The following program is made possible by the faithful prayers and financial support of listeners just like you.
To find out how you can help, visit nothing but the truth, so help us God.
I'm Rick Wiles.
I will give you some very true news today.
Jesus Christ will return to earth someday to gather his elect.
Every day that passes brings usings us one day closer.
To the second advent.
Of Jesus Christ.
The one thought that consumes my mind.
Every day is the awareness.
That most of the 8 billion people.
Alive on planet earth.
In 2022.
Are not saved.
They have never believed in the name of Jesus Christ.
They have never been baptized the name of Jesus Christ. They have never been baptized into his church. They are not ready for the day of the Lord. The New Testament Bible is mainly
about being ready for the final day. But you wouldn't know it by listening to many of the
sermons preached these days, there is a troubling lack
of urgency in many modern churches about the Lord's return. The clergy and the congregations
don't seem eager for Christ to return soon. They act like they are content to live longer without
Him. Tragically, that day will catch billions of souls unprepared for a
sudden global calamity, divine judgment, and eternal punishment for the wicked and unbelievers
and those not prepared. If you ask Christians to describe the primary mission of John the Baptist, most people would say, to baptize people. Yes,
John the Baptist baptized multitudes in the Jordan River. However, baptisms were not his
primary mission. His purpose was, according to Luke chapter 1 verse 17, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Not everybody. His
assignment was to make ready a people. And for what was this specific group of people made ready?
They were to be prepared for the Lord. And how did John make them ready and prepared? He preached repentance, baptism, and straight living.
The third chapter of the gospel, according to St. Matthew, says,
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
and saying, Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Elijah, saying,
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his path straight.
Early Christians were known initially as people of the way. What was the way and whose way was it? They followed the way of Jesus. He instructed the
apostles to teach people to walk the straight and narrow path through life in this sinful, wicked,
lustful, carnal, vile, greedy, violent, bloody, selfish world. His disciples can only keep their souls unsullied by contact with this filthy world
by walking his way. Repentance is a daily necessity. Indeed, it is an hourly one. Millions
of traditional Orthodox Christians around the world pray the Jesus prayer throughout each day. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God,
have mercy on me, a sinner. Unbeknownst to most members of American evangelical and Christian
Zionist churches in this country, each Sunday millions of traditional Orthodox Christians also sing the Keri Elesson, Lord have mercy. Elesson is the
Greek word for have mercy. It's found in many church liturgies. It shares the same Greek root
word, which means oil from an olive tree. In the book of Genesis, Noah released birds from the ark to seek land.
A dove brought Noah a twig from an olive tree.
Thousands of years later, the image of a dove holding an olive tree twig in its beak is still a symbol of mercy, forgiveness, peace, and love.
The way of the Lord is mercy, forgiveness, peace, love, and holiness.
God sent John the Baptist to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. He made them ready for the
Lord by showing them the way. After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, his disciples were called people of the way. His way has not changed.
It is the same today. If the Holy Bible instructs us to prepare ourselves for his second appearance
on earth, we must first prepare his way. The true church on earth should be in a perpetual state of repentance, mercy, forgiveness, peace, love, and holiness.
Be ready.
That day will come suddenly when you least expect it.
Now, the New Testament Bible is mainly about being ready for the final day.
But as I said, you wouldn't know it by listening to many of the
sermons preached these days. That's why this ministry is making a pivot this year. And we're
spending less time telling people about the news of what is happening in the world and what is
facing us. But we're spending more time this year making people ready, preparing the body of Christ, because we're at a place now
that really knowing more news isn't going to help you much. I mean, how much of this stuff do you
need to know? What you need to know is the Word of God. What you need to know is how to trust God what you
need to know is how to rely on the Lord for every single thing that you need see
there will be a day and it could happen this year because right now this war
between Ukraine and Russia if this thing is not settled diplomatically in the next
two to three months, we could very likely be in an all-out war with Russia by the end of this year.
And maybe a war with Russia and China and Iran. This thing could get ugly very fast. The world is changing. And what can happen is,
right now, this is summertime. People are content. Everybody's relaxed and laid back.
They're taking their vacations. They're spending time with family. It's summertime. We all love the summertime. But winter is coming.
And few people are aware of how things are spiraling out of control in the world.
And suddenly, circumstances will change overnight.
And a lot of people will be caught off guard because they weren't prepared for it.
They weren't prepared physically for it, financially.
Most of all, they weren't prepared spiritually.
There's only so much that you and I can do
to physically prepare for these things,
and if we think about it, we'll become stressed,
and Jesus said, don't let your hearts be troubled.
Don't be anxious for anything.
Your father knows what you need. And so I have to, myself, I have to tell myself,
Rick, chill out. All right. You can't get ready for all this stuff. You have to trust the Lord.
And that's my advice to you. The main thing you and I need to do right now is to build up our faith, build up our stockpile of the word of God. Many of you have food and supply stockpiled,
but you've been lacking in stockpiling the word of God. You've been lacking in spending private quality time with your Heavenly Father
to hear His still voice. These are the things
that we should be doing right now because trouble is up ahead
and it is going to come upon this world quickly
this fall and winter. And so Doc and I, we both feel
impressed by the Lord to spend more time teaching
faith and obedience and trust and how to look to God for every single thing that we need.
Now, several weeks ago, I think it was July 18, I made a challenge.
And I said, I want you to ask God for miracle money.
And it would arrive by August 31st.
Now, there's been different reactions.
Some people jumped on it right away, and they got miracle money immediately.
Other people are kind of like, what is this all about?
And there's a few that have just said, this is ridiculous.
I can't believe you're doing it.
Well, I am doing it.
I'm not doing it primarily because there's going to be money coming to you and to us.
I mean, that's a byproduct.
That definitely is going to happen.
The main purpose for it, the main purpose is to teach you, to show you, to demonstrate to you that God will meet every need.
That he's active in your life.
That he's doing things. This God who made the universe, this great creator who keeps the universe operating all day long has the time to provide miracle money for you.
He has the time to schedule that you will discover a hundred dollar bill lying on the side of the road. He has time to tell an auditor in a company,
you overcharged them eight years ago. Go open up that file and find that mistake and send a refund.
That is awesome to me that our God, our Heavenly Father, has time to do these things, these small things for us.
This is why I'm asking people to take this challenge,
because you're going to come away not only with money in your pocket, money in your hands,
you're going to come away with a knowledge that God is doing things in real time in your life.
When's the last time you've seen God do something in your life?
Think about it.
When is the last time you've testified to friends and neighbors and coworkers and strangers?
When's the last time you've just talked about Jesus Christ and said, let me tell you what he did for me?
When's the last time?
You might, maybe if you're honest, you're thinking, I can't remember the last time I talked about the Lord.
I can't remember the last time I testified.
You know why?
Because nothing's been happening in your life.
OK, it doesn't mean you're not saved. It doesn't mean the Lord doesn't love you.
It means you're not approaching God with faith and expectation.
Therefore, the Lord isn't doing anything because without faith, it is impossible to please the Lord.
Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.
So, He turns His attention to men and women and children who have faith.
Because it pleases him.
And the way you get your daddy's attention is to do something that he loves.
And what he loves is seeing his children have faith in him.
And that immediately gets his attention
and brings a smile to his face
and favor comes from his being.
And he just speaks favor upon you.
That's what Doc and I are trying to teach you right now.
Now, we've only been doing this since July 18,
and every day we're getting letters and emails from people who watch True News
who are saying, we took you up on this challenge,
and miracle money came instantly sometimes within an hour
sometimes 24 hours 48 hours but we're getting these stories from all over not only just the usa
but in other countries people writing to us saying it works in our country too. I asked Doc to bring some real testimonies that had been sent to us in the past 48
hours and I want him to read these to you so that you can
see and hear that people just like you who watch
True News ask for miracle money and
received it quickly. So Doc, what do we have from our audience today?
I wish, you know, you could take the whole hour reading these.
We have so many that have come in.
We selected just a few to help build up your faith today.
This is from James.
He said, a friend won a small settlement, and he gave me $200 for helping out all the time when he was struggling financially.
Thanks, Rick.
And True News team, miracle money in Jesus' name. And so
claiming that for us today. This is from Kent and Bridget. Miracle money for you, Rick. My husband
and I took no time to make the vow to our father for miracle money. I believe it was two days after
we made the vow, a check showed up in the mail for $1,500 for a tax refund. My husband knew the
check was coming, but didn't know when it would show up.
He made a vow to God that whatever the amount would be,
we would give half to the kingdom of God
through your miracle money offer.
As I said, it came less than two days after the vow.
Thank you, brother, for this amazing and unique opportunity,
and that is an opportunity to increase our faith
and rely and know that our Heavenly Father
will provide for His children.
We are eagerly anticipating more miracle money in the time frame you've made.
Thank you with all our hearts.
We love you and Doc so much.
May the Lord bless your socks off.
I like that.
Your brother and sister in Christ Jesus.
That's Kent and Bridget.
This is from Ashley here.
Hi, True News team.
I've been a longtime listener and donate a small amount monthly to True News. I've been listening since 2009 and have heard Rick talk about Miracle Money in the past.
I participated once before and Miracle Money did come in. We were going through a rough season
financially and I made the excuse, well, I already give monthly and we really need all of this.
I was so convicted after that. Since then, I've heard Rick talk of miracle money a couple times
and I was beating myself over what I'd
done before. Now this time, I
apologized to God and said, if I could have
another chance, I will give.
A few days after, I said that we got
a random Christmas letter that had
gotten lost in the mail.
Now listen to this. And it
had $200 in it. Wait a minute, Doc.
This is July.
Right.
That Christmas card is mailed in December.
Yes, and it had gotten lost in the mail and had $200 in it.
So here I am being faithful and giving my 50%.
Thank you for all the hard work you all do daily in order to reach the lost and hurting.
May God continue to bless you in these times as we watch biblical prophecy unfold before our very eyes.
You know, Doxy, I believe that the all-seeing eyes of the Lord knew where that envelope was at the entire time.
I believe it too.
It was lost somewhere in a post office.
Yes.
And who knows where?
Who knows where that letter was stuck?
Right.
Since December.
But the Lord knew where it was at.
And knew when it could be delivered to her.
Yes, and he was waiting on Ashley to ask and to say,
the other time I didn't give the money to True News when you gave it to me.
See, that's the situation she had there.
She asked for miracle money years before.
She received it, but she didn't send it.
Then she felt guilty about it,
and she said, I'm going to do it this time.
And then the Lord released the Christmas card money.
Yes.
Now, you might say, well,
that letter would have shown up anyhow.
How do you know that?
That letter could have been under a barrel, a container, someplace in a post office in a small town.
It could have stayed there for the next 10 years.
We don't know where it was at, but the Holy Spirit knew where it was at,
and the Holy Spirit inspired somebody to find it and you know what i thought was interesting about uh ashley's uh
email there was that she withheld from god before because she thought she had a greater need and
god was withholding from her right now too yes there is a principle there and something to think
about and so but she passed a test But she passed the test. Yes.
She passed the test. That's right.
She gets it now.
She understands it.
And now that she's given, the flow will continue to come to her.
We have another one.
This is from Cindy here.
And Cindy writes, I know this isn't much, but it's a Miracle Money donation,
hopefully the first of more to come.
My son paid me the last payment for a wash machine I bought for him.
It had been so long ago that I'd forgotten about it.
Thank you for your teaching on miracle money.
I used to pray like this for money all the time
in years past.
I'd gotten away from it.
But your teaching has restored my faith
to do this again.
And that's what's sending.
And this is important too, Rick,
in that this isn't being taught out there.
Faith isn't being taught in the churches.
In a lot of Christian media, it's not being taught.
People are basically being entertained
in a lot of these outlets now.
Church and radio and TV.
Yes, and you need to be challenged to use your faith.
We all become faith-resistant, faith-lazy, all of us.
Right.
And we have to be challenged.
And that's what I'm doing right now.
I'm just challenging people,
do something that requires faith
and watch what God does.
Another one, this is from Nicole.
Nicole writes,
Miracle money, I just prayed yesterday.
I believe a refund came in
and that I did not expect to go on my card
for $72.57.
I'm sending half to True News.
Praise Jesus for answered prayers.
And thank you for unwavering faith and dedication to spreading soul winning news and encouraging the body of Christ.
This is from David.
And David writes, hello, Rick and True News family.
Found my miracle money today.
On the way to the gas station,
I started to expect my miracle money.
So the expectation was there, Rick.
Sure enough, walked in the store,
looked down and found $5.
Here is $3 as agreed.
Thank you for all you do.
Keep up the good work.
I hope you all have an amazing day.
And here's some other various ones here
from Jeremy, miracle money
from an unexpected insurance refund. Miracle money from an unexpected insurance refund.
Miracle money from John.
My wife received an unexpected bonus.
Destra, miracle money found today while out doing errands in New York.
And so people, they started operating in the expectation of receiving.
And that's a critical component of faith too, right?
It is.
And you're up to three.
Yes. So I had an insurance refund that was from 2016, no, 2018. That was for 500 and some odd dollars, 500 and change. Then I received a refund on a title settlement from 2016.
And then I also received, this is all in the same week,
someone I don't know, had never met,
had, I have no clue who they are.
I've emailed them and asked, do I know you?
Had sent me money via PayPal.
You don't know the person?
I don't know the person.
They sent me money directly to PayPal.
And I forgot that I even haven't
had a PayPal account because I hadn't
used it in so long.
And so I looked in there and someone
had sent me some
money. Praise God. Three times.
So that was happening in one way. But you know
what? I still have an expectation
that God's going to do even more, Rick,
because we got plenty of time.
Oh, yeah.
We've got until the end of August.
We've got the end, and there's no reason it has to stop when you get into September.
Just keep a good thing going.
Doc and I have been studying two miracles that are in the Old Testament.
These are obscure stories.
Few people remember.
You know, they might say,
yeah, you know what, years ago I remember
hearing about this in a Sunday school class.
But these stories are not taught very often
and they come from 2 Kings.
It's chapter 4.
And I want to talk to, we're going to split it up into two parts,
and we'll start with chapter 4, verses 38 to 41.
And this is from 2 Kings here, a story of Elisha.
And Elisha came again to Gilgal, and there was a dearth in the land,
a famine in the land, and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him.
And he said unto his servant,
Sit on the great pot and see the pottage for the sons of the land. And the sons of the prophets were sitting before him. And he said unto his servant, sit on the great pot and see the pottage for the sons of the prophets. And one went out into the
field to gather herbs and found a wild vine and gathered thereof wild gourds, his lap full,
and came and tread them into the pot of pottage, for they knew them not. So they poured out for
the men to eat. And it came to pass as they were eating of the pottage,
that they cried out and said,
O thou man of God, there is death in the pot.
And they could not eat thereof.
But he said, Then bring meal.
And he cast it into the pot, and he said,
Pour out for the people that they may eat.
And there was no harm in the pot.
Now, there might be people out there watching today, Rick, listening today. Rick,
what does this passage have to do with miracle supply? Well, this is a great story. So let's
set the context. There was a famine in Israel. Why? Because the Israelites were in sin. There was rampant rebellion and sin against God. And the pattern,
when a nation sins and refuses to repent and refuses to heed the call of the Lord to turn
from their wicked ways, then the Lord sins drought. Drought leads to famine. And then he sends pestilence, which is plagues caused by animals.
And then the last step is war. If they refuse to repent during all those things,
then he'll send an invading army. So at this stage, Israel was in a state of rebellion,
and there was drought in the land.
The water dried up.
The farms had dried up and people were hungry.
And so Elijah went to Gilgal and he had a he had a prophet school.
He had a Bible college for young prophets and had about 100 young men enrolled in that school. Now, I'm not sure if they all
lived there, you know, 24-7. I don't know what you think, Doc. I kind of, my thoughts are
these were young men who were associated with the school. Right. And when they heard that Elijah was
going to be there. Right. The top, the top professor, the college president.
The dean.
The dean.
The big man himself, Elijah the prophet,
was going to be there.
I believe they all came in.
And they get there and it's like,
hey, did anybody bring food?
No.
The school has no food.
And so now you've got a hundred hungry young men there.
The prophet shows up and he says, you know, they're all looking at him. What are we going
to do? And he goes, we're going to feed the people. What do you mean you're going to feed
them? Look, the pantry is empty. Look outside. Everything's shriveled up. It hasn't rained in a long time.
There's nothing out there.
What did he say?
He said, bring me the great pot.
Yes.
He didn't say, go get me a little saucepan.
He said, bring me the big old honking soup kettle. Get that big kettle out.
The big cast iron one. Yeah, the biggest kettle you got. Bring it out here and set it on the fire.
Well, first of all, you're going to have to fill it up with water to make broth. Remember,
there's a famine. There's a famine. There's a famine.
There's a drought.
Water was scarce.
So that was an act of faith right there.
You're going to pour all the water we have into this pot.
Now, what are we going to eat?
We're going to drink boiling water.
That's it.
I mean, you're going to heat the pot, the kettle.
You're going to make the water boil.
There's nothing in it.
So then what do we have, Doc?
As usual, a religious person, not a faith person.
Right.
A religious person said what?
Basically, I need to help the prophet out.
I better go out and pick some stuff to put in this pot.
I better help God.
Yes.
Because I don't think God can do this without me. And so one of the, we don't know if it was one of the Bible students or
one of the spectators, maybe it was the Gehazi, his servant. I don't know. But somebody went out
and picked, it said a wild vine and brought it in and put it into the pot. There was no instruction by the prophet to
get a wild vine or to do all that, but whoever did this decided to help the prophet out,
prophet Elisha out, and gather this and put it in the pot. Then they worked at it too. They diced
it up. They made, you know, they diced it up in small pieces. So there was a work involved in it,
that there was an effort on their part involved
in making preparation for this and helping out,
not just the man of God, but God himself.
I believe the Hebrew words indicate,
where it says a wild vine, that it was a gourd.
I think the word translated is gourd, which would
be a squash, a pumpkin, you know, melon, cucumber, you know, something like that. So this young man
went out and gathered these wild squash. Let's just say they were squash. Okay.
And as you said, he diced them.
He didn't just throw them in whole.
Right.
He cut them up into little pieces.
And this is important to understand this.
He cut it up into little pieces and threw it in the pot.
So they're making this stew, this soup, and they taste it. And one of the guys yells,
don't eat it. You'll die. It's horrible. It's poison. There's death in the pot. That's what
he said. There's death in the pot. He recognized the bitter taste. He knew that a poisonous plant
had been put into the pot. And he's warning everybody.
Right.
And so the whole thing had been ruined.
The whole thing was bad because they couldn't eat any of it.
But the man of God had a solution.
The man of God had the solution.
The solution was bringing meal, flour, basically, that was ground up.
And he cast it into the pot.
And he said, pour it out for the people and that they may eat and there was no harm in the pot now if you knew that there was death in
the pot you had to have faith in the man of god that when he said there is no more death in the
pot that took faith right there uh that took a lot of people would be thinking you know I think I'm just going
fast all right I've been hungry I've been hungry for days I'll just be
hungry for another day but to me I think the wild gourd the poisonous plant that
was shredded and diced and thrown into the pot. I think it represents false teachings, heresies, unbelief.
And I think that's the key word right there,
that they didn't fully trust the man of God to provide.
So he needed a little help.
So he helped by adding his own ingredients to it.
Which was unbelief.
Which was unbelief. Which was unbelief.
It's the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Maybe we can touch on that later today.
But what does that meal represent then?
It's the flour.
And flour comes from wheat.
Right, the harvest.
The harvest, flour is wheat.
Wheat makes bread.
Jesus is the bread of life.
And so the prophet is the bread of life and so the prophet threw the bread of life into the kettle that had the poisonous plants which represents unbelief uh lack of faith doubt wrong doctrine, wrong teaching, heresies.
And the principle that I see in it is the fact that the Bible tells us
that they diced it up.
They chopped it into small pieces.
It was a work.
Yes, it was work.
Religious.
Religious work.
That's exactly what it was.
It was a religious work to make a miracle.
Religion, trying to do what only God can do.
And so the religious work was poisonous.
And the antidote to religious work is faith.
The antidote is the Word of God. The antidote is the word of God.
The antidote is the bread of life.
And so the fact that it was diced up
into small pieces shows us that
the prophet was saying to the men,
there's too many pieces in there.
We can't pick them out.
Maybe somebody said,
Elijah, let's pick out all
that stuff. Let's just go through the soup and get all those little pieces out and throw it out.
And he said, there's too many. Right. The poison was in the whole pot. It's been boiling. Right.
It's already in there. We'll never get it all out. You can't separate it. It's in the pot. So the principle I see takes us to the parable of the tares.
Yes.
And so you have a field, and somebody sows wheat, which represents Jesus Christ.
But then while good men slept, while good men slept, and sleep represents complacency, indifference, laziness, okay, in that parable.
While good men slept, they weren't watching the field.
The enemy came, which represents Satan, and he sowed tares.
Tares are lookalike wheat.
A lot of people think that the parable of the tares,
that the tares are unsaved people, sinners outside of the church.
No.
They're people in the church.
They look like Christians.
They talk like Christians.
They act like Christians. Just like the servant here was or whoever it was.
Hey, that's a cucumber.
Right.
Bring it in.
That's a cucumber. That's a squash.
It looked like a squash.
It looked like a pumpkin.
But only an expert knew it was poisonous.
See, that's the difference in tares and wheat.
Tares look like wheat.
Tares are fake Christians inside churches that look like Christians. What did Jesus say in
the parable? They said, Master, do you want us to pull up the tares? And he says, no, no, no. If you
pull them up, you might hurt the wheat. What do we do, Master? Wait until the harvest, and then the
reapers will separate the two. And that's why I say the meal represents the harvest.
Yes.
Yes.
So one thing to understand is Elijah didn't need any help
to provide pottage for the Bible school students.
No, he didn't need a wild gourd in there.
He didn't need any of that.
Do you understand that the man of God
could have simply asked God, fill up this pot with porridge, and God would have filled it?
And that's what a lot of people miss in the story, that they don't understand that the man of God could have just said, look, he provided miraculous oil.
They went the long way to the miracle.
Right.
They could have eaten dinner a lot earlier.
Right.
Is that the point you're making? That's right. And so I've just taken the long way to the miracle. Right. They could have eaten dinner a lot earlier. Right. Is that the point you're making?
That's right.
And so I've just taken the long way around on that too.
No, but that's a good point.
They could have eaten dinner earlier had they not added religious works.
Right.
And so what's the instruction that Elisha simply gave?
He said, set on a great pot and seet the pottage for the sons of the prophets.
That was the instruction he gave to Gehazi, his servant.
And that was it.
That was the only instruction that was needed.
There was an expectation at that point.
And, you know, when we're talking about miracle money here,
people try to make their own rules and their own,
try to game the system a little bit.
I'll make it out
in payments or
I'll do half
of the half or something along that line.
I got one the other day that my wife showed me
a letter. So the person got
miracle money right away, Doc.
The miracle money came
right away and he wrote a letter
to us
and he said
I've decided that I'm definitely giving
away the half, but I'm not giving it all to True News. I'm going to split it up with other ministries.
That's the wild vine. That's the wild vine. Look, we're not going to shut down because you didn't give the entire amount.
Right.
You missed the lesson, sir.
I don't know what to say.
You missed the lesson.
You changed the terms of the vow.
You should have made that vow.
You should have made those terms
when you made the vow.
Right.
And so basically they poisoned their pot.
They poisoned their own pot.
They poisoned their own pot, not my pot. My pot has got good stew in it. Right. All right.
There's no dearth in my land. There's no lack. There's no unbelief. But that gentleman put,
he put poison in his pot because he changed the terms of the vow that he made to God.
Yes.
And what I would say is the other ministries, did they challenge you?
Did they challenge you like us to use your faith?
That's what you ought to be thinking about.
The instruction is coming.
God is using us to deliver the instruction to you.
Get the great pot
and put it on the stove.
It would have been better for the man not to
have entered into the relationship
and say, I will fulfill
the commitment than to
add the wild vine.
Because the wild vine poisoned the pot
and the only way to redeem it is
with meal, with a harvest, with the
teaching of the Word of God. Which is truth. Yes. And so there's so much in this particular passage and story about God's
miraculous supply and the factor of unbelief that enters into this relationship when we step out in
faith with God, thinking that we can do something with our own power, our own strength
that will kind of change the terms. The important thing to understand is to know when the man of God
speaks and then obey the instructions of the man of God. And even when mistakes are made,
God can neutralize the mistakes. Right. Because it says,
there was no harm in the pot.
Praise God.
Pour out for the people that they may eat,
and there was no harm in the pot.
Right.
Because Elijah got enough truth into that pot,
that bread, the bread of life.
He got enough truth into that stew
that it neutralized the false doctrines, the poison.
And the poisons were still there, but they were neutralized by the truth.
The truth overwhelmed the poison.
See, we can't get the poisons out of the church right now.
It's been 2,000 years.
There's so much poison.
The birds are in the branches.
So that's a whole other parable there.
Yeah, so you're not going to get it out before Jesus comes back.
I finally came to that place by studying the parables.
I realized, hey, we're not going to get all this false doctrine out of the church.
The important thing to do is to cast the bread in.
Get as much truth into the world as we can.
Let the Lord separate the tares and the wheat
when He comes.
The reaper angels will take care of that task.
Now, this chapter in 2 Kings goes on
in the next few verses,
and there's another miracle at the same Bible college.
So, Doc, let's read those verses.
Right.
So starting at verse 42 there, it says,
And there came a man from Baal Shalisha and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits,
twenty loaves of barley and full ears of corn in the husks thereof.
And he said, Give unto the people that they may eat.
And his servitors said, What should...
Once again, this is Gehazi back in the picture.
What should I set this before a hundred men?
And Elisha said again, Give the people that they may eat,
for thus saith the Lord.
So the man of God is speaking.
They shall eat and shall leave thereof,
which means they'll eat and they'll have leftovers. So he set it God is speaking. They shall eat and shall leave thereof, which means
they'll eat and they have leftovers. So he said it before them and they did eat and left thereof,
had leftovers according to the word of the Lord delivered by the man of God. So this is a
fascinating passage here. We'll break it down a little bit. These are the same people. Yes,
same students and everything.
They'd witnessed the miracle of the pot.
They'd heard the miracle stories of the unlimited oil.
They'd heard about Elisha raising the dead boy.
That just happened recently.
And now we're getting into this story.
And they still haven't quite got it yet, have they?
No.
Haven't quite got that sense of miracle supply in their life.
Because they're in a religious school.
They're studying religion.
They're studying religion and not having a relationship with the Creator.
That's the difference.
And so they didn't have the faith.
You know, they probably wrote, you know, a thesis about Elijah raising the dead or something.
And how God doesn't do that anymore.
Yeah, he stopped doing those miracles.
So these are the same students. This story probably was a one to two days, maybe three days later.
It's all in the same time frame, same Bible college, same hundred guys. And now this time, a devout man, meaning this is an Israelite who believes in the God of Israel with all his heart,
wants to keep the covenant that God had with the people of Israel.
And and so he brings food.
He brings 20 loaves of Israel. And so he brings food.
He brings 20 loaves of bread.
And these are small loaves,
probably what size of dinner rolls or little flat breads, you know?
So not big giant loaves like Wonder Bread
or big Italian, you know,
hoagies and things like that.
No, it's like little dinner rolls and everything.
And then some ears of corn. He doesn't tell us, he doesn't say how many
ears of corn, but this is fresh corn still in the husk. He brings
bread and corn. So
why those two things, Doc? And why did he bring them to Elijah
at that time? Well, first of all, the man's name, Bahal Shalisha,
that means the threefold God.
So this was obviously a man of faith, a man who had a full understanding of the total revelation
of God. He believed in the God in three parts, the Trinity, if you will. And so he was obviously
a devout man, a very devoted man, because he was giving an offering of firstfruits.
Now, it's significant here because, remember,
we're in a famine.
We're in a drought.
And so there might be the tendency
when you're in your famine and your drought
to withhold that gift of faith delivered to ministry.
But this man, Baal Shalisha, said,
I'm bringing my firstfruits. I'm bringing it to the man of God to tell me what to do with it. At that time, if I recall, Israel was being ruled by
Jeroboam, who was a wicked king, and he chased off the priests. He had ended the worship of the Lord.
And a lot of the prophets were in hiding, including these guys.
I can just imagine,
we've been to Jordan
and you see all those pocket caves.
I can just imagine
you've got these students
scattered in some of these small caves
out in the hills and stuff.
They're trying to keep
the word of the Lord alive
in an age of hostility
and unbelief
and hatred of God.
Right.
And so these guys are the loyal remnant that the Lord has in Israel.
And they are keeping the covenant.
And so here's this man who says, I don't care what this evil king says.
I'm operating in faith.
Yes.
I'm believing that if I bring my first fruits to God,
I believe in the full, complete God.
Yes. I believe if I bring my first fruits to God,
there's a blessing in this for me.
He knew the covenant.
Yes.
And he was going to keep the covenant.
He knew the covenant and he knew the God of the covenant.
And he didn't care about the politics of the day.
No. He just didn't care about the politics of the day. No.
He just didn't care about it.
The only thing that he cared about was being faithful to God.
So again, there's still a drought.
This is only two or three days later.
There's still a drought.
Right.
There's still famine.
A hundred Bible college guys are still hungry.
That other meal was a couple days earlier, that soup.
Yeah, and it's gone.
It's gone.
They're scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Now, I maintain that God could have used Elijah to fill that kettle up again.
But there was another lesson that needed to be taught here.
And so he says to his servant, give unto the people that they may eat.
And his servant said,
and I believe this was Gehazi, what should I set this before a hundred men? And so Gehazi,
and listen, Gehazi had seen the miracle, the multiplication of oil. He had seen Elisha raise
the dead boy. He had seen the miracle of the great pot. And yet he's still asking Elisha
here, what? These dinner rolls and some corn cobs, we can't feed a hundred people with this.
Doc, it's the same question the disciples asked Jesus. They saw him raise the dead. They saw him
heal the blind, the crippled. And then they said, you want us to feed all these people with what?
With five loaves and two fishes?
The same questions of unbelief.
It's rooted in unbelief.
Yes.
Their eyes see the miracles,
but their brains can't comprehend faith.
And so Elisha says to the servant,
which, and Jesus also had to repeat this to
his disciples, do it.
He said again, give to the people that they
may eat, for thus saith the
Lord, they shall have, they
shall eat and basically
have leftovers. That was the promise.
Doc, did you notice the first time
let's put that up on the screen. I want to show you
something.
You look at it.
It says,
and he said,
give unto the people
that they may eat.
Then the server,
the servant,
he comes in with his unbelief.
Right.
Okay, his doubt,
his unbelief.
He said again.
Yes.
But this time
he adds a thus saith the Lord. Yes. So somewhere between those two sentences
Elijah heard the voice of the Holy Spirit. There's something different here. Yes. It's he gives an
instruction give unto the people that they may eat, then the religious guy says, what?
That's unbelief. It's negativity. It's doubt. And at that moment, Elijah hears the voice of God
and he repeats it, but he puts an exclamation mark on it. He says, give the people that they may eat, for thus saith the Lord.
What did the Lord say?
They shall eat.
They shall eat.
And shall leave thereof.
Not just that they're going to eat.
Now, we're doubling up.
We're going to have leftovers.
In that split second, while that servant was expressing his negativity, his doubt, his unbelief.
In that short span of time, the Holy Spirit gave a word of life to Elijah, and he spoke it out.
Well, you know, I don't believe the servant believed that the man of God heard from God the first time.
I agree.
And isn't that the problem that a lot of people are having with
miracle money right now? Yes. Oh yes. There's some people who are very upset right now. Because they
don't want to believe that you're speaking on God's behalf. You know what's funny, Doc?
Because I read this stuff that people send. And so some people accuse me being i'm a doom and gloom preacher that's all rick
talks about is doom and gloom okay now they're saying oh he's a prosperity preacher well which
one is it ever satisfied which one is it the truth is i'm telling people the gloom and the doom
that's here and coming yes and i'm a faith preacher telling you, you can only get through it with faith.
So these Bible college students were living through a gloom and doom time.
You better believe it.
There was famine.
There was, you know.
An evil government.
They were waiting for people to show up with food.
Here's a guy with 20 rolls and some corn.
They had an evil government.
That's right.
They had an evil government. And these right. They had an evil government.
And these people were,
Elijah was operating in faith
in the face of an evil government.
And so we need to understand
what God is teaching us right now,
especially through Miracle Money.
This is just a small step of faith
to allow us the opportunity
to stretch our faith muscles
because by September,
by September this year, you're going to need some faith muscles going through some of the things in
the world. Yeah. October, November, I'm telling you, if this war is not diplomatically resolved
in the next two months, three months at the max. This is going to get nasty. I really believe
that there will be a confiscation of energy supplies in this country. I believe today
Zelensky asked Biden to activate the Lynn Lee's law of the World War II.
He was probably doing that while he was doing his Vogue photo shoot. But he wanted energy.
Okay. Lynn Lee says, you know what, Lynn? It says we loan it to you and you give it back.
Well, if I loan you energy and you use up the energy, how do you give it back?
All right. So that just happened today. I personally believe that Mr. Biden will confiscate U.S. energy supplies and send it to Europe as part of the war effort.
Things are going to get really dicey this fall.
OK, and I'm trying to get your faith built up right now because, like I said, summertime, everybody's happy.
But I see winter coming.
Now, I want to show you one more scripture.
And we're going to fast forward into the New Testament Bible.
And now we're talking about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
See, it was Jesus that spoke to Elijah.
That's right.
It was Jesus Christ.
It was him who spoke to Elijah.
So now it's Jesus himself on earth in the form of a human body.
God in human flesh.
What an amazing, amazing idea.
That God himself left heaven and came to earth and went inside the womb of a human woman named Mary
and he made himself into an embryo.
Just wrap your mind around that.
The creator who made Mary,
the creator who invented the womb,
the creator who invented embryos.
He said, I'm going to make myself an embryo
and I'm going to plant myself inside the womb
of a woman I made.
Yes.
And then I'm going to be born with human flesh
and I'm going to walk on the planet I made.
And still be God.
And I'm still God.
And I'm going to save their souls.
That's why the story is the greatest story ever told.
It is the good news.
So we want to read Matthew 14, verses 13 to 21.
All right.
So familiar story, but we're going to give you some new ways of thinking about this.
When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart.
Once again, a desert.
And when the people had heard thereof,
they followed him on foot out of the cities.
And when Jesus went forth and saw a great multitude
and was moved with compassion toward them,
and he healed their sick.
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him saying,
this is a desert place and the time has now passed.
Send the multitude away that they may go into the villages and buy themselves victuals.
But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart.
Give ye them to eat.
And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves and two fishes.
He said, Bring them here to me, hither to me.
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass,
and took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, So we're looking really probably maybe about 5,000 men beside women and children.
So we're looking really probably maybe
around 12,000 people that had been fed there,
if you count families and everything.
And they went home with baskets of food.
Right.
The fragments, I think a lot of people think,
oh, they picked up the trash, the fish bones.
Got a fish head here, a crust someone didn't like.
Right, yeah.
No, no.
This was leftover food.
This was fish and bread that had not been eaten.
Whole fish, whole bread.
Yes.
And you say, oh, that's not true.
Why wouldn't it be true?
You know, if God could multiply fish and loaves.
He could multiply more than enough.
Right.
That's the point.
More than enough.
And that's why people need to get that mindset of faith in there, that God can provide more than enough.
And the leftovers, even the leftovers are blessed.
He fed them and he wanted them to go home carrying extra food.
Why?
Because he loves them.
And he wanted them to tell everyone
you won't believe what happened today.
And here we brought some fish and bread home.
Yes. See, they had
something to testify. They had something
to show people. They went home
and they said,
we were there. Jesus
healed people. Then he fed
us. And
we have all this food left over.
And like 12,000 of us ate.
There is a testimony.
And that's what we're trying to do right now is to get you to ask God for miracle money so that you will testify.
Build up the faith of other people and build up your own faith.
Now, there's a lot of preachers and ministries out there
that want to send the multitude out,
send them back home, let them go buy food.
And that's what the disciples said.
Should we just tell them to go out?
But they're in a desert place.
It's not like they have an A&P down the street
or McDonald's or anything.
They're in a desert plate.
It's late in the day, but they need to be fed.
And here's the religious side of folks telling them, well, just let them go buy something somewhere.
That's not even thinking about the people at all.
That's why what we're doing right now with Miracle Money is we're trying to provide meat for you in due season, which is right now. This is the due season right now. So, Doc, when Jesus, like with Elijah, Elijah said,
bring me the great pot. Yes. And Jesus said, feed them. Elijah said, give that the people may eat.
Jesus said, feed these people. Yes.
Don't send them away.
Feed them.
Feed them.
And the immediate response from his religious leaders, this is his team,
the immediate response was, with what?
Now, in the same verses, it says he healed the people.
Yes.
They'd seen the healings.
We don't know how many healings, what kind of healings.
But we know in Scripture, some of the types of healings that he did, pretty spectacular,
made eyeballs for people, made crippled people walk.
Healed their sick, it says.
And in a crowd of 12,000, it's probably more than a dozen, I would think. So all day long,
these same people, religious leaders, I'm talking about His disciples,
they saw Him doing miracles all day long.
So they could believe for the miracle. They could believe for Him to heal the sick.
But when it came time to eat, they said,
we got to go to the store. Yeah. Or we got to let these people go buy their own food. So where does our own, you and me, where does our unbelief kick
in in our personal lives? Where do we trust God for one thing and doubt him on the next?
I'm talking to myself right now. No, it's a good question.
Where is it easy for me to trust God?
And then an hour later,
I doubt him on something else.
You know, we have a lot of people
that watch us, Rick,
and listen to us
that are faithful monthly donors
that have supported this ministry.
Some have supported this ministry
for 20 plus years
and been faithful.
And they believe God will bless that giving and will multiply it.
But they've never stepped out in miracle money faith.
There's a lot of them out there that have never.
You love us.
You support what we're doing.
They faithfully give from what they have.
They believe that.
From what they have.
Right. But to give from something that you don't have,
and you have to have faith to believe it will come in,
that is too much for their head.
Right.
So to me, that's what this speaks to me a little bit.
The disciples, they saw Jesus healed.
They knew he could do that.
But could he provide for 12,000 people in the desert?
Could he?
No, they didn't think he could.
And so you may be asking, hey, I faithfully give.
I believe God blesses.
I know God blesses when I give.
We see the same thing in John chapter 6.
Let's read this scripture.
So this is John chapter 6 here.
When Jesus then lifted up his eyes and saw a great company come unto him,
he said unto Philip, When shall we buy bread that
these may eat? And this he said to prove him, for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered
him, Two hundred penny worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may
take a little. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said unto him, There is a lad here
which have five barley loaves and two small fishes.
But what are they among so many? And Jesus said, make the men sit down. Now there was much grass
in the place. So the men sat down in number about 5,000 and Jesus took the loaves and when he'd
given thanks, he distributed to the disciples and then the disciples to them that were set down.
And likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto the disciples, and then the disciples to them that were set down, and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
When they were filled, he said unto the disciples,
Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
Therefore they gathered them together and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of five barley loaves,
which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. And so this is a fuller,
get some more details about the feeding of the 5,000.
I like here in the beginning,
he said to Philip,
where are we going to get the food to buy these?
Where are we going to buy all this food?
And Philip said, I don't know, Lord.
You can see the grin on his face.
He's waiting on one of his disciples to say, you can do it.
I believe.
That's what he was waiting for.
He wanted just one of his disciples to say, Lord, we don't have to go to the store.
We're just going to believe for a miracle food.
No, instead, Philip says, you know, we don't have 200 penny worth isn't
we don't have enough money. This isn't, you know, we can't do this. Even if there was a store,
we don't have enough money right now to feed all these people. They still didn't get it.
Where is it that we don't get it? I mean, every day in our personal life, where do we not get it?
Jesus wants to do something for us today, and we miss it.
There was a glimmer of hope there when Andrew says,
you know, there's a kid over here.
He's got five loaves and five barley loaves.
Think about that, five barley loaves.
That goes back to the Elisha story in 2 Kings 4.
But he was probably thinking,
we're going to have to cut them up in a really small piece.
He said, we got five barley loaves
and two fishes.
That's it.
That's what we have to start with.
And so Jesus said,
make the men sit down.
There was order.
Yes.
There was order and organization.
Yes.
There wasn't chaos.
There was order and organization. And there are some people
who profess to be Christians who really have a problem with order and organization. Right. And
God, that God is a God of order. Right. And it also says there that only the men who were sat down
did eat. So there was the idea of submission in there too. So the men sat down, it says later on, and the
disciples to them that were set down. So if you were not
following the Lord's instruction, you say, well, I'm not sitting down. I'm
standing in line for my food. No, the idea there
is you need to rest in the Lord and receive the blessing as it comes to you.
So it also says, when they were filled,
he, Jesus, said unto the disciples,
gather up the fragments that remain,
that nothing be lost.
This is miracle food.
Yes.
Even Jesus is frugal with miracles.
Yes.
Okay.
And what does that mean?
He'll do miracles all day long.
He's not like saying, hey, I'm'm worn out i can't do any more miracles i i i'm tapped out that's not that's not what this means
it means he's not going to waste his miracles right okay when the blessing of the lord comes
to us we are not to waste it right We are to put it to good use.
Not to waste it.
Not to be frivolous about it.
Not to say, oh, look at this.
Look at all the stuff the Lord has given me.
No, that's how the, you want to see the supply dry up?
He says, don't waste it.
So something else to think about here, Rick, is Jesus could have fed all these people himself.
He could have lined all these people himself.
He could have lined them up and just started making food.
Yes.
But he involved his disciples in this process.
He said, this is your task.
You feed the people.
You feed the people. We don't have the resources.
We don't have the ability.
We don't have anything to start with except what little bit we have in our hand.
It comes directly from the Lord, and it goes in the hands of the men of God,
and then they are responsible to hand out the anointing, the blessing,
the miracles to the people.
There's order.
It's passed through. See, this is why I get a kick out of the people that get upset about this.
They don't upset me at all, Doc.
They honestly do not upset me.
I feel sorry for them.
But some of them are like, well, I don't need you, Rick.
I don't need to give 50% of this miracle money to you. You're right. You don't need to give 50% of this miracle money to you
you're right you don't need to
and my response is
go ahead and try to get it without us
get it on your own
if you can get it on your own how come you ain't got it
you should be getting it
every day if you don't need me
I'm not special but I got
an anointing on me I have a calling
on my life.
And God has linked you with me.
And when the Lord is giving an instruction,
coming through me to the congregation that we have,
and you're part of this congregation, the blessing is on you when you obey the instruction, just as we've seen in these examples.
So when somebody says, who's watching and has a rebellious spirit, says, I'm going to ask for miracle money, but I'm not giving half of it to you. That's a rebellious spirit because
you are assuming
that through your works
you can make miracle money appear.
I'm telling
you there has to be a man
of God involved in the process.
There always is. There's a man of God
speaking into a situation.
Because the glory's got to go to Almighty
God.
If not, if not, we will take on credit for it and puff ourselves up.
Now, what if one of the disciples said to Jesus,
listen, this is an impossible thing.
We're not doing this.
He would have missed out on the opportunity
to help feed the 5,000, be a blessing to all these people.
And so you have an impossible situation in your life.
I don't know what your impossible situation is,
but in this situation it was feeding 5,000 people.
That's an impossible situation, and it required miracle supply.
And right now God is speaking to people out there right now. And the Lord has provided an opportunity through Rick to provide a plan for you to experience miracle supply in your life
you know what the situation is you know what the circumstance is you know what the mountain is you
know what your 5,000 people to feed is but whatever whatever it is, it requires understanding that there was instruction given by
the man of God, and then we have an obligation to obey that. It would be better not to make
a promise to say, I'm going to do it, than to say, I'll do it and not follow through.
Yes. And one final principle I want you to understand here before we close it up is I don't want you to get into a mindset that,
oh, you're supposed just to walk around
looking for $100 bills laying around on the sidewalk.
That's how you're going to survive.
No, that's not it.
God's ways, when you read the Scripture,
you see that Jesus changed his ways.
I want to say changed.
Let me say that.
He didn't use the same method all the time.
Not his ways.
He didn't use the same method each time.
Right.
So like in healing, sometimes he healed people just by laying hands on them.
Other times he'd spit in the ground, put mud in their eyes.
Right.
So he didn't use the same method each time so i don't want you to think that i'm teaching you
that the way you're going to pay your bills is just walk around looking for money you know
blowing around and in the grass that's not what i'm i'm trying to teach you to look to god yes
as your unlimited supplier that's the principle that I'm trying to get here. One time he may make,
he may make a hundred dollars just appear. You know, it's just blown around in the grass and
you find it. Okay. The next time he may have a totally different way that he gets money to you.
The point is you trust in God, you're using faith and you have an expectation that he gets money to you. The point is you trust in God.
You're using faith, and you have an expectation that he's going to meet the need.
That's the teaching that Doc and I are trying to get across to you right now.
So take us up on this challenge.
We've got the whole month of August.
Make that pledge to God that you're going to give 50% of the money that he brings to you
supernaturally unexpectedly suddenly now I'm not talking about out of your
regular paycheck not talking about anything like that I'm talking miracle
money is money that appears suddenly from an unexpected source you will know
it you'll recognize it it when it shows up.
And make that commitment
that you believe God for it.
It's going to come to you
before August 31st.
You're going to share
half of it with True News
and then fulfill your vow
and then tell everybody about it.
And just watch
what happens this month.
I'm telling you,
