Although the president handled himself fairly confidently throughout the one-hour news conference, there were some noticeable gaffes that left his cabinet members stunned and supporters grimacing. I'm Rick Wiles.

This is True News for Friday, July 12th, 2024. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's news by looking at this headline published by CBS News. Biden fields questions about fitness to run for president in 2024. He said, I've got I've got to finish this job. Now, before we get into a discussion about the press conference, there was another brief conference at the conclusion of the NATO summit. And President Biden made a horrific blunder as he was introducing the president of Ukraine, Mr. Zelensky. Let's watch. And now I want to hand it over to the president of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination. Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin. President Putin. He's going to beat President Putin. President Zelensky.

I'm so focused on beating Putin, we've got to worry about it. Anyway, Mr. President. I'm better. You are a hell of a better. That was bad. Yeah, that was. And after this, they were supposed to immediately, like within a half hour, go to that news conference. It ended up being a two-hour delay between the end of that session right there and the beginning of the press

conference. He probably had to see a doctor who gave him an injection. I wouldn't doubt it. And so, but yes, there was a significant delay before the actual press conference began. This is the first full press conference President Biden has done in eight months. And they called it a big boy press conference. Yeah, the White House staff earlier this week were calling it big. So it's not us being derogatory about it. That's what the White House said. And, again, Doc, overall, President Biden handled himself fairly well.

I thought so. I don't know you. I mean, I noticed the gaffes. You know, I lost count of how many times he said anyway. Nine times. Nine times? Yes. Okay.

When he says anyway, he's creating a narrative in his head. He's lost his train of thought. Right. And he just goes, anyway, moves to a new topic. So you said there were nine times he said anyway. But he got off to a rough start by referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump. Yes. And as you see, here's the CNN headline.

Biden says Vice President Trump when discussing Harris. A really major blunder here for President Biden. Let's watch. I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president. But I think she's not qualified to be president. So let's start there. Number one. So he says the vice president is Trump,

and then he says she is not qualified to be president. So you get double blunders. Misgendered Trump. It's a double blooper. Right. He got the name of the vice president wrong, and then he said the vice president he referred to, her, she, is not qualified. Well, are you saying Kamala Harris is not qualified? What is the man talking about? to watch this in real time. And his cabinet members were sitting there.

You know, the last group you want to cause to question your mental competency is your cabinet, which can constitutionally invoke the 25th Amendment. Right. As you see this New York Post headline,

We're going to show this to you again, but the camera will be on several of the cabinet ministers, Secretary of State Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Alston, Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor. So let's start there. Number one, the fact is that the consideration. I want to watch it again. Focus in on the facial expressions of the three, four men sitting there. Right. Just try it. You only have like 15 seconds,

but watch the various facial expressions. Jake Sullivan probably did the best at masking his reaction. I disagree. Do you? Yeah, I think Jake Sullivan was worse. It was worse? Okay. By putting his hand to his chin, he was saying

shut up. Okay, because you study body language. Okay, so the hand to the chin says shut up. Yes. Just quit talking. All right, I've got to watch myself if I do that. Does that mean that?

Yeah, that's what it means. Okay. It's pretty obvious there. But watch not only Jake Sullivan but also Anthony Blinken. Anthony Blinken is just like, you know, it's like he freezes up. And Lloyd Austin's just like staring out into space saying, why am I here? But let's watch the three. Like we got to have a meeting. Yeah. Let's watch. I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, but I think she was not qualified to be President.

So let's start there. Number one. The fact is that the consideration... And was the lady there, was that Granholm? It may have been, yes. Did she see her, close her eyes? And so... Because they're thinking of the questions that are going to be asked them when they leave the press conference. Right. And so – in London. Trump mocks Joe Biden over Kamala Harris blunder. He posted a statement on Truth

Social. Crooked Joe begins his big boy press conference with, I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, though I think she was not qualified to be president. Great job, Joe. And then, let's see the next one. This is Mr. Another blunder that that President Biden made was he referred. He said he was talking to his commander in chief. Well, you see, the problem with that is the president is the commander in chief. Yes. So was he talking to Barack Obama? Or the other Joe Biden or whoever. But honestly, maybe in his mind, he was talking to the commander in chief.

Right. We think he made a mistake. Maybe he was very accurate. Let's watch. I'm following the advice of my commander-in-chief, the chief of staff of the military, as well as the secretary of defense and our intelligence people. Well, I think he was talking about the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. That's likely, but he did say commander-in-chief. So there were noticeable gaffes and blunders all throughout the press conference. If you were to remove the gaffes and blunders, yes, I would agree with you.

He probably gave a solid performance. If you remove all the mistakes, he did pretty well, right? Which was what the White House does on interviews. And you've heard the stories here. Another one out of, I think out of Michigan or Wisconsin, another radio station. They edited. They edited the interview. At the request of the White House.

That's right. Because he referred to blacks in his administration. Said he had appointed more blacks. He had more black cabinet members than any other administration. And the White House called and said, could you kindly take these things out? And the station edited the interview for the White House and stood by it and said, we're not going to apologize for doing it. But you can't edit in real time.

And Rick was watching. I was watching. And even my wife was watching. And she's not into politics. She was stunned by i'll tell you conference the next one doc speaking of wives so i i was seated in our living room watching this and susan was behind me in the kitchen listening and when this one came out of his mouth this got susan to speak up and she said did he just say that he had a list of reporters

given to him to ask questions? I said, he sure did. Let's watch. I've been given a list of people to call on here. Reuters, Jeff Mason. Excuse me? You have a pre-approved list of reporters at a press conference. And even later on in the conference, President Biden struggled to read from the list. He would get reporters out of order, and he has the list right in front of him. He lost track of which number he was at. For me, the fact that the White House had pre-chosen the reporters who would be allowed to ask questions, which you can be assured that the questions had already been written, pre-written, and that Biden knew the questions. Why didn't anybody ask this? All the other reporters sat there like little wimps.

Why didn't somebody jump up and go, excuse me, are you saying that only certain people can ask questions? And what are we doing here? What's our purpose in being here? I mean, the rest of the reporters. They were unnecessary, right? They were unnecessary and they were unwilling to challenge the system. Now, think about a typical, normal Trump press conference. How chaotic it was. Right.

The shouting, the chaos at a Trump press conference. But when you get to a Biden press conference... It's orderly. It's beyond orderly. You wait until your name is called. But your name is only called if you have been chosen by the White House. So what is the point in being at a press conference if you cannot ask a question? But even in spite of that, in spite of that,

the reporters were asking questions related to his age and to his health. And even in spite of that, so they were choosing friendly press and even the friendly press was critical. You just come off the NATO summit. That's all they should be talking about, right? Instead, the majority of the questions were talking about Joe Biden's mental capacity and his health. I agree. They should have ended the NATO summit, said, hey, it was a tremendous success, gone into seclusion because the Republican convention starts Monday, and not reappear until after the convention. Right. Oh, I agree with you. They never should have done this press conference.

But they shouldn't have done the debate. Right. You tend to think somebody is deliberately giving Joe Biden really bad advice for the purpose of crashing his presidency. Right. And this time they couldn't blame jet lag or cold or the heartbreak of psoriasis or anything on his performance. The NATO summit was in D.C. Right. It was just a car ride away. Well, did the press conference work? Did it stop Democrats from calling for Mr. Biden to step aside, retire, and let somebody else lead the party?

This guy is the preferred candidate to replace Netanyahu. That's how extreme Israel is going right now. It is a recipe for disaster.
