Starting point is 00:00:56 of someone who's not pulling any punches. If you're going to be a fucking pussy, just turn it off now is all I'm going to say to you. You look resolute. For those easily offended, might as well turn it off now is all i want to say to you you look resolute for easily for those easily offended might as well turn it off now that's right well it was good talking to y'all but i gotta go tanya's in no mood for the truth none just wait for next week's episode um anybody raw dog in reality right now is not well there's just no possible i just i just did a couple edibles right before this to take the itch off nice that's my breakfast that's my
Starting point is 00:01:35 breakfast every morning a few gummies i'm not gonna lie me too yeah i can't smoke anymore i'm gonna send y'all some I get a whole bunch but I can never do them Because they send me to the To the veil You know The veil's what I'm trying to be honey Just wrap yourself up
Starting point is 00:01:58 In a blanket for like three hours Rocking back and forth I got myself a weighted Blanket honey Hey comfort Luxury and forth. I got myself a weighted blanket, honey. Hey, comfort. Hell yeah. I'm like laying under 20 pounds of care and comfort.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Hell yeah. Man, I'm so piss weak that I stay under my 25 pounder and I have a hard time getting out for none of that bitch sometimes. I know. I ain't been to the gym in a year. You gotta roll out from underneath that shit. I saw... I ain't been to the gym in a year. You gotta roll out from underneath that shit. A year. Tom ain't been to the
Starting point is 00:02:30 gym in five years. I've never been to the gym. I don't think I will ever go to the gym. Well, welcome to the show. This is your gym. This is where you work out. Flex your muscles. This is the mind gym.
Starting point is 00:02:51 That's right. While we're weak. So we're all gathered here to talk about the big event this week. All for a eulogy. All for a eulogy. All for a eulogy. And that eulogy is for... We have it here today. That eulogy is for New York Times reporter
Starting point is 00:03:12 Neil Sheehan, who broke the Pentagon Papers story in 1971. So, that's it. Episode's over. Bye. RIP, Neil. Without you, democracy would have died in the dark a long time ago. That's right. RIP Neil without you democracy would have died in the dark a long time ago
Starting point is 00:03:27 that's right a real one for real but no really this episode really is brought to you by the same people who brought you guy who is aware of cancel culture but has never
Starting point is 00:03:42 heard of COVID I was laughing about a guy who, like a lib, who after the election results on Tuesday was absolutely ecstatic, thought that democracy was back, baby, like we were good, and then went on a camping trip or something and was completely unaware of what happened. When I come back we'll be everything will be just fine just sitting in a boat somewhere in the middle of fucking nowhere
Starting point is 00:04:12 yeah that's where i wish i were yeah oh yeah me too um but no really, obviously, a couple things have happened in the last couple days. Just a few developments. But maybe it works to... And welcome back, Tanya. Tanya's back on the show after, what, a two-month hiatus? A three-year disappearance. But my mystery is, well, it's still unsolved. She was hiding her pot of gold in the woods, and now we've got to go find it.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Welcome back, Tonya. I missed you. Thanks. Glad to have the band back together. It's a good feeling. I know. We're rolling. I did miss you guys.
Starting point is 00:05:02 I didn't miss having to have intelligent things to say because I still don't. But I did miss you all. Stop it, you. We miss you as well. The audience did because for two months I never heard any constructive criticism or support of any of the hard work that I put into this thing twice a week. Every week I just heard, where's Tanya? Where's Tanya? Is she coming back? report of any of the hard work any of the hard work that i put into this thing twice a week every every week i just heard where's tanya where's tanya coming back fielding calls and emails about
Starting point is 00:05:30 tanya's whereabouts and at a certain point it's like who are you the police yeah knock it on your door yeah she's not here what do you want me to say well Well, luckily, the angry hordes of demanding listeners were great for my anxiety. So thanks for that. Thanks for all the checking. Making me feel like I was not meeting any demands. This is my depression. Truly. No, I got a lot of very sweet and supportive messages that I appreciate,
Starting point is 00:06:08 but sometimes I did feel like I was letting, you know, every one day on. I fuck those people. This is my depression. Yeah. I was having an honest to God, still am an honest to God. Well. Mental break. Well, you're back. You got a honest to God. Well, um. Mental break. Well, you're back.
Starting point is 00:06:27 You got a dog chewing on your headphones right now, it sounds like. So, um. It's good. You know. It's snowing outside. It's a beautiful day in Whitesburg. Um. Not a beautiful day for democracy, though.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Unfortunately. That's true. It's a snowy day. Snowy, rainy, cold day for democracy. That's true. It's a snowy day. Snowy, rainy, cold day for democracy. That's right. So, yeah. So, no. Obviously, things got a little out of hand this week in the nation's capital.
Starting point is 00:06:56 In case you are our theoretical person who is coming out of the wilderness, like Tanya. You're coming out of the wilderness with Tanya. who is coming out of the wilderness, like Tanya. You're coming out of the wilderness with Tanya. There was apparently a siege in Washington, D.C. at the Capitol building by Trump people. Apparently by Proud Boys, Trump MAGA people. But before we get into it, I think... A couple of dentists and some franchisees of Buffalo Wild Wings.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Small business tyrants. Before we get into it, we need to probably recap the last couple of days leading up to this. So, on Tuesday, we all thought this was going to be the big news of the week. That there was a runoff election in Georgia. Tom and I were so uninterested in it that we had prepared to not even talk about it. We had an episode planned for Thursday and that's how, you know, detached from, from the whole thing we were. I live here and I didn't give a shit about the election.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Right, right. Did you vote? Begrudgingly, yeah. I showed up in full Black Panther guard to punch the win for left. Hell yeah, with the Chris Norton hoodie. He's doing his own Black Panther. He took a picture of me because he liked my jacket, my Black Panther jacket, but he didn't know who Chris Norton was.
Starting point is 00:08:24 He's a new character. He'll be looking at that picture later like wait hold up who who is this um no so there was a runoff election in georgia on one hand between uh rafael warnock and kelly loffler and on the other hand, David Perdue and Ossoff. I think the, if I remember correctly, the Warnock and Loeffler election was not very close. It was about a two-point difference, just about. But the Ossoff-Perdue election was a lot closer. I think it came down to a difference of just about 40,000 votes. But the two did pull it off.
Starting point is 00:09:10 And so now the Democrats will have control of the Senate. Theoretically. Theoretically, exactly. Which I'm sure they'll do wondrous things with. Judiciously wield their power as they always do. Which means Joe Manchin will have control of the senate majority leader yeah silently but he is as joe goes so goes the
Starting point is 00:09:36 nation you think yesterday joe mansion got a bunch of care packages from people hoping to god he will get his shit together his office was just filled with flowers and fruit baskets yesterday yeah i learned yesterday that that joe mansion's last name is actually an anglicized version of mancini which is a way cooler name than mansion yeah why don't you just rock i understand you know you were paison back in those days you probably wanted to keep that to yourself for certain reasons for reasons um yeah no so i you know i know that we throw around the phrase history repeats itself first as tragedy then as farce but truly could you get more
Starting point is 00:10:29 farcical than the democrats regaining both houses of congress and the white house just as they did in 2008 but it's on even goofier terms you know what i mean like instead of obama it's biden yeah you know you got mansion running things like i it's just very i assume that the next four years will be various excuses for not doing things just like it was in 2008 that's why it's hard to be excited about it you know it's hard to be excited about it like i can admit that warnock's win is like historic but at the same time it's like like what the fuck are the democrats gonna do now you know with joe biden it's not it's not very promising so yeah and then they've also go ahead no no no go ahead no no i got nothing to say i was just gonna say it i mean it also just this whole episode sort of provides cover for them
Starting point is 00:11:30 right like i mean i know this has been talked about plenty online in other places but like you know it's like well we we can't do m4a because you know it'll you know it'll it'll anger these guys that uh own feed stores and they'll play out the plot to toy soldiers. Nineteen ninety one starring Wil Wheaton. We can't have that. I just saw a few minutes ago that Biden's moving to pass some with some laws against domestic terrorism that can only be described as draconian jesus so uh you know crazy they always pull this shit where it's like all these people break the law but there's already a stupid fucking law for and because they couldn't because they because they
Starting point is 00:12:18 fucked up they're gonna make a whole new law it's not like these bastards didn't break a law yeah well that's what i want to say to you and if you think joe biden's decree is going to stop you from burning down auto zones and stuff don't let it because guess what you're going to go to jail for that anyway and they can't take us off might as well so it's just yeah it's just marginally more illegal now. Yeah. So, I mean, it was pretty bizarre reading all the takes on Tuesday. I kind of felt like I was on another planet because people were jubilant, right? Democracy had returned. We took back the house.
Starting point is 00:12:57 But that story was quickly subsumed within 24 hours underneath a much larger story. We only got six versions of Stacey Abrams as the holy angel above before we forgot who she was. Yeah, as a votive high priestess. All future revolutions and upheavals should be measured by that metric tanya how many stacy abrams as uh jehovah gyrus can we get before the up the revolt happens our lady of little five points like let's just go if go fucking take the waters
Starting point is 00:13:46 in fucking Peachtree City. You know what I'm saying? Jesus fucking Christ. Yo, I saw people saying shit like they wanted to impregnate her or have her babies or some shit like that. Oh, no. The one dude was like,
Starting point is 00:13:59 I'm gonna go jack off. I'm gonna go fap to Stacey Abrams. Don't tell my wife. I was like, why would you do that? This is the sickest, most depraved shit. If that woman ever wants, I mean, whatever. If she ever wants a minute's peace, she's going to have to go into high school. Because the Dems now think that she's a magic wand.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Well, I saw several takes that were like, when talking about Stacey Abrrams don't turn into the dad from get out and it's like you realize that by saying that you sound like the dad but yeah sorry i digress you're right tanya so we got we only got you know less than 24 hours of of those good ass memes we all know and love of uh you know our savior stacy abrams before trump decided to hold a rally on wednesday the occasion for which was the counting of the electoral ballots in the senate for biden um so, yeah, Trump held a rally in D.C. I mean, he said, we will never give up. We will never concede. We're going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue
Starting point is 00:15:14 and we're going to the Capitol. Hey, but he didn't incite anything. We are. We are. We are. Did he do the Howard Dean yaw at the end of it? We're going down Pennsylvania Avenue. And instead of walking,
Starting point is 00:15:38 he rode a petty thing. What do they call them? A little floaty. They put him on the back of a golf carton yeah that's right set him in the opposite direction a little a little a little pope mobile he led a little pope mobile it is a funny image like you know if you accept that this was a coup, it is a funny image to imagine like previous coups in the past, like the general or the military leader riding in on a tank or a Humvee or something like into the battle. But it's just Trump on a golf cart leading 30,000 hooting chuds down Pennsylvania Avenue.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Yeah. This is actually. A guy dressed up in a buffalo skin. That motherfucker. I wanted to fight him this is a good place to pause though the debt like help me understand the definition of a coup as usual um is it the attempt or the success? The attempt is a coup attempt. Okay, okay, okay. A coup d'etat implies installing a new leader. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Because I was thinking, is it like impeachment? A lot of people think impeachment means removal of office, but impeachment is just like the beginning, you know? Yeah, you have to have a quorum for a coup. No, it's a good question, Tanya. This was partially what people were asking all day. So maybe if we go through some of the events, we can come to our own determination of what
Starting point is 00:17:25 actually happened um so on wednesday afternoon maybe around 1 p.m they you know trump had held this rally and he said yeah we're going to the capitol building and they were going to ostensibly protest the counting of the ballots for biden the cops you know the the capitol police apparently had set up a few barricades very feeble barricades in front of the capitol building and this crowd of people basically stormed the barricades and the cops the cops and i have to we have to say feeble is the right term because the goddamn scrambler at the whitesburg carnival was more heavily guarded than the capitol building that night i saw i saw a tweet though from a scrambler i saw a tweet though from a journalist that uh that said that
Starting point is 00:18:21 the cops like it was a video of a cop actually removing the barrier like himself and letting people oh i know yeah jesus there will be a lot of this uh during this event which adds to the chaos of it and and does not make it easier for us to decide what really happened. I mean, obviously Congress doesn't know what happened. Because they were all hiding in closets. The fuck they do. Are there a more worthless
Starting point is 00:18:56 group of people on the planet, honestly, than the U.S. Congress? Tell me one. Yeah, the D.C. police. Followed by the chuds. You had one, two, and three of useless individuals all gathered in one coliseum. You're right, Tom.
Starting point is 00:19:14 The three most useless demographics in America. Did y'all see the story where one of the closets they were all stuffed into hiding like little fucking bitches uh none of the republicans would wear masks and they were in their fight about masks i didn't see that that's amazing and the dems are like please put your mask on nah let them duke it out that's straight up i mean the covid outbreak alone coming down the pike yeah um yeah so these those these protesters and i have seen it. Have y'all seen a number on how many there were? It looked like at least like maybe like 200 maybe.
Starting point is 00:20:09 I don't know. A couple hundred. A couple hundred possibly. Yeah, something like that. That's just eyeballing it though. I would say there's, yeah, there's probably a few hundred that stormed the Capitol, but there was probably over 10,000 at that Trump rally, right? Or am I just...
Starting point is 00:20:27 Including Ariel Pink and John Mouse, which is... But, you know, if you think about it, it makes sense. Like, you know, Pitchfork's New Artist of the Week for 2011 going fast is like... Not like the weirdest thing in the world
Starting point is 00:20:43 these days. Well, anyways, is like not like the weirdest thing in the world these days right well anyways so these protesters stormed the barricades and a very feeble thinly or sparsely populated line of police in front of the capitol building this was going on about 1 p.m and i was heading up to tanya's house like right when i saw it starting to happen i was like that's pretty crazy yeah terrence rolled up onto my porch and was like hey did you see they some dudes just took over the capital and i was like just go home just leave me alone i'm out here trying to potty train a gorgeous little puppy and you are literally riding up my mountain to give me the worst news
Starting point is 00:21:26 so um yeah no so tanya and i were just chatting we you know we're just living in the moment not a cell phone in sight and um and so then i i get ready to leave your house and i'm checking my phone and things had escalated very rapidly no he went piss. He went to piss and he came out of the bathroom like, dude. Shit popped off. Yeah. Yeah. And so, yeah,
Starting point is 00:21:55 they had breached the Capitol building itself. They were using the barricades to break the windows and, you know, to break through the doors. They were barging on the doors. It was kind of, you know, to break through the doors. They were barging on the doors. It was kind of, you know, like you would see in any movie, really, like of how you think this would go down. You know, I guess I should say right off the bat,
Starting point is 00:22:17 I was very curious to know if anything had ever happened like this before. I mean, because this is a pretty big deal, right? As far as I know, nothing like this had ever happened like this before. I mean, because this is a pretty big deal, right? As far as I know, nothing like this had ever happened before. But I looked it up. The closest thing that had ever happened to this in history was in 1954, Puerto Rican nationalists stormed Capitol Building and shot like six people. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:22:39 I've never even heard of this. It's pretty fucking nuts. What was that miniseries we watched the jackal oh yeah the jackal yeah that shit was tight some uh that's that's that's how you really do this kind of shit yeah um but no i mean i think the entirety the entire history of the U.S., the only time that the Capitol building has been defiled or invaded or something was like the War of 1812 or something. I mean, this was unprecedented, I guess you could say. So, you had these people... Is that when Dolly Madison was saving all the books from being burnt? Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Jesus Christ. So yeah, you had these chuds running through the halls of Congress. You know, I saw several different things that said... You know, I saw several different things that said, you know, I saw one thing that said a protester had asked the cop where Chuck Schumer's office was and the cop told them where they could find it. You know what I mean? Like, there's all these reports. Like, there's a fucking tour or some shit, yo. Like, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:23:59 Yeah, yeah. Who's your representative, sir? Chuck Schumer? Yeah, down the hall to the left. Yeah. of sir chuck schumer yeah down the hall to the left meanwhile like in the background like just like shots are ringing out like people are breaking shit um oh do you wanted to see nancy yeah yeah yeah is she expecting you okay okay oh my god there was a few people who were inside this reporting on it. So this is in Slate.
Starting point is 00:24:27 I just want to read some things for y'all. This is from a reporter who was there. Directly inside, I saw no cops. As don't stop believing blared from a speaker somewhere, large crowds chanted USA, USA. Fuck. Don't stop believing baby no just sopranos ass shit to to the very end um a man screamed a man screamed about the american people's will the entry entryway was already messed up rioters were smashing the windows and there was wooden furniture piled
Starting point is 00:25:03 up and destroyed i saw a man in a conference room with his feet up he and his friends were smoking weed and when we clocked each other they offered me a joint oh my god that's pretty fucking badass oh man um in another room people were lounging and rummaging through furniture they put up stickers and scrawled slogans like trump won and our house some invited me to take their picture one young guy put his feet up on one of the desk post and told me yeah this is my desk i paid for this that's like that's like i know so many guys like that absolutely it's like they're just like yeah i paid for i'm a taxpayer I know so many guys like that. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:25:45 They're just like, yeah, I'm a taxpayer. How many shits were taken into drawers, you think? I did see something like a guy was pissing on the Capitol building and just got shot in the face with a tear gas canister by a cop. Oh, God. God damn. Jesus. on the capitol building you just got shot in the face with a tear gas canister by a cop he's traumatized he could never piss again he can join the club with me and tom standing over the toilet for 10 minutes before it comes he's gonna sit down and pee now that's it he dies of dehydration he can't drink water anymore they were also tagging did you see the tag murder the media i saw that tag i did because i saw some
Starting point is 00:26:34 journalists being i saw some journalists being like this has been coming for four years they've been targeting us you know what i mean because like journalists have been saying that they're the most aggrieved people in the nation most targeted people yeah for sure yeah it's like yeah unreal um uh the mood was giddy but it was chaos everyone was excited people were chanting this is our america and whose house our house they were having fun entertaining themselves the priority seemed to be... It's an Under Armour commercial, in other words. Yeah. The priority seemed to be to have their friends
Starting point is 00:27:12 take selfies with them inside the Capitol. The people I managed to speak to didn't seem to understand the gravity of what they had done. Inside a building they had broken into, they described themselves as peaceful to me. I talked to a kid from Florida who told me who must have been no more than 17 or 18. He told me, this is nothing compared to what Antifa does. I mean, I said, look, they're breaking glass.
Starting point is 00:27:38 He answered, yeah, but at least they're not destroying the things. I showed him pictures of things destroyed. It didn't register. the things. I showed him pictures of things destroyed. It didn't register. On the way up there was a woman holding a sign saying if we were leftists we would be rioting.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Oh my god. Yo, these people live in an alternate reality. They do, Erin. They absolutely do. They themselves are not raw dog in reality. they're raw dog in something completely different
Starting point is 00:28:06 um so uh you know there were some mean rioters people shouting get out of my country uh um eventually I did see some cops inside
Starting point is 00:28:23 they seem to be standing by, waiting for orders. I've been to plenty of protests in the past year, and let me tell you, they don't usually wait for orders. I've never seen anything like it. There was a guy smoking a cigarette, and a cop actually walked over, gently placed his hand on the guy's shoulder, and asked him to put it out.
Starting point is 00:28:39 That was it. I have never. Sir, there's no smoking. Sir, there's no smoking in there sir that's a public health risk sir Washington D.C. ordinance 763046
Starting point is 00:28:57 states that there's no smoking in public buildings you want some motherfucking boots boots up on Nancy's desk, man. Staring at her mail and shit. Did y'all hear about that? Yeah. And it turns out he got a PPP
Starting point is 00:29:13 loan. Like, own the feed store in Arkansas or some shit. Truly a triumph of the small business tyrants, man. Yeah. This was a working class revolt. Y'all should know that. Yeah, so
Starting point is 00:29:35 during this hours when we get the pictures of the guy at Nancy Pelosi's desk, the guy in the bear costume standing at the lectern, the guy carrying away Nancy Pelosi's Speaker of the House lectern, which in a very hilariously perfect social media moment, someone, I think Ryan Lizza had posted the photo of that guy carrying away the lectern, and it said, Via Getty, a rioter carries away the lectern, and people via getty a rider carries away the lectern and people online thought the guy's name was via getty that was the best that was the best thing i saw all day yesterday oh my god that that dude packing that thing looks so fucking deranged who
Starting point is 00:30:21 who called him via getty a bunch of people on twitter oh my god they were trying to find where he worked they were trying to get via getty fired i just i also also disgusting anti-semitism you know we live in hell man this era funny, though. It's just such poetic justice. Like, the same people that have been calling these people the dumbest people alive thought Via Getty was a person.
Starting point is 00:30:54 It's just idiocy on all sides. You know what I'm saying? Like, you had, like, Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer and the boys, like, making fun of their, like, choice of hotels and restaurants they're dining out at and shit like that. Like saying, when they go home to Outback Steakhouse and just doing
Starting point is 00:31:13 that kind of uppity shit. That gross classism. And all these motherfuckers think that Via Getty is a real thing. Okay. You've lost an election to these people and that who's the dumb one so so inside the building like i said you get those photos and shit um but then i guess this is when the police he says a minute ago i said word had not come down because
Starting point is 00:31:46 the cops were standing around milling about with the protesters he writes eventually word must have come down the cops started to smack through crowds with their batons and push them back they pepper sprayed people i don't know if you guys saw this but there was a video so this is during this moment i think is when the woman was shot. I think her name was Ashley Babbitt. She was like an Air Force veteran. Three other people died in like... I don't know. A guy might have tased himself to death or something. Yeah, he tased himself and had a heart attack and died.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Jesus Christ. My man. Truly champion. The cops... The officers retook the concourse outside the house side of the capital by using percussion grenades and tear gas they had a fire extinguisher that appeared to be filled with pepper spray that they would explode in people's faces to keep them outside by then rioters were using barricades to try to smash back through the doors they were trashing the place
Starting point is 00:32:41 outside again people were livid with the police they they chanted traitors and told them we had your back we're on your side but the cops just stood there solemnly in their riot gear um pretty uh pretty interesting that's like par for the course for like like protest shit anyway like absent whatever the hell you want to call this like that's just what that's what cops do it's like at like in one at one moment you know there's like that the cool one that's like yeah you just you know just keep it in line you know and then all of a sudden they just lose their shit once they get the call down then they just start fucking yeah breaking motherfuckers off switch flips yeah it's like a switch flip yeah and then like all these people been sucking their dick for fucking ever like experience that a little bit
Starting point is 00:33:28 i i had a a trump friend on facebook who at 1 p.m you can't make this shit up is hilarious at 1 p.m they said the revolution started it's finally here and then at 4 p.m they said these are obviously antifa people outsiders who came in yeah i'm gonna go ahead and say no um but so yeah so the the thing spills out into the outside you know and then i guess from like basically 5 p.m. onwards, you get the police basically doing their classic kettling people, shooting people with tear gas, all that stuff. And I kind of wanted to read... So The Nation published something as well, and it had a guy there who was recounting the whole thing. a guy there who was recounting the whole thing. The whole thing seems like it was just filled with so many different, you know, contradictory impulses, forces, movements, or whatever.
Starting point is 00:34:34 For some protesters, the mood was tense. That's wrong. I'm not trying to destroy the country. I'm trying to save the future. For many Trump supporters on 14th Street, it was a party. I'm ready for a daiquiri, a woman in Trump gear who looked to be in her 40s said. A pack of girlfriends cheered in agreement. Outside a liquor store, MAGA-clad protesters formed an orderly line.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Inside it was packed, shoppers struggling to manage both their flags and selected libations. A block further south at Freedom Plaza, the crowd ballooned and the anger became more palpable. Who here thinks the D.C. police will actually enforce the curfew tonight, one protestor called into a megaphone. He was answered by loud booing. They're not real police, the man continued. They're security guards for Washington.
Starting point is 00:35:21 For all the violence in the air, the mood was less coup and more college football tailgate. Pop songs blared from speakers. Somewhere snare drums went rat-a-tat. And the chants were so loud they rumbled in your chest. Among several common refrains, fight for Trump, fuck Mike Pence, Biden concede, long live the republic, Democrats are a cult. That's a little pot calling the kettle black. As much as I hate the Democrats, I have to, you know. All right.
Starting point is 00:35:52 30 minutes to curfew, riot police moved to push the crowd back. There were altercations. Protesters shoved and hit police, their faces all sweaty rage, but most, it seemed, didn't want to be gassed again. As they fell back, people took parting shots. Pigs, is this what we get for backing the blue? You just lost the only people in this country who stand behind you. They're not wrong about that one.
Starting point is 00:36:17 And then you get the kicker. This is one of the most incredible things I saw. One of the women said, this is not America. Her voice was shaking. She was crying, hysterical. They're shooting at us. They're supposed to shoot Black Lives Matter, but they're shooting the Patriots. Oh,
Starting point is 00:36:34 fuck. She cut straight to the point. Like, yeah, we know. She said the silent part out loud yeah i'm i'm not reading this i'm not reading this to like revel or celebrate in the cops like you know violent suppression of these people i'm just reading it because these people are fucking morons and uh and also though just to kind of highlight how fucking chaotic and like like, nonsensical it almost was.
Starting point is 00:37:06 I mean, once again, you have all these conflicting, seemingly adjacent forces coming into an area and then, you know, being thrown into this cauldron. And then the result is something chaotic, nonsensical, incoherent. I don't know. So I guess maybe this is where we can get into, like, what was this? A coup? A grassroots uprising? A fucking color revolution? An impeachment.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I'll start. I'll start. I'll start. I led a coup in 2007 against the LSU Tigers at Kroger Stadium, Lexington, Kentucky. at Kroger Stadium, Lexington, Kentucky. There were cries from my section as the Kentucky Wildcats went up 37-34 in the third overtime session. And I said, men, we have to take the field. I led a group down the concourse.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Others joined quickly. I got to the big retaining wall that leads, that's the difference between the stands and the field. And I stood up and I said, man, I gulped. I was like, that's a long way down. And I called to my friend. I said, can you catch me? And he said, of course I can.
Starting point is 00:38:15 You don't want to miss this moment. And I jumped down. He caught me in his arms. And then we took the field and we raised our hands in victory. We sent him back to Baton Rouge, letting them know. And let me tell you something. It was a powerful moment. That's what a coup is,
Starting point is 00:38:33 okay? Glad we cleared that up. That helped me out a lot. Yeah, I needed that clarification. Thank you. Thank you, Tim. Yeah. Well, but, so, for real, I needed that clarification. Thank you. Thank you, Tom. Yeah. Well, but so for real, I mean, does this fit your definition of it, Tom?
Starting point is 00:38:53 Hold on. Terrence, my edible might have kicked in, but what were you reading? What were you just reading? It was in The Nation. It's like an online magazine. I'm familiar, okay. I wasn't sure. It was just... Sorry, go ahead, Aaron.
Starting point is 00:39:14 No, if it was a coup, my whole thing is like, what did these people expect to happen? It feels like they were just kind of milling around, like literally just hanging out. were they waiting for trump or like the military or something to like suddenly be like all right hey you know we're gonna like officially stop the count like you know what i mean like i don't i don't know like if you could call it a coup, maybe like a siege, yeah, sure. But I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:51 What did people expect was going to happen? You know what I mean? Like you said, these people are just kind of fucking idiots. You know what I mean? Who were just reveling this opportunity, you know what I mean? To just fuck around in Nancy Pelosi's office, you know what I mean? And shit on these people that they've been taught to hate so y'all see the pictures of of people like scaling the walls and shit yeah yeah you know what i mean like people were like scaling the outside walls of the capitol building all that stuff man a lot of this stuff and i've believed
Starting point is 00:40:19 this since since day one even with like the whole trump country and cold drop stuff a lot of these motherfuckers are like they want to be part of the story right they want to get you know they want to be like part of the narrative or whatever it's like man you didn't have to scale the wall you could just walk up the steps but it doesn't make a good photo op you know what i'm saying exactly yeah so like a lot of this shit like nobody in eastern kentucky has ever believed like these cold jobs and shit are coming back, right? But the reason people really latched on to the Trump country thing is, like, they just wanted to be part of that story.
Starting point is 00:40:52 And I think this is, like, no different, man. It's just, like, these people just, like, whether right or wrong, and wrong in my estimation, have just, like, always felt, like, you you know like they don't matter or whatever and now they've got like they got a little bit of power and are they you know they're guys in office that they form this cult of personality around and like they're just flexing their nuts while before they are rendered irrelevant and you know one last time 15 days you know what i mean and i'm not saying they got their own facebook now right i'm not saying that like there's not fascistic elements and it's like but like i'm sorry i just don't like see this as like a sign of creeping fascism as much as i see it as just this sort of like really unwell people that have like been brainwashed into a cult the same way anybody's been brainwashed into a cult,
Starting point is 00:41:47 going and showing their ass, and then it went sideways. You know what I mean? When people were comparing this to Charlottesville, that's a fucking stupid one-to-one. That was people like us meeting these people that are saying, Jews will not replace us, all this kind of stuff, BLMs, domestic terrorists, or whatever, that's us meeting them in the streets you know what i mean that's like that's a very different thing from a bunch of chuds take a federal building you know i mean for for two hours and like they
Starting point is 00:42:13 basically it's some weird combination of a of a tour and a vandalism session you know what i mean that left that left a couple people dead you know fucking not at the museum if anything it was like menacingly absurd you know right right more so on the absurd side well they clearly did get in there and didn't know what the fuck to do you know they were like okay well we're in here and you know you could see this just just the people in the background of the pictures. It's just been so fucking oh my god. I gotta ask myself though if I was in that position
Starting point is 00:42:51 right? What the fuck would I be doing? And I'm not gonna lie like some of those people like that were just like hanging out like yo yeah I'd probably sit like you know like where the fucking vice president sits and just hang the fuck out and take pictures. I'd probably chill in Nancy Pelosi's office. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:43:07 Yeah, I would definitely steal Nancy's mail. Absolutely. I'd be flashing that trying to get ass because I had Nancy Pelosi's mail I'd stole from her office. Absolutely. I think I ought to rub my doo-doo ass on a priceless artifact.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Just to say that like my DNA is forever imbued in this piece of history. My doodoo's on George Washington crossing the Delaware now. Did you know that about your granddaddy? Man, I wonder if anybody fucked. Do you think anybody went there and fucked on a desk? That'd be
Starting point is 00:43:43 something to do. hope so tiny chill out a waste opportunity well i mean they literally are just i guarantee we we should actually skim porn hub and see if anyone posted some masturbation video or something in nancy's office yeah vertical recorded vertically Yeah Jesus Well I mean I don't know if you guys saw this
Starting point is 00:44:14 There was a story that came out yesterday That said that they're not sure what was stolen There was a bunch of shit stolen And it could have like National security shit on it You know what i mean and you're telling me the capital doesn't have an inventory of their bullshit bro you got you got a trillion a trillion dollar fucking pentagon you let a guy on a buffalo skin still like
Starting point is 00:44:36 the ark of the covenant come on it reminds me you know what it reminds me of it reminds me of when like Ammon Bundy and those dudes like stormed a federal building in Oregon or whatever it's very similar in my opinion
Starting point is 00:44:56 yes very similar it's dudes with it's like people with means who are either petty booze or actual booze I mean I don't want to say that. I don't want to make a generalization and say what the class composition of this thing was. It's stupid because we don't know. Exactly. Yeah, we just don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:15 We can guess, but yeah, it's just that. It does feel like in this country, you have periodic moments of right-wing revolt. The founding revolution itself was a right-wing revolt, more or less, by people with means. Some of y'all are not ready to have that conversation. Well, the funny thing... Some of y'all are not ready to talk about Benjamin Franklin's interest in the Dutch East India Company. Yeah, working class hero, huh? Founding father.
Starting point is 00:45:54 The funny thing about that is there's that famous Thomas Jefferson quote about how the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants or whatever. And it's like, clearly this fucking dude did not mean that but as soon as this popped off yesterday or when a couple days ago i immediately went to ran paul's twitter to see what he was saying because i feel like ran paul is the perfect distillation of all of those like of that guy yeah it's like a fucking optometrist that's all the time spouting off about blood and soil platitude shit. Yeah. And got his ass kicked by his fucking dentist neighbor or some shit.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Yeah, and what did he say? What did he say? He said, this violence is unacceptable. Like, are you fucking kidding me, dude? Bro, yeah, you can't throw bricks and hide your head. You can't be talking all this blood and soil shit for eight goddamn years and then like when somebody takes a shot at your head or whatever which they weren't yeah but like you know what i mean when it when when the shit hits your doorstep now you want to disavow that shit yeah when this shit pops off right you take a couple steps back
Starting point is 00:46:57 yeah yeah yeah the pearl clutching it's been really something to behold yeah we gotta invoke the 25th yeah like motherfucker where where was where were what we all invoking when they were like murdering motherfuckers in the street when heather hair got killed all this shit yeah you know what i mean y'all could have pulled this motherfucker a long time ago but it wasn't politically expedient for you to do so and but now now it is now he's now he's poison yeah yeah jesus fucking christ man no you you're right so wednesday night people reconvened in congress and they were giving speeches about how unacceptable this was we've all got to come together um blah blah blah we've got to unite and you had like uh i think betsy devos
Starting point is 00:47:46 resigned like mike pence apparently was making moves against i mean like chad we're going to resign yeah she resigned secretary what is she transportation transportation yeah let me ask you a question what do y'all think about this what do you think about the idea that like not that this necessarily this was staged, but this is like sort of been leveraged as like, like, you know, the parachute for like the normal Republicans that had hitched their wagon to the Trump thing. This is their escape pod. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:17 Like, oh, this is a bridge too far now. And it's like, like right at the perfect timing, like Ted Cruz and whoever else just like, you know. Meanwhile, like less than 24 hours before you know i'm saying you got josh holly like raising up his fist to all these fucking people oh yeah yeah well i mean if you can't tell josh holly's bitch man i mean i don't want to tell you well you're right uh so mike davis, who was writing about this, you know, like what's going to happen as a result of this, whether this was a realignment within the within the Republican Party or like how all this is going to play out. And I thought he made a pretty good point. You know, he basically divided into two sort of camps now after trump um he said
Starting point is 00:49:06 institutionally senate republicans with a strong roster of young talents will rule the post-trump camp and via vicious darwinian competition above all the battle to replace mcconnell bring about a generational succession probably before the democrats octogenarian oligarchy has left the scene the major internal battle on the post trump side in the next few years will probably center on foreign policy in the new cold war with china he's basically he's talking about on this side you've got more moderate republicans and their friends within like the um you know these interest groups like i don't know if you guys saw this but a few days leading up to this this massive interest like lobbying group with you know clients like exxon and shit had come out against trump
Starting point is 00:49:50 you know just in the last couple days leading up to this you're right tom everybody basically turned on him um and was basically throwing him under the bus because it's finally politically expedient to do so right um but then uh mike writes on the other side of the split um he says it's more dramatic the true trumpists have become a de facto third party bunkered down heavily in the house of representatives as trump embalms himself in bitter revenge fantasies reconciliation between the two camps will probably become impossible although individual defections may occur mar-a-lago will become base camp for the trump death cult which will continue to mobilize his hardcore followers to terrorize republican
Starting point is 00:50:30 primaries and ensure the preservation of a large die-hard contingent in the house as well as in red state legislatures and i think this is true because yesterday thursday i trump finally conceded right he finally conceded after a fucking month and a half or whatever. And the thing he said at the very end of that concession speech, which was pretty piss weak, which is pretty funny. He said, the fight is not over. I mean, this will continue going. This is just the beginning. That's what he said.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Yeah. Like, motherfucker, you about to leave office? What the fuck does that mean? That shit was cryptic as fuck, man. But yeah, this is like the evolution of the Tea Party, you know? Yeah. Yeah, it really is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Except, like, somehow more terrifying. The thing about it that's going to be, like, heartbreaking for all these fucking chuds is that when Trump goes back into the straight world and realizes he's a pariah and realizes that he has to, like, you that he has to he's got work to do to be invited to the Emmys again or whatever. You know what I mean? He's going to disavow all these people
Starting point is 00:51:35 quicker than shit. You don't want all this fucking trash followers and all that kind of stuff. Or maybe on the other end of that, I'm wrong. And he just leans into it and starts his own. He gets a show on Newsmax or some shit.
Starting point is 00:51:56 And these are his viewing base. I don't know. I could imagine him being vain enough to not condemn, not, like, condemn any of these people, you know. Or, like, even really deny it, but just, like, yeah, lean into it, you know. Have his own little TV network. Have that part of his ego, like, waxed continuously. Yeah. I could see that.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Yeah. I mean, there was a poll that was kind of circulating yesterday about how 45 percent of Republicans approved of this. And you're right, Tanya, like the pearl clutching was so insufferable. Like on CNN, they were saying 72. How did 72 million people in this country vote for him? And it's like, motherfuckers, you had four years for how many explainers did we have to read of Trump country and why these people vote against their interests and blah, blah, blah? And you still couldn't figure it out in four fucking years.
Starting point is 00:52:52 It's just, I don't know, it's just so maddening. Oh, man. And then you are for Joe Biden who crept across the finish line, man. Yeah, but no, this will be, you know, the sad part about this, Biden crept across the finish line, man. Yeah. But no, this will be, you know, the sad part about this, the most fucked up thing about it is, well, there's a lot of things about it. I think maybe one of them is that maybe they feel emboldened or I don't know. We were kind of speculating in our group chat about like,
Starting point is 00:53:20 will this inspire people? You know what I mean? I really do wonder like people who are sort of disaffected and who are so fed up with the system if they'll be like wow wow those people you know managed to fucking storm the goddamn capital yeah smarter people than these you know what i mean will like be like wow hmm you know what i mean that's like the real danger it's i don't think it's like the danger that like these people are going to like coalesce into like some sort of like homegrown terrorist movement or anything but yeah you're right it could inspire like you know smarter people than them to do crazy shit
Starting point is 00:53:56 yeah i just think like you know that that element of trump space has always been there in the republican party and it's going to need to find somewhere to go. There definitely is going to be a contingent of this metastasized Tea Party but a Trump kind of wing that are going to throw more fuel onto the fire.
Starting point is 00:54:18 I don't think people like Ted Cruz or Josh Hawley know what they're fucking with. Basically like the squad but for chutz yeah yeah exactly exactly like i don't think they know what they're fucking with man they're playing with fire right now yeah they don't man they think well i mean what it's pure ambition on the part of these guys right it's like they don't give a fuck about that they just want to be president yeah they just want to like fulfill their like childhood fantasies by the most egregious means possible,
Starting point is 00:54:46 and nothing else matters. Meanwhile, I'm putting my doo-doo ass on Washington crossing the Delaware, baby. Hell yeah. Yeah, I think the takeaway, though, is that this will absolutely be used by the Dems to pass some sort of, you know, like Biden was saying, domestic terrorism law. I mean, the Democrats are really good at this.
Starting point is 00:55:16 They are really good at expanding police powers, prosecuting people for even, you know, vaguely dabbling with radical politics. And it'll absolutely be turned on the left. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's to defang us. It's to have an excuse not to rock the boat too much policy-wise for this manufactured fear that these people are going to rise up
Starting point is 00:55:40 if we do anything that's going to benefit anybody. if we do anything, you know. Yeah. It's going to benefit anybody. Yeah, it's like this started like a weird new epoch of like even more depressing like ineffectualness from like the federal government. It was really a paradigm shift where like it's going to be a complete rejection of populism, right?
Starting point is 00:56:02 Like it's going to be a vindication of, well, this is why we couldn't have bernie you know it'd be like well uh you'll have people that'll be making excuses for joe biden and the democratic party well did you you saw what happened when trump you know left office you know we don't want to go too extreme in that direction and it's just going to be like draconian as fuck yeah yeah and in the bern movement, which was like so powerful, so moving in so many ways that we're all part of, we're going to be rendered to history in the same way these fuckers will be.
Starting point is 00:56:33 They'll remember us. Yeah, like some kid will say, yeah, that was a Bernie supporter wore a buffalo skin inside the Capitol building and stole a flagpole or whatever. You know what I mean? Well. Yeah, go ahead. No, you go ahead.
Starting point is 00:56:54 I was just going to say it in the same way that nobody really knows who Pocahontas' English husband was. You know what I mean? Was it John Smith or John Rolfe? Was it Bernie or was it Trump? You know, all that kind of shit we have Joseph Q. Robinette Biden to thank for that
Starting point is 00:57:10 Biden is like the daddy he's like the mediator between both extreme sides who will also work with Republicans to get things done we got so okie doke it pisses me off how okie doke we got with the bernie thing man yeah man like not he okie doke just but like we've really had something there and it
Starting point is 00:57:33 i mean it's more it's more depressing looking at like the things that are transpiring now and then looking forward to a biden administration and it like that's why even the senate race is in georgia i mean everything that had happened it's just like i have this like looming dread or anxiety about like not just like even the next four years but the next year ahead you know and i mean yesterday was just like sort of i don't know we're in like this liminal space now with our politics where it's like those trump people are gonna have to go somewhere and also too like this actually happened like it was so surreal like i know that word's been overused but i was watching like the news all fucking day which
Starting point is 00:58:16 i never do and just seeing this shit and sort of kind of being a little bit like not jealous but like yo goddamn these motherfuckers actually did this shit yeah I mean but of course you know I mean same it's you know it's just it's like a it's like a dream to be able to do something like that
Starting point is 00:58:38 and it's like there's something that's so exhilarating about it they tripped and fell into it that's how it feels. It's just like we were out here sweating our dicks off all summer in the fucking streets.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Risking life and lungs, shot, tear gassed, everything else. These motherfuckers just had like the two biggest limp dick cops just pull the bear's face back and fuck it. Yeah, the nicest things cops did for us this summer was steal our water sources right that was the nicest they ever were oh my god i i think it just it just goes to show you and it provides more proof and i think leftists
Starting point is 00:59:22 really should beat this home it really provides more proof that those people truly do view us as the true threat to power and they don't view those people as a threat to power they think that whether wrongly or rightly when they got to the cap yeah they think that i think that they think they can control that like and that it doesn't really i mean which they're kind of right because i guess let's say for example this was a coup and it was successful and they managed to install the bear dude as president or whatever i would imagine that the things that they want to implement aren't really all that different from what the government's already doing and so well that's what it was it's like they just want to
Starting point is 01:00:05 matter yeah they literally showed up to demand that things stay exactly the same as they are the cops literally rolled out the red carpet and let them walk right the fuck on in man it's like how does yeah that's it like they want trump to stay rain reign for 100 years. Like, continue to tax us. Continue to hate us. Continue this pandemic. Right. Please, no checks. No $600.
Starting point is 01:00:38 We don't want $2,000. Where the grand potentate is the buffalo skin guy. And Trump, like an unsentient Trump, like uploaded consciousness like fucking Oz in Wizard of Oz or something. Like a god kid. The dude from Power Rangers, like the talking head that would give the Power Rangers their order. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:00:58 And he's just like... And meanwhile, we're on mutation number 174 of COVID-19 in the year whatever. Oh, God. The U.S. population is now 16 million. It's like the goddamn stand, but just with the incompetence. Future to believe in, truly. Yeah. yeah um well i guess if there were any like working class people in that you know who did receive the um the brutal end of the police behavior uh i guess i just have to tell
Starting point is 01:01:41 you like they don't give a fuck regardless. I don't know. That's the weird thing about it. It's so hard to tease out any sort of through line from it other than chaos ensued. And journalists are scared to death of the dumbest people alive. Y'all think anybody's go to jail? Because like I saw this article or something where there were pictures, photos like surveillance photos
Starting point is 01:02:11 of like you know people that were there but honestly I don't think anybody, I mean a handful of people maybe that have become more publicized. Well Via Getty's definitely getting cuffed. Via Getty straight to Guantanamo. He's getting cuffed and stuff.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Ain't no doubt about that. Well, I mean, they even set the curfew, which every time they've set a curfew this year was so that they could mass arrest us. But they set a curfew, and I think I heard they arrested 50 people. I'm sure in D.C. 50 people get arrested on any given night. For smoking weed? Yeah, for being homeless. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:52 Well, I did see where Internet detectives, Internet sleuths were like. You mean FBI posted on Twitter asking for leads? FBI posting on Twitter asking for leads. Well, maybe more like Patricia Arquette posting at 3 a.m. in L.A. trying to get people fired from their jobs, which is what literally people were doing online. They were pouring through surveillance footage and getting people fired from their jobs. It's just like, is that really where we're at, man?
Starting point is 01:03:23 Yeah, yeah. You think that's gonna like disabuse them of their beliefs or something like you're gonna get them fired and they're gonna just be like oh i see the error of my ways no i'm gonna be a leftist like that's not gonna fucking happen or as if there aren't like a thousand other people exactly like them right behind you know well here's my question here's my question for everybody that's like that like demands you take a hard line on like is this fascism is this not is this a coup or is this not like what's your plan to to deal with these people like in our ideal world when we take power
Starting point is 01:03:56 like you think that's good like like what what does just stoking that level of anxiety actually do in practice yeah you know what i mean this current moment you mean yeah like what's your plan you know what i mean like they all need to be happy half these motherfuckers that i hear talking about like you got to call it what it is and all that kind of stuff and i'm not against that out of hand i'm not but like all these motherfuckers that are just like yo you got to take a heart this is a coup this is fascist this is whatever it's like you motherfuckers have never met like, yo, you gotta take a heart. This is a coup. This is fascist. This is whatever. It's like, you motherfuckers have never met one of these people that you didn't arrange an interview with.
Starting point is 01:04:29 So shut the fuck up. God. Yeah. I mean, they need to be hospitalized. That's what needs to happen. They need to be hospitalized. Yeah, you have to discipline them. Somehow. You have to correct them like children i i don't know i hate them i guess it's to me there's a continuity from like the bush era to now
Starting point is 01:04:58 oh you mean that guy who lived through the iraq war yeah yeah that's my thing why was that not fascism i i you know what i mean like it was but we hadn't learned that word yet tom it hadn't come up in our scrabble it wasn't grotesque it wasn't outwardly grotesque it was just dopey well that's the thing like thing. This event will finally provide the evidence for people to finally say, see, Trump is the most dangerous fascist president we've ever had. And I just, I'm sorry, unless he nukes an American city tomorrow, nothing he did will ever come close to babies being just melted by white phosphorus by fucking an entire region
Starting point is 01:05:48 just being absolutely destabilized and destroyed I'm sorry you're not going to convince me otherwise like it's they're both fascism I fully grant you that there's a line of continuity it's not like it's just crawled out of nowhere it's like 72 million people
Starting point is 01:06:04 voted for him oh my god it's just like where the fuck crawled out of nowhere it's like 72 million people voted for him oh my god it's just like where the fuck were you the last 20 years yeah exactly yeah where some of the same people these liberals right we're cheering on the iraq war right yeah that's what they lined up behind yeah it's oh yeah voted for it war is not fascism though that's not it wasn't fascism it's not fucking that that's economy honey yeah economics baby yeah genociding people fucking yeah we're spreading freedom honey fucking murdering the goddamn rescue cats of relief workers over there just for meanness like yeah the fuck do you think that is yeah go ahead no i i don't have anything to say other than that it just sickens me it just
Starting point is 01:06:53 fucking sickens to me to see this like rally around the flag in the last 24 hours like we're better than this we can come together and we can kick out the mean nasty man and it just becomes a scapegoat for every fucked up impulse that this country has funneled into its imperial war machine in the last 40 years yeah and you know what was really cynical about it too on top of that it's like you know they they were trying they were making the case to say oh um you know these people are not protesters right like look at the look at the level of treatment versus blm protesters over the summer right where some people were like clapping for but to me it was just like cynical right oh it's so bleak yeah it's so fucking bleak like you know like i think
Starting point is 01:07:36 it was enough of this wolf blitzer asking like uh mayor bowser she's the mayor of dc how she felt like how oh would uh blm protesters have been treated the same way it's like motherfucker you don't care yeah exactly yeah you didn't say shit when that shit was happening like fucking six months ago man you don't give a fuck now yeah it's it's just online point scoring and shit it's just it's more impostering yeah that's all it is man that's all it is also let me just say something like if you're brain addled like we are and you spend way too much time online bickering about left politics and stuff i'm just just i just listen i'm not the smartest guy that ever existed
Starting point is 01:08:18 i don't claim to be but if you call yourself a leftist and you've been having you've been doing these little guillotine fantasies online forever and then you start using words like sedition and treason like you need to get all the way the fuck out yeah yeah you know what i'm saying at the end of the day at the end of the day it was people in congress who are the worst people in the world getting their wig split pissing their pants and that shit is fucking funny it's not funny that it was delivered to them by people who we hate exactly and it's not funny that we're going to bear the brunt of that fuck this stupidity no we already are i mean it did like you said terrence it didn't take hours it was literally in minutes they were already like oh this must have been antiques yeah literally as soon as the optics were not on their side yep but that fear was legitimate though like the the true the true fear that these like people had these elected officials had like that was that was i don't know that was unprecedented somebody drew oh so online somebody drew the analogy to like you know
Starting point is 01:09:28 just like oh were you scared like why not spending a day in a fucking middle school under a school shooting it's just like and you've fucking done nothing about any of that like yeah yeah yeah that's true yeah we let fucking at sandy hook we let fucking seven-year-olds get fucking they're get fucking murdered by the scores and it's just whatever whatever maybe we need to just give thoughts and prayers these fucking cocksuckers sorry sorry friends that oh my god oh well breaking news pelosi contacts U.S. military officer to warn of unstable president launching nuclear strike. So maybe he will. What?
Starting point is 01:10:09 Hell yeah. What? God damn. Now, that's not. Are you serious? It's just the posture. They're just doing this because they're trying to get him ousted in the last two weeks. It's the bottom of the ninth, they're gonna fucking make their brave stand
Starting point is 01:10:25 finally, you know. Recorded in history. Watch us say that and like they take Detroit off the map and like we have to come back here next week and be like we gotta eat a little crow this week. If he's got a
Starting point is 01:10:41 if he's got a trigger, just nuke Whitesburg, man. Fuck fuck it i don't care yeah same i'll go out i'll go out take us out hey that's my hometown i'll go out like stan in my hot tub oh my god oh yeah what do y'all make of his video what do y'all make of his little video he posted which one was it this very special it was the conspiracy i think that was his concession speech is that what it's being deemed i think so because i don't think he explicitly said i concede but he kind of danced around he said there'll be a new administration yeah yeah that's how you put it that's Ivanka yo you know you know what was like surprising about that though is like I know he's flailing right now like literally is like just like cannot imagine that he's actually going to be like
Starting point is 01:11:35 leaving you know and that he didn't win so like I'm wondering like what was it that made him finally relent and come out and even like, like a little bit vaguely admit to like having lost, you know? Cause that video was like, you know, obviously he's bullshitting. But you know,
Starting point is 01:11:54 it was good. I've been asking myself this too. Like someone set him down and had a very stern conversation with him because that shit that dude, I mean the, there is a deep state, not in the way these trump people think there is right but there is a larger military apparatus and when they see fucking people storming the capitol building because the president refused to concede refuses to concede yeah they finally sat him down and had a very stern conversation. You think they waterboarded him a little bit last night?
Starting point is 01:12:31 I think that they were basically like, you know, look, this is... We're gonna have to kill you. We're gonna cancel your reality show a little bit. They definitely don't want that. No, no. Y'all want to talk about the pussy hat people bombing post offices?
Starting point is 01:12:53 That'd look like Easter Sunday compared to this shit. Best thing the deep state should do to Trump is just just just policy of containment yeah yeah they ever pop that motherfucker they lived regretted you're gonna start fucking the second civil war they'll just have a full-time job for the next 20 years yeah just these psychos out in fucking random ass like locations across the country oh my god yeah i bet it was rudy i bet really juliana called him i was like we gotta pack it up bub that was funny when you saw it say when rudy giuliani left a voicemail for tommy tuberville and he left it on the wrong answering machine they're like just stall just hold it up there's more information coming i promise no i i would have loved to have been in the room when yeah when somebody's finally set him down and
Starting point is 01:13:52 said we're not fucking around with you okay i gotta say something i gotta say something if you would have told me now i know we do these kinds of, like, things all the time. Okay, everybody does. But truly, something that just boggles my mind. If you would have told me this fucking greasy-ass hero of 9-11-ass fucking piece-of-shit mayor was conspiring with the coach of the 2003 Auburn Football Tigers, debatably the national champions that year, to basically low-key try to keep the former host of The Apprentice in the highest office in the country. I mean, it's like Charlie Murphy, true Hollywood stories, man.
Starting point is 01:14:43 You can't make that. A lot of good storytellers in the world today you can't make that shit up oh shit you just started yo that that that uh that's a good note to go out on yeah a year ago we were like damn man trump killed uh costum solomone that's just wow that's got we had no idea what we were in for oh that's funny the bam shots baby oh fuck well thanks for listening this week.
