Back to another episode of Trading Secrets.
30-minute Thursday.
David, we are back to back.
in the top 50 of business episodes on this little Robin dance we're on.
Not Batman, but Robin.
And here we go.
30 minute Thursdays.
We break down everything happening in the last week.
What impacts your wallets, pop culture, life, our podcast from this week, all the moving parts.
David, before we get into the Andrew and Alex episode, the Bachelor Nation stars, how the hell you doing?
I'm doing pretty good.
I think I'm doing pretty good.
Stay in the float here.
my son had his first week of school last week, came home, house sick for the full week.
And all the parents were warning me once your kid goes to school.
That's what happened.
So we've been battling here a little bit with that.
But overall, like you said, we're back in the hot seat, back to back top 50 weeks on the business episodes.
A lot of business being talking on Trading Secrets, 30 minute Thursdays.
Look at us go.
Look at us go.
Look at us go.
There's a whole lot of action.
Let me tell you real quick, this is the first time you've ever dropped Carter off to a school?
Is it daycare? Is it school? What is it? Give me the vibe.
We're school. We're pre-K-3. We're private Catholic pre-K-3, two days a week, full, full days,
815 to 2.30. Yeah, dropping them off for the first day. Wild parenting experience,
beautiful parenting experience. And he's loving school. We just can't wait to get him back there tomorrow.
Wow. Okay. Well, we love that. Good for him. I'm sorry that you guys are sick.
But those things happen when you got kids.
And, you know, life is good.
You got two.
You think we'll actually three maybe, no.
Well, if we're in the spirit of sharing information,
I was supposed to have a procedure at 8 a.m.
this morning to make sure I never had kids again.
If you know what, if you know you know, my doctor called at 8 p.m. last night and said,
hey, personal emergency, I got to reschedule you.
So that's kind of where we're at with that.
Now I got booted two months.
So hopefully in two months, knock on.
would knock knock we we we we don't we don't add to the to the to the to the household in the
two months why did uh why do you did he not it seems weird for someone to cancel day up personal
emergency it's all i got he actually left the voicemail and then by the time i called back it wasn't
there so i had to call the office today so i was like i was finally jay i've had a really
busy busy stressful week of work which happens and i was actually like totally at peace with getting it done
because I was like, I can't wait to just lay on the couch for three days and not move
because you can't move an inch for three days after.
Were you nervous at all?
No.
I consulted enough people to know that it's fairly routine and it's pretty quick.
They don't put you under or anything.
It's like 15 minutes in and out and like, yeah, it's kind of crazy.
Yeah, exactly.
And the best argument, I mean, compared to what women have to go through, it's a fun.
Sign me out.
Yeah.
Sign me up.
It's just a little drop of the ocean.
Correct.
Three, three days, you do deal with it.
And I'm sorry, you got booted, but hey, you know, it's all good.
Good luck.
I hope, I hope, you know.
Damn, maybe, yeah, yeah, be careful.
Everything happens for a reason, my man.
But we'll see.
We'll do our best.
We'll do our best.
We did pretty good for 35 years avoiding it.
So we're going to keep fighting the good fight here.
We might have to get a Trojan sponsor in the next two months.
Something.
Jay, listen, did I tell you, I got, I got.
I got my how do you do is tested.
Oh, yeah.
How was that?
We're good?
You could go, we're good.
We're good.
Like everything, everything, you know, they measure pretty much like everything, A to Z.
They also tell you to be, you know, they tell you to be to not.
EG.
I can't.
They tell you not to have sex within a two to five days.
I forgot that rule.
Okay.
I had sex within 24 hours.
So we, you know,
odds were working against us, but I got tested and it's good.
It's all every single thing right down the middle, all above schedule.
So that's, you know,
congrats on,
congrats on the sex and congrats on the, yes, the high,
the high hat of you do is there.
So that's, uh,
congrats on 60 more days of wearing a condom.
Yeah, exactly.
And that's okay.
You know, we'll,
we'll battle here.
So no,
everything's good.
Honestly, everything's good.
We're moving into the weekend.
We're feeling good.
Houses are getting back to it.
And, uh, yeah,
we're rolling down hill with life here.
It's a beautiful.
thing it's a great way to open up 30 minute Thursday a little personal why me i don't know that's why we do 30
minutes thursdays you know to show the sides of us we wouldn't see when i'm interviewing a CEO or
billionaire reality correct all right well here we go trojan if you're out there we'll take a sponsorship
david will get to some of my personal updates at the end of this episode but before we get into those
things uh andrew alex bachelor nation bachelor at bachelor bachelor bachelor in paradise a lot of action there
talk to me what did you think of the episode any curiosity
that you are wondering.
Well, you know, it was a really good episode to have both of them on.
I've seen a lot of them on social media.
I didn't,
I got to know her obviously at a deeper level.
We've had Andrew on before.
He's always hilarious.
He's probably the one of your friends from Bachelor Nation,
him and Justin,
that I've never met and spent time with.
And I would love to because I just know that I would just be there,
like a little jealous that I'm not the funniest person in the room,
which I feel like I am sometimes.
But this is like, okay,
like I can grab my popcorn and be ready.
But, uh, you guys went through a lot.
lot, which was, again, like you talked to reality TV, their experiences, your experience,
a lot of similarities there.
You know, we got into some finance, some debt, some, some earning, some things
like of that nature, which is really good.
So I thought it was overall a really good episode.
Any curiosities?
I mean, first of all, good call out on Justin and Andrew.
They are awesome.
Also, Alex is hilarious, too.
Got to know her a little bit after we did an event with Storm, which was such a blast.
She's so funny, too.
Any curiosities or any, like, big takeaways or things you want to ask me?
I have a couple curiosities.
Number one, how much harder is it as a host to interview two people instead of one?
It can be really, really hard.
They made it easy, but in general, it's much more challenging.
Do you find that you're more like going with the flow of like trying to let both of them speak
and then maybe the questions that you had lined up don't happen as organically as easy?
because you're navigating it because as a listener sometimes,
it's a lot less of heat like,
like how am I supposed to say this?
It's a lot less of like clear cutoffs and asks
and transitions to question.
It's more a little more chaotic.
And I feel as a host, it must be like,
okay, I gotta get control of this thing at some point
to make sure that we're spending the hour efficiently.
Yes, it is.
It's much more chaotic and going many more directions.
It also leads,
itself to open up like relationship you hear things you wouldn't have otherwise heard like when
they disagree or like oh well that's not what i mean or we just had a serious talk sunday so you get to
hear both perspectives so there's good and there's bad with it the things i think a good question though is
like what are things i wanted to achieve in this episode right things i wanted to do is like understand
the relationship status understand if she left her job and why how she's feeling about bachelor nation
couldn't ignore the state of bachelor nation i was very curious how his earnings are doing now they've
more than doubled, $200,000 to $400,000. And I was just curious about this concept of winning
$250,000, which then went to $125,000, how they like kind of navigated that and where they stand
with love and money because on AI, it said that it was a struggle for them. So a lot of this
talking points I wanted to get to, I got to. The problems is you just don't get to the depths that
you would like to when you only have 60 minutes and there's two people and you have to be respectful
to make sure you ask both of them equal amount of questions. And I thought you did a
great job with that because if that was your intent we got it all i'm nodding my head over here like okay
we hit that we hit that we hit that i will say you and i have talked a lot about the state of of bachelor
nation and i think maybe we've been harsh critical uh i thought we've tried a bit innovative with ways to
change it i actually loved his take because it was a little it was refreshing because it was simple
uh i loved how we said it's the blueprint of the show bachelor nation people are still everywhere
Every reality show you turn on someone from Bachelor Nation is still there.
So the fan base is still there.
The name, the branding.
It's still a relative.
It's still important.
It's still the longest tenured show.
My interesting point that I think it was touched on.
But Jay, do you think that when it comes back, the biggest thing that will contribute to its overwhelming success, if it's successful, is the fact that it's just been gone for a long time, not by design?
It's just been gone for a long time.
the Taylor Frankie Paul season got canceled, right?
We've been waiting.
We haven't had a Bachelor in Paradise.
It won't be on our screens for two, I feel like almost three years.
Do you think just like, oh, my God, the Bachelor's back and people are just starving for it
because maybe we're sick of some shows is the biggest contribution to the reason that it may have success?
It could.
If it's marketed well, like, you know, like we saw obviously Chris Harrison's marketing advertisement for the vow was a big success.
that got a lot of attention.
So if they come back strong with like, we're back, watch out, I think it could be huge.
I will tell you, man, people we posted about this last, this week with Andrew and Alex about
Bastra Nation and what's going on and him being, us both being very optimistic.
I'll tell you what, there's some people that just don't agree.
Here's some of the comments.
Bachelor nation, it's so predictable.
At this point, everyone's doing it to become an influencer.
They're not there for the real reason.
Bring back Golden Bachelor.
At least they want to find their person.
comment. I don't agree. It's never going away. I think it's run its course. It's so predictable now.
We've seen it all and nobody can invest in the outcome because it'll simply change shortly after and
social media influencers are born. It's dead. The new thing will be the vow.
Wow. That's 17. I hate to break it to you. The Bachelor is gone is good.
Until ABC actually respects the people who they cast and allow them to do press to promote the show
and not micromanage them to death. The show, it will be left in the dust behind Love Island.
That's weird. That's almost like a troll that used to be Bachelor nation.
Where'd that come from?
Bachelor Nation had a very long-term success.
Unfortunately, the good guys would go to Bachelor.
Bachelor Nation had very, very few long-term success.
Unfortunately, the good guys would go to Bachelorette.
They would do spin-offs, Dances and Stars Island.
Something needs to be changed within no dishear.
I love JT, Joe, Joey, Tyler, et cetera.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of people are disagreeing with that.
So, yeah, there's a lot of people that just,
I think it's gone and good.
I think it'll come back.
Obviously, we talked about it.
It's always good to have that conversation.
But there's also, you know, that one topic we talked about,
which I think is a fascinating topic.
People are getting married later.
People are becoming extremely, financially, professionally,
and just routinely so independent.
And I think some of these conversations they had about where should we move
and what should it look like and how should it look like.
And when are we ready for it?
I think these are going to be come conversations that are so, so much more prevalent to the next
generation and those that continue to get married later.
100%.
I think that that is just, you can't argue that.
I think that's fact in our society today.
It was interesting to hear them, you know, a two-on-one segment of them talking about those
things that they want to accomplish and sound like they will accomplish, but almost like
someone would give their answer, then the other person would also.
answer the question in their form, but even though it's like a slight disagreement, but they're
making sure that like they say their part on the question that was answered. And I'm like,
are these two trying to get their point across of where they're at or how they both
independently feel about this, even though they're slightly different. So it'll be interesting to
see how a lot of these things play out. They seem very much in love. They seem very, very happy.
I will say his take on pre-nup and money and tying it to his upbringing and divorce was really
interesting because I just feel when you talk about those things you can until those happen and you
experience how and why they happen it's one thing it's so much easier said than done they're like
oh no if we're happy to get divorced I'll be amicable I'll always be amicable oh I will never take
or be greedy or this it's like if you're getting divorced something happened and there may be reasons
you can never foresee and I just feel like it's one of those things that's why pre-nex is this where it's
like easier said than done. So it was interesting to hear just like the dynamics of how they're
talking about future life changing decisions with each other and look forward to seeing how those go.
Because I do really look at them and believe that they're obviously the real deal and their energy
comes across that way as well. Yeah, 100%. 100%. Anything else on Vatronation, Alex or Andrew? Do we keep
this conversation flowing? No, I think we come keep this conversation flowing. I will say, you know,
Anytime you get a Canadian on, I love that.
You know, her talking about how much she makes, her speech path, hearing about his earnings,
even though the show's on a hiatus and he still keeps making more money and more money,
just makes me happy to hear someone we've had on the podcast, keep doing well and what they're doing.
So I just think that that conversation was really great to hear about how they know that their PG status
that you get from The Bachelor will create sustainability for them for a long period of time.
So love to see our guests winning.
Gotta love seeing them winning.
Good people doing big things.
Excited for what's next.
Now, David, we're going to go into one of your favorite subjects.
Fast food.
Oh, here we go.
Now, here's one of the things that's crazy is that you can actually use fast food as an indicator of what's happening in the economy, how people are buying what the prices look like, inflation, etc.
Hot off the press this week, Wendy's franchise files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as the burger chain struggles.
So there's a franchisees out there.
One of the larger franchisees in the country that owns a bunch of Wendy's just filed for Chapter 11
bankruptcy.
That also comes off the press from McDonald's.
McDonald's in the last six months, David, take a shot at their stock.
Are they up or are they down in the last six months?
McDonald's stock last six months.
Man, I just think McDonald's is a place that always goes up.
That's just my guess.
And what percentage do you think their stock is up in the last six months?
Three and a half.
McDonald's is down 22.5%.
And their stock value in the last six months,
the Big Donald CEO said today that they expect the high inflation to create
additional lackluster traffic.
And that's here to stay.
And it's going to impact all restaurants because he said,
I think as we look out forward, we're not expecting things to change.
I think that's what to me, when you hear the CEO of McDonald's talk about forward-looking,
to me it's the biggest, it's one of the biggest eye-opers when we look at finance as a whole
because you got to remember, they're looking at every single McDonald's across the world.
His exact quote, across the board, we're seeing that inflation is sticky.
It's sticky.
It's not just in the United States, but around the world.
The biggest thing that you need to do in an environment like this is you have to be able to earn share.
You have to be able to actually grab growth from your competitors.
Really, and he also said McDonald's will likely continue to have price increases due to the inflation.
So I feel like there are certain companies in this world that set a barometer for what prices should be.
They certainly are one of them.
It's fascinating to explore the stock, which is trading at $238 right now.
And they hear from the CEO how they're seeing inflation across the board.
they're seeing the restaurant industry getting smashed, and they're expecting to increase their prices due to inflation here.
Live shopping is here. Let me tell you, it's different. I remember the old days, right? I go to garage sales or estate sales or even like I'd be on the desktop with the slow internet bidding on something.
Well, now you have Whatnot. What Not is the largest dedicated live shopping platform out there.
Whether it's beauties, it's collectibles, electronics, luxury fashion, even literally cookies.
are building real thriving businesses. I honestly like just going on there and scrolling.
Like it is so much fun to see people selling things from their home or businesses selling things
live and asking questions and interacting with people. It's unbelievable. Across whatnot,
the number of sellers making over $1 million a year has literally doubled. Consistency pays off.
This isn't a side hustle for many people. It's a real path to build something that lasts.
What Not buyers spend more than an hour a day in the app.
They're not just browsing.
They're engaged, buying, and coming back.
I can tell you, is someone who goes on the app, it's just fun.
Like you're on the app watching people sell their stuff, tell you about it, the storytelling.
It is so much fun.
But here's what you got to do.
Search What Not, W-H-A-T-N-O-T into App Store.
Download it, and you could start selling your stuff right away.
Literally, download it, give it a show.
go sell some stuff, make a couple bucks.
Live selling has now crossed into full-time work for many.
And if you're not into selling, start with buying.
But it is such a cool place to check out.
And you'll want to go check it out now.
Just go to W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the App Store and start selling right here right now.
Well, that surprises me.
But also, if I'm going to say why it maybe doesn't I,
I am a fast food guy, as you said.
I don't remember the last time I went to McDonald's because I think the beauty of McDonald's
that's always consistent.
But right now, while inflation is there, it's not giving me a reason to go back.
There isn't any new menu items.
There isn't any spas.
There isn't any, you know what?
That's top of mind.
It's, I know what it is.
I know that it's getting more expensive.
And it'll be there when I'm maybe feeling better about the price or what I need.
But in the meantime, I'm going to Taco Bell to get one.
of their more electric, like in-season, fun, limited time menu, or I'm going to a different
place because, you know, if I'm spending money, I wanted to be memorable.
McDonald's, I'm sorry, you're not memorable, but that's also one of your strengths is that
you're consistent. That's that they mastered the consistency of it. But when times are tough,
and I'm only getting it maybe once in a blue moon, I'm not going for consistent. I'm going
for fun and crazy and memorable. All right. Well, that also
brings us to Yum brands. Yum brands own so many different restaurants and companies, but one of
them is Taco Bell. They're down 11.79 percent. They're stock in the last six months, so about
half of the percentage of Taco Bell. But that is a good little stock talk and little fast food talk.
You got anything before I go on the next subject? I went to a Starbucks rant last week.
Oh, you're not doing another Starbucks man, aren't we? Nope. Nope. Nope. I just on a Starbucks rant. I thought it got
some traction. I have a question about McDonald's. I know the stock's down, so I know that's
sensitive about this, but it's got to be over a $200 billion company. I'm just throwing
numbers out there. You're going to do your little fact check while I go on this rant. A $200 plus
billion company, do you find it a little interesting when you like check out that they're asking
people in this economy with inflation to donate to certain charities like Ronald McDonald's house
and things like that, like on the checkout screen? Like you're worth over $200 plus billion. I'm worth
paycheck to paycheck, you're asking me for money. Couldn't you just slice off a piece of your business?
Is that a weird question or is that a fair question? Is that a me problem? No, I think I mean,
I'll tell you what, there is nothing that triggers people more now than our POS systems that are
hitting us. They're like, you know, everything is a, you know, a big, big, I ordered, I ordered
in Nashville, by the way, not New York City, but in Nashville. I ordered to go.
at a sandwich joint. And the tip started at 25%. Start it. 25, 2730. I was like, holy shit,
for packaged goods. Wow. All right. I think people are getting like POS triggered right now.
By that, I mean like a point of sale trigger where you put in your credit card. And then they ask for
the donation on top of it, right? And I get that because there's there's two sides of it.
One side is, I'll go donate where I want to donate, how I want to donate with organizations that I look up to, that I've researched that I believe in.
The second part of it that would disagree with you, which I think is fair is McDonald's is saying, we have a platform.
Because we have a platform, we can ask these people to round up their change.
When they round up their change, it then creates another $100 million for organization that's doing good work.
So there's two sides of every story.
That is fair.
That's a great way of thinking about it.
You're right in that instance.
You're also right that the POS
anxiety temperament is real.
I think when they started 25% on the POS
and now you have to go,
A, you feel guilty,
then you've got to go other,
then you've got to type in your own percentage.
Now you're actually doing more work than they did
to make the sandwich.
You should turn around and get tipped yourself.
Now that I'm thinking about it,
I want to correct myself.
I'm pretty sure now I'm like really going on the weeds.
I think it was 20 started at 22, then 25, then 27.
I just remember I was like, I was like,
damn, that's an aggressive start for just like putting sandwich in a bag
and me taking it to go.
Went to Subway this weekend, footlong sub and a Diet Coke.
$18.50 in upstate.
In Rock.
No, in Potsdam, New York.
$20 for a sub.
than a dieico bro what is going on inflation has run off the church the car i mean this war this i can just
speak to it the war in the middle east right now not a good move it is right i can i can
i can rehearse the five dollar foot long subway song in my head right now do it
five dollar five dollar foot long not 18 fucking dollar foot long i don't know what that come on
And it's like no shade on subway, but like it's not great.
No, it's not a great sandwich, dude.
It's, it's, listen.
Potsdam, New York, sure.
I got, my options are limited.
But anyways, I got, I could have food rants right now, but we got to, we got to, we got to,
we got to, yeah, I'll tell you, a food rant, I got to just say, I don't know what
they're putting these fucking dummy bears and shit lately, but anytime I see like dummy anything,
like if I see it on the shelves, if I see it somewhere, it's almost.
almost like an addiction.
Like, I don't know.
This has been like a last three-month thing.
I see these gummy bears that I'm like, I think they're putting an extra crack in
there or something because anytime I see a gummy bear or gummy worm or a Swedish
candy, I'm like drawn to it.
I'm like, what is going on?
It's like something's in the water.
Some's in the water.
I'm the same way right now.
Water, wow, wow.
Yeah.
No, but actually, dude, I'm going to be honest with you.
I'm eating like, I'm not a sweet scot.
I'm eating pretty damn healthy lately.
But I'm not freaking like the sweet.
Something is with the tongue.
or the I don't know.
I have a sure.
I never was a sugar guy and now I'm a sugar guy.
Be careful.
Because once I got married, the sweets thing just hit me like a ton of bricks.
Tonna bricks.
All right.
We got to keep this conversation flowing and going because we are hitting a lot of topics.
Oh, he's got something.
Speaking of getting married, do we have any life updates on venues, places?
I don't know if we've really followed up since you guys were in combo.
I think we did a little bit by, I feel like we.
always leave it for the end. And the reason it's 30 minute 3rd is. We got to cut off.
We get to 29 minutes and then it's like bad. Oh, we always get cooking in these things.
And I'll tell you what, 30 minutes goes pretty fast in 30 minute Thursday. We are in talks,
getting final proposals from two wedding venues. I am shocked at the speed at which this is moving.
It's been outrageously slow. We went to. I thought you're going to say fast. Oh, it's a joke.
I mean, we went to Cabo three, four weeks ago.
What do the, what do we do it?
Like, let's go.
This is what we want.
So, da-da-da.
So apparently there were calls today.
I could see it.
And we have like a note taker that I could go see like where the calls were.
And there was calls.
So I'm expecting a big update tomorrow.
And I want to make by end, what is today?
I want to make a decision on venue and date by October 1st.
Okay.
So by next Thursday, I want to make a decision on that.
So and so does.
I know she's excited, but you can't make decisions without information.
And we unfortunately are in this queue of waiting on information.
Are we leaning?
Are we leaning?
Are we leaning?
I would say we're at like, you know, I love how my, the training secrets listeners, we're in the group here.
It's like I always tell everybody here the stuff before I go to social and tell it.
But yeah, we're leaning.
We're leaning like 90, 90% Cabo.
I love that.
Do you have, do you have, do you have date too?
Or is that part of the, does it depend on venue?
This is part of it.
So each venue has, like the demand of the wedding industry in Gabo in October, November, December is off the charts.
So like we're getting all different dates.
And we're getting those hopefully in the next week, hopefully tomorrow.
And these dates are, dude, I mean, when I tell you, this is big part of the decision between the two venues.
Like they're getting, when I tell you, they're giving us all dates, I mean, like every day of the week because that's how limited it is.
Wow.
You know what I'm saying?
So, oh, yeah, we're going to be a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, month.
So we're just like, tell us what you got.
Give us the price.
This is what we're, here's our negotiation.
Got negotiate with these people.
Yeah.
So we're getting down to that final wire.
And, yeah, Kalshi would have vague odds.
I say Vegas odds, whatever, probably at like 94%.
Okay.
The other six percent is probably because like we're both just getting so annoyed with it.
The other six percent.
It's probably like a lope.
Yeah, you're like, is this a taste of what like planning it in there's going to be like
and go slow and we're going to freak out because they're not working at the speed that we need to work on because we're not there?
Yeah, I mean, one of the, yes, because we've been told they move slower.
We also have been told based on the venues we're picking.
They're wedding experts.
Yeah.
They, they pump these things out left and right.
So like there, it's the infrastructure once this part's finished is pretty seamless.
It's what I've been told.
But you guys know, I will update you along the way here.
How does the dollar compare US dollar to a peso?
It does.
Is that a dumb question?
It can't be a dumb question.
That's a good question.
If you were getting married in Canada, everything would be 40% off.
I know.
I respect the hell out of that.
But their wedding industry is driven by the United States.
And everything's in dollars.
There is no conversion.
And it's all very fucking expensive.
Okay.
That's a good question.
So stupid.
Great question.
Great question.
So a little personal update and I haven't fully shared it all.
I don't think on social media, but our New York place is officially up.
We moved out of there yesterday.
It was a great run.
I miss it already.
I love that city.
It energizes me.
It just puts me in a different headspace.
I'm already like feeling a little down not being there.
Good news is first week of October.
I'll be there for a full week.
But it's also good to be here.
I'm healthier in national.
I'm more grounded here.
I'm more focused here.
And it's a different, you know,
these next chapters, it's a different chapter, you know?
Would you say two things, number one,
can't believe. I'm a little upset.
I never saw the place.
So that's crazy.
It's neither here nor there.
That's a me problem, not you problem.
Is it a little sad?
When you moved out, was Catherine with you?
And I ask you that, was it sad?
Because I feel like that place was a little bit of a hideaway spot,
maybe a little getaway spot for you guys at the start.
It's actually so funny.
As we were closing the door, I looked at it.
I'm like, oh, my God.
I said to her, I was like, wow.
Like, I fell in like with you here.
I fell in love with you here.
I asked you to marry me here.
We brought the dogs here.
We did that photo shoot with Tommy, John.
And we had, anytime we're in New York, we just had like, New York brings out the fun.
We had so much.
She's like, we had a lot of sex here.
But one of the things, she's like, oh, my God, you used to say.
I miss you here.
And the joke between us is not a joke, it's the reality.
Before I said, I love you to Catherine, I would always say I miss you.
Like I before like, you know, I dropped out.
Like it'd be like times you would say I love you, right?
But it would be like going to bed, be like, I'll miss you.
You know, I'll miss you up sleeping.
So anyway, she's like, yeah, and we said I'll miss.
We transitioned from out of Mr. I love you.
But yeah, to your point, yeah.
And it's always bittersweet.
Like saying goodbye to places, it's hard.
When you move and stuff, it's like you look and you're like, damn, like I thought I'm like, never again in my life.
Why ever like walk in here again?
And I've had great moments here.
Yeah, I'm, we've actually actually and I've talked about that because our house is great, but there will be a time when the kids aren't here where it's like we want to get a more us friendly house instead of kid friendly house.
I think our house is going to be very kid friendly.
Man, leaving the house that you raise your kids in is going to, man, if I was a basket case on the first day of school,
moving out of like the house we raise our kids in talk about time going too fast i got to shut up
before i start thinking about that so anyways wow uh yeah well it gets it's it's real man it's real
like all that stuff is real we're i'll be 38 next month uh we're starting to celebrate friends 40th
my 40th i'll uh i just talked to my cousin uh the other day and his parents are hitting their 70th
um i finally feel like i'm the the parent now when like people are
having young kids, I'm like through it enough.
I'm like, don't worry, man, it gets better.
And then in my head, I walk away.
I'm like, no, it doesn't.
That guy is screwed.
I'm dead.
I love it.
I love it.
Well, hey, it's part of life.
We're in these new chapters.
We're all going through it.
I think it's a good reminder to just take a beat and be in the present.
Everything's moving faster.
AI is moving faster.
One of the headlines we're going to talk about is that the heads of all the heads of
of AI firms literally told United Nations Security Council that it,
could be very risky to all humanity, right?
Like we're seeing things that are creating more optimization,
which makes time fly faster,
sometimes just sitting in it.
Sitting in for a second, it'll help you.
Some good financial things that you got to know out there.
We talked a little bit about it already.
I'm sure you know that the Fed raised rates.
So be careful if you have variable debt.
Inflation right now, we know this.
It's stuck gas is the reason.
Gas jumped 3.9% August.
It's up 27.4%.
from a year ago.
Gas alone made up more than a third of the monthly increase.
It's just what in the heck is going on.
Mortgage rates are almost at 7%.
Home prices are still rising.
Even as sales slow, we do know that this administration,
one of the big things they keep talking about is they don't want to deteriorate home prices.
And I know Donald Trump said, I think it was this past week.
His exact quote was, I can't punish those who have worked
hard, go work harder. So home prices still rising. Existing, what else we got? I think that's about it.
The median, medium price is $429,100. That's up 1.6% from a year ago. And then the only last thing I got
is that wage growth is not moving at the same speed. So what I tell everyone out there, go make
money on your money, find ways to save money, find ways to earn more and spend better. If there's
anywhere on trading secrets we can help you do that give us five stars in the comments let us know

about that. I feel good about that for you. Thank you. It's, it's research, it's action, and it's
putting you and your family in a better position. Those small wins create the momentum. It's
beautiful. Let's go. And then, yeah, I think what we'll do, David, I think I'd like on 30
minutes Thursdays, you and I start giving a trading secret. So something we learned from the past
