Mike advertised this week, outdoors by the way, mid-November, advertised this week outdoors by the way mid-november uh gust of wind as like verbatim the word gust of wind came out of mike's mouth several times uh heaters promised in writing promised on twitter in like verified written down there are heaters there's fotms that know that he promised heaters we get here and there is not heaters there's FOTMs that know that he promised heaters. We get here, and there is not heaters. There's a heater on Mike and his equipment. You bring out some butane lighter. You're like sort of peeking in the front of this. I don't think you know

how it works. Meanwhile, you haul out I don't even know what this is. Some World War II, you know, something to like heat the tent for the soldiers. I borrowed that from Bojana. It's Bojana's heater. Another heater that you brought. You bought the thing.

You saw some Facebook ad for like an infomercial style heater. Yeah, it's called like Mr. Cozy or something. And it does it in a braid. Mr. Buddy? What is it called? Mr. Buddy, my heat buddy. The thing doesn't work because you used all the propane to make hot dogs with your kids. And here we are cold. We did have hot dogs. But kids and here we are but mike

you can't see it on his camera you should just tilt your camera so people can see what a guy you are he has a huge heat lamp like a long heat lamp pointed right at him i'm gonna make this guy and his quote equipment that needs to stay quote warm it doesn't want to get quote ruined i know okay i see how many weeks have we been doing pandemic fries a couple of years would go a long way okay there are literally three heaters on this porch right only one works conveniently the one that's pointing at you i am as shocked as anybody that the buddy has not is not functioning uh i bought that this week because you stewart stone complained about the cold last week i I went out and Monica helped me find this deal at sale.

S-A-I-L. Oh, that's a good store. It just arrived. I had one propane canister in the shed because I used it. I have to buy. So you got me a car, but there's no gas in the car. I can't do anything with the car. When I left Pinery with the kids in late August,

that still had propane in it. So where the hell did it go? I'm sorry. I thought that would be like warming you up as we speak right now. I'm really sorry. Devastating. I'm sorry. I'm surprised it's not working. I left my blanket at home thinking, oh, he promised heaters, plural.

I'm embarrassed. There's no heaters here. There's not even a lighter here. Mike doesn't even have a jacket on. It's hot over here. Bullshit, this is. Dana Levinson, you didn't treat her like this? If she was here, there'd be a heater.

you'll see everywhere that he's born in 1980. But I know for a fact that is false because you are in your 40s already. You're not born in 1980. He's just an 80s kid. You know, I would also like to point out, once again, that Mike has a heater on him. He's not even wearing a jacket right now. He's sweating, schvitzing, as we would say.

And subtitled boys will be boys. Yes. Make sure I don't forget to subtitle it. In fact, you know what would be an appropriate theme while we discuss this theme? I think this is a good boy band jam that none of us are kicking out.

A lot of Cam talk early in that ep. Did you listen to it? Too much Cam. Never enough. Apparently Cam was the moderator for a Degrassi Degrassi Palooza. The bullying panel.

So Cam was on there. Mike, who guessed it? Who are we talking about here? Just for the listeners who might not know who we're talking about. Pat Mastroianni. Absolutely. Joey Jeremiah was on your show. Which I said twice I called him Joey. And he had a controversial moment there when he was, you know, first of all, I told you that those guys didn't get paid.

Yeah, I know, because they're non-union, right? I mean, I told you that. That's why you didn't work on Degrassi. That's right. Because you needed to work for union shops. I was getting, you know, I wanted to be on Degrassi. But you know what? Sometimes life works out better for them because, look, he's got, he's still got fans from Degrassi.

So that is the best job he could have ever got as an actor as far as, you know, longevity goes. I mean, the guy's a legend. The show is legendary. There's been a next generation and a next generation. But it was interesting to hear him talk about how much less fun the next generation was, because at that point, I guess it was like a union corporate thing.

It was like Bell had basically purchased the Degrassi universe. Hey, Drake. Yeah, of course. It did be Drake there. So Cam, I'm sure I mentioned Stu Stone in that episode a couple of times as well.

He's awesome. Just such a sweet guy. Stu is too. Stu is too. All the greats. Okay, shout out to Jeff and Ajax who sent me a neat note this week about how he paused. He was watching last week's Pandemic Friday, but he was watching on Periscope.

Podcast, you have to hear. You can't watch. But he was watching the Periscope and he paused it to go do something and he came back and he said, oh no, there's scratches on my screen. But what he was seeing was the light reflecting off these hydro wires behind you and he thought it was like scratches on

a screen. I don't know if he has a cat or not, but shout out to Jeff and Ajax who shared that story and a picture. Is that worth sharing? What a wild tale. Did Cam send that? What a tale. And did he meet like a random celebrity while he was looking at the picture?

What the fuck was that? Like Rance Malnix happened to drive by at that moment. Obviously, shout out. Actually, we're quite popular in Ajax. A few Pandemic Friday fans are in Ajax. We're big in Ajax. I think we are.

Correct. It means under vacuum. That's what it translates. So basically, you put the brisket in the sous vide for like 72 hours.

you know, honestly, and I am... Careful, Cam's right there. I just didn't think that it was necessary. But at the same time, I didn't think it was necessary when Facebook did it, and I didn't think it was necessary when Instagram did it and I didn't think it was necessary when Instagram did it

and people seem to use it so listen obviously the analytics don't agree with me and I'm okay with it just give us another option yeah another option for you

I actually have no problem with it existing but it takes up lots of real estate at the top of my mobile phone you're just not used to it yet I know because I wish

I had an option to toggle to remove that it's like when Facebook changes the whole thing on you. He's uncomfortable. We've got to move on. No, no.

This is good feedback. I would love to be able to go in and just say, I don't want to give that bar at the top of my mobile phone to the fleets. Just put it in your setting. Yeah. Because I personally, this is true, again, this is true for me on Facebook and Instagram and all the others. I never use the disappearing stuff.

Stuff that disappears, I have no interest. I go, why would you want to post something that evaporates into the abyss? Like, why not have a... Here's something like... Because there's a cancel culture off the chain, so it's like now you kind of want things to disappear. Those guys will screen cap it,

the assholes who are trying to cancel you. Yeah, I guess so. Well, I was just going to say, I mean, it depends what your use case of social media, Mike. I mean, you're one of like... I'm old. I'm old. No, no, you're not old. I'm old for the demographic.

Actually, you'd be surprised. I'm older than you guys. The demographics on Facebook is like people in their 30s to 50s. Oh, yeah. And on Twitter, it's probably a little older too. But, Mike, I was going to say, think about how... Let's use your full name. Toronto Mike uses the internet. I mean, you're like a real archivist. I mean, you're like a real archivist. Right, that's true. In a lot of ways too. I do like to be able to find stuff from 20 years ago. Yeah, and I think you and I are similar that we like our social media to be a historical record of thoughts we've had or places we've been or places we've biked.

Right, I want to be able, like what were we saying about SARS back in 03? And I like to kind of go back and see that kind of stuff. But with these evaporating fleets, there's not going to be any record of that. Well, don't fleet. You know, breaking news, breaking news. Mike's wife has left, and there's still no heater. Well, a boy band, a gust of wind, though, baby. Oh, yeah. Gust of wind. That's okay. Boy bands, by definition, is a band of boys. I would say that their appeal would probably be predominantly to sell pop music recordings to teenage girls or or teenage boys yeah they're very successful uh ones would be pinups as well uh pinned on little kids uh walls and lockers and i would say that uh that qualifies uh dance moves they got to have

the moves absolutely there's you know it seems like a boy band i would think is an all-around entertainment package as opposed to... It's a singing and dancing kind of thing and be good looking and sell lots of records for screaming teenagers at the mall. I would say marketed, yes, to a younger demographic. In some cases, this might be more of an audition process than an organic how these bands came together. Not in every case. But I think if you dig deep into the real successful ones, I'm sure we'll hear some obscure ones.

We've got Cam and Mike picking. But you're going to hear the good songs are going to be ones that transcended just being a boy band. Like songs that crossed the aisle and everybody knows them. And there's a lot of big hits from these boy bands, so I'm excited about that. There's a lot of controversy to get into. There's a lot of stories in these boy bands.
