Starting point is 00:00:00 I felt like that was us on the screen. Yeah. That was our hearts out there. We both accepted. We're probably not going to win. But there's just that last few minutes we go, fuck, they've given us hope. And sometimes it's the belief that actually really killed her. Hi, I'm Christy from Indianapolis, USA.
Starting point is 00:00:17 I'm Corinne from Chicago, Illinois. Hi, I'm Jennifer from Canberra, Australia. And I agree this podcast. Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast. Hi, everyone. We are recording this. 60 seconds after Hawthorne lost and did not get into the grand final in what was a fucking crazy game.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Incredible. We were winning with 20 seconds to go. I would maybe say if you've never listened before, this is maybe not a great one to start on. It's the best one to start on because this is the podcast about football analysis and how to close out a game with two minutes to go. what I will say is at three quarter time I feel like we both accepted
Starting point is 00:01:12 we're probably not going to win yeah you're like should we chuck some more sausages on and sometimes it's the belief that actually really killed well it was the comeback of the century and I think what it is is it's like you feel not I don't think embarrassed is the right word
Starting point is 00:01:29 but you let yourself believe like I'm literally punching in a phone number of someone I met from Toyota the other day I'm like, we're going to need these tickets, you know? And then... I think we had it checked it and go, oh, we had a good year. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:44 But there's just that last few minutes, we go, fuck, they've given us hope. And not even, it was like the last 20 seconds of the game. Motherfucking. Mitch Lewis, how good was that grab?
Starting point is 00:01:55 Let's make a real of when Mitch Lewis took that last grab because we nearly hit the fucking roof in your house. And Pipa nearly flew off this couch like she never has before. They're also, I don't know if this is going to... Because you will all. already seeing this, but because this is real time. We also told Torbs to
Starting point is 00:02:10 fuck off and get fucked at one point. No, yeah. Sorry. We didn't. We didn't. Oh, you did too. Check the tape. Can we check the... The tape literally is he said, does anyone want any corn? And I said, fuck. And I said, fuck off. And so did you.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I think we won't know the answer, but Charles, in post, put that moment here. Is everyone on a corn? Shut the fuck up. Ask me in three minutes and seven. second seconds. Sorry, love you.
Starting point is 00:02:38 You do say shut the fuck up. Ask me in three minutes. No, it was murmured there. Played again. We're really scared. Is it wrong on a corn? Shut the fuck up. Ask me in three minutes and seven seconds.
Starting point is 00:02:50 You do say shut the fuck up. I was supporting you. You say shut the fuck up. I was supporting you. Well, a minute ago he didn't say it all. Hey, you know what? We don't need to turn on each other. What I will say, though, is that none of us have eaten corn or the sausages and Torbs is
Starting point is 00:03:03 in his room at the other end of the house. Very sheepish. He's hiding. Well, because as soon as the game was overtook, dinner's ready, and we were like, let's record the podcast. So that's all right. So here was the state of play. Next weekend is the Australian Football League grand final.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Which is kind of like the Super Bowl for the NRL fans out there. Look who's showing off. Who knows what a Super Bowl is. Now, if my team, our team was in it, we were obviously going to like watch the game and really commit. Yes. And if we didn't, then we would have a long weekend free to redesign. decorate, paint and tile Tony's
Starting point is 00:03:38 bathroom. Now Tony, I'm asking, so you're allowed to be honest. No, and I would be because you're my best friend. Were you cheering because you wanted our hawks in the grand final or were you cheering because if our hawks are in the grand final, you didn't have to have us destroy your bathroom, which it seemed like you'd started to regret. Above all, I wanted our hawks to win.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Like, without a doubt, that is absolutely what I'm. I wanted because I wanted that for us. I also have never been to a grand final. Yep. Or had like really cared about a team that was in the grand final. And I felt like that was us on the screen. Yeah. That was our hearts out there playing one ball at the time.
Starting point is 00:04:23 And so that was my first thing. And then like you said, how we just got really, really swept up in thinking that we were in in those, that last quarter. Yep. And then it hit me that we've lost after that fucking shitty call. And I thought, fuck, that's really sad. And then I went, oh, the bathroom. So is it true?
Starting point is 00:04:53 So for anybody that doesn't know, we said, yeah, that we would tie up the bathroom in my house. Is it true that I said, like after we mentioned it on a show, afterwards, I was like, hey. Like, check with Torbs. like, you know. If you don't really want that. It's your house. And then you get home and Torbs goes, fine by me. Well, so.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And were you banking on Torbs saying no? So I said to Torbs, guess what the team said? You know how you're like, so bullity. Oh, Charles has this idea. And I was like, oh, yeah, some of the guys at school were doing this, but I, like, well, I didn't do it. I said to Torbs, you know how we've talked about redoing the bathroom. and you know how like a long weekend is a great time to go to bunnings. So true.
Starting point is 00:05:43 I was like, oh, we've said like if we, if we aren't in the grand final that like that's the activity we would do for the long weekend. And Torbs goes, oh yeah. And I went, oh. And he goes, you wanted me to say no. And I went, oh, no. And he went, you wanted me to say no. You wanted me to be the bad one. So you could be fun, Tony.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Yeah. Oh, not my fault. My husband said my... Yeah, oh, my husband, you know, and he's like the old ball and chain at home, whatever, balls and chain. Um, and then I was like,
Starting point is 00:06:18 it's not going to matter we're going to win. Yeah, so who cares either way? Bathroom safe. And even though I actually don't want to do the tiling the bathroom. I don't want that. Why not? There has also been another flying the oint. which was a new piece of information that we did not know when we were talking about this.
Starting point is 00:06:40 For the first time in 13 years, the Fremantle Dockers are in the grand final. It was to play against Tony's husband's team. So it was going to be the Torbber Lodge Cup for the grand final had we have won RIP. We're not talking about it. But the Fremantle dockers have just made it into the grand final. So they're going to play next week. A lot of people that Torbs and I, so Fremantle, they're in Perth. in Perth. Tobs and I, a lot of people that we haven't talked to in years have all of a sudden
Starting point is 00:07:10 come out of the woodwork and gone, God, you don't have a couch for me to sleep on. No, she doesn't. I don't. We don't have a couch, actually. Shame. But like, Torbs' mom is going to come over and watch because Freyo, like, their diehard Freo family. A couple of Tobs's mates are like, oh, you don't have a spare room or spare something going, do you? So we're actually going to have a pretty full house, I think, next week.
Starting point is 00:07:32 So depending on how you look at it, is it more hands on deck for the day? DIY or is it just becoming impossible to potentially do a big project like that with so many mouths to feed? So when there's six people staying over, I would say probably the least ideal time to be down a bathroom. Down above. You're right. And so unfortunately, I was very keen on tiling the bathroom and now it's not going to be
Starting point is 00:07:58 possible. Great idea from you. Hey, you're welcome to stay. Can I put you down for two square meters of tiling? Yeah. Yeah. What do you like with chip rock? Torbs' mum?
Starting point is 00:08:07 Two square metres of tiling. I'm good for two square metres of tiling. Yeah. Who are the other ringings that have fucking called through? Piggity said that he wants a place to stay, which is fine. He's good for a waterproofing. Yeah. And I've heard from a couple other people like, no, wouldn't it be funny if, um, you know?
Starting point is 00:08:21 If I got on a roller and painted that roof. Yeah. It actually fucking would be. A couple of dot dot dot messages. Oh, wouldn't that be wild? Now, Friday is a public holiday in Melbourne. Yeah. Because we have to prepare for the game on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Yeah, there's a big festival, but it's kind of like, people don't really go. Yeah, they do. Do they? You're like, we don't go. But like lots of people go. No, well, Lil said she, legal Lil said she went a couple of years ago and she was like, it was like a bit random. Was it during COVID? Oh, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:51 My throat is fucked from yelling truly. Same. Here's what I'm saying. If we get cracking at 8 a.m. Monday, Friday on public holiday. Yeah. The game starts at 2 p.m. Saturday. Yep. Obviously by midday we want to start having a drink or two
Starting point is 00:09:09 and like making our way to the game or like getting a screen set up. Yep. I reckon we could pretty much be done the bathroom by midday Saturday if we really locked in. Agreed. Teach us. In fact.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Oh no. I almost got crazy. Nah, say it. I almost got crazy. We could get cracking on both. What's the other one? Let out of the bathroom. Oh.
Starting point is 00:09:35 How many bathrooms are doing? Are we doing multiple bathrooms? Well, that's what I thought you were going to say. Guys, do we have to tell my bathroom? I'm feeling so stressed. Now, normally there's a big build-up, and I'm going to regret. I've actually already regretted this.
Starting point is 00:09:50 But we are good at going live for 24 hours. We are good at locking the fuck in and getting something done. Now, I don't know about the logistics of streaming. I don't know about the logistics of anything But I do know that staying awake And performing craft at skill levels Is our strength Well the last craft live stream we did
Starting point is 00:10:16 I mean It was two days ago and Tony and I barely survived It wasn't good You try and mix paint with your best friend And let me know how you go Yeah, nah, nah Technically it is possible though Tony's upgraded her internet recently
Starting point is 00:10:29 So like yeah it's good to go I've just got a call the internet's down next week. Run me through. Okay. Should we take people into the bathroom to run them through it? It's just down the hallway. So talk to me.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Is it a painting job or a tiling job? Oh, are we just doing a fucking get Scotty Cam on the line from the block? Well, I would trust him to do it. That's the thing. Great. Get him in. I just think. Who do we know who's been on the block?
Starting point is 00:11:03 One of. Alyssa and Lysandra Tras No, they're very busy there on Who were the brothers? The Tiling brothers The Tiling brothers from the block The Mascito brothers Bro, they'll knock it over in half a day Okay, so this is really changed
Starting point is 00:11:19 Because Oh, I have to get a free beautiful bathroom My life so hard No, but I just, okay You are so good Thank you, let's do it At committing to stuff I already know where this is going
Starting point is 00:11:35 And I already hate it and agree And you're really, really good at ideas You are great at ideas Thank you The execution, however Can't be good at everything For the Macito brothers If you
Starting point is 00:11:50 I just know that you aren't going to be here At 8 a.m. ready to tile the bathroom Correct, I'll be here at the night before Ready to fucking go You're going to sleep on the couch With George's mum Yeah, it'd be an honour. Oh, maybe.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Then I'll be your stepdad by the end of the bathroom renovation. My stepdad in law? You mean, he tells us, Dad, that's so funny. Oh, what a bowel move. That is so funny. Oh, yeah, I'm just working in a family business. Nepotism. I work with my husband's dad.
Starting point is 00:12:29 So run me through at the moment. gonna look shit you're gonna do a bad job you are and i know that charles was like oh can i be really good at it we're all gonna do a bad job and i'm gonna have to live with it and i don't want that i don't want that you know the other thing that i don't want we get started and then we get bored and then i've got half a fucking one wall tiled for the next five years because i can't be fixing it either one's better than none so there's currently all of it is done it's not that It's not like, I don't love it, but at least it's all done. Is it just, it's the tiles and the colour, right?
Starting point is 00:13:09 So in our onsuit. Well, hang, which, which room have we all assumed it was this whole time? I mean, you said onsuit in the beginning, didn't you? I assumed the bathroom the whole time. Oh, okay. Because whilst the... Because when I think bathroom in my house, the only bathroom I use is my own suite, so that's why. Well, maybe that's a free swing on the other one then, you know?
Starting point is 00:13:28 Because like, who fucking cares? And to be fair, whilst I know, the subway tiles aren't like the thing and your vibe at the moment at least it's something the other one is just really like it's quite old and like probably do in about seven days for a freshen up i'd say you're gonna fuck it up all we need to do is get one of those you know those bars with like a hook on the end to just like kachshund all the tiles off like a crowbar perfect great idea that is not what you would use for that job so you're you're your crowbar the tiles off Topar did you just say.
Starting point is 00:14:03 Yeah, I'm back in the highlights. And then... Toyota. And then we get new tiles from Bunnings, a beautiful colour. Colors, which we don't mix. For those of you in the Patreon live stream, colour theory and me making colours is not my strength. As was most of that day.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Then we get the new tiles. I was just trying to support Ryan with the colour mixing and he didn't like that. And then someone else supported him and then he liked that. And I didn't like that. Then we go. So there was just quite a lot going on. Then we get the glue going. And then we just stick the new cool tiles back on and we go to the footy.
Starting point is 00:14:41 What's the fucking big deal here? And then paint the top. I have, it sounds pretty fucking easy. I have a counter proposition. Disagree. Fuck me on the counter in the kitchen. I've been thinking about mosaiking our outdoor like next to the barbecue.
Starting point is 00:15:00 What if we mosaiced that's tiling still? but it's not my bathroom and it's outside. She's good guys. I tell you what. She knows my weakness is mosaic. She knows I'm a sucker for a mosaic. Because we could go to bunnings by heaps of cool tiles, right? Crack them all up.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Yeah. Then do a cool design out there with the mosaic. We could do a mosaic by the barbecue, then throw a low steak on the barbecue and call it a fucking Saturday. And then I'll fucking lick your low sack. Oh, sorry. Lo Snake! Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Oh, I was so close. Like the Hawks just before. Who can say where the road goes? It really is crueler to lose so, when it's so close, isn't it? It actually, because we'd come back around. I tasted it. I tasted it. I was in that box.
Starting point is 00:15:52 We didn't just get close. We got in front. We were there. Fuck. We were there. We were parking at the MCG. Do you know what I mean? Like, we were.
Starting point is 00:16:00 What is upsetting also is that that last free kick Jarman Impi is like my favorite player? and I'm like, fuck, bro, I'm really filled for you. Sorry. Because sometimes when it's a guy I don't like, you like, you can fuck cop that. Yeah. But, you know, I'm like, oh. Well, you just don't feel it as personally. I take that personally.
Starting point is 00:16:15 If Jars, I know that you don't watch this show, but I love you. You had it. You had it. Sorry about that. I love you. All right. We'll be right back. Hi, I'm Christy from Indianapolis. Hi, I'm Jennifer from Canber, Australia.
Starting point is 00:16:29 This is Corinne from Chicago, Illinois. And you're listening to Tony and Ryan. A massive shout out to a few of our champion Tappas who really have been there for us through the hardest time, which is us losing that game just then. Annalise, thanks Annalise. I really appreciate that. Darren Fancy.
Starting point is 00:16:54 Darren Fancy, a new bathroom? Darren Fancy a fucking trip to the grandfinal. Don't worry about it. We lost. Aaron Tattoo. Good on Aaron Tattoo. Ellie White. Kayla.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Good on Kayla. Melissa Thorn. Oh, I've got a fucking Marozen Thorne. The Thorn is fucking losing the game, isn't it? Kendra, Holly Noah, Drew Wellard, Caitlin Browning and Kristen Aaron Clement. Funny thing about Kristen is that last time we saw it was right next to the MCG where we won't be next week because we fucking lost football game.
Starting point is 00:17:20 Did we see her at the MCG? Yeah, Kristen, after the run. Yeah. Right next to the MCG. Not that we need to know anything about that. Fuck, if it just had to kick that fucking down the wing, we could have hold that up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:32 They just needed to hold them off for 20 more fucking seconds. We did really well those last couple of marks. Every time they came in, we fucking Cicely, barras, fucking good work, lads. It was crazy that like that fourth quarter looked like that after that third quarter is like something we'll never talk about ever again? No. And, well, I'm going to talk about it right now, but only as a learning experience. Sure. Well, this is a football show, so.
Starting point is 00:17:58 During the first half, we played really well and I was wearing a singlet. During the first half, Torbs was cooking wings. Oh, they were good. in the third quarter where we sucked I put a t-shirt on and torbs stopped cooking Ryan goes oh I'm calm then Tony's like bro I think it's the singlet you need to put your lucky singlet back on
Starting point is 00:18:19 so I put the singlet back on torbs goes let me put some snags on the barbecue that you have to be mosaic and then suddenly we start fucking getting it done and I'm like I don't know if it's just we we cook when we cook or we play well when I'm wearing the singlet and not a t-shirt
Starting point is 00:18:36 I like we cook when we cook. That's good. And we both laughed and we're like, oh no, we'll have to eat awesome food every time we play. Yeah. But I would like you to let us know on the episode thread in Facebook or on the comments on YouTube. If you've got like a pretty nonsensical superstition. Yes, that's good. Do you have to sit on the right side of the couch?
Starting point is 00:18:54 Do you have to do something specific? Because you best believe I ain't taking this singlet off when we play next time. Yeah, next year. Won't be for another year because we lost. We're not on the grand final. I would have worn this singlet to the grand final, and Charles would have hated that because he hates men in singlets.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Well, Charles did allow the footy jumper. I said the footy jumper today. And if, like, when football's on. Yeah, when football's on. Context of football. In Fiji. No. Because I would be wearing.
Starting point is 00:19:23 But that also wasn't a footy jumper. That's just a different singlet. Yeah. Did you see that fucking those, that brand? Yeah, that they made a whole real about the, yeah. Oh my God. Turns out those swimming shorts. That's not what they are.
Starting point is 00:19:36 are. They're like, we actually are in the business of running shorts. Like, you find a swim in, but you just did this whole thing about their, my new favorite swimming children. And they're like, they're really not filled for that. But also in the real, I'm like, I don't like that. Yeah. Like in the pod, I said, I think that's too much.
Starting point is 00:19:50 And you know that guy wearing the singler and we all went, ooh. Yeah. He works there. Well, the ooh wasn't at the guy. It was at the outfit. The guy was wearing. Yeah. So shout out to Happy Strides in the UK.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Big supporter of the Tony and Ryan podcast. Um, another thing that was a real. prize today is that we step down, we just feeling so good, we're excited about the footy, feeling really, like, excited, hoping that we win. And Ryan goes, oh, ads. Well, we can't all afford CAO, okay? It's like $37 a month. Do you have it? No. Really? No, I don't have CAO. I can't, like, I can't really justify it. I think for me, because the one thing I watch each week is the Hawks game. Totally. And they're not always on free to air. Yes. So, So then I'm like, oh, for me, that's it.
Starting point is 00:20:41 But if they're not on free to air, you're like, cool, I'll catch them next week. Yeah. And that's fair. And also, sometimes the cricket's on late at night because we're playing in fucking India and I'll go, oh, what a treat. No, but see, for you, that's really good. Whereas I wouldn't know that like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:53 So we did have to watch ads. Yeah. And the old school controversial take, though, does give you a chance to piss. I like the ads. And we can have a little debrief where we are. Do you need to, we need some more. sauce on them wings. Whereas when it's just on the whole time,
Starting point is 00:21:11 it's almost like you need a... It's a breather, in a break. Though we do have one issue with an ad that popped up a couple of times. Because I don't watch Free to Air TV. I actually never see ads on TV. Which is, yeah. And so sometimes things pop up and I go,
Starting point is 00:21:26 are they doing that stuff? Crazy. That is, well, you're learning. Just wild. The advertising is actually working. Yeah. This one in particular,
Starting point is 00:21:34 their promotion is that you win a gold card. for their business, right? Which is like free for life, right? So it's like you've got gold star class fucking all access to everything ever. In the fine print on the adage, which we read because we've got nothing else going on. Is that okay, mate, did you flex into the camera? No lives. Oh, I thought you were just like checking yourself as, are all right?
Starting point is 00:22:06 Should I? I don't know. We can't see. Well, I don't know. I've got my glasses on. But, you know, we could see the fucking fine print. And the fine print was that the free lifetime access equaled $30 a week for 40 years. That's not full access.
Starting point is 00:22:26 There is something in me as like maybe a little bit spiritual woo-woo. I'm like, oh, so am I deciding that I'm dying in 40 years? Is that my life? I totally agree. Like, I don't like that. Value judgment on my life. Charles will live past 43. Charles, are you going to make it to 50 or not?
Starting point is 00:22:47 If you make a joke about me not last than another 40. Well, 50 plus 40. $30 a week. It's a food place. It's a food place. So $30 a week isn't like... It's not even like dinner for the family. No.
Starting point is 00:23:04 It's dinner for one, one time. 30 bucks a week for 40 years. Get fucked. I reckon it in 30 years, 30 bucks is going to be worth nothing. You did say inflation chat. Inflation chat. But I also just think that like, yeah, there's something woo-woo that I do not like about the thought of them deciding my life is 40 years. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:25 I'm just like, well, so what, I'm 30 now, 34, whatever. Four, four, five. Sorry, people just got mad. 30 hang on for hang on no no
Starting point is 00:23:42 how long do you reckon she says 70 40 so four in the thing and then 40
Starting point is 00:23:48 50 60 74 and I don't really I don't no I was trying to concentrate I said how long till she says
Starting point is 00:23:57 74 60 or 74 that's dangerous bro I'm ugly I'm old I ate it my football team
Starting point is 00:24:06 lost Do you reckon it's someone in the legal department going, well, technically we can't do infinity, so we're going to put a number on it? Yeah, fucking nerd. Yeah, what a fucking loser. Eat my pussy slut. Like, who's that nerd deciding that?
Starting point is 00:24:18 Yeah. 30 bucks a week. If you won gold access to a food place, I'd be like, cool, that's my fucking breakfast lunch and dinner. I live there now. Munch me out like there's no tomorrow. Actually, I'll do it. Oh, I just did maths.
Starting point is 00:24:34 He got jealous. Calc? Calc. So $30 a week Yeah times 52 weeks Yeah Times 40 years
Starting point is 00:24:42 Yeah Okay The way they sell it is this gold ticket For a lifetime of blah blah blah Yeah $62,000 Stretched out over 40 years I'd rather just win the lotto
Starting point is 00:24:56 And take my 5 mil today Controversial I'd rather 5 million today Than 60,000 stretched over 40 years in burgers. You know what? I don't want to upset you. Ice cold take.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Ice fucking cold. I think it's red hot because everyone would agree. Ice fucking cold. Oh, do you want to go to the doctors tomorrow? I'd rather win Lotto. Yeah. I fucking reckon, dude. Like,
Starting point is 00:25:25 do you know what I mean? Would you rather? Okay, nice. Yeah. Win Lotto. Yeah. or get a brand new bathroom next weekend. Lotto.
Starting point is 00:25:39 And then I'll pay a professional. Multiple professionals. You know what I'd probably move? With a place with ready to go bathrooms built in. Someone else has already done it. All right. So are you? I think I'm out for the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:25:56 But I'm, do you know, I've been painting in here and stuff. Like maybe. Can you see behind Tony those blue strips on the door? Like, you know. She did that. DIY is on the table. I just think tiling a bathroom is like biting off a little bit more than we can chew. To start with...
Starting point is 00:26:12 You know what's biting off more than you can chew? I'll eat those sausages in fucking about three fucking minutes. You know what's biting off more than you can chew? Yeah. Meeting someone and six months later being like, let's do a daily podcast and change our lives. We're in the business of doing crazy shit. We're in the business.
Starting point is 00:26:32 We have changed our lives by saying, you know what? It does seem crazy, but I'm fucking in anyway. You've never tried this hard for anything. What are you doing? Why do you want to do my father? I'm going to stay at my house all weekend. Prejudge of you listening. No, I've actually got people coming around for the grand final, so.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Do you want to come around? What? Yeah. Yeah. Bonnie, Rach, Dars, little texts, maves, maybe Max, Gem and the boy. is an esther you want to come around well sounds like a full fucking house i don't think that's over me for one more we're going to have a barbecue have a bit of a swim enjoy the game you'd already give it's your fault you'd already given up take that back no well because
Starting point is 00:27:23 oh sorry cause if we won today we were going to go to the game yeah no so everyone knows that i was like if a hawthorn lose what should we do and this is we We obviously don't have tickets But we were going to try hard We were going to figure that out We don't But even though And because Bridger's like
Starting point is 00:27:42 Oh but what if Hawtham wins And I'm like well no And she goes why I'm like Because I said Because I'll need to concentrate But you do Yeah
Starting point is 00:27:50 You can't be socialising at the same time But even if I was watching the game At my house I'm like Oh don't bring your kids over Like This is business Daddy's watching his game
Starting point is 00:27:59 Well I did say At the beginning of this game I said Are we in a position Where we're like Not making jokes you concentrate, you know, and we value that through the game. Now, there were times when I spoke and you didn't answer and I went, not time for jokes.
Starting point is 00:28:14 Not time for talking. Do you think you? Little baby girl. Didn't she get a rev up when Hawks all were up and about? She almost went out the window. Pippa did. Yeah, I jumped on the side of the pillow on the back, nearly fucking. Yeah, it was like one of those things into a river.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Great call. Thanks. A blob. A blob in the river. Now that we've watched an intense game together. Yeah. Do you feel like? You can read the room.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Yeah. You can feel it. You feel the shift of the air. But do you feel like we can be really passionate and still drop a joke? Totally. Or was there times when you're like, oh, no. There was certainly times when I was like, oh, nah. And then like at the end when they lost and you started to tear up a bit, I was like, okay, we're off here.
Starting point is 00:28:55 And that's okay. Anything you want to add, Pip? Oh my God. She's so cute. She's adorable. I do have a really. great you love to see it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:10 And I have saved it for a bit for a day that I knew we would need it. And it's, it's... Fuck, you just lent and went to pick up your laptop. I was like, if you pull out a middle finger... Oh no, it's too gentle today. I've got something here from Ionia Venut sauce. Save some fucking consonants for the rest of us. Should we go to the airport and just beat up Brisbane?
Starting point is 00:29:32 Well, then fly out tonight? No. No, that would be crazy. Okay, here you go. So from Ionia, she said, I don't know if this is your love to say it or just a random thing, but I kind of like art.
Starting point is 00:29:44 I'm not that good, but, you know, I just like to have a bit of a fickle around with the old crayons. Do you know what I mean? Same girl. Last night in a post work pre-sleep time haze, I would love for Tony and Ryan to see this
Starting point is 00:29:58 because I think about the horse photo a lot. I think about how it brings the community together. I think about how it connects Tony and Ryan in a moment where they need. need it. I'm not an amazing artist, but I made this and I would love for everyone to have a look at it. Ionia has drawn the horse photo in crayon and has even got like my nails and your hand on it. So it's us holding it. We'll pop it up on the screen. And the caption underneath says, do we need the horse photo? And I just thought, I absolutely love to see that. And Ionia,
Starting point is 00:30:36 actually posted it on the you love to see it through it in the Facebook group. And Chile, who is in that photo who we met in London, has seen it and was so emotional about it. I'm emotional about it. So the horse photo brings us together. Yep. Maybe Hawthorne could have used the horse photo tonight. They'll need it tonight. But I just thought that was really special.
Starting point is 00:31:00 And thank you, Ionia, so much for drawing that for us. And you saying that you're not a good artist makes me mad and shut up. Would it be supportive for us to send Jarman Impi from the Hawks, who was in that last free kick a picture of the horse photo? Or without context, he might just be like, kick a fucking slot. Yeah, well, what is this? Maybe they don't need the horse photo. Maybe they need the Hawks photo.
Starting point is 00:31:23 So true. That's beautiful. What I will say to Ionia is, as someone who spends a lot of time on the crayons at the moment because I've got a daughter. Of course. Crayons are hard, dude. You're going to give yourself some slack because they are a hard tool to master because it's really hard to work the lines. The thickness just changes like the fucking wind.
Starting point is 00:31:42 And the fact that you've done that with a crayon is amazing. That's really good. I've been fucking with oil pastels recently. When you hit them right. That's nice. Yeah, that is nice. Soft. So soft.
Starting point is 00:31:55 You've never seen anything. See you, babe. Pippa's had enough. Yeah, all right. Love to see it here. And I want to thank everyone. Lay it on me, big dog. I want to.
Starting point is 00:32:05 thank everyone for their support in me shitting myself twice in my night. Oh, yeah. And really going through it. People really came through for you. Don't say came through. Yeah, bad choice of words. Bad choice words. But one in particular, Tapa, Andli.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Hi, Angeley. She goes, I heard that you shut the bed twice. He heard that you lost five kilos in three days. Straight back on. With a bit of water. Yeah. Andley says, you and me are the same. I've had the same experience.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Oh, no. I've lost 11 pounds in six days, which is about six kilos, I reckon. Yeah, because I think a pound is 1.2 kilos. Yeah, so. All the way, a pound is about 600 grams. 425 grams. 450. How many kilograms is 11 pounds?
Starting point is 00:33:00 That is 4.9. 4.9. Well, not as much to make, so it's fun. So it sounds like you were still a bit hydrated. So Andalee goes, oh, we're both just survivors, you and me. We've both fucking copped it. Yep. You took a weight loss drug.
Starting point is 00:33:14 I had chemo. We're pretty much the same. For her to be going through chemo and go, same. I'm with you, bro. Oh my God. Antelie, don't give him that satisfaction. That's what I'll say. My love to see it is that Anderle is a fucking warrior.
Starting point is 00:33:28 You just shoot yourself. Hey. And so true. I survived cancer earlier this year. Oh, you did. You did actually. Yeah. Cancer was found in your bowel.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Yeah. Did I tell you that I have to have another colonoscopy? How soon? In February year? They were like, yeah, you've got to have another one. Don't forget. And I was like, oh, in ages. And I was in fair.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Which is not that far away. No, I only have to do it once a year and they go, yeah, it was in fair. Yeah. Isn't that wild? Anyway, yeah. So I might ask you for some advice. I won't give you advice. I'll just give you the medication.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Yeah. You just try that and see how you go. what do you think was worse probably my mum dying yeah baby girl oh she's eating something no she's just
Starting point is 00:34:19 wants attention don't give it to her just just don't pick her up under the table oh my god I'm busy I'm busy I can't I actually can't
Starting point is 00:34:32 I actually can't and you too want to tile my bathroom he can't even pick up a fucking dog it's because of the table I don't want to hit her house How important is dog picking up in the process of tailing a bathroom? Fuck you.
Starting point is 00:34:45 They're unrelated. But still both important skills. My dad's great at tiling. Terrible dog picker-upper. They're not related. Paul Zach and Rase. It's just Zach. His name was Zach.
Starting point is 00:34:55 But it sounds like Rays in my mind. Both blue. Zach was brown and gold and lived with my Nana and Pahue were Hawthorne fans and would be devastated tonight. Both dead. Yeah. Not because of the loss. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:07 No. unrelated. Yeah. Should we have a side? sausage. Because Torbs did make those. He did. It'd be rude.
Starting point is 00:35:14 I mean, we already told him to go fuck himself. It'd be rude to then not eat the sausages. He can actually, we've got an aisle on going on. Fuck his handsome. Yeah, look at that. A big boy. I might have one of your sausages and then suck your dick. If you're like it's going to be a joke.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Yeah. And yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, you know what? You win some. You lose some. We lost tonight.
Starting point is 00:35:37 We did. We'll be back next year. But, and I know it's hard in the moment because of what you just said. Yeah. But I'm proud of the boys. Oh, didn't they bring it together? They fucking had a crack. And that's all we can ask.
Starting point is 00:35:51 One ball at a time. Absolutely. All right. See you next year or tomorrow. We'll see you. We'll see you tomorrow. Yeah. And if Bunnings want to jump on board, you've got two days to sign on.
Starting point is 00:36:02 If a real Tyler. If a real Tyler is interested also, maybe that would be good. No. Okay. Love you. I will accept a waterproofer because that feels like a legal sign off. Oh.
Starting point is 00:36:16 I have someone who's watched the blog, the waterproofing is always like a pretty important. I reckon the Curseo brothers though. Yeah. The Curseos. Watch this face. All right. See ya.
Starting point is 00:36:25 It's probably not. Bye everyone. I'd say not 100% not. You know what I mean? Love you. Like 85% not anything. Love you. See ya.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Thanks for coming. Go Hawks. Bye. Oh, next year. Yeah. I've got to check my phone now because every person in the world is texting me. Oh, sorry, mate.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Yeah. Love you. Bye. Thanks for being on this journey with us. Love you, bye. Love you, bye.
