Thumbtack presents.
Uncertainty strikes.
I was surrounded.
The aisle and the options were closing in.
There were paint rollers, satin and matte finish, angle brushes, and natural bristles.
There were too many choices.
What if I never got my living room painted?
What if I couldn't figure out what type of paint to use?
What if...
I just used Thumbtack.
I can hire a top-rated pro that knows everything about interior paint.
Easily compare prices and read reviews.

I got kicked out of Whole Foods once because I was eating a dog treat.
Was it intentional or was it by mistake?
It was intentional because I thought it was cleaner than the human one.
If I'm going to get kicked out of Whole Foods?
And they told me I had to get out and I said, this is human grade.
This is better than what the ingredients that are in the human turkey jerky.
We have a podcast.
Shut up.
And it's out now.
Where can we listen?
I guess like everywhere.
Just kind of like open your front door and we'll be right there.
We're talking turkey sandwiches.
Beauty, birth.
We're talking motherhood.
You guys check out glowing up.
It's out now.
Hey, Sluggies.
I just showered.
Next step is putting deodorant on.
All right.
If you are a human, you smell.
It's just how it is.
But in order to tackle that smell, you don't have to use chemicals and cancer causing shit.
Okay?
Go to buy tiajena.com.

Bye, sluggies.
Hi, guys. I'm Esther Pavitsky, and this is Trash Tuesday. Thank you for being with us today.
As you know, we're here with Kalila, Koloko, our queen. And today we have a really,
really special, hot, sexy, attractive, hilarious guest. Joel Kim Booster.
Hello. You know him from Fire.
Island also from one of my favorite TV shows, Lute.
And psychosexual.
Oh, yes.
Wait, are you a fellow germaphobe?
I would not say germaphobe.
I used to get sick constantly.
And so I'm very hyper aware of when sick people are around me now.
But like, listen, you know, butts are involved in sex for me.
Yes.
But there's a way to do it.
And so it's like you can't be like hyper like American psycho about.
It if you're messing with the butts.
But you can be smart about it.
Yeah, no, absolutely.
And listen, let's be clear.
It's been a long time since I have, I think the term is painted anybody or been painted on because I think I'm an adult.
So I know how to, you know, do that.
And I only have sex with adults.
Right.
You are a fully formed mature adult.
I think that's how I decided to start my time on this podcast.
It's talking about painting.
We can always see it.
Let's rewind.
How did it?
Can we talk about germs, though? Let's continue.
Yeah, let's talk about germs.
I used to get, well, I was hospitalized and that's kind of what started my
journey into germophobia.
You told the story on my podcast.
Oh my God, I did.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
Which, by the way, I had much, we listened to that episode on the way home from Palm Springs
a couple months ago, my husband and I, and he was like truly the roller coaster that that
story is.
Like, he does not listen to my podcast, by the way, I will say.
and he was like truly throttled by your story.
I don't know what to feel by that, but thank you.
It's bad.
You remember.
Yeah, I do.
And listen, I am a proud germaphobe.
I don't think I've peaked as a germaphobe yet.
I still think the insanity.
Bitch, you live in peakness, germaphobe.
Oh, it can get worse and I plan.
I hope it gets worse.
Because my psychosis surrounded and my OCD got worse after I had a baby.
where it was like everyone stay the fuck away don't breathe in my direction don't breathe on my little prince
don't you like don't babies like need to be exposed to germs and stuff like that to a certain extent
to a certain extent i mean they don't need to be like getting rsv right well isn't it like a thing
that a lot of kids who were kept home from school during the lockdown suddenly were like
because they once they went back to school we're getting sick so much more frequently because
like in the beginning like newborns don't need to get sick.
No.
Just because they haven't gotten their like full vaccinations yet.
Like they're still like,
thank God you said it because I was like sitting here like, oh God.
People who are germaphobs and crunchy like can go one of two ways with vaccinations.
I have to say.
Oh no, no, no.
There are some people who are like major germapops who are like and that's why I won't give my kid the measles vaccine.
And it's like, wait, how does A go to B to C?
So you want polio.
Yeah.
Are you both wellness formula girlies?
For those of you don't know,
wellness formula, they're these horse pills. Yeah, I don't know. You take like six of them. Oh,
those wellness formulas. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought you were talking about like the supplement
game. No, no, no, no. I'm not talking about like these I love wellness formula or supplements or any of
that shit. I am talking about this like green and white get the OG formula if you can. Yes, yes. Not the little tiny
capsules where you take like six a day. Oh, six every like six hours. They stink. They it's like big
theater school culture. Like that's where I first learned about them. The newer formula, they're like,
press pills for life for better terms.
And you take three.
Yeah, but the capsules are better.
If you can get the capsules, get the capsules.
Counterattack is like the new wellness formula.
Oh, really? Okay, I'll have to ship that out.
It has like all of that stuff and you take like, I think six a day.
And there's another one now that they've come out with, the immunity something where it has,
they've added andrographis to it.
Okay.
I'm not a fucking scientist.
I don't know if wellness formula actually works.
But even just a psychosomatic like, you know, brain game that you play where you're like, I'm not getting sick now because I felt a little tickle.
I took the wellness formula and I'm good now because I will not get sick.
And I think that has like such a powerful effect on your body.
I live my life by this, by the way. I have an immune elixir in here.
I'll do colloidal silver, oregano oil, andrographis, manuka honey, counterattack.
And I'll take it like on the hour six times a day.
I like some things on that list.
The colloidal silver is,
have you ever heard of the cult?
She called herself Mother God.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, the Mother God cult.
Which she took so much colloidal silver.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then they kept her body around for like,
forever.
They just weakened at Bernie's this woman.
It happened to a guy as well,
but I don't take colloidal silver like that.
Love one, the cult of Mother God.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm telling you, I've had a sore throat before.
I've been taking it for like 10 years.
I've had a sore throat before.
I'll wake up in the middle night, keep it next to my bedstand.
I'll do the 10 sprays onto my throat.
I kid you not.
I wake up without a sore throat.
Really quickly.
I was in the pines of Fire Island last week.
And famously, the grocery store there is staffed entirely by young teenage girls from Long
Island, who are completely unfazed by the gay nonsense they are confronted with on the daily.
But I went in because I was feeling, I would love.
I lost my voice and I went in and I was like, hey, I was like, do you guys sell throat coat here?
And she was like, and it was two girls behind the counter.
The tea, right?
Yeah, the tea.
And she was like, no, we don't have that.
And as I'm walking away, I hear one girl turn to the other and go, what is that?
And she goes, I don't know.
I think it's a sex thing.
And it's like, to be fair, if you're 16 and you're working in Fire Island and some gay guy comes up to you asking for throat coat, like what else are you going to think it is?
She thinks that like numbs your throat so you can stick.
I guess so.
I guess so.
Also, tell us you were not a theater kid by not knowing what that is.
Right.
No, exactly.
You out of yourself.
You were obviously a theater kid.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was saying.
That name throat coat is like a very strategic.
I think they knew exactly what they were doing because it is so catchy.
Yeah.
It rhymes the throat coat.
Well, didn't they call Ms. Reagan the throat goat?
Didn't that come out?
Yeah, Nancy Reagan was a throat goat?
Oh, was she really a throat goat?
Yeah, that's, I mean, that's, you know, somebody said that.
on the internet and it became fact immediately.
Don't you miss that time?
I do.
I mean, we're sort of living through the repercussions of that time, I would say.
I got to say that anything you say, anything he puts on his internet, on the interwebs,
I believe it.
As gospel, yeah.
I do.
I don't post indiscriminately.
I am very good.
And sometimes, like, if I'm spending more than 40 minutes researching if something that I'm
seeing, an infographic or a news story.
that is just like with no source or something like that is real.
I'm like, well, I should just not post this then.
Like if you're spending that much time going down the rabbit hole,
like if I'm on a flight and half the flight,
I'm just like looking up to make sure that the thing I'm posting is real,
this is too complicated for an Instagram story.
That makes sense.
I feel like sometimes I post things and then take it down
because I realize, oh, that wasn't true.
But at least I take it down.
Yeah.
And if people DM me like, oh, did you know that this actually AI or something?
I go, thank you so much.
I think we've all been gotten before.
And I think it's like there was the good thing to do is like at least post the story being like, hey, I like that was fake.
Because my least favorite thing is like a recent example of this was like Jamie Lee Curtis posting, you know, pictures of Palestinian kids being brutalized and saying that they were Israeli.
and then when it came out that the reverse was what she said was true she didn't say anything she didn't correct what she had initially said which really was like it was like you have such a big platform that's like deeply irresponsible she well she took it down so she had to have been someone in the DMs must have but like acknowledge it at least you know thing yeah no matter what it is I'm you know but yeah I will say she maybe also doesn't run her own Instagram that's also a fair thing
to think. I used to be social media manager and it was like I was the voice of someone and so it was up
to me. How many followers before you get that? Before Instagram assigns you, um, a Jenna. Well,
it's very hard to get a Jenna. You have to be assigned by me. Yeah. I couldn't do it long enough
because it was like you have to be on your phone all day checking, responding to comments. I'm like,
I can't even run my own Instagram. What am I doing? I recently took all
of the social media icons off my
homepage. So I still have
and I like all
Twitter, I really only used Instagram
at this point, mostly
because I have to post goddamn clips from
podcasts on my Instagram all the fucking time.
Literally all of us. But I took the icon
off my homepage and so now
I have to like physically search for Instagram
in order to go there. I love that. Me too.
All the notifications. Like I get no
notifications from it. I check it like twice a day.
And my mental health has never been
fucking better than when I did that. Because
it's like out of sight, out of mind.
I do not need to see so much constant feedback.
It's true.
On me, like, at all.
Like, whatever you're thinking or feeling about me has nothing to do with me.
I used to be so convinced that I could control the narrative of, like, my own narrative
in other people's eyes.
If I just, like, got in the comments and really, like, trying to engage and was genuine.
I'm like, oh, if you could just, like, if I could just show you who I really am, then I could change your mind.
And it's like, that's not what anyone on the internet is interested in doing.
From someone who has been a villain in the podcast world, as it relates to me being Bobby Lee's ex,
I will be the first to tell you that if you don't make peace with the fact that people are committed to knowing you only in the ways they want to know you,
you will never sleep again.
It's out of your control.
It's out of your hands.
And whatever truth you want to.
let the world know.
It's like let that fire burn inside you and let it serve your mental health because
they will never believe it.
No.
Because my thing is,
is like,
if you hate me because you're homophobic or you're racist or conservative or something,
like if you hate me for reasons that are true,
then by God,
like go off queer hate me.
But when I see somebody say something about me that is just like patently untrue and that's why
they hate me,
I'm always like,
no.
This is the thing that gets me.
But even that.
even that because the lore that I've read about myself has been like so where I'm just like,
how fuck did we end up here?
This is the hard part because I feel like, yes, I'm such a person who is obsessed with truth
and facts.
So when I see something that is untrue, I get so fixated on proving the trueness of it,
even if it was a good thing about me.
I'm like, but it's not true.
That's not a true thing.
You're at. I must have spent like four, five years trying to respond to the hate about Kalila because I knew the truth. And so I would just sit there and be like, well, actually, I actually know them. And I've been friends with them for 10 years. And so that's actually factually just not true. So what you're saying isn't true. And where did you get that from? Because I was there. And I would just. I really appreciate it as a friend. But also I was just like, Jenna, save yourself. Yeah. I would respond to like every single person because I'm like, if I just tell them the truth, they'll see that. That should be enough, right?
Right, but it's not because people don't actually want the truth.
People want something to hold on to and to hate and to feel worked up about.
Today is my anniversary with my partner.
And I know, here's what I know about anniversaries.
I think that I, my understanding is that it's supposed to be a day you enjoy together.
But why do I feel as though it is, it should be on him to make my day special, but not the other way around?
Like I feel, okay, so this morning I woke up and he had handmade like a frame.
That's correct.
He came correct.
He sculpted this whole thing with a photograph and it was beautiful and it was so perfectly wrapped.
He did like Japanese gift wrapping and then we go to dinner later.
And I have nothing planned and I'm fine with it.
I'm like, this is how it should be.
Am I wrong that it is still?
No, you're not wrong because I'll tell you why.
Okay, please.
Because now I'm just like, wait a second.
Was I supposed to do something?
return if this is a joint affair?
Listen, I think it's very different when you are a mother of a child right now.
You are breastfeeding.
Okay, thank you.
You are raising children.
Right.
Context always matters.
You are appreciative of him.
Okay.
And he also feels good by doing things for you.
Now, I mean, it can't just be like, yeah, bitch, you're supposed to carve me a frame.
No, I mean, there's got to be like.
Coa wood.
like thank you no I loved it but then it made me think like was this supposed to be reciprocated
I don't speak on straight people issue and this seems like something I have no out of your depth
a major straight people issue there there are weird like more complicated layered gender things
that go on in straight relationships that I don't have to deal with yeah because when you were
started talking I was like well of course it's a mutual thing yeah but then you mentioned the fact
that you are, you, you birthed a literal child for this man.
Yeah.
Um, and for yourself.
But like it, it's like that he'll never be able to make enough frames to,
like, to, you know, uh, sort of match that experience.
So I think like, yeah, it's totally fine.
If, and especially like, you know, love languages come into play to.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If, if that's how he's showing, like the effort of like making you something with his hands,
that's how he's showing love for you.
Like,
That's not necessarily how he might want to receive love back.
Okay, so you absolved my guilt.
Thank you very much.
It's all I wanted to bring out.
And I also think like you can talk to your partner about this.
Like, hey, I want to make sure that it feels like I'm reciprocating it in my way.
Like, you know how fucking weirded out he would be if you were like, I built this frame for you?
Like what?
He would be like.
I built one too.
Yeah.
Like reciprocation doesn't mean the same thing.
And I feel like that's what you're kind of thinking.
Like, oh, fuck, I didn't make him something too.
It's like, bitch, you made him a baby.
Okay, that's good.
Thank you.
Thank you both.
That's all.
You're welcome.
The jury has spoken.
You would hate me in real life.
Why?
Because I don't know about pop culture.
I'm literally, though, there's like too much shit now.
There's no monoculture.
There's not a thing that everybody watches.
I know.
And that makes me so sad.
Except, you know, like, sporting events and certain reality competition shows.
Yes.
Are sort of the only thing that I think gathers a lot.
of people from all different backgrounds to watch. Everybody is sort of in your position. I feel
everybody feels the way you feel because like unless you're so much job to consume media,
there is just like too much shit and there's every it's so, everything is so niche now too.
You know, it's very specific stuff. But do you think that fractures us as a society to not have
like monocultures or does it kind of give us a little bit more? I don't know. Like the last big thing
where I'm like we were all locked in was maybe Game of Thrones. I was about to say.
Oh my God.
I was about to bring this up as an example because you don't see the same reach with House of Dragons.
You don't at all.
I would still check out.
It used to be the thing on Mondays.
Everybody was talking about Game of Thrones and what happened on Game of Thrones.
It was inescapable.
And now it's like I do know people who are watching House of Dragons.
I'm loving House of Dragons.
But it is just like it doesn't feel like the same vibe or energy of like the entire internet rallying around this one movie.
Did you watch them night at the seven?
You know what?
I have to return to that.
It did seem a little too, like, boy shit for me at the start.
Like, I need a little happier.
I need a strong female lead to really find myself in the program.
Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely.
And, but I've heard now from several gay guys that it's pretty good.
So we will return to it.
I was also behind on Game of Thrones. Do you remember?
Because I didn't, yeah.
I didn't, I grew up without a TV and it like took me a long time to be watching TV.
But I love it.
It's just I didn't even.
know how to do it. I didn't get a TV until two years ago, but Game of Thrones, I think,
was the thing that started me watching TV and now, I mean, I'm insatiable. But Bobby was so enraged
that I hadn't seen it that he gave me his login. And he paid you money. And he paid me
$300 to watch Game of Thrones and then would quiz me on it for proof before he gave me money.
I think that as a friend group, we all collectively came together and it was so fun. This was at a
time when Bobby Lee had way too much
extremely income, I got to say.
He just needed someone to talk to
about it. He didn't know the lean times were coming
when he paid $300 to watch Game of Thrones.
Oh, man. I know. I do miss that. I do miss
that. It was very just, it was this one communal thing
that we did. I mean, this is why I like the NBA
because they're like, first of all, it's basketball is the best
sport to watch, especially if you're not sports. It really is.
It's always happening. It's always points me. It's so fast.
It's so fast. It's so fast.
A lot of points.
The rules are quite easy to understand.
It's like pretty straightforward.
Yeah.
With basketball.
And they tend to be the most progressive too.
Like politically.
Yeah.
Like Charles Barkley, man.
This is a Megan gaily bit fully, but he should be our next presidential.
I agree.
Guys, I did a commercial with Charles Barkley when I was like seven years old.
And I still remember it was two all beef, patty, special, sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.
And I was jumping rope.
And the only reason they moved me up to, like, saying it and jumping rope was because
there were two leads.
And me and this other girl, this other girl snows.
And no one said, bless you on set.
And she was like, is anyone going to say bless you?
And they were like, can you step off for a moment?
Jenna, why don't you just move in?
We need to take a second, though.
And then it was like just me.
And explore the verbiage snows.
I have never heard so
They snosed before
Sneez sounds fake
It sounds like incorrect
But it sounds slightly more real than snows
I snows
It's the past tense of sneeze
I know it's not right
But yeah and even the coaches are quite
Like Steve Kerr is a legend
Yeah
Progressive icon
And yeah
And listen you don't grow up in the Chicago suburbs
In the mid-90s
And not have fucking basketball
I just want to
pause you.
I wish Esther was here for this legend.
Oh, I've waited.
Jenna,
I've spoken to you about this many times.
I just want to, we're just going to,
everyone's going to take a moment.
We're just going to give time for the man who said
Chicago suburbs.
Okay?
Which tells us he's around the Chicago land area,
probably supported the Bulls.
We get that.
Fireworks at the Bullswood.
He's probably Cubs fan.
Maybe it's north.
Maybe it's south.
Oh, are you south?
I don't have any.
Special Allegiance.
But when I lived in the city proper, I lived by Wrigley.
So I am instinctually sort of traumatized by that experience.
Well, baseball is whack.
So who go, whoa, whoa, what?
I mean.
I can't be in this room today.
I can't be in this room.
I love baseball.
I used to go to baseball games and like take the stats.
Yeah, I've killed it for you.
But you're right.
It's not a whack.
No, baseball is to me just so like family friendly and I love it.
Baseball is a sport that I will not watch on TV.
but if I'm like I will go to a game.
Yes, I will go to a game.
Because baseball is very easy to like go to the game and just chat through the entire game.
And take your time and like choose what inning you want to like roll up to.
Get your garlic fry.
Sit back down.
Good snacks.
Good conversation.
Maybe you end up on the kiss cam.
I know because like here's the thing.
I do love basketball.
But it's like when you're there, things have to happen fast.
Your snacks have to happen fast.
You got to be locked in.
Yeah.
Like you can't miss.
I mean missed 20 points in a bathroom break.
With baseball, it's like, oh, like we're here for hours as a family.
Like, we can chill out, take our time.
That's what I love about it, because I'm a slow moving bitch.
Yeah.
Also, before I cut you off, sorry, you were saying this Chicago suburb.
Oh, no, you just like you love basketball.
I think it's like most people, like I don't think a lot of people know this about me,
but I did play basketball in high school briefly.
You did.
Go off queen.
I was terrible.
I was so bad.
at it. But I love basketball so much that I wanted to be good at it and I wanted to play. It was
something I tried and I'm proud of myself for trying. Did I only score three points in the
entire season? That's incredible. Did it happen because I panicked and shot and like instead of
past it I shot? Because normally my thing was that I would receive the ball, panic, pass it
immediately. Yeah. And this time I received the ball, panic, shot it. Yeah. And it went in and it was,
I made a three-point basket.
A three-point.
I was on the JV team, obviously,
and this was an away game,
the varsity team was in the stands watching.
And the way everyone on my team and the varsity team erupted
because everyone knew I was like,
it was like a thing that I was like terrible at this sport.
And the only reason I was on the team
because everybody made JV.
And like they freaked out like we had just won a state championship.
Did Froshtoff not exist?
No, not my school is too small for that.
The other team was like, this was like the middle of the second quarter
and they were like, what's going on?
Like, is he dying?
Like, is what, why are you guys freaking out so much?
Like, they literally lift me in there like, Rudy.
And like, I'm like, and it was because it was such a big deal that I, it was nearly
honestly, though, and it sounds like a big deal.
And like, that would be such a core memory for the rest of my life.
To know that you're shitty, but here's my one three pointer that none, no one will
forget about.
It's pretty iconic.
Yeah.
That's baller.
I played basketball for a also brief moment because I'm five foot almost nothing.
But all of my friends were playing and I had so much fun playing and I loved it.
Obviously, growing up going to Bulls games.
I don't think I ever scored.
What I mainly did was foul, like foul people because I was so aggressive, didn't understand the rules.
I was a soccer girlie.
Traveled all day.
Traveling and then asking why.
And then I remember one time when I got thrown out of a game was because the girl and I get the ball at the same time.
And she's pulling and I'm pulling and I just go and pull it down, but she lets go and goes on my knee.
And they're like, out of the game.
And I'm like, why?
What?
What's happening?
So that was the end of my basketball career.
Sounds like you had a future.
We were called the Stars with a Z.
We were the wild cats.
So I have a little basketball story and it involves my mother.
My mom was born and raised in the Philippines and she's a jack bitch.
Like just like Jenna's met her.
She's just one of those.
Like she's in.
She's solid.
Late 60s, just Jack still has a six pack.
Oh yeah.
And just genetically kind of like gifted.
But her whole thing was I grew poor.
I never had access to sports.
So it's like all you bitches are lucky.
I never got into sports because I would have been like a thoroughbred Olympian.
It would have been over.
Yeah.
And so a couple months ago she started Lexa Pro.
And it has changed her mind completely.
she is no longer a victim to her circumstances and she started playing basketball.
And when I tell you that this bitch doesn't miss a basket is it's just one after the other.
I play horse with her.
I can tell that she's bumping.
She's knocking.
She is and I'm like, ma.
Yeah.
She's like, I told you.
I told you I'd be really good.
I wasn't lying and I'm like, hey, kudos to you and Lexapro in your basketball journey.
Hell yeah.
I hope you enter like a mask. Get her all one of the commercials. I know. She's like, get that little rock thing out of here.
She's like, before I didn't play basketball, now all I do is win, win, win, win. And she's just like hitting people. Lexapro.
But I'm so proud of her because I feel as though like this is something like, you know, when people just say things and it can never be tested.
You could be like, well, we're never going to know that way. You're like, oh, yeah, sure you would be great.
Especially things that like your 62 year old mother says. Yeah. You know, it's like.
Well, we'll never find out.
We're never going to know.
But she fucking stunted on your ass.
She's like, watch this.
Hold my motherfucking beer.
She's so good.
And I'm like, wow, ma.
So, yeah, congrats mommy.
You're going to make into the WNBA by 68.

how did you figure that out? Do you get hives? When I moved to LA, I was going, I worked in the same building
as the equinox in Hollywood. So I would go to the gym every day and get, and this was like early
days like working out and I would go to the earth bar and get the same smoothie every day.
Yeah. Suddenly, like so much inflammation in my esophobic.
and I couldn't eat for like a month.
It was crazy and I had to do like a very strict elimination diet.
Yeah.
And then we finally figured out because this is a thing about bananas in me.
I hated bananas when I was a baby.
I hated the taste of anything banana related.
Yeah.
And banana candy don't like nothing.
I hate it.
I hate it.
And so I've never eaten bananas regularly because it's not like I could take a bite
of that banana and not need like my epi pen or something like that.
But it was just like every,
day, constantly introducing bananas to my system, was, and then we figured it out.
You knew. Your body knew. Like, no. As a baby. We don't like that. They were like, no, stay away.
This is interesting because I feel as though I did this to myself with spinach. And it's not because
I hated spinach as a kid. I'm sorry. I find this interesting because it's like you, you were
consuming it in such like frequently and then probably like a lot that your body at some point was
like, I think this is an allergen.
We're going to throw up this flag.
That happened with me in spinach because I went in my extreme dieting days.
All I would do is like eat boiled spinach with butter.
And I was like running, running, running and spinach, spinach, spinach, to where now if I were
to eat spinach, I will literally like shit blood for days.
My body is just like, we do not like this green thing.
Will you stop eating this because we'll make your shit blood?
Do you think yours came from overeating it?
Yes.
Because I feel like that's what happened.
me with like apples almonds
peaches, plums, like all of that
It's like all I ate when I was younger
and now have a neppy pen.
Yeah, that sucks.
I miss spinach though.
I look at it and I'm like, I love you.
I cannot have you.
That does not sound like a life.
You know, people always say like, you know,
nothing, food, nothing tastes better than skinny feels.
And I'm like, that's crazy.
Yeah.
Kate Moss, I think she said that.
Nothing tastes better than skinny feels.
Nothing tastes as good as how skinny feels.
That's a lie because literally food tastes better than how skinny feels.
I couldn't do just spinach.
And she was an athlete.
This was right after you lose your identity as an athlete and you gain all that way.
I know a lot of people.
And then you're like, what do I do with my life?
I'm just going to run my body to the ground, right?
And like I don't extreme diet like that.
I love food.
I love food.
I really like eat a lot with so much joy in my heart.
I will probably never get on any kind of anything to ever try to look skinny.
I don't feel good when I'm skinny.
Yeah.
I don't feel good.
good at all when I'm skinny.
I remember when we were exercising so much.
Her and I would just like soul cycle like twice a day.
Soul cycle, Pilates, just like, and I felt horrific.
Yeah.
And I was probably the skinniest I'd ever been.
Yeah, I'd look like a bobblehead.
Disgusting. I look disgusting. I'm like a little 14-year-old boy.
We watched the second Toby McGuire Spider-Man movie recently.
And you forget back in those early 2000 days and it's starting to creep back in,
which is scary.
But like, women were.
Or like avian boned.
Yeah.
And the normalcy of that, like, is, like, the fact that, um, Renee Zellweger is fat in Bridget Jones's
diary is so fucking crazy.
I know.
She looks so regular.
The secretary in love actually, the running bit is that she's like a big girl and it's crazy.
Really crazy.
And it's like, it's so insane me when I watch, we watch Love Actually every year and I'm like,
what the fuck was going on back then?
that entire movie is just a train wreck.
It doesn't hold up in the way you'd like it to, but it's tradition.
Yeah, it is tradition and you just turn a blind eye when certain things are done.
You're like, oh, okay.
You meet things where they were.
Right.
Yeah.
You don't have to stay back there, but you meet them where they were and then you move on with your life.
Exactly.
One of my favorite songs as a kid that I would sing all the time is by this band called Human League.
And I love them so much because my family, my family,
family used to dance to this song called Electric Dreams.
But one of their other songs that was even more famous and popular is called Don't,
Don't You Want Me Baby.
And I re-listened to the lyrics because it played and my kid was like, oh, this is a catchy song.
One of the darkest, most dangerous lyrics I have ever heard.
Like, it never clocked.
I never clocked it before.
But if you want to pull up the lyrics, truly astoundingly, like, vile.
In what genre, like in what?
In abuse, domestic lane.
Oh, yeah.
Like stalker, I'ma kill you.
Well, that's like every move you make or whatever.
That song, too.
Oh, my thing.
It's about like a 16-year-old girl or something.
No.
Yeah, no.
The lore of that song is like deeply fucked up.
You were working as a waitress at a cocktail bar when I met you.
I picked you out.
I shook you up and turned you around, turned you into someone new.
Now five years later on, you've got the world at your feet.
Success has been so easy for you.
But don't forget, it's.
me who put you where you are now and I can put you back down too.
That is so crazy because like all I remember of course is you were working.
Okay and also remember the lyric this the main the hook don't you want me baby you know I can't
believe it when I hear that you won't see me.
Ew.
Ew.
Like as scary.
Like we're just singing that.
Philip Oakey.
Because you think like she's working as a cocktail, a cocktail waitress and it's very like
and it's like Bruce Springsteen, you know.
like oh like I don't know I don't know I guess I really stopped thinking yeah
after same also the whole thing about I'm just still thinking about women being considered
slightly larger in love actually and how insane that is and I'm picturing Renee Zellwiger's
face and how it's just like a normal face not even anything and then I go to like biologically
like someone created the be skinny thing and it wasn't women and it wasn't natural because like
if you think about someone who is healthy even who you want to mate with they're going to be
someone who has meat on their bones and they're going to be larger skinny is like well you're
unwell and you're going to die soon and I feel like that was just created by some yeah famished
some man who was like we want women to be weak and disappear and this is it's not on the same
level by any means and I would never suggest that but it's happening with men too in a big
way because of Marvel movies honestly and the way the expectation now because like you look at
tubby McGuire's body in spider man you look at Wolverine yeah what's his name you Jackman's body
in the first X-Men movie versus what he had to do to his body in the Deadpool movie that just came out
it's crazy and it's all steroids it's all steroids which is fine do whatever the fuck you want to your
body but do not come out here and try and sell me on the fact that you oh is your training
program and it was the diet is all the Costco chicken breasts that got you to be that big and
that lean it's just not possible chicken breast ain't doing that no and it certainly doesn't happen
that quickly either and so it's so crazy to see like I remember thinking Hugh Jackman was like
stacked and fucking hot me too and I still think that yeah but now it's like so crazy because
like little gay boys like me are growing up looking at the picture on the right
and being like, oh, that's the expectation now.
That's a GI Joe.
That's a toy.
No, and it's not even limited to gay men either because, like, let's face it, like straight guys who work out, they're working out for other male.
Like, male validation.
They're not doing it for women.
In fact, I know a lot of women who are creeped out by guys who are due built.
Yeah, I was just going to say that was really not.
I learned that from you guys for sure.
And also, I think the vice versa with the straight dude is like no straight dude.
I think what it is for me is that when I see a certain type of physique that screams Jimbrough, I, at
attach it to a certain character that he likely has.
And it's not the body itself.
It's more like what I associate with the body.
And there was like rage.
There's a lot of rage.
In this guy who I dated who was like that.
And it was scary.
I remember he ripped the pillow one time because I didn't want to have sex with him.
And then he proceeded to say like, like there's so many girls who would want this body.
Ew, don't do that when you say it.
That's so crazy.
This is when I was like an elite athlete.
I was knitting and almost stabbed my, like, the guy.
I was seeing at the time with a needle because he he got all rageful.
He would like go to the gym twice a day and was taking something for it.
I'm not, uh, Tran or something crazy.
That's not your brain.
I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I would like to hear from the straight guy.
Because we cut you off.
Wow.
We've needed this.
No, I was just going to say, I assume the same with like the like we're talking about
male, you know, beauty standards, unhealthy, probably from other males.
Because that's what I always think too.
I always thought that about being too skinny with women as well.
because I've never met a single dude who's like,
I want him to be rail thin, skinny, you know.
I want to feel like I could break her bones.
Yeah, yet to meet that dude.
I feel like that's where it started.
Like, even with corsets, like getting women's ribs to be so tiny.
It goes both ways, but like I know a lot of women who will not date a shorter man
because she needs to feel smaller than the man.
And I know a lot of like guys who also will not date a taller woman
or a woman who is physically in any way.
like imposing like not able to like he can't protect her or like he can't like you know um so i i think
that's some of it too is where it's coming from because yeah i agree i don't know a lot of guys
who would be into you know bird bones bird bones i do think about the whole like i don't know
how i feel about girls when i hear them say or when they're height elitist say for instance especially
the girls who are like he has to be sometimes you're so mean about it it's crazy yeah it's weird to me it's
But then on the flip side, I'm like, men have sort of required an aesthetic out of a woman for so long.
So I feel as though fair game.
So I do think it's fair game when women are like, you know what?
We don't accept baldness anymore.
There are ways to unbald yourself and go pay that money.
You know.
Lie to turkey, bitch.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What did you say?
Lide a turkey.
That's right.
As a person who accepts baldness for so long and I dated a bald guy for a really long time.
Now I'm kind of on their side of like, yeah,
unballed yourself only because it's like why not why I think it's okay for us to have these
crazy standards because it's been imposed on us for so long that's so true you know I used to feel
bad for men when women would be like too short too short I'd be like why who cares give him a
chance and you know what because you said that I now I agree with you we've got to be a certain
height a certain thickness a certain shape can't have hair can't
look a certain way, can't act a certain way, got to have good skin. No. But I also do feel,
and I'll go even a little bit deeper, that men don't actually feel that way. They do, I think,
in their wildest fantasies, want to have this little Barbie on their side. But I truly believe a
hole and heartbeat will suffice. Like, that is truly what I think about straight men. And sometimes
not even a heartbeat. Yeah. Sometimes not even a hole. It could be a crevice. But see, like, so it's like,
I'm so torn in this type of discussion because I'm like, I can always go like one step back and be like.
But they're still trained.
And that's where it comes because they're treating women based off of how they're trained.
Yes.
I think that they do want to say like, oh, I like this type of woman.
But truly, I think they'll take anything.
But men also don't feel like they can just be how they are.
And again, I think it's like showing off for other men too is like a big part of it.
It's like obviously there's like weird body shit that happens in the gay community.
And like the part of the reason I look like this is because of that.
I'm not saying that's not true.
But like I do think that like if it came down to it, like half the time that they're
concerned about what you look like is not for them.
It is because like they want the trophy.
I do really truly believe though that I have yet to find a man who has worked out for me.
I know that it's for the homies.
I know that it's for another man to, you know, to.
be impressed by. Like I've never ever looked at a man at a gym or done a sit-up and thought
he's really out there working hard to impress the ladies. You know what I mean? Like it's always
been like he's, that's not for me. That's like where the whole, I've never read it at that.
Macho energy for me exists as well. Like it is, it's not actually how you are. To me a man who is
macho as we know it today, to me that is like the least manly thing that they could do because it's a
facade that they're putting on and they're overcompensating for all this
you've got fucking Andrew Tate out here saying that sleeping with a woman is the gayest thing
you can do it's just like we've cut fully come full circle it's like you're so straight you're
gay now what was that other guy who the other guy who's the guy's name in the manosphere who he
ended up breaking up with his girlfriend he was like yeah I mean vagina's disgusting and then he
tried to win the conversation by asking a female who is straight would you eat vagina and
she's like no and he was like point proven
And it's like, hold on, you didn't prove a point.
She's straight, so she doesn't eat pussy.
Do you eat dick?
And also, well, like, you didn't ask her if she ate dick either.
Exactly.
I know a lot of women who don't eat pussy and also will not suck a dick.
What is your point, sir?
So you're gay.
Bodies are gross.
And that's okay, but you're gay.
Here's why I will give a little bit of grace to the I don't eat pussy sphere of it all.
Ew.
Here.
And I think that I thought about this long and hard.
Wow.
I have a friend.
and I truly believe that he is, he has, he's had food aversion since he was a kid.
He's on the spectrum.
It's not a lack of desire to want to please a woman.
It's, he has a literal jag around the sensation and the texture.
It's almost like a food jag for him.
Does he eat ass then?
He doesn't eat.
Would he eat ass?
That's a different texture.
And he's like a good guy.
Otherwise, he just has this particular sensory jag.
Well, I don't think that most, the majority of men who are out here saying
they don't eat pussy are on the spectrum.
Yeah, I agree.
Obviously, again, we've been talking about context
as in our time.
Yeah.
You don't think that context matters.
Yeah.
I don't think DJ Khalid is, you know,
love on the spectrum.
Yeah.
And to that, I would say he's probably
an incredible partner
and makes up for it in other ways.
Your friend, not DJ Callag.
Yes.
Not DJ.
What are we saying this about DJ Callid?
What's the thing that DJ Callad says?
DJ Callad.
Me the best party.
Yeah.
Oh, he is not the.
best party. I'm not saying that this is right and we might have to cut this. One time I was seeing
someone and he was so tired and if you know anything about me, I don't drink, I don't smoke,
I've never been drunk, okay? But this is how strongly I feel about eating pussy. It was like
one o'clock in the morning, we're out at a bar and he was so thoughtful about the fact that he had
said he was going to eat my pussy that night. Okay. That he leaned over and said, I'm so sorry. I
I'm getting really tired and I feel like I'm not going to be able to stay awake to eat your pussy unless I snort Coke.
Are you okay with that?
And I said, you do what you have to do.
In the service of the, yes.
I kid you not.
I said, you do what you have to do.
And he stayed awake, snorted that Coke, ate that pussy.
He did what he had to do because his body was telling him otherwise.
It's a real gift of the magic situation for him, though, is that he had the energy to eat your pussy, but then his dick doesn't work.
His dick doesn't work.
So he's not going to be able to come up.
Right.
And the thing is we hadn't agreed to anything else.
So yeah.
Listen,
sounds like he knew exactly what he was walking in.
And he got to do Coke that night.
So win, win, wins across the board.
I know.
Honored the contract.
Like a real man, put it here.
Yeah.
I respect it.
I respect it.
And you know me.
I'm very anti-drugs.
Yeah.
Same.
So I was,
but I was like,
this is a situation wherein it wasn't someone I was seeing like often.
And I'm like,
well, it's tonight, and I've already been thinking about it.
And like, we've got to make this happen and you've got to stick to your word.
So.
A lot of people online are saying that heartthrobs from today don't really compare to the heartthrobs from the 2000s.
Well, are we speaking specifically about like heartthrobs that should appeal to like younger women?
Because the thing is, is like, we still have Glenn Powell.
We still have all the Chris's.
We still have, you know.
Glenn Powell's my friend.
All the MCU boys.
Is he a hottie with a body?
But I guess if you're talking about the new brat pack or something like that.
Yeah.
Like Timothy and like I guess who else is there?
This is the other problem.
There are no real celebrities anymore.
Yeah.
No.
It doesn't happen anymore.
Timothy is like probably one of the handful of actors who like a lot of people cross-generationally know about.
I was talking to somebody who was in their 20s the other day and they were not familiar with Julia Roberts' work.
Which is crazy to me.
Because she was like the biggest movie star for so long.
Oh my goodness.
Open the schools.
Here's what I will appreciate about the younger generation and the heartthrobs that they are choosing.
I think the range is wider.
And I think one of my bigger frustrations growing up as a girl in the Philippines is that the heartthrobs were always this exact kind of format of white, attractive.
male and I like the range of the heart grabs.
And a lot of them and their bodies are different.
Let's like we understand that there's so much more than just the physique like a lot of it.
Like even the Timothy Shalames of it all or honestly.
I think it's a vibe.
It's a vibe.
I can't tell if these are two men on repeat or six or seven different men.
Yeah.
They all look almost the same to me.
Although Tom Welling kind of feel like he was really, he stood on his own.
Again, another body that I remember thinking like pinnacle of male physique.
Was he not?
But you go back and you compare it to, again, Chris Evans and Captain America, and it's like a completely different ball game.
Because his veins weren't popping out.
And again, like, it's just.
You didn't have to have an eight pack.
You could just have like some muscle.
Yeah.
You just needed to look like you went to the gym or worked out or whatever.
Like ran twice a time.
You know, I'm very pro, like, not commenting specifically about people's bodies.
Like, because, again, you don't know someone's story.
You don't know the context.
You don't know what their health actually looks like.
But it is funny to me that, like, you know, an extremely skinny person could also have a whole host of health problems because of trying to achieve that body.
And, like, they don't get half the shaming that, like, you know, larger bodies get.
Yeah, and a larger body could be fully healthy.
The fact the word fat is a bad thing.
Like, I remember when I used to nanny and the kids would say something like, oh, yeah, but she's fat.
And I'd be like, what's your point?
Is that, are you trying to say it's a bad thing?
It's just a weird value thing.
So weird.
Yeah.
Okay, so the new heart throbs.
I think Tom Holland is probably a better example of like the vibes are always high.
Yeah.
Like he's shorter.
His wife is a lot taller.
He kind of is sort of your run on the mill kind of, you know, white boy, right?
But he is so endlessly cool.
I think he's like chill like a dude.
The face card never declines.
He does.
He's on prepping for Spider-Man.
It's locked in and tight.
I get Timothy Shalame is like, we are returning.
Like, it's on paper you wouldn't necessarily understand it.
But, you know, and he certainly doesn't look like Tom Welling.
Yeah.
But I also think, like, those guys were like, I would be interested to see what's going on in the like Disney decomm world right now, you know?
Because like Timothy Shalame is like a prestige actor.
Yeah.
He's not for young girls.
He's for adult.
you know, gay guys, to like, you know, study and, and comment on performance.
But, like, yeah, I'd be interested to know, like, who is meant for younger women now.
It goes into what you guys are saying about no monoculture, right?
Yeah.
It's harder to have, like, that one person or image that you say, everybody, this is what's hot.
Right.
Yeah.
Do we even have heart throbs anymore?
Like, it's interesting.
I kind of like it.
I bet, you know, it's probably, like, honestly, not even, they're not looking at these guys as hard throbs.
It's probably guys on YouTube and TikTok.
And that's why we don't know.
Because what's going on on TikTok is none of my business.
But I do know what you mean about like Sabrina Carpenter.
She dated Barry Keegan, right?
Yeah.
And he is considered who by the way, like I think is a phenomenal actor.
And when I watched him, when he was much younger in the killing of a sacred deer.
And he was so great and so creepy.
And I was like, oh, this kid is actually really talented.
But he was in Saltburn.
And he was next to Jacob Allorty.
And you think, okay, well, Jake.
of a Lordy is like the hot boy right but I actually think Barry Hagan is considered like a
lot of girls have a crush on this guy yeah I a Lordy's probably a good one to yeah for like yeah
to put up there and I I would say he I mean too tall way too tall yeah way too tall as I said I would
not comment on people's bodies but Jacob Lordy you can comment on his body no you know I
feels good about it yeah I will comment on too tall yeah um I come from a very tall family of dad six
for and maybe this is why I do not like seeing too tall naked bodies it like it's very confronting for me
and I'm like there's too much it's like a giant like where does this end my husband is six two and the way
he has found so many IDs passports little bags of drugs on the ground at parties because he's constantly
looking down to talk to me he's like always looking down like we have saved the lives because we've found
passports on the ground that's so funny yeah I always want to ask Esther this too
And maybe you, because you're on the shorter variety.
Yeah.
What does the world look like from down there?
Honestly, I think that I'm six foot.
Yeah, you do.
Like I feel like I'm six feet.
And so I can't really, I don't really speak on behalf of the short community because I'm not sure.
I'm five nine, which I think is like, wait, you read a lot.
Yeah.
And someone recently said like, oh, I found out his real height.
I didn't realize he was a short king.
And I was like, are we calling five nine?
Short game.
No, five mine is not a short king.
I would be honored to be, you know, crowned.
But like, I don't think that's the case.
Yeah, no, I always say I present is very tall.
You seem so, because I'm five, when I saw you and I was like, oh, he's tall.
And weirdly, like, my wingspan is slightly longer than mine too.
Mine is two inches too long.
Maybe that's it.
Maybe that's the key to seeing taller.
I think that's part of it.
Wait.
I bet we could reach.
Holding space.
Do you see this?
Okay, what is this?
This is how I see the world as a five foot person.
Oh.
Does your dad, when he's at parties and stuff?
That looks normal to me.
This is what my favorite one.
I am looking for my husband in the crowd.
And then I realize he's literally talking to someone who's five eight and standing like this.
He can't hear.
He can't hear them if he doesn't do that.
Bend over and Frank's back.
Exactly.
My partner now is 6-2, which I feel is like the cutoff for me for how I want to see a naked body.
Like anything above that is just.
like a no but I
I love that I he's so
easy to spot in certain
spaces and also his traps
are a little overgrown and I
just like I can just see those traps
he's massive yeah he's like a big
big he has big traps not like gym guy he's just like
naturally he's burly he's a burly daddy
rugby rugby
yeah that kind of burly daddy
okay yeah and I do like that
about I can find him anywhere
yeah it's like a little totem where I'm trying to find my group
at, you know, Coachella or whatever.
I equally think that we are easy to spot because of our six-foot-tall energy, though, as well.
Yeah.
I think both of you are extremely visible, like, and shiny.
And I think it's a long limbs.
Wow.
It must be.
It was actually on a set where someone mentioned this last year, and they were like,
we should measure your wingspan when we cut.
And apparently my wingspan is two inches longer than it should be for my height.
Like, there's a way to measure it.
You guys, as a competitive swimmer, you guys,
missed that bowl. He should have been. You know, I don't know how to swim at all. What? I know. I never
learned. Do you want to? I hate being wet. No, we have a pool now and my husband's going to teach me in our
pool so that I don't die like a toddler. Yeah, that's hard. In our own pool. And every time I watch
something that's like post-apocalyptic, I always like, fuck, I got to learn how to swim before this
happens. And I got to get LASIC. Those are the two things that I need to do before the world ends. Learn how to
swim and get LASIC. Because what am I going to do? Like, put contacts in while they're in the
nuclear fallout.
Yeah.
As you're swimming down.
And then like, yeah, it's that
Twilight Zone episode where he breaks his glasses and suddenly he's
fucked because it's like there are no more
glasses to be held.
Wait, so in an apocalyptic world, you have a desire
to keep living.
Esther mentions this about her husband day where it's like if it goes
apocalyptic, like he wants out like very early, in the early
stages.
If a husband isn't alive, then yeah.
Yeah, I was going to say if my partner's not there and my family's going.
But if my partner is there and he wants to give it a go,
then like,
Sure, I'm down, you know.
Yeah.
Sure, I'm down.
You'll learn how to swim.
Yeah.
Also, I just have a question.
Going back to like fads and dieting, I have never been a fan of diarrhea.
And I know that you are or you used to like diarrhea.
What?
Die hard.
Die hard diarrhea girl.
I cannot stand diarrhea.
I'm not talking about noro and cyclospora, okay?
I'm talking about just a random, oof, what was that?
Now I'm skinny.
I have a lot of friends.
They love diarrhea because they think it's.
It's making them skinnier, but I'm like, no, it's the same amount of shit coming out, just liquid.
That's not true.
I can't.
It's not true.
Let me explain.
Okay.
The diary I'm trying to defend is more of like, you know, right before you go out and you've eaten something that's a mild irritant right before you're going out and you want to put this really cute thing on.
And just maybe I say an hour before you start getting ready, it hits you and you empty your bowels.
And it is not noro.
It is not cyclospora.
It is not a real GI viral thing.
You feel snatched and it's a one-time thing and you're off into the sunset and you feel skinny and pretty.
Slippery slope.
Yeah, it is a slippery slope.
This is speaking from...
This is why I just wear stretchy pants.
This is me speaking from an obviously very disordered, ex-disordered way of thinking.
But you're not alone.
Oh, I would say almost all of my girlfriends are like, oh my God, fuck yeah, I had diarrhea.
I think the alternative, which is I'm not a constipation girly.
Oh, God.
That's that.
I don't want that.
Semi famously, people love to bring it up is I used to blend chicken when I was like early stages of working out.
So many people.
How would you blend it?
I would just blend it with some water.
Throw a chicken breast in the microwave.
Blend it with some water and olive oil.
And then glug, glug, glug.
I hate chicken breast.
And it was like easier for me to get it.
And people are like protein shakes, protein shakes.
And it's like, yeah, I would drink protein shakes like twice a day.
But that's not the best way to get.
You don't want to get.
all your protein from protein shakes.
And so people have commented before when I've talked about it or they've heard about it
that that's disordered eating, which is like, sure, if we're like expanding, you know, what
that means, it may be a little, but I was also just poor and trying to get big and didn't like
eating chicken breasts.
I was also eating Chipotle every fucking day.
So like, no, do you know what I would call that ordered eating?
You are being intelligent, mathematical about how you are getting your protein.
it's not about being skinnier.
You're just saying this is what I need to do
to get my protein. It's very smart.
I'm willing to admit that now.
I'm like very grateful that I'm in a place
financially where I can buy like high quality
protein and like not have to worry about it.
Very happy that you don't have to blend your chicken.
But like honestly if I
you know get to a place in my life where I have to go back to that
I would in a heartbeat.
Because it's not that bad guys. It tastes like chicken soup.
Honestly, I would do it.
I would do it today.
Yeah.
I don't see it's fine as long as it's not like cold.
Oh.
Oh, it seems like it was cold.
You know what?
Sometimes I would get like tender greens and it would be warm then.
But sometimes I would make a bunch of chicken breasts and put them in the refrigerator.
Because like what is the difference really from these like these pouches that a lot of like kids.
Yeah, the baby one.
It's like chicken and rice.
Yeah.
It's like you got the vegetables there.
I buy the protein.
I buy them.
Oh, put gogert.
Put chicken in gogert.
That's what I need
They have it
It's called Serenity Kids
Oh my God
I eat them
I eat those packets
It's like chicken and rice
Butternut squash and chicken
By the way I think that kids foods
Is a snack hack
Lately I've been going through
Just the ingredient list
And like what my kid eats
This is literally Koya Kids
They're really not putting the junk
In the good kid stuff
And so I've been snacking on my kid stuff
That shit is delicious
Yeah and it's cleaner
Just like dog treats
I got kicked out of Whole Foods
once
because I was eating a dog treat.
It was a long time ago.
I also did not have a lot of money.
Sorry, this is so upsetting me right now.
You remember how you see turkey jerky all the time?
The ingredients were like, two ingredients.
Was it intentional or was it by mistake?
It was intentional because I thought it was cleaner than the human one.
If I'm going to get kicked out of whole food.
And they told me I had to get out and I said, this is human grade.
This is better than what the ingredients that are in the human turkey jerky.
and they were like, ma'am.
Yeah.
I wonder what the microplastic situation is with our dogs.
Because are they eating a full little plastic spoon every day too?
I don't know.
Is it just us?
Do you have dogs?
I grew up with dogs and my husband and I are thinking about getting a dog right now.
Wow.
Like test run for having kids.
And we just like needed a reason to come home, you know?
Yeah.
So we're thinking about it.
But it's tough because I'm gone all the time.
And so my husband's really the one.
who wants the dog really badly.
And I'm like, you have to understand that if we get this dog, you will be in charge of the dog for, like, you know, I'm going to be gone for, like, two months in the fall, like, you know, on the East Coast.
So it's like stuff like that, I think it's, like, harder for him.
Like, I really kind of am pushing for us to get a cat instead.
No.
I love cats.
I love cats.
I grew up with cats.
I love cats and dogs.
I love them both.
But cats are lower maintenance.
They are.
I've had both.
And I say dog.
I see both.
A little cat that acts like a dog
That's what my cat was like
Honestly our cat acted like a dog
He was an orange tabby
He's from the streets
And he um
He fetched and we never taught him
He fetched
He hung out with us as if he was a dog
He slept on you
He snuggled up to you
While you were doing dishes
He would come up on your
You know what that sounds like he's acting
Like a cat
Yeah
As someone who's been a lifelong cat
Um
Person
I'm gonna this is where the PR
Has gone completely wrong about cats
But I grew up with cats.
I always have cats.
They do fetch.
They do sit.
They do all the things that dogs do.
The six cats we had before him never did any of that.
Well, you know why.
And they didn't want to be touched on them.
Dogs are easier to train than cats.
I read this recently that smarter dogs are harder to train than dumber dogs.
They say that cats like do understand what we're trying to get them to do.
They're like, I'm good, bro.
Yeah, I'm not going to do that.
But in the same way that not all dogs I've had like playing fetch, not all dogs are really cuddly.
like I do find that that is
there's a variation amongst cats
smart dogs like malinois
like really task oriented dogs
like that's a full time
job because your job as a dog
parent is then
to make sure that they are living up
if you don't if you don't give them task
if you don't then they become
they have behavioral issues start to happen
because it's like their energy needs to be used up
because that's what they're they're supposed to
supposed to be hurting sheep and shit.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Also, even just for dogs, I read that dogs going outside and being able to smell
different things allows their brain to develop and work in ways that it's supposed to.
But when you are taking them out on a walk and you're like, you can't smell anything.
You're out here to pee and then let's go in.
It leads to like anxiety.
Anxiety.
Because they're not living.
Like to us going outside is living.
to them it's like they have to smell all of the things work in these ways and i heard this other thing too
where they um taking them on different routes versus taking them on the same route every day the same
route the same structure every day actually causes more anxiety in dogs like what i do with my dogs it's
like Julio has never seen the top of my fridge before so crazy i love him so it's like you've never seen
how we call come because you're all the way down there it's like watch this pancake flip you know like
I have so many dogs, Joel.
It's a...
So many dogs.
Might be a problem.
I also like foster.
Honestly, if you guys have the dog and you don't end up keeping it, she will take it.
I will take.
I think if we decide to get a dog, we're going to be in it.
Thank you guys so much for watching.
Where can we find you, Joe?
Presumably, if I'm still alive when this airs, I will be on Instagram at I hate Joel Kim.
Again, I guess like I may or may not see your comments.
And, yeah.
I think that's like, you know, stream loot.
All three seasons are available on Apple.
And your special.
And my special psychosexual is on Netflix.
Awesome.
Thank you so much.
