Why is Kara's nickname Hairy Muff?
Kara is a hairdresser, dropped her midday muffin in all the hair and went,
Oh, I've got a hairy muff.
Hi, I'm Sarah from Shepard in Australia.
Hi, I'm Amber from St. Albert, Canada.
Hi, I'm Ian from Bracknell in the UK.
And I approve this podcast.
Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast.
This is Dr. Author, bestselling, doctor.
to author now on tour Tony Lodge.
Turing artist.
Tickets available Tony and Ryan.com.com.
I go through hell on tour.
I go through hell touring.
Sorry, that's a Tristan card you think.
Why don't you go to the Ampox?
For the last few weeks,
people have been sending in their stories and complaints
about people forcing us to give five-star reviews.
In solidarity with me.
Because you had a guy come to clean your carpet.
He was like, give me a five-star review.
you're like, why don't you clean the fucking carpet first?
Then we'll decide.
Breaking news, which it seems really obvious, but I didn't realize this was the case.
Shane.
Hi, Shane.
The edit button is your friend.
I give them five, show them, they leave, and then I edit the review to a one and say,
they're a dick and made me give them a five-star review.
But like, they just light them up because you can edit it later.
So if anyone's putting it as a pre-
I didn't know that you could edit it.
Neither did I.
Power Puff Forever.
That's their YouTube name.
Or maybe it's a legal name.
Who am I to judge?
I just delete the review as soon as I, like I give them five stars because that's what
they wanted.
And then I just delete it.
And then if they were a real dick about it, then I add another one saying two stars.
They sucked.
Or if it is great, like, oh, it was good service.
I think it's hard though to eliminate the ick after someone has bailed you up in your home
and being like, oh, like I could be a manager if you give me.
I'm like, what the fuck, dude?
So I keep thinking about that restaurant that's like,
if you give us a five-star review, you get free dessert.
And then everyone gets duped.
And then they go, oh, but yeah, I guess I'll get the free dessert and do it.
Then you leave and you change it to two and go, hey, everyone,
their own five-star reviews are for a free dessert.
We're bright.
So if you want a free dessert, by all means, go and get it.
But it's probably a three-and-a-half-star restaurant,
do with this information where you will.
Yeah.
But I didn't realize deleting and editing was very easy because a lot of people have like,
you don't really realize until you get put in this situation.
I didn't, yeah, I didn't know you could either.
Because you go, yeah, mate, I'll give you your five. Here it is.
Good. And then you go, and then I'll give the truth later.
And because they ask you to show them.
That was, I know that it sounds like so dramatic, but it was quite intimidating because
I was like, oh, like, okay, sorry.
Yeah.
And then I'm like, oh, well, I was going to pay you money.
That's the exchange of service.
Because do you know what gets me a little bit as well?
Sorry, this is kind of a tangent, but I think you'll know what I mean.
Is that like, if I've paid for something,
I'm like
we are one for one
Yeah
And you get money
I get the service
And like
With some things
That I've like
Bought or done or whatever
And then maybe they don't know
That I have an Instagram account
Such as my
Instagram account
Then they go
Oh like tag us and do all this
And I'm like I paid for it
Like I'm not that I'm not happy
To share stuff that I love
or that whatever, but I'm like, oh, you're asking me, like.
I paid for it.
The exchange was money for thing.
Like, do you know what I mean?
So true.
And it just really, it's the same with the review that I'm like, oh, I'm paying for the thing.
So do you not tag Audi?
Oh, I pay, like, I pay for my.
No, but if they said like, oh, you should share that you love your car,
I'd be like, well, I do love my car.
Then you charge one.
I talk to, I talk to, I talk to people about.
or if they go, oh, do you like, I go, yeah, I've had a great experience.
But like, fuck off.
The payment is that I've given you human money.
That's where I'm torn about the free dessert because you are giving something.
They're giving you free dessert.
Yeah.
And then you're giving them a review.
Yeah.
That is an exchange.
The exchange.
Yeah.
But like, so you're giving their money for the dinner that you've gone for and the review.
They're getting two things.
Yeah, but you're getting a free dessert.
Yeah.
Like, if we're talking about exchange, they both get something.
Yeah.
You want a good review?
I want some dessert.
Shake hands.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's because people sharing stuff on Instagram even, you know,
and not sponsored just good.
I'm like, well, but is it?
Like, sure, but is it?
Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to Tony Lodge,
the nickname Whisperer.
Lieutenant Lodge.
Lieutenant Lodge.
Now, people have sent through their nicknames.
and you're going to guess why they're called that.
So I need you to channel that energy.
Okay.
Oh, Rob, I got it.
That's a nickname.
Do you think Charles needs a nickname?
Charles feels so formal.
We were talking about this the other day, Charles.
It just feels too formal.
We talked about when you started working here because you're like, you're not a Charlie.
What do you like Charlie?
I, as like a kid, I didn't like Charlie, but like now I don't.
really mind either way. You're not a Charlie though, I don't think. Remember when that guy came and
he called you Charlie, you didn't like that. No, I just like, it was very out of place. Yeah.
And you're also not a Chuck. Nah, and I hate Chuck. Yeah. Oh, I didn't even think about that.
But yeah, because like Chuck from Gossip Girl, he's a Charles.
Charles to Char to Char to Char Char Bing. Well, my nickname, like, not nickname, but my cousins used to
call me Char Char Char, because they couldn't like say Charles. Yeah. I like Chi-Chi.
Yeah. Do you like, like,
Chi Chi Chi? Oh, okay.
We could bring Chi Chi back in.
Okay, I'll let them know.
Why is Haley's nickname T-Rex?
Um, okay.
Um, huge fan of the Jurassic Park movies.
Saw it when it came out in 1996.
That was first person in the line.
Um, and is probably short.
I have short arms and a short temper.
That is very accurate.
Nothing to do with the film.
Why is Kara's nickname Hairy Muff?
Kara is the Christian name?
Okay, well, Harry Muff immediately I think like Fanny Puss,
Hairy Muff, like that's what I think.
But then I'm like, oh, okay, Kara is a hairdresser.
and one day was supposed to sweep up all the hair,
but was like, you know what,
I'll have my morning tea first,
dropped her midday muffin in all the hair and went,
oh, I've got a hairy mouth.
And everyone went,
my full name is Kara Mary Huff.
Swap a few letters and it becomes Kara hairy muff.
Clearly my parents didn't think that one through.
Her parents are not the same parents of Mary Cat and Ashley that we were discussing yesterday.
What an amazing way to name a kid.
Kara Mary Huff.
Fuck, that is a mouthful, eh?
I think I like mine better.
Same.
Why is Keith's nickname GONADS?
Oh, because it's not Keith.
I would rather be called GONAD than Keith.
Well, Keith's a tough and he loves you in the show.
Is Keith Andringer?
Do you have the full name?
Possibly, yeah.
Because that Keith is great.
And I talked to him all the people.
time. Okay. Why is it
Gones? Do you know what he does for a job? Oh, is that
going to give it away? Not give it away,
but it's like that's related. But just in your chats in the
DMs, does that ever come up or no?
No, I don't think I know. But why is Keith's
nickname GONADS? Go Nads. Um, you know,
Nads like the, the hair removal stuff you can buy? Yeah. Um,
someone wants, he worked at Coles. That's what he does. I forgot that for a
second, but he works at Coles.
and somebody said, oh, should I go the nads or the nair?
And he went, go nats.
And someone went, that sounds like go nads.
And now that's, oh, my God.
First of all, the people at Nads should use that kind of energy in the advertising.
Go nads.
How'd you get rid of that?
Go nads.
Geez, you've got a smooth asshole, right?
And how'd you do that?
Go nads.
Yeah.
Every time.
Everyone's had a go nads.
I go at nads.
And it's not fun.
I go out.
Did you ever do the Nads?
What?
The hair removal.
Yeah, the cream.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's fucked day.
Yeah.
It's like a canon event.
Like a teenager.
Everyone does it once and goes, well, I'm obviously not going to do that again.
And those hair removal creams stink.
They stink.
The smell of them like makes me feel sick.
Yeah.
Because it like dissolves it, I guess.
But like, I'm sorry.
If something that comes out of a can can dissolve hair,
what else is it capable of?
Like,
like, that's not okay.
Yeah,
like that is otherworldly.
That is against God.
And I don't like that.
As a Christian woman,
I don't like that.
If the Lord can lead you to it,
he can lead you through it.
We've mentioned religion two times in three days,
which would probably also be two times in 1,400 episodes.
No,
we've talked about it before.
Have we?
How close we are to the Lord?
Yes.
And also with you.
Why is Keith's nickname Go Nads?
It's what I said.
I'm a biologist, but my bods...
But my balls?
I've got balls on the mind.
Guess where I use the Nads.
Go Nads.
I'm a biologist, but my boss has bad eyes and isn't good at measuring the genitals of the birds or the bats.
So I have to do it all the time.
And because I do it all the time, the whole team now calls me Go Nads.
What a nerdy nickname to have.
Or Nads for short.
Yeah, I mean, it was that or like when he was seven got kicked in the balls at footy and yeah.
Yeah.
Why is Tara's nickname Sherper?
Sherper.
Like the type of denim jacket?
No, but if I tell you.
Google that, Charles, Sherper denim jacket.
You know how there's like a Sherper denim jacket?
denim jacket. But is it meant to be like a denim jacket for Sherpers? Like it's the ones with like
the little, um, um, horse hair. No, sheepskin on it. Uh, not the Sherper I was referring to.
Okay. So Tara always wears that denim jacket has had the same one since she was 15,
bought it from Cotton On and it's still going strong. Um, and, oh, Sherps. And back in the day when
Austin Powers came out.
Everyone was like, Tatar,
I would like to buy some orange Sherpert.
These are really creative and fun.
I'm good at this.
I'm not good at guessing what the real name is.
No, because you're none from four.
Oh, okay.
Before we start to record, just for everyone,
peek behind the sense,
Brian goes, if you don't get it, they're not wrong.
And oh, none from four.
Oh, no, I said, they're hard.
You're not going to get them right.
I didn't say you're not wrong.
You're definitely wrong.
But just not to take that on, which you're now doing.
Which is the one thing I told you not to do.
Yeah, gillows Sherps.
Tara is called Sherper.
I'm the mum friend who carries other people's bags and makes sure they've had enough water.
Oh, I don't know what that means.
It was clear when you started talking about a jacket that you don't know what a Sherper is, which would be...
That's the jacket.
That's Sherper jacket.
Very important.
Can you just type in Sherper?
Oh, an experienced guide helping others on a mountain climbing.
expedition. Oh. You know when you climb Mount Everest and you go with the Sherpers? No.
Look at me. Do I have the body type of someone that knows the intricacies of climbing Mount Everest?
No. Kick us out while she's down.
I think we would be a great example. What? Of?
No, it's not important. No, say.
we don't look like people who have just climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
No.
We look like people who might in the future.
1,000%.
Yeah.
They, we look like people.
We are the before big.
Yeah.
But also, no shape.
Because yeah, I look like someone who though would say one day I'll do that.
Maybe that's one thing.
But I look like something that, someone that would say that.
Yeah, maybe.
So we've been watching a lot of Casey Nystatt.
And there was a video about like his one thing was like getting under three hours
in a marathon.
And I said to Tony, what's your one thing?
And we just like were yarning backwards and forwards about what it could be.
Maybe on a walking over rocks and your ankles aren't built for that.
No, that is very true.
But maybe that's why it's a challenge.
Yeah, true.
I just don't really.
Can you imagine breaking your foot on the top of a fucking mountain and the sherpers have to
carry you back down.
Well, yeah.
And someone has to get you back down.
Or you just like, walk on your bum and just slide back down.
Like how does that work?
To bogging down.
That's so funny.
And then everyone calls.
me toby because I tobogging down the mountain.
Hey, to bugs.
Yeah.
One bog or two bucks?
Why is Kylie's nickname, bitch?
Um, because she had a drug problem, went to rehab and then came back and people like,
just like Elton John, the bitch is back.
Um, and because her name is Kylie, so like another icon like Kylie Monogue, I think that
people will like the bitchies back like Elton John and that's why Kylie's called bitch
Kylie says because I am in fact a bitch I probably could have gotten that one
yeah all of them all right well if that one was like kind of obvious let's just embrace that
lock in obvious Adams does what it says on the tin like lock in okay why is Caitlin's nickname
Tanker tits.
Because she was sneaking out one night when she was a teenager and had to, like, was trying to get out and then was like, oh my God,
mom and dad are going to hear me.
I've got to get back in, but ended up in like the playroom.
And her little brother had like a Thomas the Tang Kensington little like fold out couch.
And she had to wrap that around herself so that her parents didn't find her.
naked.
She was naked outside.
Yeah, she was naked.
Yeah.
And so a tanker tits is like,
Thomas the tank engine tits.
Caitlin says it's because I have tanker tits.
What a tanker tits?
Don't know and I was too scared to Google it.
Should we Google it?
A woman who has larger than average breast.
Nice looking for him.
Not too big,
but enough to catch your eyes.
Damn, that girl's got some tanker tits on her.
Oh yeah, for sure.
Oh my God.
Also, for people who are listening and not watching,
Tony's reading that off Urban Dictionary.
She's not just saying those words.
Yeah, sorry.
Like, damn, girl.
Oh, Charles, that's so embarrassing.
At the bottom, it shows you things that you've searched
and you've looked for a six, seven mug.
Oh.
We're not calling you cheat.
We're calling you fucking loser.
Hi, I'm Ian from Bracknell in the UK.
I'm Amber from St. Albert, Canada.
Hi, I'm Samara from Shepard in Australia.
and you're listening to Tony and Ryan.
A massive shout-out and a big hello, a big hug and kiss
to a few of our champion tarpers over at our Patreon.
Ryan's just done a beautiful little hug gesture, which is lovely.
That was for all of us.
Yeah, that's lovely.
You know what?
People will have felt that hug around the world.
And someone probably really needed that today.
That's really beautiful.
You're welcome.
I'm here to hug.
Good on your sous, one of our champion tarpers.
Morgan Clark, thanks Morgan.
I'm sorry, I just burped.
I ate a red ripper before.
You know, those are like real hard,
and that's just eating my teeth.
And I've just, yeah, rip me fucking flange off.
Do you need to take a deep?
Do you need a hug?
Maybe.
Yeah.
You stay right there.
You stay right there.
I'll come to you.
Oh, that's actually really,
that's actually really nice.
Love you?
Do you just say love you?
That's really nice.
And like at Disneyland,
you can't let go until I let go.
I start a Disneyland thing.
At Disneyland they don't let go of the kids until they're ready to let go, which is so sweet.
Yeah.
Okay, one of them is ready.
Oh.
See, you do something nice and then you're a little bit.
Assan Maharali, thank you, Asan.
Mallory Seward, good on you, Mallory, Nicholas Stock, Haley Dawson.
Sounds a bit like Harley Davidson.
Town bike.
Everyone's how to ride on Haley.
Who's the Dawson I know?
Titanic.
Jack Dawson.
Natalie Palmer
Harley Noah
Candice M, God on your Candace
and Stephanie Lee
Thanks Steph
Absolutely fucking love to see it
Thanks for keeping the fucking lights on
Thank you
A huge thank you to everybody
That's bought a ticket
To come and see us
Later in the year early next year
Yep
Love to see it
Love to see that
Thank you so much
I
I'm living with
Oprah at the moment
Oprah
My daughter Mabel
Beyonce
Oprah
Yeah
She's three and
and a half years old, Mabel, and she's an inspiration to all of us.
She's four years old.
She's four.
If anyone asks in Fiji at the kids club, she's four years old.
She's four.
I'm living with a four-year-old Oprah who's just dropping bombs of wisdom.
Really?
Yeah, she's very inspiring.
And she loves to read, same as Oprah.
Loves to read.
Loves a lot of things that Oprah loves.
Loves jumping on couches.
Oh, and that was Tom Cruise.
Yeah.
On Oprah.
On Oprah.
Yeah, yeah.
So one thing that we're working on at the moment is that, like,
if we do something and we can't do it, we like, we try again.
Yep.
Like we're trying to build like resilience and like, we don't want to be like,
oh, it didn't work.
And like tantra.
You know, like, no, like, if we practice, we get better and she's getting very good at
her ballet.
Yes.
And at dance class, she's got a good pointing toe.
We've been told.
That's huge.
And we've been doing lots of ballet at home because we do the Wiggles Ballet.
We got her a bar.
Little bar.
And we do MMM a ballet.
Well, the other day I was on the phone to Ryan.
And he said, do you want to say hi to Aunt Toddy.
And she said, no, I'm dancing.
She's practicing.
And you can actually, because you can see her getting better.
Like, girlfriend, like you're getting so much better because you keep practicing.
I'm really trying to build that in.
Yeah.
And so yesterday, Mabel and I went to Tony's least favorite place in the world with the hardest place to park in, which is.
Doncaster.
Before you mentioned the parking, I thought maybe it was Nando's.
No.
I think they have a Nando's at Doncasto.
And that just made you a toes cow.
The fucking third circle of hell.
Yeah.
Thanks, Charles.
Thanks, huge laugh.
And I really appreciated it.
So there's a little playground out the front of Big W at the Westfield.
Oh.
And for those who know that one in Doncaster,
anytime you walk past that playground,
I want you to know that I, Ryan,
have gone down that slide face first and hit my face on the bottom.
Because it's not one of those ones where you land on your feet.
The slide goes to the ground.
Yeah.
Like it takes you low.
Right.
If you were going face first, is that your own, is that operator error?
Oh, it's 100% operator.
Oh, she's like, I thought you were like, oh, and it's because the slide.
I'm like, well, it sounds like you went forward.
No, but I thought I would just slide down and just like push up or whatever.
But it's actually like a really slippery slide.
He doesn't have like the height on the bottom.
Oh, no, but you just fly.
Like you get, and anyway, so Mabel has been.
Is that right next to the Lego store?
Like the Lego store is on that corner.
Oh, you tested me maybe.
I don't know.
I reckon it is.
Sorry.
Well, it's like a kid's kind of area, so probably.
Yeah.
Um, and Mabel saw these other kids going backwards.
Oh no.
Um, and going forwards.
And then she climbing up to the top bit on the ladder and also climbing back down by
herself because sometimes she was good at climbing, but then couldn't get down.
Oh, yep.
And then so she went down backwards by herself.
And I was like, this is amazing.
And then she climbed up and I was like, oh, cool, we're climbing off the top.
Like, let me know when you want me to get you and we'll come down.
And she goes.
goes, no, I'm going to try.
Oh.
And she, she stuffed it up a few times and needed my help.
And then she went back up and she did it again.
And then you climb up.
Well, she climbs up into this tower bit.
And then it's hard because you've got to like climb back down the ladder.
And you can't like see behind you and stuff.
It's kind of like a lot.
So you're going to do you turn around or you forward?
Yeah.
Got you.
Um, so anyway, she does it and she's amazing.
And then we get home last night.
And at dinner every night, we do what's our favorite thing from today?
and we go around the table.
And this is Mabel saying her favorite thing.
We're going to have a listen.
The top and getting down by myself.
And how did you get down by yourself?
I just tried and I tried and I got it.
Nice one.
Got to keep trying until you get it.
Yeah.
Keep trying.
And did you slide down the slide and go through dad's legs?
Yeah.
Wow, that's so fun.
It was dangerous.
Dad nearly lost a testicle.
What's a testable?
Testable.
It's a private part on a man's body.
Daddy's private parts.
That's private.
So that was our chat around the dinner table last night.
What's a textable?
What's a textable?
And what is a textible?
That's what I want to know.
It's so true.
Because she was being, like, she was like, because mom's like, oh, I didn't know you know how to do that.
And she was like, because you try and you try again.
And if it doesn't work, you try again.
And it was just like a.
really nice moment until we started talking about testables. Well, you, in fairness, you're the one
that brought up the textable trying to do comedy. Well, you know how I said the slide goes to the
floor? Yeah. It means dad can stand at the bottom and she can go through my legs. And it's so much
fun if you don't have low hanging testables. Low hanging fruit as it were. Um, so yeah, it's a very
inspiring and very dangerous day.
That is really beautiful though.
And even when she says, like, I just kept trying and I got it.
Isn't she the best?
It's so fucking cute.
I mean, let's just hear that.
Let's just start of that.
The top and getting down by myself.
And how did you get down by yourself?
I just tried and I tried and I got it.
I just tried and I tried and I got it.
Also, as if she can, I know that she's four, but she's three and a half.
Like, as if she can talk like that.
Yeah.
she's better than you
she's like it's crazy
she's ahead of the curve
she's ahead of the curve she's ahead of the curve
she's ahead of the curve it's because
her godmother is an author
she gets the English language
the other night because I've been going in a little bit
at night because I'm to like hold her hand
and there's a few like shadows and stuff in the
yeah she's had a bit of a cafe
yeah and so I'll go in there and then
I was chatting with her a bit and then
I'm like hey like dad's gonna go back to his bed
but you just stay in here sweetie
Like there's no man.
Dad's checked under the bed in the cupboard.
It's like, it's going to be all good.
And I love you.
And she goes, love you too.
And then I get to the door.
And she goes, oh.
And I went, what is it, sweetie?
And she goes, fist bump at 3.30 in the morning.
She's not scared.
Yeah, she knows what she does.
She could take anyone down.
So then we both went, pshh.
That is so funny.
She's like, no, one more thing.
Like, yeah.
I was like, what is it?
Did you?
Yeah.
You got a cough, you need some water.
Yeah.
Like, have you lost your dummy?
And for most kids, it would be like, no, I need some more water or I need, you know.
But also, because I'd been there a while.
She's like, Dad.
And I was like, oh, like, I thought I'd got out.
Yeah.
Fist bump.
That is so fucking sweet.
Yeah.
And then I get back to bed and bridge like, oh, she's all right.
What'd she want?
And I was like, just a fist bump.
Just a fist bump.
Yeah, she'd woken up and she's like, I'm desperately low on coolness.
Critically low levels of coolness.
That's really sweet.
I've got to you love to see it here from Georgia Reese.
Also a huge success in the family from Georgia.
Yep.
Says, my partner and I have just gotten in the car for a long drive to an appointment.
He asked me to put on some music.
And as I was about to hit play, he says, oh, actually, actually,
could we listen to Tony and Ryan instead?
Then get a fist bump.
Georgia said, all on his own, I feel so proud.
Fuck yeah.
I love to see that.
Isn't that so sweet?
So here's a technological hack that I'm going to tell you as my love to see it.
Settle in.
I reckon Charles is going to go, you're a fucking idiot.
And probably both of you because this is something I've always done.
And there's probably just like a hell easier way to do it.
But I've just done it so many times.
Okay.
So if I'm uploading something or downloading something that's going to like take a while.
Yeah.
You know how like your screensaver might kick in and it like sometimes fucks up what you're trying to do?
Or if your computer goes to sleep at like, yeah.
Yeah. So what do you do in that situation?
I just like shake my mouse or...
Because if I'm not using the computer.
Oh, I see. Sorry, I see what you mean.
Oh, I would probably, like, because I'm neurotic.
I probably would just keep watching it until it was going to be done.
Yeah, okay, that's fucking crazy.
So...
Yeah, like I would just go, oh, I better just keep an eye on it.
So I always type in 10 hours of fire into your...
YouTube.
Oh.
And it's a 10-hour video.
Yes, I've seen the video, yeah.
Yeah, it's just a crackling fire.
And I think some people might put it on their TV like.
At Christmas and night or whatever.
And it goes for 10 hours.
And my thinking was like, oh, the computer thinks I'm watching a video.
So it's not going to.
Does that do that though?
Does a video playing keep the computer away?
If that tabs open.
Oh.
But like if you close it out.
That actually is a great hack, I think.
Is that a great hack?
Yeah.
What would you do, Charles?
Well, I just have it so my computer doesn't turn it off.
Yeah.
Oh.
Well, not all of us can afford continuous power.
Yeah, sorry.
So some of us have families.
We're old school.
Lighten the fire.
But anyway, so I've like probably clocked up a lot of hours on this video.
Yeah.
And there's probably heaps of them, whatever.
In 2020.
And so then, so I know of this video, right?
Yeah.
I think everybody's probably clicked on at one stage.
Let me read you a story.
Oh, please.
Should we put the fire crackling on?
I was settling it.
Yeah, pop it on.
Pop it on.
This is going to make us all shit and just think, wow.
What a wonderful review.
Oh, here we go.
Oh, cozy.
It does make you feel warm.
Yeah.
Can we turn that big light off?
Or is that going to fuck that up?
I don't think that then people will be able to see us.
Oh, but these ones can say on.
Oh, that one.
Oh, yeah.
Oh.
I like that.
Okay.
Can we do this from now on?
Charles, it's really relaxing.
In 2016,
the YouTube channel called
Fireplace 10 Hours
uploaded a sink,
stay with me here.
Oh, so, so.
It's like really putting me to sleep.
I'm really relaxed.
This is why we can't do it all the time.
Yeah.
In 2016, a YouTube channel called
simply Fireplace 10 hours
uploaded a single video
video, 10 hours of burning logs and crackling fireplace sounds.
Nearly a decade later, this channel still only has the one video.
Yeah.
It has surpassed 161 million views and has earned over $1.24 million.
Because YouTube goes on watchtime and whatever and think about how many, like people aren't watching it for 20 seconds.
Yeah, they're like putting it on their TV for the night or whatever.
Yeah.
And he's made it on watchtime.
1.248 million dollars from this one video.
In the like the whole time the video's been up.
Get it.
No expenses.
No whatever.
Fucking get it.
That's awesome.
So this story comes and I was just like,
don't you fucking love to see that?
Yeah.
And then the top comment on this news story was like,
sometimes I think I just overcomplicate things.
Yeah.
We're trying to do this and we're strategizing that.
And some motherfucker uploads one video 10.
years ago and as a house.
But also how clever.
Yeah.
To think like, oh, people would like that.
Is there just, is, just anything else happened?
No.
Sometimes logs fall, like throughout it.
Oh, that's really satisfying.
Oh, is it?
It's a, like, it's a, someone set up a camera and done this for real.
Oh, it's beautiful quality.
Can you scrub through?
I want to say some wood move.
Oh, I'll make you a wood move.
Okay.
No, not time for jokes.
Oh, there must be at one there.
because there's most replayed.
No, that hasn't moved.
Maybe this isn't the official.
Oh, okay.
This is just like, oh.
It's got 164 million views, though.
Oh.
Oh, you're making me so sleepy.
Should we get a hot chocolate and some chips from the fish and chip shop?
Just call it a day.
If you want me to get no work done for the rest of the day, then yes.
I can't find the official one, but there's, the official one, like, is for real.
$1.24 million is fucking car.
Yeah, US too for those playing.
Whoa.
Which means that's $10 billion Australia.
I was going to say, yeah, that's three houses in Australia.
Congratulations.
All right, have a great day, everyone.
Love you so much.
And just whatever you're doing today, just try.
And try and try again.
Just try.
Give it a shot.
Yeah.
And when in doubt, take care of your testicles.
Testibles.
Testables.
Testables.
Love you.
Bye.
Bye.
