We will talk more about World War III later in today's program in just a few minutes. First, however, we will begin with a report about what may be spreading bird flu to dairy cows. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Thursday, April 11, 2024. Let's begin with this report published by WRAL-TV. As you see, bird flu has now been found in North Carolina dairy cows. Of course, the news report says the risk is low for humans.

However, the attention I want to focus on this story regarding bird flu in dairy cows. And so we know, I don't know, this may be about the seventh state, Doc, that bird flu has been detected in dairy cattle. Seems like that, yes. But I came across an article in London's Telegraph. Ground-up chicken waste feed, ground-up chicken waste fed to cattle may be behind bird flu outbreak in U.S. cows. I've not seen this report anywhere in America, but this is what they're reporting in London today.

Fears are growing that the H5N1 outbreak among cattle in the United States could have been caused by contaminated animal feed. In contrast to Britain and Europe, American farmers are allowed to feed cattle and other animals ground up waste from other animals, including birds. I didn't know that at all. Never had I heard that before, Rick. And it goes on to say experts fear that H5N1, which was first detected in cows only weeks ago, may have been transmitted through a type of cattle feed called poultry litter. So it goes on to say that this is scraps from the floors of industrial chicken and turkey production plants.

Experts are unsure, but fear it could be the poultry litter feed used in the United States that has passed the virus to cattle. Right. And they have this quote from the London Telegraph in the U.S. The feeding of poultry litter to beef cows is a known factor in the cause of botulism in cattle and is a risk in the case of H5N1. That's coming from Dr. Steve Van Winden, associate professor in population medicine at the Royal Veterinary College. Dr. Tom Peacock, a virologist and fellow at the Perbright Institute, agreed this latest case wouldn't be the first time that there have been concerns that H5N1 could be moving through different mammals via contaminated feed. He cited the outbreak of avian flu in cats in Poland last year, which experts suspected might have been transmitted through mink byproducts used in raw cat food. I did not know that we were feeding cows chicken waste. That was a new one for me.

It's trash from the floor of chicken farms, the big industrial chicken farms. So it includes the chicken droppings, feathers, whatever feed is on the floor. Whatever hits the floor basically. Whatever is on the floor. And they scoop floor, basically. Whatever is on the floor. And they scoop it up and they feed it to cattle. I just – to me, it just – I didn't know cows would eat other animals. And so – Well, I don't think the cow knows what they're eating.

I'm sure they don't. It's mixed up in the cattle feed. And now here – this is why I'm starting this, today's true news with this story. You're telling me, these scientists here, you're telling me that scraps, litter from infected chickens. Right. Infected with bird flu. Fed to cows. Is giving bird flu to cows.

Okay. I don't know where you're going with this. Why should I believe the government officials who say that eating a chicken with bird flu is not going to infect me with the virus? Why? If the bird poop and the feathers transmit it, then wouldn't the raw meat of the chicken transmit it? How about the eggs and the meat?

There's something wrong with the story, Doc. This article is nowhere in the United States. Maybe it is. I couldn't find it. I found it in the London Telegraph. What I did find, Reuters, which is also a British news agency, bird flu pushes U.S. dairy farmers to ban visitors and chop down trees. Now, the chopping trees is what got me, but we'll explain it here in the story.

Reuters spoke to seven dairy farmers in five states who said they are reinforcing safety and cleaning procedures, with three producers exceeding government recommendations. Think of our farm now as a gated community for cows, said Karen Jordan, who raises about 200 dairy cattle in Siler City, North Carolina. Only the most essential person can get past the gate. Now, even before North Carolina's outbreak, Jordan said she was limiting visitors who could unintentionally carry in contaminated bird droppings on boots or vehicles. It also says she has started chopping down about 40 small trees to avoid attracting wild birds during spring migration. So that explains this chopping down of trees. But it seems like the farmers, the cattle and the dairy farmers in North Carolina, they're taking this very seriously.

But it doesn't seem like – They're going into farm lockdowns. Right. I've never heard of such a thing. Farm lockdowns. That's how far they're going. And while you were away, we had a report, Doc, that health officials in Great Britain are encouraging social distancing from birds. Yes, I saw that article. Did you?

Yes. They're telling people to stay like six feet away from a bird. Well, can we tell the birds that? I mean, I avoid birds anyway, but. Well, you know, I mean, I'm thinking now, you know, I mean, my yard is full of birds. That's true. And I feed birds and I attract ducks. I have, you know, I average anywhere from 50 to 100 wild ducks in my yard every morning

and every evening at sunrise and sundown. Where are we, you know, in a couple of months, are these ducks going to be infected? Am I going to be told by wildlife officials, you can't feed these birds anymore. You know, they're infected. They're going to die. You got to stay away from them. And what do you do with sick birds that are, I mean, I haven't thought about that. I've got a creek that runs through my property. I have a lot of birds. I have a lot of waterfowl. I've got a lot of ducks

that hang out in my yard. My yard is like, you know, a safe zone for ducks. If ducks are infected with bird flu, what happens to property owners that have hundreds of infected wildlife on their property? This is moving pretty fast. Right. And all of us need to be thinking about it. I would encourage you to, if you like eating eggs, this would be a good

time to stock up on dried powdered eggs like they have at American Reserves. I've got buckets full of them at my house and they taste very good. This would be a good time to do that because if

bird flu, and that's the underlying word, if. If bird flu develops into a pandemic here in the United States and throughout the world, you're going to see a massive disruption in the food supply. It eliminates all poultry. It just eliminates the dog. Yeah, they'll cull every... Hundreds of millions of chickens and ducks and geese and turkeys. It'll just wipe them out immediately. Not the virus. I mean, the virus obviously will kill a lot of them, but governments will mandate the culling of millions of birds on poultry farms. But now we're seeing this jumping into other species now.

And so in that Reuter story, I mean they're not feeding the dairy cows contaminated feed. The farmer there that was being mentioned said we're worried about bird droppings on the ground. We don't want somebody even accidentally bringing in bird droppings on the ground. And they're so concerned they're chopping down the trees around the farm. Right, to prevent birds from having access to the same area as the cows. They're taking this very seriously. Look, we could be in a bird flu lockdown by the fall of this year. Right.

With mandatory bird flu vaccination orders, mandatory lockdowns, restrictions. Don't rule it out. Along with war, along with a lot of end time stuff happening simultaneously. That's where we're at right now in 2024. Be wise. Be prepared. You can't say that we didn't tell you. We've been telling you every day for years to be prepared.

So let's go to World War III. We just gave you the plague story. Here's the telegraph. Doc, look at this. Yes, I saw this. Did you notice what this is? Early this morning. Russian hypersonic missile strike

destroys one of Ukraine's biggest power plants. I had to do a double take when I saw it. Like, hypersonic missiles are now working their way into the news headlines.

Right. A year or two ago, we were talking about they're developing hypersonic missiles. Yes. Now they're using hypersonic missiles, and nobody's even batting an eye about it. Right. And this is a major change in strategy for the Russians too. Now they are directly hitting infrastructure in and around Kiev. That's another important part of this.

A hulking Soviet air power plant on the outskirts of Kiev was completely destroyed by a Russian hypersonic missile in a large-scale attack against Ukraine's energy infrastructure. said power facilities were hit in five separate regions across the war-torn country as Moscow unleashed a barrage of more than 80 missiles and drones in the early hours of Thursday morning. Footage shared on social media appeared to show a thick plume of black smoke in the skies as the fire raged at the Trypilska coal-powered thermal power plant about 25 miles south of Kiev. And we have some video of that here right now as we look at that. Mansi fire at the power plant. And that's in the city. Right. That's in the heart of the city.

It's one of the three primary sources of power for Kiev. And so the Russians are definitely sending a message with this. Actually, it prompted Vladimir Zelensky to make a statement last night saying we were unable to knock down any of the missiles that came in. That is another facet of the story that we need to pay attention to. Russia is stepping up its ability to deliver destruction to Ukraine without Ukraine being able to defend itself against it. And, Dr., you remember, I don't know, maybe two months ago, I said, you know, we're headed into the final phase of this war between Russia and Ukraine because the pressure is on now. And Russia is going to step up.

They haven't – up until now, they've been using their old stuff. They've been depleting their World War II arsenal. We have too. We have, yes. Plus experimenting with some new stuff. And I said at some point you're going to see the Russians starting to bring out their heavy-duty new stuff. Yes. Short of nuclear weapons, scalar weapons. So the Russians are now using hypersonic missiles. Do you know how fast that thing arrived?

Right. And that's what really got me about the story is, of course, that Zelensky said we were unable to defend ourselves against these. They didn't see it coming. Right. were unable to defend ourselves against these they didn't see it coming right so the ukrainians have been hitting uh russian uh oil refineries with american british made you know western-made drones and they've been very successful and and i've seen some reports saying that the the russian uh energy industry is is feeling the the impact because they've hit so many refineries.

In fact, it prompted our own secretary of defense when he was testifying in Congress the other day saying that we're encouraging Ukrainians not to do this because you could disrupt the oil supply. There are other targets. For the world. Right. There are other targets that you in other words we the u.s and nato we want to sanction russian oil but we don't want to destroy it right we just want to make it hard for them to sell it we don't want to make it impossible for them to refine it and so ukraine has been hitting them but they're uh mr biden is very worried that the last thing he wants is gasoline selling at four or five,

six dollars a gallon going into the election. Because that costs him votes. A lot of votes, even among Democrats.
