I got the one and only David Ardenwin with me.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Ooh, Dave, a lot of action on this episode. We got Stephanie Shoggi. I mean, you heard all about it. She gets to her vacation. robbers come in, take $200,000 worth of stuff from her. She has no insurance. That's how we kick this thing off. A lot of action. Obviously, we talked with the Shoma Group, billion, billion dollars in real estate transactions,
Starting point is 00:02:01 a real housewife. We talked pre-nubs. I mean, I don't know what we didn't hit up in this episode, but my gosh, was there a lot of action? David Arnoe, and how are we doing? Welcome to 30-minute Thursdays. We're doing good. How are you, Jay? First off, I know we're going to get into it here, but why don't you tell the people at home how you are doing?
Starting point is 00:02:22 Oh, there he goes. That's my guy right there. Let's just go right from the rip. All right. Well, I had a doc appointment today for anyone that doesn't know, not the best with needles and such. I hate the doctor's office. So I decided to take Xanax, excuse me, which I am prescribed. right so like four of these instances otherwise my blood pressure is just like off the charts i just have i've had bad white coat syndrome for a long time and i knew i'd get a lot of blood work done so i'd been fasting all day and my appointment was at 3 30 345 something like that and i fast all day haven't eaten anything had a like dinner last night took a about a full xanax yeah about a full zanx and i got to doc shows i'm like i feel nothing. Like this is like I'm not even, I'm not even nothing. And I do the blood work and they're drawn a lot of it. And I was fine though. Wasn't worried at all. Got back, had to fast all day. So stuffed my face because I just haven't eaten since, you know, six, seven p.m. last night. Boy,
Starting point is 00:03:29 boy, I fell asleep. Catherine's got her friends over here for her birthday thing. She's like, I'll wake you up in a little bit. They got yabbing. She forgot. She just woke me up. I don't even. I am so out of it right now. I am 45 minutes late to this podcast, never done that before. I, it's 7 p.m. 7. 30. I don't even know what I'm doing. I actually am shocked at that intro. Like, that intro was absolutely unbelievable at the fact I feel the way I feel right now. I got me honest, I feel pretty good. Yeah, you feel something right now. That was, listen, that intro had me on the floor because I didn't know where it came from. It was, like a ghost got inside your body and just started speaking for you.
Starting point is 00:04:14 It was, it was good. It was electric. It went with the episode, which was also electric. But yeah, you, uh, people at home, I hope you, I hope we get a clip of this. My, my guy's out of it right now. Oh, oh, I'm in, yeah, I'm in a different stratosphere
Starting point is 00:04:28 right now, but I feel like, this is one of those episodes where, you know, when people like come out out of like anesthesia and they get asked the questions. I feel like I should just be peppering you questions. right now. I'm not the kind of guy that wakes up, groggy and like cancel something. I literally just
Starting point is 00:04:46 got up five minutes out of this anesthesia sleep and I'm like, I don't know if I could do this, but you know what? Here we are. 30 minute Thursdays goes out a little different today. I was going to come on and tell you how tired I was that I'm not even close. Crush the blood. I felt like such a loser getting blood. This nurse is taking the blood from me, right? And she's like, she's like 22 or something, right? And I'm like, oh, sorry, I get nervous with this stuff. And she's like, oh, this is nothing. You kidding me? I'm a hunter. I hunt my deer. I cook my deer. I do it all. It's like I'm like a surgeon. I do the guts and everything. I'm like, wow. And here I am like, whining about a blood test. Anybody else out there got white coat syndrome? I've had it since third grade.
Starting point is 00:05:34 I remember the first time it hit me. I went to the doctor and I had to get blood work. And I remember, my mom said to me. She said, I'm going to get you. This is how fucking old I am. She goes, I will let you rent a game from Blockbuster for Super Nintendo. If you do okay with this blood test. I remember thinking I'm at him like a blunt. Okay, sure. So I was like, okay, mom, but I'm nervous. Like, I was worried about this in my head. I was like, this is nothing. And I did the blood work. I'm like, oh, mom, that was hard. And she's like, well, don't worry. We're going to rent the game. And I rented a game in my head. I was like, that was the easiest thing ever. Well, the next time I did it, I got up and I hit the deck, like passed out. And I didn't know what passed out was a third grade.
Starting point is 00:06:18 And so ever since then, I've still continued to have a little white coat syndrome. My fourth grade hepatitis B shot, I lied to the to the nurse at school and told her that I already had got it done on my own. And my parents found out in like ninth grade that I hadn't got it and I had to go to the doctor and get like 14 shots that I've been lying about my whole school career. Wait, you're not a shock guy? No, no, Jason. You asked me to go to the doctors every week on the show.
Starting point is 00:06:43 And there's also a reason why I have. And I hate needles. Ah, interesting. I remember hepatitis A, B, and C or B and so we'd be like three of them in seventh grade. And I would count down the days. Like in my brain, I knew every day leading up to it like 50 days because I just hate, hey, hate, hate, hate shots.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Well, you're here. You're a lot. I hope the blood work wasn't for anything concerning. Was it just a checkup? Was it just something we needed it for? Can you share with the people or no? You're just, you're just kidding.
Starting point is 00:07:17 I'm at that stage of my life now where I go into the doctor's office and I literally bring like a, it's like Chris Kringle from like he's Santa Claus and I bring in a huge list of like everything I want to review. And I just go over. everything. And he's like, I don't think you need that, but I'm like, do it. I do it, do it. I'm just like, look at everything. I got, what else did I do today? Oh, semen analysis. Oh, yeah, I want to get a seaman analysis. He's like, see what's 37? I got only healthy things here. Like, I don't
Starting point is 00:07:54 know what? Yeah, this isn't, you know, are you so you're trying right now? I'm like, no, not yet, but like, suit. And he's like, okay. I mean, listen, you want me to do it? I'm going to do it. I just went in there just like give me, do it all. Test every thing, do everything. I just want to walk out of there being like, all right, I know everything happened into my body. Well, I won't go into detail about the semen analysis process.
Starting point is 00:08:16 We'll keep those for the. I didn't do that. I just got the referral. You just know, I didn't need a referral. So I went in there. I was like referral galora. I wouldn't do that with you.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I wouldn't do that with your hand while you're talking about me. I was like, I want a referral for everything. Because what these days with, God, doctor's office. Shit's a mess. And then my health insurance wasn't accepted by them. So everything, trading secrets, everything private pay.
Starting point is 00:08:41 We are just at a CEO, United Healthcare Insurance CEO coming on. So I just got absolutely raked over the coals at the, you know, at the office. But yeah, that's that. Feeling good. That's the start of 30 minutes Thursdays. Oh, yeah. I will say the episode of Stephanie was almost electric as that first five minutes of 30 mean Thursdays.
Starting point is 00:09:05 The fact that we're starting off with your Xanax story, the doctor and she started off with getting robbed at her villa, might I add that we're being a little more dramatic about your Xanaic experience than she was about her getting robbed experience? She was fairly casual about the whole thing. And she didn't have insurance. I was just like, wow. I don't think I've ever seen someone take a loss that well.
Starting point is 00:09:26 200KA, no insurance, didn't meet her threshold. People in the house, security, family in the house while it happened. And with Terra Pippet, right? Yeah. And she was still in the house when you, when you record with her. She was still on vacation. Was she not? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:42 She said, she's like, I got to be honest, Jason. It takes a lot for me to do this on vacation. But she knew the show and she was like very complimentary of the show. But yeah, she was literally on vacation and just took it. And I was like, remember, you heard me. I'm like, it had to be an inside job. She's like, it had to be. But I couldn't believe how composed she was.
Starting point is 00:10:02 200 grand i mean dude that's a lot of money so besides the money it's the it's the feeling of being like violated your space being violated so in being your space have you ever gotten anything stolen for me oh yeah i had my car stolen for me oh yeah um in rochester it was completely gutted i got i got mugged once in europe uh when i was on a train with my uncle and they faked that we like didn't have the right tickets and they're like give me all the money i got my gosh shit i think that's about it though I got my golf club stolen one time out of the back of a pickup truck. How?
Starting point is 00:10:37 And I just went into McDonald's, shocker, me going into McDonald's quick after a round, come back out and golf clubs are gone out of the back of a pickup truck. I had to fast for this stupid blood test, so I haven't eaten in a long time. I've been eating pretty healthy lately.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Down to once, I think I told you the last time I saw you, I probably lost seven pounds since then. I went to rent to McDonald's after this, all that blood work. Yeah, you got to do it. Yeah, if it even comes back where I got to, like, change everything. I'm like, well, might as well enjoy it now before I get any news.
Starting point is 00:11:09 I also had my apartment in Geneseo get broken into, and it was really a weird experience. They'd stole a lot of shit. What did they take? Like a laptop. They took a couple, like, nice. Like my necklace I got from my confirmation, which was like 18-car gold from Italy. They took some other stuff, but it was just a weird experience being in the meadows and Geneseo. And I remember after I noticed all the shit got stolen.
Starting point is 00:11:31 I was freaked out anyways. I got my room and I got in bed and like turned on the TV and the TV didn't work. And I went and saw they'd like unplug the TV. So they probably were planning on taking it. Just like the feeling of like, oh shit, they know I have this nice TV. Are they going to come back? Like I was freaked to fuck out. That's, uh, that's kind of crazy.
Starting point is 00:11:48 So anyway, the Lindsay Clancy case. Are you watching this? The Lindsay Clancy thing has been on my TikTok so much that I think I tried to like scroll past it the first 20 times it came up. because like I'm not a true crime guy, but I will be, but like I get really invested. And that thing just keeps coming around and around. And now I'm locked in. Lindsay Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse from Duxbury, Massachusetts is on trial for first degree murder after strangling her through.
Starting point is 00:12:16 So, strangling her three young children, Cora Dawson and Callahan with exercise bans on January 24th, 2023. After the killing, she attempted suicide by jumping from the second story window leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Of course, she was trying to kill herself. She pleaded not guilty. The core conflict here. This is a quick summary I looked for. The defense. They do not dispute that Lindsay killed her children, but they argue that she is not criminally responsible because of reason of insanity.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Her lawyers state that she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis, bipolar disorder, in over-medication, which causes her to hear voices telling her to kill her children and herself. The defense shows in this case, like, it's countless amount of times. Lindsay Clancy had been begging and pleading for treatment. Like, please, I am losing my mind. Doctor after doctor after doctor. Cocktail of drugs after cocktail of drugs. Her telling her doctors and professionals these drugs are not working.
Starting point is 00:13:24 It is getting worse. It's getting worse. prosecution's arguing that Lindsay acted rationally intentionally and with premeditation. This is all really about the fact that was she under a state of psychosis when this happened? And her attorney, Reddington, has been pretty close to perfect in this case, where the prosecution has been the definition of very, very, very far from perfect in this case. and it has been just a whole, whole lot of action. If convicted of murder, she'll face life in prison without parole. If acquitted by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, she'll be committed to a state mental health facility.
Starting point is 00:14:10 But every single day, social media is opening new conversations, given the trial, given who's on the stand, given the things that are happening. and it's got to be the wildest case I think we've ever seen. And I think it's touching a lot of people in the relatability of a few things. One, postpartum and the impact that has on mental health, maybe the negligence of mental health system that we currently have, place in the United States to take some of these cries for help more seriously. And it's just taking over the country in a very polarizing way. It is such a, such a sad story at the core.
Starting point is 00:15:07 But my God, it has been wild, wild to follow. It's definitely a crazy story. I feel like we've seen a ton of crazy stories. I think there's a ton of them out there. They're all fascinating. sometimes for all the wrong reasons. I think of like the Gabby Petito case though in terms of like social media really like wanting to figure out what happened isn't like stopping and they're really weighing in and having
Starting point is 00:15:32 I don't know if they're having influence on the case itself but they're having a ton of influence on the attention that it's getting. Do you think not to put you on the spot any chance that he did it that the ex-husband did it? The husband did it? From what I've seen there's a lot of question marks. There's a lot of things. Oh yeah. That don't make sense.
Starting point is 00:15:52 I mean, from, I mean, the list is of question marks is endless. Everything from what the investigator described the room to look like when he walked in the room versus what he described. There's a lot of someone's not telling the truth somewhere. Like timeline, different clothes, a different CBS versus. The emails, the mails, the Google searches that were done. Her body temperature, how long she was out there for relative to the timeline. It's pretty interesting. Pretty interesting.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Yeah, I mean, it was. How did we get from, I guess Stephanie getting robbed in her villa to lend to the Clancy case. But I guess that's how it's because we're talking about bad people, bad guys, intruders, true crime, mysteries. True crime, mysteries. I mean, it's just crazy. But yeah, the whole Clancy case is, it's absolutely wild. We'll be all following closely, I feel like. True crime.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Yeah, I'm a big true crime guy. Did you know Stephanie before this podcast? You ever met her? I did not. I did not know Stephanie before a podcast. But the interview was, yeah, it was just fascinating. You know what line kind of stuck up with me that she said? What was it?
Starting point is 00:17:11 It was ambitious woman or perceived different than ambitious men. And I'm definitely guilty of that sometimes, I think. I remember back when we had Rich BFF off the first time I got, roasted in the comments because I was like, you know, she works too hard. She needs to like stop and smell the roses. Like she needs to just and then you have more of these super successful, determined
Starting point is 00:17:30 hardworking women. And like, I think she's right because this woman is a absolute powerhouse. Like almost extremely intimidating at how intense she is at her pursuit for success. I mean, she was pretty
Starting point is 00:17:46 open about things, whether it be material things or non-material things. that she is not stopping until she said she's on a deathbed. She's talking about wanting his or her plane, the super yachts. Like this is, she was pretty, probably the most outspoken person we've ever had on that is like demanding her life forever be all about wealth. And that was pretty insane. Yeah, I agree with that.
Starting point is 00:18:13 I mean, and respectfully, boy, oh boy, did you get the your rich BFF one wrong. She goes last three years, she has just skyrocketed on the bag, not it perfectly. No, but you're right. This one was, I mean, almost to the point where you're like exhausted by it. You're like, it's wild that this is how you operate, but it's also like, hey, clearly it's working. Like, you know what I mean? Whatever you're doing is working.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Even the assistant story, her talking about hiring the assistant. And she's like, no, no, if you're with me, we're going to. on 24, you know, every single day, all day, you're in or you're out. And the assistant chose like, no, like, this isn't the life that I want. So one of the things you got to give her is clarity. Like, oh, yeah. How many people in life don't know what they want? How many people are just so lost day to day. She knows what she's want. She knows what she wants. And I think for anybody that's listening at home, it's like, okay, how do I relate to this? I guess who gives a shit, who judges your clarity? of what you want out of life,
Starting point is 00:19:22 I think you got to find it. Like, she clearly found it. And I think people will listen to this podcast and judge her. I think other people listen to it and want to learn from her. And so you got to give her respect for just being like, yeah, I'm just going to, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:37 I'm just going to see. I like the quote that she had about, like, having a small circle. And like, she's like, talk about like, I have goals.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Like when I'm in work mode, I don't, I can't give my friends 10 minutes of my work day because they're having boy problems. Like, unless it's a level 10 emergency, she's like, I have goals. I can't slow down for these people. And that's the clarity that sometimes you need to get what you want out of life. Because how many people, I'm guilty of this, I want certain things out of life,
Starting point is 00:20:04 but I don't have the checks and balances maybe that I need to focus on the things I need to focus on to get that feeling that I need or want in that moment. And I think that I give her a lot of credit for kind of having that figured out a little bit. It was pretty, the friend's thing is wild, too. I don't think we can pass over that. I mean, her just being like, she puts no, she's like, I don't have a circle. I don't have friends. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:30 I have my work. I got my family. That's it. It's all I know. And part of that is sad. And the other part of that's like, I kind of respect it. Like you, you know, you just know what you want and you don't want anything to get in the way. And there's part of me that's like, okay.
Starting point is 00:20:47 At least, at least you know that. Well, I think, too, like a little bit of old school was nice to see, too, or she was like, oh, my leadership style, yeah, I'll throw in the pool and watch if you sink or swim. I'm not going to throw you a floaty. I'm not going to throw you a device. I want you to go home. I want you to think about it. And if it's not for you, don't come back.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Like her talking about, like, having the ick that, like, someone walks slow and, like, she fired someone for walking slow. I'm like, you, you, hear you. Listen, maybe that's how you have to be over successful is, like, you just find someone who operates under the, like, as soon as they find something I don't like. I'm going to move on from them. I can't imagine the type of turnover you may get from that. But finding someone that works is great. And her trading secret at the end, I also love because she humanized it.
Starting point is 00:21:32 She went back from all this money stuff. And she went to relationship advice and said, never go to bed, angry, which I is something Ashley and I have lived by our entire relationship. I couldn't agree more with her treating secret and how important it is to a successful and happy relationship. Yeah, I think she nailed that trading secret. it. I just think the best thing about this episode is everything you heard. You get some people
Starting point is 00:21:55 come on that bullshit a little bit. Yeah. It was just that was everything she said, I believe her. I believe that everything she said is true. And I believe that she lives by it. I believe she dies from it. I believe that this is how she is and this is who she is. And she's unapologetically her. And it does feel like people that know that with such certainty are the people in this world that are really, really, really finding success, whatever that looks like. And I think there's something to take away from that of when the more clarity you have out of what you want and the more you feel like I'm going to do what it takes to do that. There's, there's some truth to that. But I think there's, to me, there's also more areas of life to manage. And I think having a good balance with that's great.
Starting point is 00:22:41 We talked about it last week, like with hawks wedding and stuff, just this past weekend being at the Jim Kelly tournament with my dad and being in Buffalo. You know, I got no work done. I mean, when I'm with my dad, he's not a big phone guy. He's not on his phone a lot. So I'm not on my phone with him. And I don't get any work done. But like that fills up such a bucket of my life that makes me so happy.
Starting point is 00:23:02 And then the work stuff, I'll have to work a little bit harder during the week to come back from that and go from there. So it is what it is. It is. And sometimes when we try to pee so many things, like we feel like we maybe don't get ahead in the things that we need to get ahead in, I can respect. I'm done judging people. or I make you comments on people who work too hard. If that's what they want to do, if that's what finds them fulfills their buckets
Starting point is 00:23:24 and makes them happy, then good for them. And they'll probably be more successful in terms of how we view success than the people who have kids or prioritize different things or prioritize a family or vacationing or sports or relaxation or whatever.
Starting point is 00:23:38 So to each their own in that sense. And just know that if you're listening to this, life's hard. No matter what you're doing, life's hard. Just do it the way you want to do it. Do it the way you want to do it. And it's a great segment. to our guest next week, which is Scott Clary, host of the Success Podcast, where he defines success.
Starting point is 00:23:55 And like, he talks all about what is success. And so that definition is different to all of us. And he breaks into that. That's next week. I got to tell you, we got a lot of great, great episodes coming up. I interviewed a guy today, wild story, 15 years old. He is, has a gun and hands ski mask. He is robbing a convenience store. One of the many, many robberies he was part of at 15 and he talks about how he got caught of 15 and how he got caught and going to prison and all this stuff and the way that he has changed his life in 30 years it's cr I mean this guy has written set 16 different books he's in the public speaking hall of fame I mean it's it's crazy so really really cool guess guys that probably names you haven't heard of which is what we're trying to
Starting point is 00:24:41 do we're trying to bring those people of pop culture relevance to you but we're also trying to bring names and stories to you where who no matter what it is or what you do or how you do it, you can learn from it. And so that's what we do at Trading Secrets. That's what we are trying to do. Anything else from the Stephanie podcast, David? No, that wraps up the Stephanie podcast. She was wonderful.
Starting point is 00:25:00 She's going to keep crushing it. She's going to keep living her life the way that she wants it. She was great. She's a great guest. She seemed for you again, pretty cool feeling. She's on vacation. This comes across her table. She's got people calling her being like, no matter what you're doing, you've got to take
Starting point is 00:25:13 this podcast. You've got to do it. Like, pretty cool feeling. That's fun. I mean, there's, you know, that stuff doesn't, get me excited. What gets me excited is she's like, I've listened to your podcast. I know your podcast. I'm a fan of what you're doing and this is really cool. Or like that episode I just told you about and that guy just flew in from Miami to Nashville to come on my podcast today. And that's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:25:35 And yeah, there's some good shit happening. There's also a lot happening out there in the world. That's crazy. We know about the Lindsay Clancy case. We will be staying very close to that. And we'll talk a little bit more about that next Thursday. Right now, the U.S. debt tops a record shattering $40 trillion. So debt in the U.S. is really, really pushing all-time highs. Our current fiscal trajectory is plainly unsustainable. And that's the best case scenario, said Margaret Spelling's president of the bipartisan policy center, even in the rosiest scenarios, we're speeding toward a cliff and refusing to turn the wheel.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I just can't help to laugh. I mean, these are pretty dangerous, scary things you're saying. And then you say 40 trillion. Like, to me, it's just like that's, what does that even mean? Like, what does it even mean? What are we talking about? 40 trillion. We're never going out of $40 trillion in debt.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Not even Steph Soji was in charge of our work in her whole life to get rid of it. We're not getting rid of it. So what do we talk about here? We are just talking about the fact we hope that markets continue to sustain and thrive because, boy, oh, boy, it would be ugly if they didn't. They read something recently how some of the credit cards are getting a little bit more strict because they're of late payments and they're reducing their limits and even closing cards on the spot and or requiring more information like income statements and like that
Starting point is 00:26:58 for those who have big lines out there. And there's some connection out there to the fact that the last time it happened at this level was 2008. So what we really, really want is to avoid any kind of pullback. There's also another, we've been on this podcast, I've about it often. The other side of This argument is the markets are trading at all-time highs. Corporations are ripping out earnings left and right. So it's an interesting time. My advice, just control what you can control because we all have different financial scenarios.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Have you seen that Penn State frat, cocaine, massive drug ring that just got busted? Oh, yeah. It's wild. We got a post coming about it tomorrow on Trading Secrets. It's coming, yeah. I mean, if you think about some of the posts that we have, had lately coming out on trading secrets.
Starting point is 00:27:47 I'm just electric, but I'm just reading these and I'm like, what actually is like this, we are living in a one absolutely wild world. If you follow us on trading secrets, you'll see, but tomorrow an alleged Penn State cocaine kingpin dubbed
Starting point is 00:28:03 Pablo Pledgecovar turned himself in. It was denied bailed after 14 people were charging a fraternity linked drug ring. One witness claims they paid him $150,000 for cocaine. That is in college. That just came out. And another one that we posted today, University of Michigan will drop grades for the first semester freshman next year in an effort to curb the mental health crisis unfolding among college age
Starting point is 00:28:33 individuals. You know, it was funny yesterday. I had a dinner. And I had a dinner with a creator by the name of Adley Kinsman, who does, it has done billions of views per month on her social media pages. She's known for making viral content. I'm definitely going to have her on the podcast. And then we also had at this table was the Daily Nellie. You should go give her a follow. If you haven't, her name is Janelle. She's amazing. She does unbelievable content as well. We said, what do you think life looks like in five to ten years? And they all like froze. So I don't know how to answer that question. It might be to the point where like this becomes a farm and we are all working for ourselves and sustaining for ourselves because the speed at which things are moving right now just with AI and life and change.
Starting point is 00:29:26 It is. It's just a lot. There's just a lot happening at a very, very fast pace right now. Yeah, it is. It's terrifying. Any comments on that or no? Which one? The like predicting and five.
Starting point is 00:29:38 One of the things that I think is like in the five years, like five years. from now with the speed at which social media is moving. I think it's just going to be so antics. This idea of like to capture a moment, I have to like have my phone out and my arm straight and like get it. We often have our phones out. I think that's going to be gone. I think it's going to be a lot of live.
Starting point is 00:29:56 I was like, I think what's going to happen is like this whole dinner table here, if we all opt in like everything's recorded. It's all live. Like I think that's how to go, which is terrified. Yeah, black mirror stuff. Black mirror. Oh, yeah. That's going to be it.
Starting point is 00:30:10 everything that was, it's like desensitizing. It's like everything that was absurd. It's just going to be a reality. You know, the one thing I will say, I hold on hope to is like when we were growing up, remember the show the Jetsons.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Oh, yeah. So everyone's like, oh, it's going to, like, the year 2000, like flying cars,
Starting point is 00:30:25 Jetsons, like we don't have flying cars yet. So, like, until we have flying cars, like, I have hope that like we're not going to go too far off the deep end here. But,
Starting point is 00:30:34 yeah, no, it's scary, man, it's really scary. You got kids, wait until you and Catherine have kids, and you got kids start growing up, they're going to school.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Like, yeah, it's like how much longer can they learn the, the normal curriculum? Like, how long, when will Pythagorean theory and finally just get kicked out of fucking school
Starting point is 00:30:50 because it has no relevancy. It didn't 20 years ago, and it still doesn't today. So that's interesting stuff. But yeah, I mean, you got that, you got Michigan not offering grades
Starting point is 00:31:00 to first semester freshman, like how hard would your bender be if you didn't have to have grades your first semester of college? Oh, I don't know. We actually brought up at the tables yesterday. We're like, does it make sense to go to college?
Starting point is 00:31:14 Like, what is college doing right now? Like, yeah, Pythagrae theorem. A squared plus B squared equals C squared. When the hell am I using that? When the hell does it mean like the rules for a right triangle? Like, why do I need to know the rules of a right triangle ever again? Like, why? Like, what are we doing?
Starting point is 00:31:33 I don't know. It's a crazy world. And then I'm going to be stories coming into. 30 minute Thursdays that Tom Holland's going to make a hundred million dollars playing Spider-Man. Like what? $100 million he's going to make playing Spider-Man? What is college even doing? What is it?
Starting point is 00:31:51 You say that's a funny. What is college even doing? It's a social experiment. Like without the social department of college, there is not one, there is not one thing I learned in college. I learned themes, right? I guess I learned how to think and write and speak and read and tell stories. I learned how to become an adult
Starting point is 00:32:09 But like Independence Time management Take care of your own shit It's just crazy And now with Chad GPT And Claude and everything else Like where we can learn things
Starting point is 00:32:20 By the second Like I think college in trouble But do you think that people were saying that about us Like oh these guys just go on the internet They just Google everything They just Google And they can just Google things And they get other questions
Starting point is 00:32:33 And we had Spark notes and we had, what else did we have? We had some other things there that we could take advantage of. Yeah. Yeah, like we did. But, oh, man, it's so different. This is a deep conversation for a guy coming off some Zandex. By the way, my Zanx is all prescribed.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I only get 30 a year. I'll probably only take 10. But you guys caught me on the day that I got it. I was a good real housewives, though. But if we did like a year-in review, I bet you'll be a couple clips that would make the year-in review and have us cackling at the end of it. So always a fun adventure. Welcome to our real lives.
