Starting point is 00:01:45 Months ago, the Democrats were weighted down with the unpopularity of an aging Joe Biden and his Bidenomics. It's a great show. anointed as his replacement. And overnight, the news media declared that Kamala Harris's popularity was soaring. Mrs. Harris had a dilemma. She could not run on the merits of Bidenomics. She had to come up with a plan to undo four years of inflation. The vice president's advisors gave her a plan that borders on plagiarizing Nicolas Maduro's platform, which is communism. If you believe the polls, half of the American public loves it. Well, I need to check in with the trends expert, Gerald Salenti, to get his perspective on the mood of the American electorate as we go into the fall of 2024. Gerald is the publisher of Trends Journal, a publication that I have read for many years. Always a pleasure to have Gerald Cilenti here. Hello, Gerald. Good to see you.

Starting point is 00:02:37 Thanks for having me. I appreciate being on with you guys. It's a real honor. I thank you so much for all that you do. And so few do what you're doing. And if we had a mainstream media that put out anything that you were doing, we'd have peace on earth, goodwill to all, and America would be the country that our founding fathers fought for that we've lost. So thank you so much for having me. I appreciate that, Gerald. You've been one of the longest running guests on this program. We're in our 25th year. I don't recall the first year you came on the program, but you've been around with me for a long, long time. You were ahead of us years before as a trends expert. And I followed you for many, many years.

Starting point is 00:03:29 So here we are, Gerald, it just seems like every year reality becomes stranger. And, you know, I try to tell younger people what you think is reality. This is weird. It's just strange. It's not normal. I don't even know what normal is anymore. I want to talk about, I want to cover a number of topics here today, many of them that are in this month's issue of Trends Journal. Let's start with the economy. So we have Vice President Kamala Harris has overnight gone from one of the most unpopular vice presidents in history to one of the most popular vice presidents. It's amazing.

Starting point is 00:04:16 It's a miracle. And she had to come up with a plan that undoes four years of financial disaster called Bidenomics. Gerald, what she is floating in recent days is really a populist version of Marxism. Look, the whole thing is, I call it a crime syndicate, you know, both parties to me. And they'll do anything they can to win. They're politicians. And if you go back to our trends journal, I'm going back to May of 2022. The midterm elections were going. And we said that Trump was very unpopular.

Starting point is 00:05:14 And he was 79 years old at the time because of the economic conditions in America. Again, I want to make this clear. And as Trent forecasts, it's not what you like, not what you want, not what you wish, not what you believe in. It's what is. So when I say this, this upsets a lot of people because what they believe in.

Starting point is 00:05:39 We said that Harris was going to be the heir to the Democratic throne. You said it in 22. Yep. And we sent out, by the way, a special trend alert almost a month ago stating all the facts. They're written there. Again, it's a weekly magazine. The facts written there. Again, it's a weekly magazine. The facts are there. We said that the Republicans weren't going to do as well as they should in the midterm elections

Starting point is 00:06:12 because of a single issue that is very important to a majority of the voters, abortion. The Republicans came out very strongly anti-abortion. We said Kamala Harris is going to hit the campaign trail in 2022. She's going to be pro-abortion. And the only two things she could talk about are, and here's your trend alert alert the only two things she could talk about were abortion platform and the ukraine war we said this was our 2017 may 2022 trend forecast harris has aspirations to be president of the United States, and she knows that her boss is an unpopular president who is 79 years old. She wants to be the party's standard bearer and needs to start making a name for herself. Harris will seize upon abortion rights because there seems to be only two things she

Starting point is 00:07:26 could unite her front, Ukraine war, support, and pro-abortion. So again, that's exactly what happened. And you look at the data, you look at the NBC polls, how many people are pro-abortion, how many people are against it? She's going to get the majority of the woman vote, the majority of the black vote, and the majority of the Hispanic vote. And it's going to be the strong, I hate Trump's vote that wouldn't have gone out to vote if Biden was running. Again, it's not what you like what you want what you wish it's what is and again the trends journal was the only magazine calling biden a winner in may of 2016 when all the polls said he would lose so we call it the way it we see it not Not what we want. You mean 2020? I'm sorry. No, 2016. When he ran in the first election.

Starting point is 00:08:29 Biden. I'm sorry. Trump. I meant Trump. Okay. All right. Yeah. Trump against Hillary Clinton.

Starting point is 00:08:35 Yes. You know, I keep getting these names mixed up in dates and stuff. But anyway, 2016, we said Trump would beat Clinton when all the polls said the opposite. So we call it like we see it, not what we want. So, Gerald, right now, here we are in the last week of August 2024, and Joe Biden is now out of the race. Kamala Harris is now the nominee. In fact, this week, the Democratic Convention is underway. They've already nominated her. I don't even know why they're having a convention.

Starting point is 00:09:14 And then President Trump, his sentencing is back on schedule. It had been disrupted for about two months after the Supreme Court decision. But now the New York court has scheduled September 18 to sentence Donald Trump, which he's facing, you know, 138 years in prison. You live in New York. Do you think that they're going to handcuff this guy on the 18th and put him in a paddy wagon? Yeah, who knows? You know, again, as much as, again, I want to make this clear. I don't support either of them.

Starting point is 00:09:57 I don't like either of them. The day that Trump was elected back in 2016, the headline in USA Today was new president has, you know, Trump was elected back in 2016. The headline in USA Today was new president has, you know, 24 lawsuits against him or something like that. It wasn't we have a new president. Oh, how wonderful. The whole Russiagate thing, total fraud. We said it from the beginning.

Starting point is 00:10:24 Again, it's not what we like, what we want, what we wish. We report as it is. They're going to do everything they can to bring them down. Everything they can. Almost assassinated. So, again, it's a crime syndicate. They're murderers and thieves. How much more proof do you need? I want that guy Gaddafi out of there. I'm a Nobel Peace of Crap Prize winner, Barack Obama. I want that guy Assad out of there. Oh, no Nobel piece of crap prize winner, Barack Obama. I want that guy Assad out of there. Oh, no, you got to say it properly, Salenti. Oh, how about George W. Bush? Look what he did to the big lie about the Iraq war. What did he kill? Over a million people over there. And again, the facts were there. There were no weapons of mass destruction. Oh, look what they just did to Scott Ritter.

Starting point is 00:11:06 Oh, the top U.N. weapons inspector at the time that said there were no weapons? Oh, how about Phil Giraldi, top CIA guy that went into George Bush's office and said, look, here's the facts. There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. And Bush told him to leave. This is a top CIA guy, and Giraldi being the man that he is, he quit. So what I'm saying is they'll do anything. These are maniacs. They're evil, demonic people that are only interested in themselves. I agree. By the way, Phil Giraldi, I had the pleasure of meeting him several months ago when I was in Arlington, Virginia.

Starting point is 00:11:49 He was in the audience. I was there to speak and he was in the audience. I got the opportunity to meet him and have respected him for quite some time. But, Gerald, you're absolutely right. We're dealing with crime syndicates. And I said in March of 2017, Donald Trump had only been in the White House since January. And I said the race is on to see who goes to prison first. Between the Clintonistas and the Trumps. All right. Who's going to go to prison first? And, you know, Trump has been losing ever since. And he's very close to going to prison in September.

Starting point is 00:12:37 Let's say that they put him in prison. All right. Whether it's a year or 100 years. He's taken out of the presidential race, even if it's six months, if it's two months. So what happens, Gerald, if the American people are looking at the news and they're seeing Donald Trump handcuffed, led out of a courtroom by a bailiff, put in a police vehicle and taken to Rikers Island. What happens at that point? There'll be, I'd say about 60 percent of the people will love it and 40 percent of the people will hate it.

Starting point is 00:13:19 It's going to be a civil war. Do you think do you think violence will break out? Yes, I absolutely do. I absolutely do. I absolutely do. You know, talking about Clinton. This was a T-shirt that we got made when Bill Clinton was running for president. Just to make it clear how I feel about this stuff. In 1992. I don't know if you could see it.

Starting point is 00:13:44 You see that? Beware, yes. Beware, Slick Willie. Yep. People forget what a lousy piece of scum this guy was. Oh, how about the guy that gave us NAFTA? I'm in upstate New York in Kingston. There used to be things called factories up here that all moved to Mexico.

Starting point is 00:14:13 Oh, this is the Bill Clinton that gave us the World Trade Organization, bringing China into the World Trade Organization. So more manufacturers left to get slave labor. Oh, this is the Bill Clinton, the 1996 Federal Communications Act that destroyed the media business. Now six business, six companies own 92 percent of the media. Oh, this is the Bill Clinton did away with the Glass-Steagall Act. This is the Bill Clinton who's Madeleine Albright or Madeleine not all that bright. May she rot in hell. That's on 60 Minutes when she was the U.N. ambassador for the United States, and anybody could Google this up, when Leslie Stahl asked her, is the price of 500,000 Iraqi children that have been died because of what Bill Clinton did to Iraq worth the price?

Starting point is 00:15:00 And Madeleine Albright said, yes, it is. So we knew that when you were saying whether they're going to take out Trump or Clinton, now, the Democrats control, they're in control. They got the money, the banksters behind them more than anybody. They're going to do everything they can to get rid of Trump. I'm Jake, but my friends call me Moose Jaw. People have no idea about the 15,000 people the Ukrainians killed in the Donbass region. Because they said, no, this government that you're putting in there is a phony government. We did not vote for them. We voted for Yanukovych and you got rid of him. We're not we're not on your side. Yes, you are. People have no idea of the slaughter going on before Russia launched its military operation against Ukraine

Starting point is 00:18:20 on February 24th, 2022. And right now, after spending hundreds of billions of dollars by the West to defend democracy in Ukraine, Zelensky, his term expired months ago. He's a usurper. He canceled the elections. He declared martial law. He remained in power. He jailed political opponents. Yes, jailed his opponents, put church bishops in prison, and he is the leader

Starting point is 00:18:55 of democracy. You missed something. What? He also knows how to play the piano with his penis. Yes. Well, that's his greatest fame. Yeah. This, when I say, look at the freaks that are running the show. You can't, you can, you could not make this up.
