Do you want to hear the hack of the century?
Did you fucking know that if you tap it, you can...
I didn't know that!
Isn't that?
Hi, I'm Nikki from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Hey, it's Carolyn from Houston, Texas, USA.
Hey, this is Blake from Newcastle Australia and I approve this podcast.
Welcome to the...
Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast.
What just happened there, Charles?
Oh, just some sound effects still going off in the back.
Yeah, wow.
Charles told me the other day he hated a podcast because they used sound effects.
That's interesting.
Don't recall what exact podcast.
He said he hated them.
Yeah, he did.
I did.
And I said it by it.
Hated them.
You know how many people have sent through the reel, like on Patreon and tagged me in the
real of the little plastic gavel, like the SVU gavel and you hit it and it makes the sound
effect?
So many tarpas sent that through after we used it on that one episode.
Yeah.
And I was like,
it's actually been banned in the, like we have, we have to rain it in and we have stopped using it.
Because we used it to death on one episode and we were like, okay, no more.
I want one last one.
Oh, you can have the odd one, but we were like, we can't lean in.
I want to do one now.
Actually, do we want one each?
We get one dramatic statement.
Just in today's episode?
No, no, like now.
Okay.
You can go first.
No, you go first.
You've got one prepped.
Let me think.
Let me think.
Yeah, there's good seasons and bad seasons.
summers and winters, but it's currently the worst season.
Hey,
oh my God.
That was on both of you, I will say.
Why was that on me?
No, because you took a bit of a pause.
Yeah, for dramatic effect.
It seemed as though that's where you wanted it.
Wait for me to do the point.
But Charles should have been quicker with it.
So I'm saying it was on both of you.
Less quicker with it.
I haven't even got to say the line yet.
But it needed to either be quicker or not at all.
Let me go again.
Wait for the point.
blah blah blah blah all that great setup that was really good and i could never ever replicate
you can do it again you can do it again bad winters winters summers good seasons bad seasons
but now it's the worst season it's hay fever season
nice that was amazing would have been better than first time no we practice things
you do a dress rehearsal before you go live we don't we don't yeah i was like that is
incorrect information if we practice this oh my god
Yeah.
The best thing about it being school holidays is that there's no school zones.
What?
Well, you know how, because I go through two different school zones on my way to work.
So it's just nice when there's no school.
And it's like, oh, six your whole way, you feel like cruising.
Yeah, but I feel like the sound effect isn't related to like things that are nice.
Good news.
It's like dramatic.
Last night I went to cook dinner.
And the chicken was like.
off.
Could have killed someone.
I didn't.
I just, I had some in the freezer, but, yeah.
Sorry.
Well, I actually just before we started recording, I was like, I hope everyone's ready for a really bad pun.
And I have one.
Oh, here we go.
Ready.
I saw this on Instagram.
I love jokes.
And I fucking pissed.
I'm just going to pop it up on the screen.
Oh, good.
So.
It's.
It's a button-up shirt with like Excel, the Microsoft,
the spreadsheet, like screen printed onto it.
And there's a reply to the tweet that says,
I've tried to buy it, but they only had it in Excel.
I've got some crazy news for you that might throw you.
What is it?
You know how Charles is a tech whiz about everything?
I've heard.
Well, we found his tech weakness.
Oh no, what is it?
Ali, myself and Charles were working on something yesterday.
And Ali and I were mucking around in the sheets.
Freaks in the sheets.
And Charles goes, oh, I don't really get Excel.
And I went, oh, tech quiz has a weakness.
We finally found it.
Yeah.
What is it about Excel, Charles?
So I can do like some and like that's it.
But as soon as you get like too tricky with the formulas, I'm at the window.
Do you like a V lookup?
I can, I can't do a V lookup.
I don't even know what that is.
Watching people that are good at Excel,
there is something about it where I'm like,
your brain is just working in a really different way.
But when you watch anybody be good at something,
it's really thrilling.
Yep.
I just think that,
and I'm probably one of them still,
99.99% of people that used Excel
does not know what it's capable of.
Or is that every program ever?
Like, I reckon I know 2% of Photoshop.
You know what I mean?
And is it just the only 2% that you personally need?
But maybe I'm just like, maybe there's another part that I'm like,
fuck, I didn't even know I could do that and I would love that.
There definitely is.
Yeah.
And Excel is one of those.
It can do some crazy shit.
Barely scratched the surface.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I reckon it's the same even with like Instagram.
I'm like, oh, there's probably hell sick features in there that I've just never even seen.
Or some setting you can turn on and off.
That would really help my day.
Yeah.
And I just don't even know.
Yeah.
Do you want to hear the hack of it?
of the century,
speaking of things that you don't know
that can make your life even easier.
Charles,
get the sound effect ready.
Oh,
she's throwing her phone.
I've got this amazing thing
that I've actually just discovered
and I cannot believe it.
I've wasted my life doing something
and this is going to change everybody's life.
When you go to set an alarm...
Sorry, how many alarms you got on it?
It's not the time.
Well, lots of times by the look to things.
Well, so I don't like editing them.
I just add new ones.
And I actually have...
done a cult.
So this is like,
this is actually pretty good for me.
So you've just got every time that exists.
And then you just choose them.
Yeah.
Or like if I'm doing something like on a different day,
the time would be.
So then it's like the three for that day,
the three for this day.
But having them set,
you know how you can go like every Saturday
is this alarm?
I don't trust that.
No.
That's ridiculous.
Okay.
But when you're setting an alarm,
you press a little plus sign,
right?
And then you just,
scroll through the time like this and that takes so long.
Did you fucking know that if you tap it, you can write whatever time you want?
I didn't know that.
Isn't that amazing?
I didn't know that. I discovered that last night.
That's it.
And is that with all scrolling things or just the?
I don't know.
I've only tried it on here.
I don't dare to dare take it into.
Because let me tell you an old person problem that Charles,
you'll have to deal with in about 40 years.
Oh, it doesn't work for that.
Trying to scroll and find your birth year.
Humbling.
Because it goes, enter your birthday, and it's got the scrolly thing.
And it starts at like 2007.
I go, am I going to scroll for the next couple of hours?
And you know what I've got to tell you?
1887, 1987 is a fair few flicks down.
And you know what?
I could just hit four buttons.
We've got limited time.
Literally.
The older you get, the less time you have to wait.
But isn't that actually a great hack?
That's a great hack.
Yeah.
So you don't have to scroll through like that.
You tap it and you can type it in.
Apparently it's been looked up for, like I did not know.
this but apparently it's been like it for five years.
Well, I could have saved myself five years if I'd known about it all that time.
I've got a pitch.
What is it?
Beep-bitt-bib-bib-bib-bib-bib-pitch.
Pitch, pitch, pitch, pitch.
Every Thursday, Tony Lodge brings an iPhone hack.
You know what?
Yep.
Because you know what else I've discovered?
YouTube.
And you know who loves an iPhone hack?
YouTube.
Yeah, it's a good area.
I went to...
Phone or like anything, like, can it be apps to anything tech...
Ecosystem.
Yep.
ecosystem
I'm gonna
No Android hacks
Actually one Android
Get off Android
And get into Apple
And stop using that curly
fucking font
Yeah
I've said that
Yeah
Okay sorry what were you saying
I will
Every Thursday
I will save you
One minute
With a hack
You'll have an hour
By the end of the year
Oh you'll be fucking laughing
You'll be like
Daylight Savings too
I've already saved all this time
Yeah
Daylight savings
already in my pocket
You won't need daylight savings because I'll be the sunshine in your life, saving your day every Thursday.
That's actually beautiful and I need a second.
Charles used to sound like now.
Pop the kettle on, that was emotional.
We need to have a cup of tea and think about what we've just witnessed here.
And I feel like we need a cup of tea in a way where we're like, that was nice.
That was nice.
Like enjoy it.
You don't need daylight savings.
I am your sunshine.
That's lovely.
Yeah, I can do a tech hack.
Okay.
watch this space.
I'll basically be,
what's that,
what's that,
we like it
if you just that fucking
it's not Jerry Jones.
Trevor Long.
Trevor Long.
But it's not one of those names,
you know?
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean?
It's Trevor Long.
Oh, Tony's gone.
It's not Jerry Jones.
You're right.
You're right.
It isn't Jerry Jones.
Yeah, it's not.
Yeah, you're right.
It isn't Jerry Jones.
The only way I could have been wrong is if it was in fact Jerry Jones.
Yeah.
No, and you nailed it.
Who's Jerry Jones?
Oh, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys.
Yeah, he's not the tech guy.
It just sounds like a made up name.
Or.
But so does Trevor Long.
Yeah.
Good on Treve.
Yeah, I'll fucking take him out of business.
Well, no, I don't want to do that.
But I might be so effective that that's what ends up happening.
Let's do normal honor.
Thanks for submitting your normal on ars that Tony and Ryan.
or in the Facebook group there's a pin post Sarah Zee Sarave the skincare I bring my own
cutlery to McDonald's because those wooden spoons taste like you're eating a McFlurry out of a tree
I actually very much agree with you tarpa Sarah Z says I'm not doing it I will not
eat a McFlurry tasting like a forest I bring my own spoon every time McForest but it's like
fur it is it's yuck the old I'm going to
sound like an old person. Do you remember back in the day if you got not a McFlurry because that
was the big spoon that like hooked into the machine when they used to fucking stir them, which was
the ultimate time to be alive. But before that, they used to have these little spoons with the
plastic twins with the M on the end. Do you remember those? Yeah, with your Sunday.
Amazing. Because it looked like the top, the shape looked like what your Nana would have in a spoon
collection. Yes. And you know how when you get a Sunday.
The cup has the little grooves on the inside.
The spoon fit perfectly into the grooves to get like the fudge out of the groove.
What sort of a Sunday did you go for?
I go hot fudge.
Yeah.
Strawberry underrated advice to go strawberry.
It was unreal.
Yeah, nice.
It was just like eating ice cream and jam, which is a fucking great day.
Yeah, that's true.
Yeah, they were really good.
My mum's favourite was a caramel.
So I think I grew up getting that because that's just what she got.
But I love a hot fudge.
It's just so numbs.
You know when they got crazy and they were like, let's do hot fudge in the bottom and something else on the top?
Oh, no, I haven't had that.
Yeah.
Let's get Sundays today.
What a treat.
That does sound lovely.
What a fucking throwback.
If people still sundaing,
McFlurys got too popular.
McFlurys, I just think that they used to, when they spun them up, it was good.
But now it's like there's some stuff on the top.
But then it's just ice cream.
Not that I'm complaining because the ice cream, the vanilla soft serve is amazing.
Have you had the chocolate?
soft serve from Macas? Are they still doing that?
If we got...
That is unreal.
If we got Sundays and soft serves on Uber Eats,
would it be here by the time the episode ended?
It would also be shit.
No, they got discontinued, the chocolate one.
Oh, because do you know what that chocolate ice cream soft serve tasted like?
Did you ever have Chocolo from Wendy's?
No.
I was the shone, the honeycomb shake guy.
Honeycomb mega shake.
Oh my God.
Stop it.
Come in me.
Is there Wendy's still?
I think that was one of Greensparra Plaza for a while.
But Sarah, agree.
The wooden spoon, I'm not into it.
I just, I get that like changing, you know, the bioavailability, whatever, but I just...
Yeah.
And also, I know it's not popular.
We know it's not popular.
But fuck, plastic spoons were pretty good, eh?
It's the same with the plastic straw.
Yeah.
Like, it just, it does the job so well.
Like, you just onto a winner and then you find out the planet's going to end and you go,
But what about that ice cream?
No, I know.
And I feel like turtles love them, but I just,
it's tough.
It's tough being in this life, isn't it?
But I, I respect it.
I just think that if they,
if they gave an option for like a reusable spoon,
I would not take that option.
I would buy that.
I would buy that.
Every time.
Oh, that and that's the problem, isn't it?
Why don't I just keep a dang spoon in my car that I never wash?
Isn't that so exciting?
Yeah, no.
You know when you go to a Japanese place and you can buy...
Tokyo.
I'm familiar.
I've heard of it.
Which place we're referring to in particular, specifically?
Specifically, just Tokyo, that's fine.
But you know when you go to like a Japanese restaurant, if you buy a bottle of sake,
you can have some of it and then put your name on it and they like keep it behind the bar for you?
Because you don't often drink heaps of it.
And then if you go back there, you know how that's a thing.
really like that.
Imagine if at your local at the Bell Street Maccas, I go, yeah, I'll take my hot fudge
Sunday and the Tony Lodge spoon, thank you.
I eat it in the car park, go back through the drive-through, drop the spoon back off, and then
it's there for me the next time I want to come back through.
I'm putting out a call to any...
I think that's a good idea.
Yeah, no, it's amazing.
And I'm putting out the call to any tarpa in Mildura to do me a favour.
Yes?
Because I am...
The Tokyo of Victoria, as they call it.
The Tokyo of...
of the Sun Rasia District.
Where's the Grammy, Grammy?
I'm a co-owner of the brewery in Mildura.
What?
Because they had this thing where like, if you bought a membership,
they kind of just called it a co-owner,
because how cool to say you like co-own the brewery.
We're all impressed.
Yeah, but what you get, Chuck,
it's like for $30 a year that you remember,
and that $30 includes like a tasting paddle,
which costs $30.
Yeah.
But you get your own.
beer mug with your name printed on it, kept in the fridge.
So I rock up and this is when I was like 25, 20 and I'm like, friends come to town and you go,
watch this.
Let's go down to my pub.
We'll go down to my brewery and I order a whatever beer and they get my mug out of the fridge.
It's got my name print.
And they fill it up.
I haven't been there since 2011, maybe 2012.
They still slugging me the 30 bucks a year.
Don't know, but I want to know if that mug still in the fridge.
If you're not paying, maybe not.
That's why I need a Sunraysa Tapa.
It did get sold in 2017.
Which you would have known as an owner.
They should have consulted you.
Sold? Was my dividend sent out?
Yeah.
How did they pay that back out?
But it said sold and set for expansions.
I'm guessing they just made it bigger.
We're in the growth phase.
That's excellent.
From the shareholders meeting.
Yeah.
You're on the board of the Sunrise Apub.
Yeah, it was owned by Stefano, I believe, who was a bit of a local food legend.
Well, you would know him if you owned a business together.
Yeah.
Like, imagine if you didn't know my name.
I mean, for a while, we didn't have a business.
So.
Tony.
Thanks, man.
Tara.
All this time, you're like, hey, so the brandings all wrong.
I didn't want to bother anyone.
I hate to be annoying.
Yeah.
I can do this.
Hang on.
Hang on, hang on.
What's the pub called?
I think it's just called like the Mildura Brewery or something.
Or the brew house or something.
What worked on the name.
Bury.
All right.
Should we do a show on Mildura?
I'd go.
Don't they also?
Because Mildura is fucking awesome.
Well, I've never been, but I have had the juice.
You know, the Mildura.
They used to do like an apple and guava juice.
And that was the yummers juice ever.
That big yellow box.
It was like pink and yellow carton.
Yeah.
Oh.
Dad used to have that.
That was a real fucking treat.
I loved that juice so much.
It's hard to, I don't know if you can still get it.
Mate, that's because you haven't been to Mildura.
We've got to go straight to the teat.
You know what they call the Mildura juice in Mildura?
Slug me another normal or not, big dog.
It's a footy season.
That one's a bit upsetting though.
I don't know if we're in the mood for that.
No, we've got it in us.
It is ice cream related though, so it feels on bread.
for today.
This is from Gabriella Summerfield and doesn't she throw you a curveball from time to time?
What a great name.
Yeah.
Sounds like an author's name.
The latest book from Gabriella Summerfield.
When I lived in Mildura, I used to hang out heaps with Eddie Summerfield because he was the news reader on our show.
Are they related?
Yeah.
That's great.
Mildura edition of normal or not.
Yeah.
We used to like sneak into the tennis.
club like jump the fence and play tennis because we didn't want to pay because we didn't have any
money so we used to do it all the time because we both work the early shift at the radio station
so in the afternoon we're like fuck let's go to the tennis club beautiful grass courts it's next to
the river it's like picturesque and stunning and because it's 2 p.m on a weekday there's no one there
we've got the place to ourselves yeah we can literally climb the fence and then obviously because
we're doing this two or three times a week yeah I end up talking about the tennis club a fair bit on
the show and then one day I run into like the president or the
manager or something and he goes oh hearing you guys talking about the tennis club's awesome great to
know you loving the facilities you know members love hearing about other members having a good time
and blah blah blah and i still don't think he knows that i never gave that place a dime
and me and eddy used to call it contra that they don't know about
which is like we've got a deal where i pump you up on the show you give me a free membership
except we just never discussed that yeah but you were pumping them up yeah if anything you were
getting the raw end of the deal.
So true.
They were doing fine because they were getting all this free advertising and you're
saying how great the fucking change rooms are and whatever.
But I couldn't get into the change rooms when you find the fence.
Sorry, but normal or Muldjurna.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Gabriella Summerfield.
Hi, Gabriella Summerfield.
Actually, I'm going to start this with a quiz.
Okay.
Say you have a delicious sticky date pudding.
Oh, come.
Yum.
And you go, oh yeah, scoop a ice cream on the side?
Absolutely.
What flavor ice cream would you put on that?
Vanilla.
Mm.
Like no other option.
Same with like apple pie.
You would never put something that wasn't vanilla on the top.
The only thing sometimes maybe is if it was a sticky day and you had like a lightly salted caramel or something that compliments the flavor.
Like it has to match.
but I actually agree that a clean vanilla.
I think it has to cut through it.
Like you don't want something else that's,
I personally think,
fuck,
I don't know if people are going to like this.
I personally think that vanilla is the ultimate ice cream flavor.
I actually,
I don't think that you can get much better than vanilla.
I think it's awesome.
If I'm ordering a milkshake,
I'm generally ordering a vanilla milkshake.
I just think it's so fucking yum.
Isn't it crazy that Miss Starfish Queen is all,
also a huge fan of vanilla.
Starfish queen.
But if you're good at something, I'm good at getting it.
Yeah.
What's vanilla about getting calmed in?
You know what I mean?
Nah.
Sorry, just talking about vanilla ice cream and come in the same sentence, it's like,
grow up.
Yeah, I know.
Gabby says, ice cream with desserts is great and people get too fucking whatever about the
flavor.
I just full send any flavor.
ice cream onto any dessert.
I've had warm brownie with chalk mint.
I've had strawberry ice cream on a sticky date pudding.
And I've had apple crumble with cookies and cream flavored ice cream.
It's just ice cream.
It's just dessert.
They're all fucking awesome together.
Everyone else should get over it.
I love that for you, Gabriella Summerfield.
I don't.
I hate that for you and the rest of society.
I love it for you.
I love that you sound like you're very like, who cares?
It's just fun and enjoyable, but I could not.
Pick a random flavour out.
of the fridge and throw it on the...
No.
Nah. No way.
I don't even...
Nah.
Nah.
You're right.
That is upsetting.
Yeah.
I should have taken your word for it.
Yeah.
Gabriela Summerfield.
Great name.
Poor taste in taste.
I'm Nicky from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Hey, this is Blake from Newcastle, Australia.
Hey, it's Carolyn from Houston, Texas, USA.
You're listening to Tony and Ryan.
A massive shout-out to a few of our champion.
toughest over at our Patreon. Thank you very much for being part of it. And thank you so much for all of
you very kind words about our loss this week. Lots of people have said like, it's a tough week to
be a Hawks fan. To be a Hawks fan. And lots of people messaged to the point where I was like,
did something else happen? Because lots people messaged saying, like, I'm so sorry for your loss.
And I was like, someone died? Like it was, people had been very, very generous with their emotions.
Well, I appreciate that. Which has been lovely. I appreciate that. Doesn't make it any easier.
No, but the messages haven't stopped rolling in all weeks,
so I just wanted to say thank you to all the champion tarpers.
Duncan Bell, thanks Duncan, you can ring my bell anytime.
Summer D, summer D's nuts.
Amanda Grace, good on you, Amanda.
Oh, don't use the word grace just after you've done that.
Why?
Well, Grace is like graceful and proper.
Oh, amazing grace.
Amanda, Grace.
Kelsey, good on your Kelsey MC.
It's not, but it might be.

Thank you very much for being part of our Patreon.
Absolutely love to see it.
Appreciate it.
Speaking of us watching the football,
because we watched it at your place,
we watched it on free to wear TV with ads.
We did.
Jessica message through.
said, I was literally just saying to my partner last night that I want to bring ads back.
They're awesome.
We were so much more productive with ads.
Now we binge.
No one gets up to do the dishes, quick tidy up, pop a load of washing on, go to the toilet.
Like, bring back ads.
How do you mean?
Like, I think it's the same with binging.
You just keep watching until you get to the point where you'd over it.
Whereas, no, like, you just kind of tune out.
Whereas when it was like one episode.
per week or whatever,
it just kind of left you being like,
oh,
I can't wait for the next episode.
And I reckon ads is the same.
Like it cuts in and you go,
oh, like,
fuck,
a couple of minutes till.
Fuck,
better clean up the kitchen
and come back and find out what happened.
Yeah.
I will say that I would never live
without YouTube premium ever again in my life.
So swings aroundabouts for everyone.
I would like to send out
some congratulations are in order to
Tony Felicia Lodge.
Thank you so much.
It has been a really tough road to get here
to wherever you're congratulating me for arriving.
Tony won a few rounds of lawn bowls
over the weekend on Sunday.
Yeah, I'm a sports star.
Yeah.
Now, there's only one little asterisk here
and that she won lawn balls on the game going on next to our game.
Because I don't know if
People know this, but with lawn bowls, they go sideways.
Well, because they've got the weight in them.
You have to like get the tilt right.
It took us a while to figure that out.
And the whole crew had a couple of bit of lawn bowls.
And Tony was so far off our thing.
Imagine you're 10 pin bowling and you're knocking down pins three aisles down.
I mean, it's a different skill, a different set of skills.
And then the guy who works there is like packing up the balls for the game next to us and took Tony's ball.
That happened to Charles, I think, at one stage as well.
Oh, did it?
Yeah.
Geez, we suck at lawn balls, eh?
But it was really fun.
It was really fun.
I had the best time.
And I would actually like to announce that Team Tarp will be representing Australia in the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Lawn Boles.
We have done it, you guys.
Yeah.
Where are the 2030 Commonwealth games?
I know Melbourne had the last ones and then just changed our mind.
Yeah.
Gave it away.
Yeah.
Cop back, Glasgow.
Yeah.
Or wherever the fuck are they ended up.
Second choice.
In India.
Oh.
Oh, yes, fun.
I've never been to India.
I'd love to go.
We will be bowling for Australia in India in 2030.
And what a place to do lawn bowls.
When I think Indian culture, I think lawn balls.
Yeah, I think lawn balls.
Yeah.
Great.
That would be stunning.
What city or is it just India in general?
Am David?
As we know, they can make big changes quite close to the games.
Umdavad?
Umdavad.
Thanks, I'm David, Charles.
Oh, hi, I'm David.
Yeah, who are you?
I'm David.
I'm David.
All right, well, we'll be there in India in 2030.
If anyone's got a place for us to stay,
our team's not getting heaps of funding.
So, yeah, if anyone's got a place to put us up, that big day.
Yeah, out of all sports chasing their corporate dollar lawn bowls,
are they getting their fair share?
Well, when we were, is the Commonwealth Games the cold one?
That's the winter Olympics.
Okay, that's what I was thinking of.
So during the winter Olympics,
Tobbs and I watched a bit of curling.
And if you look at,
because it's...
That is pretty much lawn bowls on ice.
I,
that is what I said on Sunday.
I said to you,
do you remember when we got into curling and you went,
nah?
And you just walked away.
But that was what I was getting at.
Anyway,
because the funding of the Australian Institute of Sport is public.
Yeah.
They have to share, like, how much every sport gets.
Yeah.
And, you know, swimming is like $82 billion.
Yeah.
And fuck whatever.
And then right.
I was like, curly is like, $42.50 per person or something.
Like, it's like, it's just so shogging.
As someone who played the grand masculine sport of volleyball, I'm very aware of low funding sports.
Yeah.
Yep.
So what do you get when you're at the AIS and they go, nah?
Yeah, nah.
You pay them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You pay them for the privilege.
Shame, shame, shame.
This is our national squads.
We'll fit right in.
Oh my God.
Lawn bowls.
Yeah.
I expected them to be a little bit older.
They just call it Boles though.
Oh.
Yeah.
But, okay.
I like that little skirt.
That could be me.
Yeah.
Great.
Do you know what it was really fun actually?
Because I did lawn bowls.
I was saying this to you guys.
I did it with the CWA for our Christmas party last year.
And that was really fun too.
Yeah.
How are the ladies going down there?
They're great.
Beryl still alive?
Yet, Beryl still alive and chicken.
Great to know.
She's turned 80 a couple of weeks ago.
Any events on soon?
Yes, actually, we're doing a scone master class in a couple of weeks.
That's actually huge.
Putting that on for the community.
So people are coming and we're teaching them.
Oh.
Yeah.
Where can we buy tickets?
I could hook you guys up if you want.
Not for free, but I can sort that out.
How much do you charge?
Because it's like a private group.
I actually don't.
There was, at the last meeting, there was a big discussion about
how much it should be and then we're all adding up how much cream costs and can we trade a couple of
Tony and Ryan live recording tickets for a couple of there aren't any to give away oh I'll get them
the Hobart ones they're not on sale yet they're not on sale yet yes there's still a chance
I'm getting hot they need to make this deal soon yeah yeah we have to lock something
although how are those old ducks going to go on the gold coast heat you know what I mean
sure I might melt away in January on the gold coast the flight
Oh, we'll take them to fucking wet and wild on the way home.
Oh, they'd like that.
They would like that.
Yeah, so we're doing a little.
They're like, I haven't been wet and wild since last night.
Beskets wild, you can tell.
She gets mad when we talk too loud.
She loves us.
So you two would just be the perfect couple of them.
She does like me, actually.
That's crazy.
We always fist bump.
She's great.
Tony and I, as well as long as long balls, also played another game.
and this is crazy because sometimes in life,
a little game of suck it and fuck it.
Sometimes you're good at stuff.
Well, you're good at that too,
but sometimes you're good at stuff and sometimes you're bad at stuff
and the world just has a weird way of playing things out sometimes.
But Tony is really good at hangman.
I got taught a fucking lesson in hangman.
Every time I was the guesser, I was hung.
And every time Tony was the guesser, she was like,
oh, is it this?
and I'm like, fuck.
It's not something like I thought that I could be good at you.
And Tony nailed me four times.
Yeah.
Because usually like, we're both like, all right, at some stuff.
And sometimes some's a bit better than the others.
But I don't think that's the first time when it was just a full annihilation.
No, I think it's the first time it's been a full annihilation from me.
I think that you and I like me and stuff, but I'm never the winner.
And I would like to pitch because I know we're going through a fun games, uh, via era in
Patreon.
Yes.
I think we need to play hangman because it got a bit heated.
You got mad.
You got mad.
You did.
We were a steward up the table.
Did you walk away?
No, I just needed to get something from the dessert tray.
Those fucking vanilla slices aren't going to eat themselves.
I'm sorry, but we're painting a really weird picture of where we were.
Like, I just...
We went to a bowls club and played hangman.
What the fuck is anyone else doing on their days off in this town?
true.
What do the people do in their spare time?
I don't know.
If they're not playing hangman or rolling one-sided heavy balls down on the thing of grass.
All I know is I've seen both you and Charles every day for like three weeks in a row.
Yeah, we all need a break.
We all need a break.
I did the maths yesterday.
It's a public holiday in Australia.
I've seen them for it yet tomorrow we're safe.
We're safe tomorrow.
Oh, we did talk about going to the pool.
No, we need a break.
We have to cancel that.
We need a break.
I got you love to see it here from Colette Pierce.
Hi, Colette.
Got a free car wash tonight.
Fuck off.
The wife and I had some time to kill this evening and we went,
wouldn't go through the drive through fucking car wash, would you?
And she was like, yep.
The attendant was having trouble with the discount code on the computer.
And so, you know how like people just workplaces?
Totally.
And the person just goes, just go.
Yeah.
Why are you putting out, Charles?
Just have it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So they were trying to pay like whatever and they just couldn't figure it out and the person just goes, just fucking go.
I love that.
I don't give a fuck.
And you know that if you're not nice, they will be like, I'm going to make this work.
But if you're nice and they're just like, oh, did you want to just go through?
You're like, ah!
Yeah.
And so Colette and her wife fucking free car watch last night.
You love to fucking see it.
And date night.
Date night.
Because there's just a little outing.
There's nothing else going on.
You're not like distracted by other stuff.
That's really fun.
Tombs and I are overdue the car wash.
We haven't been through in a while.
We can tell.
I've got a love to see here from Emily, and it's spelled the slutty way, so you know it's good.
With a why.
I-E is the slutty way.
Is it?
Yes.
E-M-I-L-E is the slutty way.
And I've said this many, many times.
Yeah.
Which way if you had an Emily, like your child, you get to name it, how would you spell Emily?
The slutty way.
Really?
Absolutely.
Yeah, I wanted to be cool.
Why?
Oh, nice. Yeah.
So Emily.
I actually thought that was really funny.
Thank you, Emma.
Emily in brackets is called silly blind.
And Emily and I have been chatting on Patreon.
We get along really well.
She is blind.
Like, she's completely blind.
And we've been having a great time.
And I sound like a c- right now.
But you will also laugh when I read this out.
I hope so.
Because circuit.
To agree with you, you do sound like your .
So Emily said, firstly, I just want to thank you and Ryan for being there,
laughing in my ears on the times of days.
Not watching on YouTube, obviously.
You'll laugh when we get to it.
I hope so.
I fucking hope so.
Emily says, I haven't worked since qualifying as a counsellor because no one wants to take a risk with a blindie.
What sort of counselling should do?
Maybe we'll take her off on an offer.
I love to chat and after listening to your pod,
I decided I wanted to fulfil my dream of having my...
own podcast.
My aim is to show that blind people can have fun too.
We play games and add a little bit of knowledge alongside awareness about being blind.
And the podcast is called See You Never.
And Emily says, and it's something I'm just so, so proud of.
So Charles has got the podcast up.
So we'll share their link and everything.
Everyone will be able to say it.
Not Emily, obviously.
I messaged our only back.
So we've been messaging packets of all.
when she went to me about this podcast.
And I said, oh, I'd love to share this on the show.
He said, okay if I use it as a you love to see it.
And then I said, oh my God, is that insane?
And she said, she peers.
And she was like, oh, my God, absolutely.
I would love that.
Please put it as a love to see it.
You have full permission to take the piss.
And she said, I would love to be people's blind person that they,
if there's any questions they are scared of asking.
She will answer.
I would love to be the person.
Okay, well, is she on our website as our designated blindie?
Our number one blindie.
No, I have to ask her.
Don't think she's saying the website.
Yeah, I actually was speaking to Emily and I was like,
because I was like, is it weird that Tony has her you love to see, blah blah.
No, no, I'm like, well, you know, what would you love to see?
And she said anything at all.
She is such a babe.
You could search Emily.
Charles, maybe not blind.
Blinding, Charles.
No, because that's their job for a hole.
I.
I.E., Charles, it's the slut way.
She said, with a lot of emily's on staff.
No IEs.
No slutty emilies.
Okay, if you're a slutty emily and you're watching this,
you need to go to tonyryan.com.com.
And go to the join our team part because we need some slutty emilies.
What are the other emilies with the wires doing?
What jobs are they got?
Oh, they're all hot and sluggish.
Leadership and learning manager.
Oh, we've got a crochet lady.
Oh.
Family.
photographer in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Supreme Overlord of Cheer and Questionable Life Choices.
Good on you, Emily.
Also, we've got a mechanic in Milbonne Queensland.
Oh, Emily Edwards.
We've got a banana bread maker in Derby.
Oh, United Kingdom.
The greatest kind.
Oh, I thought it was Derby, W.A.
Not the greatest kind.
North of Broome.
That's okay.
That's great.
But if you're a slutty, Emily, we need you to join our team.
We need some more slutty emily.
Have you listened to?
see you never? No, I haven't yet, but I wanted to share it. Emily's very, very excited about
you could be a guest. I'd love to be a guest. And the episode would call see you never Tony or in
acronyms CUNT. I was going to say C-N-N-T. I was going to say C-N-X Tuesday. It's very, very good. Yeah,
I like that. But Emily, thank you very much for sharing that. We're very proud of you for
starting a pod. But also, it's really cool, I reckon, for you to say like if people have questions,
like probably in the comments and you'll reply or whatever because like I think that this is where people
when people are uncomfortable about stuff that's when they are rude and that's when they are insensitive
because they feel awkward they lock up whereas if you feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes
that's when you learn yeah like when you explain to charles and i what a paps mear is it's a safe space
and we can all ask the questions we've always wanted to know but it actually is like and when you're
someone who is welcoming questions about like your life or a disability or whatever and not that
that's your responsibility, but it's pretty cool that Emily would, would like offer that up.
So if you've got any questions.
My, I've got a question.
Say.
In Australian drinking culture, when you have heaps, you would be like, oh, that guy's
blind.
Oh, like is that insensitive?
Yeah.
Tell us, Emily.
Isn't that a really common thing to say?
And then you go, oh, well, actually, that's probably a bit fucked.
Yeah.
Send your questions through.
You can comment your questions on the YouTube today or in the Facebook group.
And I'm sure that Emily will say that.
Oh yeah, then one happens.
We'll ask her verbally.
Well, I can send them on Patreon or...
She also has like voice to text to voice.
Yeah.
Because that's how she was messaging me on Patreon as well.
Like, like dictating it and then it was like copying in.
But I love to see that.
Thank you, Emily.
That's really generous.
All right.
The Australian Football League grand final is on Saturday.
Hawthorne is not playing.
Tony.
Are you...
Trying to get tickets?
Is it a bit too fucking late in the piece?
now you never know you big luck because your partner goes for freemantle who's playing
fremantle versus brisbane yeah so tobs is a free oh like his family is yeah so you're don in
the purple for the weekend yeah it's all right you're like well you pick your team for the game
yeah and i feel like i mean i hopefully we get to go i've never been to a grand final before it be
really fun but is there also just this like oh like if there's a western australian team then that's sort
of you know well yeah for me there's like a bit of that yeah i get it but also like that's my husband
So we probably, like, he's come to...
Like, he's been to Hawks games with me and worn like Hawks merch.
Oh.
So I feel like the two of us, we're versed.
And you've got to be in this economy.
Yeah, one of us is fucking, one of us is sucking.
One of us is sucking, you know what I'm saying?
So true.
Love you.
Have a great weekend.
Chat to you next week.
Go free.
Sorry, yeah.
Nah, it's all right.
Take some practice.
Boy.
Love you, bye.
