyone's just gone, oh, it says scenic rim jobs. And look at that couple, just looking out over the view. Well, that would be a scenic place to give or receive a room job. He's about to roll back on his back and get the legs up. She's going to go to town and he just goes, wow. There's me up there on Tambourine Mountain.
Starting point is 00:03:17 You can see me? This is the most scenic one of these I've had all day. Scenic rim jobs. That sounds like if you're too old for Kentucky. You're more into scenery and less partying. But too young for the P&O Cruise. Yeah. You do the scenic rim job.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Like is that a tourism company? like waiting to happen? I think so. It should be. Well, it's not a you love to see it, but they're like, that made our fucking day. The whole town was talking about it. That is so funny. And those kind of things like living for me, don't they?
Starting point is 00:03:50 Because then, now whenever somebody gets a job in the local government, they go, oh, you got one of those scenic rim jobs, do you? You got a scenic rim job, did you? No, I was just at home this morning. What were you talking about? Fuck, that is so funny. You cannot write shit like that, eh? Like.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Well, turn it. You can. But not on purpose. Not on purpose. Now, I've realized a huge error in the next segment called What Did You Sleep Through? Yeah, okay. And the error is that we already know how all of the stories end. Oh.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Because yesterday when I said, this thing happened, and then you go, and then what happened? I was like, why don't know I slept through it? Yeah, so. Yeah, okay. So what I'm going to do is drop like a, and guess what? And then you have to be like, what happened? Yeah, okay. Acting.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Pretending. Acting. Steph Lou. Hi, Steph. What? Oh, at the end. Although she starts with I slept through, so she's already given it away at the star. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Write a story, Steph. Take us there. I slept through the 2018 Hawaii missile alert when the whole state was told a ballistic missile was incoming and to take shelter immediately. An alert went on TV, radio, everyone's phone. I was in a dorm with three roommates and a boyfriend. staying over. So there were five phones like in the dorm just all belting their fucking heads off.
Starting point is 00:05:15 My family's calling like get the fuck out of there. What's going on? Where are you? Now, I don't want to suggest. That is so scary. You know, you're at University of Hawaii, you know, bit of party and going on. Yeah. Don't know what state they're in.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Yeah. They're in Hawaii. Oh, is that a bitch she gave away. That's really funny. That's really funny. Yeah. Thanks you. Thanks you.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Not one of the. five people in the dorm woke up. Fucking hell. So the next, oh, and then guess what? What? They didn't wake up. Oh, you fucked that out. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:05:51 That's okay. This was a practice round. Turns out it was a false alarm. Lucky or we'd all be dead. So, what's a ballistic missile? It's a mistyle that's ballistic. But like, so when I hear ballistic, I think of when I was a kid and someone would be like, oh, my mom went ballistic.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Yeah, so imagine that kid's mom. Is a missile? Yeah, and that's it. But what does it mean? Charles, what does it mean? A rocket propelled weapon that follows a high arching gravity-driven trajectory to deliver a payload over a predetermined target. Well, I've had a ballistic scenic rim job, actually.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Yeah, I've delivered a payload over her with a trajectory. And that was a predetermined target. We can all agree. It kind of just means like, go on the fuck off. Yeah, okay. Yeah, technical turn. No, thank you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Like, oh, her mom is going the fuck off. That is horrifying. Yeah. Well, she just definitely know she was asleep. She was asleep.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Yeah. And thank God. Nolan Dresden. Hi, Nolan. I slept through the entire fire department evacuating my entire building. Sirens, blaring,
Starting point is 00:07:00 lights flashing, firefighters searching every room. I used to get migraines in college and one day I came home and just went to bed at like 4 p.m. Yeah. And slept right through. the whole thing until the next morning.
Starting point is 00:07:12 My roommate came home that evening, thought she could smell gas. She called 911. All that stuff happened. And they're like, where were your last night before? She's like, next door. I was asleep. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:07:23 The whole time. All good time. What? Oh, and but guess what Nolan was doing? What? Asleep. Oh, you're joking. Missed the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Didn't see them, didn't hear them. All good. Thank God. Nothing was actually. Is it, is it? Are a lot of these stories just going, thank God, nothing bad happened? This next one's pretty fucked. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Emily Ladder. Hi, Emily. Emily, has it spelled with Y or an IE. Why? Okay. Still puts out, though. And you'll hear why. A drunk driver crashed his car into the tree in our front yard.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Oh my God. Fuck that. Driving like a fucking idiot drives through, slams into the tree in the front yard. Getting in the car drunk. What a fucking fool. Dog barking. Police sirens. The whole family's watching from the front window is the red and blue lights flickered.
Starting point is 00:08:20 The whole neighborhood heard the screeching of the tires, the bang. Then they're seeing the lights. They all come out to see what's going on. Truly lucky it hit the tree and not went through the fucking house. Actually, though. Like, that's fucked. Guess what Emily was doing. Driving the car.
Starting point is 00:08:39 No, fortunately. unfortunately, unfortunately. I woke up like an hour later because I needed to pee. Emily. So she's, I need to pee, just walk to the bathroom and goes, why are all the lights on and why are my whole family sitting in the front room
Starting point is 00:08:52 looking out the window? And why there's seven police people here like drinking cups of tea in our front room? And they're like, oh, you home? Didn't you sit here all that? And she's like, what?
Starting point is 00:09:01 It happens the best of us. Happen to me? Yeah. You just sleep through. What? What? What? What?
Starting point is 00:09:09 That's fucked. waking up and just the red and blue lights wouldn't that just well you just immediately who's dead yeah like someone's died yeah fuck that is horrific god I hope that shit went to prison not Emily you're gonna arrest for sleeping what about the driver sorry everyone touchy hi I'm Tara and I'm Kirby and we're from Melbourne Australia
Starting point is 00:09:35 I'm Sam from Chukesbury in the UK Hi I'm Brandon from Hamburg Germany and you're listening to Tony around. A massive shout out to a few of our champion tappas. I've read our patron. Thank you very much for being part of it. Labruchito Roya. Thank you very much for being part of it.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Mary, Georgie, Alyssa Riekelman. Good on you, Alyssa. Emily Caraballo. Great fucking name. Harley Noah. Andrew Seal. Helene Halana. Helena.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Sorry, not Helene, Helena, Helena Miller, Heidi Jager, Sarah Lee. Like the cake, my favourite cake. Yeah. And Natalie Dow, sorry, Natalie. How long since you've had a Sarah Lee dessert? Because they also did like an apple pie that you put in the freezer and stuff. They've got like a butterscotch pudding thing, I think. But as you know, my favourite is that banana cake.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Because that's the one that my mum used to buy. We'd always have it in the freezer in case someone came over. In case of emergency? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Popped over, let me get the Serrily out of the freezer. But when you were a kid, people popped over a lot. That was a thing that occurred. Your big in popping culture.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Yeah, people popped a lot. Lily actually sent me the other day, uh, thermomix dupe for the Serra Lee banana cake. Apparently it tastes exactly the same as the real thing. I thought you're going to suggest a theromix dupe for a second there. No, no, no, no. I was like, oh, my God. Thermomix.
Starting point is 00:11:08 What did I say? Theromix. But a jupe of that. You're thinking of Theranos because of the film coming. The memes are ever at the moment. Hey, why would I deceive you? Yeah. Why would I deceive you?
Starting point is 00:11:19 I don't know. I don't know. I'm not saying. Why? The eyes have to be wider and more crazy. Yeah. Why would I deceive you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Why would I deceive you? Uh. Why would I deceive you? Uh. Have we? What would I have to gain from doing that to you? I actually, I'm actually too good at that. That's fucked.
Starting point is 00:11:39 That is a bit scary. Did we also talk about Sarah Lee last. time we mentioned Sarah Lee. Maybe. Sorry, I don't know why you want me to answer. Good chat. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Like the tapar. Yeah, last time we gave her a shout out, you know, whenever that was. This would be the first time and she probably joined eight years ago. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:11:59 because we're going through it. We're getting there, though. We are getting there. We are getting there. Took us 15 years to do those personalized videos. Yeah, and now we're coming through. Yep.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I can only do so many an episode, you know. So true. So last week, I got invited to this beautiful little creator event with YouTube. It was really a big honor. So we got, we got invited. And then we were like, oh, who should go and whatever? And we went through it. We looked at the schedule and we were like, oh, I think that Lily and I will go.
Starting point is 00:12:35 And so Lil and I, we flew up to Sydney. And it was really crazy because it's at the Google offices. Was it really like really like felt high tech and stuff? It did. And it was like they've got like a lot of security and like there's just so much going on. Did you need a physical ID to get in? Did we need a physical ID? And I asked because the only fancy building I've got close to was the Facebook meta building and I wasn't allowed because I didn't have ID.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Well, so because you fucked that one up, they sent me to this one. Yeah. Oh, did you know? I saw this thing the other day. You could joke. What ID stands for? identification well the i is actually short for i and the d is short for dentification yeah i d yeah you got it yeah that's a thinker i think that's in the norm macdonald documentary
Starting point is 00:13:29 yeah and i keep seeing trailers for it and i just think it's so funny great glad i shared thank you room for us all here isn't it yeah yeah so luckily i went to google obviously is where we're going for this. We set the brains. And the beauty. Lil was there, you're right. And the booty. Little Miss, no pants for 2026.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Yeah. For the rest of 20206. I have been wearing pants up to this point. Anyway, so we fly up for this thing and we get there and we're like mingling with all these other creators. I stole some stickers for Charles. We stole a bunch of merch actually for everybody. Well, thanks to the drink bottle.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah. I've been using that. No worries. Anyway. and they go, oh, everybody, we're going to go and have some lunch now. And I kind of thought that, like, I don't know, maybe we're going to a boardroom and they've ordered some sandwiches or like, or maybe they're like, you've got an hour, there's heaps of cafes around, go take care of yourself and then come back in or whatever.
Starting point is 00:14:29 And I kind of like picked up my bag and went to leave. They're like, no, no, no, you can leave all your stuff here. And I was like, well, I'm going to need my shit because I've got to go. And they were like, oh, no, it's in the building. And I was like, okay. and they take us to the lift we go up in the lift the door's open
Starting point is 00:14:43 and it is this enormous in the Google building this enormous cafeteria like Australian workplaces don't really fuck with that hey not really like it's I had never seen this in my life and so
Starting point is 00:14:58 we get up there and there is just probably 10 different like kiosks for food, different cuisines. There's like, like a food court. It's like a food court. And I was like, oh, like, so do you just pay?
Starting point is 00:15:15 And they're like, no, no, no, like it's all taken care of. It's free. So if you work there, you can just go up there through the day and eat and it's all taken care of. I think that's like a lot of American businesses. That is, but that's so weird for us. Yeah, we'd never have that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Like, we always have like snacks in the office and stuff. And even that is fairly new for Australia. Yep. Like, that wasn't a thing. That's a real perk. Yeah, like, oh my God, you got music bars. Yeah. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:15:41 You wouldn't fucking read about it. Anyway, and we get up there. And Lil and I are both like so shocked and surprised that we lose the group. We were with. And so everybody starts walking off. Oh, well, the responsible ones will go to the fucking fancy thing. Yeah. So we are standing at the lift.
Starting point is 00:15:59 And all of a sudden we're like, oh, fuck, everybody's gone. We didn't know where the fuck we were supposed to be going. I was mesmerized by the Mexican stand. And there was so many. people up there, like all these people that were there for the creator day that we were there for. But then all the billion people that work there regularly. Yep. And they're all working in the office, of course, because it's full of fucking food.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Why would you not? So we obviously... Work from home and eat my own food? I don't think so. Exactly. You know what I would do, take a little tappy. Take dinner home for Torbs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Yeah. I go, oh, this is for me at my desk. I was going to snack on this a bit later. Yeah. At my house. With my family. Yeah. You've got like a full roast chicken in your thing.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Like just pop it in and whatever. Anyway, we obviously like deer in the headlights because this guy walks over to us and he's like, are you guys okay? Fucking how. Fucking how. I think we're pulling this off. I think if we just like act confident.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Yeah, no. Quick question, guys. How long have you been missing wherever the fuck you're supposed to be? Yeah. Are you supposed to be in this building? Like, how did you get past the security? Do you know what ID stands for?
Starting point is 00:17:04 Because you would have needed that to get in. I'm like, fuck, in a couple of weeks, I think my co-host is going to tell me, so could it come back to you? He's in the Norm MacDonald trailer. So, he's like, are you guys all right? Like, you're a bit lost. And I was like, oh, I'm wearing a lanyard right that says like, creator collective. I'm like, we're here with the creator collective. Oh, we're here.
Starting point is 00:17:22 We're supposed to be here. Well, yeah, I'm trying to like legitimize that we're here. She starts playing defense right away, which makes you look even more stuff. No, we're supposed to be here. Look at this lanyard that I've printed from home. And we're like trying to be on our best behavior and not like, Imagine showing someone your lanyard. Just like at any time really, but like.
Starting point is 00:17:40 But even worse, because I'm in the fucking Google building. Everybody there is extremely cool. I look like a fucking absolute tosser. Like on a tech cool. They're cool. And smart and shit. They're cool. And they're all just like walking around.
Starting point is 00:17:50 They're all really nice. Anyway. So he's like, can I help? I'm like, we're here with a creative collective. Like I'm not sure what was supposed to be. He's like, oh, I don't know either. And I was like, oh, are you here for this event? And he goes, no, I work at the school.
Starting point is 00:18:03 He's stupid bit. And he's like, he's like, So, like, let me give you a lay of the land. He's like, over there, they've got a Mexican being over there. They've got a Greek thing. Over there, he's like roast and chippies. Over there, there's coffee. Over there, there's water, sparkling water, juice, Coca-Cola, like whatever you want, everything.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Charles, what are we doing working here? I know. I want to quit. Yeah, I hate it here. I just applied. Apply for all of us. I know that you've got my resume. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:29 And I was like, so you work here? Like a fucking mom. Do you know what I mean? I'm like, oh, so why do you do here? And he goes, yeah, I work here. And I was like, how long have you worked here for? And he goes, oh, five years or something. And I was like, so do you work for YouTube?
Starting point is 00:18:44 He goes, no, I work for Google. And then. Did you know that one of them owns the other? They're in the same. They're in cahoots. Well, they have the same. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:54 And then he made a terrible, terrible mistake. Because I said, do you work for YouTube? He goes, no, I work for Google. And I said, oh, what do you do? And he goes, I'm the head. of product for Google Maps. Google Maps. Google Maps.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Oh, okay. And I go, well, do I have a fucking idea for you? Yeah, okay, okay. So, I hate turning right. I hate turning right in the car. Yeah. I will not do it.
Starting point is 00:19:23 I have proposed on this podcast before that they introduce a feature where you can set that as a preference. So I can say, please don't make me turn right unless there is like a stop sign or lights or whatever. An arrow. Don't just fucking make me loosey goose.
Starting point is 00:19:40 You turn onto a big right road. Especially you come out of a laneway and just drop a right and you're like, what, I cross eight fucking lanes. I'm on Bell Street. You want you to just fucking hoof on to here. The fuck do you think this is? So I mentioned this on the pod and then this other guy,
Starting point is 00:19:54 I don't know the creator. Someone will, because I get tagged in the video all the time, um, made a video basically saying the same thing that I had said. And I was like, oh my God, great fucking mine. think alike. I'm telling this guy, Brenton is his name. I'm telling this guy.
Starting point is 00:20:08 You let him have it. No, I didn't let him have it. I go, I've got a great idea. And don't you just, the same when you tell people that you make a podcast and they go, I've got a great idea for a podcast. Yeah, because you love when people give you advice.
Starting point is 00:20:19 But people just do it all the time, right? Remember when we started and I used to give you editing notes? Remember? Is that what we're doing now? No. Anyway, and so. It went well for both of us, as you can tell. But so I'm like, I've got a great idea.
Starting point is 00:20:34 And he goes, oh, yeah. And I told him that idea. And he goes, oh, yeah, that's actually like a cool idea. He's like, okay, so like non-artorial roads need, like, that should be a preference. I was like, yeah. Yeah, it should. And he goes, yeah, cool. It's just that like things like that kind of only get across the line if they like get a lot of attention online.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Really? I was like, oh, really? Yeah, I've got some fucking news for you. He goes, real. really? That's what I brought in invention mode. He goes,
Starting point is 00:21:06 well, Lily did mention adventure mode to him. All the ideas went, when he loved him. Yeah, okay, great. And he goes,
Starting point is 00:21:13 so it's like if like a podcast talk about it or something and people tag Google and that's when these things. Wow, wow, fucking wow. That's when these things kind of get brought up in meetings and stuff. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:21:29 I've got a podcast. And he goes, do you? What do you make? And I'm, I was like, oh, it's cool, Tony Ryan. I make it with my best friend. He goes, how long you've been doing for him?
Starting point is 00:21:38 It was like, oh, we've just turned five. Yeah, we actually started the podcast when you started at Maps. Yeah. Oh, coincidence? Maybe. And he goes, that's really awesome. He's like such a nice guy. And I was like, so what, should I email you with my idea or whatever?
Starting point is 00:21:53 And he goes. And a fucking invoice? Yeah, that I've come up with this great idea for you. He goes, he goes, no, no, no, but that's great. And he's like, and if you do talk about it on the pod. And people start, you know, tagging Google Maps or whatever, maybe something might happen.
Starting point is 00:22:09 So I'm not going to tell people what to do. I am. I'm going to tell you what to do. But I'm actually going to ask you to do something first. Of course. I'll do anything for you. I love you. I'm supposed to do.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Well, it's for all of us. Yeah. And every time we... I put my body on the line in the cafeteria. And it... And haven't we all been doing that for years? I'm going to need you. Mm.
Starting point is 00:22:34 And we can brainstorm it and workshop it in real time. But I'm going to need you to look down the barrel and give us that juicy 30 second. The spiel. Yeah, that it will become the real. Yes. So then everyone can tag Google Maps in it. Yep. Now we need to start hot.
Starting point is 00:22:51 We need to get people's attention. We need to talk to the people who are passionate about this. Yep. What about for that top, the first line? Yep. Let's make driving safer. Let's make the roads safer because people want safe. roads. They want to be feel safe in the car. But does safe sell? You know what I mean? Is it sexy
Starting point is 00:23:12 enough? Because I agree it would make it safer and it is like logical. It sounds like an ad though. Okay. All right. Well, it's not an ad. This is not sponsored. We're just trying to get this across the line. Um, what about like let's fix this common Google Maps problem. What about turning right is fucked and Google Maps need to lift? attention Google Maps Turning right is fucked and we need your help Okay Action
Starting point is 00:23:42 Attention Attention Google Maps Turning right is fucked and we need your help Please offer the preference To not turn right Unless there is traffic lights or a sign or something that's going to slow down the flow of traffic
Starting point is 00:23:56 For the love of all that is Google Please help us And Brenton that works at Google Maps in Sydney that Tony hit up at the buffet. He said that if a thousand people tag Google Maps below, he will get this done by the end of the year. So if you want to feel safer and more confident
Starting point is 00:24:12 in the car, tag them below. I can that'll get it there. We might be able to do that. I'm just trying to help everybody. Mainly me. Well, you are a part of everyone. We're a part of a community. We are villagers.
Starting point is 00:24:25 I also just think people would use it. I just reckon it would really help like the flow of traffic. I find it so intimidating when the thing takes me to like that because I'm just like, who knows how long I'll be fucking stuck here for? You're turning right and cars start banking up behind you. Like the end of our street.
Starting point is 00:24:46 You could be there all fucking day. Yeah, I never turn right there. But the people that do, I'm like, take your time. Yeah. Oh, but they do. They do. After an amount of time of sitting there to turn right, I will just hang a left and figure it out.
Starting point is 00:25:01 Same. It surprises me that more people don't do that. So the other day, Tony and I were at the McDonald's in Abbotsford on Huddlestford on Huddleston. Big busy street. How many lanes is that, four each way, maybe more? Yes, and there's a big island in the middle. Yeah. And we have to turn left.
Starting point is 00:25:21 That's a very important fact. Well, the island, yeah. And then Tony pulls out, and I didn't know she was sitting on this gold mine from Google at the time. No, no, I hadn't told you yet. But I didn't know that she had this internal passion and hate and angst against turning right. And she looks at me and goes, fuck this, fuck that. I fucking hate turning right. It's a left.
Starting point is 00:25:45 She goes, oh, thanks, man. And Ryan goes, Ryan goes, well, that's good because you're turning left. I went, oh, my God, so true. Ah! That genuinely happened. Yeah. I know I wasn't. I fucking hate right.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Well, we're turning left. So I actually think I went, oh, I really hate turning right. Like I felt it in my tummy. I was like, I don't like this. And Ryan was like, well, lucky you're not. And I was like, oh my God. Speaking of felt it in my tummy, why will we stop to the McDonald's? So that Ryan could shoot his pants.
Starting point is 00:26:13 I needed to pee. Yeah. So do you remember what happened when I got in the car when we left here to go into town? You put your belt on in the car? Because I was just wearing like baggy pants in the office. But I'm like, oh, if I'm going to be out and about walking, I'm going to need a belt. And so for some reason, I kind of was like shimmying in the, passenger seat of your car.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Just like putting the belt through the belt loops, but I didn't like do it up at the front. And then I was like, hey, can you stop because I need a pee? And then I'll like, I'll just nip in, do a pee. And then we'll be on our way. Someone was standing by the door in the toilet. It's like a McDonald slash service station on Hoddle Street. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:51 And they've seen me jump out of an Audi. An Audi. With my belt undone, like running to the toilet. And they've just gone, oh, no, you go. I came back and I was like, do I have a story? Oh. So they've seen me running with my belt undone towards the toilet. And they were like waiting to go.
Starting point is 00:27:13 And they just went, oh, this guy. Got you. No, no, you go. And I went, oh, I was just because I got in the car and the, uh, thank you. Yeah, you've got, yeah. Because imagine being like, I was putting my belt on in the car. Yeah. And then he goes first and then I shit myself.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Yeah. Yeah. I thought it was just a way. It was. Your story's changing. Yeah, I'm stressed. I need to go. I need to go.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I need to go. I'll pull over. So when did he say we can have this out? No turning right. No, well, it was just that like if we got enough attention to this issue. And we will. And we will. That then it would be something that they could probably bring up in like a product meeting.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Do you reckon they'll call it the lodge? Like it's lodge mode? Oh my God. I really hope so. Like if it's your idea, you get to name it. I really hope so. That's totally fair, right? The Lodge method.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Is there something called the Lodge method? I don't know. It feels like it should. I mean, the something method is like a common... Yeah, but Charles, Google the Lodge method. Oh, it's probably going to go to fucking Urban Dictionary. It's going to be like... Is seasoning cast iron involves applying a very thin layer of oil to clean cookware?
Starting point is 00:28:24 Well, because Lodge is a famous brand of skillets. Like Lodge cast. iron is like a really... I hadn't heard the word skillet until Jack Harlow did that song. What? Something, something, skillet's baby.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Okay. Great. Do you know the song I'm talking about, Charles? Yeah, it's loving on me. And he actually says skill a baby, not skillet. But Google knew what you were talking about. And that's the first time I heard that word.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Oh yeah, that sounds like a thing. How would you not have heard the word skillet? When was that, do we say skillet in Australia? Well, yeah, because it's a different type of... Like pan? Yeah. I would say pan. But it's a different type of pan normally.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Like it's a cast iron you would refer to as a skillet. I've used those. Is that a skillet? Yeah. Like Bridget has, like... Yeah. And also you hear it on like YouTube videos a lot. Like, because it's a lot of like American creators.
Starting point is 00:29:28 And they will say like, put that in the stuff. scallet or whatever. It feels like a weird word though, eh? Skillet. Yeah. Feels a bit like what, if there was a scientific name for de-scaling a fish. I was just about to say that. You fucking weren't.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Yeah, because I was like, it feels like scaling a fish. So, what do you get that fish? You got a skillet. Yeah. That's amazing. That's amazing. I can't believe we both thought of that and we're both never going to turn right again. on behalf of society
