If your brain is already at full capacity with the to-do list, the errands, the birthdays, the dinner plans for Tuesday, let Skylight Calendar handle the rest for you.
It'll sink your entire family schedule into a sleek digital display so you could focus on more important things, like spending your time with your loved ones.
Catherine and I have a Skylight Calendar right when you walk into the pantry.
If you get a cup of coffee and on the wall next to us, we have it completely up there and it has everything.
It has her daily schedule, her weekly schedule, her monthly schedule.
It has mine. It shows us what's going on for all hours of the day, which is so helpful as both of our schedules continue to get busier.
Skylight Calendar is designed to bring families together. One of my favorite parts is it's the all-in-one digital smart calendar, but it syncs seamlessly to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and more.
And gives you customizable views. Families are better when they're working together. Right now, Skylight is offering our listeners $30 off their 15-inch calendars by just going to My Skylight.

Our episode of Trading Secrets, it's 30 Minute Thursday, your favorite time of the week where
David and I talk all things, life, finance markets. We, of course, got to recap the episode
from this previous week. We were just at an unbelievable, one of our best friends, weddings,
in Rochester, New York. So of course, some good stories there. And, you know, I can't help
put my wedding planning head at wedding planning cap on while at these weddings and thinking about
what I loved and things I'd want to replicate. So, man, we got a lot to talk about. Also,
in the news, there's just so much going on. Back to school shopping right now is beyond expensive.
We'll talk about the numbers. 20K, some people are paying to get their college rooms decorated.
I don't know what the hell is going on in this world. That's a buyer.
by you and I will talk about it. Traders
announcing a new cast with all regular
people. There's so much to hit on. We got 30 minutes.
David Ardoin, how we feel and how we doing?
Oh, we're feeling great. We're feeling
good. It was so great
to see you. Spent some real quality time
with you last weekend. It's great to celebrate
our best friend Hawking's wedding. What an absolutely
magnificent, beautiful wedding that I'm sure
we'll touch on. And it's been
it's a life week. I got to see some buddies. I got
to celebrate love. I got my parents flew in from
Vancouver this morning, so I got my parents here,
which is exciting. I got some
crazy things that broke around the house and more bills and quotes coming up.
So it's just one of those weeks.
We're zipping, we're zagging.
We're hitting highs.
We're hitting lows and we're in it.
So it's just another week in the summer in the left.
I'll tell you.
But it's great.
What snapped me right back to reality this week was I'm going from David's pool,
having a beer, little Chinese food pizza, wings, dessert, everything.
I land, you know, wake up, little groggy, land back in Nashville, boom,
podcast with the chief medical officer of Banfield Pet Hospital.
Nothing will kick you back into the work week, like a conversation like that.
So that episode is coming out soon, 20 years as a vet.
But my gosh, what a great weekend it was.
Before we get into the weekend, the wedding and all those things,
let's talk about Rachel Mansfield.
I mean, what's really, really cool is in this moment, in this second,
she just texted me that I manifested it for her.
I said it on the podcast.
She just got New York Times best sell.
Wow, that's incredible.
And I think we've had enough of these guests on that if you're listening to this right now
and you're not thinking, it's time to just do your thing, right?
I mean, fired from her job, does her thing.
Her Wall Street finance, right?
Like big executive husband quits the job to go work on the social media side of the business
with his wife.
Now she's in New York Times bestseller, multi-million dollar CPG company selling in targets,
which by the way, she sent me those caduce.
You should get them for your kids.
They're so good.
It's just the definition.
You got something you're good at.
In today's world, if you don't pursue it, shame on you.
Yeah, I agree.
You honestly took my intro of what I might take away from this episode out of my mouth.
I mean, not just fired from her job, fired from her job for the thing that she is now making more money, doing more things, more opportunity,
and calling it a conflict of interest.
If that's not a sign for you sitting there listening to this,
wanting to do something else that you're passionate about,
but in the jail cell that is your cubicle,
is your laptop,
it is your monitored work from home,
that is just like conflict of interest.
Yes,
that boss who fired her was right.
It is a contract of interest at this cubicle jail cell
was keeping her from all the talented and wonderful
and amazing things that she's doing.
the story of her husband leaving finance to work for her was just incredible.
New York Times bestseller.
She talked about the book being a net, net negative in terms of dollars
with all the promotion and travel and things that go into making the book
and the $600,000 for a food stylist for a book.
It was all just really incredible.
She reminded me a little bit of you.
You ask her what the hardest part of her job was.
She said, no shutting off.
Did take maternity leave.
She doesn't have an assistant.
Her best friend is a manager.
And she said she's a control freak.
and I think when you're in this and spending time with you
and listen I used to get really annoyed with you
in the moments of being at a wedding or being an event
you like thinking of like the next thing
or pulling out your phone or just like having to take a video
just in case you might use it.
I've come so far around
and maybe this podcast is really important
in hearing these stories from people like Rachel Mansfield
or Rich BFF will have on like
this industry is so glamorized
and when you spend enough time and it clicks
and you get it and you've kind of clocked like how hard it is.
Like I have so much respect for that.
So I've taken a complete 180 on that because I see how hard it is.
Yeah, it's hard.
It's competitive.
And it's one of those things.
You just can't shut it off.
I'll also say what's cool to is even, okay,
even if we go like to this conversation ties into the wedding.
But even at the wedding, I had the groomsmen do two quick videos that probably took us,
I don't know, a total maybe two minutes to film.
I did one with Hawk that took 90 seconds to film.
And other than that, just got little clips here or there, right?
I really didn't get, I really didn't do much.
But, you know, it's cool when, like, the groom and the bride are texting you being like,
you did better.
Like, and we were just putting around, Catherine.
You got better video work than anyone that we had at the wedding and stuff.
And then the boys get, like, that one transition one that we all loved.
Like, there's some cool, like, there is some cool storytelling and bookmarking with it.
But it is an industry that, like, it requires.
It requires a lot.
We talked about it, right?
Like, you're the creative, you're the edit, you're the producer, you're all that.
And she's also a mother.
She's a wife.
And she has a lot on her plate.
And now because of the empire she has built, she has a ton of responsibility on her plate.
And just building off that, like, she's all doing so while being extremely relatable for someone our age, whether it's she's training for bachelor at parties by like trying to force herself to stay up at night before.
Like, we've all been there.
like, oh my God, can I really go to Miami or can I really go to Vegas and do this with my friends?
And I'm so checked out with kids and having it up in a while.
And her meals and her recipes, when you ask her, her special meals, no, no boiled pasta bake,
I was like, oh my God, I need to make that.
It sounds easy for my kids.
And now I want to go ingest her content a little bit.
So, man, she just is, now we've had her on, correct?
Or is this the first time we had her on?
No, first time.
I could have sworn we had her on.
No, first time.
Yeah.
This is just, she's just incredible.
And maybe because her story was so inspiring,
it just fell on like, oh, of course, like we've had her on before.
But this was, this was great.
Let's go with this.
Before we wrap on Rachel, the number one,
the number one curious Canadian takeaway that you learn from Rachel.
What would you say it is?
Number one curious Canadian takeaway?
Oh, man.
It's a good question.
I would say my biggest takeaway was, I think, it's not even a takeaway from her.
It's more just like a mindset.
It's like, man, you just listen to these episodes and you can just never be satisfied.
Like, you can never be satisfied.
You can never be satisfied with your job.
You can never be satisfied with maybe the power of what you and your partner can do together.
You can never be satisfied with wanting a better life for your kids in terms of it,
this whole thing started off wanting healthier snacks for them. You can never be satisfied
in just having one stream of income. She has two streams of income. You can never be satisfied
with you do a book. It takes a loss. It turns into a New York Times bestseller. I just think
from her it was like her, that's infectious. That was my biggest curious Canadian takeaway.
I'm like, okay, this is why she's on the podcast and 99.9% people don't make it on the podcast
is because she doesn't stop. She's never satisfied. She never said it. It's great. It's great
takeaways. I agree with that. And then I'm going to ask our audience. I'm going to ask you guys if you're still
with us here on 30 minute Thursday, eight minutes and 21 seconds hit. We are doing a deep dive into
trading secrets. As you can tell, we're making changes. 30 minute Thursdays is one of those changes that
is here to stay. We have been told by you guys, you love it. So if you could write us an email,
trading secrets at jason tardick.com. It could be media at jasontartic.com. You could go to Spotify or
Apple, give us five stars and just leave us the review. I promise you, all eyes are on right now.
we are having this moment at trading secrets where we are really diving in.
We are looking at all the analytics of every download of every single show.
We are looking at all the analytics of social media, the engagement, the likes,
the shares, the comments.
We are trying to understand this thesis.
Why do people come and listen to Trading Secrets?
On our podcast page right now on our stories, we have a poll up there and we just put four answers
and there's probably more.
but we said our guests, we said our host, we said insights, education tips is one segment or we said just the numbers.
Right now, there's nothing running away, but our guests has 41% of that vote.
Our host has 20% of that vote.
Our insights, education tips line has 22% and the numbers have 16%.
So you got our guests followed by insights, followed by a host, followed by the numbers.
So we're trying to get more information that if you give us five stars, let us.
know we would really appreciate it because, you know, every guest brings something different
and we're down that rabbit hole.
And a little behind the scenes, look, we do do a weekly strategy call with the podcast,
and they're usually half an hour, they usually find, they usually turn.
They're hilarious.
We got to record one of those.
Oh, my God.
There's so much shit talking.
It's my favorite.
You know, I'll be on what, let's call it eight times five, 40-some meetings a week.
It's by far my favorite call.
It's so good.
But this one was not half an hour.
was about, what an hour in five minutes.
And it was like, we challenged each other.
We kind of went at each other.
We kind of made each other question.
It was, it was awesome.
And we just got into this philosophical thing.
You have to remember that we're 330 episode plus in.
And so it should be this point where, you know,
are we having the same guests on for the same purpose?
Is it time to think about diversifying into maybe some different industries
or a different type of guests that we wouldn't have on before to reach a new audience
if we want to grow, how we max out our potential with maybe our current demographic
of what who listens to the pod but it's really important to us because we want to make sure we have another
130 330 episodes and we always want to keep changing because we don't want it to get stale for us
because just like I tell my players if it's if I'm not having fun my players aren't having fun
if me and jason aren't having fun we're not into it I can imagine that our episodes really shine
through and that's it's perfectly said and that I think that imposes one big question
I'm curious if you guys enjoy the guests that are connected to pop culture more
or the guests that bring in a ton of information and expertise.
Like I had someone stopped me this past weekend, David, and I couldn't believe it.
They said, oh, my God, huge fan of the podcast.
And I said, and I immediately said, what was your favorite episode?
Right?
Because I'm always trying to get feedback.
And they said it was the pest control episode.
What?
I was like in the airport, I was looking left or right.
I thought that was a cool episode.
But like that, the guy who became a billionaire off pest control, that was your favorite.
Okay.
Wow.
Didn't expect that.
I was thinking maybe T.J. Palma Love Island or I don't know, Harry Jousy or somewhere.
Like, okay.
So I'll ask you guys that too.
What is your favorite type of guests that we have on?
So please, I'm like actually begging you.
Send us emails.
Send us comments.
Let us know.
We're interested.
We are going to follow up on this and we are the kings of not following up on things.
And we are going to follow up on this next week.
I'm going to put in my notes right now that we are going to read some of your emails to hear what
some of our people are saying, and I'm going to challenge Jason to bring some data so we can
start looking at the guess and how the download numbers are doing and see if download numbers
are reflected by our guests too, because I think it's important that we look at those, talk about
those, and we'll grow this way together. If you do have guests that you're super passionate about,
not just say them to say why, so we can understand it a little bit and then we'll see if it
matches our why, and we can keep growing from there. I love it. All right. Now, I want to transition
into one of my favorite memories from the weekend with David.
I want to paint this picture for you.
We are in the locker room.
David hasn't worn his tux in months.
He said he put on a couple pounds.
He's terrified at the fact that he will not fit into his tuxedo.
So I'm in the locker room with him.
He's bending over.
He's got his boxer briefs on.
And he is just working these toes to get through these pants.
He is just pulling them up.
It is tight.
He's making noises.
He can't figure out if it's going to happen.
He looks up and he says a prayer right before he puts his pants.
And he does one big jump.
He grabs each belt loop on the count of three.
He is going to bring his pants to his waist because he needs this tucks to fix because we have to walk down an aisle in literally 10 minutes.
One, two, three.
Boom.
David brings his pants right to his waist and it fits a little snug, but it fits perfectly.
He buckles the clasp.
He pulls up his zipper on his fly and he takes a sigh of relief.
I fit in my tucks. We celebrated. Well, not too long from then, roughly around, I'd say,
seven minutes. I'm sitting down and I see David's ass. It's right in my face. And I was like,
is that a design? Like, what is that? Oh, no, that's not a design. That is a tear this big,
and right in the middle of his tuxedo pants, hanging on by a thread. I mean a thread.
One more rip, pants are gone right down the ass.
We panicked.
We got the wedding planner.
We got three pins to tuck this thing away.
My God, David, you were fourth and inches from one of the biggest cluster fucks of a tuxedo at a black tie minutes before walking down an aisle at a wedding that I've ever seen in my life.
Yeah, it wasn't great.
Wasn't great.
I'll revert to a couple things.
Last week you asked me how I was doing, how I'm feeling.
And I said, I was like, you know, I've kind of been on a little bit of a bender here the last month, not just,
drinking but like eating and having fun and i hadn't worn the tucks since i wore it in may i did this is
one of those annoying parts we just talked about you always having your phone out did i think that you
would have your phone out as i'm trying my suit on for the first time since may no but as i said please
fucking fit as i sucked in my last suck in to put the button on and they fit yeah you got it on film
uh i am as as as much i hate we're talking about this i'm extra grateful that you caught my
pants being ripped from the top of the middle of the pant all the way starting to go down a little bit of
my my behind and uh and you caught it and thank you to the grooms brother who's an anesthesiologist
because I needed those hands with those needles to be able to sew the pants up I was on the dance
for the whole night though pants are intact safety pins did their job uh we all prevailed a yeah man that was
that was a nerve-wracking moment there's there's no part of me wanted those pants to rip walking down
the aisle. So good catch by you. And yeah, I guess it's time. We've got to listen to with.

thing. I am glad that I have on video for the rest of my life. And this, David, this is why we
capture some of this content.
And you know what?
You should be no surprise to that.
You catching me on your phone and Catherine putting the beer on Caleb's bouncy thing.
What the hell do you call those things?
They call it a bouncy thing.
Oh, wow.
Go to Jason's Instagram right now if you haven't seen it.
And I'm there on Sunday.
We're having up.
You know what?
We're pretty hung over and we're like, let's just crack.
Let's just get a little hair of the dog.
Let's crack a beer.
And we're sitting on the coach right before we go outside.
And my son's there bouncing around on the.
the bouncy thing. I'm snapping
into a little bit and I think
Catherine is probably video because
my son admittedly pretty cute
having the time of his life bouncing these things
and I noticed he puts his beer
on the bouncy thing like it's a coffee tail
table not thinking anything of it. I was just like
Jason what are you doing
and shit you not three seconds later
boom the beer falls on the floor
Caleb's looking at Jay like he's the funest uncle
he's ever seen in his life so it was great
it was good time those phones being out
they're starting to capture some good moments here
They are. Bonehead played by Jay.
But here's the other thing, too, David.
You always say about the phone.
But here's the thing.
When we're together, we're never on our damn phone.
We never get pictures.
Now, aren't you happy that I took a little phone time and we got this picture of each other?
You know, look at the boys.
Looking good in our suits like a million bucks.
I'll tell you what.
I'm glad I got some of those things.
Probably pre-rip on those pants on that photo, probably pre-rip.
But that's, we'll never know.
But that is nice.
I mean, the way that the form that you,
you have on this photo, that form, like belly out, that might have actually ripped them.
Well, you don't think that's form, bro.
I sucked in for like seven hours straight.
That's not form.
That's like I have no choice.
I thought you were like.
Shouldered back.
Yeah, I'm just, I'm hanging on for dear life.
It is what it is.
It worked.
We don't been there.
Listen, if there's anything about.
We've all been there.
We've all been there.
We've all been there.
But I, you know what?
I didn't even get a photo.
Ash and I didn't even get a photo with Hawkins.
live. We didn't even get a photo with Catherine and you, but that's just it. You stayed at my house
Sunday night. We were together all Friday for rehearsal dinner and drinks. We were all in the
grooms and room. We got one. We're lucky that you and I got one picture together. We're just a joke.
So shout out to Jay. His speech was great in a rehearsal dinner to hog. Likewise. Likewise.
Thank you very much. But it was great. Let me ask you, your thinking cap was on for the wedding.
What about this one? If you could take one thing from the
his wedding and capture it and bring it into your wedding because it was that memorable, that
fun, that significant that I want my, as a guest I experienced that I wanted my guest to experience
that. What was it? I'm giving you two. One's tangible. One's intangible. Okay. The one that's
intangible is I have been to many weddings in which you think to yourself, are they going to make it?
You know, you think to yourself, is this really the right fit?
And that energy is felt everywhere.
That's not one person.
That's every person.
And this was the definition of a room where there was so much care, there was so much love.
There was so much intangible happiness with the people that were there and that were in that room.
and so much love between them that is so real that all night, it really felt like what a wedding
should be, which is celebrating two really good people that really got lucky in life to find each other.
And to me, like, that was the most beautiful thing. And that was so evident, no matter what time
of the day it was, where you were looking or where in the party it was, that's irreplaceable.
To build off that, for those who don't know Hawks' father passed a year ago from pancreatic cancer,
and it was right when Liv and him moved in together a month prior
finding out they got sick of Chicago and they packed up,
they went back to Rochester and they fought with them for almost a year.
And I say that because the vows that they exchanged were powerful.
And I think everyone to build off what Jay said,
it was a wedding unlike any other wedding because of how bad everybody wanted
to give them the night that they deserved after what they've been through
and show their love and support and through all the hard times they have,
like just be there to celebrate them and what they've, you know,
what they've been through and the life that they're going to share together.
It was that that was the biggest takeaway of all time for me.
It was probably the wedding filled with the most love of the bid do.
Yeah, it's just, but that's like not, that's 100%.
And that's something that can't be replaced.
And it's also not a competition or a barometer.
Yeah.
Because your wedding was the same way.
in the fact that it just makes sense.
You and Ashley makes sense.
We're with you on Sunday.
It makes sense.
It clicks.
It's like two pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly.
That's what it is.
And that's what it is with them.
And that makes you when you're watching them get married and they're exchanging their vows and you're up there.
It makes you want to cry for them in happiness when you're partying with them.
It makes you want to hang with them.
And when it's over, you want to schedule your next double date with them.
Right.
That's how you and Ashley are.
That's how Hawk and Live are.
And that to me is like,
it's irreplaceable.
And I think anyone listening to this can relate to that.
We've been to those weddings where we're like, what's this really about?
Like what, you know, what's actually happening here?
And you feel that.
You feel that energy.
So that's the intangible.
That was just so beautiful.
The tangible, let's talk about the tangible.
It was gorgeous.
I mean, it was just the lighting was great.
The flowers were great.
It was gorgeous.
Gorgeous.
So I'll just say it was gorgeous.
And I think the second thing I'm honestly going to say is,
I can't remember the last time I went to a wedding where I was like, and the next morning,
I remember one of the first things that came top of mind, the dinner.
The food with the, the food was served perfect.
Temperature, delicious, plate curated well, perfect.
It was perfect.
The food was insane.
The food was so good.
I again like I maybe I was expecting was expecting maybe it's like oh it's short rib it's caught
it's it's chicken it's it's just going to be it's just going to be means to like make it was I looked at
Ashley we looked at each other it was like we were like licking our plates by the end of it the food
was incredible and it's it's important to make sure the food is at least up to par because people you
don't want to it's one of the few things people will remember in a negative way but if you can nail it
where it's like a takeaway it's like unbelievable yeah I think food has a much bigger
play to the mass's opinion of a wedding than then you think and uh in meeting with a wedding planner
60% of the cost is usually the food venue and drinks so it's like if that's what you're spending
60% of cost on make it right what do you think what do you think one was from your end
oh tangible thing other way i just think the way i think when people do their vows and do them in
that way like how can you not like
Ashley, love her to death.
She will not public speak.
She was like the person in our vows.
We did the very standard vows.
And she, like, made the officiant say like basically one word at a time.
She was so nervous.
Like I, I, I, Ashley, Ashley, take, take.
I know it's cute and is endearing.
I loved it.
But seeing there and then seeing them stare into each other's eyes
and rehearse these things of, you know,
from the bottoms of our heart.
Like I think that the vows was one of the biggest takeaways for me.
As an intangible,
um, tangible.
I have to go with it because the band was the most electric band
ever and it's the same band that I had at my wedding. Cleveland Keys shout out dueling piano bands
with the guitar, with the sax, with the drums. They are all by request and they make all
songs so fun so nobody leaves a danceful floor. They are incredible and their energy is infectious.
Yeah, they did a great job. Great job. Yeah, perfectly said. Perfectly said. I love it. And everyone
said, you're up next. We're on next. You know you are and yeah. We go to time. We had, we met
with a little update yesterday. We met with a wedding planner we really, really like. So I think
probably by the time we go to sleep tonight, we'll have made a commitment to that wedding planner.
We did meet with a venue today, actually, and got their dates. We really like that venue. So
there's some, there's some fun stuff happening. We also decided, like, I mean, this is probably like six
months ago. Catherine was like, I really want us to do vows. It's important to me. It's one of the first
thing she said. I was like, absolutely. Let's do it. So I'll have to get that all together.
But yeah, man, it's, it's all coming together. And it's, my God, wedding planning. Holy shit.
It is, it's just a full-time job. It's a full-time job. It's a full-time job.
Hockle, who just got married, we'll say it two weeks before. He was texting me being like,
man, this wedding planning thing, I think I'm at my end. Like, I don't even know if this is like going to be
worth it and then he looked at me he was like man was it ever fucking worth it but man it'll
drive you right to that breaking point so you'll have support i'll be here for you if you need anything
but uh yeah a hawks white unreal ears and i mean we'll do a whole episode on it the price of weddings
these holy shit yeah oh my god it's crazy speaking of the price of things other than what let's end
it with here what's going on are you watching any tv you're seeing anything in the news anything that's
like like holy shit you want to do a quick wrap
fire here? Yeah, I mean, a quick piece I would at least speak to is there's just the entire,
the process and cost of our poorer parents that are getting ready to get their kids back to
school. Right now, K through 12 spending this year, 43.3 billion college, 103.5 billion. School supplies
this year are up 8% year over year from last year. That's directly connected. Every economist will
tell you that's directly connected to tariff. So get ready for back to school shopping.
some of the biggest piece of advice I can give you is there are tax-free days. Make sure that,
you know, some of those have already passed, but your state will have tax-free days likely.
Utilize those. And probably the biggest thing I would tell you is that if you can wait,
I remember I used to work at Target in an executive internship program, we would plan months and
months for back-to-school. It's all marketing. It's all premium prices. You wait about a month
after back-to-school. You will get those same items for 50 to 80%. They'll be on the back end
at Target and other retailers. I would say get the necessities that you need for your kid,
but you don't have to get them every single thing. And you can go back to the stores and get those
on discount, especially given the prices are so high. One thing I think we can't not talk about is
traders. One of the biggest shows on TV, NBC, the traders. They have a new blood. It features
22 everyday Americans competing in civilian version of the reality competition series for a prize,
up to $250,000. What do you think about this take on traders bringing in the normal?
I love it. I love it. I think it's going back to the roots. I think it blow up so quickly they were able to bring celebrities in. I think it's a great show. And I are seeing every person we bring on what's one reality show you do. Everyone says traders. I think getting back to the roots and like seeing people that will do anything to be on the show and they've been watching it from their coaches. And so they've been going to have strategies and things. It's going to make for unbelievable competitions. It's going to make for great TV. And I guarantee it's made for a couple people that we'll be talking about for one month, one year, 10 years after the show.
show someone will make a name for themselves for life on the show hot take i think i'm sick of
reality shows and other shows um i'll be honest with you someone that's been part of them and gets
requests to go on them i'm kind of getting sick of familiar faces on reality tv right like it's like
i like i want the story i that's what i miss about the bachelor like the love the true like the love
story that like you get to hear the story you get to see them too many people know too many
things it's like i don't know i'm just like i don't i'm not attracted to those shows anymore and i'm
just not. No, and you can't be. And I think the opportunity is so high that people who are returning
who have been on TV before familiar faces know exactly what they're doing. So, and I'm not saying
people going on the first time, we're all doing all the shows for the right reasons, but at least
at least it's a little closer at the core because they haven't experienced the capabilities of
it before. So yes, I think so. Fresh blood. Here's another hot take too. I want to see this show come
to light. I want to see dancing with the stars with Normies. There are so many great people out there
that can dance, that have unbelievable stories that would connect with us, that deserve this opportunity.
I think of Hawke's mom, right? In her 60s, absolutely beautiful, unbelievable dancer,
unbelievable dancer, just lost her high school sweetheart who she had four kids with and many
grandkids with to unexpected pancreatic cancer. The storytelling is like, it's so pure because it's
so her it's so them it's real like and then she would go and dance with the stars i feel like it would
light up i want dancing with the stars for normies the other thing i want is dancing with the stars
for couples okay i think you take celebrity couples or normal couples and the pro has to teach
them and then they go compete and then you're seeing the couples argue and come together and triumph
and then like all of it you know that's my take it's a great take on that show i love it and then
i can't let you uh move on with
talking about someone who's been on reality TV shows before and I'm talking about
our boy I mean he's been on the podcast enough to call him our boy harry jousy uh let's marry
Harry on Netflix I am pretty uh on it let's just say the first reality TV show I've been
able to die back in in a long time I'm on it I got two episodes left I'll be I'll be finishing
it tonight wow wow I haven't watched a minute yet but I'm I'm is it what's sell me on it
well it's just everything I think the bachelor wants to be in terms of like you know a fun
energetic Woody host who's like making his own drama because he's Harry Jousy and of course he is and
there's some uh the element of his three you know three confidants there who are the people who actually
kick the people off the show then if he saves one he has to kick someone else so there's a little
responsibility a little buy in there he lives with that in the house with them which is kind of chaotic
um and i just think uh you know it's a little more creative they did go on a horseback riding
date the last one and i you know i'm a bit i'm a very anti horseback riding date on on uh reality tv
dating shows. I think we're over that
a little bit. But it's Harry
Jousey's a lead on a dating show like you're telling me
that's not going to be entertaining. Like it's a highly entertaining.
Yeah, I think the biggest thing is he just doesn't
give a shit, right? Like I think he...
But he kind of brings he in
like he does. And he says some things and he shows
some emotion and he admits some things and then
that he's
having sexual interactions
on the second day of the show and it's like
what's Harry. That's sweet. Oh boy.
That's not it. Harry. But
You know, it's his journey, not mine.
So I'm just going to sit there and watch it.
Well, if you guys think we should, maybe we'll bring Harry back on or one of the castmates that come at the end.
And a couple other things is as we wrap here.
Whoa.
Jason, no yawning out of 30 minute Thursdays.
What are you doing?
Tuesdays are always, say Tuesday, days Wednesday.
No, it's Wednesday.
I don't know what today is.
It's just, you know, that's the life I'm living these days.
Anyway, back to the agenda here.
There's a few things I want to talk about overtime, 30 minute Thursdays.
Okay, quick.
There right now are interior designers that are charging $20,000 to do college dorm,
room makeovers.
All I want to know is, are you buying it?
Are you saying goodbye to it, David?
No, I'm buying it.
I think I'm buying it in the sense that I think it's, it's an actual industry.
I'm saying goodbye to it.
I can't believe it's happening, but I'm not going to be here and be like, this is the
dumbest thing ever.
I think people are doing it.
And I'm sorry.
Like, I know we used to decorate the walls with like cardboards of like 30,
racks of beers and like we thought that was cool like we're old though and now this is cool and those dorm rooms
they move in they are ugly and they are gross and if you're 18 years old away and you want to feel
comfortable in your own place i know it may seem absurd like i'm actually for it if you can do it do
it you can't tell me that doesn't have something to a social media the aesthetic the fact that a lot
of that's on video it's no longer taking a thumb pin and putting it in and hanging your hats and
having 12 hats cover your wall times have changed tell you what i also will say so
haven't paid $20,000.
I haven't paid $20,000. I have an interior designer in this house, but people are going to
a dorm room.
I will also say that it plays because, like, you look at people in college who have blown up
on, like, Kyle and Darnel, Alex Earle, Zandra, like, they grew up in college doing Get
Get Ready with Me's.
All of these dorm rooms, well, all the ones I've seen of girls, like, they have this, like,
unbelievable vanity station where it's like, you know they're pumping out getting,
get ready with me's in there because they know what the capabilities are.
Unbelievable.
Did you see the girl who just did one?
She had a little accent.
I said it to the group.
She had six followers,
Jace, six followers.
Posted because she was nervous.
She's like, I'm just trying to get my confidence up and I think this will do it.
No one's going to see this anyways.
Like, I only have six followers.
Jay, she has 400,000 followers three days later.
That's insane.
It was just insane.
So, you never know.
Rachel Mansfield, just do it.
It will empower all.
It will empower all.
Rachel Mansfield, just do it.
Thank you for tuning into another episode, Triggs.
It's one. Hopefully you couldn't afford it.
